At Laurence's calmer answer, Solana let out a sigh of relief. Her hands weren't trembling nearly so much now, although she still looked down. If either boy turned to face her, the angel would plaster on a fake smile. After all, no need to cause any more worry or negativity in their group!

"Okay then, but if you really don't want to then you don't have to tell me anything, Laurence." Reagis glanced back at Solana, who was now walking alone a few steps behind him. Pausing for a moment, Reagis waited for the angel to catch up with him before falling in step beside her. "So, Solana, how have you been holding up?"

She pushed on a grin easily, used to being the source of happiness in a group. "I've been just fine, although I am getting a little tired, haha.." The blonde pushed a hand through her hair absentmindedly, smoothing out the wisps that blew in the idle breeze. "I guess I spoke too soon, huh?" Her tone was chipper, but phony if one listened hard enough. Her exhaustion had built up over the night's events, and was now rearing its ugly head.

"Okay then, but if you really don't want to then you don't have to tell me anything, Laurence." Reagis glanced back at Solana, who was now walking alone a few steps behind him. Pausing for a moment, Reagis waited for the angel to catch up with him before falling in step beside her. "So, Solana, how have you been holding up?"

He remained quiet as they walked on. His injuries hurt a lot, yea sure he'd gotten hurt before but a dozen bullet wounds? He winced, shaking his head at the spots dotting his vision.

"I suppose..." Reagis looked down at his shoes, taking one step in front of the other. Something about the way that Solana had said the last statement struck him as distinctly... wrong. He almost let it go before mentally shaking his head - he owed it to Solana to make sure that she really was okay. "No, tell me the truth. How are you really?"

Solana had gotten a little distracted by watching Lawrence, her brows knitting in concern. Yet her smile stayed on, as fake as it was. "I told you," she sucked in a deep breath, eyes wandering to the sky, the trees, anywhere but Reagis's face. "I'm just a little tired, no biggie. Don't worry about me, okay?"

Laurence muttered a curse under his breath. He couldn't stand upright. SO, his body did the only logical thing. He collapsed.

Solana took the interruption as a blessing, despite its unfortunate nature. Ignoring what was sure to be more worrying on her warlock friend's part, she knelt down next to Laurence. "Hey, you still awake? I'm sorry, we shouldn't have made you keep walking."

Reagis sighed, putting both hands on Solana's shoulders and making direct eye contact. "Look, Solana-"


Right as Reagis started to speak, Laurence collapsed onto the ground, invoking an immediate reaction from Reagis, who rushed over and knelt beside him. "Laurence...?" Reagis shook Laurence gently, doing his best not to do it hard enough to actually hurt him more.

"Don't exert yourself." Solana's voice had taken on a rather calm tone, a little strange, given the worrying situation. It was almost as though she was talking to a wounded animal, which... was only a little far from the truth. "We.." She gritted her teeth, not wanting to meet Reagis's gaze for fear of him seeing how much of a toll the past events had taken on her. Yet, there was no other choice. "We can carry you, right, Reagis?"

In all truth, the angel was absolutely exhausted, worried and tired, but she would feel so absolutely guilty if she let it show. Angels were supposed to help others, not be the ones getting helped! Laurence was the one who needed attention, they couldn't get distracted by her own shortcomings!

Reagis nodded, uncomfortable with the situation at hand. "It might be better to camp here, like Laurence says. We're all tired and going further could..." Reagis trailed off, concern for both Solana and Laurence in his eyes. He had not, however, missed the fact that Laurence was a demon, storing the information away for future reference.

"If we must.." She nodded, looking down. "I'm sorry for being stubborn, I just..." The angel trailed off, not wanting to push her worries onto her friends. Looking around to avoid meeting their gazes, she searched for a good place set up camp.

Solana watched as Laurence disappeared, witholding a sigh. "Reagis..." She smiled, but her expression was bitter. The angel had finally decided to stop walking, soft footfalls coming to a standstill. She turned to look at the warlock, hands twisting further into each other. "Angels are supposed help others, not be helped. I'm fine anyhow, you can stop worrying." Looking away at a patch of sky through the outstretched, gnarled tree limbs, she let out a deep breath. "You should get to sleep, we need someone keep watch."

"Solana, you're tired too. At the very least let me provide company if you insist on keeping watch. I'd never get to sleep anyway." Reagis lowered his voice so Laurence wouldn't hear him. "Besides, Laurence is the one who really needs to rest. I doubt I'd get to sleep at all..." With a final glance at the shapes he'd drawn onto the soil, Reagis stood and took a few steps to stand beside Solana.

"Very well.." The blonde smiled again, this time genuine, as she was glad for the company. Meeting his eyes with her own, Solana gave him a subtle nod. "It's nice have some time to stop again.." And let out a short sigh of relief, leaning against a tree. "With some rest, we should have more energy and be able to reach town and get some food..." Her voice dropped slowly as she continued to speak, slightly concerned. "So, Reagis... Why'd you say you wouldn't be able to sleep..?"
