Senki more or less instantly perked up when Amelia mentioned she could draw. "Oh, really? Are you any good? Can I see?" She asked her curiously, glad she finally found something that didn't verge on watching paint dry in terms of being interesting.

Ame snuggled in as close as she could to get maximum warmth, quite enjoying his grip on her. She found it easy to fall asleep, or mostly fall asleep, that is. She didn't go completely to sleep, but she felt as safe as could be, so she went as far in as she could.

Asada simply laughed at the reaction garnered from Mirai, it was priceless. He stuck his tongue out in a childish fashion before continuing to laugh. Miziki whined before smearing the kanji on the table, effectively causing Asada to dissapear. She didn't move her gaze from the floor nor did her ears perk up. "What he said was right, I'm blind. And he likes making fun of me for it to because he knows it bothers me." She told her, wiping the tears from her eyes on her sleeve before they fell. "I don't mind people knowing, its just not all of them treat me the same way when they find out.."

Gold passes out on the top bunk of the bed (I'll just say the room is bunks instead of separate beds.), not bothering to wait for his roomie.

Trying to navigate the network of stairs was a nightmare. It was as if they were purposely getting longer to make his trek more difficult. As Darius climbed the quiet steps he heard quiet incomprehensible echoes resounding around him. He assumed it to be the voices of the other inhabitants of the building conversing but he still got an eerie feeling in the pit of his stomach. It was probably because he hadn't met anyone yet and thus unsure of the characters of the student and faculty. Some rumors he heard went as far as saying some of the students who attended were psychopaths waiting to snap.


Eventually he reached the floor his assigned dorm was on and proceeded down the vacant hall. He could just barely hear hushed voices through many of the doors and he couldn't help but wonder what they were talking about. He remembered that he hadn't made any acquaintances, let alone friends and this put him down a bit. Then again, he had arrived unbelievably late so it was expected. Reaching one of the last doors of the hall he took out his key and walked into his room. Gently taking the now sleeping dragon off his head and placing it right next to his pillow he flopped down onto the bed and groaned in relief knowing that he didn't have to walk anymore until tomorrow. As the boy's eyes closed his companion snuggled up to his side and resumed snoring contentedly.


"I hope I make some friends soon..." Darius thought before drifting off.

It was a charcoal sketch of was a blue bird lying on its back, stiff and motionless. Over the bird were the words Can't fly anymore.

Amelia got a confused look on her face. No one really ever laughed at her dark, morbid sense of humor. This was definitely a first. But she quickly shook it off and flipped to another page. This one had a well-drawn man dangling from a noose on an oak tree. Under it, it read Hang in there.
