Fantasy The Lost Treasure of Creation

Geir Brandr Ignatius

Location: Mining Village/Mines

With: Unila, Eihrodeign, Lani, Mavndrus, Leandor; Near:Auluua

As the rest of the group started to fall into formation, Geir looked around at everyone to see who might be able to carry Unila. Leandor or Eirho were out -- while they were both large and strong, the formation leader and the the end needed to be alert, as they were the first lines of defense. There was absolutely no way that Geir would allow Mavndrus to hold her -- not that the prince would, anyway. Too 'undignified' or something, he was sure. Then there were the girls. Lani was too short; while she was almost certainly strong, since she was a dragon, the size difference would be cumbersome and make it difficult to move around, which seemed to be the girl's main defense, from what Geir had seen so far. Which left him or Auluua. Auluua was definitely tall enough, but Geir had no idea about her strength, and she had been found injured from the fall into the mines, even if Unila had healed her. Her position was likely safer for Unila to be in, but the dragon wasn't sure of the elf girl's abilities yet, and in the end, it seemed much less inconvenient for him to simply carry the girl himself, since no one else was offering to do so.

Walking away from his place in the formation for a moment, Geir knelt down by Unila. In order to effectively carry her and be able to fight, he was going to have to put away one of his swords. Adjusting the shirt that Unila had so it was now being worn by the girl, the dragon put the thinner sword away in its sheath on the back of the shirt. He then picked the girl up, being careful not to get her with his other sword, and slung her over his shoulder as gently as he could. Probably not the most comfortable of positions for her, but it was the most secure place that also allowed Geir to fight if he needed to. Returning to his place in the formation, the dragon started to follow the older dragon farther into the mines, expecting the others to follow in their respective positions. Teal balls of flame lit the way up ahead, illuminating the dark mine shaft in a blueish glow.
I wonder if we'll run into the source of that laughter up ahead, the dragon wondered.

Leandor looked as Geir proped the injured girl over his shoulder and then over to Mav. He also had noticed but made no attempt to help. Mav could easily summon a dark familiar to carry the poor girl at the center of the formation making it easier but Mav didnt feel like these people should have to privelege of such help. Leandor sighed a little knowing it wasnt his placed to tell Mav to help so he continued on. But out of nowhere a black and purplish cloud appeared swirling a little next to geir and Mav staff was glowing but he was h still facing the other way. Out of the cloud a black fiery figure appeared. It was a shadow horse, its eyes burned bright purple and its mane flicker like a black and purple flame not hair. Leandor smiled a little This trip seemed to have matured him a bit. Mav huffed fixed some hair out of his face. Even though he was very stubborn and proud Mav could be chivalrous at times just cause he didnt like the teal haired fellow didnt mean he had to make the poor girl suffer to and as a prince he couldnt sit back and not help a maiden even if she wasnt a elf. Though he didnt want the group to see that he had a soft spot he said "Well dont just stand there drape her over the horse and lets keep moving, if he was holding her that might comprimise the formation and might endanger my life." Leandor laughed a little to himslef knowing that wasnt the real reason.

Eri Zabelan
Eri narrowed her eyes. There were too many scents of people..one extra breath. It didn't astonish her when Kokoro stopped and aknowledged a man in front of the group.

As her eyes slowly grew atuned to the darkness a small smile came. It reminded her of her own home. Although it might be a little darker. Studying the man in front of the group she came to the conclusion of man. Although the strange sense he gave her promised of a magical man.

Either this man came here to search on his own. Or, he is gaurding his home, or even, a valuable object. Eri's eyes narrowed slightly, her curiosity and suspicion making her want to burst with questions. 'Be patient.' She chidded herself, calming her mind. 'All questions you have can and will be answered.' Eri promised and waited patiently.

Keir Sullivan?

The shadow withdrew its whip when the attack missed, not wanting to chance Arya moving too close to be hit. It noted with satisfaction the look on her face as she winced momentarily. Seeing her bring her arm up, blood rising into the air around her, it could easily predict her next attack. The shadow's face bore a look of contempt as it blocked the droplets raining down from above. "You're going to have to try a little harder than that," it laughed, completely overlooking the blood trickling by its feet. Noting Arya's obvious exhaustion, it felt certain that it could beat her. After all, she looked ready to drop, while it hadn't suffered even a scratch. "I'm going to rip you apart and scatter your entrails across the floor. Both you and Keir will die here. While your remains lie in a pool of blood, he will finally have lost his little remaining strength," the shadow told her, grinning sadistically at the thought. It whirled its whip above its head a few times before swinging it towards Arya again.

Geir looked over at the dark horse that had appeared. Great, the elf was actually helping. The dragon didn't really know how to feel about that; on one hand, this really was a good solution to their problem, and seemingly out of character for the elf, but on the other hand, Geir really didn't like Mav, and really didn't want to accept his help. However, it would be stupid for him to not accept the offer, personal feelings aside. He may not like the elf, but he would have to try to get along with him...for now. The dragon begrudgingly placed Unila on the dark steed, making sure she was secured on the horse's back. Grabbing his thinner sword from the sheath on the girls back once more, the dragon moved back to his place in the formation, refusing to look over in Mav's direction. He didn't want to see if the man looked smug or had any other annoying facial expressions at Geir's giving in to work together.

The mine shaft up ahead began to become a but more difficult to traverse. The occasional narrow passageways and rubble along the floor meant that the group would have to break formation occasionally to get passed obstacles, but for the most part their formation was easy to stick to. Geir made sure that he was always lighting the way up ahead, and a little behind the group, so that they'd be less prone to sneak attacks from enemies hiding in the dark. The group carried on like this for a while, until they eventually reached a part of the mine that looked like a cavern had been dug out of the wall, much different than the shafts of the mine they had been traveling that was held up by wooden beams. This cavern was large, and practically free of rubble, unlike the rest of the mine that they had been walking through. Geir looked over at the cavern curiously, wondering if there might be a passage somewhere within the cave that might lead to a way out. Of course, it could also be a trap.

Raiquen Nguyen

Raiquen was startled to hear another voice speak out of the darkness. Because he wasn't expecting it, he couldn't focus enough to make it out clearly. He was pretty sure that the voice was male, though. How had that person gotten in? Unless there was another entrance, he would have had to move the boulder, an impressive feat. If this person was that strong, Raiquen hoped that he wouldn't be forced to come into conflict with him, as he didn't like his chances if that happened. Can you make him out at all? He asked the two ravens, hopeful that they could still see enough so that all three weren't left completely blind.

Sorry, Merle responded, I can't see him very well. He's farther back, away from the light from the entrance. I think he's a little to the left of the direction you're facing, though. Raiquen turned a little, hoping to appear as if he was addressing the person before he spoke. He managed to turn too far, however, and ended up facing a wall. Berhtram snickered slightly, so Raiquen readjusted himself, this time facing the correct direction.

"Who're you?" He asked the man in his customary mumbled fashion, though he sounded a bit more hostile than usual. "What... want?" The fact that this man had just appeared out of the darkness made him uneasy, and not being able to see him didn't help. For all Raiquen knew, this was some monster from the depths of the tomb. For someone who slept all of the time, he really didn't like the dark; it reminded him too much of the dungeon in which he had spent the majority of his life. Still, Raiquen waited patiently for the man's answer.

Thomas Nightingale

Thomas looked at the trio for a hot second before answering, "So... Why is there a tiger enkidu, raven hybrid, and a dragon doing in these tombs?" Thomas hoped that revealing the information he had gathered from a short glance would deter them from immediately attacking. "Now, to answer your questions, yes, I do have a light." He grabbed a torch handle nearby, and lit it using his light manipulation. He hoped that they would believe he controlled fire, instead of light in general. He didn't trust them fully yet, but they hadn't attacked him yet. "I am Thomas, Thomas Nightingale. I'm in here looking for a rare artifact that I could use to make some money." Thomas revealed. "Now, what are you doing here?"

With: Keir? / Near: Keir, Ireth, Vanathell, Pansa, Lyla

Arya took a few more deep breaths, then actually smiled. She gave out a small, quiet laugh, before turning her red eyes towards the shadow Keir, keeping the small smile on her face for a time. "You talk a lot," she stated as the whip traveled towards her. This is what she was waiting for. Turning her scythe so it was angled upwards, she used it to hook the whip with the curved blade, slowing it enough for the girl to reach out and grasp it firmly with her right hand. Her armor saved her hand from the majority of the damage that the whip could cause, but it did cut into her skin in places where it slipped between the cracks of the finger joints of her armor. Wrapping the whip around her hand to get a better grip, the girl held on tight as blood from her hand ran down the whip towards the shadow Keir.

"Entrapment," the blue haired girl stated quietly, her neutral expression back on her face. As soon as the word came out of her mouth, the blood that had sneaked behind the shadow Keir rose up, aiming to grab hold of the shadow's arms, legs, waist, neck, anything and everything that it could to restrain the shadow while the blood running down the length of the whip began to pick up speed, morphing to a sharp, needle-like point as it hurtled towards the shadow Keir. Arya wasn't aiming to kill, however -- who knew what destroying this creature would do to Keir. But, the blood she was sending towards the fake man now would at least be very painful if it hit, and her trap should restrain him long enough for her to get to the real Keir, as long as the trap actually worked.

Eri Zabelan
Already she didn't trust this man. Too coy, too smooth. A question ran scross her mind and Eri narrowed her eyes. "Might I ask, what is this artifact you seek?" Eri called to the man. "I am Eri. And yes I am a dragon." She decided to add, trying to calm the situation. Already she disliked how everyone was so unaquainted. But it would be better if they continued without knowing eachother too well. But it still wouldn't suffice to only know the name and species Of the others.

A thought came to mind, something that was bothering her since Thomas replied to Kokoro. 'He is a magic human. And his power is fire?' She knew many dragons could disguise themselves as humans. But she kmew how to distinguish a dragon from a human. And this man was most definitely human. Strange. Coming to a decision to watch the man.

Kokoro Himura

Location: Desert Tomb

With: Raiquen, Eri, Thomas

Ah, light. Perfect. "Sounds like the beginning to a bad joke, doesn't it?" Kokoro responded to the man's first question. She wasn't particularly phased by him knowing their races. Her own species was very obvious thanks to her tail and ears, and she had come to the same conclusion about Raiquen due to his wings and elf-like ears. The dragon guess was only slightly harder, but it wouldn't have been difficult to tell in the tomb -- dragons had eyes that glowed, and in the dark, that would have been obvious. One of Kokoro's ears twisted in Eri's direction as the dragon girl spoke, asking about the artifact that the man sought. She wasn't thrilled about the man's mentioning of selling a rare artifact, either. That was likely the very thing that she had come to find, but she didn't want any tension in the air causing fighting before they were even really in the tomb. Besides, the group really needed the light. Stepping in, Kokoro decided to answer the man's other questions, at least for her own part. "I am Kokoro Himura. I am here searching for something that will save someone very dear to me. That is all you need to know, as you belong here just as much as we do," less, even, as this tomb was the tomb of an ancient enkidu king, and this man was clearly not an enkidu. Most likely human, based on the fact that his eyes didn't glow and he had rounded ears. "We wouldn't mind if you would like to accompany us. I am very good at disarming traps, and my companion here would very much appreciate some light," she suggested, giving the man a smile. She was accruing quite the group of people, and was a little concerned about that -- really, she would have preferred to do this alone, but that was mostly because she liked solitude.

Thomas Nightingale

Thomas stayed silent for a moment, debating on how to answer them. "I'm looking for an ancient Artefact that boosts all my magical capabilities. It was rumored to be within this tomb, which is why I'm here." Thomas said smoothly. It wasn't a lie, more of a half truth. Thomas had learned that out right lying never really worked, but rarely did anyone pick up on his half-truths. He had gotten too good at manipulating the truth over the years, and had only been caught when he was younger, first starting out. "I'll gladly join this group, and I hope that you find what you're looking for." Thomas replied, looking at Kokoro. Thomas glanced at the small kid. "Hey kid, who are you?" While he waited for an answer, he grabbed more torch handles and lit them, giving them out to his new companions.

Keir Sullivan?

The contemptuous look on the shadow's face quickly turned to one of shock as Arya caught its whip. It tried to pull it back, but the attempt was in vain. She had a firm grasp on the whip. The shadow's shocked expression became even more prominent as it suddenly felt something reaching up behind it, and looked down to see a trail of blood running past. Dammit! It thought as the blood wrapped around it, beginning to restrict its movement. When did she - how? The shadow struggled wildly, but was unable to break free. Any attacks went right through the liquid, and it came back mere seconds after being dispersed.

Furious, the shadow looked up and saw more blood running straight down the whip to it. The pointed end was headed straight for its stomach. It fought even harder to throw off the bloody shackles, desperate to escape them. Once again, the shadow found that its bonds weren't easily broken. The spear of blood impaled it through the stomach, a black liquid spraying out as it did so. The dark, oil-like blood of the shadow splattered across the ground, and it fell to its knees. "Curses!" It spat at Arya, venom in its voice. Its eyes were even redder now in its fury. "I've got to hand it to you; that hurts. Even if you destroy this body, though, I won't go away. You can't get rid of me that easily." A trail of blood trickled down from its mouth. "Fine. Rescue Keir if you want. He's probably beyond saving at this point anyways, and I'm not getting rid of this barrier." The shadow sat back against the wall, still restrained. It would just have to wait for another chance to strike.

In the crack in the wall, Keir groaned slightly. He had a terrible fever, and sweat ran down his face. He woke up slightly, but was too delirious to comprehend what was going on. He ached all over and was shivering. Vaguely thinking that this was easily the most ill he had ever been, he passed out again, a pained expression on his face.

Raiquen Nguyen

Raiquen immediately hated this man. He figured that there was only one possible rare artifact Thomas could be looking for; the lost treasure. At least two people here needed it for viable reasons, and the arrogant fool was planning to use it to make money? Even when Thomas attempted to make an excuse, saying that he was looking for something to boost his magical capabilities, it obviously didn't add up. He had just said he wanted it for money; one wouldn't sell something that boosted their abilities. Berhtram and Merle evidently felt the same way Raiquen did about the man; they puffed up their feathers, trying to look more aggressive. Berhtram didn't even find it amusing when Thomas called Raiquen a kid. "I'm not... kid," Raiquen replied, his usually innocent tone sounding extremely cold. The man's almost condescending tone, even if accidental, infuriated him. As a hybrid, he constantly had to deal with people like this, who looked down on others. He pretended not to hear that the man had asked for his name as well.

The human's trying to hand you a torch. Berhtram reported. His actions, um, seem threatening to me. I'll protect you! The large raven launched himself at Thomas, beating the man with his wings and cawing loudly. Neither Raiquen nor Merle felt like saying anything to stop him, as they both secretly wanted to do the same. The winged boy turned to the others, or at least where he thought they were.

"We should... go," Raiquen said, remembering Kokoro's eagerness earlier. They'd just have to be sure to get their hands on the lost treasure before the human did. Raiquen figured that, together, they could probably beat him if necessary.

Thomas Nightingale

Thomas was highly amused. The little raven didn't even give him a scratch. With the little child ignoring his torch, he put it out and threw it behind him. Glancing at the other members within the little group, he agreed with the child. "Follow me. I've already navigated one passage that leads to a dead end. The path with split up about 30 feet down this passage. The one I've explored is the right one. Be wary of traps." Thomas paused for a second, contemplating something. "Kokoro should lead the way, since she is the one who has the most expertise in disarming traps. I'll be second, for I am able to light up the path for others. The child should be behind me, since he can't see as well as the others in the group. Eri should lead up the rear, since her dragon form isn't as useful in these tight spaces as they would be in other scenarios." Thomas glanced at the group. "Agreed?"

@Creekstar @Rin Nyx @Psithurism

Eri Zabelan
Eri narrowed her eyes. The treasure was no doubt the lost treasure. But she was here to aid Kokoro and the boy, not this man. Taking the lead almost at once. And of course Eri was placed at the back. This man, Thomas, whatever he was called, obviously had never been informed on dragons.

Eri itched to defend, but knew it would be wiser to wait. Thomas did not appear to be the innocent facaid he put up. 'Hes hiding something. But there is a chance it might be something good.' Then again when you hide something it most probably isn't good. A small sigh escaped her. At least Kokoro would be leading. But then she could just be a meat sheild for this man.

Her thoughts left her as she listened intently for her breath echoing ahead. The sigh that Eri had reeased move down the passage and as Thomas had claimed, split almost exactly thirty feet down.

'So not all he says are lies.' She thought again, observing those in front of her.

"I will agree to that." Eri called, but in her head added, 'but there are more things that would make it better.' brushing her sour thoughts aside, Eri listened attentivly and breathed slowly. @Psychotic Dreams @Rin Nyx @Creekstar

Arya Tinuviel

Location: Temple Ruins

With: Keir? / Near: Keir, Ireth, Vanathell, Pansa, Lyla

Arya kept her eyes on the shadow Keir as she moved. She may be restraining him, but that took a lot of energy. While she wasn't about to show him her exhaustion, she also wasn't going to trust that the trap would hold for a long time. Making her way to the real Keir, the blue haired girl carefully pulled the man out from the crack in the wall. "You have quite a dark side in you, don't you?" she muttered as she dragged him out, retreating with him so that they were at a safer distance from the shadow version of him for the time being. She set him on the ground carefully, holding his head up. "Keir, listen to me. You have to come back to me now," she spoke to him softly, a blue glow starting to appear from her hands. What he had couldn't be healed by her, but her healing magic might be able to help the man find his own way back. "Come on Keir, come on back. You have to find that darkness, embrace it again, but don't forget to hold on to your light," she spoke, hoping he could hear her. She needed him to be the one to reign in his shadow -- the shadow was right, after all. Destroying its physical embodiment would not make it disappear, only the real Keir could truly defeat this enemy.

The blood restraints wavered slightly as Arya attempted to bring Keir back. She was using up the last of her energy. If Keir didn't pull through now, they were both going to be dead. "Keir, you can do this! Wake up!" she instructed louder as her vision went fuzzy. She glanced over at the shadow Keir. This was it. Either them, or it. Releasing her hold on the shadow in order to put the last bit of energy into Keir, Arya muttered out one last call for the man to come back, then crumpled down, falling on top of him as the blue glow faded out. She had used up all of the energy she could, she was out cold now.

Kokoro Himura

Location: Desert Tomb

With: Raiquen, Eri, Thomas

"Don't be rude," Kokoro chastised Raiquen as she accepted the torch from Thomas. She reminded herself that she really needed to stop comparing the man to her brother -- he really wasn't a kid. She turned and grabbed onto Raiquen's hand, prepared to glare at the ravens if they tried to defend him from her for some reason. Placing the torch that she had grabbed into the boy's hand (she didn't want him to refuse this one), "Would you please hold this for me?" she requested with a friendly tone and a smile. She then released his hand and turned back around. He could drop the torch, sure, but that would really only be hurting his own vision. At least this way he wouldn't be forced to accept the light from the man, per say. Speaking of, she turned towards Thomas. "Don't call him a child. He's certainly older than you," she responded, surprisingly coldly. She actually had no idea of the man's age, but he looked younger than her, and she was younger than Raiquen. As for her cold words, perhaps the resemblance of the winged boy to her brother had made her a bit protective of him, despite having just met him.

At hearing the dragon's words that agreed with Thomas's plan, Kokoro returned to her cheerful tone. She looked at the others. "I'm fine with that formation, too. Let's head out," she smiled, eager to get going. Tucking her staff into the sash around her waist, the girl jumped to the front of the group, changing into her tiger form mid-jump and landing on all fours. Turning her head back to glance at the group with her bright blue eyes, the large tiger then looked forward again and began to move down the hall, being careful to watch for any traps -- especially any that the sleeping boy might have trouble navigating.

Thomas looked at the group curiously. Then grinned. It seemed as though they weren't the normal rabble he usually dealt with, and this reason alone led him to trust them a little more with his secrets. "I'll be honest. As most of you probably have deduced, I am looking for the Lost Treasure. However, I'm willing to let you use the three wishes, if I can wield the weapon a bit to improve my magic capibilities." Thomas paused in his speech. "I'm all ears Eri to any suggestions. I only lied and presented this facade to deter the usual rabble of people. However..." Thomas grinned once again. "You lot aren't very normal now are you?"

@Creekstar @Rin Nyx @Psithurism

Eri Zabelan
Eri frowned, she didn't like what Thomas had just revealed. "So. You mean to tell me that after they get their wishes, you plan to steal the artifact and use it for you own good? Such as gaining more power, or selling it?" She asked with a caom tone. Yet under her skins she was boiling.

Under no circumstances was that going to happen. But wishes were acceptable. Her nagural protective layer kept her emotions from showing, but still it riled her. Breathing in deeply she reminded herself of a few things. But if he ever did get close, she would easily take him out. Already he had underestimated her, and has still not be set in his place. A smile came to her lips at the thought. Waiting patiently for his answer. @Rin Nyx @Psychotic Dreams @Creekstar

Thomas Nightingale

Thomas shook his head in a negative. "No, my magic isn't very stable. Merely holding the weapon will stabilize it, which will stabilize me as a whole. I may not look very threatening, but it can flip on a dime, depending on my mood." Thomas looked wistfully in no particular direction. "If there are wishes left over, I would use one to wish for a fa..." Thomas cut himself off. They didn't need to know that. "Anyway, you can use the weapon however you want after that. After stabilizing my magic, I just want to find someone to settle with. I can't let another accident to happen." Thomas' face darkened momentarily, and with it, all the shadows seemingly darkened, and the light flickered. Thomas regained control of his emotions and finished his little rant. "You lot won't ever have to see me again. I can just help you gain your wishes, as long as they aren't detrimental to the rest of the world. I will fight you if that's your plan."

Raiquen Nguyen

Raiquen had no clue that he had been rude. There had never been anyone in his life within memory to teach him what was rude; the scientist that had experimented on him didn't really talk to him, and the ravens certainly didn't care. "Sorry..." he apologized. He wasn't sure why he did; he usually didn't feel the need to. The chastising tone in Kokoro's voice had just sort of compelled him to do so. He was shocked when he vaguely felt something touch his hand and realized that she had grabbed it from under his cloak. A torch was put into his hand, and he tried really hard to hold it, like she asked. However, his efforts proved futile, and his arms dropped limp to his sides. "Can't... hold," Raiquen told the others, somewhat apologetically. He left it where it was on the floor and began moving into position with the ravens' help.

Upon hearing Thomas's next words, however, Raiquen immediately regretted apologizing. This pompous fool wanted to use the lost treasure as a weapon? What made him think it was one? There was no indication as such. Raiquen knew he couldn't let the treasure fall into Thomas's hands; this person seemed to have bad intentions. Also, the fact that the man could call anyone rabble lowered him even further in Raiquen's mind. As soon as he was in position behind Thomas, he promptly fell on him.
Take that, he thought savagely. For someone who looked and could act so much like a child, he was incredibly vengeful.

Thomas Nightingale

Thomas felt a weight hit his back as he was walking. Thomas instantly reacted naturally, letting his high reflexes kick in. He grabbed the weight that fell on his back and bent over. He used the natural momentum continue, and rolled the weight on his back. When the weight was in front of him, the held a dagger to the weight in case it was an enemy. It all took the time span in less than a second for it to happen. Sighing in relief when it was only the small child, he withdrew his dagger, and crouched down on the small boy's level. "Hey, are you okay? Did you happen to trip on something?" Thomas questioned in genuine worry. (No one really told Thomas that Raiquen wasn't a child. He didn't take Kokoro's word seriously) Thomas began to care for this group, for it was the closest thing he felt to a family since his parents had died 5 years ago.

Kokoro Himura

Location: Desert Tomb

With: Raiquen, Eri, Thomas

Kokoro's tail had twitched at some of the terms that Thomas was using, but she held off on judgements for now. Perhaps he had meant nothing by it. He did seem confident that he might know what the treasure was -- some sort of weapon -- but, no one really knew what it was, did they? Perhaps the boy was just overly confident. In any case, he was reassuring them that he would not try to take their wishes. The words he used were a bit cocky -- 'let' them have their wishes, as if it were his to give -- but, it seemed as if the man's heart was in the right place. At least, that was Kokoro's impression, but it was rather difficult for her to think badly of most people.

The tiger's ears twitched back at the sound of the commotion, and she stopped suddenly, twisting around with claws out in case they were being attacked. Upon seeing Thomas holding the dagger to the winged boy, the tiger's first reaction was to snarl and prepare to attack, but the man had put away his dagger and was now making sure that Raiquen was alright. Seeing that there was no longer a threat, Kokoro calmed down, her face settling as she turned and moved forwards a few steps to take care of a trip wire on the ground that she had spotted moments before the commotion had distracted her.

Raiquen Nguyen

Raiquen quickly moved away from Thomas, his attempt at attacking him thwarted. He didn't want to be anywhere near the man. He heard a note of concern in his voice, but didn't trust it for a second; even if it was genuine, it likely only stemmed from Raiquen's appearance as a helpless child. Not bothering to reply to the question asked, he began attempting once again to stand up, failing miserably. The cramped space didn't allow for him to get his huge wings into a position where he could easily push himself up, so Berhtram and Merle fluttered over and began helping. It took a few minutes, but Raiquen was once again on his feet. That human didn't hurt you, did he? Merle asked, concerned. If he did, I swear I'll tear out his -

No, he didn't hurt me, though I kind of wish he had tried. I would have loved to have a viable reason to fight him. Thinks he's so much better, saying he'll "let" us have wishes... as if he has any authority over us, the little... Raiquen trailed off, still greatly annoyed. Berhtram and Merle were both eyeing Thomas hatefully for him. Raiquen eventually decided to move over in the direction Kokoro was, narrowly avoiding pieces of rubble on his way. As he neared her, however, his foot hit something other than rubble.

Thomas Nightingale

Thomas shook his head. Poor guy, he could barely stand up. As he watched the small boy struggle to stand up properly, Thomas knew that he didn't want his help. Understanding the boy better, he viewed him in a different light. He looked behind him while the boy tried to get up with the help of his ravens. He looked at the floor as to where the boy could've tripped, but saw nothing. Thomas narrowed his eyes. Either the boy was more clumsy than he originally thought, or that fall was no accident. After thinking about it, he understood the boy much better. He was probably highly independent, and thinking about it, probably didn't like Thomas all that much. Which would explain the "Trip" the boy had. Shaking his head to focus himself, he was the boy walk forward. Warning on his lips came too late, when he sprung the tripwire Kokoro was trying to defuse. 'Oh S***' he thought, as he leapt forward, quickly pulling the boyish figure back, as arrows, 'probably poisoned' Thomas thought, shot at the spot the boy once occupied. Fortunately, Kokoro was fine, since she was kneeling when the trap had occurred. Thomas looked down at the boy in concern, before remembering what he was like. He let the boy go, and looked forwards towards Kokoro. "Are you hurt? I just want to make sure one didn't scratch you, the arrows are probably poisoned." Thomas questioned.
