Fantasy The War

The shock was obvious upon the elf's eyes. It wasn't often that Raeghal found himself at a loss of words, and the sensation made him confused. He opened his mouth to apologize once more, but then he realized that this was exactly what Svenja meant.

He stood quiet for a few moments, looking at the dark kingdom ahead of them. Had he allowed this to happen? Probably. His family had pushed him to be more professional and distant, and he had unconsciously followed their orders.

But Queen Svenja deserve more than a simple servant.

"Svenja." His voice was deep as he held her hand, using her first name without the necessary formalities for the first time. "You're right,of course. I let distance grow between me and you. It's...hard for me to see myself as more than a servant sometimes, but I know that isn't what our relationship is. You are my closest friend, and you treat me like an equal. I should do the same. And there is nothing I want more than go back to the way we once were."

He leaned forward and wrapped Svenja into a tight hug, ignoring any boundaries that he could be breaking. Svenja didn't need another servant. She needed his friendship.

Friends...

Weirdly enough, that word didn't seem to be an exact definition to their relationship. He always felt like they were...more. But what could he feel for his Queen if not friendship? @Ami the breadling

Demetrius Drake

Demetrius didn't seem fazed by the menial task, quite the opposite. He mentally summoned a few of his brood, who appeared immediately, about ten of them. "Pick up the bodies. Treat them with care and respect. If you see anything that hints of the Water Kingdom, collect it and bring it to me when you are finished." They began to walk, and he cleared his throat, bringing them back. "If any of you so much as think of feeding on these bodies, I will personally flay you alive. Is that clear?" He said, voice low and threatening. They nodded, working alongside the soldiers at ten times the speed. He turned back to the queen, head up.

"It will be done, Your Majesty. My men will work with the quickest of ease, and they are loyal, obedient. None will disobey my orders." He assured her quietly. He turned and picked up the nearest body, fully willing to get his hands dirty.

Svenja had just sheated her sword, when she felt his hand. She heard him call her by her name, not her title. Svenja turned around to look into his eyes. She heard his entire speech and blushed to a deep crimson. "Raeghal... You... you are the most important person in my life.", she whispered, her head hidden in his shoulder. "If you got killed... I would... I couldnt..." Svenja began to silently cry at just the imagination.

The sheer... eagerness in the whelp was almost enough to make bile rise in this throat, if he still had the capability to do such. Such beings came and went as they fell in and out of favor, only he, only Arkos, was a constant, and he was more then a little pleased she had taken his advise and sent the vampire off to do the task and so free up one of his Wights to do more important work.

"Adeliza, some... Vampires shall be taking over the clean-up. Search the harbor for survivors or any remaining foes. You may use the local guard and soldiers as well as the other Wights if it will aid in your search."

With that dealt with, he was free to return to what he was doing before... running his fingers through her hair and imagining the feel as he allowed his body to relax.. or, well, the closest thing a skeletal body could get to 'relaxation' when they no longer felt 'relaxed' nor 'tense'.

Adeliza

Adeliza nearly dropped a body when she heard Arkos' voice. She immediately laid it on the ground, turning and walking in the other direction. She didn't need help, she was perfectly capable. Her front was covered in blood, but she barely noticed. Things like that didn't bother her. She searched, trying to imagine where the Siren or anyone could be hiding. It didn't take her long, she could almost sense the sea in the Champion's blood.

"Bryn Maeve." She spat when she caught sight of the Siren.

@ThatOneWeirdo

"very well my sire, a wise choice if it is your decision" he said before bowing "i shall leave for the quanni kingdom, i won't take long, just a quick enchantment on my wakizashi" he said before leaving the palace. he then goes onto a boat heading to the direction of the quanni kingdom for exporting goods with his horse.

the ship harbors on the port of the quanni kingdom, at Nubar. he gets off the boat and travels around the city. it was rare to see any humans in the quanni kingdom as the common species are vampires, werewolves, demons and etc, especially that human being the human kingdom's champion.

he goes to rashihimar on his horse, the town of mages for quanni. he goes into one shop which he has relation too. he enchanted his wakizashi with a sharpness spell and enchanted his katana too have more endurance, of course he had heard rumors about quanni kingdom being the kingdom with the biggest crime rates, hopefully the queen doesnt notice his presence

Bryn Maeve

Bryn heard the voice and whipped around, eyes widening slightly when she saw the rather beautiful woman in front of her.

"I've heard of you. The vain Wight, the bitch of the bitch of Bellatrix." Bryn scoffed, hand twitching toward her sword. "I'm offended. I'm the Champion of the Water Kingdom, and they send me a slave. I expected more."
Tina held onto him tightly and enjoyed the flight. It was nice, she happily laughed. "I am a bird! I am a bird!", she happily exclaimed. Then she got scared as they were so very high. "Its so high! What if i fall down!", she said and hid her face in Alexanders back. "I dont wanna anymore! I dont wanna!"
"Tina! remember what I said earlier! Even if its scary, you need to have faith. I will not drop you, and this experience will make you stronger." Alexander on the other hand, did not see the queen's champion anywhere so he decided that the next best possibility was to wait at the castle. "I'm taking us to the castle, hang on. We should wait there until we hear of your father."

Adeliza

Liza stiffened, fury flowing through her. She drew her sword with an awful grating sound, trying to calm herself.

I have found the enemy Champion, Arkos. Do you wish her dead or alive?

To stall the Champion, Liza took a step forward. "I assure you, Siren." Liza spat the word as if it was an insult. "The Champion is busy cleaning up your mess. I am perfectly capable of ripping out your heart." She snarled.

The bitch of the bitch of Bellatrix. Just the words enflamed her anger. She was nobody's bitch. She took the orders because she had to. Her purple eyes flamed with rage.

@ThatOneWeirdo @Cosmo

Bellatrix shook her head slightly before turning to immediately look up at Arkos. She didn't want to see and carnage again..not even if it was being cleaned up. She could stand it, so instead she look look into the hollows of Arkos's eyes and enjoy the feeling his his hand in her hair. She may not be able to feel much, but someone playing with her long hair was always welcome. It was a rather calming sensation, and had she been alive, she would be covered in goosebumps. "Mmm, you know that's one of my weaknesses.." She teased playfully, trying her best to distract from the situation and calm down so she could try and organize her thoughts rather than exhaust herself being angry at someone who clearly didn't stay around for a fight.

It was almost..nice to be within Arkos's arms as he ran his bony hands though her hair and held her close. Were in not for the death that surrounded them, then this would surely be the perfect moment for romance..but their luck was not so fortunate today. It seemed both of them had already forgave the other for the very..rude start to the day..though she could almost be certain that if Arkos saw her with another man today again..he'd be driven insane..so perhaps for the rest of the day she would spend it with him..making up for how poorly she treated him this morning. Actually..at the thought of that, her face fell a little.
"Arkos..I'm.." She started, "Forgive me for my actions this morning..they were..unnecessary..I apologize." A Queen apologizing to someone lesser..a rare thing to behold..even if no one but he could hear it.

Tina clinged onto him, her small hands digging into Alexanders shoulders. "Please, i wanna go home!", she cried and started to literally cry. When he mentioned taking her to the castle, Tina shook her head. "No, please bring me to the harbour. I can find home alone once in the water.", she whined.

"I do," Arkos agreed letting his hand run in lazy circles on her lower back. It... It wasn't a great time for this, he understood that, but he wasn't sure he cared. Someone in his position with a relationship like they had learned to take what they could get when they could get it. If he was able to hold her surrounded by the dead then so be it, it was a price he would happily pay time and time again, he had paid much more for far, far less.

If he had the capability to blink in surprise, he would have. He had not expected an apologize in public, even speaking through their link as they were. Arkos leaned down and touched the top of his cool helm against her forehead, he had all but forgotten it in the rush to see what had transpired down at the harbor and it was hard to think of much else when she was holding him as she was.

Arkos was going to wave off her apology, say it was of little importance any longer, but he stiffened when Adeliza spoke to him, he shouldn't have been surprised, the woman got results. He just had't expected her to get those results so quickly and especially not to find such a... prime target.
"Engage if you must, I shall be along shortly. Refrain from killing her if possible, her death is not owed to us."

A ghostly breath was released from within his chest, the closest he could come to a sigh as he took one final moment to squeeze her close to him, searing the moment into his memory before he let go and stepped back,
"My wight, Adeliza, has discovered their Champion," Arkos informed his Queen and pointed in the direction they were located.

Adeliza

The second she had her orders, Adeliza smiled. If necessary. She could make it necessary. "I heard your Prince slithered away like the cowardly bastard he is. Left you for the crows, didn't he? He cares less about your life than I do, and I'm half tempted to rip it away right now." She laughed wickedly, gripping her sword tighter.

"I wonder what he'll do when he realizes you're dead. When I throw your dead body into the ocean, into his domain." She said quietly.

Bryn Maeve

Bryn stiffened at the words. "You insult my Prince? Are you stupid, or just ready to die?" Bryn didn't normally take insults to heart. But now? Now she was pissed. She drew her sword and lunged, aiming straight for the beast's neck. She'd kill her and bring her head to the underwater palace.

"Will your master care when you die?!" Bryn snarled.

Adeliza

Adeliza brought her sword up just in time, blocking the blow. "Death doesn't hold me." She growled, using her superior strength to shove the woman's sword away. "And I have no master!"

She sheathed her sword in one fluid move and jumped, making the painful transformation into a large tigress, canines bared menacingly. She snarled a challenge, flexing her claws. In her favorite form, the body appeared to be decaying, her Essence Drain having no effect on her multiple forms.

Arkos, she has grown violent. I will attempt to spare her.

Raeghal gently rubbed Svenja's face, cleaning the tears that were falling from her eyes. He kissed the top of her head, completely ignoring any warning that his chest was giving him.

You're going too far.

And he didn't care.

It wasn't normal for Raeghal to be so irrational, but sometimes he simply wished that he could stop pretending to be completely focused and mechanical. He wasn't. Like any person,he had feelings. And most of those feelings were turned towards Svenja.

"I wouldn't be able to live without you,my queen. Your death would mean my death. And I wouldn't want it in any other way. You gave me a life when I didn't even know that I deserved it. Anything I have is thanks to you. If I can spend my entire life by your side,I will be happy." @Ami the breadling

With a slight smile, she gave him a small kiss on the cheek. "You called me "my queen" again...", she whispered and laid her head on his shoulder. "Raeghal, sometimes i wish we were just normal peasants... Being able to do what we want... To have no special status to care for, no political problems... To be able to be friends with who you want... love... who you want..." The last part was more a muttering than speaking, it was as if she hoped he would not hear her.

Raeghal ended up chuckling in a light-hearted way. Apparently some things would never change between them,no matter how much time wanted to interfere.

"I'm sorry,Svenja. It's an habit by now,but I promise I'm doing my best. I'm becoming an old man with problems to learn about new concepts..." He smiled to his queen, almost not believing in how happy he felt. They were standing in the middle of a dark kingdom,a land that didn't belong to them. And all he could think about was how warm Svenja's body felt against his arms.

"I have thought about that, but maybe if we were peasants we wouldn't have met each other. And I already love who I want,my...my friend." His voice sounded hesitant at the last word. That wasn't what he wanted to call Svenja. But for now,it had to be enough. "M-maybe we should return to the castle. The Dark Queen might come back and feel our absence."

Svenja looked at him, when she heard the last words, her cheeks blushed to a deep crimson tone. Her eyes were big in surprise and she was having trouble to not ler her mouth stand open. "You... you...", she stuttered, unable to get any straight sentence. "I.. you..." After a good minute, she looked to the ground. "Lets... head... back...", she muttered and squeezed him a little in their hug. Then she turned around, but held his hand. "We can speak about what you said... when... we are in a nicer surrounding..."

Xentrev

"Very well." He said watching his champion leave, "Dont do anything stupid..." he said to himself. He continuing pacing in his palace, thinking, contemplating.

Melisara

"Uh... well... because... some people, like myself, like to stay in the living." She said, confused in her own words. "Why are you here anyways?" SHe turned the question back to the creepy child

Perdita laughed. "Because i live in the castle! I am one of the six! A one of the most powerful beings in this country. And if not for master... I would not be bound to this kingdom, but spread death and plague everywhere!"

Melisara

Her expression flatlined, "Is that suppose to make me feel better?" Her tone flat.

Perdita smiled manically. "No. That is supposed to tell you, you being alive is just because Bellatrix exists. Be grateful she is your queen and dont murmur because you have to wait once."

(On my phone. Sorry if this is short)

Tybolt was enjoying the castle courtyard, sitting on a bench watching the grass, trees and flowers flow in the wind, he sat there alone, though he enjoyed it, sometimes he would like to talk to someone, shame all the troops were at training, so he didn't have anyone to talk to. "...Wish my friends weren't dead..." he said and looked up into the sky,"Gods, why must I roam alone?Have I sinned? Am I forsaken?" He said aloud, "I would love to go to church, but I can't leave my armor..." he said. Feeling upset.

Raeghal's cheeks were glowing in a golden tone, reflecting the tone of his blood. He coughed to somewhat hide his blushing, turning his face away from Svenja. He hadn't expected her reaction, mostly because it wasn't completely hopeless for him. How could that be possible? She was a Queen. And he was a servant. But she was also his friend,so maybe....

Raeghal pushed those thoughts away. There was no point in dueling on the future.

"Y-yes,my Queen. Perhabs we should also discuss the preparing of our celebration of the truce..."

He ran one hand through his white hair, feeling the beating of his heart increasing once they stopped in front of the Dark Queen's castle. What could he say to Svenja? What if he did everything wrong? He felt like an inexperienced child, not like the battlehardened man that he was.
