Fandom Pokémon: Rise of Shadows

[Latios]

"Next up is Hoenn. There we're going to meet some of the most powerful Legendaies. I just hope that we're not to late and that they'll be nice. Though Rayquaza isn't know for that. Oh boy, this is going to suck." He said.


"Hey wait a minute. Hoenn was our old home, right. Latios, can we please vist our old home. Pretty please." She said with the biggest Growlithe eyes possible.

[Assailant]

Max chuckled at the girl's nature, unable to help himself from being a tad endeared by her adorable ploy. Meanwhile, Nathan chuckled as the legendary beast of the sea flew off. She had to admit, she was surprised how this was going. While there was... no shortage of disdain for humans amongst the group, there was a surprising amount of support from the group as well, not to mention the lack of opposition from the legendaries. Other than a sideways glance from Zapdos, she'd met no resistance at all. Not TOO surprising, as she doubted that there was much that they could do in those strenuous situations, but regardless. She had expected support from Max, but the immense support from Arcanus was completely surprising and very welcome, and even the lack of overall dislike from Latios was unexpected.


She couldn't help but feel somewhat happy at how things were going. They had fights, of course, but nothing severe had happened. Horrible things have ALMOST happened, but nothing had. Things were looking up.


It would seem nothing could possibly go wrong.

 

[Emperor Of Embers]

With the mention of Hoenn, Genesis had a flashback of meeting his former trainer for the first time. He was running away from a group known as Team Plasma, with fire type pokemon that could easily overwhelm him. But thankfully, a Female Trainer rushed in to help him. Her name was Jackson. She stood with her starter, Swampert, and smiled at him. She extends her hand out, then the flashback faded. As he had the memory relived, he was left staring off into the sky, with a tear rolling down his face. @Latios

Arcanus watched for a few moments as the great Legendary set off. After a bit of silence, as the dust settled, he spoke up.


"That certainly makes things easier... What would be our next destination?"

 

[Latios]

"Alright, I guess we could stop there. We should deviate to much by doing so." Said Latios.


"Yay!" Emlas immediately cheered. She was very excited to make te vist. 


"But first we need to get to Hoenn. It's only mid day so it's going to take the rest of the day getting there. I guess we should all get ready for traveling again."

[Emperor Of Embers]

"Alright, I guess we could stop there. We should deviate to much by doing so." Said Latios.


"Yay!" Emlas immediately cheered. She was very excited to make te vist. 


"But first we need to get to Hoenn. It's only mid day so it's going to take the rest of the day getting there. I guess we should all get ready for traveling again."

"Yeah.... Let's go to home, I mean Hoenn." genesis said in a sad tone, wiping the tear away. He then puts his emotional mask back on, and acted excited for the trip. He longed to go back to hoenn, but at the same time, he wanted to leave it behind, and set himself free of any bad memories. "I have a place I want to visit.... Once we get there. If it's alright with you two." He said as he knew exactly where he wanted to go, to Jackson's gravestone in Petalburg Woods. 

 

[Latios]

"As long as it doesn't make us stray to far from our objective. If it's on the way in between stops then yes." He said. "Now, if everyone would be so kind as to get with your respective partners for the flight. We need to be going."

"As long as it doesn't make us stray to far from our objective. If it's on the way in between stops then yes." He said. "Now, if everyone would be so kind as to get with your respective partners for the flight. We need to be going."

"It's in Petalburg Woods. It should not be too far from our destination." he said as he went straight into flight form, waiting for someone to hope onto his back. "All aboard!" he shouted, indicating that he is ready to go. 

 

[Assailant]

Nathan smiled. "April should be healed enough to do this, right?" April nodded. "Well then, I'll be taking her then. Thanks for the ride here!" As she boarded, Max turned to Latios.


"Well then, since Nathan is back with April, shall I resume my position with you?"

"It would appear so." He said lowering himself to let him on.

Max smiled and muttered a quiet thanks to Latios as he raised himself on.

 

[Latios]

Several hours of flying lead them to the next region of thier journey, the Hoenn. It was currently at sunset and with the sky now getting dark they needed to land somewhere. "Hey, Latios. I'm not sure if it's to far or not. But could we rest up back at our old home. We would have a place to spend the night and we could see the nest again. Well, first time for me."


Latios thought about it for a while. He hadn't been there for so long. It was probably overgrown by now. There was a lot of painful memories there as well. But it would make Emlas happy so he was willing to go through with it. "Alright, it's another 30 minutes from this location. Can everyone else make it? We've been flying for a while."

Arcanus looked up as the two Lati spoke. "I believe I may be able to make it a few more hours without dozing off. Feel free."

"Could we stop in Petalburg woods? I need to visit someone.... Someone I have not seen in a while." He said in a pained tone, he did not want to say who, or what he was visiting, and wanted everyone else to find out through him. He also wanted to find a patch of flowers to pick to place on Jackson's grave, Since Genesis wanted to pay respects to her. "When we get there, there is one thing you all should know. But wait until we get there." he added. 

 

[Latios]

"Petalburg? No, sorry. We closer to Fortree town. Getting to Petalburg would take all night." He said

Max looked over at Genesis. He could sense the emotions coming off of him, and it did not take a genius to figure out why he wanted to visit there. "It is important that we go there," He said to Latios. "If we must... we can split up. I will go with Genesis. My aura sensing will allow us to find you again."

"Petalburg? No, sorry. We closer to Fortree town. Getting to Petalburg would take all night." He said

Genesis heard what max was saying, and felt a little bit of respect towards him. But he awaited Latios' response towards max. 

 

[Latios]

"But there's no way you'll make it. We've already been flying for hours and it's getting late. If we spend the rest of the time crossing the entire region it all take all night. We'll fall right out of the sky before you get there. Not to mention getting lost in the dark. None of us are built to fly at night." Latios tried to explain.

[Assailant]

Nathan raised her hand. "Amber knows Teleport. She could help speed up the traveling."


@Latios

 

[Latios]

"Yes, a teleport would work. But if I remember, teleportation requires one of two things. Either to have been at the location or have a line of sight with it. Has Amber been there?"

[Assailant]

Nathan tried to think back. "Hmmm..." She eventually snapped. "Yeah, four years ago! We went on vacation to Hoenn, but Lilycove city was all booked and we still wanted a location on the coast. It's a nice place, I like it."


@Latios

 

[Latios]

"Alright, wait untill we get to the nesting grounds, then you may go. This way you can return without having to look for us. Besides. We're staying the night so we won't be going anywhere, giving you plenty of time to check this place out."

[Assailant]

Max nodded and turned to Genesis. "When we reach the nesting grounds, we will travel to Petalburg together with Amber."

[Latios]

They landed in a large clearing in the trees. The area was oval shape and there was a river that passed through the middle. At the center of the river was what appeared to be a broken alter. Large pieces of rubble that had clear intricate designs all over them layed in a pile. The ones at the bottom most weathered away from all the water that passed over the bottom of the carve rocks.

I still got the pic Daisie gave me. However this is the state it was in before it was weathered from age, so take that into account.

Multiple small clearings of trees that occupied the outer edge of the main clearing. They appear to be old living areas. But the plant life had reclaimed them over the years. On the other side of the river was a large patch of berry bushes. Almost every kind of berry could be seen in the patch. Not to mention the large quantity of them. 


Latios stood by the broken alter, thinking to himself. It was saddening for him to see his old home in ruins. 


Emlas however explored the place with amazement. So this was the place her family grew up at. If only she could have seen it before it was abandoned. 


Draka went over to one of the dens by the tree line. She ran a claw over one of the vine covered trees before ripping them off. On the tree was a what was left over a carving. Pictures of Lati spiraled around the trunk. Some with families, some simply flying through the air. Others it seemed were in battle with each other or other Pokemon. 


Each section of the nesting grounds held their own story and had withstood the test of time, bringing its sorrows of the horrible out come of the once peaceful place into on of dread.

Max wandered around the ruins, observing the history of the Lati unfolding in silence before him. Part of him feared that Eclipse would expect them to come here, however, despite his worries, he was not one to tell them they could not return here. He would simply have to be on his guard moreso than usual. He gently traced his paws along the trunk of a tree, and along the riverbed, pulling up soil as he did so. Even having been evacuated for so long, he could still sense trace amounts of the aura of the once-inhabitants of this sanctum, and within each of them he detected emotions and thoughts from ages past, adding a personal touch to the stories of the fallen and lost.

 

[Daisie]

Arcanus wandered down to the river silently. He touched the surface of the clear water, feeling the many memories and spirits that loom around them. Closing his eyes, he could almost feel what they felt. Terror, fear, grief. But deeper, the air tasted sweet. It smelled of berries, and had a lightness once long ago, he sensed. Picturing himself in the paradise this place once was, he let a calmed sigh. But... as he opened his eyes to the ruins that lie around them, he felt the death weighing down on them all. He sat down by the river, the sorrow sinking through his bones. And he stared silently. Even though he was with all of his friends, in this place, he felt truly alone. Feeling helpless against this feeling, he simply sat, entranced with his own moonlit reflection in the water.
