Realistic or Modern Time to Forget OOC

Thats pretty interesting, I guess it would make the character's recovery also pretty realistic in real terms! A mental illness I'm surprised hasn't appeared much yet is Bipolar Disorder (type 1 or 2) Though Ive seen the mention of it in a few descriptions. I also haven't seen much of Asperger's syndrome, autism, ADHD, or borderline personality disorder.

Thank you very much! My best friend and ex boyfriend suffer from eating disorders so I know a lot about the recovery process. I thought I'd give the mental illness a try.

i really like Marley as well--i thought you did an awesome job of explaining her personality and how it is tied to her mental illness without stereotyping or romanticizing it. i'm so sorry about your friend and ex.

Thank you for the compliment! My ex and best friend are doing much better now. Of course, ed is baggage you have to carry around for the rest of your life unfortunately.

we can't have that! poor Kerry. he would have to be much more patient and careful about it. unfortunately subtlety is not his strong suit...

Jude seems to have such sweet and innocent intentions towards everyone, I'd like to see how he'd interact with people whom aren't quite as sweet as him XD. Whats his real issues? Anxiety? He doesn't seem to have any really aggressive inclination or mood swings, so I'd throw out Bipolar Disorder, schizophrenia, or any temporary or permanent mood swing mental illnesses! Am I right?

I'm still debating between a couple since I want to be able to understand the illness enough so I don't play it out wrong if that makes any sense?

autism/aspergers don’t really come under the umbrella of mental illness because you’re born with it and it doesn’t mean your brain functions poorly, it just functions differently.

i know because me and my best friend are both on the autism spectrum! ?

also people with OCD can be really messy! it’s more the cycle of obsessive thoughts and quelling compulsions that defines OCD than tidiness or cleanliness like most people think.

Bipolar disorder is one of my favorite mental illnesses to portray, as weird as that may sound? Mostly because I am bipolar IRL, and so I know how to do it (at least I hope XD) I was toying with the idea of Lissa being bipolar from the loss of her dad, and then lover

I've dealt with alot of loss throughout the years, which is why I try to be understanding of what others go through. I can def understand daddy issues!
