Sherwood Sherwood I was wrong about the anima banner effect I mentioned before. I had gotten it backwards.

Th Dawn gets a +2 DV if opponent is less Valor than he, the enemy does not get -2 DV. Sorry about that.

No worries. You guys are owning this fight, and all I can do is to make the victory a bit more difficult for youl

Also, I was rereading over some stuff. And the -2 mobility is a -2 to dodge dv. Not that it matters much since Parry is his go to thing.

Posting all my math and stuff now.

Why not try to use him as a shield? :horns:
Because I have other more painful plans for him mwuhuhu....

Also, I didnt know I could! I suppose that would be a stunt?

Though... picking him up to block the things with... would put me in a right position to do what I wanted to next...

lol I was waiting for someone to ask about that. You have two choices here. You can let go and use your normal Parry, or you can try to use the Sidereal as a shield. He will be resisting this (obviously), but you have control of him in the clinch right now, so I'll let you try to do so with a stunt.

Psh, let go. Ragnar would sooner tank the blows than let go.

But manhandling the sidereal sounds like more fun. We shall do that.

Few questions!

1. What does Speed affect? I cant find its significance.

2. Is using normal Movement and Attacking considered a multi action? I believe I read movement was reflexive and didnt have a dv penalty, I just wanted to clarify.

3. What is temporary Willpower? Does it go away after so long, and if so, how long?

4. The book said something about a recovery of motes or willpower upon level 2+ stunts. And recovering willpower when a stunt is used to further a motivation. Do you employ that?

5. Ragnar has the Valor flaw of berserk anger, as such his limit condition is being belittled/demeaned/insulted. I'd imagine this doesn't apply to petty stuff like "you suck", but rather taunts from folk in important circumstances like a potent baddie claiming he enjoyed killing a loved one and they deserved it. When will I know when to roll a limit break?

1. What does Speed affect? I cant find its significance.
It is a measure of how quickly after your action you get to go again. Most Charms are Speed 5, so if you act on Tick 6, your next turn comes up on Tick 11. Some actions or weapons are rated at different speeds, to reflect that a person can use a dagger faster than a person wielding a greatsword.
2. Is using normal Movement and Attacking considered a multi action? I believe I read movement was reflexive and didnt have a dv penalty, I just wanted to clarify.
I rule that a short movement can be made with an attack action as a part of it without having to flurry the attack.
3. What is temporary Willpower? Does it go away after so long, and if so, how long?
It usually lasts for the duration of the Scene, then if it is not used by then, it is gone.
4. The book said something about a recovery of motes or willpower upon level 2+ stunts. And recovering willpower when a stunt is used to further a motivation. Do you employ that?
Yes. Many Charms require the use of Willpower to fuel them, and the benefits of using Willpower are many, so being able to recover spent points is a bonus.

I have not been using Limit Break in this game, but in other situations, it requires you to build up your Limit until you have ten points, then you go into Limit Break and suffer from the effect of your Virtue Flaw.

I'd have offered the Air Immaculate a chance to surrender, but he struck me as too hard a sell to be worth the effort at this point. I don't think he'd have taken it. The other two clearly have a care for the value of life.

On the other hand, we also have loot, so I'm curious to see if the Sidereal had any interesting special effects on his person.

Hmm... 40 sure is a lot of points. Essence would be nice, but I have a lot of actual Eclipse charms to catch up on after all this Dawn-Caste pretend :x

I'm torn. I want to get my Essence up in order to get the Form Charm for Sapphire Veil of Passion style, but there are a ton of other Charms/Attributes to get.

40 is 5 charms worth, it certainly is a hard choice to make. Especially when 2 of those could help me complete the 2008 simulator plan.

I think I'm going to go for a balance of things rather than the knee-jerk 5 bureaucracy charms I was going for.

I'm thinking...
Hastening Night's End - Will allow me to better deal with elder Lunars, Wyld mutants, so on
Indolent Official Charm - Slows down a bureaucracy.
Foul Air of Argument Technique - Permanent organizational curse.
Durability of Oak Meditation - Soak and Hardy keyword
Iron Kettle Body - More soak and Hardy keyword

An alternative would be to grab Speed the Wheels and Bureau-Rectifying Method in the event we start getting astrological curses, but I specifically made a legislative house of essence users to crap on Sidereals trying to drop malicious destinies on us. Curious to whether I should expect to have to play offense, defense or both anytime soon.
