I personally like to think of Reiklings and Goblins from The Elder Scrolls, but it's up to HoD.

They are shorter than humans by about 1-2 feet, but only because they are hunched over all the time. If they stood upright they would be a head taller than most men. And they are indeed stronger than humans too. Better senses too. Oh, also they aren't green, they are light blueish grey in color.

Explanation of Nia's rapier:
It absorbs the kinetic energy from impacts, and converts it into heat energy, causing the blade to get hot, without loosing structural integrity that occurs when blades are heated. So in theory, Nia could just hit something with her sword for like and hour amd she'd eventually just have a lightsaber. However, the blade cools fairly rapidly.
