Dio Castle

@Quarantine @Thanatos [/i]

"Jess said to get back to them as soon as possible, but I'm going to grab some weapons from the basement. I'm fairly certain some of those are registered under several of our aliases. So can you take this with you?" And before Dio could answer, Anais go on her merry way and leaving him with 2 packed sports back and another packed suitcase. There's no way he will bring all of these down with the stairs. Muttering 'Fuck it', Dio pressed the elevator button and take all the risk of encountering the police or whoever was sent by the government to catch them. The door opened and it's empty, thankfully. Dio threw all the luggage inside and pressed the button to the parking lot. He stood in the middle of the elevator, humming the soft tune played inside and waved at the security camera- wondering if the security guard watching him right now is in panic and calling for help. If he did, then they should go right away.

With a soft ding, the elevator door opened and there's Dio, walking with all his might carrying all the item he had to carry- somehow understanding the thoughts and feelings of a husband who are dragged into his wife's shopping spree. As Dio approached his friends, he noticed Ria walking inside a SUV with the new kid. Dio put down all the stuff he carries to the ground and quickly approached Jess, his face showing a mix of anger and confusion.

"Boss, mind explaining to me what's going on?" Dio asked. "I don't understand, with all the shit we are doing right now and Ria suddenly releasing our identities."

"Charlotte! You're in the Phantom. Hurry! Everyone needs to leave." Seeing Dio, she impatiently answered, "Yeah, yeah. There was a threat that someone in BC was giving off information in exchange for a shorter sentence, kind of like a spy. I don't know if its true or not, but if we released the information they wouldn't get away any easier than the rest of us. I think its one of the Bugs, which is why I got one that used to be a Dog, and has proved herself to be loyal, and one that admittedly isn't intelligent or brave enough to come up with something like that."

Looking over, she saw that the car was packed, and waiting on her. "Uh, you're in the Rolls Royce Phantom... Did I tell you that already? Whatever. Keep your phone on. We'll drive as slow as is legal at first. If you aren't ready soon, call me to see where we are."

She hurried back to the Toyota, getting in and wasting no time driving out of the parking lot, and towards a nearby high way.

Once they were on the expressway, she finally calmed down, completely silent as she navigated the road, going through her options for temporary housing.

I've contacted this person, and they've agreed to be the spy. It's one of the main characters(so not Oliver or something).

Ria bounced her leg, glancing over at Q. Every second was torture, knowing she released her own and Erika's identities. Besides her, the only one she was actually worried about was Jess, and maybe David.

Putting her head in her hands, and shaking it she barely listened to the conversation in the back.

I'm not like this, she thought. My reputation doesn't include shame. I was supposed to leave that behind before I even began the race as a sperm. I've never had it, really. Really...

Hearing Jess get into the car, she sat up, suddenly tired. It was... what time? She looked up at the dashboard, finding it to only be forty after. She looked away from Q to say, almost inaudibly, "I yelled earlier. Sorry."

Time: 8: 40

Barely paying attention to what was happening inside the car, she became alert when he mentioned the word, "sexy." It wasn't often used around her, and god forbid at her. Eraveeva looked over to Dakota and Erika, a small smile on her lips. "Dakota, lovie, give it a rest." She watched as he looked up and leaned close to her. "You know what they say about glasses?"

She paused, her smile faltering for a second of confusion. Finally she nodded, "They're often a pair of lenses set in a frame resting on the nose and ears, used to correct or assist defective eyesight or protect the eyes."

He leaned away, and looked out the window, likely trying to play nonchalant.

She stopped smiling, though she wasn't anything but proud of herself for what she did. At this point, she realized three more people were in the car. Counting off heads, she realized all that was missing was Jess.

As if reading her mind, the leader finished speaking to a boy from another floor, and walked over to the driver's side, getting in and beginning to drive within a span of eight seconds, not seeming to want to talk to anyone at that point.

"Oh! It's okay!" Q blurted out a little too loudly in response to Ria's apology. She probably had enough running through her head to be worried about his feelings. He didn't even really matter at the moment.

He glanced around at the other passengers nervously and lowered his voice. "Things are kind of...crazy...right now, and I was sort of panicking, I guess, so yelling was probably good. I was just afraid that everyone would think--" He looked up again, swiveling his head around the car as he addressed the vehicle at large (and, wow, now that he was actually looking, was that guy in the back even alive? And where was that girl's shirt?).

Don't stare, dumbass, he told himself as he shook his head, blushing as he turned back towards the front of the vehicle.

"It wasn't me," he declared, wanting to just put his declaration of innocence on the table for everyone to hear. He realized how dumb that sounded, however, the second it came out of his mouth. "And...I'm the new guy, soooo you really have no reason to believe me....like, at all, but I swear, it wasn't me."

Charlotte snapped to attention at Jess's voice, the whirling noise of her rolling luggage coming to a stop. Jess. It seemed like forever since she last laid eyes on her boss and the others. The familiarity sent a wave of relief and shock through her. It had seemed like a dream-or nightmare- before, but seeing the leader gave everything a crystal clear sense of reality. She took a hasty look at the rest of the SUV, Dakota's red hair and Erika's invisible shirt catching her immediate attention. A smile would have graced her face if the situation weren't so grave. Instead, she gave a quick "Got it" before making her way to the Phantom, instantly switching directions to avoid wasting any more time. At the very least, she would not have to squeeze her way into the SUV to seat squashed between two people for the duration of the car ride. Tight spaces weren't exactly the most appealing aspect when running away.

Even as she put her luggage into the back of the Phantom, her ears couldn't help but catch what Jess was saying to Dio about the overall issue. Despite knowing that their information was released on a broadcast, she didn't know the context or finer details of the situation. With all the excitement, it never crossed her mind and she never thought to ask. She felt her heart jump when she overheard that a spy might have been involved. Of course, her initial reaction was doubt. She wouldn't say every single one of Black Cat was a best friend, but she trusted each of them on the most basic level. Still, she couldn't help but feel suspicion and extra caution bubbling up inside of her. She truly did want to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but her cynical nature asked for her honest opinion. Information never released itself; it required human hands and mouths to give it life and pass it on. And she knew the power of information firsthand.

After dumping her luggage in the trunk of the Phantom, she slid into the backseat and placed her backpack beside her, careful to leave room in the backseat for more people. She was proud of herself for claiming a backseat instead of the driver or passenger ones, an additional ode to her distaste for driving. She watched as Jess disappeared into the driver's seat and the SUV drive off, her own patience running low as she waited for everyone else to pile into the Phantom. She was suddenly aware of her evening attire and heels, making a mental note to change into the extra clothes in her backpack at the earliest convenience.

Location: SUV

Interacted with: Q (@Kade)

The first thing he did when he got in the passenger seat up front was to check behind, to see who was already inside the vehicle. There was the injured Alex, which was no surprise to him. He was injured and needed to lay down. While possible to do so inside a smaller vehicle, it was better if he was in a larger one like the SUV which they were in right now. Near him was a girl with ginger hair. David wasn't sure if it was ginger or just a really really light shade of brown that was bordering ginger. Her hair wasn't what caught his attention though, it was her attire. Erika Vericchi, he now recognised, was wearing nothing up top except for her bra. His eyes widened marginally for a brief second out of surprise. The last thing he expected to see was the sight of a half-naked woman. The sight was nothing new to his eyes--not Erika half-naked in particular, heaven knows that the girl would never be with him in that kind of way--but girls in general. David had his fair share of ex-lovers and sex had been part of those former relationships. His eyes didn't linger long on her of course; David may be a flirtatious person, but he had manners. Besides, he wasn't interested in Erika. It wasn't that she wasn't pretty, but she simply wasn't David's type.

His green eyes then caught a glimpse of short red hair and that alone was enough of a cue for him to know that Dakota was inside the van as well. Which brought him to the next person: the raven-haired bespectacled girl. He only knew her as Eraveeva, no surname to add to her name. Somehow though, David doubted that Eraveeva was her real name. He never questioned it though. She must have her reasons for keeping it to herself. Whatever they were, David had no real need to find out. Lastly, there was Ria. She was being oddly quiet at the moment, not that David minded; he quite liked this, a quiet Ria. He doesn't know the girl well, but loud was the word that he had come to associate with the girl based off their encounters so far.

He swiveled back to face front. As he did, he couldn't help but overhear the conversation between Dio and Jess enter the vehicle from its widely opened door.
"Boss, mind explaining to me what's going on? I don't understand, with all the shit we are doing right now and Ria suddenly releasing our identities." Having the same question in mind as well, David listened in and began focusing on what they were saying, all the while watching their interaction through the tinted window of the car. "Yeah, yeah. There was a threat that someone in BC was giving off information in exchange for a shorter sentence, kind of like a spy," Jess replied, her impatience seeping out with every word she said. That wasn't what David focused on however; it was her words that he hung onto. A spy. He gritted his teeth upon hearing the word. He was leaving his friend, his family, his normal life behind, all because someone decided to be a coward and turned into a spy?! When he finds out who it was, the person was going to wish they were dead. He pushed his bubbling rage aside for now. Jess wasn't done speaking just yet.

"I don't know if its true or not, but if we released the information they wouldn't get away any easier than the rest of us." So it was Jess' idea. David didn't know how to feel about this. He wasn't exactly in agreeance with the course of action she decided to take. They could've amended things without having to release their identities and put them in a compromising decision. David thought about them trying to find the spy and eliminating him (or her), but then he realised that it would've made them look guilty. But still, he thinks that there could've been a less drastic and better solution to the mess. He couldn't help but sigh. What's done is done.

David tuned out of the conversation between the two shortly after hearing that releasing their identities had been Jess' idea. Instead, he went on with busying himself with setting up his (sorta) new phone. He took it out of his laptop bag. It's been there pretty much since he got it. David bought the device under a fake name, Matthew Vermont. He even went as far as to disguise himself as he did; best be safe was what he thought. Billing for his phone charges was placed under his bank account of the same name--the one where he keeps the money he earns from Black Cat. The phone was an older version of the iPhone (5S), but he didn't mind. David was never really particular about owning the latest phone or technological device. He only ever did have the latest of everything because his parents decided to give it to him. Tech wasn't his thing, it was Cedric's. He shook his head willing himself not to think about the best friend he was leaving behind. It was kind of funny, how David was more guilty about leaving Cedric rather than feeling guilty for leaving his family. Not that he thought about it, how would his family react? He was fairly certain that his father was going to be royally pissed. The man had always viewed David as an investment, if he were to disappear all of a sudden then it would've been a waste of his investment. What about his mother? How would she react? David wasn't too sure... or rather, he no longer wanted to think about it.

Another person soon entered the vehicle: that guy from earlier whom he didn't know. A new member? That seemed likely considering he was getting there with them. Not long after, Jess got into the vehicle as well and sped the vehicle out and into the road. Silence soon followed. It seemed that Jess wasn't in a talking mood. He couldn't blame her though, if he were in the same position as she was at the moment then he would wish for a moment of silence as well, just calm himself and take a quick breather. David wanted to ask what happened in the party, but decided that it could wait.

He started to fiddle with his phone, more like surfing the net really. David was curious, he wanted to see what sort of chaos had befallen the news. What Cedric had said earlier had been right, their names and faces really were everywhere. The video hadn't been out of long, but already there were ten different news articles written about them.
Jesus.

David started to hear the voices coming from the occupants of the SUV as they started to talk among themselves. He wasn't paying attention to what they were saying, at least not until the new guy suddenly started declaring something that caught his attention.
"It wasn't me," he said. David's right eyebrow shot up and he found himself turning his head to look at the guy. "And...I'm the new guy, soooo you really have no reason to believe me....like, at all, but I swear, it wasn't me," he continued to insist. David merely stared at him before bluntly saying, "What are you babbling about?"

"I..." He looked around again as if seeking out his response in the magical gaps between the other passengers. "The leak, or snitch, or rat--whatever you want to call it--I just, I thought..."

Did nobody actually think he was the informant? What is wrong with these people???

Or maybe it was him. Maybe he was paranoid. Maybe this was a result of watching too many movies or playing too many video games. Or maybe it was because whenever anything went haywire around the house his dad always blamed him for it (totally unfair--he only blew up the toaster once).

"Never mind," he puffed out on a sigh, turning towards the window, almost strangely disappointed. Join an organization with a bunch of other freaks, and still nobody understands him. Well, at least no one was trying to kill him. That was a plus, he supposed.

"You should turn the Parallax off on your phone," he found himself murmuring, glancing back towards the guy in the front before firmly gluing his eyes to the window for the second time. Because drawing more attention to himself was exactly what he needed right then (dipshit). But he'd briefly caught sight of a thing on the phone and it was a thing that annoyed him and annoying tech was hard to let go of for him, so he felt the need to at least finish his statement before his inner logic kicked him in the ass and made him shut up for good. "It'll drain your battery faster if you leave it on."

David curiously watched as the boy struggled for a response.
"I... The leak, or snitch, or rat--whatever you want to call it--I just, I thought... " Ah so that's what he was referring to. David remained silent. "Nevermind," the boy said not long after. Looks like he gave up trying to explain himself. But it was too late. David had already started to ponder about his words.

The Butterfly's expression was schooled to reveal nothing of what he was thinking--nothing of what he was
feeling. But what was he feeling exactly? Anger? Rage? Contempt? He thought he would be feeling those when he found out who the snitch was. He was expecting to get the sudden urge to throttle them. But no, that wasn't what he felt--then again, David didn't exactly believe that it was him. He saw his point though, no one really knew him, no one really knows what he's like, what kind of person he is. His very motive for joining Black Cat could've been just so he could get them arrested. However, him being new was also why David didn't think it was him. There was no time for him to leak out information regarding Black Cat. It was merely hours ago that he arrived at the place. Unless, of course, if he was wearing some sort of recording device on him that immediately transmitted to God know who. Then again, it could be that he already knew of the place long before he had joined. But if he had, then why didn't he inform the authorities sooner? The cops could've easily made a surprise raid on them and catch them. Why go through the trouble of spying on them?

There was no need to spy. There was no need to join Black Cat. The only way it would make sense to him is if the spy was already a member of Black Cat, not just some newcomer who--
"... off ... Parallax ... phone," the boy murmured. David didn't quite hear what he fully said, but he heard enough to know what he was referring to. "It'll drain your battery faster if you leave it on," he added in explanation. David looked down at his phone. Didn't he already have it turned--ah, new phone. Right. Without saying a single word in response, he went into the settings and turned it off.

"You're right," he suddenly said without lifting his gaze off his phone. "It could very well be you who was the snitch." David paused for a few seconds before lifting his gaze to the new guy. "But I don't think it's you." He twisted back around, facing the front once more. "You don't look cunning enough."

Dio Castle

@Quarantine @Thanatos @Aes [/i]

Great. A rat in our midst- But thanks to what looked like Jess's backup plan, his or her plan is not working since now his or her identity is released together with the rest of them. A price to pay, to stop the traitor from stabbing them in the back. Right now, they should focus on their current task: Running away, finding a new place to hide and lay low- Thought Dio doubt they will ever find one. The entire nation is searching for them, and some of their enemies might be too- now that they know who they are they are surely going to join the hunt to pay them back for what they did to them.

Dio shook his head, and quietly took the sports bag and Erika's suitcase to the luxurious white car. He opened the trunk and noticed that some had already placed their belonging inside- so Dio neatly moves it to the side before placing the two sports bag and the suitcase, to make sure that it'll have enough space for whatever they are going to throw inside next. The next thing he did is turning off his phone and took out the SIM card, snapping it in two before throwing it down to the ground- Hopefully, his friends will do the same before they tracked their position via GPS or whatever trick the NSA going to use to find out.

Dio peeked inside the car, finding Charlotte seated all by herself inside the car.

"Enjoy the champagne, m'lady." Dio joked as he closed the door, and then make his way to behind the wheel. He fixed the rear view mirror, throwing a wink at Charlotte, before turning the key and starting the engine. "Who are we waiting for?"

She looked up at Q's exclamation, thinking deeply about it. Her eyes were focused and steady, revealing no emotion. This happened often when she tried to figure something out, even if it didn't really matter.

It wasn't him. But why? What evidence was there? No. She didn't know the whole story, nor did she really care about this kid. Still...

She turned to Q, "I don't th-"

"I sent an email to him about where we were less than four hours ago, he came right away, and has been with Ria since then." Jess said from the driver's seat. After she said this, she seemed to come to a conclusion

There, Eraveeva thought, leaning back in her seat, thoroughly displeased with how quiet most of them were. Silence wasn't her favorite thing in the world- not even close.

"Ah, so," she looked behind her at Alex, deciding not to ask where he got his injury. Seeing the one person she did know, as a floor mate, she asked, "Dakota? How are you faring?"

The boy wrapped his arm around Erika, pulling her unnecessarily close, and saying in a hushed tone, "
We're doing just fine."

"Okay," EV spun around, sinking into her seat, giving up on chastising him. How hopeless.

Action: in the car, talking to Dio

Mood: calm, cautious, a little jumpy and worried

Interactions: Anais (@Thanatos), Dio (@too much idea ), Mira (@pandana )

Charlotte clutched her phone in her hands, toying with it absentmindedly as she watched the SUV leave. She checked her notifications and reread her texts with Rory, knowing she would miss him and her restaurant. She hoped he wouldn't get into any trouble because of her. Mid-thought, she realized that she hadn't done anything to prevent the authorities from tracking her phone. And she had sent and received texts while in this building. She had watched enough spy movies to know about device tracking, a cool process to watch if you weren't the one being tracked. She turned off her phone. Next, she took out the SIM card and placed it next to her before removing the battery as well. She wasn't completely sure if the battery affected anything, but now wasn't the wisest time to take chances. She used her heel to crush the SIM card multiple times before opening the car door and throwing the destroyed pieces out the car. If she needed to contact someone, she certainly wasn't going to do it on her phone now.

As she closed the door and exhaled at the job done. One less thing to worry about. However, her inner peace didn't last long as Dio looked into the car. She froze, expecting completely serious or horrible news. Instead, to her surprise, he said, "Enjoy the champagne, m'lady." She leaned back in her seat in a relaxed position, ironic considering the ongoing turmoil.
"I'm glad at least one of us has our priorities straight," she replied with a small, amused smile. It was easier for her to be stoic than comforting to others in stressful times, but now that she was calmer, she could manage her feelings a little better. She even considered drinking some of that champagne now to calm any of her remaining nerves, but decided it would be inappropriate to do so at the moment. Drinking herself into oblivion with Dio's alcohol wouldn't help the situation at hand.

She watched as Dio walked to the driver's seat, praying that he was a good driver that didn't require her assistance. She disliked the passenger seat as much as the driver's seat because it required almost as much attention. She took his adjustment of the rear mirror as a sign of his driving prowess, allowing herself to glance at the rest of the parking lot for the others and, in the process, choosing to pretend she didn't see his wink.
"Anais and Mira," she said to Dio, pushing her red glasses to her head like a headband and rubbing her eyes for a brief moment. She left her glasses on her head as she counted the members of Black Cat and matched the names with the faces she had seen in the SUV. If her mental list of everyone's names was correct, they would be the last ones. It was true that between running her business and getting information, she didn't get to know many of her fellow Black Cat members. Additionally, her preference to remain solo on most jobs didn't help. But she trusted herself to at least get their names right. She even remembered the newest member, Q, his young face sticking out in her mind from the one or two times she'd seen him. She tucked a strand of dark blonde hair behind her ear, her tawny gaze eyeing Dio carefully in the rear mirror. "Anywhere in particular you'd like to see?" she asked lightly, trying to make conversation before the others clambered in. Chances were she'd drift off into thought or get distracted once the roadtrip started, so might as well make conversation while her attention was here. Without thinking, she began to unclasp her necklace and take off her earrings, intending to put them into her bag while they were waiting.

Anais Fiennes

Location: Passenger seat, Phantom

Interaction: Charlotte (
@Aes) & Dio (@too much idea)

"Oh, wow, okay." Anais murmured under her breath as she listened to Jess explaining the situation. She managed to get her suitcase, the rifle and a duffle bag- the one mostly filled with handguns - before the SUV left. Her jaw clenched as she loaded her luggage into the trunk. Whoever thought they would have any advantage if they squealed first must want to be swallowed by the ground right now, having enough information to possibly only get a slap on the wrist... only to have said information released to the public first. That didn't mean she wanted to get her hands on the traitor, though.

Then it hit her. What if no one had actually come forward? What if it had been a ploy to get them to release the information? She chewed on her lip. This was going to affect Victor's life. Whether or not there was an actual traitor amongst them. No doubt about it. She couldn't care less what it would do to her father's career really; it'd be actually hilarious since he's a cop. She was more worried for Victor and her aunt.

About to slide into the passenger seat, she froze, realising that she left her clutch in the operation vehicle. She should at least get her phone and check the messages - her identity was released as a Black Cat after all, there had to be messages from her family and friends - before she threw the phone away. Quickly, she ran up to the operation vehicle, took the clutch, and stalked back towards their getaway vehicle.

Tucking her clutch underneath her arm, she began to check her messages. Two missed calls from Victor, seven from her dad, three from aunt Megara, five from other people, and several texts.

Bane of my life: Dad is going to kill you. Can't say I'm not amused nor surprised by the whole situation, though, just disappointed we won't get ice cream next week.

Father dearest: ANAIS MADELEINE FIENNES. ANSWER YOUR GODDAMN PHONE.

Aunt Meg: Anais, you had better explain yourself.

A frown tugged at her mouth as her fingers flew across her keypad,
"Get two scoops of ice cream in my honor. Tell Auntie I'm sorry. Don't bother with dad." Upon sending the message to Victor, she took out the SIM card and broke it in half, then discarded the pieces and the phone into a trash bin nearby.

Pausing as she walked past the trunk, Anais' eyebrows furrowed. Would one pistol enough in the event the police apprehend them while waiting for Mira? Probably not. So Anais quickly opened the trunk again, and took her rifle and two ten-round magazines from her backpack, closing the trunk just as fast. She was going to assume that everyone in the car had their own weapon, concealed or not.

Just as she was about to slide into the passenger seat, Scout hopped inside. Shit. She'd forgotten about Scout. Stashing her rifle beside her for easy access, she glanced at Dio then at Charlotte over her shoulder.
"Think it might be a better idea to wait for Mira around the corner than here? The authorities are bound to track us to this place and quite frankly, I'm in no mood for a shoot-out despite being prepared for it." She gestured towards the rifle before hoisting Scout properly into her lap.

David nodded at Jess' words. He was thankful for her explanation. It was the same reason why David didn't think it was the new guy; now he no longer had the need to explain himself--then again, his last words, 'you don't look cunning enough' may have been enough of a reason. It was true though, in David's opinion, the boy hardly looked like someone who was devious and cunning enough to serve as a spy.

He went back to looking at news articles on his phone. Before he had turned to talking to the new guy, David had been reading a news article which featured the very video that leaked their information. He silences his phone--the sound wasn't important--before clicking on the play button. David watched as their names, faces, genders and ages flashed by, one at a time. When it got to his, he couldn't help but clench his teeth. Hearing about it was one thing, seeing it was another. David couldn't help but be astounded by how just a moment ago he was on his way to do the usual Black Cat business, and the next he was running away from everything along with his fellow members. Just as the video was to end, he paused and frowned at the last person listed.

'Quincy Lee, 16, M' was the info detailed, the photo accompanying the information was that of someone he didn't know. For a moment, David assumed that this was the new kid, but the kid looked anything like the man in the photo! He pushed the thought aside for now. It could be that there was another new member of Black Cat that David didn't hear about. He hit the play button and waited to see the face and name of the new kid that was currently riding in the vehicle with, but it never came. David continued to stare at the black screen signaling that the video had ended, as his mind started to process what was in the video. Right now only three words were coming to mind,
what the fuck. He played back the last couple seconds of the video, the part where 'Quincy Lee' was shown. Is this supposed to be the new guy? David thought. But it didn't make sense. Why not reveal his identity along with theirs?

Without looking away from his phone, he asked,
"Ria, who's Quincy?"

One thing Switch didn't like was having a lot of eyes on him, especially when it was people he didn't know. Sure, he'd been the one to draw said attention by randomly spouting out his innocence, but as he was suddenly put on the spot, it felt like being back in class all over again and blurting out the right answer to a difficult question, then embellishing on it with information that the students hadn't been taught yet. People would stare at him, a kid who hadn't even reached puberty besting a bunch of teens who where old enough to drive and learn the mechanics of sex in the back seats of their cars, and in return they would make snide comments at him--

"You don't look cunning enough."

--until the teacher would come to his defense--

"I sent an email to him about where we were less than four hours ago, he came right away, and has been with Ria since then."

He wanted to further defend himself so he didn't look like the little puss who needed the teacher's help, but all of it made his stomach tie up in knots, turning him into his usual anxious-mess self who continued to stare out the window as if he could suddenly will himself to be on the other side of it. It was incredibly stupid really, considering he was on the run from law enforcement with a bunch of criminals he didn't know; there were far bigger things to worry about than feeling like the asshat in the group who didn't fit in. This wasn't high school after all, and this wasn't a pop quiz. Everyone was on edge and it had nothing to do with him whatsoever, so he needed to get over himself and his stupid, childish bad memories.

Keep your head down, follow orders, don't piss anybody off. You can worry about making friends later. For now just stay out of the way.

"Ria, who's Quincy?"

Q's head snapped back around at the question, eyes widening slightly as he looked from the guy in the front to Ria. Well, now it actually was about him. Great. So much for making himself invisible; and yet, it was something he was also curious about. The answer to that question may very well clue him in on where, exactly, he stood as a Black Cat member.

As the car cruises further and further form Black Cat HQ, The Fox wakes up from a short slumber he took while he was passed out in the back of the SUV. The things he heard in his sleep made him feel a mix of confusion, displeasure, and exhaustion. The Fox bares daggers in the form of a glare into Dakota that used his near death as a flirting-point. "You really know when to keep your dick your pants don't you?" The Fox asks with a dry, patchy voice. "I could hear you, asshole." Alex adds, looking at Dakota with a piercing look.

The Fox sits up, placing his back against the side of the SUV and directing his eyes toward the floor. "There's a rat amongst us? They need to be shot." The shooter says, fueled by anger caused by having to flee his home without wanting to. "Jess, who the hell would do something like this?" He asks, looking towards the leader in the driver's seat before realizing who
else was in the car with them. Ria. The bitch that Alex hates. "You don't think it was Ria, do you?" Alex says, directing his gaze towards Ria, remarking about her only on the fact that he has a strong disliking for her.

Erika sat in silence, a bit surprised when she heard the boy begin to speak.

"
I barely know you, but I feel like we have a real connection."

Ah, fuck. She listened awkwardly until he finished, glancing over at Alex. The flirting attempt finally processed with her, and she cringed, hoping he wasn't implying what she thought he was. Unsure what to respond with, and wanting to leave, she paused for a good fifteen seconds, which didn't make the tension go away.

"That's...! That's rude." Unable to think of anything to else say, she just put her head down, listening to the conversation around her, and smirking a couple of times, as EV made him shut up with her serious mood-killer comeback.

"Ria, who's Quincy?" Quincy? Was there a Quincy? Maybe that was the new guy.

She nearly jumped hearing Alex's voice, and glanced over, listening carefully. She didn't really feel proud of him at that point, or really anything at all. Just kind of uncomfortable and confused, keeping her hands in her lap as the car swayed. Being in between them wasn't the best idea at this point. Actually... now that she was thinking about it, getting caught in the crossfire was definitely something to avoid.

"
Not getting near both of you at once ever again," she said quietly to herself. They seemed like born enemies.

(OOC: Damn. Just realized, @Der Eine, Erika and Ria are friends. Ria and Alex... are not. This is great.)

Jess drove on the gravel road, feeling a sense of loneliness, not for the first time since losing her dad. She distracted herself by listening to the conversation in the back, becoming confused on more than one occasion. The air had changed, as they got closer to the sea. David, beside her, suddenly asked who "Quincy" was. Quentin? Jess thought, wondering why Ria would mess up his name, after just reading his E-Mail. Alex shouted something from the very back, and she smiled, glad that he was alert. She answered, still waiting for Ria, "Alex, if it is someone, you likely know them. I suggest you don't speak ill of the one who did it,
if someone did try to give us away. They might be in this car."

There was a pause, and Ria said, "You just asked who Quincy was? Is that what you asked, Quincy?" Aw. She realized what had happened. The two tech nuts.

"That's really cute, you know?"

"Ria, who's Quincy?" Ria's head tilted to the side as if she didn't understand. To buy just seconds of time while she tried to some up with something, she asked, "You just asked who Quincy is? Is that what you said, Davie?" She hoped he would just get mad about her calling him that and say, "Never mind," or something. It was something liars often did, repeating the question, and drawing it out. That said, Ria was a pretty good liar. And Jess was pretty good at seeing through lies.

Instead of pointing out the real reason, it seemed, Jess said to Ria, "That's really cute, you know?"

"What is?!" Ria fired back, trusting Jess enough to cover for her.

Instead of answering directly, Jess pulled into a long driveway, leading up to a cabin sort of living space. When she killed the engine, Jess said in an amused tone, getting out of the SUV, "You two would look great together. We're here, leave the things in the back. Everyone inside." Hag, Ria thought bitterly, even though Jess was four years older. Ria looked out of the window, blinded by the lights coming through the large building. Their electricity bill was probably more than she got paid. And her eyes adjusted.

Fucking huge.

So fucking huge.

Ria got out, leaving the door open for EV and Q. She hurried up to the building and went inside without thinking. It was their fault for leaving the door wide open. The noise of the sea was nearby, but it was too dark in the woods to see any water. She stepped into the house, a bit disappointed. The inside wasn't nearly as impressive, especially when compared to her apartment. It was like a regular apartment, only more cabin-y. The only thing was the complete lack of owners, which she was grateful for at that very moment.

"Jess?" She shouted down to the driveway. "Where's the owner?!"

"Probably sleeping!" Jess called back. "So shut up!"

"Okay!" Ria said loudly, watching as EV and Dakota began to head up the driveway towards the house, looking very out of place with their bloody clothing. She took it upon herself to go to the staircase and examine the intricate decoration, before stomping up the stairs.

(For reference:

Edwards Home For Sale

The house belongs to a wealthy client, who offered services(resources, hospitality, hired help) instead of money. A mutual friend to Jess.)

He stared out the window, not paying attention until the little boy woke up, whining and saying "bad words".

Dakota held back his laughter, saying, "Ah. Sorry. I have to use my resources. You were fair game." He paused, seeming to come to a conclusion. "Awww. How sweet. I got it. You like me, and got jealous I was flirting with her. That's cute, bud, but I'm into girls. Don't blame you, though. I'd love me too if I weren't me. I mean, I still love myself, but, you know what I mean." He stretched as the vehicle came to a stop, ruffling Erika's hair before hopping out of the Toyota, saying whimsically, "
So glad I came. Probably going to get laid soon." With just one more glance at Erika, he started heading up to meet Ria, disappearing into the house. And getting the last word, of course.

The car stops suddenly, much to Alex's dismay. He keeps his head low as everybody gets out and as Dakota insults him in front of everybody. The shooter suddenly reaches over and grabs Erika before she gets out. "Listen," The Fox starts, mouth curling downwards into a frown. "I'm..... I'm sorry." Alex nearly catches himself while saying it. "I've been a really big dick to you for a while, I just don't like the way some people act. Don't take it personally." The gunman barely looks up at her due to embarrassment. "Also, I'd just like to thank you." Alex now looks directly into Erika's eyes. "Thank you for being there for me when I was dying. I was worried about what would happen to me, but every time I saw you I..." Alex trails off, looking down while slightly increasing his grip on Erika's shoulder.

Alex didn't realize that he had gotten his eyes partly watery while talking to her. "I felt better." The Fox finishes, clearing his throat and wiping his face in an attempt to play off his sudden emotional outburst. Alex pops open the back of the SUV and hops out, turning to Erika for a second. "You coming or what?" The Fox asks, almost as if the conversation didn't happen. Then again, he was in front of other people after he got out.

Erika cringed at what Dakota said, knowing Alex wouldn't take it well... and then he kind of did. As she was about to get out, he grabbed her, and she looked over, listening to him carefully as he apologized. After he was done, she smiled, and said too quietly for anyone to hear, "No problem."

The girl got out, and sped up to the cabin-house-castle-manor thing, following the first four inside. She saw Ria going up the stairs, but decided not to tell her that was a bad idea. Instead, she just went to the kitchen , looking out the window at the dark ocean, from above the sink. Soon she could talk to Jess, shower, find out how long it would be, explore, meet the owner, freak out about the entire situation for once, and see if there was someplace she could sleep. Actually, there probably wasn't enough room for everyone. She could sleep in the car, and play guard dog at the same time, in case someone tracked them all the way out here.

Happy with that plan, glanced around the room, trying to find something out about the owner by how things were set up. After giving up, she went back to the living room, and waited by the door to talk to Jess. Meanwhile, she thought about the oddities. The lights were all on, for the most part. The owner was asleep. The house was in the middle of no where.

She pulled out her cellphone, looking at a recent text. Her own family hadn't even dared to text her, asking if she was okay, or even reprimanding her. She narrowed her eyes, and sent back,
I don't know. Now's really not the time. I'll contact you tomorrow with more. She shook her head, calling to Jess, "Hey, Jess? Can I talk with you?"

A sudden outburst from the back, momentarily cuts him from the question in mind. It was Alex, asking who the rat was. It also seemed like he was pinning Ria--or at least, he immediately assumed it was her. Evidently, the boy is not a fan of the pig-tailed blonde. Alex had been kind of right, it was Ria that released their identities, but it was at Jess' orders. Then again, it could very well be her. Everyone was a suspect. Even David himself was not exempt from this. The only one with an albi would be the new guy--whose name he
still doesn't know. David could ask, but that was not his style. He normally learns of people's names through listening. Oh well. At least Alex was still alive and kicking.

Jess pacified the injured fox with her next words,
"Alex, if it is someone, you likely know them. I suggest you don't speak ill of the one who did it, if someone did try to give us away. They might be in this car." She had a point, considering the number of people that were in the SUV as compared to that in the car, it was more likely that the rat would be among them in the SUV. The question now, however, was who.

Before his mind could wander off into the territory of hypothesizing who the spy was, Ria answered his question... with another question.
"You just asked who Quincy is? Is that what you said, Davie?" she had said. David's left eye twitched at the nickname and began glaring daggers at the female through the rear view mirror. He was about to bite back a retort, when Jess beat him to it saying, "That's really cute, you know?" Wait. What.

"What is?!" Ria burst out almost immediately after Jess spoke. He still didn't understand, what the hell was going on now? What the hell could be cute about Ria hiding the identity of one of--Oh. It suddenly hit David, what Jess meant. Does she like the guy and did that to protect him? The blond wanted to scoff at the loud Bird for letting her feelings mix in with her duties. It was ticking him off to be honest, not because he was jealous of the new comer 'Quincy' but rather because the new comer is safe. He can easily worm his way back into a normal life unlike the rest of them who'd probably get caught the moment they try to do so. David quite liked his normal life, he was a semester away from a college degree, he had a pain in the ass best friend who he could count on, and he was invited to almost every party. But now that was all gone.

He looked out the window as Jess pulled the car into the driveway of what seemed to be a cabin villa. Cabins were nice, not quite David's taste though, but still nice. Besides, there was no room for him to be picky in their present situation. The fact that they have somewhere they could lodge, at least for now, was satisfying enough.
"You two would look great together. We're here, leave the things in the back. Everyone inside," Jess said with amusement evident in her tone, before getting off the vehicle and making her way to the cabin. David followed suit and clamored out of the SUV. He went around the back to pick up his duffel bag from the heap of stuff that people owned. After getting his things, which really just one bag in total--well, two bags if his laptop bag was counted--he went into the cabin. He heard Jess say that the owner was asleep, but that wasn't any of his concerns. If the man (or woman) was going to give them any trouble, they could easily take them out. They were members of Black Cat, not some freak show circus.

It was spacious, yes, but David couldn't help but wonder if they would all fit in there. The Butterfly began mentally counting the members who were with him in the SUV: Jess, Ria, new guy, Alex, Erika, Dakota and EV; then there were the four in the other vehicle: Anais, Dio, Charlotte and Mira. There were a total of twelve people. David climbed the steps after Ria--he didn't fail to notice how she had stomped up, but chose not make any remarks about it. He started counting the bedrooms that were available.
Seven. There were only seven bedrooms and twelve on them. Ten people would have to share rooms while two can slumber peacefully in a room of their own. He sighed. Sharing a room wasn't exactly something he was fond of. He could be an asshole and pick a room which only had one bed and be done, but no, it was better to let Jess decide how the rooming situation was going to go. As he made his way back downstairs, he passed by Ria and as he did, he paused. Without turning his head to look at her, he said, "Don't ever call me Davie." He then continued on his way and silently went back down the stairs.

Ichigeki0naoto.png

Jess stretched, walking up to the house. What a fun little family get together.

She heard Erika calling her, and jogged up to meet her, putting her finger on her lips.

"Sh," she reminded the girl, looking back at the SUV for a moment, tired. Kace was still sleeping, in theory, as he offered them an emergency space before going to sleep. Six bedrooms left to use. She would definitely get her own, and have Ria and Q together. Smirking at the thought, she looked up at Erika. "Sorry? Oh. You probably want someplace to sleep. Take a shower first while I get it worked out. There's some seven or eight bathrooms, so take your pick. I'll have some clothes ready when you're done. The showers are on the first floor, I think." Sitting down on the couch, she leaned back, thinking about what to do with Erika. She seemed to get along with Dakota. But then, maybe she could put Dakota with Alex just for fun.

"Oops. Must've slipped out," she said quietly, reaching the top floor and hurrying into the first bathroom she saw. She quickly stripped down, not bothering to look around the bathroom, before stepping into the cold shower. She turned the water on, and shivered as the icy liquid came out, making her stiffen in shock. Finally she turned it up a centimeter, to have boiling hot water rain down on her, as if Satan himself decided to come out of the faucet and lick her back. She shut off the water for a moment to recover, before standing back and turning the water on, testing it until it didn't have the potential to kill.

Letting out a sigh, more of a groan, she reached up for shampoo, and found Axe ANARCHY. Using it reluctantly, she instantly concluded the owner must have been a male lady killer. Her answer was... answered when someone opened up the door, looking around the room as if confused. He had dark black hair that looked almost blue in the light. His age was almost impossible to tell, anywhere in his twenties. Maybe even nineteen or thirty? Oh, yeah.

She fell to the bottom of the shower, shouting curses and commands. The guy's eyes sluggishly found her, and she realized he was quite blind.

"
Oh-" She said after a second. She got out, wrapping herself in a towel, and said quietly, almost sheepishly, "You own this place...?"

He took a few steps back, and let out a laugh, covering his eyes uselessly.

"
Sorry to startle you." His voice was youthful, making her believe him to be around twenty-three, or so. She clenched her teeth, opening the door to the bathroom, and pushing him out, shouting to Jess that there was some guy upstairs, before slamming the door closed so she could put her hair back up and relive the last few moments with pain and anger.

Erika came out of her seven minute shower, smelling like AXE. Running across the hall in her towel, she ended up in a bedroom, and slipped on grey jeans, a striped shirt, and a black jacket, belonging to the male owner. The clothes smelled like a strange mix between mint and earth, making her feel calm all of a sudden. She joined Jess downstairs, sitting down next to her, her head bobbing once as she almost fell asleep. Really? How pathetic. Not even nine o'clock. She was officially an adult.

Trying to stay awake, she was about to say something when Ria called something from upstairs, saying that someone was in the house. This alarmed her at first, until she remembered that they were sharing this space with someone else.

"Anyway, Jess, I'm tired. Was there someplace you want me to sleep for now?" She shifted her legs, more used to shorts than skinny jeans. She felt a pang of jealously that some guy could actually look good in these jeans. With even more horror, she wondered if these were regular jeans, and he was actually just smaller than her. "Ah... I was upstairs and saw a few rooms, but not twelve, I mean... Will I be sharing, or will we sleep wherever until the other four arrive? Car? Couch? Kitchen floor?"

tumblr_no1z1j31L01rs0zxko1_r1_500.jpg

Jess just looked up at the staircase when Ria complained of someone in the building. A door shut, probably meaning Kace went back to bed. And she didn't even get to think that much about where to put everyone.

"Uh," She looked up at Erika, trying to buy time. David, maybe? Ria! ...They wouldn't get any sleep if they were together. EV... maybe? Or Alex. Dakota wouldn't do well with a girl. Or David. Or Alex. Wait, he could be with EV. Which meant Erika could sleep with Alex, Dakota could sleep with EV, Ria could be with Q, and David... he could sleep alone. She wasn't sharing a room with
him. Then... once the others arrived, David could be with Anais and Dio, and Charlotte could be with Mira. Five rooms, with Kace and herself being alone. "You can sleep with Alex. First room on the left."

Alex walks up to the house with the full intention to rest, whether it'd be in the shower or in a bed, Alex was yearning. The Fox immediately goes upstairs once his feet step inside the door and he hops into the nearest unoccupied shower, ignoring all of the conversations that were happening between the owner of the house, Ria, Jess, Erika, etc. Alex just blitzes into the shower and runs the water, not even caring to take his clothes off until he was supremely doused. The clothes were a tad difficult to remove, but he worked them off eventually, being careful to move his right arm while taking off his shirt and jacket.

The soap stings Alex's wound as he scrubs the rag he found across his neck. The dried blood, although hard to get off, leaves Alex's body with a brown tone as it goes down the drain with the rest of the water. After the shower, Alex closes the shower door behind himself and leans on the toilet for a second or two, letting the water run down his face as he hangs his head over the toilet. After getting his nerves together, Alex grabs a towel, wraps it around his waist, and walks out of the bathroom and into the bed room across the hall, the first on the left. Once inside, Alex immediately walks over to the drawers and checks for clothes. After finding some loose-fitting clothes (supposedly house-wear), Alex slips them on as quick as he can and immediately lays down on the single bed in the room.

Alex was about to drift off whenever he hears the door open and somebody enter the room. Alex sits up and looks the figure in the eyes with a confused and upset look that gave the impression of "I
want to got to sleep.". The Fox suddenly realizes, however, that it was Erika. He quickly changes his expression to more of a sheepish sort of mood and lays back down in his bed, not even bothering to cover up. "Sorry, didn't realize it was you." Alex apologizes, keeping his head glued to the pillow.
