Ellis Tahoma

That Guy

Ellis laughed at Jess' spoken words. "Your retracting 41 thousand dollars from my pay, so I'm not in debt. Your just getting rid of all the money I earn on this mission." Ellis spoke his words smart, but... Uh.. He clearly wasn't that smart, as he expected a great punishment. "Is that all or.. Should I shoot the gas tank?"

As he said that, he kept his Makarov pointed to where the gas tank should be. Hopefully. The bullet should shatter the tank and the friction should light it on fire and blow up the car. Of course, he didn't want to do that, but he might have too. "How much money am I getting for this mission.. Exactly?"

Dio Castle

@Quarantine @Der Eine @pandana @Nyxione @Thanatos [/i]

Hearing the name 'Alavarez' brings back unwanted memories. Dio met him once when he delivered a package of drugs to his compound, years before he joined the Black Cat. Despite all the horrible things he did, he is nice and kind to those close and loyal to him. Dio couldn't help but wondering whether he remembers his face or not. If he does, then maybe Dio should stay behind... or get close to him and takes him away somewhere quiet and let his friends do the dirty work.

He waved at Ria and smiled on the new recruit as Dio quietly followed his friends. He didn't pay much attention, and quickly climb inside the car and take a seat by the window. He took out a double sided coin- one that he usually use to fool people and trick them into making a bet with him- and tossed it into the air. He caught it with his right hand and slid it back into his pocket before tapping Jess in the shoulder.

"Boss? You should know that i met Alvarez several years ago, delivering some package. Should i get his attention? Should i drew a rough map of his compound?" Dio asked.

Jess looked towards him, absolutely fuming but covering it well.

She spoke calmly, "Perhaps I should have worded it better. You have three options. Fire the gun in this car one more time and I won't pay you the next forty-one thousand dollars you earn. If you quit, you can leave the apartment, which I currently pay for, and I'll have either Ria or Q, a new member, hack into your bank account and remove enough money to pay for the car if not all of it. Any non-digital money will be confiscated as well." She clearly wasn't worried about the destruction of the car at this point, but rather his argument with her. "You can get out of the car and leave, which means you won't get the immediate three thousand dollars offered. Or, you can put the firearm on safety and away securely, and shoot all you want as soon as it is required, along with the money reward. I know the reasonable decision, but your past choices haven't proven to be very reasonable."

She stared at him, incredibly stressed out by having her authority challenged, but glad that she said it.

Dio entered the car, unaware of the current argument.

"That's not necessary," she told Dio, relaxing. "Most of us know him well, and I wanted you to stay in the car so someone can drive if something goes wrong. Alright?"

To say Alex wasn't furious would be a fraudulent satement. He was a raging inferno by this point, mostly because he was the one scolded while Ellis ran his mouth however he wanted, it sickened the Fox to his stomach. The SUV pulls out smoothly as Alex heeds Jess' orders to drive. The shooter listens as Jess talks to Ellis, feeling better and better with every word she says, justice was a drug for Alex, it was a small pleasure for Alex but with great consequences.

"Can you please stop waving that thing around?" Alex says, rubbing his templr with one hand while holding onto the steering wheel with the other. Deciding that Ellis is just being a pain in the ass, he refuses to say anything about this horrendous behavior. A thought ran through Alex's mind as he came to a stop light,
Maybe I was rude to Erika. The Fox thinks it over a couple of times, all she did was laugh loudly, he must have been angry about Ellis and let it slide to her. I'll apollogize. But not now, not with all these people around.

Ellis sighed, safety-ing the gun and throwing it behind him, which ended up hitting the body bagged man. Hearing mumbles, Ellis looked behind him to find the body bagged man still alive. "Just die!" He yelled, pulling out his butterfly knife and throwing it at the bag, hopefully shutting the body bagged man up. "Christ."

"Well.. Glad to say that I'll have to traffic my money around constantly.. Cause now I know you'll just hunt down my cash." Ellis sighed again, before resting his head on the seat. "Rest in scetti, never forgetti."

Ellis, the weird haired psycho gun loving knife loving torture sadistic bastard fired a gun inside the car. Not just once- Bur four of five times. He mumbled something about the poor dude who won't die, something about blowing up the gas tank (!). Alex yelled something, Jess yelled too, Ellis stashing away his gun and poor Dio trying to control himself not to scream or to puke on one of his friends. He smelled something familiar- something that he hates so much- Blood?

"Staying inside the car with a body? Boss, don't tell me you forget about what i feared the most?!" Dio raised the tone of his voice, as he glared at Ellis. "Don't you fucking dare do anything to that body in the back- Or i swear god i'll break your neck right here right now, put you inside that bag and kick you outside with all my might."

Erika smiled nervously, feeling like she was in the car with savage animals. She pretended not to hear Alex's words or Jess's response, more for her own sake than anyone else. Go Jess... she thought halfheartedly, though she wasn't exactly mad at Alex for scolding her.

The girl sank into her seat, ignoring all the noise around her, and almost not noticing when Dio got in, as well as when Alex began driving.

She sat up to look out the car window as the scenery became less luxurious and more run down, which made her slightly uncomfortable. But then, everything did.

Something caught her attention, an unusual noise. Dio was yelling. She quickly said, before Ellis could respond, "Hey! Dio!" Her voice became almost friendly, "It's fine. We just got him to calm down. I'm sure we can dump the body once we get there." Feeling useless she said, expecting an angry reply, "Can I help you in any way? Just please don't get tha- don't make Ellis mad."

Ellis sighed, slowly pulling out a potato cleaner, and holding it up. "Dio. I will literally rip open up your rib cage and extract your lungs, only to replace them with the bagged guy back there." He played around with the potato cleaner. "But let me just tell you this." It was at this point that Ellis was right up in Dio's grill. "Ripped. Opened. Shocked. Petal filled. Milk poured. Sown together lungs don't feel that good in such a good body."

Ellis laughed, before going back to resting his head. "Don't get on my dark side." He said, with no eye contact, no eye contact with anyone but that what he could see in front of him.

Dio Castle

@Quarantine @Pyro @ZebraWolf

"Hey! Dio!" [/i]Erika called him, her voice sounded so soothing and relaxed that it actually calmed him down a bit. "It's fine. We just got him to calm down. I'm sure we can dump the body once we get there." Feeling useless she said, expecting an angry reply, "Can I help you in any way? Just please don't get tha- don't make Ellis mad."

Making Ellis mad is a bad idea, especially since they are inside a cramped car and are currently on a mission. So unprofessional, that Dio is slightly embarrassed for losing his composure. But then the guy, this fucking guy, just had to give him all the details on what he's going to do with his body- IF he could kill him. Yes, a big bold if right there. Dio glared at the psycho, playing with a potato cleaner and resting his head on the chair. Dio doesn't know how fast he could move, but Dio confident that he'll be able to break land a nose-breaking punch on that pretty face of his before he knew what hit him. One punch, that's all he wanted... But that one punch would open the gates of hell and cut his wages. Nu-uh. Unlike Ellis, Dio is sane.

"Whatever. I can just take the bus or taxi after we finished the job." Dio said as he slightly opened the window.

"Good job, open the window, fan out the dead body smell." Ellis said, putting the potato cleaner away and just started watching what he could in front of him. "I wanna guess that since Jess had her big mouth open, saying when I need to shoot, I guess I'll be shooting something on this mission?" He asked, taking a deep breath before looking behind him, viewing his Makarov sliding around.

"Man. Why did I have toss the damn thing." He mumbled to himself, a little ticked off, but at the same time excited for whatever was about to happen. Than he looked over at Erika, remembering her words. "No, I am going to be the one to bury the body, I did what I did to it and I should be responsible to be the only one to view it's arrival 6 feet under." Ellis continued. "I guess I should get rid of those other bodies." He sighed. "Looks like I'll be dumping bodies all week.." He mumbled to himself, before continuing to just view what was in front of him, no where else.

Mira had to excuse herself from Jess' room shortly after Annais and David joined them. She made sure to give the two a greeting and left Jess an assurance that the mission will be fine. After all, despite the distanced disposition the members had towards each other, Mira had confidence that everyone will be able to deliver. Then she exited Jess' room and entered hers and got out of the apartment building through the fire staircase outside her window. Why? Well, she was out to meet someone who preferred to live the 'high life' and by that this certain fellow's place was located on a nearby building's rooftop. So, she had to use the quickest route to get there since the mission was going to be tonight. And the others were probably gone by now.

"Eeeessh." Mira shrugged in disgust the moment she arrived on Oliver's rooftop. There was clutter everywhere - wires, cans of fuel, containers of liquid detergent, and body bags which had bodies inside them. "I'd rather choose hell over this god-forsaken place." She mumbled, loudly, so the blue-haired guy who was totally not ignoring could be notified that was there. "I can hear you, Miiii Maria!! Do not insult the sanctity of my sanctuary. All these you see are spiritual connected to my... insides." He turned around with his arms wide open revealing his armpit hairs. "The only spiritual things I can see are the spirits of those dead bodies you haven't disposed of. And get a shirt, will you?" Mira stumbled through the stuff that was lying around the roof as Oliver put on his shirt he wore for the last 4 days. Mira found herself a spot on the roof that she can lean on and looked at Oliver. "Oliver, you are exceptional at what you do. But have you ever thought of using your skills on your OWN PLACE?!" She exclaimed with matching exaggerated hand gestures. "Uhhh, I don't groove like thaat." Oliver smoothly responded, as smooth as the cloth he was wiping his hands on. "I don't do my work on my place. I don't shit where I eat." He gave Mira a wink, and crossed his arms. "So, I received your text. What's, uhh, down? 'Cos you know, we're up! HAHAHAHA."

Mira simply rolled her eyes at the dreadful joke and gave a loud sigh. "I need you to clean up after me. Or rather, I need you to clean up after us. We're taking down Cain Alvarez tonight. He's having some drug party down at his place so we're expecting a lot of small-time crooks there. Probably a lot of blood too, that's where you come in." Mira said pointing at Oliver who was chuckling uncontrollably hard. "Is there something in my face?!" Mira, calmly but angrily asked. "No, no, it's nothing. Ha ha ha. It's just that I can't get over your organizations name, hahaha! Black Cat. I'm sure there are some really nice people over there, though." Oliver settled down grasping his stomach, and nodded. "Okay, okay. I'll be there waiting. Just uhh, don't die okay cos I need my money? And save me some cocaine, please!"

"No. I'm leaving, I need to catch up with the others." Mira chose to ignore Oliver's swipe at the name of the organization she's in. "Oh and Oli, clean your place. Cos where you eat? Looks like shit. I'll pay you when it's over." Mira hopped off from the roof down to an emergency staircase on the side of the building and was on her way. She got her phone and sent Jess a text message.

Hey, boss. OMW. Had an errand. Where u guys at? @Quarantine

Location: Q's New Room at BC headquarters!

Tags: @Quarantine

Action: Rambling

Mood: Anxious and mentally facepalming himself

Interacting With: Ria

Q was standing there trying to think of what to say when a door in the hallway opened and several people came meandering out...most of whom happened to be ladies. Dressed up ladies. Was that Jess? Why was she not, like, in bro mode? What the fuuuuuck? Now he would never look at her the same way again! He was not prepared for this.

Trying not to look like a fish out of water, he stepped out of the way a little and ducked his head, knowing he was acting very much like the kid everyone always mistook him for. Why are you like this? he asked himself, wishing he wasn't so freakin' shy around women all the goddamn time.

Well, not all the time. Once he familiarized himself with them he could be fine. It just took a little while before he'd be comfortable; and in all fairness, he wasn't exactly his usual friendly self when he met guys for the first time in real life either. There was a reason he was being classified as a Bird and not a Butterfly. The word "social" didn't much fit into his vocabulary unless he was online where he could be Switch and not Q (and Switch was badass); or until people went from strangers to acquaintances. Then he'd still be a little weird sometimes in their eyes (that's what happened when already-shy people got bumped up too many grades and missed out on some key years of normal socialization--so not his fault), but at least he wouldn't be stuck backed up against a wall not making eye contact and not saying--

"HAY! I'M RIA! JESS WANTS ME TO SHOW YOU AROUND AND HELP YOU UNPACK AND STAY WITH YOU UNTIL THEY GET BACK FROM THE THINGIE!"

Q startled at the sudden loudness--did that come out of that cute little girl??--and blinked dumbly as she introduced herself like a normal person would (like he really should've been doing) and found himself being grabbed and dragged into the biggest, coolest apartment he'd ever seen in his life (also, a cute girl was touching him!!!.....He really needed to get out more...)! Like, legit, this place was insane! With a real kitchen and couches and a kickass TV and stairs that wound up to a bedroom loft thing--this was his???

Oh, shit, the girl was still talking.

"Ramen, man. Saved me," she was saying, and that's when his idiot genius brain finally decided to kick back online.

"Ramen. Ha ha!" Oh god, why did that laugh sound so fake? WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS???? He clamped his eyes shut and shook his head like one does when trying to shake a terrible mental image out of it and tried again. "Sorry. Sorry. I didn't mean to laugh. I always think it's kind of funny when people say they survived off ramen because I didn't know the instant microwave stuff even existed until I was like eleven and there was like this Freshman contest thing at my school where everyone had to see how much they could eat, and I was so weirded out because my dad always made the real ramyun with bean sprouts and pork belly and hardboiled egg and everything--but not the seaweed because that might've killed me--and if you get that kind at a real restaurant it's not actually all that cheap--I mean, there are more expensive things to get, but it's not like ninety-nine cents or anything--so when people say they're broke and have to live off ramen my first thought is always, Well, you can't be that broke if you can afford to eat ramyun everyday. Weird huh?"

The entire time he was rambling he occupied himself by getting a feel for the room (that's what he was doing, not avoiding making eye contact. Nope. Not all), leaning his skateboard up against the wall and chucking his bag in a corner of the couch, then pausing to look out one of the many windows at the view of...well, an alley and the building next door, the only thing here that was pretty much just like his old place. He wondered if the people across the way ever opened their blinds. He had seen some pretty interesting things from his window at the loft; not that he was a peeper, but when people left their blinds or curtains open and then proceeded to play out real life soap operas only an alley's length away, it was hard not to pay attention. Better than real TV, that was for sure.

Not that he was much better. He wasn't one of those hackers who liked to turn their space into like the Batcave or anything. Sunlight was a good thing (which he wouldn't be lacking at all in a place like this), so he tended to leave the curtains open. It wasn't like he ever did anything exciting, after all. If anyone peeped on him, they'd see a kid on his computer every hour of the day that he wasn't sleeping. Or changing. He closed the curtains if he was changing. People who didn't do that were pervs. Oh, or building shit. They couldn't see him if he was building shit because he liked to do that on the floor where he could spread all the pieces out around him. Anyway, the point was, from what they could see they would just think he was just playing games or something, which he
was half the time, but he got the feeling he wouldn't be doing too much of that anymore. He was going after bigger fish now.

"Oh, hey, so speaking of making money, what's the mission--case, I mean case--the others are going on? Jess said I'd get a cut, but I don't like getting paid for work I didn't do. I mean, I could probably just look it up, but I'm not down with invading privacy too much, not with people I'm working with...which I know sounds kind of weird because you'd think I'd dig up everything on people I should be trusting, but that sort of takes the fun out of it, ya know? It's like Googling spoilers on an RPG. Who wants to play 'Final Fantasy' when you already know the end of the story? Lame, right?"

Stop. Talking.

Looking away from the window might help, too. Because normal people looked at each other when they conversated. Fuck. Why did it have to be a girl? He was clearly making the
best first impression ever.

Location: Operation Vehicle

Interaction: Alex (@Quarantine).

During the whole chaos in the car, Anais just kept her gaze glued to her phone, reading through Alvarez' file, absolutely exasperated with the whole mission already even though it hadn't even officially started yet. It had been a good call to sit in the passenger seat.

The scent of blood was nothing unusual, sometimes the target just needed a quick warning and a long one-on-one session with knives in the basement was enough. She hated being on clean-up duty after that; the hose in the basement had a bit of a temper, and sometimes just sprays everything and everyone with cold water in its vicinity if not held properly. Shifting in her seat, she finished Alvarez' file, and began to read the plan again. A frown tugged on her lips. Well, she got dressed up for nothing. How she managed to skip over the fact that she'll just be driving, she didn't know.

Kicking her shoes off, she didn't look up when the cacophony of screams started - she'd had to get her hands on that track, it'd be a great wake-up music in the background for when she pulls all-nighters. Neither did she acknowledge anything when Ellis started shooting whoever it was in the bag, only bringing her legs up and shifting so she could sit crosslegged. Why the target was even still alive, she had no idea; it should have been taken care of already. She managed to stifle a grin when Jess took charge of the situation, thinking that the chaos was finally over. Boy, was she wrong.

A huff escaped her lips when Dio and Ellis began to threaten each other. When Ellis drifted off to a mumble, she assumed that the heated discussion was finished - for real this time - and finally looked up at the rearview mirror. Raising an eyebrow at the people in the back, she asked - with a clear emphasis on the way she addressed them - as she set her phone down in her lap,
"Do you, kids, need a few moments still or are we clear to focus on the mission?"

Her attention snapped towards the road when she saw a sign. Tiling her head slightly to the side to glance at Alex, she suggested, gesturing to the side,
"You should take the next right. That way, we won't get caught in the traffic in the main road." Then the corner of her mouth twitched upwards, eyes glinting in amusement, "And for the record, you don't look too bad yourself tonight."

"You should save the flattery for the party, David." The female fox said in response to his compliment. Amused, David couldn't help but let out a small chuckle. "Don't worry your pretty little red head, there's still plenty more for the party."

David turned his attention back to their leader and watched as she pulled out a bag of powder from her desk. Upon glance, the substance seemed harmless but as he knew well by now, not everything is as it seemed.
"Ah, so, this is supposed to be cocaine," Jess explained as she held the bag of powder up for them to see more clearly. So he was right, the powder really wasn't as harmless as it first seemed.

"And, uh, Mira knows. Mira knows... uhm, we're visiting a drug lord named Cain Alvarez," Jess continued on with her explanation. David couldn't help but notice that she was quite nervous. Was it because she was speaking in front of them? David found it odd if it were the case, Jess was the leader after all. Maybe it was because she was in a dress? David didn't know what kind of clothes Jess wore during her off time, but so far he hasn't seen her in a dress nor a skirt.

"He's going to give me a lot of money. Thirty thousand. I'll split it if you guys come with me. And raise your pay by about twenty-eight dollars, even if you just wait outside." Not like I need it, David immediately thought upon hearing what their leader had said. It was true though, money was the last thing that David needed more of. He didn't join Black Cat for the money, he joined in honour of his brother--it was what he would've wanted, to join Black Cat; David had little doubt in him that Daniel would've joined Black Cat if he had known of their existence. Although he didn't need more money, David has still taken the pay. He thought about it before, how he needed to have some money which his parents wouldn't be able to track so easily. His bank account is merely an extension of his parents' and therefore they can easily see the transactions that David makes. They don't really care what David spends on--they don't even bother to check what shit David used his card for! But David can be a paranoid person sometimes. What if they suddenly decided to care about what he buys and checks? What if he had bought something for Black Cat? How would he explain that to his parents? 'Mom, Dad, don't freak out but I'm a member of a vigilante group.' They would likely freak out if they ever found out. They would accuse him of not focusing on his studies, and, and, who knows what they might do! Despite knowing them, David still finds it hard to predict what his parents would do exactly. However, getting more was just unnecessary. David has kept previous paychecks in his own, separate from his parents, bank account. He's barely touched the money and thus, it's grown to quite the amount. David had been so lost in thought that he had failed to hear what Jess had been saying prior to holding up a key and saying "Who wants to drive?"

Alex was the first to leave. How did he notice? Well, the Fox
did bump into him. "Shit, sorry pal." "It's al--" It's alright, he wanted to say, but found that Alex had already walked passed him and out the door. "Nevermind then," David quietly mumbled to himself. At least he apologised. Next to follow was Ana, calling out shotgun with a grin on her face before leaving. David looked around the room, it was only him, Dio, and Jess left--Mira had slipped out moments after Jess began talking. He didn't know why she did; it was Mira's business and Mira's business wasn't his business. The blond was wise enough to know not to stick his nose in the business of others. David looked at Jess who still held the keys to the car which no one took. He shoot her an apologetic look. "Sorry Boss. Poor eyesight, remember? Can't drive well during the night." He then left the room and stepped into the hall.

David had just exited in time to see Anais get on the elevator and see a boy step out. His face was unfamiliar, a new recruit perhaps? Despite being a Butterfly whose job is getting information, David certainly lacked knowledge on internal matters and happenings. Whoever this lad was, he wasn't someone who was unauthorized or unwanted, if he were--well, he wouldn't be standing there right now if he were. David shrugged. Whoever the guy was, he would find out later, right now there were more important things he needed to attend to.

He strode on forward towards the elevator ... or at least, that was the plan before he suddenly realised that he
did end up forgetting something. Quickly, David turned on his heel and made a beeline for his room. He passed by Ria on the way but gave no indication that he noticed her. Just as he was opening the door, he heard Ria's loud booming voice "HAY! I'M RIA!" David entered his room, muffling the noise out at the hall. He rolled his eyes in reaction to the noise before stepping away to the door and to his desk. His desk wasn't anything fancy looking, just a sleek black modern desk with a glass top. It was a minimalist desk, but don't let looks deceive you. Despite it's simple design, the desk was expensive as fuck. This was David after all, only the best and finest for him. There's also the fact that the desk was one of those desks that whose height can be adjusted at the push of a button. Anyway, the desk wasn't what he came back for. It was the contents of the hidden vault on the wall behind it. David made quick work of the combination lock. It opened to reveal two handguns along with boxes of bullets. He took one of the guns and made sure it was loaded before closing the vault once more. Now ready for the task they were about to undertake, David exited his room and headed downstairs.

When he got downstairs, David was disheartened--and quite annoyed--to see that they've left without it. He didn't take
that long did he? Still feeling peeved at being left, David was about to call Jess and ask what he was going to do now when he noticed a note, pinned to the ground by a coin, underneath the Lexus RX. If the quarter hadn't been there, David would've paid no head to the piece of paper underneath the vehicle. He would've thought it was merely trash. Quite amazing how a small object could change a person's perspective on something. Without wasting another second, David picked up the note and read it. For the second time that day, he was reading a note written in Jess' distinct handwriting. On the note was the intruction for the others to use the Lexus to get to the venue. Others? What others? Is there anyone else who was left behind?

There only one way to find out the answer to that question. David fished out his phone from his pocket and sent a quick text to Jess.

Jess
me
I can't believe you guys left without me :(
me
On a serious note though, who else isn't with you guys?
me
Just so I know who I'll be waiting for before leaving.

She listened, her eyes blank of emotion until the first few seconds after he finished speaking. She reached up and touched a loose strand of hair for a second before letting out a small laugh, watching him wander around, "...Not sure I'm supposed to answer the first part of what you said... or the last. But I know a lot about work. I've been here for a few years, and helped elect Jess. Before her was Halen, and before him was Riter then ... probably another middle aged dude. Halen was only in service for a year, which is why I know. He... ah... he messed up. I have so many stories about everyone. One time, Jess shattered her leg climbing over a fence and Halen had to carry her to the van. She wasn't allowed to work for a long time, and I moved in with her for a while." This brought her thoughts back to his actual statements, and she quickly said, "Anyway, we work by hours, like normal people... We are normal people." She laughed a bit, "I take that back."

Ria went to the TV stand and turned it on to the news, needing background noise, before sitting down on the couch.

"
We're expecting another storm in the mid-west, one of the worst ever experienced, and the second one this weekend..."

"
So you won't begin raking in cash until your first assignment. The main people you have to deal with are on the same floor, and others are on different floors, which means you'll never see them. They're called Bugs, I think. They get paid way less, but do safer stuff, like just techie or medical things. Never on the field. On this floor, there's me. I'm the coolest person you'll ever be blessed to talk to. And, ah, Alex. He's kinda... I'd tell you a story, but I want at least one person to not know what I did. Just an all-around jerk, though that may just be me. Danno. Jess- you've met Jess. She's pretty friggin' cool. David's awesome too. He's a big flirt... I just had a conclusion. I'm gonna be his wing-girl. Yes. Anais is a bit weird. She's like a robot, I think. You shouldn't really have problems with her. Erika's... nice. I don't know very much about her, but she seems really... normal. Dio's great. He's... fun. Mira's the right hand of Jess. Really professional, but she can be funny too. And He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named. Spoiler. Ellis. Not the coolest person to hang out with. Or be interrogated by. Overall, most of them you shouldn't have a problem with." Her voice dropped to a more serious one, and she looked at him before continuing. "Most of us are surrounded by death. After your first assignment you can only leave from termination- breaking the rules- or being killed. There are a few other loopholes, such as age or disability, but if you try to leave on your own terms, you'll become a dangerous subject. Dangerous Subjects are usually trained in some way, and sometimes have important information, or are always armed, or have lots of bad friends... they're just dangerous. When dealing with them, they usually send a whole team. So all your friends and enemies, people you know and care about, will be the ones gunning you down. Kinda shitty, in that way alone. Speaking of which, Cain Alvarez is considered a dangerous subject. He always has weapons on him, despite the fact that no one ever sees him. Most of the time he has friends like him, always trained in some way, more his body guards than pals. Also, with dozens of counts of all types of murder. That's where everyone's at right now- selling him fake cocaine and trying to kill him off." She stopped talking, leaving the room without a word. In less than a minute, she returned with a laptop, poorly hiding her smile. Holding the PC carefully, she said quietly, "Thought you might appreciate this. I actually had to save up for this and my Origin EON17-X." She flashed the back of it, showing off the Alienware logo. "This is the Alienware Eighteen Gaming Laptop. Boom." The girl set it down on the coffee table, no longer trying to hide how proud she was. Stretching a bit, Ria explained, "This, love, is a four thousand dollar PC." She motioned for him to come over. "I had to buy two of these because my last one had so many viruses it couldn't function without turning off every eight seconds. Feel free to try to mess with Black Cat's website on your own computer." They knew better than to make a website like blackcat.com or bcisrighthere.net, so a website called www.animalfarm.com was created, using the most simple website designing tools, and the most complex defenses. The website wasn't widely known about, even to the members, and less than three fourths of the Cats even had an account.

His mind flew at the same pace as her words, logging information and internally responding as soon as she spoke and moved on. He didn't mention that Jess told him he could get a cut of the day's pay as a welcoming gift. Maybe that wasn't normal. If it was something special just for him, better keep it on the down low in case someone got jealous or something. He kinda hoped it was something special just for him. As many times as Jess had told him to stop contacting her, clearly he'd wormed his way to her good side since she'd actually held to her word and let him join up today. Or maybe she just got sick of trying to make him go away. Eh, he'd take it either way.

Still, he didn't like feeling like he owed people, so he wasn't super keen on just taking free money. When Ria mentioned Cain Alvarez, he logged that in his memory too, aiming to look up anything he could find on the guy as soon as this whole having to talk to new people thing was out of the way. If he could help while Jess and the others were out targeting this guy, he would; it wasn't like he didn't know how to contact her if he needed to.

The not allowed to leave without permission thing wasn't new news to him. He was so ready to be a vigilante spy for life. That was way more exciting than exposing cheating spouses, writing code for small businesses, or financially destroying some corrupt corporate asshole. Okay, wait, that last gig was actually super cool, but he'd only done the one.

After all that, he was about to blurt out something lame like, "Wow, you talk as much as I do," but the girl definitely knew how to distract a tech geek. That computer was no joke! It was, like, a work of pure art! And she'd had two? Man, he so made the right choice with stalking Black Cat.

"Oh man, so cool."
He reached out to touch it, but pulled his hand back quickly. He didn't like people touching his tech; she probably felt the same way, especially with that beautiful baby. "You let one of these get viruses? Poor thing. If you still have it I can go in and scrub it clean. She'll be good as new. And I can amp up your security on this one so it won't happen again. By the time I'm done you could download, like, raunchy gay animal-orgy porn and not get a single glitch." He cringed at his own words. "Not that I'm saying you would. I was just trying to create an extreme example. For the effect. Ugh. Never mind. Forget I said that. Just, I can make both laptops virus-free forever. If you want."

She stared at her computer screen, half listening. The girl winced, hearing his words about the... animal stuff. "Aheeehh...." She tried to think of a way to decline his offer, as she had things on the PC Jess probably didn't want anyone but her seeing. "That's alright. I ah, I like debugging it. Gives me something to do." She quickly said, looking up, "So I found that it was actually a bit of a challenge getting into actual government websites, not like the BC website, but difficult, for me. And the thing is, they gave us no information except a complete list of common criminals, most of which we already had. I mean, we knew some of them they didn't have. The law has so many resources, but I mean- they're horrible." She hoped he was distracted by that thought, and no longer wanted to mess around with her computer. After a second, she said, "When I was really young, I wanted to be a lawyer. My dad's company was always getting into lawsuits, and he talked about his lawyer a lot. He was a nice, good guy. As I got older I realized some of those people just want money and a feeling of power. They can protect someone knowing they're wrong. I learned a lot of things are like that. " She paused, offering a smile for a second. "I just realized you never told me your name. Jess gave me a copy of the email you sent her so I could get to know you. I finished reading it." At this point, she seemed to have trouble keeping a straight face. "It explains a lot of uhm, everything. A lot of everything." Her eyes flickered back to the screen, and, not looking at him, she said in an unusual voice, "I understand entirely. I "lowkey scare" a lot of people." Her eyes darted back up to him and she smirked, biting her lip to prevent laughter.

The girl cringed, hearing the argument. Feeling her phone vibrate, she pulled it out of her purse and replied to Mira first.

MIRA: Hey, boss. OMW. Had an errand. Where u guys at?

JESS: Almost at the party. We might get there in around eight minutes.

"Almost there," she said, more for herself than anyone else.

Next she looked at Daniel's text, staring at her phone for a few minutes before typing back:

JESS: Mira's on her way, I think. You should be good to go. Make sure to be here in less than thirty minutes, or please don't come at all.

As the SUV made a turn and slowed down by a house, which appeared to have no more than three dozen people inside. The girl looked at her watch, realizing that she had rushed everyone, and had gotten there ahead of schedule, meaning there was time to kill.

"Anais, Dio, stay in the car unless there's a problem, please." Seeing that she would have to go alone to make the trade, with Charlotte not coming, she got a bit nervous as she got out of the car, heading towards the fragile, abandoned building, unused to heels. She stepped inside, the two at the door parting and waiting for the others in the car, as they knew Jess well by now.

There seemed to be nothing to do but dance, so she grabbed a glass of alcohol from the kitchen counter and held it, wanting to drink a bit due to stress, but knowing better. Her eyes fell on the door, waiting for the others to enter and
not make a mess up the operation.

Mira got Jess' reply as she was already riding a cab towards the place. "8-minutes" Mira mumbled to herself while staring outside the window wondering how tonight is going to end. "Hopefully, no one dies." She thought to herself while the cab driver was ranting about how he moved here from his foreign land and etc. Mira would respond with a nod or a that's-interesting-line from time to time, but she wasn't really listening. She was focused on the mission at hand. The cab finally stopped to her instructions which was one block away from the meeting place. Mira paid her fare and exited the taxi to which she quickly located the car the others rode in parked outside. She surveyed the place - left to right; up and down. There were other vehicles parked outside that could belong to Cain Alvarez's visitors. After a minute of observing, she began to walk towards the car to join the others. From outside, she counted the visible silhouettes and concluded not all were there. She gave them a wave nonetheless, but went right back to checking out what was going on inside the house.

Ellis got up, noticing they finally got to the target destination. It was quite the journey, especially smelling the rustic potatoes constantly. "I guess it's time to go." He said, getting up, Ellis got around to the trunk, opened it and picked up his Makarov, butterfly knife and the body bag. He opened a container to the right, finding perfume. "Knew it, it's Jess' car, she always has perfume somewhere." He laughed, spraying the body bag with perfume, around to the point where he just poured the whole bottle of perfume on it.

He noticed the plenty of bullet holes made into the bag, he quickly picked up the bag and started cutting off pieces of the seat leather to patch up the holes. After that he put on a glove, a white glove, reaching into the body bag and covering the glove with blood. Padding the inside of his pocket with tinfoil, he put his hand into his pocket, approaching the door, he put his glasses on. But than, the guards just stopped him. "I'm just bringing in some stuff for Mr. Alvarez. Don't want him waiting too long." Ellis continued, but the guards stopped him again. "I don't want to get fired, interrogated, than I'll blame it on you for you to get fired and possibly killed. For me being late." As soon as Ellis said that, the guard let him through, right before Ellis patted the guard on the back with his bloody glove. "Good day." He said.

Arriving at the kitchen counter, he waited until the waiter or whoever left and that's when he dropped the bloody glove into the sink, which was filled with water. Ellis sighed, looking over at Jess. "How's it going boss?" He said, viewing her as being stressed the fuck out.

She reached into her purse and pulled out a package of pills, with no label. They took a toll on her body, with energy and mood benefits.

"How's it going, boss?"

A male voice called her by a name she was used to, one that was supposed to be formal, but wasn't at all.

Jess looked up to see Ellis. She checked her watch, a habit of hers to confirm the exact time she was interacting with another human. At first she smelled a stench she could barely recognize as something she was used to, it was so overwhelming. Glancing down at a patchwork of a bag, she saw bits and pieces of her car seats plastered over the holes in the body bag. For a second, she was alarmed. But just a second.

She stood up calmly, first making sure she was stable on her uncomfortable heels. Next, the woman drank all of her vodka so there was nothing left to spill before whispering to herself, "
I really need this."

The girl quickly swung her fist back, bringing it down to connect with his jaw, her expression stoic, but her eyes shining with excitement, even happiness.

Ellis quickly caught the punch with his eyes, immediately dropping the bag and stepping left. Once the punch was in relative reaching, he caught it with his left armpit and moved it down to his elbow, at this point, he began twisting the arm before he could hear a crack. Once the crack was deployed, he pulled out his Potato Cleaner and held the serrated edge right against Jess' arm. It was at this time he started inducing fear.

"Boss, you don't wanna go against me..." As he said this, he looked right into her eyes. "Your 'arm' has two choices. Struggle and get cut off. Or... You can let it go." Ellis said, keeping the potato cleaner where it is. Of course he wouldn't do it, there's dozens of people watching at this point, but he couldn't just let it go. It'd be the same if Ellis just let Jess hit him, everyone would watch. So.. What's the difference?

Alex nods at Anais' instructions, they could avoid all that nasty traffic that could mess up the entire timing of the plan. The feeling to smile back was apparent within Alex, he felt the need to show Anais that he appreciated the compliment, but all he could do is just keep his eye on the road and thank her. It was around now that Alex realizes that he was getting too worked up over something that couldn't be dealt with, Ellis was the way he was and no matter how much Alex scolded him, he would remain an insane asshole.

The car comes to a stop in front of an old, run-down house with music and lights coming from the inside. Jess getting out immediately causes Alex to look at the clock and go over the plan once again in his head. The Fox nearly waved back at Mira, but just settles for nodding at her, what a desirable personality, professional enough to focus and yet casual enough to wave at her colleagues at the same time. It was a spectacle in itself. "Damnit!" Alex exclaims as he watches Ellis
take out the body bag and carry it into the building. The Fox thought about running in after him, but was restrained by his own thoughts as he remembered the plan. Jess will be fine. Ellis won't mess up. Are the thoughts that danced through his head as he waited for the time to go.

Charlotte awoke with a drowsy start. She had worked over time at the restaurant last night, which (of course) resulted in a coma-like sleep lasting over twelve hours. She hated when she got little sleep, but she hated getting too much sleep even more. Sleeping in was one thing. Getting twenty hours of sleep was another. She stretched lazily and reached up to the red glasses perched obediently atop her head, unmoved by her restless slumber. She didn't even really need glasses; her eyesight was almost perfect, so the glasses didn't do much. However, she felt smarter and older with them, an effect emphasized by her already youthful appearance. The only bar she wasn't carded at was the one in her own restaurant. She heard a distant noise outside her window and slowly pulled herself to the window, only to see cars leaving the building. Something was afoot and she had just lost out on the fun because of her deep slumber. Cursing colorfully, she began to search under her blankets for her phone before something by her door caught her eye.

Abandoning the phone search, she gingerly picked up the rich cardstock, reading the invitation carefully.
Alvarez…she had heard that name too many times not to know what he was associated with, both from her associates and her comrades. She cursed again, less intensely this time, as she put two and two together. If this invitation was here, that meant her services were required at this party. As a bird, she was a little more dedicated than those who only passed on information she heard. She was lucky in being at the right places at the right times, but luck wasn’t the only thing on her side as a bird. As an owner of a restaurant, she had 24/7 monitoring over an information hub that gave her an abundance of useful and useless information. Not only that, but her stealth and spying skills gave her an advantage when sent to gather information.

She began to prep, washing her face and putting on minimal, natural makeup to look more her age. She didn’t put any on usually, but she certainly didn’t need to be recognized nor carded tonight. She put on a simple black dress, her favorite because it was so easy to use for any occasion. She slipped on classy pearl earrings, bracelet, and necklace before continuing the hunt for her phone. Frustrated at this point, she flung the blanket off the bed completely, making a mental note to take care of it later. Her efforts were rewarded by a glint of her phone as it landed on the bed. She kicked a pillow off the bed for good measure as she snatched it up before it disappeared again.

“Thank goodness,” she muttered to herself, slipping it into her purse as she put on heels. She had flats tucked into her purse too, the convenient foldable kind. Unlike the higher ranks that were used to carrying weapons around, she always felt uneasy about having weapons on her. She wasn’t much of a fighter anyways and doubted her abilities in even whipping out the weapon efficiently. She slipped a dainty gold hair pin into her hair. At least with the pin, she could pick locks and whatnot if necessary. She also liked to keep a pack of cigarettes and a lighter on hand, mostly because she liked having a lighter and it would look suspicious without the cigarettes. A pen, pencil, and small notepad were also part of her essentials.

After making sure she had everything she needed, she left her room and went into the hallway. She didn’t have many options in terms of transportation. She hoped someone hadn’t left yet and could offer her a ride. Despite her preference for solitude, she much preferred to be the passenger than the driver. She wasn’t a bad driver…she just didn’t like being the one behind the wheel. It gave her too much control, and she was easily distracted. Besides, this mission was obviously meant for the group, since everyone was so keen on leaving together. She paused in the hallway, pulling out her phone and scrolling through her contacts as her mind whirled through who she should contact. Her other option was yelling in the middle of the hallway, but after sleeping through their departure, she didn’t need another excuse to feel stupid.

Erika got out of the car slowly, after Ellis. She walked up to the house, squeezing past a bunch of sweaty guys to the back of the house, in the kitchen. It got quiet all of a sudden, and then some shouting. Erika's adrenaline kicked in, and she headed into the living room to see what was going on.

Ellis was facing away from her, and in front of him was Jess, towards her. She quickly pulled out a knife from her bra, putting on a small smile of confidence, and approached Ellis.

Erika placed the cold metal blade on his throat, pressing hard enough to draw blood.

"Hey Elli! I have a question: Your head has two choices. Struggle, and get cut off, or let her go." Knowing this would create an unwanted problem, but not caring, as it would get rid of another, she shouted, "CAIN! ALVAREZ! YOUR CHICK IS GETTING RAPED BY SOME ASSHAT!"

Ellis lowered his eyes, viewing the knife held against his throat. "Not gonna lie... Good move." He grinned, removing the potato cutter from it's place, and letting go of Jess' arm. "Nice game we're playing here." Ellis said, moving his head to the right, the knife Erika kept close to his throat started cutting his neck as he turned. "Checkmate."

It was one time that Ellis felt threatened, he didn't have anything to go over and all around he was doomed. He only did the knife sacrifice because it was meant to scare people and mentally tell them: 'I'm not afraid to get my head cut off.'. But.. Before Ellis asks for Erika to step knife off. Ellis had a smart ass joke. "My head's not the one holding her arm... Dumbass."

It was only than he remembered her words, screaming for Alvarez. "Wait... You got to be kidding me." Ellis made a transition, lowering down his hair, keeping his glasses on, removing his coat, kicking away his body bag. "You just had to? Didn't you?" Ellis whispered, before sliding away, the knife cut Ellis' neck as he ran out and around the building. His transition couldn't have been any better, as he looked like a kid trying to peek into a party.
