"Kiku is...."

I would sigh.

As I stared at my friend I realized, his eyes. They weren't filled with his normal cheer. They weren't filled with his normal happiness. They were filled with worry.

My Italian friend is not allowed to be sad.

Ever.

Its not awesome.

"He'll survive. I know it."

I smile.

I wont let him be not awesome.

I leave camp to go find Alfred.

I'm not leaving him to fend for himself.

I follow a beaten path made by the others, eventually finding a small clearing.

Obvious signs of struggle.

Is America alright....?

I hear a rustle of leaves behind me.

Theres a gun barrel pointed at my face.

A man steps out of the bushes, and pulls the trigger.

A fluffy dart hits me in the chest.

I stare at his eyes, and feel the air rush back as I fall back.

And then the world fades.

Whitney Zarrof

After shooting the man, I drag his body into the jungle.

And into my shack.

I tie it to a post.

I caught my first one....

Now to find the British one and the Loudmouth one...

I step into the jungle, and hide in the bushes again.

I watch the Brit and Loudmouth.

I wait for an oppurtunity.

After searching in silence for some time, a flash of movement amongst the trees caught Arthur's eye.  Too clear to be the light playing tricks on his eyes, too large and quiet to be an animal.  He gave no sign the he'd seen anything, not wanting to alert the enemy to their knowledge of his presence, but spoke very quietly to Alfred, voice just a murmur.

"Someone's watching us."

"Eh? Really?" Maria exclaimed, a bit surprised by what the Belarusian had said since she could see just fine, if not for the fact that her sight was a bit more clouded, but simply chalked it up that she was just used to it raining more often, since she was a tropical country. "I can see pretty clearly, though."

Shaking her head lightly, Maria caught a galnce of her baro't saya, and quickly hid herself with her hands, since it was pretty indecent to be looking at her at that moment. Of course, she didn't really have a problem with this, since back in the days, her people wore little to no clothing, but it was the modern times now, and apparently, showing too much skin was considered shameless.

Arthur turned, facing away from Alfred.  Whitney had snuck up on them both times he had attacked, and he wanted to make sure he couldn't do that again by watchign the parts of the jungle Alfred wasn't.  Though unarmed - he hadn't thought there would be need for weapons on a cruise - the Brit quickly snatched up a fallen branch, deciding the makeshift club was better than nothing.

Both Irelands arrived at camp completely fine though one of the two were smirking while the other just had  this small smile on their face. Joshua had retold the events the best he could, their encounter with this ''Mr.Zaroff'' guy who he had joked had worse people skills then a certain nation who did not need to be named for her to get the joke. It was definitely true though. This man obviously was malicious and he would be like a roach if he was a personification.

He told about the nicknames they exchanged which weren't insulting like she thought they would be. Overall she found his retelling amusing which he had a hard time faulting her for because things could sound much more funny if you weren't there yourself.

When entering she called out with a wave of her hand in the air "We've returned! " she yelled loudly to nobody specifically, just anyone at camp right now.

Hearing voices, Feliciano poked his head out of the shadows of the cave curiously.  "Ciao, you two!" he called out, expression cheery by now.  "Where've you been?"

"Hello Italy. Sorry I had to explain everything that happened to her while we traveled back. Must of gotten caught up ." he gestured to Alana who nodded in agreement "Yep. Seems like a lot happened while I was standing out in the rain doing nothing. " as she spoke she started to notice the lack of people there. "Where are the others anyway? "

I lift up my tranquilizer and fire at Alfred.

I turn to Arthur and say.

"Kiku's resting in the cave, and Gilbert and Raj are with him.  Ellen's in the other cave, and Romeo, Arthur, and Alfred are - "  He stopped, suddenly realizing the three weren't, as he was about to say, in the clearing.

"...Huh?"  He glanced around, looking mildly surprised when he couldn't see them anywhere in the nearby jungle.  "I guess they went to get food or supplies or something."  That was when he saw the piece of paper lying on the ground close by.  It hadn't been there the last time he'd been outside, and he could make out a couple lines of writing on it.  Picking it up, Feliciano held it so that all three could see what it said.

"ALFRED!"

First horror, then blind rage swept across Arthur's face and, as Alfred fell, he snatched the gun from his hand and pointed it at Whitney, the distance between them short enough that any shot he fired wouldn't miss.

It was a near stalemate; each had a gun raised and was ready to pull the trigger,  But he was fairly sure that someone living on an uninhabited island had next to no practice with duels, whereas Arthur trusted his eyes to catch when Whitney was about to fire in time to shoot first.  That also brought to mind the question of how someone who lived alone could know he was British if they had no human contact to learn about nationality - or the English language, for that matter - but he'd take his chances with the duel, anyway.  It wasn't as if he had another option.

"My name," he spat, voice level but full of fury, "is Arthur.  And if you don't tell me what poison was in that dart and how to reverse it, I swear to God I will make you suffer until you do, and if I have even the slightest inkling you're going to fire, I will kill you."

No one - no one - harmed his family.

Alana sighed and she chuckled slightly because of the news "We can't take are eyes off of him for five minutes or he goes off wandering with those guys." she joked before looking back to the jungle. She hadn't heard or seen anything suspicious so they must of been fine or she assumed so.

Joshua was focused on the note and outright ignored her joking . "Man hunt? Are they actually looking for vengeance? " he couldn't help but think that their searching for this guy wouldn't do much good but they were gone anyway so he couldn't exactly do anything now. "Sometimes I think they all enjoy getting beaten by a mysterious personification. They maybe injure him once and they begin going out their way to find him."

"They?  It just says 'Alfred'," Feliciano poined out, but then his eyes widened in understanding.  "You think Romeo and Arthur went with him?"  He couldn't see his brother, of all people, being that vengeful, but he might have followed them.  And while he held Romeo in high regard - when he remembered him - Seborga wasm't exactly known for its military.  "This isn't good."

He was just assuming. If the American went off to get vengeance or whatever England might of went along for whatever reason. It was the only thing that made sense unless his brother just wandered off for no reason. It did hit him that this could mean trouble but it was best to not panic "Well...I am only assuming. They could be somewhere else getting supplies like you said..." he doubted that himself and he wasn't very convincing sounding.

Alana stared into the forest still, waiting for something that apparently wasn't coming because she looked back to them "I think your brother might have gone with Alfred plus are own brother." her face showed a little glint of worry. She smiled slightly despite the fact she knew that this was going to result in little good. "No matter though! You probably don't have to worry about your brother's safety that much. The American and English army are no pushovers, you know.* she was just trying to reassure him but she wasn't lying about that. He would probably be fine as long as he stayed close to the two.

"That's true.  WIth the three of them togehter, they should be be okay."  His expression brightened once again, since three against one seemed like pretty good odds to him.  "As long as the others are out looking for Whitney, maybe we should look for the food and supplies.  Like firewood, and maybe something to make fishing rods."  They were going to be here for a while, and he didn't think they could just survive off of fruit.  Besides, a shipwreck didn't mean they couldn't have good meals.

Ellen sat on the river bank whisleing to her an old fishermans song they used to keep themselves entertained while on the boats. She cast her line into the water and waited for a bite . the few fish beside her proof that she was a good fisherman "I wonder if the island is alone like me , maybe we could be friends and i could leave englands crown dependency with their help"

Now that they had managed to settle their more pessimistic thoughts they might as well make themselves a little useful. What would it look like if they returned and just saw all of them counting their toes. "That's good idea Italy." he responded with a tiny nod. "Sounds like a plan." she might of started to be getting hungry anyway and so was Joshua. "You think three is a good number though?" it might of just been because three was a uneven number but she wasn't feeling to strongly about only taking three people with that guy running around ready to attack the first nation in sight.

Alfred collapsed on the ground in a heap, still. He heard bits of words, but whatever the guy hit him with was enough to knock him out.....and everything went dark.

Feliciano shrugged, gesturing towards the cave.  "If you want to, we can ask if some if the others want to join us," he agreed.  It would be safer with more of them, he thought, and he'd rather avoid danger as much as possible while still getting something to eat.  So, jogging the few paces over to the mouth of the cave, he ducked his head inside, glancing around.  "Hey, Gilbert, Raj, wanna join us?  We're going out to look for food."  He paused, suddenly noticing something.  "And where's Ellen?  I thought she was around here?"

"Sorry Brit, I don't play your silly games."

"As for the poison, its just a tranquilizer dart. It will wear off."

The Brit has an intense determination in his eyes.

"You know, I run a business on this island. You'll see it soon enough."

I would lunge toward, throwing a punch at the startled Englishmen.

He collapsed back.

Hell need time to recover from that.

I'd chuckle.

I start to drag the loudmouth away.

I bind his wrists with a strtstrtong jungle vine, in case he wakes up. I do the same for his legs.

The two followed the Italian man quickly but just to hear what he was going to speak about with the other two men who were sitting in the cave. They weren't planning to actually do much other than listen. Both were just a tad bit nosy. Though they both groaned in unison once the news that another one of their siblings went off but this time without a loud American.  Neither one  had wandered off  but the other two that they knew about just loved to disappear. Both had no knowledge of the whereabouts of Scotland or Wales or whatever other family they may have forgotten. Joshua grumbled some words in Irish or attempted Irish at least because Alana reacted with a giggle and replied in the same language as he but first corrected him on his mistake. They exchanged a few words in Irish before going back to silence. They planned to go find her if those two didn't know where she was or went.

Arthur had been solely focused on the trigger of the dart gun, ready to shoot if Whitney so much as seemed like he was going to move to press it.  As far as he'd thought, that was the only thing the stranger could do in the current situation.

So when Whitney darted forwards and lashed out, he was stunned for just an instant to long, because a fist slammed into the side of his head, bringing with it a jarring, explosive burst of pain.  On reflex, Arthur fired.  As to whether the shot had hit or not, he could only hope.  And then before he could blink away the stars from his eyes, he was falling backwards, dizzy.

It took him only a moment to recover, though, and leap to his feet, but as he looked around, Arthur felt icy dread stab through him.  Both Whitney and Alfred were gone.  And if he had, in fact, hit Whitney, the personification had been strong enough to knock him off his feet with a single blow; he wasn't even sure now if one bullet was really enough to injure him.  But forcing himself to focus on what he did know, the Brit spotted their trail leading off into the trees.

Arthur took off after them as quietly as possible, the gun the stranger had thankfully left him with in his hand.  It didn't take long to find them, and he followed along silently, knowing that he'd never get another chance to find out where Whitney was going and why, and not wanting to shoot from a distance for fear of accidentally hitting Alfred instead.  Soon, a shack came into view, and he stayed hidden the foilage of the jungle, waiting for a chance to get a clear shot.

As she and Natalie rested under the shade of a tree, Maria had noticed something, or better yet, someone, hiding in some nearby foliage aiming a gun at something not too far from their current location. With his shaggy blond hair and his enormous eyebrows, she instantly recognized him to be Arthur Kirkland, the personification of England. Her deep brown eyes lit up with curiosity as she began to wonder what exactly he could be aiming at with such caution, his nervousness and determination swirling in his emerald gaze.

Tilting her head a bit further, what she saw made her blood run cold. It was Alfred, her former brother, in a state of unconsciousness with his hands and legs tied together with the vines that grew nearby. Not only that, but he was being dragged by a man she certainly didn't recognize, to a shack hidden deeper into the forest. The unknown man also had a certain aura to him, the aura that all of them possessed, the aura of a personification. And that alone made the current situation much more complicated.

'Ano ang dapat gawin ko?' Maria thought to herself in slight panic, her expressive eyes betraying every emotion she was currently experiencing. Including an emotion she rarely ever feels in her life. Fear. However, she knew that panicking would get her nowhere, and thus, she took a deep breath to calm herself down. 'I shouldn't interfere. Not yet. Interfering now would only cause chaos. I should wait for either of them to make a move, and only then will I involve myself.' She decided in her mind, making sure not to make any noise as she directed her attention back to Natalie, but kept an ear out for any noises that'll indicate that something had happened.

Alfred woke with a start and began to take in the situation. He focused on starting to slowly stretch out the vines on his wrists.

Clutching my wounded stomach, I walk out of the shack, leaving the loudmouth and italian in the shack.

Now where was the Brit....?

After walking a short distance, I realize I should have tranquilized them again...

Oh well. The door is locked from the outside.

THE SHACK

its a small shack.

door locks from the outside and a very small window, about the size of a textbook.

~Romeo/Seborga~

My eyes start to open.

Things start to sink in.

I'm tied to a post in a small, dim room.

I look to my left to see a wall.

I look to my right and see....

Alfred.

"Alfred....can you hear me"

I whisper beside me, in case the man is close by.
