Fantasy The Lost Treasure of Creation

Ireth laid gasping for hair as she looked at her hand not seeing any of the blood. She was confused to what was happening and wanted it to just end. The elf slowly closed her eyes concentrating on her breathing.

Ireth's shadow formed to a person again and looked as though nothing had happened "you have to let go of your fears. You know that you are capable of so much more but you resist... You resist me." It states

"Get out of my head!" Ireth screamed at the shadow before crying out in pain she then suddenly realized what was going on. "What will happen if I accept it? If I accept you?" She asked

The shadow grinned "you will advance in your powers." It simply said "perhaps it's time we both stop living a lie." It stated

Ireth sighed and nodded "yes... Perhaps." She whispered and nodded to her shadow watching it connect back to her. As it did so the pain was gone and the elf sat up looking at Arya "I'm fine..." She whispered. Physically she might have been but mentally she wasn't.

Vikishvok looked at her curiously wondering what was going that would make her cry. He knew he wasn't obligated to help her but the fact she was upset about something did not set well with him, especially since it may pertain to her siblings which she failed to mention. He saw her order a drink and he gave out a sigh. He couldn't just watch her cry and drink herself away, not on his watch. It may been none of his business and he probably shouldn't pry but he had already seen enough through the look on here face and in her eyes something was terrible wrong though he couldn't figure out what, he was going to try and help her. "Well miss Kokoro, I planed on checking out a volcano for some sort of treasure that is unknown but it is heavily guarded from what the rumors say. I was planning on finding out after I finish making a sword for a client, but I believe I would rather help you and your cause for now, I know I may not know your problems but I would like to help you in anyway that I can. Also drinking wont help you very much if plan facing any challenge, you'll need a clear mind if you wish to make the right decision, and as a token I would like to make you weapon for you, on the house, of your choice." He spoke calmly and steadily. Vikishvok wasn't sure what he was getting into but he was ready for action of any sort, or so he thought. "Also would like to join me to the market while I pick up some forging supplies?" He asked as he finished soup quickly.

Evaryle grinned inwardly. She had picked the wrong clone. He then looked at Ireth and gave a smile of relief. Then he thought closely about what Lyla had said. It was odd. What exactly was their relation? Lyla seemed like someone who had dived off the cliff of sanity. He was starting to get curious, but he would wait for a more appropriate time. He shouldn't risk getting on her bad side. She clearly didn't look happy about something despite the pain being seemingly gone. If Lyla's goal had been to kill, what exactly did she just do? Perhaps it would be best not to find out later. He was curious and suspicious, but mostly curious.

"What exactly is your relationship to Lyla? She seems hell bent on killing you, so what exactly did she accomplish by returning your injured shadow if you're fine right now? I'm sorry for prying, but doesn't it seem off? Especially since her last words were 'I wouldn't bother saving her, I'll never stop until she is dead' and didn't kill you with this. If you don't wish to answer the question on your relationship with her, that's fine, but the fact that you aren't dead now or yet based on Lyla's words are enough to rouse my suspicion on what she just did."

Pansa finished making his notes and pushed his chair in. The drunken men had begun rambling and nothing of value was said. Tipping the waitress who seated him a few extra coins he leaned in to ask if she had heard anything. He tipped her a few more coins after she gave him some good leads and exited the bar.

Stretching his limbs after sitting so long was glorious. Sometimes reconnaissance was a long ordeal. He made his way to the village apothecary and handed him a list of plants and powders he would need. If he was going up against something or someone strong, he wasn't going to fight fair. After all, ninja never fight fair.

Kokoro looked over at the dragon with some surprise. This man who she had only just met was offering to drop his own plans in order to help her. She looked at him with some confusion, hardly noticing that the waitress had brought over her drink and had placed it in front of her. She had met others who had been willing to help her before -- at the tombs, the group she had traveled with was very fortunate. They had all had a sort of agreement to help each other. But those were people who were already planning on entering the tomb, for the most part. This man was offering to change his own plans in order to aid her. That wasn't something that she had expected, and it caught her off guard. Her eyes teared up again at the offer, but this time she felt different. Her tears weren't just ones of sadness, though there was still much to be sad about; she was also tearing up at the fact that she had almost given up, had almost lost all hope, yet here was this stranger, somehow giving her hope again.

She looked away from the dragon again, trying to wipe her eyes clear of tears before they fell. She wondered what the dragon must think of her, crying like some sort of emotional wreck. There was no time for crying, not now. She needed to stay strong, so that she could protect her brother and sister. Even if she failed in this quest, she couldn't cry, she would have to stay strong for them. Wiping the last of her tears away, the tigress finally looked up again, a more determined look on her face than before. "You...are very kind," she started, unsure exactly of what to say. She thought for a moment before speaking again, "I would appreciate your help immensely, but...I don't want to trouble you or take you out of your way. I was planning on heading into the forest in the morning, to explore the rumors surrounding the music and lights. I think that's in the opposite direction," she told him, her voice only shaking a little bit from her previous crying. The music and strange lights had reminded Kokoro of an old story that her tribe used to tell, about how the Seheran king had first come to find the treasure. She was hoping that following this lead would take her to the treasure, much as it had for her ancestor in the stories, though the volcano with treasure residing within sounded promising as well.

"I...suppose a walk to the market would do me good," she added, her voice already shaking less and less with each word, as she was regaining her hope and composure once more. She looked down at the drink on the table, wondering what to do with it now. She wasn't as inclined to just down the thing like she had the last one, but she didn't want it to go to waste. She picked up the mug and took a few small sips of the liquid, then set it down again, leaving her payment for the drink on the table and most of the mug still full as she stood up, ready to go. She hadn't answered Vikishvok's offer of the new weapon, mostly due to the fact that she wasn't sure if she should accept something like that from the man. He had been so kind to her, and making weapons was his livelihood, having him make her a weapon for free when he already had a weapon to make for a paying client...she thought that would be rude of her, especially after the man had been so kind. In any case, she wasn't totally sure if the man truly meant to drop everything for her -- a total stranger -- to go with her to some forest when, clearly, he had his own plans of places to explore. The tigress would gladly accept the man's offer if that was truly the case, but she was worried that she would be causing him much more trouble than he had planned on.

Vikishvok watched Kokoro cry silently. His facial expression softened some and he gave her a warm smile in hope to cheer her up. He smiled even more when she accepted most of his offer though was curious to why she hadn't mentioned the part involving weapons. He was also glad she didn't drink much of the alcoholic beverage as he advised. "Don't Worry about it, I only herd rumors and thought I check it out on my free time but it can wait for it is of no immediate importance. Plus it is just a rumor, also that's a interesting sounding forest never heard of something like that before. Never the less I shall join you." he said standing with her wishing he could've paid for her drink but alas she paid first. "Wonderful! well be heading to a nearby blacksmith for some raw materials I still need you can pick out the materials of your own for whatever weapon you would like to have." He left the inn holding the door open for her, "After you miss Kokoro."

Kokoro nodded her response to the man as she moved to follow him. They exited the inn/tavern and made their way to the marketplace. The tigress mostly followed Vikishvok for this, as she figured that he would know where he was going more than she did. She didn't really know the area very well, since she had hardly ever traveled away from her own tribe before, and even then it was always to the closer towns and villages. This city was bigger than any other that she had ever been in, and a little strange for her to navigate.

While they walked, Kokoro watched Vikishvok, almost like she was still trying to figure him out. "You know, you don't have to refer to me as 'miss' all the time. Just Kokoro will do," she told him, tilting her head to the side as she looked at him. Honestly, the title only reminded her that, if she failed, then soon that title would be changed. At least, that's how she believed that worked, she was not used to the 'miss, ms., and mrs. titles that were so common in towns and cities. Her own tribe didn't use the prefixes. The closest they had to that was the terms they used for a person's place in their tribe, which was regardless of gender. Tail swaying slowly behind her as she walked, the woman realized something. Does he expect me to address him in a similar way? What is the term for those of male genders again? Ah...miss is for women... ma'am? I mean, it kind of sounds like 'man'...somehow, I don't think that's right, though, she thought, a look of concentration on her face now as she struggled to remember the word. Ah, why is this so difficult?! Would he mind if I just said 'Kajiya Vikishvok'? That's the term we would use at home for someone of his profession... the woman seemed very lost in thought by now, enough to where she was hardly paying attention to where she was going.

Ireth shook her head "I don't know what she wanted to accomplish." she said rubbing her chest nervously "Either she did something that we don't know about, but i'm sure will find out... or she wants to toy with me as long as possible. She said she wouldn't stop until I was dead and I don't think she how long it takes. So if I can be saved and she knows it then, well she'll let you save me only to come out and kill me prove that your efforts were in vain?" she shrugged "who knows with her..." she whispered and decided to try and stand up but it felt strange. She looked around and saw her shadow where it should be and nodded well at least that was back to normal.

The elf looked at Evaryle carefully unsure if she wanted to go into it or not. "we grew up together and she went dark and well i was force to kill her or well i thought I did." she said deciding that was all that needed to be said.

@Silver Wolf

"I'm sorry it was just a strange mannerism of mine, does it bother you? if so I'll stop" he offered politely hoping he hadn't upset her. Vikishvok had always used miss and mister a prefix out of good manners and it helped conversation from getting to heated. Then they arrived at the nearby blacksmith shop saw on the way in. The shop sells weapons, armor and raw materials and just the few materials he needed. "Ah here we are feel free to pick any of the materials you would like for your weapon, I'll pay for it." He said with a smile looking back at her and making sure she heard him. He started picking up and examining some the metals the shop carried.

Evaryle Avelis

Location: Ocean City - Slums

With: Arya, Keir, Ireth, Geir, Raiquen

"That's more than enough," Evaryle said as he left Ireth alone. He didn't want to dive into her personal history. One reason he did that was he didn't like hypocrytes. Then he looked at the house and sighed. He knew one thing for certain. Today had been hectic. And thanks to that, it might be better to stay in hiding. Humans were so quick at everything sometimes. Reproducing, building, and best of all was forgetting. He estimated that the people would easily forget about this problem before the moon. He's even seen his crimes forgotten about withing a fortnight (14 nights).

"Hardly anyone ever comes to the slums. Heck, I haven't seen a single city guard here for a couple moons at best. The humans will probably forget about this death in a fortnight at least and a moon at most. I'd say we're safe unless we're attacked again by this Lyla person. Even then, I can already tell she's cooked something up making it look like she was going to kill you, Ireth."

Evaryle wondered what this group was going to do next. He thought for a moment. It would be fun to travel again. He had been in this city for maybe a few moons or more. By then, he had already managed to successfully teach some of the children several things that would be helpful to them. He just didn't want to spring a good-bye on them. However, he felt far too holed up.

"Honestly, you're so easily lured for someone so cautious," Nela said as she stood by the doorway tossing a wooden statue of a bird that she had been carving a while back. Evaryle turned with his eyebrows raised from curiosity. Then Nela grinned and threw the bird at Evaryle. "I swear, someone like you rushing to the aid of some maidens in distress. I didn't take you for that type." Nela used gestures of ignorance and gave a very impish grin to Evaryle and said, "I'll cheer you on if I have to, but I'm going to laugh the whole way through."

"I have bred something terrible, haven't I..." Evaryle said with an unfazed expression then returned Nela's grin. "Are you saying that because I was kind enough to give you and Avel a nice room of solitude? After all, you two needed it for a long time."

Nela flustered faster than most people could and momentarily pouted like a child before walking off to the door. After she was gone, Evaryle gave a chuckle and returned his attention to everyone else. He looked at them all and had a gut feeling that the more he followed them, the better things would get. Kind of how he felt about traveling for the first time many years ago.

"So now what do you guys plan to do with danger gone for now? You can wait a day or a few for things to hush down, but whatever you're doing, I'd be happy to assist."

@Rin Nyx @Creekstar @WeepingAngel525

The blue glow faded from her hand as Arya took a step back from Ireth, satisfied that she would be alright. She listened to Evaryle and Ireth speak, but was somewhat lost in her own thoughts at this point. She looked up as the male elf asked about what they wanted to do. "I want to leave as soon as possible," she said simply. She had only been waiting to meet up with Ireth, and then for the commotion to die down...she supposed she would have to wait even longer for that second point, though she really didn't want to.

Geir grinned now that the group was talking about course of actions. This is why he had come to help find the hybrid in the first place. "Ah, this is where I come in! Look, this is a great hiding spot and all, but I came to offer you guys a way out...Well, and to come see what kinds of pretty ladies this one managed to steal away. I knew you had to be pretty with the way he stood up for you," he pointed towards Keir, grinning and pausing to see if he'd get a reaction of some sort from the hybrid girl. He was met with a blank stare, which cause him to frown. "Really? No reaction? I was hoping for at least a blush," he mumbled, moving his hand to his chin in thought. He would have to figure out another way to get a rise out of the girl. Maybe the elf girl would be easier to tease? "Ah, I suppose the thief has some good tastes, anyway, after all he was with this beautiful young lady as well," he grinned at Ireth, hoping that maybe
she would react more than the hybrid had.

"You said you came to offer a way out," Arya reminded him, a little impatient. Though her expression had not changed, the dragon's teasing was making her uncomfortable, and she really did want to get out of the city.

"Ah, right! Sorry," Geir laughed before continuing, "I know of some underground routes beneath the city that have been forgotten for years. Used to be used by smugglers, but they're hardly used at all anymore. Guards don't know about them, and they lead outside the city, to a cave that's actually pretty close to the ocean. What do you think?" he waited for a response now.

Keir was relieved to see that Ireth was okay. It seemed to him that the damage felt was just an echo of the shadow's injury. After he had assured himself that the elf was fine, he listened as the others discussed their options. As the dragon began to speak, he turned bright red at the teasing. "What? N-no, it's not like that! We're just comrades! Allies! There's nothing like that between us, honest!" He stammered, incredibly embarrassed. What did this man think he was, some sort of pickup artist? He tried to calm himself as some helpful advice escaped the dragon's teasing mouth, however, and stood up from his position on the ground. "Hmm... underground routes? I've been in dark passageways too often lately, but it seems to be our best option. You're absolutely sure that your intel isn't outdated and the guards still don't know about it?" Keir inquired. He'd been in situations where he'd received old, incorrect information before, and he'd like to avoid repeating those events if he could help it. It had led to his getting caught in the past; he had almost not been able to escape the law that time.

Raiquen listened to Ireth's words carefully, tilting his head to the side. Was it possible that the other elf, Lyla, had done something when she did that closing-one-eye-thing in his direction? He hoped not; he hated the idea that there might be some spell on him, or that she somehow had other ideas for him. Shuddering slightly, he turned his attention to the others, listening to the best of his ability. He missed a few things, as usual, but it seemed that they were making plans for what to do next. He couldn't help but agree with the human about being in dark passageways too much; they seemed to have been hanging out in similar places recently. Could the other group be looking for the treasure, too? That was unlikely, but still possible. It wasn't worth worrying about at the moment, anyway. "Sure... might work," Raiquen agreed, trying to angle his head upward so that they could hear him from his seated position.

"I have to agree on the idea of uninhabited dark tunnels not even guards know about not being used by smugglers, or even other things for that matter. Doubly so if they come near an ocean which could be used for shipping," Evaryle said as he took in what Geir said. If something so magical really existed, surely smugglers would use it to the end. Where exactly did the dragon get this information from? "Actually, how can we be sure that these tunnels aren't inhabited by people other than smugglers?"

Secret passageways were definitely useful, but for what reason would a passageway like this be completely abandoned? It sounded a little fishy. Smugglers were often the first to take the nearest hidden route to sea. To just have the tunnel abandoned. Evaryle then felt some realization click finally asked, "How long ago was this abandoned? I'd believe a few human generations, but if it were a decade ago, I can't be certain."

Evaryle remembered the time he was once hired to steal items back from smugglers. Those people were surprisingly crafty and often well hidden from anyone. They usually stayed hidden and it really sucked to carry out a stealthy mission there. Smugglers were stealthy, crafty, and very paranoid. Not a good combination.

Geir laughed at Keir's reaction. He was certainly easier to tease than the ladies were. "I'm certain the guards don't know about them, or at least haven't been checking them if they do. I've been keeping an eye out just in case," the dragon assured the man. He turned his attention towards the male elf now, who was chiming in with his own questions and concerns. "Ooh, good question. I'd say it was, oohh, about 5 years ago since they've been abandoned. Of course the smugglers didn't just abandon them for no reason, it's just that most of them are dead," he shrugged.

The smugglers who had used that route weren't carrying regular shipments; they had been traffickers, smuggling in people to be sold. Geir had been hired as a mercenary by the father of one of the victims, who had requested he find his daughter and kill the men who had kidnapped her. The dragon had managed to discover the smuggling route and wiped out the entire group, even staying in the city for an extended period of time to make sure that they were gone. He had made sure not to let the guards in on the tunnels, though -- always better to have an upper hand if he ever needed it.

"Of course, I'm not offering this way out
completely altruistically. I know the guards are unaware of them, but I'm not sure if the tunnels have been rediscovered by some unruly types or not. I don't care about regular smugglers and thieves, most usually know how to pick their targets and when to leave a person alone. But they're not who I think might have found the tunnels..." he paused, a serious look on his face now. "I'm sure you have all heard the warnings the guards have been issuing? 'Women are cautioned to stay inside at night, and to travel in groups or with an escort at all times,'" he quoted, then continued, "People are going missing, and I want to make sure that those tunnels aren't being used for trafficking again. I have to leave the city tomorrow, but I wanted to check before I went. I figured some backup was in order, and who better than someone who needs to make a quick escape, eh?"

"Oh, I didn't mean to say it bothered me, I just...am not used to it," Kokoro said hurriedly, blushing just a little and hoping she didn't offend the dragon after he had been so nice to her. "My apologies, Kajiya Vikishvok," she told him, hoping the term would be acceptable. She figured it would be more polite than trying to guess at prefixes and using the wrong one. She looked around as they entered the blacksmith's shop, her ears drooping a little. She was supposed to pick out materials? She didn't know what she was supposed to be looking for. Which materials were the strongest? How much material did she need? She was a huntress, not a blacksmith; she had no knowledge of these things. She didn't even know what weapon she would ask the dragon to make -- he seemed rather insistent that she pick one. She mostly preferred fighting with her claws and teeth, and only really used a staff as a weapon...would he make her another staff, perhaps? Or something different? Kokoro looked through the materials as she thought about it, mostly looking lost and confused as she had no idea what to look for. Her drooped ears and swaying tail hinted at her confusion as well.

Ireth blushed at Gier's words and quickly stood up nodding, "yes, just comrades." She said quickly stepping away from kier. She listened to what course of action they should take before deciding "the tunnels sound the most promising." She said simply and noticed that thanks to Arya attempting to heal her chest her stomach was healed and she could move much easier now. "Thank you" she told Arya.

"I see...so it could benefit both parties...but it sounds interesting. I might take something from the drug smugglers while down there. If there are traffickers, I'll be happy to help. I just hope you think twice before using these two women as bait, especially without their consent. Even me, because I'm sure you know that because of our long lifespans, we elves are particularly valuable for trafficking. If there are traffickers taking women, I don't think all of us should go unless we're absolutely sure we can keep everyone safe and free from being taken," Evaryle said as he gave a mischievous grin of sorts he used to make it look like he was joking. From what this guy was saying along with commenting on the women and their beauty based on how Keir stood up for them. He was in some ways pointing fingers at Geir, but not openly either. He made it also look like he was being a joker and trying to speak Geir's language. However, if Geir thought for a moment that Evaryle was pointing fingers at him from this attitude with overdone gestures that screamed it was a joke and not a joke at the same time, Evaryle could guess that Geir could know more than he's letting up.

"I honestly want to trust this, but you're implying in several ways that these traffickers take women to sell to men overtaken by their lust. I don't think many people would care in the end if an outsider and hybrid went missing. Smugglers are crafty little buggers too. I once had a case where I had to take out some smugglers and I barely made it out free, so I'm quite experienced with how smugglers deal with trafficking, especially elves. I don't think its wise to drag these two ladies down unless you say something that details what potential danger you're looking for."

Evaryle said that without implying pointed fingers at Geir, he was also talking seriously. He wanted to know what dangers lied ahead because he wasn't stupid. He was also hinting at what Geir said earlier before potential trafficking, the secret tunnels once used by smugglers, and lots of disappearing women. He was pointing out that at his little joke to Keir about these two, it wasn't funny to him anymore.

@Rin Nyx @Creekstar @WeepingAngel525

Ireth looked at Evaryle slightly annoyed "what you're implying is that we are weak." She stated coldly "I am Ireth Amadil of the Torentaline Woodland tribe the last member of the tribe with the highest capability known in our tribe." She said quite proud given her normal humble spirit but this was an elf she was speaking to. She was going to speak with authority and although her telepathic ability was rare in elven culture and looked up as a high ranking she was far from experienced in it. However this stranger didn't need to know that. She saw Lyla as dead she wasn't apart of the tribe and would never be again.

The Torentaline woodland tribe were well known and skilled for their cunning and craftiness. They also helped those in need who stumbled upon their fortress in the woods. She wondered what the others would think of her statement especially if they knew anything about elves what she just did was challenge this elf's authority and she wondered how he would retaliate to her words.

Evaryle looked back at Ireth and said, "I'm simply trying to root out any potential problems. I don't really have any intention of calling you weak. I think you took this on too far of a personal level. If anything, I was talking to this dragon who wants us to go down into a place used by traffickers to investigate the disappearance of women. This obviously reeks of sex trafficking which we elves are highly valuable for because of our long lasting young appearances. Any woman of beauty is a target when it comes to sex trafficking. Do you really need me to spell it out too right in front of this dragon? I was trying to interrogate him in a way because all this sounds awfully suspicious. And to be frank, I don't give a damn about your lineage or village because I don't expect anyone to give a damn about mine. All I care about are the roads and what kind of scum circle around a place. I meant no offense, so please just leave the situation be."

Evaryle gave a clear sign of annoyance to Ireth in both his tone and glare. He didn't really give a single care about any of these people's backgrounds so long as they were either a threat or in danger and were ready to stand with him on equal grounds, that was all that mattered to him. Then he turned back to Geir and said, "Well, thanks to someone taking offense to my stupid words, you now know all the background to my questioning. Care to answer truthfully?"

Evaryle thought the elf would understand that, but apparently not. She claimed she knew of cunning, yet she couldn't see through an interrogation that would probably obvious to Geir. He only cared about Geir's background now because he could see some kind of past involvement since he spoke like he knew about these traffickers.

"So I'll be blunt, what is your affiliation with this potential group of traffickers who could be taking women? If you don't want to answer that, then fine, but it would lower my suspicions of you in the future. I can even pay you if you like," Evaryle said as he pulled out the still fat fat-purse's purse and waved it in front of Geir's face. Then he tucked it away and gave Geir a grin that said he was ready to barter for information if he had to.

Geir remained quiet while the elves bickered, snickering to himself a little. He had no intention of using the girls -- or the male elf -- as bait, but he knew well enough not to insult a woman's strength. Not unless he wanted to get slapped, of course, and he'd much prefer getting slapped due to cracking a dirty joke. He let them talk, then raised an eyebrow at the elf's last offer of paying him for information.

"Let's get a few things straight first. One, I have no interest in using these women -- or you -- as bait. I don't think we'll need any bait, but if we did, I'd much rather dress the human thief in drag and send him in first," the dragon grinned as he motioned towards Keir. He was having too much fun picking on the man. "Second, the intentions behind your line of questioning was pretty obvious to begin with, regardless of anyone taking offense to your words. Admirable of you to watch out for the ladies, though," he winked, "And third...well, I was going to give you all the information you wanted anyway, but I wouldn't mind being paid for my trouble," he grinned, gold eyes watching as the fat purse was tucked away.

While he liked getting paid, and offering him money was definitely speaking his language, Geir didn't actually press the matter of getting paid. This was something that he was requesting they do for him, of course he was going to give them what information he had. "My 'affiliation', if you can call it that, is that I was the one who killed the traffickers in the tunnels 5 years ago. I was hired by one of the victim's fathers, and I am very thorough with my job...especially one like that. The tunnels are hidden well enough that I doubt just anyone would stumble upon them, so I doubt there will be any drug smugglers or the like down there. Which is why the reports in the city are so concerning. Screams in the night, with no sign of anyone having been around even moments later, women going missing; it sounds very suspicious, making me think that I might have missed someone. And well...the job's not done til it's done.

"Considering that I know where the tunnels are, there's no need for bait. Within the tunnels, there's little reason for the traffickers to hide, since no one knows about them in the first place. We'd only need bait if we needed to discover the tunnels in the first place, and last time I needed to do that, I just dressed myself up in drag and waited -- boy, was that uncomfortable. Definitely gave the traffickers a bit of a surprise when they figured it out, but
damn I made a pretty girl," he laughed at his memory of events and his terrible idea of dressing up. He had been a bit more scrawny then, so he made a passable girl in the dark, but one good look at him and his terrible application of make up in the light would have given him away in an instant.

Letting his laughter fade, the dragon took on a more serious expression. "Look, I'm not asking for a huge, planned out mission here. I'm simply offering you a way out of the city, and requesting that, while we're down there, if there's anything out of the ordinary, you either take care of it or let me know so I can finish the job I started. It's that simple. If you don't wanna go, then don't. Wait around in the city for the commotion to die down -- it will in a few days -- then leave." Geir shrugged as he finished his story, waiting for a reaction from the others. Either they would come, or they wouldn't.

While he awaited their answers, the dragon took the time to take a good look at the group. The elf looked roguish, and with that big pouch of cash, he wouldn't be surprised if he was a thief as well. The dragon found himself rather glad that he had managed to get away from that life, at least. The elf girl seemed proud of her lineage, but other than that, pretty normal. The blue-haired hybrid was...odd. Her expression hadn't changed the entire time he had been there, even when she was alerting them to the dark elf in the room. Besides, she hadn't even reacted to his joke... The human thief was funny to mess with, but seemed sneaky enough. He was also unassuming enough that he should be able to get into the tunnels without attracting any attention -- the rest of them would have to be a bit more cautious. Then there was the other hybrid, the one with wings. Was he even awake? Geir wasn't sure. It would be more difficult to keep him from being noticed; the hybrid girl could just wear a cloak to cover her hair and hide her eyes, but the guards were on high alert for a winged kid with two ravens. Even covering up his pointed ears would only do so much. The dragon's gaze lingered on the kid as he thought of ways to hide his wings -- the ravens could probably be sent on ahead so that they didn't attract attention.

Keir Sullivan

Keir found Evaryle's suspicion to be quite misplaced. The dragon had done nothing to indicate that he was hiding anything, and it made little sense for him to do so. Keir also didn't like that, whether intended or not, Evaryle was implying that the girls were weak. If anything, they were the strongest of their group; after all, Arya and Ireth had usually been the ones to save him in the past. Keir decided that he didn't want to point that out, though, as it might sound pretty pathetic. Regardless, he was glad that the dragon spoke up instead. Of course, some of his first words were used to make fun of him again. "Wait, what? Hold on, I would not make a-" Keir started to protest, flushing, then cut off. Considering it, he could probably pass as a girl; his skinny build and long hair made sure of that. That was irrelevant, though. "Can you stop making fun of me already? Geez, all I do is try to steal a large sum of money, and I never hear the end of it," he grumbled.

Keir listened as the teal haired dragon continued explaining, the male elf's questioning forcing him to justify himself. He was slightly appeased to hear that the dragon had attempted the whole dressing in drag thing, though. Keir mentally stored that bit of information away, just in case it could be used as a weapon to get back at the dragon later. At that thought, he also realized that he had yet to prank Pansa back for scaring him. He was acquiring quite a list of people to get vengeance on by teasing or pranking. Trying to focus again on the dragon's words, Keir realized that they were being given a choice. He weighed the two options for a few moments, then spoke up. "I'd still rather take the tunnels than stay here. It's unlikely that the guards would find us here, but you never know. Besides, at most, the worst thing we find down there is thugs, right? We can kill those without problem, whereas we'd be in even worse trouble if we killed a guard. Seems to be an obvious choice to me," he commented decisively.

Pansa finished up his purchase and put his new purchases in the appropriate pouches. He decided he would purchase a medic kit since he had a chance to read the scroll he had gotten in the dungeon a while back. He was quite confident in his skills as a healer. Dropping into a textile booth, he inquired on the best bandages and purchased a few rolls of high quality linen and cotton padding.

He decided that venturing into the area where the temple was but not into the immediate area would be best. He could scope out any potential traps and see if be could find some honey. It was a fortune in the town he was in and he rather look for it in nature where it was free. He had a few bundles of dried herbs to burn to calm the bees. He didnt want to be stung if he cpuld help it.

He made his way out near the water temple and found a suitable place to set up camp. With the appropriate traps set for his own safety and signs of caution put up for the safety of others, he unfolded a bedroll and went to sleep.

"Kajiya? Its been awhile since I heard that prefix. Which Enkidu tribe you from?." He had made weapons and armor for many people and seemed to only remember this prefix from few certain tribes of Enkidu but he couldn't remember which one had tigers in it that also lived in the Seheran Desert . Vikishvok picked up a few rare metals and some stomes and gems for crafting was currently looking for some rubies. He looke over at Kokoro to see how she was doing an saw her sorta figiting? He walked over to her and peered over her shoulder to see what she was looking at while holding back a chuckle. She seemed adorable confused so he asked, "Don't worry about the material or its cost, also I can make very good weapos out of almost any material so don't be afraid to pick one just cause it looks nice. My weapon can be elegant and deadly." Then he spotted some rubies and picked them up and put them in the metal box he picked up on the front of the shop so he can bundle up the items without to much trouble.

Kokoro Himura

Location: Ocean City - Marketplace

With: Vikishvok

Kokoro closed her eyes for a moment, distracted by the dragon's question and from her memories of home. She was determined to stay strong now, she wasn't going to let herself cry over her memories anymore. At least, not now.

The dragon's voice suddenly over her shoulder made her jump, the fur on her tail bristling as her eyes flew open again. She took a breath to calm herself down, then nodded at Vikishvok's words. She looked back down at the materials and grabbed one at random, hoping that it would be alright for whatever weapon the dragon ended up making for her. She brought the materials over to the dragon, the expression on her face one of uncertainty as she did.

"I hope this is alright..." she started, referring to the materials. She then closed her eyes again and took a breath, making sure she was calm before she spoke of her home. "My tribe was called Sais Valsuud. Home of the great feline hunters and huntresses of the Seheran Desert, previously led by the fierce lion chieftain," she spoke softly, yet proudly of her tribe. She was careful, however, to leave out the name of the tribe's chieftain -- she knew that she might not be able to keep tears from falling if she spoke her father's name now. What would he think of her, if he could see her now? She had been raised to be strong, not to be a crying, sensitive mess. So, she opened her eyes and held her chin up high, the pride of her tribe behind her eyes, though even that could not completely mask her sadness. She would have to work on that.

Vikishvok watched the tiger carefully and listen carefully to her words. When she spoke her tribes name it reminded him of a particular staff he made for a member of high ranking in the tribe some years back, but can't remember who but he does somewhat remember being a friend of the chief that tribe but haven't had a letter or word from him in sometime now. Vikishvok hoped he was okay and was going to ask but decided not considering it seems to be a soft spot for Kokoro. He looked over the materials she picked out and gave simple nod, some of them where quite expensive and normally used for jewelry but it made no difference to him, he could still make a weapon that was at least five times stronger than regular steel from it. "Those will do just fine, like I said before; I can make a useable weapon from almost anything." he took the materials than proceed to buy them, the bill was quite high and worth more gold than he was currently carrying. Though he never really bought anything with gold except food, instead he pulled out three of seventeen diamond balls he had made back in the lava pits (diamonds are formed by carbon high heat and pressure and it takes him awhile to make these diamonds). The diamonds were 3 millimeter in diameter and crystal clear. The diamonds paid for the cost of the materials which he put them all into a bag he had in a orderly fashion so they were somewhat organized. The diamond were the reason he typically didn't worry about money in his business and often traded his items for good meals, feast, and sweets as majority of the payment cause of his inability to cook anything properly. "Well lets head back to inn so i can start crafting, you can join me to my room if you like. also is there a particular weapon you would like or would you rather I surprise you?" he asked curiously has they walked out the shop. He stayed a little close to her side feeling a little protective over her, though not noticing how close he actually was or the subconscious protectiveness.
