"You know I can't outright kill you since we would get expelled but I wonder what would happen if it was self defence not sure if your aware but high ranking Demons can sense people's hopes and fear the things they like or are insecure about and we'll that's awful big talk for someone who gets insecure seeing others use portals and who's only friends is a stuffed toy"

"Azarath, Metrion, Xinthos"

Suddenly a stuffy appeared in front of then in flames

"Let's see how you save your friend from the fires of hell"

Celest

"Aghh!"

Celest screamed as a creepy talking follower appeared before her and whispered to the other two hoping it the thi g couldn't hear her

"I,is that thing meant to be cute look at that creepy smile and those eyes its like it's starting into my saol"

Celest shivers after staring for a little to long

Cress Everdeen

Cress squeaked when she visions of her newly made classmates. This place was now uncontrollably scary, because everywhere she went she heard or saw herself or someone she met just earlier today. Crescent was also close to meeting a mirror in her face! She didn't know where the turns ended, or started, or if everything in here was a loop.

She felt herself getting nauseous from all the deep thinking, 'Which way should I go, right or left? Is this safe...will anyone help? Someone!' and much more. She wanted to scream, cry, everything, but she feared no one would hear her pleas just like how those scientists did. She finally stopped, leaning against a mirror to just sit.

Cress wanted to sleep too. It was just all too much. Was this what the headmistress said? Or were there more treacherous things like monsters going to find her? She didn't want to fight, not in this state, and she figured anything coming at her would kill her in an instant. She didn't even realize her legs were shaking.

Why was she just so weak? She felt as if her body was getting racked with imaginary pain and confusion. Stress was filling her to the core, and even the faint dripping sound of water met her ears. She let out soft murmurs, trying to suppress all these feelings with just thoughts of space. Astronomy...moons...power-power! She shouldn't be insulting herself...she has great power in her abilities. But how was she to use them in just a maze of mirrors filled with views of creature she just seen?

The flower began to hum louder, as it did, more and more flowers popped up just like it and began to hum in unison.

As they hummed, the first flower spoke again. "We're all your friends here. No need to be scared of us. Trust in us. You can sleep save and sound knowing we are around! So why don't you slip into a silent slumber and let your senses cease to exist. So just relax, be at rest. Trust is us. Just trust in us! Shut your eyes and just trust in us!" Green looked at the other two uneasily before sniffing at the berries. "Are....are they safe to eat?"

Stuffy was the first to respond in its own defense. It had been there for the Kodoku's abduction and their work in the training room. It knew the places properties as well. It started with simply conjuring water in an attempt to put itself out, but when that failed, It simply turned the hellfire into regular fire that could be put out by the water. After which it was a simple matter to mend itself with its magics. Then, with the power of the room backing it up, it turned the boy, and the demon inhabiting him, into harmless stone.

Stuffy was kinder than Kodoku would have been, the boy was still reasonably intact, and could be turned back to flesh and demon with ease if it chose. It was the sort of warning short that Kodoku didn't give people, but it was kinder and gentler. It was fixing a problem in the short term, if not in the long term. It looked up at Kodoku and waited for it to explain.

Kodoku for its part, trusted in Stuffy to protect itself and let it handle the problem instead of making things worse. When the problem was handled it explained, "You got caught in the crossfire of someone, well potentially three someones, mouthing off. I don't know that the kid actually had a dog in the fight, but just sort of got caught in the crossfire like you. They were talking shit, I wouldn't let sleeping dogs lie. They're stone now, so I guess they can just chill like that."

Moon

Moon nodded to the two siblings with a chuckle. "Thanks, I know I can be pretty cool. What other beastborn do you know that can manifest their own beast?" She then looked to Saiotiga and gave a nod. "Sure bud, in that case I won't waste your time. Let's find somewhere to explore. We can check out the rooms later." Moon placed her hands together and made a large moon shaped circler seat. She sat in it before speaking. "Get in, Karma can carry us all like this. We'll find somewhere we can go." As she waited, Karma grabbed onto the seat.

Pozuzy

Pozuzy looked to Nekelett with annoyance but he knew he was right. He sighed before nodding. "Fine, but I'll get them back eventually." As he finished talking, he saw Piper had opened a portal leading to some sort of graveyard. Immediately Pozuzy flew in. "A graveyard? Interesting. It feels just like home!" He smiled and looked around.

Saber

Saber got himself up and stretched his wings. "Well, I suppose I should do something instead of sitting around." He flew up and flew out of the academy. Flying higher, he looked around. He saw a few interesting places he could explore, but he wanted somewhere where he wouldn't be drawn to blood. At least he had a few drops of it earlier, which was something. Looking at the Rainbow field, he saw a few people down there. From his height though, the talking creepy sunflowers just looked like normal flowers.

Looking around, he saw a castle which just screamed dangerous, recalling what Lady Red said. Instead he focused on a completely glass building. Flying closer, he could hear some interesting music.

"Eh, why not. Worth a look." He flew down and into the building. As he entered, he quickly saw that it was a mirror maze. "Oook then." He opened a portal but something was off. The momental he opened a portal, it was sucked into the mirrors. "That's.....not weird at all." Slowly he stepped out and opened anoter portal, this time pulling out a huge ball of yarn. He tried a knot around a large rock before walking back in, taking the ball with him. Now, he'd be able to find his way out if needed.

Sekhemi

Sekhemi watched as everyone was going their own ways. He huffed and shook his head. "Fuck you guys, I'm going to find myself somewhere I can call home. A Pharaoh needs a palace, though I suppose a mere castle will do if I can find one." He shot out fire from his hands and used that to start flying through the Academy until he reached the exit, then he flew into the air. Just as he had hoped, he saw a dark castle in the distance, quickly he flew towards it.

Manta

Manta watched as a portal was opened to the library. Quickly he entered it. Looking around he gave a wide smile. It was then two dragons appeared. Neptune who was taking everything in spoke up. "I got a bad feeling about this place. I don't know what it is, but as an Angelic Guardian, I can sense evil in here." He looked around as he used his Psionic abilities, flying away from Manta briefly. He went to a different floor, checking them until he reached the fifth and top floor. "Of all the floors here, this is the only one where the books are piled high like this and not on bookshelves. Does anyone else find that weird?" Looking through a few of the books he was surprised to see them blank. He kept looking through more and more but every single book he checked was blank. He flew down one floor and pulled a random book off the shelf using his Psionic magic, opening it revealed that the book was filled with text. "Why is every book on the fifth floor blank? Something's wrong here." Quickly returning to Manta, he coiled around him. Manta smiled and laughed. "Maybe they haven't been written in yet?"

Wisp

Wisp followed Manta through next. He looked around before looking at the 'Book of Life' Moving on he looked to the lockbox on the table. "As a Will O' Wisp, I can sense evil and misdeeds more acutely and whatever is in this lockbox.....it scares me." Mimi hoped on the table and stared at it before speaking. "What kind of lockbox is it and should we even open it if that's the case?" Wisp backed away slowly before looking to Rose.

Cherry Rose

Crimson looked to Kodoku when he mentioned eating Astaroth's soul with interest. "That....could work. Maybe but Astaroth kept Cherry's body alive when she was really young, because her body was too sick and weak. So if we did go through with that option, we'd definitely need a way to strenthen her body." Looking to Rose he gave a nod. "That might help with a temporary fix but I don't imagine it'll work out long term but who knows." He ignored the other demon, all he cared about was curing this curse. He'd deal with ger if it came to it. After all, the deaging was the important thing. Cherry nodded to Faith before standing up.

"Let's go and do some research then." She walked through the portal and Crimson quickly followed. Once in the library she looked around. Crimson heard what Neptune said and quickly nodded. "Definitely, this place is...off. Really off." Hearing about the fifth floor he flew up to it. "That definitely isn't normal. Maybe some sort of seal or something?" He wasn't sure but began to look at all the books closely.

That was when Mimi elongigated herself and reached the top floor. Going to one of the books, she absorbed one into her. "No, there's no magic in these books at all, none. Nothing." She spat it out before testing the other books, but they were all the same. Cherry stared at the book of life, touching it, she felt a moment of unease.

Asdreum

Despite repeated attempts to stop these two monsters form provoking each other the situation continued to escalate as he felt his skil turning to stone Asdreum let out a sigh suddenly and released a small burst of cleansing magic

"OK I've tried asking nicely but you two continue to bicker like children, Kodoku I know from your perspective Azetzal threatened you but form her perspective she was responding to your threats against her husband now that could of been the end of it but you kept proving and prodding kept runnyour mouth at every opportunity you chose to escalate the situation now Azetzal may be sealed in my body and may help me from time to time but I don't own her I can't simply order her to stop yet you keep trying to start a fight so either you learn to stop mouthing off and if we can't simply put this situation behind us and move ok then me and Axol are going to have to get involved I doubt you two candidates handle all three of us if it comes to that so Azetzal your just as bad your how old thousand or millions of years old but your squabbling like a toddler is this little spat really worth your time and energy really? You both need to grow up"

Kodoku started off defensively but quickly calmed down as it said, "I made it fairly clear I wasn't threatening her husband. She kept issuing threats. It's not like my position was unfounded, but neither is your position. I said as much to Stuffy. At least two of us were mouthing off and I was definitely one of them. I'd say I was happy to drop it, but that rings false to me because, I didn't. I kept having to get the last word. Even here, I still started by trying to get the last word. So yeah. In the interest of squashing this. I'm sorry for the offense and my part in this. Would she like the last word?"

They were right. It took two to tango and it was antagonizing her. It might feel it had every right to do so, but it wasn't achieving the results they wanted was it now? This really wasn't worth the time or energy of either of them. It could be hanging out with Wisp and Rose. Why was it wasting it's time needling a demon over something that didn't really matter?

Asdreum, Azetzal, Axol

Axol rolled his eyes at Kodokus words

"She's threatened you, you said she was bluster no bite she explained it wasn't an empty threat you again said she was all bluster and implied she was weak because she's all talk the she set your friend on fire at what point did you even try to drop it and wait point where you mot trying to get the last word I want this to be over as mush as Asdreum but everyone need to admit to the roles they played in this little scuffle admittedly I probably should of intervened earlier"

Azetzal chuckled at Axols assessment but she knew Asdreum was right this started out as a warning to leave Astaroth alone and turned into a pretty fight

"Asdreum let just go I'm sure there more interesting things to do in that library then conting this... whatever this is"

Asdreum let out a sigh of relief as things finally began to deescalate and walked though the portal as soon as they entered all three of them could feel a malicious evil intent

"Were not alone here and I'm not referring to those we came with looks like our quiet trip to the library will be a little more eventful then I expected"

Rose

Rose looked to wisp and reached out her hand she was about to try give it an awkward yet reassuring pat only to remember it was a willo wisp Rose simple put her hand back down

"It's a Blood Pact Lockbox and we should probably find out what's inside if it happens to be dangerous we can always reseal it"

"Cherry could lend me a vile of bleed to open the box"

Saiotiga,Armaros

Watched as Moon created a crystal seat simply made her wolf carry it alonge with those sitting on it Saiotiga sat down next to her

"How do force your wolf to obey you like this"

"HA do you really think this little girl can help you force me to do anything good luck with that hahaha"

Kodoku came through the portal and then allowed it to close before hunting down Wisp and asking, "So. What are we up to? Did you find something fun to read? Did you want to build little fort out of books."

This whole thing had started out as a way to hang out with Wisp and that was their plan now. The others could study and find cool locations or cures to their ills. Kodoku and Wisp could have their own kind of fun in the library. Especially if Kodoku learned about the blank books. Nobody would miss those if they started playing with them.

Nekelett

Was glad that Pozuzy seamed to agree with his advice at least for now he shouldn't cause any problems but there was no reason not to stick with him for now and a graveyard seamed like it could be am interesting place to explore Nekelett walked though the portal carious as to what he would find on tge other side

OBSIDIAN OF SHADOWS
Obsethine narrowed her eyes when more of the creepy flowers appeared, singing a chant to which sounded like they wanted the rest of them to sleep. Of course, that'd be a difficulty for her anyway with insomnia, but she supposed it did help in this situation. Were those creatures singing a ritual to put them to sleep, like some sort of fairy dust?

Obsethine glanced at Green who was possibly savoring the thought of eating berries. She nearly snorted right then and there from the stupidity of the younger one's actions. Who'd eat berries when there were dancing, big flowers around-that were utterly unusual?!

"I wouldn't if I were you..."

She muttered, though she feared he didn't hear or didn't care.

Pozuzy

Pozuzy looked around, wondering if there was anything interesting hear when he heard a woman sobbing loud. He looked around, but couldn't see anyone, the graveyard was pretty big though. "Does anybody hear that? It sounds like somebody is crying somewhere here? Weren't we the only ones who arrived on the island?" He looked around again before looking in the direction of the sobbing woman.

Sekhemi

Sekhemi reached the castle and approached the door. As he did the door opened and there stood a masked man.

"Greetings Sekhemi. I've been waiting. I figured, if nobody else, you'd come here at the very least. I'm glad you didn't disappoint." Sekhemi stepped back in surprise before speaking. "Who the fuck are you?" The man laughed before speaking. "Oh, we have a lot to talk about. Come, you won't regret it." Sekhemi stared at him as he turned around and went further inside. Slowly, Sekhemi followed. If it was a trick, he'd just kick the bastard's ass. As he walked in, the door closed.

"This is so fucking cool!" said Cerralei, gushing as she sat down.

"Language," said Andalm, climbing in as well.

Cerralei ignored him. "Do you always get around like this? 'Cuz I would if I could. Well, either this or in a robot shaped like a T. Rex. But I don't have any of those, sadly, sooo..."

Celest

Celest grew even more unsettled as more followers appeared and started to sing a song

"NO nope I'm done it was creepy enough before but now you're trying to lull us to sleep not happening"

With that Celest spread out hee wings and with one big flap sent a huge wave of fire setting all the following in the are ablaze

As the field turned ablaze, there was a roar of pain. Suddenly all the flowers transformed.

As the flowers screamed the ground shook violently, then a giant plant shot up out the ground.

Out of it's giant red flower bud, shot out a blast of water that covered the field, putting out the fire. The plants regenerated soon after, now all spoke in unison. "You damn fools! You will regret that!" Out of the gaint red bud flew out a killer wasp which immediately looked over to the group.

The wasp dug into the ground and a few moments later it shot out again followed by another giant flower.

The flower screamed loudy. At that point the skulls began to charge forward, some would try to bite the three of them, others would attempt to wrap around them and explode. The wasp shot out acidic spit towards Obsethine and Green, the giant root plant spat out seed five which quickly burred into the ground and started to grow, as it waited for them to reach full size, it flung it's head towards Green to grab him.

Green, now realising the danger quickly took flight, moving from the acidic spit and dodging the plant. "We're under attack! What are these things?"

OBSIDIAN OF SHADOWS
The second the flowers changed forms, Obsethine shot into the air with a powerful gust of dirt flying near the ground from her wing's wake. She knew these creatures were evil-something wrong with them. And the three of them were stupid enough to stick around and witness this mess.

"Stag! Really would love it if you made your appearance right now..."

She growled through her teeth, and Obsethine's familiar appeared on her shoulder with a stretched out purr. The feline was already cackling lightly, but glanced around before giving her a haughty glance.

"I see you've granted yourself the purrr-fect show! But I'm afraid you'll have to ask nicely, Obsidian of Shadows."

Obsethine glared at her familiar, soaring around and circling the flowers, skull plant, and other root flowers high in the sky. They were angered by the fire, and logically, fire always beat plants. With gritted teeth, Obsethine swooped lower, down to the wild creatures and tried to blow a patch of fire, but something aimed more acid at her and she had to swoop back up.

"If you annoying furball just made me invisible too...but that energy usage would drain you...what are the three-well, four of us going to do?!"

Celest

Suddenly the not so cute followers transformed into grotesque monsters and started attacking them

"Plants and bugs against 2 dragons and a phoenix I like our chances"

Celest flawed her wings gaining some altitude and shooting out flaming feathers at the bugs that would explode on contact powerful enough to put a hole in a mountain followed by a forward flip as she swung her tails down towards the folders fire off large flaming blades shap enough to cut then to shred and hot enough to burn them to a crisp.

Saber

Saber looked around slowly as he wandered the glass maze. He kept seeing reflections of others, Cherry, Obsethine, Sekhemi, it was strange. He felt unease in this place. Suddenly, he heard a roar somewhere in the maze.

Near Cress, a roar was heard and a few moments later, a huge glass wyrm shot out of the glass mirrors and roared again, this time in her face.

ice-worm-by-ivan-mikhalenko-v0-H9e8Iv2t16UEeIiZI_gVaPLDJmYsYTHkJLX0TUfs9ss.jpg
Made entirely of glass, the wyrm opened it's mouth wide and went to eat her. Saber moved as quickly towards the sounds until he finally found the thing.

"What the hell is that?" He focused his hands and shot an energy blast at it, though the energy just went through the wyrm's reflective skin and straight out back towards Saber. He jumped out the way and the wyrm stopped, turning to him it roared and shot into one of the mirrors again before immediately coming out towards him. He jumped out the way but was hit when glass shot out of its body, small cuts appearing across his body. He looked over to Cress and spoke. "Are you alright?"

Moon
Moon looked over at Saiotiga and just stared at him. "Force? I don't force Karma." Karma quickly spoke as she lifted everybody up. "I'm my own person asshole. I make my own choices. I'm a part of Moon anyway, I might as well be her friend." As she lifted everybody up, Moon closed the seat, turning it into a spherical seat with a window so they could see where they were going. Karma carried then to an opening then jumped out. She grabbed onto a large tree mid jump and looked around. "Where are we going?" Moon looked to the flower field and shook her head, that didn't really run with her honestly. Looking over to the graveyard tempted her. Then she saw the castle and glass tower.

"Well, my vote is either the graveyard, spooky castle or that glass tower. Where does everyone want to go?" She looked at them all, waiting for them to decide.

Cherry

Cherry was still focused on the Book of Life when Rose caller her over. She looked to the box before drawing her scythe. "Hmm.. alright I guess." Cherry made a small cut on her palm then let a few droplets of blood drip onto the box. After about the vial of blood, the lockbox activated. The blood covered every crack and nanny of the box. Finally, it opened and inside was just a single book.

the_alchemist_s_black_grimoire_by_millecuirs_dc77g9l-fullview.jpg

After a few seconds it flew out and looked around before speaking. "Well well well, what a interesting group we have! Hey, any of you interested in unlimited, infinite knowledge? Is that why you opened the box? Because I can grant you literal infinite magic. All ya have to to is open me!" Cherry stood back and Crimson flew back down. He looked to the warning on the chalkboard before speaking. "So uuh, anyone else think the warning is about this book?

The book laughed before speaking. "Oh, THAT! You think that's about ME? Nah. The guy relied too much on the Book of Life. Anything you write in it, becomes reality. So the warning is not about me." the book's eye looked around before laughing again.

Kodoku might not have been particularly well informed, but they did have enough information to form a plan of action. There was a book they weren't supposed to trust and two obvious candidates for which books those might be. While they didn't mind if folks wanted to investigate those things later, and understood the draw of a book that changed reality or granted infinite power, they had a whole library they could look through before they began playing with the two obvious bits of schmuck bait. They obviously hadn't proven to have the self restraint to avoid the schmuck bait that was the box, so to avoid them ruining a perfectly good outing before its time, Kodoku opened a portal to a nice safe padded room in a far off location and allowed the new book and book of life to fall into it before closing the portal again.

It wasn't looking to damage the books or steal them for itself, merely to avoid the two books getting in the way of folks actually getting to enjoy the visit to the library. They couldn't understand why the folks who had recommended caution when it came to eating souls didn't suggest the same caution in opening weird boxes and messing with strange books, but that seemed immaterial for the moment. The library was useful without those two books, and if those two were really needed, they could be retrieved with ease. It just seemed silly to jump to those two books before the others.

Wisp

Wisp turned to Kodoku with a shy smile. "Sure, I'd love to. Maybe we can use the blank books? They seem useless anyway." Just as he began to float up, a talking book floated out of the box. He stopped and whispered to Kodoku. "I think its lying..... I sense..... really evil magic in that book." He looked at it and Mimi quickly jumped down, landing on the ground floor with a plop. "Book of life? Anything to reality? Cool! I might just absorb that!!" She was half joking but she had to admit, the temptation was there though that temptation was gone when Kodoku dropped them in a portal. "Why!? I could have stored them both in myself! Especially the Book of Life!"

 Manta

Manta turned to the talking book and Neptune hissed at it. Neptune was the first to speak up. "I don't trust this thing one moment. Manta, don't you even think about touching that foul book. I can practically taste the malice it is so strong." Manta gave a small nod and spoke through telepathy. "OK, I wasn't thinking of touching it anyway. It gives me the creeps with that eye." Manta floated away from it, not saying anything else.

Moments later, a portal opened up and the talking book returned.

"Rude! This is my home and you try to kick me out? Why'd you do that? Got a problem with talking books?" The book laughed before spinning around in a little dance.

Kodoku looked at Mimi as it followed Wisp away saying, "Sorry, it's safe if you want to store it after the others have looked at it. Sharing is the key word for today. We have usufruct, not jus abutendi unless we want to start a little war in the library."

Once they arrived it began gathering books for their fort as well. When Wisp brought up their concerns with the book Kodoku looked at them with concern and said, "I don't question your senses on such things. It may well be lying. I would hope that the others know better than to just blindly play around with it, but it's not like they don't have resources. There are many creatures far older than I that can give advice on such things back at the school. The problem comes down to the fact that they are here to study and that book is of interest to them. Much as I told Mimi, I don't think that the others will recognize jus abutendi for us as opposed to them."

It wasn't a great position to be in, but it seemed the most likely way that their day would continue. Much like wasting time throwing verbal barbs at the demon, getting involved in an argument over a book it had no interest in seemed like a waste of time. They weren't looking to make that mistake twice quite so quickly. They were here to have fun with Wisp and had no dog in that fight. It would be stupid to suddenly drag itself into it beyond minor efforts to ensure it didn't affect their plans.
