I am an Eternal Spring flowing under dirt.
Alex is suddenly thrown back into reality after comprehending what Erika said. The Fox rolls off of her and stands, holding a hand and helping Erika up. "So about that statue..." Alex says, walking over to the window and looking out it with the slightest hint of a smirk. It was funny, really, this was the friendliest he's ever been to anyone in a while. "I remember when I was young, I went to Arizona and got to operate on Chipawa Range, the...." Alex suddenly trails off in the middle of his anecdote, a realization striking him, She wouldn't like that story! Shooting guns wouldn't interest another person. The thought is sudden and stops him from continuing his story. The Fox scans the ground, thinking of a different story to tell.
"Oh! When I was young, I remember going with my mom to the Surplus Warehouse to find a vest.... for my.... mag-.... magazines." Alex's smile quickly turns into a full-blown frown and he begins to try and remember another story. Come on, such an eventful life and not even a single story of going on a family outing to Disney or what have you? Alex soon finds his place back on the floor in the form of sitting with his back against the bed, brows furrowed and hand to his head. "I-I don't have any stories..." The Fox says, flabbergasted. "My entire childhood was just guns and conflict. No sweet moments. No sappy moments. Nothing" Alex says quietly, the realization of a missing childhood dawning on him.
