Fantasy Lifeweb Academy: School For The Magical

Solbi the Nimbi

Solbi looked to where he was pointing, then back at him. "Oh?" she said, tilting her head. "'Tis a mystery then? We shall have to investigate then. Wither thinkest thou that the dwarf went?" she asked, genuinely interested in his answer. If he had information, perhaps he wasn't totally useless after all. Then again, he had proved himself rather useless thus far. All he did was trick her into liking him, which was a rotten thing to do. She didn't need him. She'd show him he wasn't anything to her. Somehow... Otherwise they might have to be friends. How disgusting. She wouldn't be caught dead around him; everything about him was that of the lower class of people. Jeremy was where it was at.

He shrugged. "Dunno Princess. Maybe he was taken? You DO know the runors right?" He asked. If this girl had no clue, then she could be in danger. After all, royalty is valued in this society.

"Rumors? What rumors? The one that says you're vile and unloved?" she asked in an almost serous manner. She of course had never heard that, but it didn't hurt to get a jab in when she could. After all, he was basically doing just the same. So no hard feelings. Not that she would have had any regardless. "Dost tell," she encouraged, moving a bit closer to make sure she got it all. She wanted to know what he was talking about, and furthermore whether she could brand him as a gossip with no credible sources.

Jeremy

Jeremy was a bit taken aback when Solbi decided to drag him along but he had now gotten used to it. It was nice that since she coudl levitate, he wouldn't have to worry about his clothes getting ruined. The soles of his shoes were suffering slightly but it wasn't as if that problem couldn't be addressed with a little magic later. He listened intently as the two spoke until the topic of rumors was mentioned. His curiosity peaked, he spoke up.

"I'd like to know too. I haven't heard any rumors worth remembering about the academy. Then again, I'm not the most 'in the know' person heh heh..." he trailed off awkwardly, realizing he had just revealed some of his social ineptness.

"A pleasure to meet you, too~!" Respen took Starlight's hand and shook it eagerly. "I'm so happy little Lawrence finally spread his wings and made some friends—he is quite the loner, it's kind of sad, really—because that's why we came here~!"
"I thought it was because of training for fighting—"

"That too! And of course I forgive you, Alicia. I thought it was hilarious!"

Lawrence rolled his eyes.
Alicia Red

Alicia giggled at the exchange between Lawrence and Respen, she could tell the two really cared for each other despite Lawrences' outward dislike of his brothers words. She smiled when he said he'd forgive her. "Yay! Woah!" She shouted excitedly at first before shouting in slight shock as Starlight floated under her and force her onto his shoulders in doing so. She didn't mind, she preferred using people as valiant steeds as opposed to walking or flying for herself anyway. "Let's go then! Onward valiant steed!" She declared childishly, pointing back towards the cafe.

He sighed heavily, his face turning stony. "Students have been dissapearing as of late. Nobody knows how or when, but it happens." He explained, crossing his arms and looking around, wondering if they were being watched.

"Soundest like a personal problem," she commented, watching Skye curiously. He seemed to be a little aloof, or paranoid she couldn't really tell. She looked at what he was looking at, but didn't see anything of particular interest. "Art thou okay? Thou seemest like thou expectest something to fall right out of the sky and killeth thee," she observed, then realized with a gasp. "Thou art waiting for the lava I hath promised before! Well too bad! Thou recievest not what thou expectest! I'm not going to do it!" she said, obviously proud of her deduction and 'fix' to win against his expectations. In her mind, this was her way of assuring that he didn't get whatever it was he wanted, but it probably just helped him anyway. Oh well. Doing all the right things for all the wrong reasons as usual. She glanced at Jeremy for a moment, debating whether or not this 'threat' posed a worry to her after all. She didn't want either of them getting hurt from some mysterious force, and it seemed like it was entirely possible. She had to wonder who she would choose to help should they both need it. Jeremy was obviously her prince, but Skye payed more attention to her. Jeremy was cute, and Skye was alright she guessed... This may be more serious than she thought; she might have to pick just one of them!

"Princess, you ARE royalty, right?" He asked. "Imagine how valuable they must think you are. Who knows what they do with the people they take." He said, looking her in the eyes but still concentrating on his surroundings. He wouldn't want anything bad to happen to her, or anyone else for that matter.

Solbi the Nimbi

Solbi thought about it, still not sure how all this happened. To be honest, she never mentioned the word princess or royalty at all; he just assumed for some reason. "I believe not that The Overthere hath a system of government relatable to that of systems hither, but I am rather important," she said, though it wasn't necessarily true. Perhaps she wasn't as common as other races, and that might make her more valuable. But she wouldn't ever get caught, so it didn't matter. Speaking of actually, she hadn't seen another nimbi ever since she fled The Overthere. Did they all die in a catastrophic genocide? What even happens to nimbis, an already dead species, when they died? She had no idea, and it was hurting her brain thinking about it, so she stopped that. She returned her eyes to Skye, giving up looking for whatever he saw. When she did, she noticed that he was looking at her, and abruptly looked away so as to not have to maintain more eye contact. "A-anyway, should not we be going now?" she asked, looking at nothing in particular.

@Cruor Flumine @Drakerus

He nodded. "Yea, sounds like a good idea." Skye said. Now that the thought was in his head, he couldn't help but to observer everything he could. He would do his best to protect these two, he just hoped it would be enough.

Solbi the Nimbi

Solbi nodded in acknowledgement. "Whither should we look first?" she asked, thinking Skye had more intuition on this subject than she. She considered teleporting around, but she didn't know the academy all that well, and there was huge room for error in her trajectories. Guess it was boring ol' walking around for them at the moment. How exciting. She moved a bit away from the group to where Skye mentioned that he saw the dwarf, but there wasn't anything of note left there. After considering it a moment or two longer, she came up inconclusive as to what had happened. Returning back to the other two, she looked between them to see if they had a consensus as to where to start.

Jace glides overhead on silent wings, and spots a few people in the courtyard below. Right as he is passing overhead, his ability to fly starts to fade. He knew he wouldn't last much longer in the air and is forced to land almost directly behind the other students. He turns away and begins walking, hoping he won't be noticed.

Right as he was about to suggest a course of action, he heard footsteps behind him and, in the blink of an eye, had his bow drawn to its maximum length. He let out a heavy breath after he saw it was a student. Skye folded his bow and put it back in its spot. "Might wanna be careful where you land, people can get a bit edgy." He said to the new student.

Sliding the rapier that was partially drawn back into its scabbard "My flight still isn't all the way back yet." Jace says, folding his wings back behind his cloak that he uses to hid his rapier and dagger. "I can't help it when it just starts to give out you know."

Solbi the Nimbi

Skye's reaction sent Solbi's wide eyed gaze searching frantically for what he was aiming at, then was just as confused when he suddenly stopped. What if they were being taken like the dwarf? He was just gonna let it happen, just like that? Wow. "A bit edgy? Thou wilt let some strange man get so close when there ist a potential murderer on the loose?" she asked in abhorrence. Looking back at the strange man, she narrowed her eyes in quite warranted hostility, not willing to give anyone the benefit of the doubt when considering what all had been going on thus far. Who knows who she could trust? Maybe not even Jeremy or Skye. Well she didn't really trust Skye that much anyway. He always was a little shifty. But she wasn't going to just throw him under the bus... yet. She would bide her time and see where his priorities really lied. Speaking of, there was a good chance he was just trying to throw them off the trail because he was the kidnapper himself! That would make this random person an accomplice! It made sense to her because they talked like they knew each other, but that familiarity was just what was needed to send her straight into suspicion. Who could she even trust anymore? She slowly and timidly floated back, trying to unnoticeably distance herself from the other two possible-murderer-kidnappers and back to Jeremy. The least attention she could draw to the fact that she figured out their secret, the better. She would tell Jeremy all about it when they were alone. For now, she had some thinking to do about Skye. Of course she could have just jumped to conclusions, but who wouldn't in this situation? Plus the new guy was fairly shifty on his own. Trying to calm herself, she tried to view this rationally. As for the hard facts, she had none. As for the hunches, she had many. What was there to trust anymore?

Jace turns his icy gaze to the strange woman with the wings, and then back to the man who had pointed a bow in his face a few seconds before. He did not know what it was but everything about this new school and the people made him extremely uneasy, even after all he had been through in his home realm...

@Cruor Flumine @Kazehana @Drakerus

Skye crossed his arms. "Not really. Never had a problem with my wings giving out." He said, his wings shuffling behind his back. This new person looked a bit odd to say the least, even more out of place than the girl. "So," he began, his hand ready to snatch his bow once more. ", what brings you here?" He asked, gesturing to the academy.

@Morlac @Kazehana @Drakerus

With his hand on the pommel of his rapier "I need to learn how to get back to Gondiel. And as for the wings, things work differently here. My magic isn't what it used to be either." Jace's cold gaze drifts over the bow the winged man is holding.

Solbi the Nimbi

Solbi was being cautious not to say anything, but this man blatantly gave her an easy way to get rid of him. "Oh 'tis easy! I canst taketh thee thither right away!" she said cheerily. Though she obviously had ulterior motives to be offering such a thing. Which she did have. One less person to deal with seemed like too good of an offer to pass up, plus she could pass it off like she was a generous person. And if he was somehow involved in all of this, he wouldn't be for much longer. That or if he chose to stay his cover would be blown. Either way, it was a win-win for her, and she couldn't be more satisfied with the proposal.

@Cruor Flumine @Drakerus @Morlac

"Like you? We don't know how to feel about you yet. You came in at a rather sketchy time and I'm just being paranoid. If I were you, I'd watch your back around here, students have been dissapearing." Skye said. He turned from the odd man and walked back over to Princess and Jeremy.

Solbi the Nimbi

She was very much confused as to what was going on, but she wasn't going to question it. She was going to gather the facts then accuse people! But she couldn't blow her cover No one would know she was actually suspicious of them all! "How rude! I offer to taketh him back and he refuseth! What the ever. We should be going by now," she said, glancing at the sky. The sun felt nice today, bathing her in a warmth she didn't know she had. For a moment, she forgot that she was on the hunt, so her attention snapped back abruptly, blinking a time or two to readjust her sight to immediate surroundings. "Now whither wouldst someone take kidnapped people..." she mused, mainly to herself. While she was itching to go, they hadn't the foggiest idea of where, and she wanted to make sure they weren't just wandering around, hoping for something to happen. And they couldn't split up because that is literally the worst thing to do in any horror movie; come on white people get it together, sheesh!

@Cruor Flumine @Drakerus @Morlac

Skye shrugged. "Wouldn't expect him to, Princess. He looks like he's the kind of person to not ask for help." He said, glancing back at the man. "Now, as for where they would take the missing students...I'm guessing that they wouldn't keep them off campus, that would be too obvious. So, maybe around here somewhere?" He suggested.

Takia walked the halls qlone, while holding his sword across his back with his arms folded around it. He wasn't even thinking about where he was going, he was just walking and whistling. He stops by a window and sees Solbi, Jeremy, and two other males, but one of the males seemed like he was leaving. That's a terrible look, for "angel princess". He turns and keeps walking down the halls whistling. He stopped at a restroom and did his business, which took rather long. He washed his hands and left the restroom continuing his pointless walk. I wonder if those rumors about this place is true. He said while looking around. Probably not, but that scream from before could be caused by what might goes on in this school. I'll probably might be next, since I'm alone. He stops and stand stills, sitting on the fact that his alone. Nope, nope nope nope. He repeated many times while running back to the window he was standing at looking at Solbi, and her friends. As he approaches the sword, he fires a blast of spirit energy, shattering the glass. He then jumps out the window. Luckily he was on the second floor. He did a perfect roll landing, and jumped to his feet. He walked over towards Solbi, Jeremy and the other guys. Why hello there. Please don't mind my fancy entrance. @Kazehana @Drakerus @Cruor Flumine @Morlac

Skye, once again, spun around, his bow fully drawn. Upon seeing it being another student who broke the window, he let out his breath and slowly let the string slide back into place before folding it and replacing the arrow in its quiver. "Honestly, what the hell is with people and coming out of nowhere!" He said, upset that he almost shot three people already today. Cooling down, he let out a sigh. "What can I do for ya?" He asked.
