Realistic or Modern the Halifax witch hunts

"I think we should go." Aura mumbled, flipping on the safety to her pistol and stuffing it inside her boot again. "I'm not hungry any more."

"I'll meet you there, Lin" the skeleton said before conjuring a Wiccan pentacle and teleporting to Lin's Halifax penthouse. Lin escorted Aura to her car and she unlocked it before getting in.

Aura was silent through the car ride. She had an intense side to her, that came out in crisis situations. She was still recovering from it.

"yes" the cobra naga hissed while licking the air indignantly.

"Cool, thanks." Completely oblivious to the ability to simply maneuver his wheelchair closer to the Naga, Darnall leaned over in his chair and ran a hand over the dry and cool scales. All the while maintaining a precarious looking balance on one arm of his chair. "You're pretty amazing. I can feel the muscles practically rippling beneath your scales, which are also amailzing by the way. Awesome!"

Lin drove down the historic end of Halifax turning a few times while passing by skyscrapers before getting to a 27 story apartment building labeled "Mikmaq towers" before parking her car in a large parking garage and turning the engine off.

Lin got out of the car, locked it and said while going towards the skywalk into the building "I hated seeing on the street like that & I couldn't bear watching you freeze to death besides you're going to love it here!"

"Glad you think so, darling" Lin said going into the appartment building walking down a couple rooms before getting to where the elevators are, she pushed the up button.

"You'd never guess. I bet you could crush a-a troll easily." He continued to pet the Naga absentmindedly. "I read in a book once that serpents taste smell in the air when they flick out their tongues, and that it like exponentially better than a human nose. Is that true?"

"The tounge alone isn't better than a nose as it's also the organ that tastes, my nostrils simply add on to it, making it better than a nose" the naga said slithering in such a way that the Tail would be within Darnall's reach.

Aura got into the elevator as well, starting to become shy once more. She didn't know what to say, or what to do.

"Well, that's still pretty amazing." Darnall began tracing the edges of the scales on the naga's tail. "My name's Darnall. What's yours?"

Lin pushed the "PENTHOUSES" button and the elevator went up to the top floor and when it stopped and opened up, it revealed a beutiful high end appartment with many expensive painings, a 50 inch UHD tv with roku & satellite tv. There's also fine marble countertops and a gold chandelier in the middle of the penthouse as a skeleton got up off the designer sofa walked over to Aura and held his hand out saying "Name's Bartley, pleasure to meet you" as Lin walked over & settled down on the couch.

"My name's Yaj, my parrants were immigrants from India" Yaj said while licking the air, smelling the magic surrounding Darnall "so, you're a sorcerer of some kind?"

"NIce to meet you Yaj." Darnall's warm smile wasn't dampened by the serpent's question. "Yeah apparently I have magic. I guess you could say I'm a witch even though I don't know how to make potions, cast spells, make hexes, fly, or have a familiar." He counted the list off on his fingers. "My magic's weird and I don't know how to control it yet. Also, my radius is ruptured."

Yaj laughed and said "I think you mean your Ravdium, but that's okay, those rituals are mostly for the more powerful witches, if you refine your magic you'd be able do do all those things."

"I hope so. The magic I seem to be able to do on command is have a book open to a perviously marked page. Maybe I'm  just a library wizard." He pouted slightly before another thought popped into his  head. "You know, I don't even know the difference between the different kinds of casters."

Darnall's nurse came back with a large breakfast plate of eggs, hash browns, a pancake and a waffle and gave it to him saying here you go &I I see you made a new freind."

Aura was in slight shock. "My god... It's gorgeous..." Aura looked at the skeleton with wide eyed. She gently took his boney hand. "I'm Aura. Nice to meet you."

"Thank you, and yes I did. This is Yaj; he's pretty smart." Darnall accepted the plate with one hand, while continuing to pet the naga. "My magic doesn't feel dark, Yaj. Then again, I don't really know what different kinds of magic even feel like." He waved his hand in a lazy, absentminded infinity, and the fork and spoon began cutting his food into.neat portions. "Well, look at that. Another fluke."

Bartley led Aura into the penthouse where there was a large kitchen, a grand piano and two bedrooms on opposite sides of eachother before Bartley said "I live here, most of the time, lin's almost alway elsewhere" just as Bartley motioned Aura to lay down on the couch as Lin said "i'm here now because I'm trying to get ahead on the crack trading game!"


The nurse walked away as Yaj licked the air a few times before saying "i've never practiced magic before that's why I wouldn't know." Yaj witnessed the silverware slice his food automatically "Well i guess that's something you'll have to fond out" Yaj said slithering back to his own breakfast.
