Fantasy The Lost Treasure of Creation

Arya Tinuviel

Location: Temple Ruins

With: Keir, Ireth, Vanathell, Pansa

Ah, the temple. Of course he was referring to that, that makes much more sense than a lich, after all, Arya thought as the man had corrected her, mentally kicking herself for her misunderstanding as the blood around her twisted, looking almost angry in their expression of anxiety. Still, it's not like she had much to go on, as the man had covered himself quite well so that it was difficult to make out anything of his physical attributes.

Words behind her drawing her attention, the blue haired girl was glad for a brief distraction from her mistake. Behind her, Ireth was introducing her and Keir to the stranger from earlier, and mentioning to Arya that she should use some sort of salve. Blood red eyes scanning over the stranger that she had walked past with barely a glance earlier, the blue haired girl just then realized that the man had been offering her a salve of some sort. "Oh...thank you," she stated quietly, accepting the salve. She seemed to have no problem trusting it, as she immediately used some on what was left of the wound on her neck, hoping the concoction would at least form a barrier of sorts to keep her blood inside of her instead of it leaking out to join the blood that floated around her person.

Arya listened quietly as the old man explained his reasoning for the map and for wanting to accompany them, then listened as Pansa introduced himself. Then, finally, she listened as the old man introduced himself as Vanathell. During all of this, the girl remained still, leaning on her scythe and thinking over events carefully.

The ninja -- Pansa, was it? -- he should be helpful. He seems to have good enough intentions, anyways. This one, however...Vanathell...I don't know if we should trust him. But then, he is aware of his dark aura, and does not dispute it. He also offered a map, which I'm not sure we should trust, but it is something, I suppose. Still, something about him... He says he wants to team up due to not wanting to be torn apart by monsters, but his map suggests that he has gone through a decent amount of the ruins on his own already. He's likely more dangerous than he's letting on.

In either case, I'm not too thrilled to have more people poking about. They could be after the same thing as me, and that could cause problems. Still, I suppose it would be better to have them close by, where I can at least keep an eye on them.

Her mind still reeling through thoughts of what ifs and pros and cons, Arya came to a tentative decision for the time being. "It's a pleasure to meet you both," the girl finally responded to both introductions from the newcomers, trying to be polite when, in reality, she had no idea what else to say. Ireth had already introduced their names to Pansa, so the girl turned towards Van to introduce herself to him. "I am Arya, and this is Keir and Ireth," she informed the man, pointing out each respective person. Taking a glance at the others and hoping that they would be alright with her decision, Arya then stated, "We are all in these ruins together regardless of what circumstances brought us here. If you are offering the shared use of your map, it would be foolish of us to refuse your help in return for our own." The girl chose her words carefully, as if not used to speaking in such long sentences, and the words seemed almost overly formal coming from her mouth.

The girl then turned towards Pansa. "Will you be accompanying us as well?"

Ireth looked at Van up and down and shrugged she didn't like being around a lot of people, it meant more could betray her. It didn't help that there was an aura in this temple that she had felt before when she had killed her friend. It made her shudder.

Without warning Ireth pulled her dagger out again "sh..." She commanded her ears attuned to the slightest sound that wasn't coming from those she knew who were there. She quietly took a few steps ahead way from the group. Her heart pounded she could sense something there but couldn't see it. The elf suddenly screamed when a dark shadowy hand dropped from the ceiling and into her head climbing down to her face with such unexpected force shoved the elf to the ground. Ireth groaned as she hit the ground and struggled to get the giant hand covering her face off her until more hands came to join it and began to drag her.

Keir Sullivan

Keir listened to the old man's explanation, not entirely convinced. There were still many holes in his argument. To have filled in that much of the map, he would have been on his own here for quite a while and would have faced many monsters, as he had claimed. However, he seemed almost conpletely unharmed, while their group had faced injury even at their first encounter. Also, Keir suspected that someone with an aura like that couldn't be just a weak old man. He was deciding whether or not to point this out when he saw Arya look behind her. At that, he realized that they were being spoken to from behind. Ireth had introduced them to the first stranger. He gave a salve to Arya, which she quickly used. Keir was a little surprised by her immediate trust of it, but noted that the man, who introduced himself as Pansa, seemed to have good intentions, and, though somewhat shadowy in appearance, he didn't have the dark aura that had led them to distrust Vanathell.

When Arya spoke again, Keir couldn't help but disagree slightly. He was fine with Pansa's presence, but did not feel that it was a "pleasure" to meet Vanathell. He also didn't like the idea that the man would be traveling with them. His strong aura made Keir feel somewhat ill, as similarly powerful ones did, though it was bearable. He decided that he would be keeping a close eye on Vanathell. Keir was about to start moving through the temple again when Ireth quickly hushed them. His head whipped around, black eyes searching for any movement. He followed the elf as she moved away from the group, once again readying his knife and holding up his torch to see. He waited and listened. His heart pounded as he anticipated an attack.

When a large, dark hand reached down and pushed Ireth to the ground, Keir leaped forward to slash at it, dropping his torch in the process. Its brethren sprung to its aid, though, grabbing at him and throwing him against a crumbling wall. Keir felt a rib crack and winced. He lay on the ground, dazed for a moment, but was able to dodge away when the hands reached towards him again. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Ireth being dragged away and tried to get over to her, but yet more hands blocked his way. What sort of creature is this, with so many arms? He wondered. He began slicing desperately at the many limbs in his way, managing to cut off a few. It seemed that more just appeared in their place, though. He continued fighting, but was at a loss for what to do.

The sound of footsteps on gravel was all she could here right now of course they were her own footsteps she would be able to tell if they were someone or something elses footsteps being a hunter and all, She was carrying a large sack around her shoulder filled to the brim with meats and furs to sell to a giddy merchant or any passer by of course she wouldn't sell all of it, a girls gotta eat.

The smell of bread filled her nostrils as she passed a bakey her stomach growled and only then did she realise how hungry she was being on the road for so long she hardly ever actually eat as her main priority was to hunt and sell what she did kill.

"A venison sandwich doesn't seem to bad of an idea at this point." She mumbled to herslef slightly umcomftable to how hungry she currently was.

Arya still wasn't sure if she had made the right choice by accepting both of the newcomers into their current group, but she had little time to dwell on the decision, as Ireth shushed the group, apparently aware of something. Arya listened quietly, blood floating around her twisting and bubbling in wary anticipation. She didn't have to wait long before the elf girl screamed, a shadowy hand falling down and grabbing at the girl. Alarmed, Arya jumped to action, cursing under her breath as she sent blood bullets hurling towards the hand, but trying to be careful not to hit Ireth in the process. It seemed her efforts were futile, however, as more and more hands rained down from the ceiling.

Shit, I can't use my scythe here, there isn't enough room, Arya scowled as she tried her best to fend off the multitude of hands. The creatures were dragging her ally down the hall, away from the group. Blood rain is too inaccurate, I'd probably end up hitting my allies, thoughts of possible solutions ran through Arya's head as she did her best in hitting the hands with individualized blood blobs. Her individual attacks tore through the hands' flesh, but there were so many of the things, it just wasn't enough to only attack one at a time. She noticed that Keir had jumped to action right away, too, but she winced as the man was thrown against a wall. That looked painful, and was likely something that she would have to heal later. Still, Keir seemed to still be able to move and fight, so she turned her attention back towards Ireth, who wasn't so lucky at the moment.

There wasn't much time to think, as the elf girl was being dragged away. Arya ran towards the girl, using a combination of her physical strength and the blood flowing around her to throw off or attack the hands while she gained ground, trying to reach her ally. She was close, but a hand on the ground behind her grabbed her ankle, tripping her before she could reach Ireth. More hands jumped on the chance to attack her, pinning her down. The blood around her blobbed together, becoming sharp like daggers and stabbing into the hands around her, while she attempted to send more blood bullets towards the hands dragging Ireth away in a last-ditch effort of freeing her companion from the hands.

Mavndrus coughed as they entered the mine the air was unbreathable and Mav was disgusted to be in this shithole. Leandor blue eyes glowed a little in the dark due to his heightened animal senses. He could almost see clearly though the darkness still overwelmed him. On the other hand Mav was nearly blind but the darkness basically being his home he wasnt really worried. Feeling energized with the dakrness engulfing the group. Which is a good advantage over the for group just incase he needs to get rid of the others or slip away.

They soon ran into what seemed to be a goblin. Mav didnt plan to get his hands dirty on such a lowly creature. Leandor didnt paln on attacking either knowing that anyone in front on them could easily take it down or they wouldnt be looking for the treasure so they both kept there composure as the ice dragon slaughtered the monster and the group continued. The fire dragon decided to shine some ligtht in the tunnel Mav was glad to see the flames did little to brighten the cave still giving him a little advantage.

❀❀❀ Unila Crys-Feathri ❀❀❀

Unila watched pitifully as the goblin fell down the steep drop. She couldn't see the bottom, or even hear a thump as the creature fell. Her mind pondered as to how deep the drop was, and kind of wanted to test it out, but decided against it. Her companions weren't exactly all friends, so requesting something might ruin their moods. As Geir began heading down the stairs, the sudden jolts surprised her, before she got used to his rhythmic pace. Her dove side of her improved her eyesight, but that did not help her see through the impending darkness dawning on her. Within moments all she could see was the darkness, but sight wasn't the only sense available. Curiously, she decided to test out her other senses, there wasn't much else to do anyway. Playfully, she sniffed the air. A dusty scent, very different to the fresh air she smelt outside.

Suddenly, a pretty teal light brightened up the way forward. A path was glowing an aqua colour, now visible to her. Unila blinked multiple times as she adjusted to the sudden brightness, despite it still being very dark. It was comforting, being able to see. Her hand reached out to Geir's head, and ruffled his hair. A surprised look suddenly appeared on her face, his hair softer than she imagined.
"Thank you for the light Gear!" She giggled playfully. She wasn't particularly surprised by the fact that Geir was a fire dragon, his aura told her he was much more than a normal human.

Suddenly, a roar echoed though out the corridor. It was similar to a lion's yet much more menacing. Minor vibrations shook the cavern as small amounts of dust fell from above. But the main thing that surprised her, was that the sound came from behind them.

Mav and Leandor stopped hearing listening to the roar. "Leandor is that one of your friends." Mav said jokingly as he started to turn around. Leandor chuckled "Im afraid not my prince or it wouldve sensed my presence and avoided this mine, " He said turning around them both now facing the behind them as two brown catlike eyes pierced the darkness. At first sight the animal resembled a lion, mane and all but as it emerged the distortion of its grotesque face and spikes that lined it back made it clear it wasnt a lion. The beast was bigger then an average lion. Leandor wondered why it had wondered into this mine or had it been there the whole time and just been hiding in the shadow. "Ugghh..." Mavndrus said highly disgusted. "Why must these stupid monsters keep popping up, this is a mine for goodness sake. Leandor please if you will handle the beast, quickly if you can i rather not spend to much time in this mine with these..." He paused as he looked back at the others. "...commoners." he said holding back what he rally wanted to say.

"Of course my prince." Leandor said stepping forward he was deciding if the beast was worth changing forms or even using his sword. The beast gave him little time as it charged forward and jump showing its massive teeth. Leandor quickly sidestep letting it fly pass, as it did he quickly grabbed its tail and swung it against the wall. Dust flew off making Mavndrus cough, "Leandor be more careful, i can hardly breathe." Leandor nodded and was about to turn but the beast seem to be more durable then he thought and it immediatly pounce. Its claw had barely missed Leandors arm, out of reflex he drew his sword from his back bringing it over his right shoulder grabbing the beast mane with his left hand. Leandors extraordinary strength allowed him to yank the beast back into the wall it had previously hit then spinning around stabbing the beast clean through its neck very graceful swinging the huge sword getting the sword stuck in the wall along with the beats. Its body hung against the wall limp and no sign of getting back up. Mavndrus clapped sarcastically and said "Such a show off, now lets keep moving shall we." Leandor placed his sword on his back and moved back next to the prince.

Auluua took a bite out of her venison sandwich she had just put together it was a bit dry but it would have to do for now. She had set up a tent just outside of the little mining town next to the mine itself she intended to hunt in the forest area that was around one side of the town before she heard the most hostile roar come from the mine which shook the tent she was in making it collapse on her then a slam most likely whatever created the roar and then another slam.

"My lord what is going on in there?" She questioned to herself as she was putting the tent back up.

One more slam shook the entire area she was in resulting in multiple cracks to appear in the floor unluckily for her she had to be standing on the biggest crack which opened up revealing the mineshaft underneath her and when there happens to be thin air underneath yourself you tend to fall until you hit solid ground.

"Shit" She cursed as she fell down into the shaft the drop was a good fifteen feet below her so no chance of being able to jump out of the mine when she landed.

Hitting the floor knocked her unconcious no signs of when she would actually wake up but hopefully it would be soon.

"Why you little," Geir growled at the elf's comment about being stuck in the mines with commoners like him and the others. The dragon restrained himself, though, remembering that Unila was on his back. Giving the dark elf a glare and mentally promising himself that he'd eat the damn prince when he got out of the mines and there was enough room to change into his dragon form (this promise was at least partially sarcastic), Geir then turned his attention to Leandor and watched as the enkidu behind them took care of the new threat, not overly concerned. He had taken the position that would be the most convenient for him, after all, leaving those in the front and in the back to take care of the majority of inconvenient threats. Not that they were much of a threat, as the newest monster had been put down easily enough. Something about the creature seemed strange, though, and Geir walked closer to its lifeless body to investigate. ...Interesting, he thought, inspecting the beast. He kept his finding to himself for the moment, not sure what it meant, and not really in a good enough mood to talk, anyway. He returned to his position within the group, absent-mindlessly reaching down hoisting Unlia up to a slightly more comfortable position on his back.

Even though the position was more inconvenient to him, Geir pushed ahead in front of Eirhodeign, wanting to put some distance between himself and the elf in the back before he snapped at set the man on fire. "Let's get going," he stated simply, leading the way down the mine, the mine shaft illuminated by his aqua flames. A small wooden sound came from just ahead of them, and it looked like a large (though not as large as the previous beast), grotesque creature was shambling down the mine towards them, sword glinting in its mangled hand. Geir barely gave it a second glance as the creature was suddenly enveloped in teal flames and burnt down to ashes, not even having the chance to get close to the group. The teal-haired man figured that it was, at least, something to take his anger out on, though it wasn't nearly enough. Walking ahead without really checking to see if the group was following, the man rounded a corner, only to see that this mine shaft was lit up more than the others. Looking up, he saw that the ceiling of the mine had collapsed here, and sunlight was shining through to the floor. Looking down, there was something laying in the rubble on the ground. "Do you see that?" he asked the girl on his back, slowly walking towards it.

❀❀❀ Unila Crys-Feathri ❀❀❀

Once again, a pitiful expression was on her face as the beast behind them was subdued. Unila didn't want to turn around, as that strained her neck a little, and she was a bit sleepy. Suddenly, she was flung into the air, but immediately forced back down by gravity. Her position on Geir's back was slightly more uncomfortable, but she could see forward a lot better. Without even time to recover, Geir began walking a lot faster, forcing Unila to jerk back in surprise. He burnt the creature that had appeared, within only a matter of moments, as he continued his fast pace. Unila was no longer sleepy with the active adventure Geir was bringing her on. Her eyes were still wide in surprise, staring forward as her hair was taken by the air currents. When Geir suddenly slowed back down, she exhaled slowly, regaining her composure after the sudden event. "Gear, I love exciting rides and all, but now wasn't exactly the right time-" As Unila looked forward, what caught her eye halted her teasing speech completely.

A blond elf, appearing magical in the bright sunlight above, was unconscious on top of a pile of rubble. Examining the area closer, she realized that an earthquake of some magnitude broke the mine shaft here, forcing her to fall down. Without any warning, Unila hopped down Geir's back and rushed over. She pushed aside the few rocks burying her, and took her hand.
Phew, she has a pulse. A sigh of relief escaped her, as a small relieved smile grew on her face. However, as her bright eyes examined the bruises caused by the fall, she returned to her neutral expression. She rolled up the sleeves of her teal dress, despite how short they were already, and focused her mind.

A light, pure white in it's appearance, filled her entire consciousness. She reached out for it, eager to accept it as her own. Calmly, the light began swirling around her. Heightening her powers. However, on her outer appearance, the faint vision of white wings appeared on her back. Her body glowed a white light, as her eyes remained shut in concentration. Suddenly and gradually, the white glow was spread from Unila's body to the unconscious elf. As it swept over her bruises, they disappeared, barely leaving a trace. Exhaustion enveloped her, as she returned to her normal self.
I overdid it...I shouldn't have used so much power there. A heavy sigh escaped her, as she leaned against a rock to rest. This isn't good, what happens if someone gets seriously injured later on? Well hopefully, no one will...

Auluuas eyes fluttered open her head was pounding and her vision was blurry she coughed and groaned.

"Ugh must be a hangover or something." She said completely unaware of what had happened to her beforehand.

She scratched the back of her head when her vision had returned to her there she saw four individuals looking at her she panicked and tried to get up to run but failed and fell over landing on her rear wincing in pain.

Prince Mavndrus looked at the rubble. "Leandor must've been from when you slammed that beast into the wall." he said chuckling until the girl in the teal dress hopped off the the hotheaded mans back to inspect the pie. She revealed a body which looked to be an elf. Mav eyse widened and his head titled downwards a little to inspect the girl. She was beautiful, Mav thought to himself he looked around making sure no one saw him blush a little. He stepped forward to get a closer look she didnt look like she was anywhere near royalty but she was an elf which put her above any of the other fools he was traveling with. As she got up to run and fell he slowly approached her bumping past the others and bent down a little in front her her. "Do not fear, we will not harm you, I am Prince Mavndrus Favehari." He said standing up and extending his hand to help her up. He pulled off a friendly and charming grin.

"Oh ok looks like there not going to hurt me then." Auluua thought to herself as Mavndrus extended out his hand she took it still a bit wary of the group before her and pulled herslef up.

She brushed herself off and looked up at the big hole that was above her "Must have been from when I fell." She whispered to herself "Aw great and all my supplies are up there"

She looked at Mavndrus he was clearly attractive but she knew not to judge someone by looks "So your'e a prince then?" She asked "What kingdom do you come from?"

Eihrodeign and Lani were both surprised to find the new addition to their grouping. The elven girl had apparently fallen into the mine after the ceiling collapsed, as as the elder dragon looked up he heard the woman speak of her supplies still being up above ground. Before he had finished his thought on how to remedy the situation Lani was already nudging him and nodding upwards, amking it clear she on the same page he was.

"Don't fret too much about your supplies, Lani will be right back down with them," spoke Eihrodeign as he drew his longsword and rested it across his shoulders to make a flat platform. The large dragon then crouched down and Lani ran forward using his bent knees as a springboard, performing a handstand on her father shoulders before spinning around and landing on the side of the sword. As soon as the hybrid touched down Eihrodeign suddenly let out a growl of exertion as he launched himself back into a standing position and extended his arms, launching Lani into the air. Despite looking like she wasn't going to make it at first, a pocket of air appeared under one of her feet and the girl used it to complete a somersault as she deftly arced upwards through the hole and landed nimbly on the ground. "Now introductions are in order. I am Eihrodeign the Guardian, Ice Dragon. The girl above, Lani, my daughter, the Wanderer, air dragon. Amongst this amalgam of company we have Geir, who cares for the little people, Leander, who is seasoned and wise, Ila-for-short, apparent healer, and the child, Prince Mavndrus. Keep an eye on him, he seems the type to pluck fruits but not savour them."

Above ground Lani chuckled as her father spoke, letting everyone know he had heard Geir's comments at the entrance of the cave. She also got a laugh about his jab at Mavndrus, knowing full well that he did not have a liking for the elven prince. Doing her best to gather up as much of the supplies as possible, the hybrid took a moment, since she was out of sight, to lower her cowl and stretch her ears out. She honestly hated keeping them tucked up against her head all the time, but usually she wasn't given much in the way of options. Sighing in annoyance, Lani tucked her ears back down and pulled her cowl back over her head to ensure her secret remained as it was, secret.

Lani gave a whistle and Eihrodeign lifted his right arm up, holding the sword with it's flat side up at an angle. Once he nodded Lani leapt from back into the hole and landed smoothly against the side of the blade, sliding down a ways before launching off and landing back down on the stone ground with a well practised roll. Coming back up to a stand, Lani walked up to the girl and offered her the bag of supplies.

"Nice to meet you, and to answer your question for him, the Prince is from the land of pompousnesses and baddattitude-ery. Lani by the way, but dad probably already mentioned that. What's your name?"

Pansa nodded, acknowledging Vanathell's presence. Someone with a map would be most helpful. He looked back at the bleeding girl and again offered the salve waiting for her to take it. She wasn't bleeding so much but even a small wound was deadly in a place far from civilization. His companions seemed trustworthy for the moment. The old man was hiding something but it wasn't his place to ask. Everyone was entitled to hold some secrets.

He pulled out a compass and offered it to Van.

"I'll take point unless there is a concern. I have knowledge on how to disarm any hidden traps and traverse pitfalls. I figure I'd offer my expertise where it was useful."

Mav scoffed as the others took it upon themselves to throw shots towards him. But he didn't let it phase him too much he didn't care much for there idiocracy. Leandor on the other had was quite surprised on how the elder dragon introduced him seeing that his companionship with the prince has gotten him any good comments from the group so far. Mav turned back to the elven lady. "My kingdom is in the Dark Forest placed at its center for its magnificent magic properties. My king is the ruler of all dark elves and other elvish cities that surround it. I am to be heir." He said regaining his princely stance.

Geir looked on in some awe as Unila healed the elf girl in the rubble, noticing the faint outline of what looked like wings on the girl's back. The glow around the girl was beautiful, as healing magic often was, and it helped relax Geir's tempers. Not that it relaxed him for long, as the pompous prince pushed past Unila and to the elf girl, who had awoken. "Oh, he's a prince alright, pompous and frail, and just as rude as the rest of them," he growled. Geir did let out a laugh at Eirhodeign's introductions and Lani's subsequent comment, however, his temper not bad enough at the moment for his humor to go away completely.

Noticing that Unila looked exhausted, Geir made his way over to her, concerned. "Doing okay there, Ila-for-short?" he asked, kneeling down in front of her. His gold eyes looked at her intensely as he inspected her for any damage, apparently unaware if such an intense stare would make the receiving party feel awkward. He knew that healing magic took many forms, and some even hurt the user of the magic. This did not look to be the case for Unila, but he was still concerned for the white-haired girl. Face cracking a smile again, "Don't overdo it, alright? If you're tired, you can ride on my back again, I'll try not to make the ride too exciting," he winked, recalling the girl's comment from just before they had found the elf girl. He really had to restrain himself from making his joke a dirty one, though the thought was probably clear on his face as he stifled his laughter.

With the help of Aryal Ireth managed to free herself from the hand and stand up she held her dagger tight and breathes heavily as the hands scurried away. "We aren't safe here. Whether we are friends or foe we need to move and work together to survive." She said looking at them all.

She shuddered as a laugh echoed through "you're the only foe here!" A feminine voice chimed in the cool of the unnatural breeze that went through the halls. Ireth tensed, she knew that voice."we need to go." She said quietly trying to ignore the voice.

"Oh thank you for my supplies you have my thanks, that was quite the spectacle you did there you seem to be quite agile." Auluua said praising the girl and then turning to Mavndrus.

"So you belong to the dark elves?" She stated becoming curious about him already "I do not believe I have met any of your kind so you have the honour of being my first, but do tell me this?" Auluua paused for a moment thinking of what she was going to say hoping not to offened the prince of the dark elves knowing her own luck that would most likely end in her head on a pike "On second thought just forget it." She said dismissing her train of thought.

Her train of thought then changed tracks towards the small girl who had healed her somehow "If it could help I could possibly fix up a small potion to help her with the supplies in my bag." She offered "Well if I actually knew what was wrong with her she might be tired or ill they are infinite possibilities to take into action."

Pansa blinked and nodded. Hand monsters...that definitely was a new one for him.

"We should find a place here to make camp. An open area with visibility would be good. We all need rest so it will be our best chance to regroup and take stock of ourselves."

He checked Ireth quickly for any wounds and nodded when he found nothing major. Hee would attend to them later when they were out of danger. A camp was first priority right now.

Ireth nodded as she fidgeted some. She was anxious now, that voice got her upset. "Good idea, let's get out of this tunnel into a wider space at least." She said grabbing her torch it trembled in her hand. "Curse you Lyla." She whispered under her breath.

❀❀❀ Unila Crys-Feathri ❀❀❀

As Geir knelt down in front of her, Unila couldn't help but stare back at his beautiful eyes. The sunlight reflected them perfectly, making them shine and glow in a magical sense. They appeared even more dazzling, as his deep stare intensified the effect. It was slightly overwhelming, seeing something so mythical, but it also calmed her body after the powerful outlet of magic. It calmed her a little too much, as her eyes faltered slightly. Realizing the deep silence, she replied quietly, leaning her head forward, off the rock behind her "I'm fine...just tired." She breathed a soft sigh, before giving a light smile. "Thanks for caring." A little giggle escaped her as Geir spoke again, "It was fun though! I wouldn't mind doing that again." She noticed that Geir had stifled a laugh, and was perplexed as to why. Did he hear something she didn't? "Hey Gear, why are you laughing?" She tilted her head to the side, in a show of confusion. At the elf's kind words, she replied cheerfully "I'm fine! Don't waste your supplies on me, I'm just a little fatigued. I'll be much better with a bit of a rest."

Worrying others wasn't something she liked doing, therefore she decided to rise from her position and show the energetic side of her. However, as she stood up much too suddenly for her body to handle, she stumbled onto Geir and landed on top of him. It was an awkward position for them to be in, it appeared to others as if she had just assaulted him, especially if they didn't know them. Smiling shyly, with a soft blush growing on her cheeks she hurriedly returned to a normal sitting position beside him. "Ah, sorry Gear. Do you need a hand getting up?" Her mind was in a bit of a mess, as she struggled to keep her expression and actions normal. But then she remembered something about her surroundings, the floor wasn't flat, but rocky. "GEAR! Are you hurt? Are you bleeding? Did the rocks cut you?" Her mind was in an even heavier frenzy, confusion and concern spiraling everywhere.

Pansa thought of his sensei's teachings as he walked ahead of the group, his eyes searching any irregularities in the walls or floors. Ruins like this one were typically filled with instruments of death. And the more intricate they were, the more precious treasure they guarded was. He disliked having to disturb the resting grounds of the deceased but it was for an important cause. A glint of wire caught his eye and he called to the group to stop.

"There is a trap here. Let me disable it first."

((Visiting my mom this weekend, so I won't be able to reply again until Monday or Tuesday. Have a nice weekend guys!))

Vanathell nodded and took the compass from Pansa. But before he could thank the young man, a commotion erupted from where the elf girl had brushed past him, and the lich spun to see silhouetted hands grasping at her. Before he could react, Arya streaked past him in a trail of blue and blood.

The lich growled quietly to himself and followed after her, reaching down to seize the girl by the arm and hoist her away from the dark hands. Her oversized scythe made that significantly difficult, what with the added weight, but the monsters shied away from the light of his torch. They scattered as Van brandished it threateningly in their direction, and he eyed the corridor warily as the strange things fled.

"Are you all right?" he asked Arya, though perhaps a bit more curtly than he meant to. Monsters were crawling out of the woodwork left and right, enough so that even he was on edge. He hadn't been facetious about not wanting to be picked apart.

At the mention of a camp, Vanathell pointed ahead, to Ireth's and Pansa's left. "There's some sort of chamber ahead--perhaps once used for ceremonies or such. The tunnel widens out closer to it, and it's spacious enough we won't be easy pickings in there like in these narrower spaces. We can rest there a moment and plan what to do next."
