Fantasy The War

Evelyn Hamilton

Evelyn hesitated. "They have... Nothing to offer... But I can see your point. If we bring them to stability, they'd be greatly in our debt." She ran through the information she knew about Balasieed, which wasn't much. "I don't know if they have a King, a Council, anything. All I know is that they are on the road to falling apart. I will not sail to meet them. But... If their ruler comes to see me and plead for an alliance... I will listen to them with an unbiased ear. If not, then I will rid them from my mind. For now, my priority is Graenum." She chuckled for a moment.

"If I know Alistair at all, he'll be here immediately after his meeting with Ostleim. Begging for an alliance in his typical, noble way." She laughed. That look on Daeshnir's face when she brought up the foreign King... Could it possibly be jealousy? Evelyn had no intentions of marrying Alistair Cadwell, but she hadn't told her Champion that. She had never seen Daeshnir jealous before, he was far too professional, far too good at masking emotions. But she couldn't think of another possible explanation.

Daeshnir Valnov
Daeshnir's lip tightened slightly at the mention of Alistair once again. She had all but shot down his plan and brought up a man he greatly disliked in one breath. His mood was darkening by the instant. But he hid it, of course. He was a man second, a bodyguard first. He was her adviser, her right-hand-man. Not her admirer, he couldn't be. He had to focus on the job she had chosen him for, not the role he desperately wanted to fulfill in her life. He couldn't get attached to anyone, least of all Evelyn herself.

"Yes, ma'am." He said softly. "And Balasieed is ruled by a man named Xentrev. I've done reading about them." He informed her. "Sir Alistair will take at least a day to get here from Ostleim. Balasieed is closer. If King Xentrev does decide to ask for an alliance from us, I'd assume his missive will arrive shortly." He shrugged, a small smile playing on his lips once again. "Or perhaps he'll just show up unannounced. He doesn't know you, he doesn't know how much you utterly despise surprises." He teased slightly, knowing that the last man to surprise her had ended up with a knife pressed against his throat. That had been fun to watch.

Tina searched around further on the ground, until she found the plush. "Its okay, i found him. Your creepy husband doesn't need to search.", she said and smiled happily, hugging her plush. "Don't run away Bunbun.", she scolded it. Then she looked at Bellatrix with expression of pure joy. "I don't wanna go to daddy yet. They did disgusting things, all bloody now. Its also very boring there. I wanna see more of the city. "

If Bellatrix had heart, it would pounding away in her chest right now. To learn that the Sea King would just waltz into her kingdom, unannounced and start to slaughter her citizens? No. This was a declaration of war and it would not be taken lightly. Bellatrix stood from her knelling position, her lilac eyes alight with a rage and anger that had not been seen in many centuries. "We do not have time for petty squabbles. We must be off. Alexander..stay here and take care of the child. I will return." She said, her entire voice had gone cold like the grave, as she mounted onto the back of Arkos's manticore and wrapped her arms around his waist tightly, her long black nails pressing hard against the cool metal of his armor. Bellatrix was beyond pissed..she was irate..enraged..and ready to kill a king should it come to that. Dark black smoke came from her palms, almost as if she was going to use her black flames right off the bat, something she rarely ever did. "Arkos. Let us be off immediately. Innocent blood has been spilled and retribution must be paid tenfold."

Tina didn't really care for what the beautiful woman had said. She hopped of in direction of the markets. The man with Wings was something she didnt really care for too.

Xentrev finally arrived at the kingdom named Astrain, So this is Astrain... He walked and looked around, looking completely out of place. He arrived at the Queen's house in the capitol city, seeing two people, one man and a woman.... an elf, Instead of making himself known, he sat there in silence, crosslegged on the ground. His approach was to be passive-aggressive, and to come alone as to not pose a threat. If went all went according to plan, with a bit of help he could bring Balasieed back to its former glorious potential.. this was his plan. He knew Balasieed wasn't much of anything right now, but with some resources and money, it could be the greatest asset anyone could hope for.

"Noted, I'll keep an eye on the child, I wish you luck in trying to resolve this." Alexander replied. Unfortunately, it seemed she had no interest in Alexander so he had to make himself seem desirable, or fun to be around. Alexander made his wings disappear and then followed after the child in an attempt. It wasn't that hard to keep up with her so when he reached her or caught up to her, he began to speak to her, "Hey little one, I understand that whatever your daddy's doing you don't like so what do you like to do? I could show you the city, but you'd have to trust me. We could fly around as well, do you like flying?"

Daeshnir Valnov

Daeshnir knew of the man's presence the second he entered the doorway, and his sword was drawn.

"Who are you, and how dare you enter the house of Queen Evelyn without permission?" He hissed, not caring that the man looked peaceful. Daeshnir stood in front of the queen, his stance protective. If this man thought he could hurt the queen, he was sadly and sorely mistaken.

She ran to the markets, looking around. "I dont wanna fly. I wanna eat.", she said. A water pillar pushed her up and when she was on a comfortable height to look around, it froze. "But i will have to See how to get it."

Evelyn Hamilton

Evelyn walked to be beside Daeshnir instead of behind him. The man did not look hostile in the least. "Lower your blade, Daeshnir." She murmured, laying her hand on his wrist. She knew it would kill him, but he would obey her.

"This man is not Elven. A foreigner. He does not know our ways." She said, staring acutely at the stranger. "What is your name, young one?" She asked the strange man. She couldn't help her smirk. She herself looked no older than 20, but she thoroughly enjoyed messing with people by calling them young, even the oldest of humans couldn't compare to her.

"Well, what do you like to eat? Alexander replied, he had hoped at the same time that Queen Bellatrix and her champion were having much greater success that he was in watching the sea king's daughter. "I'd also ask of you to please just ask me if you want a better view of anything, not that I'm saying you using your ice ISNT cool. It's just that it takes a lot to clean up."

He slowly stood and bowed, "I am King Xentrev Kallap of Balasieed." He smiled, "I come not not for peace negotiations nor to form an alliance." He leaned back up straight, "Instead, I come to ask for resources." He began walking around ever so slowly, looking around, taking in the surroundings.

Tina hopped down the ice pillar and it became steam, flying off. "I have no idea what you mean. I wanna eat something sweet! Something from this kingdom, that cannot be found in the water kingdom. "

Alexander raised his eyebrows as the sea king's daughter hopped off the pillar turning it to steam in the process. "Well I guess I didn't realize it was so easy for you. So you said something sweet right? Fortunately for you, I also happen to like sweets, a little more than i should. I'm also not from this kingdom so I know a few sweets that only exist here and I know just the place," Alexander reached his out, "take my hand, so you don't get lost ok?"

She was proud as her strength surprised the man. "I am the kings daughter. I am very good.", she said and looked proud. Then she gave him the hand. "Show me where!"

"Of course little one!" Alexander said as he took the child's hand, "It's always good to be confident in your own abilities especially at your age and let nobody tell you different!" Alexander then walked with the small undine as he began to talk, "See if you are his daughter, then you're not from around here. I'm also not from around here either so that means I know where to look for sweets! Soon he reached a merchant stall selling some blackberries, liqourish, and other dark kingdom sweets. "Oh i know what to get for you," he turned to the merchant selling the sweets, "how much for a small bag of blackberries?"

"75 Obsidian Drokma"

"Ok I'll take two small bags" The merchant nodded and gave Alexander two small bags of blackberries, which in turn Alexander gave him a Silver and 50 obsidian Dromka and then walked a ways before turning to the small undine again, "These are especially good, here!" Alexander handed her a small bag.

Evelyn, for the first time, looked surprised. The look didn't last long. She exchanged a disbelieving glance with Daeshnir before speaking.

"Perhaps you misunderstood. My kingdom is no charity, King Xentrev. We do not hand out resources or money to all who show up unannounced and rudely in my home and ask." She scoffed, facing him with a disapproving, flat stare.

She nodded. "Thanks, light one.", she said. She had easily seen that he was from Galadarnad. She tried and smiled happily, taking a full hand and stuffing it into her mouth. "They tnaste gmood!", she said, her mouth full.

Xentrev chuckled, "No.. didnt think it would be that easy.." He stopped, "Its so funny how easy the mind will turn to hate in a place of fear, a desperate man will go to desperate measures to get what he wants." He words were spoken quick and swiftly, "I am not a man of war, nor do I plan to be. All I ask is to supplant me and my kingdom.. I guarantee you, we will become a great asset to you." He smiled, a small glimmer in his eye appeared.

"I'm glad you like them," Alexander began. "So tell me little one, why is your father here in the Dark kingdom anyway? I mean I'm visiting the Dark Kingdom myself but it seems different that your father would." Alexander had decided that he would try to ask the small undine about her father to attempt to diffuse any problems that might arise. Hopefully this would prevent any needless conflict, "I'm visiting as part of a 7 year journey around the land and this is my last stop before I head home."

Tina shrugged and ate more. "Papa doesn't like the landlivers. He doesn't want them to have peace, but to kill each other. He wants all the land to be under water after all.", she replied carelessly. "He once said something about the ultimate power to destroy everything, so close yet he can't control it. I don't know what he meant though. I don't really care for his stuffs. Their so boring.", she said. "He made the ship of the light queen sink too. But I stole some medallion beforehand. He said it's mine now, because we played pirates."

Although Alexander didn't show it, he was a little annoyed that the sea king sank a ship from the light queen and was opposed to the peace of nations of the land. The sea king also wanted something about an ultimate God like power that he couldn't control, as well as giving this undine a medallion from the ship. Queen Svenja would probably want that back, but it would be up to the undine to give it. However, Alexander decided that he would at least try. "Say little one, you said your father gave you a medallion from one of the ships he sunk correct? Could I see this medallion by any chance, I am from the light kingdom and I have not been back for 7 years."

Evelyn laughed, the delicate sound echoing around the room. She could imagine what Daeshnir was thinking.

"Perhaps you don't understand. My kingdom does not just give away items for the vague and distant promise of a trading partner. We have trading partners. My question is... Why would we? Surely you have a better argument then that." She scoffed, looking at her hands. This meeting was a waste of time. And she did not appreciate his lack of etiquette.

"And if you wish to discuss this further, perhaps send a missive first next time." She suggested with an eyebrow raised.

Tina got out a small medallion. It showed the last greatking and was of pure gold and lucenit. It was very valuable and beautiful. "Here. You can look, but its mine and i will freeze you if you try to steal it."

Alexander saw the image of the last great king etched upon it's facade and he knew that the Queen would want this retrieved. So he decided to try to strike a bargain with the Undine. "That is a very beautiful piece, but you can't really play with or eat it now can you, something you would much prefer to do I'd imagine. However," Orlando held out his almost full bag of blackberries, "I haven't eaten very many of my own berries. What do you say to a trade? Your old medallion for my fresh bag of sweet berries, although I don't think you'll return to the city for a while so you probably won't get these berries for sometime. You don't have to feel obligated to trade it, just an offer."
