Fantasy The War

Adeliza

Adeliza looked at the Vampire chained to the table in front of her. Even he couldn't escape his bonds. "This is your punishment for your crimes against the kingdom." She said in a dull voice. Already, the aching pain of her reverting to her Wight-look was beginning.

"It was a mistake!" The vampire screamed.

"It is too late for that." Liza laughed, pointing at the man. Immediately, he began to screech, and she fell to one knee, his essence slowly draining into her. His memories, his fears, it all attacked her. It was agony, but at the same time, it was a blessing. With this, she could walk down a street without standing too far out. She could obey the orders of Arkos or Bellatrix without as much renown. She was a secret weapon, after all.

Twenty minutes of the draining. The decaying woman that had entered the chamber was very different from the beautiful woman who exited. She smirked at the stunned guard, walking out.

There was a slight sense of... Despair in the air. A sense of death. She walked out to the street, and noticed that everyone had a panicked look. She grabbed a man and glared at him.

"What happened?" She snarled, making the skin around her eyes appear slightly decayed, extending along her face. It wasn't a pleasant process, but it had the man terrified.

"The... The Water King! He massacred our people near the harbor!" He gasped. She released him, reviving her face quickly with a stab of pain. She didn't pause, walking swiftly away from the apparent death. If she was wanted there, Arkos would summon her, or the Lich Queen. Until then, she'd stay invisible.

he was surrounded, vampires here and there, he can barely see and blood was everywhere. suddenly a vampire pinned him to the ground as more vampires started ripping his very body open. he then shouted and suddenly sprang up panting for air "another dream..." he said as he stood up. he always had a hatred especially towards vampires, for personal reasons

he went outside and washed his face with water. "heh, i wonder what today will bring me" he said. he then comes into his house and started preparing his gear. his samurai armor, made out of oak wood was a custom made armor, which can hold up againts fire and bites quite nicely.

but the main piece, his sword the dragonblade. the blade if in the right hands can cut through almost anything. the enchanted sword kept count of his kills, quite handy for him since he has no time for counting. he resides in the human kingdom as their champion so he was quite the famous one

he then rode on his horse and slowly walked towards the exit. now people started cheering his name from his reputation. he then walks off to the horizon trying to find a new prey

Alistair Cadwell III of Graenum
Alistair stepped smartly off of his ship, walking immediately in the direction of Queen Evelyn's home. He had been in her kingdom before, and knew his way around quite well. Just like he knew Evelyn would be in her home, probably with Daeshnir. After all, the King and Queen had been engaged for a short while, and Alistair had done his research. But the wedding had never happened, Evelyn had cut it off. The reason why wasn't hard to guess.

The way Daeshnir and Evelyn stole glances at each other... There was no denying that they would end up having some kind of relationship together. It would take time. Daeshnir was an outsider trying to redeem his name, he wouldn't mess it up by making a move on the queen. But Evelyn always got what she wanted. Daeshnir was a lucky man.

Melisara

Melisara paced anxiously in the throne room waiting for her confrontation with the Queen, "Where is she... dont tell me to wait somewhere then never show up.." She gritting her teeth, "Calm.... Calm Meli... Keep calm.." She kept herself calm.

King Xentrev

Pacing in his palace alone he thought, I should loosen the reigns on my kingdom.... He thought back to how his parents ruled, back when he was just a mere prince. He continued pacing, deciding a plan of attack to change the way his kingdom runs, and strengthen it. A door slammed opened and an advisor walked in "Sir, the troops you requested are finished." The advisor said, "Good.... I want a prestation immediately." Xentrev demanded.

A manical laughter went through the the one room. "Calm Meli!", a squeaky and discomfortable voice taunted. The small framed teenager, her clothes bloodstained, who was Perdita, appeared. Her ribbon dripped a bit, as it was out off blood, but the drops disappeared before they touched the ground. "Calm Meli, calm.", the girl taunted again. Now someone who was in the castle often or knew a lot about the queens closest would understand who that was. Anyone who just lived in the kingdom would not.

Melisara

Melisara saw discomfort in the voice and the child-like person who had showed herself, she began to draw from the elements, her arm becoming enveloped in an electrical current, "Stay back... I'm warning you..." She said in a shaky voice, her eyes couldn't make head sor tails of her aura, she didnt have one maybe? "Who... who are you?" She asked.

Perdita laughed. "The idea of using that elements against me alone is pathetic. I like that.", she squeaked and then hovered up a bit. "I am death, I am bloodshed, I am evil I am cruelty! I am the spawn of hell, a bloodseeker. Perdita is the name. I am direct servant to the queen. She keeps me... from having fun after all." She stood in front of Meli. "Calm Meli. Keep calm.", the hellspawn then taunted again.

Melisara

"Children are just as annoying old as they are young." Her arm lost electrical current and instead her hand got a glowy aura around it, "But as much as I would love to stay and chat with a servant of the Queen, I got someone I'm suppose to meet.." She said, drawing her own aura from around herself, "I was getting impatient waiting for her majesty anyways."

"Was my master expecting a talk with you? Because you would surely taste UNIQUE.", Perdita said and giggled. "Calm Meli, Calm down.", she taunted. "She said I wasn't to kill her servants in her castle or the villagers outside... your a villager in the castle. Thats something undefined."

As Rex sits around in the central shopping district of Ostleim, he goes into his thoughts for what the future holds. He knows that he wants to explore various lands and experience their culture, that much is certain. But... what we he do once all of that is said and done? Would he just return back to the Dark Kingdom? Or just live in a new kingdom all together?

Whatever the case may be, he'll have to think about it later. For now, he has a city that needs to be explored upon. Rex gets up, and looks for any interesting sights in this shopping district. From the corner of his eye, he see that there was an eatery to his left. He was quite hungry, now that he realized it... so maybe eating there wouldn't be to bad. But here lies the problem, Rex doesn't have any Denars to his name, only Drokmas. So if he wanted to eat, he would have to get a job in this kingdom, which shouldn't be too hard... he hopes.

Letting out a defeated sigh, he thought that the best course of action was to head back to the tavern, and ask around there for what jobs this place holds, and how much the pay would be for said jobs.

_________________________________________________________________________________

It was midday in Ostleim. The citizens were up and about going about their daily lives, and then there was Sophia, who laying down in her bed fast asleep. The father came knocking on her door. "Sophia! Wake up girl! It's already midday!" He shouts through Sophia's door. Afterwards he returns back to the living quarters, and to relax in his good ole wooden chair.

Sophia slowly rises from her bed, sitting upright with her eyes closed. She opens them up, and begins to rub the both of them with her right hand. As she looks at the window that was next to her bed, she sees the sun up. Her father was right... it is midday, she overslept today, which was so out of the ordinary for her. But one can't always wake up early. She steps out of her bed, and then stretches out her arms, starts to move in place to wake up her legs, and finally bends her back, backwards. With the stretches out of the way, she begins to get out of her sleeping clothing, and into her proper attire.

Before she even steps out of her room, she takes and puts on the Crystal Necklace, that was laying on her table. Now out of her room, she walks into the living quarters and smiles at her father. "Morning dad, thanks for getting me out of bed." She says as she stands up next to the wall. "So, Sophia... have you decided what you want to do... besides wanting to defend this kingdom?"

"This again? Ugh... it's going to be the same answer" Sophia let out a sigh and said the following. "The answer is always going to be the same dad. I will train to defend this kingdom with all I can muster, like a hero would!" She clenched her right hand, and brings it up, smiling brightly. The father could only placed his hand on his face, and shakes it side to side. "Sophia... becoming something like that requires lots of work, and once own sense of justice. Meaning, always follow your own moral compass... and never back down from question others." The father's smile returns back to his face. "Though that's only this old man's opinion on this. Like all things, you can interpret it in different ways, don't forget that either Sophia."

She nods her head. "I'll keep those words to heart father... now if you excuse me." She walks over to the door leading outside, and turns her head to face him. "I'm going to make a name for myself out there... since y'know, I have to start somewhere" Opening the door, she walks outside into Ostleim. First thing she needs to do, is to sign up for the military. Sophia thought joining the Iron Knights would do her good. So, she heads to their headquarters. Going through the tunnels, which goes under Ostleim.

"The world isn't like in the legends... and tales... but hopefully she'll realize it soon enough."

Arkos watched his queen, his Bella, as she stared out over the ocean as if willing the Water King to her, willing the one who harmed her people and her so thoroughly to show themselves to face her wroth... and her sorrow. The ravens that swarmed the city letting out their deafening croaking reminded him more of the sobs that she could not let out rather then an ode to the dead.

He rose to his feet and crossed over to stand by her said, the flames in her hands displaying her growing rage, but when she spoke, he could hear the vulnerability that lay in her voice. It was hard to mask such devastation from someone who has been alongside them for over a thousand years and had watched them, loved them, for even longer. As he drew new, he was struct by her beauty even surrounded by the dead as they were. Her silhouette framed by the dark ocean, her long hair that fell like a great waterfall down her back, hiding much of the curves he knew lay behind from him even as it shimmered in the moonlight of the Quanni sky.

His legs carried him next to her, unbidden but no less unable to obey the deep desire to do what he could to comfort her as if she had commanded it. Arkos turned his head to see her, to see the face that had brought the kingdom to its knees so long ago. The rage and the hard fought experience at hiding feelings made it as stone, the soft features stern and as unyielding as a mountain, but the tears still slipped out from her eyes even as the eyes searched the ocean for answers. What he would have given to be able to wipe the tears from her face, to break the small rivers that ran down her pale cheeks, to pull her close... but he couldn't. She had come over here, away from sight, so she may cry without frightening their people. They needed her, their queen, to be strong. They needed to borrow that strength, let it inspire them so they could face the loss and the new day, he couldn't undermine that. While he did not care if they crumbled on themselves in their weakness, it mattered too much to her for him to do something so selfish.

But even still, Arkos could not resist the lure of Bellatrix just as he could not resist it when living, he took her burning hand in his own, ignoring the black flame that lapped at his gauntlet and the bone hand within. He had no sense of pain nor would the flames spread as he had no blood from which to feed. While, over time, it could turn his hand to cinder... losing a hand to console her, to hold her even in such a small way was a price he would happily pay time and time again.

'Adeliza, there has been an attack near the Harbor. I need someone... competent to fulfill the Queen's command. Organize a... clean-up, for the dead. Ensure they are handled with care, she wishes to mark their passing with a ceremony for each.' He sent the command to one of his trusted Wights, Arkos did not want one of the guards botching this, not when she was already so vulnerable and hurt. This, this small act of certainty was all he could offer.

"Gods are the wrong ones to address.", she giggled. "But worry not. Calm, Meli, Calm down. I am not going to devour you yet. Too much fun is to be had." The fangs showed clearly when Perdita creepily smiled.

Adeliza

Adeliza stiffened when she felt Arkos' voice in her head. Without any hesitation, she turned on her heel and began walking toward the harbor, back straight and frustration in her dead heart.

Yes, Arkos.

She shot him back the thought before looking around the harbor. The death would've terrified her, disgusted her. But she was immune to the sight of corpses, deformed and mauled as they were. Signaling a few nearby guards to help her, she gingerly picked up the first body. The guards took two for each body, she could've carried at least three on her own. But she didn't want to cause more damage.

She wouldn't be responsible for preparing the bodies. It wasn't part of her orders, so she'd leave that to the professionals. And if they messed up, she'd personally make sure the person responsible regretted their mistake.

Melisara

The aura around her hand dissapated and she blinked, Why does this happen to me. She palmed her face, "Do i even wanna know what 'fun' is to be had?" She asked but doubted she wanted to hear the answer.

The girl sunk down. "Calm, Meli, Calm down." Perdita liked saying that. "You can just pet my head. But do not touch the ribbon." She smiled crazily, but also friendly. She wasnt all mad. Just 99%.

Melisara

She hesitated, "I don't know if I want to..." Her aura was hard to read, but still there and was a deep red. She's mad? But why..? "What will happen If I do?" She asked, almost not wanting to hear the answer.

(yes I made this)

After Tybolt was done with his peace time, he made his way back to the kingdom, but had to stop when a pair of soldiers stopped him, his own, "Sir...Was this your handy work?" the soldier asked, he looked like a high ranking officer, "Why...yes, this is my handy work...Is that a problem?" Tybolt asked, the soldier shook in his boots when the question was asked, "N-No sir! But...Can you let us know when you're traveling alone?", Tybolt got a bit upset, since he can handle things himself, "Are you questioning my ability to fight?" the soldier almost dropped his spear and shield when his voiced thundered off the cliffs, his partner didn't even look at Tybolt or the soldier, he simply looked in the opposite direction, "N-No sir!", "Then why are you telling me, a Black Elite, for an escort?" he asked, his hands starting to flame up, "Y-You know what s-sir? Forget I-I asked..." he said and grabbed the other soldier, and walked away, "God...I swear to the God's, the next time I'm asked that question, I might literally roast one of my own soldiers, alive." he said and kept walking.

When he got into town, he was starting to sweat, and took his helmet off.

images

Nobody got scared, just impressed and happy to see a soldier. Though he never takes his armor off, his helmet had to come off once and a while, becuase even though he can control fire, he still sweats with natural heat, and since he was in the city, he had to act as normal as he can be, he past by some stands that were selling clothing, but they didn't even ask or tell him he'd look good in a piece of clothing, they knew that soldiers of his caliber, are never seen without their armor...Some even asked him if he had a body under that suit of armor, all he did was take his arm guard off, and pulled up the chain mail under it, to reveal tan skin, slowly getting pale from all the years of wearing that armor...

He past by his favorite stand lady, an old crone named Millicent, she sold wine and other spiced food. He always asked for the hottest peppers to be added to his meat. "Ah! Millicent! How was church today?" he asked, "Oh just fine deary...shame you can't come and be with the whole lot...been a good ten years since you ever prayed in there." she said, Millicent was pretty much his grandmother, since she was moms best friend before she passed, "Shame ya mom can't see the man she made, and your father, by god he'd be bragging about you every day!" she said and handed him a bag of Devil salted meat, Devil salt was the hottest pepper she grew in her little garden. "Oh yes, he would. By the God's, I can hear him now, 'Oh my son is the best of the best, and blah blah blah!" they shared a laugh, "Alright Ty, I'll let you go on with your day." she said with her perfect smile, "Alright Milli, you take care now!" Tybolt said and walked back to the castle. Maybe he can catch some sleep, or maybe just chat with the soldiers that aren't scared of him.

As Alexander was musing on what to do next and what to play with for the small girl, an idea struck him. ~Perhaps since I don't have any games to play or tricks that would be low key, maybe she'd like to fly now that she's eaten.~ Alexander conjured up his dragon wings before asking the girl, know known as Tina, if she wanted to fly. "Child, It never occurred to me to ask you for your name until now. Also I know I asked you about this before, but would you like to experience the skies from my back?"

Bellatrix could not take her eyes off the never ending sea of darkness. It was almost a reflection of herself..is one wanted to make it poetic. A never ending sea of darkness, waiting to consume everything it touched, distorting the vision from the skies, with never ending depths that one could not dare to reach..no one but perhaps Arkos. Arkos..he was perhaps the only person who knew her better than she even knew herself. For a long time..Bellatrix had become a monster..and with that, she created him..a man who did not deserve to be bound to her for so long..and yet..she could not let him go. After well over one thousand years, Bellatrix could not let the man go. Arkos had paid his dues so long ago..with his death by her..but back then..she was lost..and searching for herself in a plane of nothingness. She had called out for help..but no answer came..not until the past fifty years when she finally won out against the terror that was her own self..but the damage had already been done..and there was no easy way to reverse everything. Her kingdom was still healing..and Bellatrix was still unstable, but with the help of Arkos..she was slowly becoming the Court Wizard she once was over one thousand years ago. She could almost picture that young woman, the one who walked the grand halls of the castle her first day. the one who met with Arkos first before ever meeting with Demitri. He had always come first..and he was always there..lurking. She almost wished she could remember all their pointless chatter..all the times he'd come to see her when she was doing paperwork, just to talk to her. He was so madly in lover with her..she just couldn't see it.

The thing that pulled her out of this daydream was the man she was thinking about. Arkos. Her dear Arkos. He had taken her hand, and held it gently. Bellatrix knew he could not feel the flame, but still..it could be burnt away. She cut off the flames in both hands, making them nothing but black smoke. She did not wish to make the poor man hunt for a new hand, that would just cause too much of a problem. Bellatrix squeezed his hand tightly with her's, almost wishing he'd of held her..wishing he would pull her close and run his hand through her long hair and tell her bittersweet lies about how everything would be okay. She craved that more than anything. Bellatrix glanced over to him, her eyes meeting with his face. Gods did she miss his real face..not the bones that she had created. She desperately wanted to run her hand along the skin of his jaw, feel his hair once more..meet his beautiful eyes with her's..but no..she couldn't. Right now she had to look into the empty sockets that were once his eyes..and that only made her weep more. She had done so much wrong to him..and yet she knew he still loved her.

Unable to stand there just holding his hand, Bellatrix closed the distance between them. She pulled her smoking hand from his and ran it up his arm then pulled it away and both of her arms wrapped around him and her forehead came to rest on the cold metal of his armor. She could not look at the bodies being cleaned up off to the left of them, so instead she closed her eyes tightly and held they only person who might calm the storm within herself. She did not care for any looks they would get, for her people knew that they had long since been together, but in what way was never defined to them. Hopefully this small act would show them that love can flourish in the darkest of times. For her, this was just a way to bring comfort and peace to her aching heart..this was something she only ever did in privacy.
"Arkos.." She called out to him with their bond, but she could not think of what to say rather than just his name..and even that sounded so faint..and so very broken.

Demetrius Drake

Demetrius was just leaving the coven house when one of his scouts grabbed his arm, pulling him back.

"Sir. The Water King invaded, slaughter at the harbor." She informed him before disappearing. He was gone in an instant, running at accelerated speed and appearing at the harbor just seconds later. The smell of blood, even for a vampire, was choking. It smelled both delicious and sickening at the same time. He coughed, wrinkling his nose. He noticed the queen and her champion immediately, straightening. He walked forward, head held high.

"My Lady. I am your humble servant. Do you require any assistance?" He asked quietly, kneeling in front of her.

It was the sudden influx of smoke that told Arkos she was no longer burning him, not the loss of sensation as his body could no longer feel. Whatever thought he may have had was dashed when she turned to face him. For just a moment, he was no longer standing near the dark sea nor surrounded by the dead, he was in a small room filled with books and scrolls, a wooden desk lay between them nearly overflowing with tomes and parchment that she claimed she was in the process of cleaning but needed everything 'where it was at' in order to find what she needed. The wide eyed court wizard who could make him smile with just a word, could make him feel like the greatest man within the walls with every glance... The court wizard whose beauty was known only to him, a secret he cherished and guarded zealously. Before she slipped from his fingers.

As her hand trailed up his arm, Arkos wished, desperately, that he could still feel. That he could feel his heart beating wildly, that he could feel the warmth that would travel through his body at the lightest touch from her, if she could, once again, take his breath away just as she did that day she was wandering through the castle halls on her first day, lost but so excited to explore. What he wouldn't give to go back to that moment, to start over, to do things differently, to be a better man. When her arms closed in around him, Arkos could only bemoan his armor and, moreover, his accursed body. No matter how hard she held him, no matter what he did, he would never be able to feel her.

But even then, Arkos was unable to stop his own arms from wrapping themselves around her, his hands entangling themselves into the lush hair he knew was soft to the touch. Holding her to him and willing whatever comfort he could offer to her as he tilted his head and came to rest upon the top of hers, wishing, once more, that he could feel her, that he could smell her... that he could do anything, but like so many wishes, it led to nothing but shattered hopes and dreams as the world did not care for the whim of a lonely soul.

"Bella.." It wasn't the right time to tell her what truly happened the day Demitri fell, but he wanted to, so dearly, and even if she hated him more... at least, she would know what truly happened, "I..."

He was interrupted by someone speaking to her, his Bella. His fist slowly closed, each knuckle popping from the force as the metal of the gauntlet groaned under the force. Slowly, as if his body still could not believe someone was bold enough to dare to interrupt them, his hollow sockets fell on a... figure bowing. A deep howl of anger nearly leapt from his chest at the impertinent creature as his arms tightened around his Queen, subconsciously unwilling to part from her embrace just yet.

he was enjoying the ride, the breeze of the wind and the animals around him, he loved going outside the kingdom once in a while but being a champion isn't really easy going out so... he was going about the day when he remembered something, he was going to talk to the king. his dream must've broken up his brain so he rode back to the kingdom gates in haste, and rides quickly to the central of the kingdom

akechi then returns, remembering he had business with the king and something to discuss about. his horse was fast and agile, one of the fastest in the kingdom actually but in a cost also the horse doesn't have any protection on it. akechi goes to the palace, where the king resides. he sees some Gellis devastators, ah yes the troops he admired the most when he was small... now he is more better than all of them, but still he respects each and every one of them.

he walks into the palace and to the throne room where the king is usually at, he then sees the king pacing around, he then bows down and doesn't look up yet until the king tells him too, he then asked without looking at the king still bowed down "my sire, what worries you?"
