Realistic or Modern We're the Experiements

Izaac walked over to the woman a lot calmer now that the guards weren't paying attention to them, however it wouldn't last he knew that the scientists would be back and it was possible they'd do something that would stop anyone escaping ever again. Sighing he looked at the girl from before and noticed that she looked absolutely terrified, he had no experience with helping people when they were distressed and he wasn't sure anything he said would help. "Try to calm down, we're going to get out of here. When we do we can start our lives again." Was the best thing that he could come up with to comfort the girl, it wouldn't be good if she broke down in the middle of escaping. They all needed to focus if they wanted to get out of there, the girl could cry all she liked once they were out of this god forsaken place. Until then though she would have to keep going, they couldn't be safe here. They were freaks and they would never be safe in the hands of these, these creatures.

Hearing a banging from one of the cells he turned to the pregnant lady who he knew had a gun on her. "How many shots do you have left? I can hear someone in there." He said gesturing to the cell, he didn't have any weapon or keys so he couldn't do anything about the boy being locked in there right now. This annoyed the hell out of him not being able to do anything without help but he supposed that it was going to be a fact of life for them for a while.

Natalia continued to unlock doors. At first her hands were shaky, making it difficult to put the key into each lock. But as she moved on the shock began to wear off and she found herself unlocking doors so quickly that she was almost at the end of the hallway. Some of the experiments that she freed rushed straight into the action, fending off guards and allowing her time to safely let the rest of the experiments out. As she neared the end of the hall she saw three people looking in at the carnage. At first she noticed a girl who must have been albino judging by the paleness of her skin and the pink of her eyes. She stood the furthest away next to another female; this one held a gun and was covered in blood. There was a boy too. He was gesturing to one of the cells that Nat hadn’t unlocked yet.

Nat kept moving and stealing glances down the hall as she took the few steps from one cell to another. There wasn’t a clear path to the other end of the hall because the doors stood slightly ajar, but from what she could see and hear there were no guards left conscious and fighting. Nat sucked in a momentary breath of relief.

It wouldn’t last though. The scientists would send in more men, and Nat had no doubt that they’d each be heavily armed. At this point the scientists would be more worried about their experiments escaping and exposing their disgusting cruelty to the world. They would aim to kill, not to maim and control.

This realisation filled Nat with renewed energy and she hastened herself.

It was do or die.

Andre released his grip on a guards neck and the man fell to the ground. He scanned the hall looking for more threats but the only ones he found were motionless on the red and grey concrete. He saw two boys, obviously related, leading a younger girl down the hall towards where a few other experiments had started to gather. Most of the cells had been unlocked but Andre had the feeling that some of the experiments hadn’t realised that they were now able to get free. He quickly wiped his hands clean on his pants, which were now smeared with red, and ran a hand through his untidy brown hair to get it out of his eyes. After another swift glance around Andre took a hurried step towards one of the unlocked, still closed cells. He opened the door and peered in.

There wasn’t much time for formalities, and Andre didn’t often speak unless it was absolutely necessary so all he said was, “We need to go.”

Elizabeth was scared, not your normal scared it was like a life out death situation. She noticed a girl opening doors, a boy covered in red... blood and many dead guards. She didn't know where they were going, and why her leg hurt so much, I don't think i can walk much longer, she thought. Her leg finally failed and she fell in pain, "Ow" She didn't know what to do, she didn't feel like asking for help. So, she decided to try and get up on her own. When that failed, she used the wall, with its support she managed to limp and continue her escape.

Airo searched the body of the guard looking for the keys to the handcuffs not finding any. "Great...." He looked back at the others listening in. if they really thought that after what they had done or what he was going to do that they would be able to go to do anything that could be considered a normal life. They would be lucky to go off the grid and live in some sort of seclusion. He shook his head feeling his other side trying to pull itself back in control. "keep it together now." He whispered to himself. "Im stuck in theses cuffs we need to keep together and find an exit." He called out stumbling forward the the drugs getting to his head bad." he fell to his knees his thick black wings wrapping around his shoulders.

Lawrence turned back just in time to see the girl limping along. He coughed to alert Lester then nodded at her. Lester glanced over and saw that she had fallen and then started using the wall to walk. "I can carry you, if you want." He offered going over. Lawrence winced as he saw a guy covered in blood further down the hall. He glanced back at Lester and the girl, then back at the other experiments that were farther away. "We need to move." He said worriedly, knowing more guards would be sent soon.

Noticing a lady unlocking the door he sighed in relief that they wouldn't have to waste any of the bullets they had left, looking around he noticed that there were no guards currently fighting. They'd made it through the first wave without any major injuries, the next one that would come along would surely be ready to kill and highly capable. The only choice they had was to run now or not at all, however they'd have a higher chance of surviving if they stuck together. From what he'd seen these people were ready to risk their lives to help others so that was reassuring at least. "We need to go, do you think you'll be alright to run?" He asked the ladies hoping they wouldn't be too panicked or injured to go, none of them could afford to be slow or to hang around talking about plans. Unless someone already had an idea on how they were going to get out Izaac wasn't going to listen. This was their one chance of freedom and he was not going to waste it.

Airo shook his head quickly slumping onto the wall his vision going dark. He quickly shook his head trying to fight back whatever that doctor had pumped into him. He pulled again tugging at the cuffs. He let out a few shaken breaths. Guards would be coming out of the woodwork soon He wondered just how big this facility was for now he would play nice and work with the others in the position he was in he would not be able to escape alone. "If were going to do this we need to hurry before the guards move in we need to get to the outside I got a keycard that may work on the exits who wants it...I cant work with these cuffs on." His wings fluttered behind him in the small slits he made in the lab coat he grabbed.

Looked up at Izaac and nodded, sniffing as she wiped away the tears roughly, with the sleeve of her over-sized, cotton prisoners uniform. Penelope drew in small quick breaths, not far from hyperventilating, but the small girl was hardly made for the fast paced battle between guards and experiments. She clutched her hands to her chest and glanced around the other apparent survivors. Her small nose was red, her skin slightly irritated from rubbing her face. Penny didn't understand much. But she did understand that they had to get out.

Aavak held his fighting stance, trying to be ready for everything. Adrenaline running through his veins at the prospect of freedom, of open air, of the ability to learn without restraint. His body shaking from excitement, he took a few testing steps forward as chaos ensued outside. That is until he was almost with his head in the window when a face flashed in front of him, shocking him and causing him to swing his blade at the door, which just shattered it. The woman on the other side just gave him a puzzled look as she went to unlocking his door. Soon he heard a small click as the door was unlocked and the girl quickly went to the cell next to his.

He went to the door, leaning on it with a bit of force to get the heavy mass moving, only to duck inside and put his back to the door frame as he saw more people than he has ever seen in his life crowding the small hallway. He let out a shocked shout and jumped back into his room, clenching his eyes shut he began listening intently to what was happening, overhearing some sickening snaps and hits, and was that someone vomiting? "Alright then." Aavak said to himself as he tried to get the image of all the people out of his head, distracting himself following the advice a kind man and somehow familiar man gave to him in a dream.

Several moments pass and Aavak just waits and listens. He overhears talk of a pregnant woman, some names get passed around. Karie, Izaac, Noah. His compatriots, he hoped. The violence dies down, but not over, and talk of escape fills his ears as shuffling fills the cell block.

Steeling himself he peeks through the doorway again, noticing even more people his heart stops and his wings rustle. He ducks back inside and composes himself before exiting again. He steps into the hall and immediately tries to get some distance from the large group, noticing the lady that unlocked his cell moving down the hall, towards another man and two women, he stole a glance of a bloody gun in one of the farthest ladies hands, the other lady looking albino in appearance. He begins to head in their direction, He can handle four people. Maybe. Slinking between open doors, he keeps on pushing forward, now not far behind the lady who freed him.

Now only a few paces behind his liberator, Aavak notices another man join the group up ahead. His breath quickens and he stalls as he realizes he has to go through a group no matter how he exits. Picking up his pace again he catches back up and matches pace behind the lady, looking down and clenching his fists, trying to calm himself.

Karie nodded "heck yeah I can run...." she replied to Isaac, now completely recovered and in all honestly looked blankly and almost bored at the situation... not sure quite just how far she could run though... so many things were going on and her mind was spinning, fragments of memories appearing in her head of her host family and the things they've done to her in this facility but disappearing almost as quickly as they came "so..." she said, her almost pure white wings, tainted slightly violet it appeared fluttered awkwardly "I know where the exit is...well, at least somewhere we can escape from...I saw it once when the were, umm..." she blushed "it doesn't matter. just put it this way... because of...this..." she gestured to her stomach "I got...'special treatment' or privileges that you guys didn't...one of which being a lot more freedom as they..anyway..." she kept cutting off at strange points, uncomfortable with so many people around and twirling the gun around her fingers uneasily, she picks something up suddenly, glancing around and her wings spreading out completely, her enhanced senses signalling her of someone else presence 'who now?..' she asked herself within her mind. @XxLuluxX @Kuroi01 @Raypoint @Maniacal Muffin

He nods, it was good that they were ready to run. One guy had a key card so that would be very useful as well as the location. "It seems we have everything we need. Let's get the hell out of here." He said actually smiling a bit, he was so excited to be free and to be able to stretch his wings. The bits the lady cut out didn't make sense to him and he wished his host family had told him how babies naturally happened, but what he learned was extremely sheltered and all the books were on 'safe' subjects and tended to be about things on paper like numeracy and history. Nothing about the outside world besides what used to be there, even he knew it must have changed a lot since then. "Lead the way... Um, what are your names?" He asked realising that he didn't know any of their names to match their faces, even though he hated to do roll call knowing a person's name could be very important for communication as he was sure they wouldn't want to be called things like 'pregnant lady' or 'girl' all the time.

((OOC: Before we run off, can we please wait for those who haven't had time to write there character into this whole 'escape'? Some people are still in their cells. Please don't leave anyone behind.))

((OCC: of course!! I'm not actually planning to take us far/anywhere just yet, just continuing the story in a bit more of a casual sense as of now. (^U^)(:3))) @thatteaganchick

Karie sighed and walked next to him "Karie..." she said smirking "and you seem to be quite the curious person?...if you have any questions, just ask... I know quite a bit and considering how much time I spent around the scientist's know a bit of what's happening outside..." she stated staring at him blankly and stretching for no apparent reason, she turned around a corner and kept walking slowly, considering the possibility of another fight breaking out and how she ought' to save her energy..well.. that and.. 'other issues' she sighed again "today's been too much.." she muttered under her breath in a frustrated tone, generally she was a cheerful person but after all this fighting her personality had shifted as it sometimes did in situations such as these. @Kuroi01

((No problem ^^)) @thatteaganchick

"?Well it's nice to meet you Karie, also I'll ask you more questions after we get out of here. I don't think the information on how babies are natural created is really important right now, besides what's the point of thinking about kids if we don't even know if we are all going to make it out alive." He said sighing softly, there had been a lot more action than usual and it was kind of tiring. Not that the tests weren't but the whole escaping thing seemed so much bigger than he'd thought, especially since it wasn't just him, Karie and the girl getting out of there. Today would be the day either everyone escaped or everyone died, he really hoped that at least some got out. If they were just able to tell someone what happened the whole operation could be shut down and no one would have to live the way they had. Though he doubted it would be quite so simple, after all typically humans were unable to fly and new people might come after them after seeing them use their wings. Human's were such evil creatures.

Elizabeth hadn't noticed that the boys were watching her limping, when they asked to carry her, she blushed with embarrassment knowing that she really needed the help. Not wanting to seem weak and helpless, she tried her best to manage on her own. When that failed, she had no choice but to accept the boy's offer of being carried.

Karie nodded, now revering back to her, less serious and more cheerful self and blushing as he mentioned the stuff about babies "that..errr...y-yes!.." she said embarrassed and looking away, also taking into consideration their chances of surviving "well... if you have a mindset like that nothin' good will happen...try stay positive...k?.." she asked laughing a bit "though... last time I was out there I didn't have such a good time..." she said, a sorrowful smile filling her face as she thought back to it, her eyes turning cold and pained briefly as her wings flapped once strongly and pulled her jacket sleeves up slightly, revealing a bunch of scars going up her wrists, she quickly snapped out of the thoughts on her host family and covered them up, as she did so looking up and smiling at Isaac whilst rubbing her eyes, tears had obviously been forming in them "dammit.... pregnancy hormones..." she muttered... it quite clearly wasn't like that though as she tried to continue smiling. @Kuroi01 @XxLuluxX @Raypoint

"Sorry but I can't help but have a bit of a negative outlook on life, I'll try to be positive once we get out of here. For now I'm going to stick to my normal mindset, it's not the best in terms of mental health but the doctors visited me about that a lot... Good times." He said the last part almost venomously as he remembered how they talked to him about his host family, even going on and making the scars deeper to see how much emotional stress he would be able to take until he broke. Still they found ways of controlling him every time, he hated the shocks and he could still remember all the times they did it until he was all but dead. They'd stopped his heart multiple times by now but it always started again. "Are you sure it's just pregnancy hormones? Cause it looks more like you're thinking about all the times you've had here, privileged or not I doubt you had it any better than the rest of us except for guaranteed survival for most of it. You don't have to smile all the time you know, leave that for the sociopaths okay?" He said as a weak attempt to try and comfort her a little, it was clear she'd been scarred in more ways than one but she still wanted to remain strong and whilst he could understand the mentality trying to smile almost always made it worse. @TheHappyPikachu

Emily stared hesitantly at the others. Her eyes momentarily shifted once more back to her cell before she shook herself out of it and averted her gaze back on the others. “So what’s the plan here?” she blurted, her eyes betraying her fear. She could feel beads of sweat forming on her hair line and her heart felt like It was about to burst from her chest. Her wings fluttered nervously and she chose to ignore the blood that stained the tips of her feathers. Somewhere in her escape she had dragged them through some poor sods blood and she shuddered to think who’s it could be.

Finn stretched his arms behind his back and groaned as his bones cracked in protest. His face was shining with perspiration and his breathing was heavy and ragged. Rolling his shoulders, he turned to face the other experiment, giving him a grim smile. “I think that’s the lot for now.” He muttered, staring at the brutal scene of bodies before them. His satisfaction of revenge was quickly wearing thin and now all he could feel was a cold clutch in his belly as he regarded the men he had taken down.

Sighing deeply whilst dragging his hand heavily through his hair, Finn turned to face his others with concern clear on his face. “Is everybody out?” he rumbled, as he scanned the room and counted the fearful faces before him. “We need to get every door open before we blow this popsicle stand and I’m saying this now nobody and I mean nobody gets left behind!”

Marching forward he pointed to each and every door, doing his best to stay calm and indicate which doors were yet to be checked. “Anybody who is injured will need to be carried out, so those with some strength left help a fellow experiment out because from now on we are all in this together and let me tell you it’s not going to get any easier from here on out.”

Karie nodded to Isaac and sighed "I know...but." She paused, looking up blankly at nothing in particular before facing him again "I think...that if I didn't smile...I wouldn't..be able to take the pain anymore.." She said slowly between breaths, you could tell just by listening the pained and honest words carried through that sent an e as the smile remained on her face "you know, even though some may think it strange...I'm so happy that I'm never alone...even if it was for some experiment..it gave me a reason to continue...before...I just thought, keep smiling..and if I do?...or day something nice will happen..that's what the old lady taught me anyway.." She said rubbing her stomach gently, the smile seeming less forced now as she started humming a song a mumbled some lyrics in Japanese "Ashita kuru hi.." The few words in English were at the very start and end of the tune which she spoke, almost singing but not quite... "I can feel your warm embrace, braking through the clouds to save the day..." And "Tomorrow will be brighter so for now let's say our prays and sleep..." She finished and once again sighed, her angelic wings gently curling around her, her voice was amazing in the few words she sang during that tune, it sounded so free and careless...almost as if it was flying. @Kuroi01 @XxLuluxX @Raypoint

Airo followed behind the others listening in on there conversations. He shuddered falling to his knees managing to catch himself before hitting the floor his glowing red eyes going back to the normal green. "w...whats going on......" He asked weakly noticing the blood his heart starting to race. "w What happened?" his voice was very weak it felt like he had been out cold for some time a few flashes running through his mind before his other half took back control his eyes turning back red. He hoped he would be able to keep control longer if that idiot was in control the guards would surely take them it would soon be necessary to take full control of this body. Karies lyrics made him feel a little relaxed for the time being but he wanted out of her as soon as possible He coughed a few times managing to get back to his feet he flapped his wings a few times shaking his head. "I really hate to stop the conversation but we need to move soon." he said hoiping the others hadn't seen his little outburst...his wings hugging him close. @Kuroi01 @XxLuluxX

Karie turned around and nodded at the boy "don't worry...we will.." She said smiling and raising an eyebrow at him for a Moment before shaking her head "and..if you don't mind me asking what just?-" she cut off and sighed "you know what? Never mind. It seemed...personal..." She said, her enhanced senses had picked up the whole thing, and she was already on alert for anything suspicious as things stood.

She turned her head quickly towards a door, opening it and staring at the quivering guard, he looked...so young... He wasn't armed, she could tell that, nor did his reactions show any signs of attacking, Karie went right up to him, crouching down and staring him in the eyes, her wings folding up behind becuase of the closed-in space, it was almost a cupboard where they sat "what's wrong?..." She asked blankly, almost curious "st-stay away from me! Please! I swear, I won't do nothing! Just..spare me.." He stuttered and Karie sighed "I won't hurt ya'..." She replied lazily to him "I'm just gonna make you unconscious for a little bit..ok?.." She smiled and the guard nodded slowly, clearly terrified as he braced himself, Karie merely tapped him on a couple of spots around the neck and he collapsed, not dead but he certainly wouldn't be waking up for a while...

She the turned back around to the others and stared blankly for a few moments before managing to get up with a fair bit of effort "that's it...I'm never bending down again.." She said sarcastically, she wasn't to far into the pregnancy by the looks of it.. But defiantly enough for it to show quite clearly and give her some unwanted effects to go along, she walked back over to the group after shutting the door behind her, still keeping up the foolish smile. @Raypoint @Kuroi01 @XxLuluxX

Airo watched walking up to her. " It's none of my business you seem like you have this sort of in charge but knocking him out is a mistake." He glanced at the cowards "hiding" spot. " We should walk him out of here at gunpoint it's not like he is going to fight back....you think he would of done the same for you?" He grinned they taken a lot from us we deserve revenge for this."

Kita had slowly started to lose attention and was zoning out and imagining how her life would be once she escaped. She closed her eyes and smiled. 'Freedom' she whispered to no one. She stopped zoning out and looked around at the different groups that had formed. It seemed the group she was in had hardly even noticed her. 'Maybe I never actually spoke words, maybe I accidentally only thought them...' she reasoned. She looked down at her hands and shirt, 'But wouldn't they notice all the blood? They probably wouldn't believe it was all from a nosebleed anyways'. She didn't know why, but Kita was drawn to one of the groups farther down the hallway, it somehow seemed safer.

Kita decided to see why she was drawn to it, so she began walking down the hallway towards it. The group she was drawn to had a few test subjects, one of them seemed pregnant. She was a few feet away from them and really awkwardly asked, "Hey.... um, could I join... your group?" Kita felt red in the face, she was awful at actually talking to people, no matter who it was it was just hard to talk normally. She lifted her arm and scratched the back of her head. Her wings retracted instead of hugging her, so she figured she wasn't actually all that terrified at the moment.

Evelynn stopped her concentration, heading toward the bloodied group of experiments. Her back had ached horribly from the punishment, and still had not been treated to recover. "Maybe, if there is a courtyard here... we could escape through there." She suggested to the odd group of experiments. The pregnant girl had worried her, since she's heard of a story about her host mother having a miscarriage, the reason why Evelynn was adopted. She discontinued her worries, and continued on her plan of escape. "I... I heard about courtyards when someone I knew went to prison... My mom t-told me.." The paleness of her face was replaced with red, blushing of embarrassment from her story of her host family. Her hand reached to tug on her shoulder, as a nervous tick, and froze. The pain of the wound she had when she was beaten down from the guard had increased at that moment. Her eyes squinted slightly, as she hissed quietly at the pain.

'Damn guards...'

She then smiled at the group, hoping that this wound would not bring them down from the escape plan.

'I'll tough it through, no matter the cost. Even if the cost is my own life, as long as the others escape.'

Izaac nodded in understanding of what Karie was saying. "I guess you're right about that, and after all everyone has their own ways of staying strong. I think you'd make a good mother Karie, I really mean that too. I mean if you can help calm people down when their lives are in danger I'm sure you'd be able to calm a crying child." He said smiling a bit, he'd been surprised when she simply knocked out the guard instead of killing him and he hoped that the man would choose a new career path. If anyone asked he could just blame it on the trauma, even if these people had hurt them that didn't make another child any less of a child. Children deserved the chance to grow up and become something, sometimes it can be hard to choose right with bad influences and vice versa. But if you kill a child young you never know what could've been. @Kita @FlameintheRoses
