"Yeah!" Solana smiled, hopeful. She began to make her way over to the aforementioned forest, smiling at Laurence. Tilting her head, the blonde began to speak to him. "You, ah... Laurence gave out a soft laugh. "Yea I'm fine."

She let out a breath she didn't realize she'd been holding, one of pent-up worry turning to relief. "That's great!" The girl cast a short glance backwards to make sure they weren't being followed. "It's a shame we had meet again like this, but it is nice to see you again!" Suddenly, she looked a little flustered, gesturing to her other friend. "Ahh, have you met Reagis? Or, been introduced, I guess?" Solana giggled.

"No, we've never met before this. Rather... unfortunate circumstances to be meeting, but... oh well." Reagis frowned. Was now really the best time to be getting acquainted? It'd probably be better just to get out of here. He glanced at the forest, then tuned back in to the conversation, quietly making his opinion known. "We should get out of here, or at least into the forest."

"Well, I trust you two at least know each other's names now?" She gestured to each boy specifically, continuing. "Laurence, Reagis. And two both know my name, I hope!" Her blonde hair swished back and forth as she chuckled, heading to the forest. It would take longer to get to the town that way, but it was better than fighting any longer.

Reagis remained silent, content to nurse over his own thoughts as they drew nearer to the forest. The silhouettes of the trees grew larger and taller as they approached, it's effect making it look like an impenetrable barrier. Of course, it was no such thing. It was just a forest, Reagis reminded himself. The sooner they were in it, the sooner they were safe.

Solana marvelled at the wall of trees, suppressing an inward shudder. She was never one for darkness and night, whether it be an effect of either her angelic species or predisposition to the element of fire and the light it gave off. Nonetheless, when they reached the forest, the blonde walked onwards, looking back in hope restarting conversation. "We can talk, now, right?"

"Sure. Sure..." Reagis trailed off, yawning. He hadn't gotten any sleep in what felt like over 24 hours, and his body wasn't happy with him for it. He felt exhausted, like he was about to collapse.

The blonde patted his shoulder his shoulder lightly, smiling. "Come on.. Let's get through the forest, I'm sure we can find somewhere to sleep in town." It seemed she could hear the sleepiness in his vice, through she showed no signs of her own.

"Uh-huh." Reagis glanced at Solana, curious. Did she not have to sleep? Surely she'd been awake for at least as long as he had... Their days started at the same time at the school, and she hadn't even had the few minutes of sleep that he'd had. And yet she looked perfectly awake. Was it an angel thing? "Heh, you don't look tired at all."

Solana began to answer, but cut herself off as she watched Laurence fall. Stifling a chuckle, she began to offer him a hand, asking if he was okay. Realizing that she hadn't replied to Reagis, she started chattering, hand still outstretched. "Oh, sorry! Well, I don't feel too tired, I guess?" The girl giggled, free hand settling on her chin in thought. "It may be because I took a short nap before all of this started, since I usually head off the bed earlier.. Early to bed, early to rise, right?" She picked at the cotton of her shirt absentmindedly. "That's why I'm still in my pajamas."

Laurence took her hand and got up. He was a bit pale and shaky. Mumbling a curse under his breath he pulled a leaf out of his feathers.

"Ah, I see. That makes sense." Eyeing Laurence's black ((OOC: they're black, right? I remember them being black)) wings, Reagis wondered idly if he was an angel or a demon. Those were both of the winged species, weren't they? Did it matter? Probably not...

Laurence noticed him looking, and pulled them closer to him self-conciously. He avoided eye contact with Reagis, and walked forward past him.

He nodded, and kept silent. Laurence didn't want to explain his wings to Reagis, and he didn't like the way he'd looked at them... Shaking his head, he continued walking. That is...until his vision blurred. He stumbled again, catching himself on a tree, and leaning on it.

She sensed the tension in the air, trying to ease it with conversation. However, at a lack for humor, there really wasn't too much to say.. "It's nice to be out of immediate danger, isn't it?" The angel scratched at the side of her face idly. "I would say this moment is one that we could use to get to know each other better, but that'd be pushing it a little, wouldn't it?" She sounded a little awkward, hoping one of the boys would reply with something she could actually go on a normal conversation off of.

Solana turned quiet as neither answered her, hands falling to her waist and twining together in anticipation. She'd been leading the two, but gradually fell back behind them, bare feet making soft sounds as they hit the ground.


As Laurence spoke, she flinched. It seemed that the uneasy air was taking a toll on her energy and positivity. Perhaps angels thrived on happiness and friendship? It sounded cheesy, but her actions proved it correctly.
