Evelynn smiled at the boy who gave her advice, nodding to him in agreement. "I'll do what I can to resist flying... but I must be able to carry on by myself. At least until we fly." She spoke with a stern look on her face, determined to be strong and carry on. It surprised her how determined and happy she was at that moment at the thought of freedom. Freedom from all the pain, suffering, and torture. The thought of it filled her with joy, and the wanting to forget everything that everything that happened to her over the years. But she knew that she wouldn't ever forget the pain of the past, especially from this place. The thoughts of the past turned her to a fearful person, which she didn't want to be, but couldn't help it. @Kuroi01

Evelynn followed the group, carefully looking around for any guards. All she could here was the sirens blaring from another section of the place that many named as a laboratory, along with the conversations between the others. The only name she could give for this place suited the way the doctors and guards treated the experiments, Hell on earth. Her back ached with pain, stinging with each movement she made. She bowed her head while walking, her vibrant, long red hair dropped in front of her face as she looked to the ground. What if we don't make it out? The question repeated itself in her head as she stayed with the group. Just thinking of what would happen was unbearable. Don't think, just... walk. Escape. Then think. In her attempt to motivate herself, she lifted her head, and brushed the long, red strands of hair out of her face. She then looked around at the odd group, and smiled. If they can brave it out, then so can I.

He nods in understanding. "Yeah I understand, the point is if you need help you'll get it." He said simply, he wanted her to know she had help if she needed it. After making his point he stays quiet, he sucked at interaction and all he wanted to do was get out of there as soon as possible. Hanging around talking was doing nothing and he was starting to get even more impatient.

@FlameintheRoses

Not even a second after Aavak taps the girl's shoulder does he finds himself being tugged forward by the girl he tapped, not without a somewhat impressive twirl that almost ended up with a fist in Aavak's face. Instinctively he tries to brace himself, but alas, he fails. He only ends up flaring his large wings, giving him more force as he lands on the girl. She lets out a pained grunt as the majority of Aavaks weight gets pressed into her lungs, most likely forcing the air out.

With a push, Aavak rolls off of her, as she rolls the opposite direction and they both move to get up. It takes a moment, be he realizes that they fell into a cell, and he soon dusts himself off without a second thought. He hears a strained apology from the girl. "There is no ill" he replies, almost mechanically. He then watches the girl recover attentively, waiting for an answer to his question. She recovers and steps out of the cell before looking back and giving her name as Natalia. "And I am Aavak." He says back before heading back out, in to the hall.

He looks around and gets another shock from seeing so many people and jumps back in to the cell. He does menage to notice a group beginning to leave, so walks back up to Natalia rubbing together shaky hands.

Aavak loudly gulps and takes a deep breath, now realizing how long since he last had a drink. "W-We should exit. There is no use staying, it only gives time for enemy preparation! and planning." He says, shouting from nervousness and and whispering directly after, no doubt making himself look at least partially insane. He haphazardly motions towards the group that is beginning to leave, looking to Natalia expectantly.

Kita was still trapped in her nightmare, but started talking in her sleep. She looked around her cell, forgetting she was asleep, she really thought she was back in her cell. She stared at the door, expecting the doctors would come soon. Sure enough, the door carefully opened by a cold hearted doctor. He laughed at Kita, and the sound flooded her ears, as if the world was laughing at her. "No one came back for you, you're all alone with no hope." He laughed even louder. She covered her ears because the noise hurt her mind and ears. "Stop laughing at me!" she shouted, her wings hugging her tightly. But he didn't stop, the whole thing seemed to amuse him. Two guards entered the room and grabbed her by each arm. "Get off me! Let me GO!" She elbowed one guard and tried to choke the other, but the doctor already had the sedative at the ready. He calmly strode to her and called the needle into her neck. Kita felt the strength slowly leave her and all went black, but she could still see herself getting dragged. "Out of body experience...?" She asked herself.

Moments later she found herself in an experimentation room.

((OOC: Would've finished sooner but a cricket got in, now go take it to the OOC thread, you're confusing people into thinking there's an actual post.))

"Andre." Lex tasted the name grinning sheepishly, turning it over in his mind, he'd found that if he didn't use a name just after hearing it, he would forget completely in a minute, Andre seemed friendly enough in spite of how bloody he was, though Lex made sure to walk at his side so that the older male would have to swing the barrel of the shotgun right round before it could point at him.

Looking around at rest of the motley group Lex saw that it was actually quite large now, his attention was drawn to three people in particular: A girl who seemed unconscious at first but was speaking as if she was still enduring the years of torture, one of the others was carrying her and he had no idea what else to do with her short of prodding until she woke up. Sparing a shorter glance for another boy who yelled and whispered his opinion in quick succession his gaze settled on the back of a girl ahead of him.

Red, I don't remember seeing anyone with red hair in person before. Lex thought to himself staring dumbly at the redhead. It's really long too, beautiful. Without realising he had been moving closer reaching out his free hand, wondering what it would feel like. Snapping free of the half trance he'd fallen under so easily Lex pulled his hand back and pressed it against his chest feeling it clench into a fist and tremble as his yearning for contact with another living being clashed with the years of pain stemming from every touch. Stumbling a little in his haste to move away the boy leaned against the wall for a moment, breathing deeply while trying not to sob at the emotional turmoil

Lester listened quietly as the girl explained how her leg had gotten hurt. He couldn't fathom why she would endure more torture just to keep her hair long. It was probably a girl thing, he decided. He picked up his pace so they would catch up to the big group ahead. They seemed to know where they were going, however they kept stopping for various reasons. He glanced back at Lawrence, who seemed lost in thought. He remembered back to when they were with their 'parents'. They had been really close friends, doing everything together. Part of him was worried that they would have changed so much in the last 7 years that they couldn't be friends anymore. So far, they still seemed to be a good team though. "We need to catch up to that group. I bet they know the way out." Lawrence said, coming up beside Lester. "Do you want me to carry her for a while?" He asked, noticing that Lester seemed to be having trouble with one of his arms. "I guess, if you don't have any injuries that would make it too hard." Lester said, reflexively scanning his twin for injuries. Lawrence shook his head and held his arms out for the girl. Lester passed her over, rolling his shoulder and wincing a little. After a moment, they caught up to the last people in the big group of experiments. They both tried to listen in, in order to see if they had found the way out.
@CelestialBunny
She knew she was holding them back, she heard them talk about other injuries and she blushed with embarrassment. One of them was hurt and she was using there help to walk. "I'm so sorry, are you hurt? I'll try to walk in my own. If you need me too" she said with a forced smile. "I let them torture me for my hair because it's the only color in my room. The chocolate brown and the neon blue remind me of my outside life" she said reading his reaction on her hair.

Lester looked over at the girl as Lawrence helped her walk. "No, I'm fine. I have an old injury that acts up every now and then. It's nothing really." He said, and even though it was a more recent wound there was no need for her to know that. He looked back forward, glad that they had caught up to the larger group. It had been a while since there were any guards so that probably meant more would show up soon. It would be easier to protect the injured girl if it wasn't just him and Lawrence.

Lawrence tried to make sure most of the girl's weight was on him. He wished he could carry her to make it easier on both of them. After all, he was quite a bit taller so he had to bend over and she had to stretch up to reach his shoulder, which couldn't be fun for her. However, it might make her uncomfortable if a stranger was to carry her. He used his free hand to brush his hair out of his eyes. It had been a while since his last haircut, which was nice because he could see the color. "I guess we are lucky to have red hair." He said quietly in response to her comment. He had never liked the fact that people colored their hair, but in her case it was a good thing so she would have something other than white to look at.

Boots.

Natalia could hear boots on the concrete. The sound echoed towards the hallway, getting louder by the second. The reinforcements had arrived. Instantly Nat took off down the hall towards the group of other experiments. “They’re coming!” She yelled as she ran. She tugged on Aavak’s hand as she ran past, pulling him around to face the direction she was running and hopefully, she didn’t have time to check, he’d started sprinting behind her.

“Go, go, go!” She called as she darted past the group of huddled experiments. From what she’d heard, one of them thought they knew the way out and apparently it was quite simple. That didn’t sit right with Nat. From her experience the facility was more like a maze and the hallway with their cells was right in the centre.

Taking a left, Nat followed a short corridor until it ended in a ‘T’ intersection. Without stopping to contemplate which direction to go Nat swerved to the right and barely had enough time to stop herself from running into a closed door.

Slightly startled, Nat quickly weighed her options. This door could lead to a way out... or it could be filled with guards. She bit her lip in thought and turned to check behind her for the other experiments before making the decision that she would take the risk. With a tentative grasp on the handle she turned it quickly and pushed the door away from herself, causing it to fly open.

It was a testing room. It contained two things; a plain white chair with leather straps designed to restrain hostile experiments, and a stainless steel table with a neat arrangement of knives on top. Natalia took a few brisk steps towards the table and picked up two medium-sized throwing knives. They were double edged and made out of silver. Although she didn’t want to harm anybody it felt good to hold some sort of protection in her hands. Quickly Nat exited the testing room and commenced her search for an exit. She was determined to find a way out and escape along side the other experiments.

The girl heard the guards a split second before Andre did. As she ran past and the other experiments started to move, he decided to bring up the rear of the group and make sure nobody was left behind. There seemed to be a few problems aside from the obvious 'being hunted by guards'. One girl was unconscious, another was clearly injured, and there was a pregnant girl. What a motley crew, he thought. They didn't know each other, yet they were putting their lives on the line to save one another. As he followed the others Andre noticed one of the girl's wings. They were streaked with blood but somehow still very beautiful.

He suddenly realised, amongst all the death and violence, that the assortment of individuals around him would quickly become his family.

Air kept up with the others his bare feet padding the cold floor. He looked back at making his way to the lead the others checking rooms than ahead wondering just where they were going. "whats the plan we need to find an exit fast!" he called ahead his wrists were killing him bruised from the tight handcuffs on him. He followed along something pounding in his head Aaron panicking on the inside of his mind. Just where are you taking me? he asked himself. He reached out for the door pulling it open the but of a shotgun slamming into the side of his head dropping him. Aaron fell back a deep cut on the side of his face a deep cut over his right eye another on his cheek. He fell back the guard decked out in some advanced riot gear "contact!" the guard yelled out aiming down at him.

Shifting his grip on the girl, Finn watched her in silence as she squirmed and mumbled incoherent words in her unconscious state. He wondered what she dreamt of and if it was something he should be trying to rouse her from. He itched to be the one leading the group, but he dared not to complain. Besides the red head, Natalie was it? Seemed to be leading them out just fine on her own.

His gaze shifted back to the sleeping girl and he wondered again if he should be make some sort of attempt to wake her sleeping form. "Hey?" he murmured, gently poking her in the side. "You gotta wake up little Miss, were going be flying on out of here soon and you're missing all the fun!" he chuckled, lifting her hand and waving it like a puppet in the air. "It's not exactly the best time to be taking a nap."

@Kita

Emily looked on as the red head Natalie darted into another room. She waited hesitantly for her to reappear before peeking inside the room. Her heart almost jumped out of her chest when she spotted the instruments. Pausing, she glanced behind at the other experiments before turning again to step further into the room. The others hadn't overly seemed to have noticed her, so she took her time examining the remaining instruments on the table. She shuddered as she looked over them and remembered what each had been used for over the years she had been in the institute.

Running her hand over the cool steel of the of knives and sharp objects before her she decided it would really be in the best interest for all of them to have a weapon to protect themselves. Spotting a small carry bag she quickly dragged the contents of the table inside it, winching as they clanged together causing a loud echo around the room.

Taking one last glance around the room, Emily swung the bag over her shoulder and darted quickly out the room hoping the others hadn't gotten far as she raced to catch up to them.

Run. Fly. Freedom! The only words she could think of as she walked, following the group. The girl with short, red hair began to sprint, which caused most of the team to do the same. Unlucky for Eve, she couldn't run too far, or she'd tire herself out to the point of injury.

Evelynn heard a motion behind her, turning to see a boy leaning against a wall. "Y-you're okay, we'll make it!" She smiled at the boy, then grabbed his hand. Once she grabbed his hand, she guided him through the hallway as she jogged. It was hard to keep up with the team with an injury. The middle of her back burned like hell when she moved, yet she felt the need to pull through and ignore the pain. She hissed slightly at the pain as she jogged, biting her lip as it increased throughout the middle of her back.

Evelynn glanced back to the boy once they all stopped for a moment, unsure of why he acted so strangely earlier. It was almost as if he saw a ghost, or maybe something amazed him. She wasn't sure about it at all. Before they would move again, she let go of his hand. "S-sorry.." It felt unnatural to her to have human contact that didn't involve pain, and it felt quite nice. Even if she was just holding his hand to get him through the hallway with the group, it was... nice.
