Lester frowned as the girl tried to keep walking on her own. He put one of his arms around her shoulders and the other under her knees. "It might be easier if you put your arm around my neck." He said, beginning to walk. His wings curled part way around him of their own accord. Lawrence stayed by Lester's side in case he ended up needing help. The girl didn't look heavy but he didn't know what kind of torture wounds Lester had. Lawrence watched the large group ahead of them pause by a door. He thought about calling for them to wait since they would be safer together, but he didn't want to have to be around so many people. Lester glanced down at the girl's leg to look for injuries. "What happened?" He asked, wondering if she had gotten it while fighting.

Lex, feeling slightly comforted by the older male's lack of questioning, stepped out into the trashed corridor, taking in the scene he noted a cluster of people moving away down one end of the corridor, the larger pile of broken guards up the other end and his liberator moving along the doors checking any that weren't already open.

Stretching out his shining wings to their full span in the open space the boy admired the shimmering pattern for a moment before moving over to examine the corpses and stare down with a morbid curiosity. He'd never seen a dead body before, plenty nearly beaten to death but properly dead was different, living things were always in some kind of motion never ceasing until their one final stop.

Breaking loose Lex shifted his gaze to the scattered weaponry. The guns and tasers in his hands would do more harm than so he chose to snatch up an expandable baton from one man's belt and straightened up to check on the man who let him out who appeared to have done a good portion of the fighting.

"Safest place in a warzone is right behind the badass." He murmured to himself, moving to stand behind the 'badass' silently.

Airo looked over at the girl her clothes soaked in blood. "You going to be okay to walk?" he asked placing a hand on her shoulder looking her over. His wings fluttered a few times. Im not really an expert but I think you will be okay. He looked back at the others realizing he didn't know anyone's names yet. For now they could get by he could get there names would be a good thing to get after they escape. He looked over at the red haired girl who mentioned an escape from a court yard. "Ill take a courtyard anywhere open we can fly out of here as long as we can get past any guard towers. "You know the way out...Karie...right?" He handed the keycard over to her not like i'm going to need it right?"

Kita felt someone's hand on her shoulder as the boy attached to the hand asked if she would be able to walk. At first she was confused, then realized he probably saw her hands and tank top. "Yeah, I kind of had a bad nosebleed earlier, and the tank top was the only thing around to stop the bleeding. I'm Kita by the way." She looked at him, he seemed to be more of the leader in this group than anyone. He even had a key card that would most likely their escape, but then he handed it to a girl called Karie. Maybe she's the leader? Kita thought. Her wings suddenly flaired out, as if ready for combat, as if they had a mind of their own. If they did have a mind of their own, Kita was sure it would tell her 'Give me liberty or give me death'. This slightly inspired her.

Karie turned to the boy from before “I didn’t kill him… because in this messed up world we lived in… to give someone a chance to live. is worth a thousand deaths…” she said firmly, her wings spreading out elegantly as she turned back to face Isaac and smiled “thanks… I really hope so….” she said once again resting a hand on her stomach cheerfully before taking the key-card and nodding in understanding “sucks… I can’t fly…even because I was…well, you know… my wings have never worked properly… that’s why I was chosen for the program because otherwise I would be branded as useless.. and they wanted to keep me because one of the scientist’s developed a creepy obsession with my wings… he kept saying ‘you are the angel that shall save this world…’ it was scary!.. he later got discharged on the case of low sanity…” she said making a childish creeped out face and inspecting her wings, fluttering them once gently.

She then noticed a girl standing near them, her tank-top covered in blood “you ok?…” she asked, walking over to her, smiling kindly as she said so “..nosebleed?…” she then muttered to herself, waiting for a response from the girl or anyone else, not quite sure what else to do in the current situation. @Kita @Raypoint @Kuroi01 @XxLuluxX

Aaron watched her walk past. "Its strange what kind of plans they had for us they aren't going to stop looking for us after we do this." His wings folded behind him. he was a little surprised what could this place need for someone whose wings were not working right. "Do you even think you can get out of here on foot?" He looked at the others. "okay well once we get out of the building whats the plan?" he felt more and more dizzy catching himself on the wall. he took a few deep breaths not all of us are in good enough shape to make it far.

@Kita @IG42 @Kuroi01 @XxLuluxX @TheHappyPikachu

Kita was surprised at the kindness in Katie's voice when she asked if she was ok. It was nice to hear the kindness radiate from her voice as she spoke. "Yeah." Kita felt stupid with such a simple response, but she couldn't really think of something to say that was as straight forward. She thought out possible exits for them to escape with, but seeing as she hadn't really seen much of the actual facility it was hard. Whenever the doctors and guards came to get her she would always try to escape, day after day. She had always failed of course, she wasn't as strong as her determination let on, so all that was needed to calm her down were sedatives.

Kita cringed, she hated the sedatives, they always made her feel so powerless as she would slowly loose energy and then just shrink to the ground. But... "Every kind of building has some sort of exit, and seeing as the guards and doctors don't have wings, it should in theory be fairly easy to get free on foot. If we could just find the exit, all we would have to do is get out, although we would most likely have to deal with quite a few guards..." Kita hoped they could find the exit, their lives and freedom depended on it...

As Natalia hastily unlocked the last door, which turned out to be empty, she heard a male ask, “Is everybody out?” She turned towards the voice and slid the metal ring that was holding the keys together over her wrist like a bracelet. The keys made a soft clanging noise as she hurried towards the boy that had spoken. He’d begun giving orders, which Natalia respected as he was stepping up and making sure all of the experiments worked together for a successful escape, but to her annoyance nobody was listening. In fact, some of the experiments had started walking away.

She understood the utter urgency of the situation – they all just wanted to get out and save their own skins – but Natalia couldn’t imagine leaving a single individual behind. They’d all been through so much and although they didn’t know each other, in a way they’d spent the last few years of their lives together. She had a feeling that this boy felt the same way. She appreciated the way he said, “We’re all in this together.” It made him seem trustworthy and loyal.

Nat put a hand on the boy’s arm as she passed, letting him know she’d heard him and was following orders. “The doors are all unlocked,” she said over her shoulder before throwing one of the doors open and looking inside. The cell was empty, so she moved onto the next one. Most of the other experiments, excluding a boy who’d been following her, a set of twins carrying a girl and another two boys emerging from a cell, were standing around having what looked like a very casual, useless chat.

There was no time. Nat started to run from door to door, opening them and checking for more experiments. She felt like for some reason or another, time had come to a standstill, and at any moment everything would speed up tenfold to make up for the lost time. Because everyone had slowed down momentarily the guards would have the upper hand.

If they didn’t get their act together, all of this would have been for nothing. And just like that, it’d be over.

@Cyber Wolf @jole875 If you guy still want to be a part of this, please post soon or forever hold your peace. We need to move on. The guards have been MIA for far too long, and this RP is going to fall through if we don't get out butts moving.

@everyone else - Please be patient. It seems boring at the moment, but as soon as we get going it'll pick up a lot. Just sorting out some people dropping out, etc.))

@CelestialBunny
"Yesterday...It was 'why not squish the smallest experiment with a ton of weight' day" she said with a small smile, as she continued "Point is I tried to escape it and I only landed on my leg, and it got me my second strike on the way to cutting my hair. I've been avoiding it for 3 years now, on hair cut day, when you guys get your hair cut, I let them do twice the torture on me, just to keep my hair." She said disappointedly. "It's the only thing I have left of the outside world... The only color that was in my cell besides my chocolate brown hair, was the electric blue bottom of it." She added, using his help to walk. "Thanks for all the help"she said with a smile.

Karie nodded "ok then!" he said cheerfully and thought once again about the fact of her wings not working...they never had... she could move them, that was for sure but she had never been able to fly..not once. they were very pretty wings though... they'd never mentioned what bird they were from and honestly didn't mind "yeah, we probably should get moving soon..." she said, still in a cheerful tone as she once again twirled the gun around in her hands "5 shots left...by the way..." she added turning back to Isaac briefly before once again facing the girl and smiling "todays been too much.." she mumbled childishly, flopping done before adjusting herself and rubbing the back of her head playfully. @Kita @Raypoint @Kuroi01

"Every day is too much in this place... Is everyone out of their cells yet? The sooner we get moving the better, also Karie it's okay if you can't fly properly. Even if I have to carry you we'll get out, no matter what..." He said with a determined expression, looking around the hall all the cells appeared to be empty which meant they would finally be able to get going. As much as he wanted to save everyone there was no point in anything they'd done if they all ended up dead anyway, he at least wanted to help Karie and the younger ones. Some people still had a chance to live normal lives, maybe one day this would all just be a bad memory that they didn't speak about.

Karie turned back to Isaac and nodded "yeah..your right...and thanks..." she said cheerfully, also looking around at the empty cells "I guess we can head off then?.." Karie said doing one final head count of the people currently present in the situation, sighing as she folded her wings back in and tightened her grip on the gun "the easiest wall out is through there..." Karie said pointing in the direction of a door, not to far from them "but-" she cut off "you know what, never mind...it's..not important for now." she said, blushing slightly as she spoke and coughing once too adjust. @Kita @Raypoint

Airo slowed down looking outside. "Well what are we waiting for lets o this huh." he said managing to hold back his nervousness. He stretched his wings looking back at the others. "Sooo who wants to go first?" he said looking out the area was surrounded by thick forests at lest they would have a little cover to un to after they got past the walls. He pressed his hands to the wall taking a deep breath freedom was just infront of them all they had to do was mad=ke a mad dash out of a government facility past he didn't know how many armed guards in tower's @TheHappyPikachu @Kuroi01 @XxLuluxX

((OOC: Are we not waiting for others? Also, the hall just leads to the outside? No abandoned complex or wall? Nothing?))

As Aavak keeps following his liberator he begins to listen in on the conversation of the group they are heading towards slowly. Out of a strange desire, he decides to look in to each of the cells that the girl unlocks, keeping an ear out as he didn't particularly trust anyone but the girl that released him as of yet. He overhears that the pregnant girl knows where the exit may be. He looks over to see the girl to see the pregnant lady twirling the bloody gun around her finger, he stops, stares at the gun twirling, hoping for the lives of those nearby that the safety is on. He does not move a muscle until the lady stops twirling the weapon of death.

Letting out a breath he didn't realize he was holding, Aavak moves back shadowing the lady that released him, continuing his curious glances in to the cells, not seeing anyone yet. He gets absorbed into his menial task and stops paying attention to the world around him, starting to hum as he investigates each cell.

His mind wanders to the lack of guards continuing the assault. Where there none left? Did they no longer bother and just leave? It was probably overly positive thinking, but it could very well be true. It seemed that excluding few, there was only talking happening around him.

A minute passes and Aavak keeps to his task of investigation. Him and the girl he is with lock eyes, he moves to say 'Hello', but he hears shuffling a ways behind him. Aavak turns and sees another girl coming towards them, a crimson stain down her shirt and blood around her mouth. Death! Death rings through Aavak's head as his heart stops. He instinctively jumps into a cell and of the way, letting the girl pass. It seems she didn't notice him. Phew.

A few moments pass, and Aavak recovers slightly, he ducks his head out and sees the bloody girl being introduced into the group. He looks to the girl who freed him and she looks back at him, giving him an incredulous look before going back to her task. Aavak pulls his head back into the cell and shakes it. "Pull yourself together! You need these people!" he says to himself before heading back out into the hall. He notices the group from before looking to head out, and the girl that freed him looking behind him and looking frustrated. She turns again, looking deep in angry thought. He walks up behind her and pokes her shoulder to get her attention. "What is your name?" he asks, with absolutely no tact or diplomacy, glad to be able to talk to someone one-on-one.

Finn stood staring at the others bewildered. Had they honestly just ignored the fact that he was trying to get them all the hell out of here? “Amateurs.” He muttered angrily. Hearing a low tinkling sound Finn his shifted his gaze to a girl striding towards him. Her green eyes flashed with a certain determination and her hair made her look like a red haloed goddess on a mission. He found himself grinning at her with relief that someone in this insane facility was at least using their brain. He turned to follow the girl as she passed, his shoulder warming where her hand has been only a few moments before. Don’t get any ideas Finn, he thought to himself. You ain’t out of this place yet. @thatteaganchick

“Let’s get the rest of these doors open!” he yelled out to the others, barely pausing to see if they would even follow. He worked quickly alongside the ruby haired girl, yanking open doors as she unlocked them. There seemed to be only a few left and after those it was bon voyage freaky science lab and hello open skies.

“I think we need to follow that lot.” Emily prompted before turning on her heels and heading for the group opening the last of the doors. She ignored the deep scarlet sludge on the floor and the wheezing of injured guards that were still semi-conscious. All she could think of was getting herself and whoever was smart enough to follow out of this darn place for good.

Evelynn shifted her eyes towards the group nodded to the group, agreeing with their words. They did need to get out, and they needed to do it quickly. But, no experiment should be left behind. "Is... Is that everyone?" Her question floated in the air, aimed at no one in particular.

When a girl said that she couldn't fly, Eve smiled, trying to comfort her at least. "We all are going to make it out of here some way or another. I'm not even sure if I can fly quite yet, but I'll try." Her finger pointed to her back, as her wings folded to her sides and pulled away from the wound to reveal it. The wound had stopped from bleeding, but still showed open flesh. The man who beat her had beaten her until he could see flesh, and that's exactly what he did. The motion she did to show the wound stung her just by moving her wings to the side, but she didn't dare react to it. Her pain was not a priority, and she knew this very well. @TheHappyPikachu

She then moved her wings back to cover the wound, and inspected her own wings to see drying blood covering from small spots, to medium sized pools of blood, covering random sections of her wings. The blood caused the off-white on the inside of her wing to look dirty.

"Looks like we'll all need a bath after this." Eve said, half joking about her comment. She attempted to laugh, instead it came out as a small awkward chuckle. These times were nothing to laugh about, but if they couldn't keep their sanity, what was the point of escaping?

Lex had been following his bloodied companion on autopilot having become distracted trying to extend his borrowed weapon to it's full length.

"How do these things work? They always seemed to just flick and go." He grumbled to himself, running his fingers all over the object before settling on a small switch. Pressing down and giving the baton a sharp flick he made a sharp bark of dismay as it flew from his tentative grip and clattered to the ground.

Running to pick up the weapon the words 'What's your name' drifted through his mind, someone had asked him a question. glancing around he noticed the older looking male had acquired a shotgun and was watching him expectantly.

"Oh umm sorry." He said grabbing the baton and pulling it to it's full length. "I'm Lex. How about you?"

He looked at Karie somewhat confused why she had cut herself off yet again, he wasn't sure what kind of things they had done to her to make her pregnant but whatever they were they sounded dreadful. "Are you alright? If there's something really bad there we can go a different way it's alright, I don't want you to put yourself under too much stress. You're strong yes but strong or not it's not good for you. I know I'm probably worrying too much but I consider you a good friend even if we did only meet today." He said somewhat awkwardly, he wasn't good at saying stuff like this and he felt like an idiot for calling her a good friend like that. His cheeks were dusted with a light pink as he looked away awkwardly. "Let's just get everyone and go..."

@TheHappyPikachu

Izaac looked at the girl concerned about her wings, she didn't look like she'd be able to fly. "If you can't fly make sure to tell someone okay? I don't want you to fly with a serious wound or you could make it worse, don't forget there's enough of us here to help each other fly." He said looking at woman hoping she would take his advice seriously, he didn't want to leave anyone behind no matter what. Sure it would be difficult to carry people bu at least they wouldn't be left behind to suffer whatever the scientists and guards would do, whether it be death or torture to interrogate them.

@FlameintheRoses

Noticing a boy who had been calling out orders before he wondered whether he should talk to him or not, he seemed annoyed that they hadn't listened to him. It wasn't that he personally wanted to ignore him but they had a plan not that they were doing much, and it looked like all the cells were open already. He wasn't the sort to yell for people to come or give orders so he remained quiet but watched him to see what he was going to do next.

@Maevu

Natalia felt a small tap on her shoulder and spun around preparing to defend herself against whatever horror was seeking her attention. She raised her fist as she spun, but her foot got caught in one of the guards ripped shirtsleeves and she started to topple backwards. Reflexively Nat grabbed the boys’ shirt in an attempt to stabilise herself, resulting in the two of them toppling into an open cell.

“Ooof!” The boy landed on top of Natalia and forced the air out of her lungs. She rolled to the side, the boy scrambling to get to his feet, and tried to suck in a breath. “Sorry.” She heaved. After another painful breath she picked herself up off the ground, holding her chest and using the wall for support. She allowed herself a few seconds of recovery before heading back out into the hallway. A few moments went by as Nat got herself back on track, walking towards the last unopened cell. She briefly questioned what had made the boy startle her like that and suddenly she recalled his words. From her position in front of the last unopened cell she turned her head towards him and said, “I’m Natalia.”

The boy mumbled to himself about how to extend the baton. He was right, the guards did always seem to control them with ease, but honestly Andre had no idea how to work them either. He internally chuckled as Lex unintentionally threw the weapon and ran to pick it up. Surprised at his own amusement, Andre contemplated how long it had been since he’d genuinely laughed out loud. Too long, he thought. He instantaneously decided to like the boy, Lex. Andre nodded as he spoke and returned the favour by replying, “Andre.”

Karie swiftly turned around to face the people in utter confusion, she wasn't used to so much talking... and whenever the guards or scientists spoke to them it was just brief messages and basic commands and ended up just kind of... nodding blankly at their comments and could clearly see how she wasn't the only one discomforted by all the interaction. "Ok then! let's, umm...go?.." she said before turning toward their desired route, she then once again made a switch and looked at Isaac "It's fine...really..." she said blushing again before stumbling over slightly and holding her head "Damn..dizziness...from you..." she muttered under her breath harshly and rubbed her stomach gently "Calm down will ya'? we gotta get out of here first. then, yo can muck around..." she giggled slightly to herself and awaited for the others to respond. @Kuroi01 @XxLuluxX @FlameintheRoses @Raypoint

Airo looked back at the others then to the door. so far it seemed everyone was working together fine some seemed a little awkward around others considering his...other half would have to get more and more use to others soon this would all have to be careful he could enplane later to them once they were safe. "So we make our way out fly away whats the plan than its not like all of us can really blend in.....We need to find someplace secluded to lay low..." He looked back to Karie. "Once we are out there we need to pick a direction who wants to lead? he called out to the others. He shook his head a few times his other half clawing its way back to consciousness. "Whats going on....." the voice echoed in his head Airo looked around this was all new to him once he had control of his body his other half ...hadn't been able to think or control himself. Aaron's hands shook he looked down seeing the blod soaking them along with the handcuffs. how log had he been out what was this the doctor. the scent of blood filled his nose He looked up at the others seeing some injured other with wings like him. "your...who are." Airo shook his head grabbing his stomach Keep it quiet Aaron now's not the timeI his thoughts echoing through his head. @Kuroi01 @XxLuluxX @FlameintheRoses @IG42 @TheHappyPikachu

Everyone seemed ready to go, and Kita decided to consider Karie the leader, since she actually knew the way out. Kita looked at her clothes, finally she would be able to wear something different. Something that had color from dye, not blood. She glanced at her wings, they seemed to have a mind of their own, so how would she hide them once they escaped? Sure, she could retract them, but they might randomly pop back out at any given time. 'I might have to either learn to control them or cut them off' she thought to herself. She cringed at the thought of having to cut her wings off, her wings had always been there for her. Even if they technically weren't people they still were the closest things to friends she had. 'I can control them somehow, I'm NOT cutting them off'. Kita realized she was lost in thought, so she shook her head and came back to reality. "Don't talk about freedom til you actually are free." She told herself.

As everyone began to move, following Karie, Kita started to feel as if she had something dragging her down, literally. Her eyes started to shut. 'No no no no, we can't just pass out right now, we're almost free!' She thought. Her body slowed down and sank to the ground, and the moment she hit the ground it was lights out. Kita knew she was dreaming now, she felt like she was flying, even though she was sure she was still lying slumped on the ground and most likely being left behind. "But.... Freedom, it was so close!" Kita's dream turned into a nightmare, as her happy surroundings turned into her cell again. But this time, she knew none of the other test subjects were around anymore. They left her. She was all alone in her cell with no escape. Kita started crying, "I was so close to freedom, and now I bet they didn't even realize I passed out! If only I had actually slept last night, I would've had energy to escape! I bet my real body is just snoozing on the floor for the doctors and guards to capture! NOOOO I WAS SO CLOSE!!!" She was stuck in her nightmare, unable to wake herself up.

Karie quickly turned back around to face Kita's slumped body on the ground as she heard her collapse, rushing back over to her "a-are you..ok?" she asked, concern filling her eyes as she gently shook her, bending down next to her with some effort and trying to get her to wake up, she looked around blankly for a moment, her wings fluttering slightly "does anyone know what happened?" she asked hopefully, not knowing the cause although from appearance's it just seemed that the girl was tired... she was too but... "dammit! normally...I would be able to carry her but-" she glanced down at her stomach and then back at the girl and cringed, frustration filling her slightly, she felt as though she was over-reacting to the situation but... she couldn't help it for the time being. @Kita

Lester listened quietly as the girl explained how her leg had gotten hurt. He couldn't fathom why she would endure more torture just to keep her hair long. It was probably a girl thing, he decided. He picked up his pace so they would catch up to the big group ahead. They seemed to know where they were going, however they kept stopping for various reasons. He glanced back at Lawrence, who seemed lost in thought. He remembered back to when they were with their 'parents'. They had been really close friends, doing everything together. Part of him was worried that they would have changed so much in the last 7 years that they couldn't be friends anymore. So far, they still seemed to be a good team though. "We need to catch up to that group. I bet they know the way out." Lawrence said, coming up beside Lester. "Do you want me to carry her for a while?" He asked, noticing that Lester seemed to be having trouble with one of his arms. "I guess, if you don't have any injuries that would make it too hard." Lester said, reflexively scanning his twin for injuries. Lawrence shook his head and held his arms out for the girl. Lester passed her over, rolling his shoulder and wincing a little. After a moment, they caught up to the last people in the big group of experiments. They both tried to listen in, in order to see if they had found the way out.

@CelestialBunny

Finn turned when he heard some sort of commotion breaking out behind him. Sensing something was not well he sprinted back to the group, spotting a girl unconscious on the ground.

"What happened?" He asked, his voice cracking with concern. Bending down and placing his hand on her wrist he searched for a pulse. "She's still breathing." He muttered before weaving his arms under her legs and lifting her gently into the air. "Let's go!" He called, grinning at the others. "I've got her now."

Emily followed on silently. She kept her eyes to the ground and only looked up every so often to avoid a body on the ground or to check that she wasn't falling behind. Freedom was so close, but she wouldn't feel at ease until they were as far as possible from this place.
