The sound of people shouting and laughing and having fun (without him!) wakes him up. His eyes are heavy and his body feels weak, so he tried to sleep again but goddamn!

"You guys are too damn loud!" Dio opened the window and yelled, then close it again before it gets too cold for him to handle. Feeling better after venting out his frustration of being forcibly woken up from his slumber, Dio make his way to the kitchen. There isn't much he could find last night, he is so worried about how long their food supply can last that he forgot to wear his glasses.

He found Anais and Charlotte in the kitchen, giving them the sexiest sleepy expression he could show and the loveliest good morning smile he could do.

"'Sup," He greeted. "Is there is anything to eat? Or cook?"

"I don't need a--" he started to say in response to Ria's dress comment, but was cut off as she grabbed onto his arms to try to pull him out, only to drop him back in all over again.

"You deserve it," she mumbled as she reached back in for a second round.

He totally did deserve it. But worth it.

Bracing himself a little better in case she dropped him again, he was glad when she got him out of the freezing snow only to become overbalanced, and before he knew it, he was going down in a whole different direction. His reflexes kicking in automatically, he caught his weight on his hands so he wouldn't land directly on top of her and rolled himself to his side. By that point he was pretty much laughing so hard he couldn't breathe.

"I think that's enough outdoor time for me," she stated from beside him, then pushed herself up and offered her hand.

Still laughing, he took it and let himself get pulled properly to his feet this time, his whole body shaking now with how cold he was. He totally was not ready for outdoor time to be over, but figured maybe he should change into real clothes first and maybe find some boots or something before coming back out for Fort Building: Attempt #2.0. He was about to ask Ria if she wanted to join him for that, but that's about when the zombie came out and...scolded them? Sort of? Like an awkward scold, in the kind of way a teacher's aide would scold students when they were trying to still look cool so the other kids wouldn't turn against them, but wanting to establish their 'in charge' roll at the same time. Q snickered at that.

"Q. Switch if we're online," he replied in response to being called guy. "And I don't nee--" he tried again to mention the clothes thing when the zombie brought up borrowing some from the owner, but then Jess wandered out and shot them an odd little salute before vanishing again, and right after that some other dude actually yelled at them from a window.

Q huffed out a shaky but exasperated sigh, a sheepish smile still on his face as he turned back towards Ria. "Oops. I take it people aren't morning people around here?"

She smirked, kicking a wave of snow at him before heading back into the house. She went to the bathroom, putting her hair up messily, and washing her face before heading back downstairs, and passing Erika's room, where Jess was talking.

Ria went back downstairs, going by Dakota and pausing, seeing blood on the coffee table. There was
blood on the coffee table.

She looked back up at Dakota, who didn't seem to have a care in the world, and grabbed the remote, turning the TV off. "
Be useful," she said firmly. She was just running out of things to do, and wanted someone to "play" with, but Dakota curled up and closed his eyes, probably waiting for her to leave. The girl went to the kitchen, seeing Anais, Dio, and Charlotte.

Feeling that she owed them a greeting, but not wanting to talk to them, she mumbled out, "
Snow's nice," as a opposed to, "We're having just wonderful weather!"

The girl opened the fridge to find cans- who put cans in the fridge?- as well as fresh ingredients she didn't want to try to name. Her eyes fell on a can of applesauce, and she grabbed it, quickly finding the can opener, popping the can's lid off and bringing it to her lips, downing it in just a few moments. She was quickly glad it was refrigerated, as it was pleasantly cold, instead of being room temperature.

Ria wiped her lips and tossed the can away, looking around the kitchen, appearing to not even notice the others aside from her initial greeting, but found nothing laying out on the counter. She flung open a cabinet after another, pausing when she found a bottle of wine. The girl grabbed a knife from the drawer, making her way around nicely, and plunged it into the cork, twisting it to get it open.

This natural disaster called Ria occurred in no more than two minutes, between her arrival and this moment.

The teen climbed onto the table and sat down, deciding the chairs were unworthy, and brought the alcohol to her mouth, taking a brave swallow, only to yank it from her lips, looking like she'd just gone through the Scream Extractor from Monsters Inc. Her eyes traveled to a cup of sugar in the middle of the table, and she emptied close to the entire thing into the bottle's narrow opening, shaking it up after doing so, now much less enthusiastic about the whole thing.

With her breakfast prepared, Anais hopped onto one of the counters and began eating, not bothering to move to the dining room and making sure her six was pretty much covered as well. The sound of laughter from outside had Anais smiling slightly behind her spoon. At least people were trying to have fun despite their unfortunate situation.

The redhead glanced at Charlotte when she commented about the snow, eyebrows raising when she saw the younger woman's discomfort. Tucking that information into the deep recess of her mind, she took a moment to contemplate Charlotte's question.
"I think the best thing we can-" She cut herself off momentarily as Jess entered the kitchen and left just as quickly, eyebrows raising at the abruptness of their leader's actions, but made no move to comment on it. Instead, she continued, "-do is to get out of the state, possibly even the country, but ..." Trailing off, she shrugged. Honestly, if the Fox had it her way, she'd be halfway across the world already.

Anais looked up at Dio when he came in with a greeting, mumbling a greeting around the spoon in her mouth before taking it out,
"You'll have to make your own-" The whirlwind that was Ria came into the kitchen, interrupting her.

Eyebrows furrowing as she saw the kid start on a bottle of wine, Anais jolted slightly forward when Ria took a swig of the bottle then add sugar to the whole bottle.
"Should you be drinking?" She couldn't help but ask.

Q ducked back as Ria kicked more snow at him before she disappeared into the house. He followed after her, but stopped when he reached the zombie in the doorway. "Hey, I don't want to be rude by not talking with you right now, but I'm fucking freezing." His point was punctuated as a violent shiver ran through his entire body. "I'm going to change, but maybe we can hang out after that? Because I actually really want to. As long as you don't try to eat my brain or anything."

He chuckled at his own joke and shuffled inside, kicking off his sopping wet sneakers so he wouldn't leave wet prints across the nice hardwood. Fuck, his feet were cold! He should've put socks on. Live and learn, he supposed.

Shivering horribly now, he made his way upstairs and snatched up some of the clothing items that had spilled out of his bag earlier when he'd yanked his jacket out. He'd only packed some simple things for his move, t-shirts and jeans, socks, underwear, but nothing warm. Maybe he'd toss his pajamas and the sweater he was wearing the day before into the wash and leave them in the dryer extra long so they'd be warm later on.

As he was headed towards the bathroom to get himself ready for the day, he nearly ran into a man he hadn't seen before coming out of one of the rooms.

"Oh, sorry," he apologized quickly, noticing the emptiness in the man's eyes. "Is this your house? It's an awesome house."

"It is, thank you," the blind man replied with a slight smile. He lifted his head a little, seemingly sniffing at the air slightly. "Hmm. Smells like wet flannel."

Q looked down at his pajama pants. "Oh, yeah, I was out in the snow earlier. I wasn't exactly...prepared. It was way fun though. I'm going to go back out later. Probably. So I'm kind of glad I ran into you because I wanted to see if you had any--"

"--I live in a cabin in the woods in the mountains. Yes, I have snow gear," the man smirked. "There's a bunch of stuff in a storage bin in the garage if you want."

"Can I have the bin, too?" Q blurted out unthinkingly, like he did sometimes. He scratched at the back of his head sheepishly. "Borrow it, I mean. For, uh, bins are good for making snow bricks."

The house owner simply shrugged. "Do what you want. Just clean up when you're done. Now, if you'll excuse me..."

"Q," Switch introduced himself.

"Nice to make your acquaintance, Q. You can call me Kace." With that, he meandered down the hall to what Q thought was an office and shut the door. Seemed like an okay guy, if not a little soft-spoken (not that Q could judge, what with his complete inability to talk to anyone of the opposite sex at all, and had a habit of rambling weird shit to guys he didn't know).

Feeling pretty pleased that he could still go make his fort later without freezing to death, he scampered off to the shower and blasted himself with warm water for a little bit. After his shower, and feeling much better about life now that he was in warm, dry clothes, he snatched up his bag and carried it with him down the stairs to the living room where he plopped down on the opposite side of where the flirty guy from the car was sitting.

"Hi!" Q exclaimed as he pulled out Tink, his little rose gold Macbook. Where the hell were his headphones? Ah, they must've fallen out of his side pouch somewhere. He hadn't zipped it up as he'd come down the stairs. Oh well, they were just earbuds. He'd find them later. "I'm Q, or Switch if we're online or on comms for whatever reason." He opened up the laptop and began checking through his various email accounts. Aish, it'd been over a day. He was swamped with messages! Maybe he wouldn't sort through them yet. He was on vacation. Sort of. He could worry about that later. There were important anime episodes he needed to catch up on first. He glanced at the big screen in front of him, then back down at his little eleven-incher. "Hey, you mind if I hijack the screen for a little bit? Anime's better when it's huge and in your face."

Charlotte noted Anais's vague answer with a nod. She had expected a more specific response though she couldn't exactly ask Anais to make her answer more exciting. She was about to ask about what she'd miss after leaving but was interrupted when a certain girl rushed in, mentioning -of course- snow. Ria had obviously joined Q in the snow, evidenced by her hair and clothes. Charlotte watched with amusement and mild fascination as Ria basically ransacked the kitchen before pulling out, to her surprise, a bottle of wine. She started to open her mouth but closed it abruptly when the former began to pour sugar into it. Brash and bold, just the way Ria did things. Personally, Charlotte wasn't particularly fond of drinking in the mornings but whatever suited Ria was her business. Still, she couldn't help but feel she should scold Ria, as someone older and more experienced (probably). While she was debating about commenting on the endeavor, Anais beat her to it with a concerned question. "You should save some for the rest of us, Ria," she piped in jokingly, eyeing the bottle and girl before turning her attention to Dio.

She decided to finish where Anais was cut off when answering Dio. He had probably just woken up but was already trying to be charming. She had to admit he never seemed to give up.
"Kitchen seems pretty stocked. Just grab whatever you want," she replied, realizing at the same time she had finished her breakfast. She left her seat and began to walk over to the sink. "Oh and good morning. Nice PJs," she added. Huh, maybe pajamas were more comfortable. She proceeded to wash her bowl and spoon quickly, placing them back in their proper places afterwards. She didn't want to leave her dirty dishes in the sink for the owner to clean up. It was more evidence of her presence here. After finishing, she went back to her seat and flipped her sketchbook to a fresh page, starting to draw the sky as she listened to the conversations happening around her. Whenever she didn't know what to draw, she always started with the sun or sky.

Erika's eyes opened suddenly, and she rolled over to face Jess, bringing her hand to her hair.

Which was, as she ran her hand through it, incredibly messy, even for just waking up.

The girl was immediately put into an adorably angry mood, and raised her leg, kicking Jess off her bed roughly. After a few seconds of tired thought, she seemed to come to, and nervously giggled, crouching down by the leader to help her up.

"Just... just playing around, Boss."

Erika reached for the woman's arm and pulled her up, unwilling to make eye contact. She seemed to notice her surroundings, and sighed. Just a little longer, and things could go back to the way they used to be.

Not wanting to be scolded, Erika quickly apologized, saying she wanted to make breakfast for everyone.

She went downstairs to see Alex shout something, and Ria come in soon after.

"Wouldn't want them to get cold," Erika said, just loud enough for Alex to hear. She quickly followed Ria back into the kitchen, her eyes falling on the bottle. Without a moment's thought, the girl grabbed the bottle away and went to the sink, dumping it out until even the wet clumps of sugar at the bottom were gone.

She spun around to face Ria. She didn't like the thought of her drinking, as she was born to a family largely involved in the law enforcement. Or, anyone under the age of twenty-one doing so without a reason to celebrate. She was eighteen but... Then again, she cared way too much about the law to have her friends break them.

What a stupid idea to have.

Erika said firmly, swishing the pathetic last few drops of alcohol in the bottle, "You can start with this much, and move up to spoonful when you turn twenty-one. Alright?" Her eyes were strict, but held the message,
I'm trying to help you, Ria.

Or maybe she just needed someone to be angry at right now.

She reached down for the bottle, and felt empty space. After patting around the area, she looked up, her eyes daggers as she watched the girl wash down her bottle..

"
Erika," she threatened, swatting the bottle away, "You're pushing your luck."

She stepped down from the counter, saying in a calmer voice, "
What do you want to eat? Cereal? Applesauce? Tuna?" She understood why she did it, so she wasn't upset. She went to the fridge, pulling out a variety of ingredients and setting them on the counter. She set a few things off to the side, such as oyster sauce, a package of shrimp, and some things she didn't like.

Ria was only aware of Q's allergies, but nothing else had come up in her long time helping BC.

She started as a Bug when she was sixteen, actually. Since then, she hadn't seen her dad, who fell into his own grief after the hit and run. He just wasn't... The more she thought about it, the more she wondered why he hadn't called her in as a runaway.

"
Love, can you help me make something? I've had bugger all to eat today." She grabbed a knife from the drawer, placing a couple of potatoes on the cutting mat, and beginning to clean and cut them, not really minding whether Erika helped or not.

Jess was thrown off the bed before she could comprehend what was happening. Erika helped her up, making up an excuse, and left with a swift apology, and not much else.

"
Rude," Jess chuckled, feeling a bit dizzy from the interaction. She checked the clock, finding it to be time to make sure everyone was awake. Downstairs, she'd seen Charlotte, Q, Ria, Alex, Dakota, and Anais. She went to the staircase, hearing Dio down there as well.

That left David. And why wasn't EV back yet?

She knocked on David's door just a few seconds before opening it, and saying gently, her eyes scanning the room for him, "
It's nine o'clock. Remember?" Her voice was gentle and cheerful, perhaps finally at ease after coming to a conclusion about who did it.

"
It's time to wake up."

Erika began chuckling at first, when she said, "tuna." But when Ria got to, "bugger all," she couldn't compose herself, and crouched down on the floor, hugging herself in a dramatic display of amusement. She said in a voice that resembled Oliver Twist on crack, [1] "I'd rather naht have tew-nuh so e-aly in the moh-ning." She couldn't breathe at her own voice acting, and gasped out, [2] "I, too, have had bugga' ahll to eaht th-es moh-ning. Bugga' ahll." Standing up and laughing softly, she grabbed an egg carton and began cracking them into a bowl, before she saw a group of ingredients set off to the side for her to use, though she thought it was a little too much seafood. She washed her hands and mixed in the sauce, as well as the chopped bits of shrimp, leaving the rest out.

After Ria was done with the potatoes, she dropped them into the bowl, and placed a skillet on the stove, dumping the bowl's contents in soon after.

She sat down in a kitchen chair, going to let Ria handle it.

(OOC: I realize how atrocious that was, but that's how she pronounced them. It deserves translation.)

The most annoying thing about his insomnia was the fact that not only did it not let him sleep when he wished to, but it also let him rest when he was least expecting it. After showing Ana to a room last night, David wandered about and explored the rest of the cabin home. There really wasn't as much to it as he had originally thought at first glance. Sometime during the evening, he found a recreation room with some sofas and a foosball table. He remembers inspecting the Foosball table and then sitting himself on the sofa, after that it was just blank. David had fallen asleep despite him thinking that he wouldn't be able to sleep that night. Insomnia was a bitch.

Needless to say, David was not in a pleasant mood when the rays of the morning sun seeped into through the window panes and woke him up from his unexpected slumber. He felt his eyes sting and quickly realised what had happened. David immediately bolted to the nearest empty bathroom and assess the damage in the mirror.
"Merde,[1]" he cursed under his breath at the sight of him. His eyes were both bloodshot from falling asleep with his contacts on. As much as he wanted to remove the damn things that were irritating his eyes, David found that he couldn't. He didn't have the case of them with him. With long and urgent strides, he went to the room he shared with Dio. He didn't care to notice that it was already devoid of its inhabitant as he went to where he left his things and grabbed what he needed: the container for his contacts, the formula, and his glasses. With the items in hand, David went back into the bathroom to freshen up. He put on his glasses once he was done. Contacts weren't an option for him, not for the day at least; he owed his eyes a break.

Feeling a lot better, he went back to his designated room and placed his things back where they belonged. As he was doing so, he heard a knock on the door which immediately drew his attention to the doorway. The door flung open a few seconds after and in came Jess.
"It's nine o'clock. Remember? It's time to wake up," she said in a gentle and rather cheery voice. For a few seconds, David merely blinked at his leader. He didn't realise how late it was. How long was he asleep for? The question was quickly dropped from his mind when it finally registered in him how Jess seemed in a better mood that the night before. Looks like sleeping did her good. He smiled at her. "Already awake. Just fixing up some things. I'll be downstairs in just a few."

She smirked, never looking at the girl until she went to scramble the eggs. She said in an over-the-top valley girl voice, "Oh moy gawd. I was thinking. Hey, Erikuh, is it okay if I call you Akir-eh? It's like Erika but backwards. I think Akire is totally sweet. It's like that rad pop singer from the radi-eh. After everyone eats, we can, like, go find some guns to clean while we sing the national anthem and grill hot dawgs for lunch." Her words were based off of her knowledge of the Simpsons, Independence Day, and American high school 80's and 90's movies. She cringed at her own words, and quickly turned off the stove, dividing the eggs into equal parts. She then piled the eggs onto several plates for everyone, spinning around to face Erika with a cocky smirk.

"
Hey... So, I did good, didn't I?' Her smart ass expression begged Erika to say otherwise so she could "try" to do better on the imitation thing.

Jess found David, a bit tense in the silence.
That's too adorable. She turned away quickly, placing a hand over her mouth. "Cute," she whispered. A bit louder, she said, "You should wear them more often. They look nice." After a few seconds of silence, she nodded to his last statement, and hurried downstairs, passing by the two boys. In the kitchen, she saw packages of shrimp in the open trash can, and a pan full of eggs and potatoes. She was about to say something, but saw Ria was the one preparing things. She knew about Q's allergies, and probably prepared a separate plate.

Jess grabbed a paper plate full of food, and took it to the "island" table in the middle of the kitchen. Sitting down, she felt her legs sting, and was reminded once more. Around this time, she started thinking about the spy, and the possible impact, her eyes sharp and focused.

Dakota snapped out of his state of movie watching. Q sat down on the couch, and Dakota sat up straight, a bit surprised at the sudden company. He grinned at the little kid, shaking his head. "I don't mind. You can do whatcha want." In fact, he liked anime, but his experiences with it went no deeper than One Piece, Naruto, InuYasha, and Bleach. He hadn't watched any at all in the past three years, except for popular clips and videos of the best moments in comedy anime. The most popular ones, he hadn't enjoyed, but it kind of gave him the impression that lesser known ones would be worse. Except InuYasha.

That was a work of art.

He probably wouldn't recognize the name, but asked anyway, "What did you plan on watching?"

The boy sank into the couch, looking over at Q lazily.

But then, everything he did was lazy. He was a very lazy person.

Online? What the hell was this kid- Q- talking about? Alex decides that he will simply call him Q and completely denounce the idea of calling him "Switch". Alex was about to say something to him, but before he can speak, Q mentions hanging out later. Now, Alex has nothing against Q, not even as much as a splinter of anger, but in no means is he desiring to hang out with Q- or anyone, for that matter. "Well, actually-" Alex suddenly stops. Be nice. "... Actually I would enjoy talking to someone." Alex says, masking his real answer with non-emotional face.

Alex closes the door, seeing as everyone was inside, and walks to the kitchen. Inside, several people were making breakfast and talking to each other. Alex comes in just in time to hear Erika babbling away in some sort of strange accent that confused The Fox greatly. "Are.... Are you OK?" Alex asks looking towards the girl who was (probably) undergoing an aneurysm.
She's probably fine. Alex thinks, shaking his head as he walks over to a small section of cabinets. The Fox begins scavenging the cabinets for any food whatsoever, stopping only when he comes across a single pack of Ramen noodles. "Goody." Alex says to himself, pulling out the pack and opening it, he honestly couldn't be bothered to eat it the right way. So Alex begins to eat it dry, the noodles crunching every time he chews.

Making his way to the living room, Alex has already chewed and swallowed a good quarter of the block of un-cooked noodles. Alex sits silently in between Q and Dakota, anime playing on the TV. Although Alex dislikes anime, he doesn't really care what's playing, just as long as it's not the screams of some guy being killed.

Q smiled as he dug around in the bottom of his pack for Sonic, his little signal booster/blocker/hijacker box, and set it on the table. "Second season of Attack on Titan is finally out," he grinned, punching a few keys into Tink until her screen was displayed on the big screen in front of the couch. "It took for fucking ever."

He began to explain to the guy (who hadn't bothered to tell him his name, but that was cool, he'd find out from someone else or just whenever the dude felt like introducing himself) what the first season was about as the opening sequence began to play, becoming partially distracted by the smell of eggs cooking. God, it smelled good. His one little banana that morning really wasn't enough, considering he hadn't eaten much since lunch the day before. Maybe he'd meander in there after the episode was over to see what was up with the food situation.

They had just settled in to really start watching when the zombie strolled past them into the kitchen and returned a moment later munching on dry ramen. Q cringed a little at that, but refrained this time from going on his ramen rant. He was finally hanging with the guys; he kind of wanted to fit in somewhat. That meant nooooo weird ramen rants.

And maybe stop referring to the guy as 'the zombie?'

Right. Yes. That would probably be a good start. He was about to formally ask what the zombie's name was when gory, violent deaths started happening onscreen (as they tended to do with that particular series) and he noticed the zombie's face looking a little...he was going to go with 'displeased.' Maybe the zombie did not like Q's preference of graphically violent anime.

"Uhhhh, maybe we can finish this later," he offered, pausing the screen and setting Tink on the coffee table. "Whatever they're cooking in there smells good, and I'm kind of starving."

Yes, that was successful guy hanging time. For all of ten minutes. Good job.

He really needed to stop fleeing the scene or trying to turn himself invisible whenever he felt like he was messing up in front of people. This wasn't going to make him any friends any time soon. Except Ria. She didn't seem to mind his awkwardness....which was why she was quickly becoming his go-to person to seek out when he didn't know what to do with himself otherwise.

Grabbing up his pack again, he excused himself and scurried into the kitchen, pausing a bit awkwardly in the doorway when he realized he was going to have to mingle with mostly girls, two of which he hadn't even really seen because they'd been in the other car the night before.

Don't freak out.

Sucking in a breath, he kept his head ducked in the shy habit of his that he couldn't quite break, shuffled to the end of the island table, and took a seat on the stool there where he quietly set his pack on the floor below him. He smiled up at Jess, then smiled bigger as a plate was slid in front of him, courtesy of Ria. Awesome.

"So, um, I ran into that Kace guy upstairs," he mentioned as he was eating, trying to address the room at large, but really only talking to Ria and shooting little glances at Jess, the only two people in the room he was actually comfortable with at the moment. But, hey, progress! At least he was actually talking today! "He said there's some stuff we can wear in the garage for the, um, you know, the snow and shit? I'm going to go back out after I finish this...if anyone wants to come--"

Play with me? You can't say that.

"...join me?"

There. Yes. That sounded less childish. And good on him for instigating invitations to be social! Maybe he could master this whole adulting and making friends in the workplace thing after all.

Proud of himself, he smirked slightly as he finished shoveling eggs into his mouth. They were good, with like, stuff inside of them, stuff besides just eggs. He'd have to ask Ria what she put in them later to make them taste so good, but at the moment, he had a garage to raid for winter clothes to put over his own, a bin to steel, and a snow fort to build!

You can go mess around on your own..." Her voice trailed off, seeing his sheepish demeanor. This angered her, knowing he could do better, and made her sad for him, a little. She carefully walked behind him, as if leaving the kitchen, before turning towards him to pin his arms behind his back.

How practical.

She then reached over his shoulder to wrap her arm around his chest, making it look more like an attempt to take a hostage than an introduction.

"
Guuuys, this is Q. Be nice to Q. Q doesn't know any better, so you'll have to make the first move, as I've demonstrated." She patted his chest for reference. "Q is a very simple boy. He just wants human companionship and to watch some decent anime. Switch is friend, not food." Ending the grand introduction with a Finding Nemo reference, she let go of him, taking a few steps back in case he were to turn around or make a getaway.

Her smile faded, suddenly very aware of what she did.

The thing was, Ria was the black sheep, feeling more British than Japanese or American. Most of the rest of her family looked down upon affection, especially around others. If she so much as tried to hug another family member, they would freeze, similar to trying to hug a surfboard.

While it was becoming more accepted to have physical contact in Eastern Asian, it was still taboo to many.

His involvement had been shown earlier, but...

She suddenly laughed, bringing her arm behind her neck in a stretching motion.

"
Just messing around, Q."

Q tensed up for a second as Ria latched onto him, but this time it was more because he was startled by having his arms suddenly pinned behind him than anything else. Agh, after dropping him in the snow and pulling his feet out from under him, now she was ahead. That wasn't fair. He'd have to get back at her somehow later so he could catch up (too bad she wasn't coming back out to play with him; that would be an epic snowball fight to end all snowball fights!). At the moment though she was making introductions for him, which was actually fine because it meant he could stop awkwardly trying to stumble through it with everyone himself.

Wait, did she just refer to him as a cartoon fish? What?

He snorted, nearly choking on the last bit of food in his mouth as Ria let go of him.

"Just messing around, Q."

"Jerk!" he spouted as he pushed himself away from the table and jumped forward to muss his hands through her hair. Oh god, now it was a mess. Haha! There. That would teach her! And now he was one point closer to being even. And he'd probably have to watch his back for awhile if he wanted it to stay that way, especially since they were rooming together.

Worth it.

Laughing, he hopped back several steps, grinning at the room at large. "I. Am going outside now. If anyone wants to learn how to build a snow fort, that is what I'll be doing."

Remembering his shoes were by the front door (which he needed to at least get to the garage where he'd hopefully find boots that fit him), he skipped out in that direction to snatch them up, telling the two guys were still on the couch what he was doing if they wanted to join him (clearly starting to feel much more relaxed in everyone's presence now that he was realizing they actually weren't going to eat him alive, especially since the tension from the day before had pretty much bled out of everyone for the time being). Instead of going straight out front to head to the garage though, he remembered his manners and scampered back through the kitchen towards the back door.

"Thanks for breakfast, Ria. It was really good," he grinned, wrapping his arm loosely around her shoulder in a quick hug before he continued on his way past. "If you want to go for Round Two, you know where to find me."

"You should wear them more often. They look nice." David simply smiled at the statement and said nothing as Jess left. If it were up to him, he wouldn't be wearing contacts at all--well, maybe he would, but certainly not at all times. Wearing glasses provided him with an odd sense of comfort. It was like him putting his walls down and baring his raw self to the world. The thought of it should scare him, yet it doesn't. Maybe he's just tired of being trying to be the perfect child that his parents wanted. He slipped his feet into his shoes and started lacing them up as he continued with his train of thought. Perfection. Never before has David thought himself of perfect. He knew he was a flawed being, there was no doubt about it. Flaws were what made him human.

Deeming himself presentable enough to go out--not really since he was wearing his glasses--David left the room and headed downstairs to the kitchen where he assumed everyone would have headed off to to grab some breakfast. He'd arrived by doorway, just in time to hear Ria introduce the new kid. Apparently, he was called either Q or Switch. David assumed both were nicknames, though how they came to be is a mystery to him. Quincy, the name from before suddenly popped back into his head. Maybe that was the guy's real name? Somehow David doubted it though. In any case, at least he now knew what to call him other than 'new guy' or 'newbie'--not that he's openly called him that.

Paying no further attention to the bantering couple that was Ria and Q, David wordlessly slipped into the kitchen. As he did, he heard Q declaring to everyone how he was off to build a snow fort. It took a shit ton of his willpower resist rolling his eyes and scoffing at the statement.
What does he think this is, some sort of vacation? He made a beeline to the where the bread was stored and found himself a bagel. Although David was fully aware that they'd already prepared food for what seemed like everyone, he purposely chose to ignore it. He wasn't in the mood for anything other than bread--and some cream cheese which he fished out of the fridge, shortly after finding a bagel. With his food in hand, David went over to where Jess was. "Mind if I join you?"

Other:
@Der Eine, tagging you too since y'know, it's kinda like a team meeting of sorts

Tearing her gaze from Charlotte and Dio, Anais watched as Erika entered the kitchen. A frown tugged at her mouth as the wine Ria had been drinking go down the drain. Welp, there goes the wine. Should have just taken it and not wasted it.

Finishing her own breakfast, Anais hopped from her perch on the counter and made her way to the sink, barely paying Ria and Erika any attention as she washed the bowl and her spoon, instead taking a mental headcount. Charlotte, Dio, Ria, Erika are in the kitchen with her. She's fairly certain that that was Jess who just entered, followed by Alex who left just as quickly. There were unfamiliar footsteps after Alex left, making the redhead turn her head enough to see who it was.
Ah, the new kid. Anais made a quiet, thoughtful noise from the back of her throat. That makes eight including her, and isn't Dakota in the living room. That's nine then.

As she set her bowl on the drying rack, there was talk about snow forts before Ria introduced the kid. Q. What a peculiar name. Anais wondered what it was short for. Just as she was about to ask, Q declared his intention of going outside. Seriously, who's running this organization? She was about to ask why Q was recruited - it wasn't rude to ask after all, she was just curious - when David came in.

Then there was ten. That made Anais frown in thought. She's certain that she's missing a few people... Oh right, Ellis was not accounted for, and EV and Mira as well. So the majority of the team is currently inside the kitchen. No better time to ask what they should do next then. Turning on her heel, she leaned back on the counter and crossed her arms, "Okay, hold up." She pointedly glanced at Q who was making his way out to the door, "Let's be serious for one second."

Keeping her gaze open and neutral, she glanced at each Black Cat member before turning her attention completely to Jess. She would have waited for someone else to ask, but she really wanted to get going. They were too close to the city to just stay there, so she asked, tone clipped and firm,
"What's our next plan?"

She cried out in the fakest angry mom-way possible, like she was humoring a kid that had just pulled bopped her nose for a reaction. She watched him saunter off before returning for a hug, which aroused a low laugh from her. It was, admittedly, already very messy, so she wasn't mad. Not that she could be. After fixing her hair, she turned back to the adults(they were, technically all adults, but not all of them were kids- well, anyway, point made). She listened to the conversation between Jess and David, grinning. This could totally work out.

The girl was, however, genuinely curious for Jess's response to his and Anais's question, though more for the former.

Jess seemed at first flippant, then uncertain. Finally, she began with, "
No... that's fine, David." Her voice was serious, before becoming almost child-like, and hopeful. "...I was just thinking we could stay here for a few more days. Its not too bad, is it? And as long as we're safe, and together, nothing's wrong. As soon as we have the headquarters relocated, meaning all the Bugs are out, we can get new IDs and EV can change our appearances. We can borrow one of Kace's vehicles, and move to a different city. It might turn out to be a good thing, since they're looking for completely different people than what we could become." She suddenly stopped. Her eyes locked onto someone, but she didn't have time to follow her gaze.

tumblr_n8ib33PFMb1rtfqu0o1_500.gif

Jess noticed Ria's exchange, with a sense of almost pride, and complete sense of content. Closer to her, David asked to join her. She hung on every simple word, before she responded with, "No... That's fine, David." To him, she quietly asked, "
Can I talk to you later?" She was a grown woman. It would be nothing.

For a moment after hearing Anais's question, her eyes locked on someone, her gaze solid and emotionless. After this, her eyes fell on Anais, and she smiled kindly. She realized how careless this sounded, but didn't take it back, or reword it in any way.

Upon receiving Jess' permission, David sat himself on the stool across from their leader.
De ja vu, he thought as he recalled their short interaction in the kitchen the night before. He caught Jess' quiet request, asking to talk to later, and whispered back a response, "Of course." Before his mind could begin to contemplate on what Jess would want to talk about with him, Anais spoke up and raised a good question. "What's our next plan?"

He turned his head to the redhead Fox that just spoke. Truthfully, David was wondering that himself--what are they to do next? For a group that was supposedly on the run, everyone around him was acting pretty chill--especially the new kid who even said that he was going outside to build a snow fort.
A. Fucking. Snow. Fort. Was he even worried about getting caught? Right now, to him, it didn't seem like he did. Shoving the annoyance he felt at Q's very relaxed attitude towards their current situation aside, David turned back to the woman sitting before him. Jess was their leader, surely she had an answer to Ana's question.

"...I was just thinking we could stay here for a few more days. Its not too bad, is it? And as long as we're safe, and together, nothing's wrong." Except we have a traitor among our midst. "As soon as we have the headquarters relocated, meaning all the Bugs are out, we can get new IDs and EV can change our appearances. We can borrow one of Kace's vehicles, and move to a different city. It might turn out to be a good thing, since they're looking for completely different people than what we could become."

The plan wasn't awful, in fact, David found it to be sensible. A few more days of staying there would help them get their bearings together. It'd give them time to plan out where they'll be heading to next, work on their new identities. However, there was one thing that David was heavily worried about: the spy. Whoever it is, they might feed the authorities information; hell, he wouldn't be surprised if they already knew where they were. David was about to point this out, but thought against it. If the spy really was among those of them currently in the kitchen (which was the majority, save for Mira--shouldn't she be here considering her rank and the topic of discussion?--Dakota and EV), then it might be better the spy didn't know that they were cautious of him (or her). He decided to ask Jess about it later instead. Right now, Jess was the only one he trusted being their leader and whatnot... and maybe even Q. Despite what he thought of him based on his behaviour that morning, David had already reasoned with himself that he couldn't possibly be the spy.

"Sounds reasonable," he said with a nod. "How long is 'a few days' though exactly?"

Q froze in the doorway as one of the other girls he didn't really know told him to hold up, her tone sounding kind of annoyed. Slowly, he shut the door so he'd stop letting the cold air in and quietly leaned back against it as she turned to talk to Jess. Everyone was all serious all of a sudden. Right, because they were in a serious situation, and he was supposed to be serious too, wasn't he? Of course he was. But there he was, happy as a clam, running around like he was just a kid on winter vacation.

It kind of is.

It was though, for him. All he ever did was sit in his hole and perform hacks for people. He got out into the city to make drops and get food and just for some fresh air once in awhile, but this was the first time since he'd left his parents' home where he felt like he had some actual freedom to just do what he wanted without having to worry about anything. Someone else was in charge again, not him trying to fend for himself, and it was...nice. But inappropriate, he supposed. These guys had just been betrayed by one of their friends, and he was just some insensitive stranger standing outside of all that. Always on the outside. What was he even doing there? They should've just cut him free, left him behind. All he was doing was being obnoxious.

Nothing new.

Jess said they'd be there for a few days. Fine. Okay. A few days to kill. That'd be a few days where he should probably just stay out of the way and not pester anyone. Without waiting for the rest of the conversation, he reached behind him and opened the door again, sliding outside and heading towards the garage to find the snow clothes. Yes, he was still going to build his fort. Yes, it was childish and stupid, he realized, but now it was less about playing and more about having something constructive to do to keep himself busy. He didn't have a job to do and he didn't have anyone to ramble at about nothing in particular without getting on their nerves, so this was actually the best thing for him if he didn't want to drive himself or anyone else nuts. It was this or start even weirder shit like trying to upgrade the toaster oven. Switch just plain didn't do well with sitting still and quiet for too long, and sure, he supposed he could play video games or something, but he didn't see how that would be any less childish than building a fort. Besides, he was in the mood to actually be physically constructive; there was something innately satisfying about creating an actual object that could be seen and touched as opposed to just coding that few people appreciated.

Finding the bin of clothes, he pulled out a sweater, a thick coat, some water proof pants he could pull over his jeans, a pair of boots, and some mittens, then carefully placed the rest of the items over in a corner so he could take the bin with him. Scoping out the yard, he found a spot that looked nice and level, retrieved the shovel again, and began clearing out a circumference of snow where he would build his walls. This fort thing would keep him occupied for a good couple hours. Occupied and not being annoying. Then, when he was done, he'll have spent his anxious energy on something and could maybe talk to everyone like a normal human being.

Charlotte was growing uncomfortable as more BC members crowded in the kitchen, but David and Jess walking in together piqued her interest. Were they close friends beforehand or did this cabin have friendship-bracelet-like powers? Maybe she'd suddenly grow close with another BC member, though the thought of braiding hair and staying up late with someone made her inwardly shudder. Another thing she noticed was Q, the snow covered newbie, come in and almost immediately rush out again. Geez, he was like a hyperactive puppy. However, right before he had a chance to actually leave, Anais asked where they were headed next. Good ol' Anais, always focused. Charlotte knew there was a reason she liked her (besides her cat).

It might turn out to be a good thing, since they're looking for completely different people than what we could become."

This was definitely not the plan Charlotte expected. In her mind, Jess was supposed to be whipping out a map, throwing it onto the table, and using a meterstick to trace their path along the surface. They were supposed to be
moving. Preferably away from their old headquarters. Their new plan did neither and, truthfully, this made Charlotte uneasy. Relocating, the IDs, and changing their appearances...those were all good and fine. It was the part where they stayed at the cabin that didn't sit well with her. First, this cabin wasn't too far away from their original headquarters. Second, they were together, which could be an advantage or disadvantage. To Charlotte, cynical as ever, staying together just added to the risk of being found and arrested. The traitor, whoever they were, could very easily alert the authorities of their cabin location if motivated, and the entire BC organization would be done. Just like that. Boo. However, the blonde was also incredibly loyal to her leader and trusted her judgement immensely, so she kept her mouth shut and hoped for the best. The rest of Black Cat seemed to like the idea so maybe it was just her own thinking that was off. It was only a couple of days, a couple of days she could surely sulk through. She tried to reassure herself that everything would be alright though her head was yelling at her to see the bigger picture here.

As soon as Jess finished speaking, everyone seemed to visibly relax. "Sounds reasonable," she heard David say. "How long is 'a few days' though exactly?" She chimed in with
"Hopefully not too long." She didn't add anything else but her mind was still reeling at the thought of someone ratting out their location. As if the traitor hadn't done enough already.

Interaction: People in the kitchen, Jess (@Quarantine) specifically

There was a brief moment of regret shooting down Anais' spine, making her wince, before Jess responded. She shouldn't have asked with the rest of the team; should have asked Jess alone. If the traitor was in the room with them right now - there's a huge chance that they are - she practically just handed them the gun and laid out the silver platter for their heads.

"I was just thinking we could stay here for a few more days. It's not too bad, is it? And as long as we're safe, and together, nothing's wrong. As soon as we have the headquarters relocated..."

A few more days. Safe and together. Nothing's wrong. A. Few. More. Days. Safe. Together. Nothing. Wrong. The words kept ringing in Anais' head, each with varying amount of disbelief, as she slowly blinked at Jess, barely hearing the rest of her response. She can understand that they need to lay low for a bit before making the grand getaway, equipped with new identities and appearances. What she doesn't understand is how can they be safe and how there can be nothing wrong happening in the next few days they'll be laying low when the traitor was among them.

Upon hearing David's question and Charlotte's comment, Anais snapped back to attention, catching Q leaving the cabin. The disbelieving glint in her eyes shifted to a more curious glint as she regarded the people in the kitchen. Surely, most of them had false identities and hidden resources ready to be used. It was stupid not to have them, as any of them could be exposed at any given time - point in case. Even changing their appearances was easy enough. Dye, a pair of contact lenses, and maybe some spray tan, and they'd be all set. Their biggest challenge would be relocating the HQ and actually getting away without having the traitor squeal on them again. A small part of her mind whispered,
Hermione's jinx would be so useful right now.

Chewing on the corner of her bottom lip for a moment, the redhead pushed herself off the counter and stretched her arms upwards, yawning a bit. She then added her two cents to Charlotte's sentiment,
"Staying too close to the city will just end in trouble." A hand ran through her hair as she began to walk towards the living room, "On that note, I'm going to check the weapons in the car." Meaning she'd rather know how they can hold up against any opposing forces for when the traitor rats them out and they're forced to confront the authorities.

Anais entered the living room in no time, barely paying Dakota and Alex a glance as she walked past them, set on getting out to the cars. When she reached the front door, she grabbed a coat and a pair of boots from the entryway closet. She didn't want to go up and have to haul the contents of her suitcase out just to get her coat and snow boots. She was patient, but she had her off-days.

As she stepped out of the house, a frown immediately tugged at her mouth as she pulled the door close behind her. It was colder than she expected. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see the new kid - Q - actually digging in the snow. A snort escaped her mouth as she trudged towards their vehicles. He'd been serious about the snow fort. She had to hand it to him. He was making the best out of the snow and escaping the inevitable heavy tension in the cabin.

He sighed, taking out a bowl and spoon as his friends stroll inside the kitchen and started talking and flirting, whatever they are doing. Right now all Dio care about is the box of cereal and the milk carton. He sat on one of the empty chairs, enjoying his breakfast while listening to his friends discussing on what they need to do next.

Doesn't seem like a bad idea. The police haven't found the cabin whereabouts yet, probably thanks to the fact that Jess kept the location hidden from every one of them. Sure, the traitor could leak the information anytime he or she wants. Maybe after they got their hands on their exact coordinate. And before any of them could scream "Run!" an army of armed police will storm the building and cuff their hands. Dio sees what the police are capable of, they are becoming stronger and sharper these past few years. He watches as David, then slowly everyone, agrees with Ria's idea.

"You know," Dio chimed in. "I'm against staying this for a 'good few more days'"

He stirred his bowl of cereal. "A few years back, police stormed the compound, capture every leader and throw them all in the jail. That strong and feared gang was taken down, wiped out, in one morning. Having every single one of us in the cabin, with a traitor in our midst? No, i disagree. We should set a meeting place and a meeting, then set out tonight in a group of two then go hiding until the heat does down. I have a few... 'friends', who could transport us out of the country, if you want to."

She listened to everyone around her, each time becoming a bit more nervous at their correct accusations. Well, we were in the apartment for so long, and they had every reason to call us out then. There must be some reason they held back, so I can see Jess's reasoning. But then, they did decide to leak the information all of a sudden. Her mind fell back to Q, but she shook the thought away. He wasn't part of this anymore. At this point, she personally suspected- Oh what the hell. She didn't want it to be any of them.

As Jess began talking, she felt her heart freeze over.

They've pissed her off.

Jess didn't get pissed off, though. This was very unusual.

There must have been something in the eggs. Wait, she didn't eat them, now did she?

tumblr_naml0axOVR1rj5e35o2_500.gif

Jess waited for everyone to respond, and though they didn't say anything, she knew they were against it. When Dio spoke, she clenched her teeth before letting out a laugh that sounded so fake it almost hurt.

"Really? Is that really how you feel, Dio? Nice to know. You'd make good leader should you be elected in three years. But then, since my ideas are so bad, that one must be very wrong. Is that what you mean to say? Okay. We can leave tomorrow. However, I'm not particularly worried about who it is, because they had such a long time to do this." Her words were vague, and didn't imply that she knew yet, but she ruled out Q for a second time. To make it more clear, she ran a hand through her short hair and said bluntly, "They know who they are, I know who they are. You guys won't find out who it is, until its time." Her eyes inexplicably darted up at someone.

What she said made little sense, and was very much poor decision making. Her reasons were understandable, but she didn't say anything of the sort about why no one would find out until it was "time."

She looked up at Ria. She'd been with Ria longer than she'd been without a father, and this was untrue for many of the members. Seeing Ria's shocked face, she let out a genuine laugh, swinging her legs in her delight as she said gleefully, "See, I'm going to
kill them!" In the amount of silence that followed, she got up and briefly squeezed Ria into a hug. She whispered to the girl, "I'm so sorry," before leaving the kitchen as quickly as was appropriate, to escape the mess of people and go upstairs. She finally heard noise when she went up the stairs, from who she could not determine. She didn't slow down until getting to her bedroom, and locking the door.

It didn't take long for the others to give their responses on Jess' plan.
"Hopefully not too long," he heard Charlotte add to his query. David unconsciously nodded his head at this. It wasn't safe for someone who's on the run to remain stationary in one place for too long. There was also the fact that the cabin wasn't theirs, it belonged to someone else, someone who wasn't even a part of Black Cat. Staying for too long would put not only them, but the cabin's owner in danger as well. But if they left now, where would they go? Plus, there was still the matter of the traitor. As long as they were with whoever the rat was, they would stay at risk of being caught.

It seemed that the others had similar concerns as he did--similar in the sense that they all were worried about the 'staying for a few days' part of the plan.
"Staying too close to the city will just end in trouble," was Anais' response. She didn't directly say she was against the plan, but it was evident from her words that she wasn't a fan of it. Quickly after she said that, she excused herself from the room, saying that she was going to check the weaponry they bought along. David clenched his jaw at the implication that they would get stormed in by the police. It was a possibility, and one with a rather high probability all thanks to the traitor. I swear, when we find out who it is, I'm going to give them hell.

Sometime before Ana left, Q had apparently left as well. He hadn't even noticed the kid slip out of the room. The action should've raised suspicion to him, but in didn't due to having ruled out Q as the traitor since the ride to the cabin.
He's probably out there building a snow fort like he said he would, David thought just as another person raised their concerns. It was Dio this time. Unlike David's own 'silent disapproval and verbal approval' and Ana's 'indirect disapproval', Dio was blatant in his disapproval of the plan. "You know, I'm against staying this for a 'good few more days'" He then launched into a story about how police stormed a compound and captured took down a 'strong and feared' gang. David didn't know this was a story that Dio heard or read about somewhere, or if it was his past experiences arising. The male Fox then launched into suggesting a plan of his own, "Having every single one of us in the cabin, with a traitor in our midst? No, i disagree. We should set a meeting place and a meeting, then set out tonight in a group of two then go hiding until the heat does down. I have a few... 'friends', who could transport us out of the country, if you want to."

The plan was... well, truthfully David didn't like it all that much either. Leaving the country was a good idea, it was the 'setting a meeting place' part that he didn't like
at all. Setting a meeting place that the traitor would know sounds more risky than staying put. What if the traitor contacts the authorities and they ambush us at the meeting point? David was about to say what he thought of the idea when the woman across from him suddenly gave out what seemed to be a forced laughter. "Really? Is that really how you feel, Dio? Nice to know. You'd make good leader should you be elected in three years. But then, since my ideas are so bad, that one must be very wrong. Is that what you mean to say? Okay. We can leave tomorrow. However, I'm not particularly worried about who it is, because they had such a long time to do this."

Woah woah
woah. Hold up a moment. Was Jess angry? Did they really manage to piss her off? David stared at the girl with wide eyes. This genuinely surprised him. He's never seen Jess like this--well, last night was another Jess that he's never seen before, and now he was facing another Jess he's never seen.

"They know who they are, I know who they are. You guys won't find out who it is, until its time." David's shell-shocked expression morphed into a frown of confusion at the last statement. "Wha--" Before he could even finish voicing his question, Jess cut him off with another laugh, this time a lot less forced than the first. "See, I'm going to kill them!" she declared with glee. David remained silent, and so did the rest of them it seemed. Murder and death was nothing new to them, but murder and death never befell on the innocent--though technically, the spy wasn't all that innocent. The traitor deserved the ninth circle of hell.

Emerald eyes followed Jess as she got up and gave Ria a hug before leaving the room. As soon as she left, David ran a hand through his hair. "What the hell just happened," he said aloud. His eyes went back to where Jess had sat mere seconds ago. Somehow he felt rather guilty. He too thought that Jess' plan was a bit flawed. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw his forgotten bagel, seemingly untouched and without a single bite on it. It somehow fell from his grasp a while ago--David didn't know when exactly, probably when Jess reacted to Dio's suggestion. The blond looked at the pastry and sighed. He was no longer in the mood for food.
This is all that bastard traitor's fault.

Following their leader's suit, David got off from his chair and started to make his way out of the kitchen.
"I'm going to check up on Jess." he said as he stepped out and started to make his way upstairs--he assumed she went into one of the rooms, but which room. Trial and error he supposed. David moved to the first door to be tested and was about to grab the doorknob to open it, when a voice caught his attention. "She went in there," he said while pointing at one of the rooms... yet he wasn't looking straight at it, nor was he looking at him. A blond brow slowly went up as he looked at the man properly. Soon as he saw his eyes, the answer hit him. The man was blind. But if he was blind, then how was he able to point--wait a minute, how did he even know who he was looking for?

The man smiled, and as if he sensed David's unvoiced question, he answered, "This is my cabin, I've memorized it's layout by now and know where everything is even without seeing. I heard a set of footsteps entering that room. It sounded light, so I thought it was female."
Ah, so he didn't know it was Jess, only that it was a girl. David nodded at his answer and abruptly stopped doing so when he remembered how the man couldn't see him. He felt the need to face palm at his lapse of stupidity, but refrained himself from doing so. Instead, he thanked the man, "Thank you, Mr. ...?" "Kace. You can call me Kace." "Right. Thank you, Kace. I'm David by the way." The man nodded and vanished into one of the rooms, likely the one he was in before David came.

Back on track, David walked to the man pointed to and knocked on the door.
"Jess? You in there? Can I come in?"
