Sherwood Sherwood

She is new dice in general, so no experience with exalted. But I can help her through it.

Her concept is as thus, and some based of of the Firekeeper from Dark Souls, sort of maining towards medicine and fire stuff:

"Maybe she was a loyal priestess of the sun. The caretaker of a hidden shrine to the sun goddesses. Keeping hidden and its flame always lit. A lineage of priestesses loyal to the goddess, and trying to keep her light going in these trying times.

But the empire does eventually find out and ruins everything. They burn the shrine to ground after locking her inside.

But the goddess of the sun has other plans for her. The goddess of the sun visits her while she is surrounded by flames, and gives and blesses her. Exalting her. Tasking her to always keep the light alive.

Sherwood Sherwood , I have a massive amount of loose threads to address in the timeskip. Much of it is work to be delegated. I'll have to write it out this evening when I have more time to plot it all out.

Would she be against the idea of playing a Lunar? We have a bunch of Solars at the moment, but only one Lunar Pc (Sirocco). If not, I can figure out something.

No worries. We have plenty of time.

I dont think she would be against it!

Would she be able to do a similar concept with a lunar? I'm not very familiar with them.

Instead of a priestess of the Sun, she could be a No Moon Priestess of the Moon.

There are three Casts for the Lunars, not five. A Full Moon is like the Dawn Caste of the Solars; mighty warriors. The Changing Caste are the tricksters and connivers of the group, and the No Moon are the loremasters, priests and sorcerers of the lot.

Also, I also got some threads i would need some clarification on. But i suppose that i would assume that the King would indeed put Ragnar as a retainer and a lot of what he would be doing is worrying about the defense and militia of the city?

Yes. Each Lunar is bound to a single Solar as a Bonded Pair.

When you run into your Bonded Lunar/Solar, you feel an instant connection between the two of you. The Solar has the advantage in the bond, even if the Lunar is older and more powerful than the Solar.

It is a part of the Exalted history and lore that in the First Age, one of the more famous Solars named Desus used to beat his Lunar wife so badly that she miscarried several children of his, and there is nothing she could do to stop it because they were a bonded pair.

Player wise, it is a mutual decision. Both players need to agree to this. Sirocco and Heaven are a bonded pair, for instance. If the two of you would like, she can start out as your bond mate.

Interesting. I'll see what she has to say about it. Anything you would like her to know about being a lunar?

They are super shape-shifters, and with the right Knacks, they can take on any form they wish to. Including insects as small as a gnat, a person, or an elephant the size of a skyscraper. It does require that they kill the creature and drink the hearts blood of the being.

The easiest way to introduce her is that she was a part of your followers coming to Gwynnin, and during the big fight we just wrapped up, she was protecting the mortals under your charge.

Are lunars capable of doing other things? The sort of different things that Solars are save for with a shapeshifting slant?

I'll try to do some research on them when I get the chance.

The big difference in their powers is that Solars are able to buy Excellencies for their Abilities. Instead, Lunars buy Excellencies for their Attributes, being able to boost their stats.
