Fantasy The Lost Treasure of Creation

Ireth gasped as she felt pain in her back and turned behind her only to see Keir. She looked at him carefully a bit unsure but she didn't have long to think about it as the hand was still attacking her. The elf then felt herself be pulled away and she looked only to see Pansa grabbing her and Arya. She saw the smoke and backed away from it. "Keir look out." she warned unknowingly what he was. She looked passed them and then noticed a doorway. "come on." she said helping Arya up as the hands began to be destroyed in the acidic smoke she headed towards the small hallway. She paused however seeing the dim light of fire in the room. "Perhaps it isn't a good idea." she whispered her hand gripping her dagger tightly.

Keir Sullivan?

The shadow bore Ireth's scrutiny as she turned to look at it, waiting to make an excuse, but found that it didn't have to. The elf was then pulled away from it by Pansa. After deftly dodging the smoke bomb dropped suspiciously near to it, the shadow rejoined the group. It seemed to be the only one that noticed the blood trickling down the elf's back from where it had stabbed her, dampening her clothes slightly. She didn't even appear to realize that the shadow had caused the injury, which probably looked like the work of one of the hands.

The shadow was greatly amused when Ireth chose to lead the group through the doorway; she seemed almost eager to hurry to her demise. After pausing to watch the hands melt in the smoke, the shadow took its place walking slightly behind the elf, prepared to urge her to continue if necessary. When she stopped, though, it changed its mind and said nothing. It knew it would likely sound strangely eager. It doubted that its voice could conceal the fact that it couldn't wait to tear all of them apart, bit by bit. It was anticipating watching them suffer.

((Wait... So if the shadow is the dark side that exists in the person... I think Keir might want to get that checked out. His shadow's pretty sadistic ^^"))

Ireth used this chance of the light to get a better look at everyone. She took in a deep breath and grimaced still from the pain in her back. She reached back and felt blood. She tensed and shook her head looked at Arya and Pansa to make sure both were okay. Her attention then focused on Keir. He was oddly different and she was going to find out why. She learned not to trust anyone after that fateful day and these here would be no different. "Something has to be in there for fire to be lit... I don't think it is wise we go through." She said looking at them "let's find another way out.." she said before focusing her attention on Keir.

The elf closed her eyes and focused her mind away from the pain and fear inside of her and drew her attention onto Keir. She was going to attempt to read him, something about him she didn't trust and she was going to figure out why.

Raiquen Nguyen

After Merle had told him which way the tomb entrance was and nudged him towards it, he began heading over to join Kokoro. No! Don't put your foot - be careful! Not there either! A little to your left... No! Too far! Merle coached him as he picked his way through the rubble. Berhtram proved himself completely useless, perching on one of the pieces of the boulder and beginning to laugh again. Shut it... Merle grumbled at the raven before continuing to tell Raiquen where and where not to put his feet. No! Not there! I just told you not - Raiquen ended up face first in the sand again. This time he immediately realized that he had fallen, as his shoulder had hit a piece of rubble on the way down, and unfurled his huge wings to try to push himself upright. He was in a better position to do so than last time. He was successful, and ended up deciding just to clumsily flutter the rest of the way to the entrance.

How does it look inside? Raiquen asked. Is it dark? Are there traps? How wide is it? He hoped to get at least a bit of an idea of what area he was headed into. If it was dark, that could be a problem; Berhtram and Merle would be unable to see, too. The two ravens walked over to look inside before giving their report.

It's really dark in there. I can't see anything. Berhtram noted, a hint of annoyance in his voice. He had been excited to see the tomb. Seems like the tiger lady just checked for traps at the entrance, though. She's moved inside. As for the size of the area I can see? There's no way you can fly in there with your massive wingspan. You're gonna have to walk. This could be problematic. It was one thing to fall over in the sand, but on a hard floor with potentially jagged rubble strewn across it? That could do some damage. Trying to think up some sort of a solution, Raiquen stumbled into the tomb.

Eri Zabelan

Eri nodded, despite the fact that the endiku identified as Kokoro could not see her. Slowly making her way behind Kokoro and the strange raven boy, Eri studied the parts of the tomb she could see so far.

Ancient yet magestic, the tomb gave Eri a warm feeling. Reminding her of her own home. The dragon made sure to follow precisly behind the other two. Knowing that there might be some traps that would be easier for the younger Endiku's to sense.

Her quarter staff made small taps on the ground as she walked. Other than that her footsteps were to light to be heard. Only her robes making the smallest noise as to her presence behind the wooden staff.

Noticing the Raven Boy stumble, Eri frowned, and had a kneejerk reaction to lead him. But thought better of it.

Stiffly fighting her maternal instinct to wlak along side any needy creature. But the two ravens that accompanied him seemed to be of enough help for now. But if he ever does need my help, and the girl for that matter. Eri made a silent compact with herself to gaurd and watch the two she fell in on, during this adventure. They seemed pure of heart. She also noted with a smile. @Rin Nyx @Creekstar

The girl let out a small sigh of relief as she was pulled out of harms way by Pansa. Taking a small moment to catch her breath before Ireth helped her to her feet, Arya followed the pair towards the hallway. Why is it light? she thought briefly, just as Ireth was questioning if entering was a good idea. She was about to speak up against the idea, when she realized that Keir was with the group too, now. Not saying anything, she inspected the man with her blood-red eyes. Maybe she had been mistaken about the aura before...no, it was still the darker, murkier colors that she had seen. Peoples' auras don't just change so drastically and so suddenly...at least, not in her experience.

Ireth was speaking again about finding another way out, but Arya was focused on the man next to her. I wonder...if I'm wrong, this is going to look really bad on me, but...that can't be Keir, not with that aura...can it? Making up her mind, the blue haired girl suddenly gripped her scythe tighter, lifting it and spinning it around in a swift motion so that the butt end was facing towards Keir, then brought it down in a hard, thrusting motion, aiming for the ribs that she had only mostly healed earlier, knowing that they would still be weak and easily broken if it was the real Keir.

Keir Sullivan

Shit, the shadow thought as the butt end of Arya's scythe sped towards it. She was trying to see if its ribs broke, wasn't she? That was some friend Keir had. If it was Keir, it would have been in for some serious pain. With the heightened reaction of a shadow, it was able to dodge away from the scythe. "What the heck? Arya, that could have hurt a lot! You know my ribs were only just broken! Why would you attack me? I thought we were allies," It said, an almost accusatory tone in its voice. Maybe it could turn the others against Arya. She had made the mistake of attacking first.

The shadow backed away from Arya, trying to look hurt and betrayed. In the process, it made sure that the direction it retreated in was towards the brightened room. If need be, it could pretend to feel threatened by Arya and run into the room. The shadow was so close... Why couldn't the dark elf just move her lazy ass out there? They weren't far from the room, and were pretty much trapped in this corridor anyways. He wished she would attack soon; keeping up this charade was becoming annoying.

Ireth watched the two and was distracted by the sudden outburst. She determined that for now she needed to trust the allies she had. After all how could it not be Keir. "We can't be fighting each other." She told them and started to walk down the corridor she moved pass Keir and into the room.

The elf looked at the decorated room and was surprised how elaborate it was. She wondered if the treasure she sought was hidden somewhere in there. She tensed however feeling that dark aura as she did before. She looked around carefully to make sure they were safe.

Lyla smiled hearing the commotion just outside of the room and when she heard them com further in she threw her cloak up and moved back in the shadows. She wakes until all the group was inside before blocking the exit like the first door.

There she was her traitor from so long ago. She looked down rather sad that things had to be this way.

Keir Sullivan?

The shadow was ecstatic when Ireth walked past it into the room. I can't believe she's so stupid! It thought, following behind her. Turning to check that the others were coming, it entered. The shadow moved off to the side upon walking in, pretending to interested in a few gold coins scattered on the floor, as Keir would be. However, it inconspicuously gripped Keir's knife in hand, preparing to attack the others.

The twisted shadow grinned sadistically, it's back still turned to the others. Just a little longer. As soon as Layla appeared and blocked the exit, it would be able to strike. The wooden handle of the knife seemed to grow hot in its hand. Suddenly, black hands formed in the doorway, blocking it in the same way as the one in the other room. The shadow stood up from its crouching position on the floor. Beginning to laugh menacingly, it spun and leaped at the nearest person: Arya.

Kokoro's ears twitched as she heard the sound of Raiquen falling again outside the tomb. This time he managed to get up rather quickly, but this still worried the tigress. "You're going to set off traps if you keep on like that," she warned with a frown. She looked around, trying to find a way to make this work. Maybe if she carried the kid? Only, he wasn't actually a kid, and he was a stranger to boot, that would probably make things awkward. Besides, she needed to be able to react to anything they might encounter in the tombs. Maybe if he rode on her back as a tiger, though? That would give her a little more room to fight and react without accidentally dropping him, and would probably be less awkward for the two of them.

With a sudden start, Kokoro realized something. "Oh! Can you two see in here? I forget sometimes that others can't see in the dark," she addressed both Eri and Raiquen. "Maybe we should grab some sticks from the neighboring woods and use them to light a fire?" she suggested, remembering that the desert gave way to the start of some woods outside.

Arya frowned, returning her scythe to her side. She was doubting herself for a moment, Maybe this is Keir and something else is making his aura look strange... she reasoned as the man accused her. Still, it didn't seem right...she kept her eyes on the man as they walked into the next room. He looked...happy, when they entered the room. "I think we should turn back," Arya started as she followed, but as soon as her foot had left the entrance and stepped into the room, the entrance was blocked off, trapping them inside. Damn, I knew something was off! Silently cursing, she glared at Keir. This was enough to confirm it for her now. This definitely wasn't Keir, and they had just walked into a trap. Blood boiled up around her in anger, and Arya was about to speak when the man turned and leaped at her. Definitely not Keir, she thought as she stepped into the attack, bringing one armored arm up to try to block the blow and, making the blood on the ground hold her scythe up so that she could release the weapon, curling her left hand into a fist and winding her arm back, preparing to punch the fake Keir in the face. I'm still weak from earlier, but I can still pack a punch! she thought to herself, though the exertion was hard on her body. She had to be careful -- if she exerted too much energy now, after all of the healing that she had done, she was likely to pass out, and just holding her scythe in an upright position with the liquid that followed her was much more of an energy drain than usual in her weakened state.

Keir Sullivan?

Still recovering from its blocked attack, the shadow took Arya's punch full in the face. The blow sent it stumbling backwards, but hardly damaged its tough body. "Wow, Arya, this entire time, I had thought that you were incredibly strong. I mean, look at that huge scythe and your complete control over liquid! It's really a shame that you've proven me wrong," the shadow taunted. It hoped to make her angry so that she would drop her guard, as it knew that it would be hard to penetrate it. Looking for a different approach than launching itself at her, the shadow circled her, talking again. "When I asked for your assistance at the entrance earlier, I thought you'd actually be useful. Seems I was wrong; you're weak right now. You can't even help me in my moment of need." The shadow paused, somewhat startled. Where had that last sentence come from? It didn't need any help right now. Was part of the original Keir speaking through it? A little disgruntled, it continued. "Your face shows that you doubt me, but rest assured. I am the real Keir. Everyone has a little darkness in their hearts; you just haven't seen the real me," it told her. Hoping its words had loosened her defense a little, the shadow once again brought its knife around towards Arya.

Mavdrus stared down Geir as he walked away. He wanted to be stubbonmr and deny to ever work with that buffoon but he turned and looked at Leandor who saw right through him "Lets just cooperate for now no matter how disgusted you are of these people, they are good to have as allies...so i advise you try to just be cordial please my prince." Leandor said with sincerity hoping the prince understood. Mav sighed then patted Leandor chest "WHatever you say buddy." Mav said turning to get in the formation holding his head up in the opposite direction of Geir not giving him the satisfaction to see that he had gave in fully. Leandor chuckled and nodded to Eihro, "Sounds like a good plan, ill gladly take up the rear. "

Ireth looked at Kier slightly confused as laughed. She was surprised to see him attack Arya and pulled up her dagger ready to help but someone caught her eye in the shadows and she froze "no." She whispered

Lyla had stepped out her cloak was off and the dark elf stood there. "Well, I've waited long to take my vengeance on you, Ireth. Never would I have guessed you would come to me." She smirked circling the elf. "You betrayed me." She whispered

"You gave me no choice!" Ireth spat watching as Lyla circled her. She was shaking now she had thought her to be dead. "You died in my arms." She whispered

Lyla shrugged "we all have secrets." Was her answer. "But you won't survive, Ireth. I won't let you live to see another day." She said cooly. She was going to be calm in her actions she wanted the elf to suffer and she would be patient about it.

Arya kept her eyes on what was supposedly Keir as he circled around her, turning with him to make sure that he was never in a blind spot. The man's insults about her strength hardly phased her -- she was used to people insulting her, as she had dealt with it all of her life. She was even used to being on guard around allies, as she had been attacked by her supposed friends too many times to count, on account of her being a hybrid. However, even in those times when her supposed allies attacked her previously, their auras did not change the way Keir's had. Something this supposed Keir said did get to her, though. 'You can't even help me in my moment of need.' Why would the Keir standing before her need help now? He had barely reacted to her punch, and he seemed strong and healthy enough. No, this Keir didn't need help, but maybe...

Arya was snapped out of her thoughts by the man's second attack. The blue-haired girl jumped back away from the knife, but she didn't quite move fast enough, as the blade sliced her left side, cutting through the fabric of the girl's dress. Feeling the hot sting of blood at her side start to pull away to join the blood at her feet, Arya moved her hand to cover the wound, putting pressure on it to slow the bleeding. It wasn't too deep, but in her already weakened state, the girl needed to minimize the amount of blood she lost. Another person had joined them, another elf who was talking to Ireth, but Arya couldn't afford to lose her focus on Keir right now. "I've seen the darkness in Keir," she responded to this Keir's comments, "I've also seen his light. I have seen the real Keir, and you definitely aren't him." Dropping her hand from the cut on her side and reaching out to grab her scythe from its upright position near her, Arya gripped the weapon's handle and prepared to fight. She had to get this out of the way quickly, or else she wouldn't be able to save the real Keir. Bringing her large scythe back, "Where is Keir?" the girl questioned before bringing her scythe around in a sweeping motion, the blade glinting as it traveled towards the man.

Keir Sullivan?

The shadow's eyes inadvertently darted over to the place Keir was hidden when Arya asked where he was. It would be impossible for anyone but the blue haired girl to see this quick action, but there was a good chance that she had noticed. Cursing, it dodged her scythe and, with a flick of its hand, encircled them in shadows. The two of them became isolated from the rest of the group by an impenetrable circular barrier. Unfortunately, the crack in the wall hiding Keir was also within its area. Moving in front of said crack, the shadow began speaking again. "Okay, you got me," it told Arya, spreading its arms wide, "so maybe I'm not the original Keir in his entirety. I am but a shadow, a manifestation of his hidden, darker self, whether he knows I exist or not. Soon, though, I will be the only Keir. The poor, weak thing is probably dying as we speak, not able to withstand having me drawn away from him." The shadow began laughing again, and its black irises, previously so much like Keir's, acquired red circles around them. Shadows began streaming off of its body. Looking much more like the monster it was now, it discarded Keir's knife, which would be ineffective against a scythe, and prepared to use its shadow powers to its advantage, trying to stop Arya from reaching Keir.

As the fake Keir glanced to the side, Arya followed the quick movement to the crack in the wall. That must be where he is, she thought as the fake Keir dodged her attack. Suddenly, the two of them were sectioned off from the rest of the group by some sort of shadow barrier, but at least the crack in the wall was in the barrier with them. The shadow Keir moved in front of the crack, and it was clear that Arya was not going to get to the real Keir without a fight. '...is probably dying as we speak...' Those words worried Arya. She didn't have enough energy to have a fight dragged out, but she couldn't afford to lose here. If she lost, that meant Keir would...

Arya cleared her mind, focusing on the task at hand. Now was not the time to get emotional. She was beyond worried, but she had to fight now. Realizing that she was likely not going to be able to win against this enemy if she held back now, the girl prepared herself. She was going to go all out. There was no way that she could do this and remain conscious for long, but all she needed was a few minutes at full strength to rescue Keir. Once he was safe, she could pass out. Ireth and Pansa would have to handle any other enemies, such as the elf that had appeared.

Knowing that time was running out, Arya lifted her right hand, blood lifting around her in response. Pulling her arm back, then pushing forward in a punching motion, globs of blood went flying at the shadow Keir, while Arya made her first attempt at lunging to the side, using her scythe to try to force the shadow Keir to dodge out of her way. She was trying to get behind the fake Keir and to the real one, but she had no idea what kinds of attacks the shadow version of Keir might have in store for her.

Keir Sullivan?

The shadow thought fast as the two attacks sped towards it, trying to figure out how best to stop them. Arya's plan was obvious; she would want to get to Keir given the information she had received about his status. The predictability of her plan didn't make it any easier to deal with, however. Still somewhat new to its powers, the shadow experimented with their limits. It created another, smaller wall in front of it to block the bullets of blood. It could hear them pound against the other side. Such a technique wouldn't be useful in blocking the scythe, though, as its sweeping motion couldn't easily be stopped by a wall. Determined not to leave its spot unguarded, it decided to try to catch the scythe.

Stepping in close, the shadow's hands reached out to grasp the scythe's handle. It was a risky move, but it paid off. The shadow was still between the girl and Keir. Tightening its grip on the scythe, it tried to wrest it from Arya's hands. Even though the shadow was stronger than Keir, it quickly realized that its strength still wasn't great enough to match Arya's. Jumping back towards the crack in the wall again, it began forming a sort of whip with its powers, knowing that it would need a weapon with plenty of range if it were to beat Arya. This whip, made of darkness and shadow, was as sharp as a sword, and could easily cut the blue haired girl if it made contact. Bringing it whizzing through the air, the shadow went back on the offensive.

Ireth could hear the commotion and looked to the black orb in the corner "what did you do to Kier, Lyla?" she asked coldly.

Lyla grinned "I freed him." she answered and looked to Pansa "you are bothersome" she muttered and snapped her fingers she could tell he didn't like the hands and made sure there would be plenty of them to have a go at him. "that will keep you occupied." she said and put all of her attention on Ireth. "I assume you were looking for the treasure... I suppose you were going to use it to try and rid yourself of the guilt?" She mocked bitterly. "You were like a sister to me..." she whispered and looked down "Tell me were you happy to kill me?" she asked.

Ireth shook her head "I died with you that day. It wasn't my fault you gave me no choice to kill you. I did my job." she said and held up her dagger with cold glare "I would do it again, Lyla, in the name of El Kishon I would kill you again to protect her." She said plainly. As much as it hurt her Lyla was dark and evil. Ireth was given a job and she would see it through, seeing how she didn't complete her mission she would take this chance and do so now.

"El Kishon..." Lyla spat in disgust "don't even get me started about that liar." she hissed and pulled out her shard of a weapon. "I'm much more stronger than you, dear sister. Plus, I'm expecting your attack" She said still circling the elf daring her to strike first.

Her first attempt at getting to the real Keir thwarted, Arya retreated a little ways while she thought of a different plan. So the direct approach isn't going to work, she thought, jumping out of the way of the shadow whip. She winced briefly as the cut on her side stung at the sudden movement, but she quickly covered the expression with a neutral one again. Fine, let's try this, she decided. Her right arm moved up, sending blobs of blood flying into the air, then, as she moved her arm down swiftly, the blood began to rain down on the shadow Keir, mimicking her 'blood rain' attack that she had used on the creature early on in the temple. This was mostly a distraction, though, as blood trailed along the ground towards the crack where the real Keir was stored, attempting to sneak past the shadow Keir while he was dealing with the blood rain. Arya would have followed up with an attack with her scythe, as well, but she was already breathing heavily, and took the chance to catch her breath instead, knowing that she would need it to dodge the next thing that the shadow Keir threw her way. Besides, she was attempting to build up her energy for something special, something that had to do with the blood that was sneaking past the shadow Keir, and any of the blood from the rain that fell to the ground to join it.

Thomas Nightingale

Thomas crouched next to a pillar inside the tomb he was in. Thankfully, he was able to get that large boulder into place. It'd keep out some unwanted company searching for treasure. He stealthily made his way past several traps, before coming across a large room, with the floor caved in. Shaking his head in disappointment, he made his way back to the beginning of the tomb, where it split off into 3 routes after 30 ft into the tunnel. As he made his way back, he noticed light coming through the tunnel. 'Wait a minute, I had closed off the entrance. There shouldn't be any light coming in! Did someone manage to dislodge the boulder?' As he crept closer, he noticed a group of three. A female, what appeared to be a Enkidu of some kind, most likely a feline one at that. The next person he noticed was a small kid, with huge raven wings coming out of his back. He had two little raven companions with him. However, he didn't seem all that right in the head, almost as if he was in a trance. 'There's some magic going on with that one for sure!'. The last person in the trio, was another female, who looked quite normal. However, he could tell something was off with her. Call it intuition, or perhaps his magic was subliminally telling him that she was something else. She didn't look like an elf, or an Enkidu. He deduced that the third person was probably a Dragon. What element, he didn't know. Leaning against a nearby pillar, he spoke up, most likely startling the group. "Can I help you?"

Pansa paled as he saw a mass of hands come at him. He jumped back and began spamming caustic smoke bomb after smoke bomb around himself in a circle to give himself a barrier of sorts. Kokoro Himura

Location: Desert Tomb

With: Raiquen, Eri, Thomas

Kokoro's ears twisted back towards the tomb, picking up some sort of sound. Footsteps? But, how did someone even enter the tomb before them? Was there another entrance? Startled, Kokoro gripped her staff, turning to face the person in the tomb who had approached. He looked young -- though not nearly as young as how Raiquen looked -- and was just a little taller than Kokoro. Compared to her other two companions, who were both rather short (especially compared to the tigress), the height was especially noticeable. She was about to address his presence, when the man spoke up first. Kokoro's head tilted to the side, and her tail swayed back and forth warily as she made sure to put herself between her two companions and this newcomer. Sure, she had only just met the people she was entering the tomb with, but she was the only one of the three, as far as she knew, who could actually see clearly in the darkness, making the other two vulnerable. Since this man had been in the tomb standing in the dark, the tigress assumed that he, too, had some way of finding his way around in darkness, making him a little more of a threat than her two companions.

"Ah, good afternoon," Kokoro started, her polite friendliness coming through. Even though she had moved into a wary and protective position, she was still prone to think positively about the man, until she had reason to think otherwise. "I hate to trouble you, but do you possibly have a light of some sort?" she asked, giving the man a friendly smile. Well, he did ask if he could help, after all, though Kokoro suspected that the question was more of an accusation and request to know what they were doing there rather than an actual offer of help.
