"Last night..?" She looked a little confused, and after a moment of thinking it through, nodded. "Ah.." Scratching the back of her neck a little awkwardly, the angel glanced over at her warlock companion. "I was just tired, like I said. Some sleep did me good, but-" As if on cue, her stomach growled. "Haha, some food would help.."

Laurence remained silence, focused on keeping his facade. He didn't need them worrying about his health. Not now.

"Hm... well, okay, if you say so." Reagis wasn't really that satisfied with Solana's reply, but decided not to push it. If she wanted him to know, she'd tell him - or at least, he hoped so. As Solana finished speaking, Reagis nodded. "You and me both, but I don't think it's really that much further."

She laughed, genuine. "Haha, yeah.." Glancing at her pet, she cocked her head. "You're hungry too, huh?" The gryphon let out a little squeak in response, almost indignantly so. It seemed to be upset at having breakfast delayed.

Reagis glanced at the gryphon that seemingly belonged to Solana as she spoke to it, quickly recalling the name of the feathered species. Looked like the education he'd received in his younger years hadn't been wasted after all.


Suddenly frowning, Reagis reached a hand under his shirt, grasping the crystal amulet tied around his neck, running his fingers over its smooth surface to check for any possible imperfections. It didn't feel chipped or cracked, as far as he could tell. Good, that meant Requiem was fine.

She chatted with her pet, walking along idly. The gryphon clicked its beak, whistling unintelligible replies. Solana giggled, patting its head softly. "Haha, you're excited to get to the city and meet new people, aren't ya?" The animal chirped happily, feathered tail raised in joy.

Reagis remained silent as Solana chattered on to her gryphon, glancing awkwardly around the forest before letting his gaze settle on the shoes he wore, placing one foot in front of the other. Slowly, the sound of rushing traffic came into earshot, punctuated by other noises that sounded distinctly out of place for a forest.

"...Cars..?" Solana immediately perked up, walking a little faster. She glanced back at her companions, a smile worming it's way across her freckled face. "Guys, come on! I think we're here!" The blonde started running, albeit not too quickly that Laurence couldn't keep up with his wounds.

"...Cars..?" Solana immediately perked up, walking a little faster. She glanced back at her companions, a smile worming it's way across her freckled face. "Guys, come on! I think we're here!" The blonde started running, albeit not too quickly that Laurence couldn't keep up with his wounds.

Reagis sped up, breaking into a slow jog as he stayed a few meters behind Solana. Cars? Weren't they those... metal boxes with wheels? A shiver worked its way up Reagis' spine as he imagined being stuck in such a tight space, trapped, as water rose and rose, working its way- Reagis shook his head violently, as if trying to dislodge the thought completely. Cars were fine. Everything. Was. Fine...

Solana seemed excited, and her gryphon scrabbled to stay on her shoulder as she sped up. The little creature seemed pretty cheerful too, though, clicking its tiny beak.


She broke through the trees finally, finding that they were at the edge of a small road. Good thing it wasn't a highway, if it was, there we no telling how far they might be from any town. The small road meandered over to a few stores.


Perhaps the trio was somewhere downtown?

Following close behind Solana, Reagis stared at the new environment he found himself in. Sure, he knew what roads were, and recognised the cars, but was unfamiliar with whatever a "store" was - it didn't look like any sort of storage area to him. Confusion filled Reagis' face as he became aware of just how limited and oblivious his life had been before now. What was everything? Why was everything so loud? He winced at the sudden onslaught of new sounds, but continued on. He'd get used to it...

Laurence stayed silent. A city isn't a place you wanna show weakness in, and reagis was clearly showing that. "Where are we heading? Downtown or central square?"

"Yeah, I'm fine..." Reagis glanced away, slightly embarrassed. "It's just that... well... warlock communities..." Reagis trailed off, mumbling the last part of the sentence. "they're pretty, well, isolated and old fashioned..." Reagis almost whispered the last part, not wanting to show the distinct lack of knowledge he had about anything, well, modern. "...and I have no idea what anything here really is..." He stared at his feet, slowly continuing to plant one in front of the other.

Solana gave him a sympathetic smile, putting hand on his shoulder. "It's okay! I can show you around and explain stuff, if needed!" She seemed happy, if even excited to do so, grinning.


"As for where we're going...?" The angel thought for a moment. "Wherever has less people, I suppose.. I wouldn't want you two to feel crowded in." She then frowned, thinking harder. "Although... Wherever we can find somewhere like a doctor or hospital would be the best, wouldn't it?"
