Fantasy The War

Melisara

Melisara turned around at the sound of clanking metal and wood, "Shhh.. hear that? Someone's coming..." She said to Perdita.

Arkos inclined his head but did not relay the orders as he already had and so already fulfilled the order. Plus, ordering his Wight while she was, no doubt, in a fight would only leave her more open to attack since she would take that 'hold part' quite literally as he would in her position.

"Dro'Khan," Arkos called, holding out his hand and a few moments after he did so, the great beast sprang down from a nearby roof to rest its head against his hand.

Holding the beast by his mane, Arkos held out his hand to his queen, to boost her up onto the Manticore's back.

Bellatrix waited for the giant manticore to arrive rather than just walk there like her angry mind had told her to do. Once the beast was there, she ceased the flames on her hands to make sure she didn't hurt him as she used Arkos to get up on him and throw her leg over. "Arkos..you will be fighting with me, as I am unarmed and armor-less." She said, looking over at him to make sure he understood that. She would of loved to cut the champion to shreds with her scythe, but that was back at the castle along with everything else.

"I understand," He wasn't fond of such... team ups against one opponent as he much preferred duels and one on one confrontations between two warriors to determine which was superior, as well as hope one could best him, but given their actions... they forfeited any honor in this engagement and he couldn't go against her if he wished.

And if he were honest with himself, if it even looked like she would come to harm, he would step in for her.

Sliding his leg over Dro'Khan's back, the manticore kicked off the ground and into the sky, Arkos and Bellatrix appearing to no more weigh it down then its own fur.

Upon his back, Arkos was better able to get a look at the damage below, many of the bodies had been removed, but some of the building damage remained. Pausing but for a moment, Arkos directed Dro'Khan to where his Wight faced the Water Champion, the great beast landing on the street with a heavy thud as his hollow eyes fell to the pair, to his wight who still maintained her former appearance, one of the only under his command to do it, and given her beauty, he did not begrudge her that small allowance. There were plenty of prisoners as it were to fuel her desire.

His eyes slid to her opponent, who would soon be their opponent, the water champion was... not what he expected either. Beautiful, but in an ethereal way almost... like a painter had taken their image for what a 'perfect' woman would be like, it was almost... too perfect. Even now, outside of her almost feral snarl, he could not find a single imperfection nor blemish upon her face.

Arkos slid off the back and held out his hand to his Queen.

Bryn Maeve

Bryn froze when she saw the Dark Queen and the Champion. Her snarl melted away, and her eyes widened. She wouldn't run from a fight, but she had no expectations of surviving as of then. She knew she'd die. But she'd die fighting.

"Come on, then." She howled furiously, brandishing her blade. "I'm sure you look a lot better without a head, you walking corpse!" She didn't know if she was yelling at the female or the male. She was just yelling for the sake of yelling.

Bellatrix held tightly to Arkos as they flew, her hands smoking just like before. She almost chose not to look around, but rather straight forward..but she couldn't help it..she had a good vanish point now. Her eyes scanned Nubar below, the ruin and blood only adding to her murderous intent. She would kill this Champion, then make her an example for the others as well as for the Water King. No one destroyed her kingdom without retribution. Actually after this attack, she knew it best to enact the barrier spell. Not for herself, but for the kingdom. They needed protection..and she could give it to them..and the sacrifice of a few things. She wouldn't mind decaying further for her people..not if it meant there wouldn't be another massacre like this one. The sigh below was almost enough to tip her over the edge with anger and make the black flames switch back on, but they did not for she did not wish to harm Arkos.

As Dro'Khan landed and Arkos got off, Bellatrix had the perfect view of the Champion..and what a look the girl had on her face. Bellatrix reveled in the thought that she could strike fear like that, even when she wasn't evil anymore. Bellatrix dismounted with the help of Arkos, but the minute her hand left his..the black flames were back and eating up far more than just her fists..no they rose high; high enough to touch her elbows. The flames licked dangerously against Bellatrix's skin, but they couldn't hurt her. At the champions taunt, Bellatrix felt a laugh coming on, one she would no doubt know to sound nefarious.
"Bryn, Champion on the Water Kingdom.." Her words were cold and calculating as Bellatrix walked closer to the fish, her heels smacking hard against the stone pathway of her city. "I think you'll make a fine addition to my army." She said in the same tone as before, but a dark smile made its way across Belllatrix's other wise stone face. Bellatrix's lilac eyes were alight with rage and anger toward the woman she stared down, her eyes never once leaving Bryn's since she had arrived.

And then, in a swift motion Bellatrix's arms flew up and shot the cursed black fire at the Champion. The fire was a good two in a half feet long, a warning and playful shot. Bellatrix knew the girl would die, but it was better to make her suffer before she was dead and these flames would do just that. Were they to hit, they would slowly start to eat away at the flesh until finally it roared to life with the taste of blood. Bellatrix's own fire..a deadly weapon of torture and a a slow death.

Uesis Borealis

Uesis was sitting on his chair in the balcon of the royal room. He always enjoy watching the people of the city do the things they do in daily basis. He saw some kids fighting and smiled

"Just like me and Bellatrix when we were kids...Maybe i should visit that stubborn lady" He thought to himself.

Uesis then called for gavreel. Gavreel entered the royal chambers wondering what the king is up to again "Yes, your highness?"

"Im gonna go visit an old friend, take care of the kingdom for me"
Uesis looked at him, smiled, and a pair of wings grew at his back then went off towards Dernavir, The capital of Quanni and where Bellatrix resides within the castle.

Gavreel walked towards the balcony, looked at Uesis as he flies and smiled, then walked back towards the door as he have many things to do.

Raeghal felt his heart beating with a strength that he barely knew was possible. He had faced monstrous enemies through all his life, but it was Svenja's reactions that had scared him the most.

He gently squeezed her shoulder, nodding at her words.

"This isn't...right,Svenja. I understand. And I don't expect you to return my feelings." A smile danced in his eyes. "But I still will feel them for you. And as I stand alive,I will look at no other woman that isn't you. I know you will marry another member of royalty one day,and nothing will hurt more than that. But I accept it,as long as we can be together."

Svenja looked up at him, blushed deeply. "I never planned to marry. I am strong enough to stand alone AS Queen and... for when im dead... well...", she looked away. "I... i will..."

with that, the voice got closer. anyone with an ear can hear clanking noises and wood tapping againts each other, suddenly a light shines to akechi making a silhouette to anyone who sees him, the silhouette was of a samurai warrior getting smaller and smaller showing he is approaching

Raeghal paled at the possibility. He shook his head immediately, unable to even think about Svenja dying.

"Please don't mention that,Svenja. If you are alive,I am alive. And if you're not...I will follow you anywhere."

Raeghal knew that his lifespan meant that he would probably live for longer than Svenja, but he had no intention of going on without her. But once she mentioned not marying...Raeghal took a deep breath.

"My queen...as much as that would please me...As your advisor,I can't recommend it. The bloodline needs to go on,after all. And a marriage between strong kingdoms would give strength to our homeland. You are definitely strong enough to stand as Queen, but the benefits must be considered."

As he talked,Raeghal had been gripping the hilt of his sword with a tight hold. Imagining another man touching the woman he loved...they would be loving the person that had been denied to him. They would be able to love her...Golden blood started to drop from his tightly pressed fingers, and Raeghal didn't even notice it.

Alistair Cadwell III of Graenum
Alistair waited calmly. His Champion was supposed to be meeting him outside of the Queen's home shortly. He hoped she wouldn't get confused and go to the castle instead, but he wasn't that concerned about it. She was smart, and had some common sense. She'd be there soon, he had no doubts about it.

x Sayik x

If Sayik had a say on this matter, she would have preferred not to set foot in another kingdom. And she also wouldn't have allowed her king to leave the safety of his palace where she could easily protect him from assassins, thieves and people who just wanted to lick his boots for extra favors. But of course, that wasn't exactly her decision. She felt weirdly out of her element, but that didn't mean that her axe wasn't sharp. If someone did as much as look weirdly at her King, she would happily smash a few brains against the ground.

Even the travel had been torturous on her. Alistair had been quite decided in coming ahead by himself, and that nearly sent Sayik into a nervous fit. Considering that her mood was especially bad,she went around snarking at everyone that looked at her way. At least the Queen's house wasn't too far away now. Walking aimlessly wasn't going to be improving her temper.

Sayik's attention was forcefully turned around once she felt a hand touching her pocket. With a swift turn, the Hunari slammed her foot against the thieves' face. She looked at him with displeasure, then grabbed his bag.

"Asshole. I don't have time for this."

A bottle of fine wine caught her attention. Sayik inspected it with the eyes of a professional, imagining that the thief had stolen it from one of the bars she had noticed earlier. At least she now knew the places where she would try to drag Alistair to. It was a great thing that he was a shapeshifter,so no one would see the King drinking around.

"Well,thanks for the gift."

Sayik tossed the bag back to the thief and walked away with the bottle, playing with it. King Alistair soon appeared in her field of vision, and the Hunari opened her arms in a warm greeting.

"Sweetheart! I brought you a gift!" She remembered that she had to pretend on being professional and immediately fixed her posture. "I meant...how are you today,my king?"

Sayik bowed to Alistair,a mocking smile appearing on her lips.

Alistair Cadwell III of Graenum
Alistair laughed, pulling her upright and into his arms. "Sayik!" He chuckled, admiring her. "You look well. How were your travels?" He asked before noticing the wine. "Ah, you know me well." He admired the bottle.

"I do love Astrainian wine. We can finish this later, hmm?" He laughed, offering it back to her. Drinking with his Champion may've been unprofessional, but that had hardly stopped them before. They were friends before anything.

x Sayik x

Sayik ran one hand through her long horns, the action only making her eyes appear more mischievous. Considering that she was as tall as the king, she always spoke looking directly into his eyes. They didn't have a typical relationship of a master and a champion, but it wasn't like they were typical people either.

"The travel was long, boring and lonely. I found out that I hate boats beyond anything. And I didn't have anyone to warm that lonely bed they gave me." She winked to him in a suggestive manner. "You will have to make it up for me lately,so I already have a few Astrainian bars in mind. They aren't as good as the ones we have at home, but they will do."

The intimidating air of the Queen's house caught her attention, and Sayik sighed through her nose. It wasn't often that she felt upstaged, but the woman inside was a noble just like Alistair. It wasn't a shock that they once had been promised to one another. And meanwhile...Sayik was simply a champion.

"Is the Queen waiting for us inside?"

Alistair Cadwell III of Graenum

"Nobody wanted your bed? Maybe I can do it on the way back." He offered, laughing. He had no doubts she would deny the offer. Why wouldn't she? Beautiful woman, she could have anyone she wanted. He may've been a King, but that had never influenced her before.

"Indeed she is. Let's suffer through this and then go find some of those bars you were talking about, hmm? I'm in the mood to get drunk with my beautiful champion." He said with a broad grin.

x SAYIK x

Sayik scoffed loudly at the question. She had already forgotten any insecurities about the queen, focusing on the king instead.

“Trust me, I got quite a few proposals. But the day you see me going to bed with a drunken sailor is the day that you can slap me in the face to see if I’m actually awake instead of being mind controlled. And you will keep your defransdim in your pants during this meeting. In here you are the great King Alistar Cadwell III of Graenum. Not my King of All That Is Hot. ”

She frowned back to the house, rising her head in a prideful manner. That woman could be queen, but
she was Sayik. And as far as she was concerned, being Sayik had always been enough.

Asit tal-eb. Let’s not duel on this any further. If we must go inside, inside we go. But I am holding you onto that promise of drinking.”

"You think I'm hot?" He asked quietly before leaning into her ear. "Back at you, sweetheart." He whispered before walking into the house, looking totally unfazed.

"Queen Evelyn. You'll be pleased to know that my treaty arrangements with Ostleim crashed and burned as you predicted!" He called, seeing the Queen and grinning broadly.

x SAYIK x

If they had been in Graenum,Sayik would have snarked at Alistair for that comment. But since they were about to be in the company of royalty, she held her tongue. Nobles weren't simply temperamental, they were also very fond of their social relations. Honestly, she wouldn't have the patience to lick the boots of anyone. Even the idea of having to go running to another kingdom's aid in case they got into war made her frown a bit. But she wasn't innocent enough to think that kings and queens could stand without having any diplomatic relations. On the game of thrones, you win or you die.

As soon as she detected the queen,Sayik felt a sense of pure serenity wash over her. It was inevitable. Evelyn was a being of pure light, and any darkness in the room seemed to shrink into nothingness simply because of her presence. Sayik could even say that the light was palpable. If she rose her hand, she could almost touch it. That characteristic, combined with the Queen's frankness, made her one of the few nobles that Sayik found
bearable. The slight surge of jealousy was soon repressed, and she bowed politely towards the Queen.

"It's good to see you,Queen Evelyn."

And it was. Sayik wasn't the type to lie convincingly, which made her the terror of any diplomat. She was being truthful now. Pulling her glance away from the bright woman,Sayik positioned herself behind the King. Her posture was light and carefree, but her eyes never left Alistair.

Svenja neared his face with hers. "But i cant marry. I would not marry the one i love, it would be a betrayal to myself.", she whispered. Then she turned away. "Its all so hard... Why cant life be easy?"

Evelyn Hamilton

Evelyn looked away from Daeshnir as Alistair walked in with his Champion.

"Alistair! I didn't expect you so soon." She said, walking away from Daeshnir and staring at his Champion. "And this is Sayik. It is a pleasure to see you again." She noted, bowing her head.

Daeshnir Valnov

Daeshnir glared daggers at the foreign King for a moment before masking his emotions quickly and kneeling for a moment before rising and standing immediately at his Queen's side, hand resting on his blade.

Arkos wasn't sure which of them she was taunting, himself, Adeliza or Bellatrix. He looked the most like a walking corpse, but then that could really apply to any of them, but then, he doubted the removal of his head would really do all that much to improve his looks. But it seemed to have the desired effect on his queen as she found it amusing which.. did not bode well. Arkos hoped the champion, Bryn, would have held her tongue as she would have been granted death then, but as he feared by his Queen's next words, she would slave for her in death because of it. Denied eternal rest.

"You did well holding her here without killing her. The Queen wishes to handle this personally. Adeliza, You are to organize an evacuation of the nearby areas should she get overzealous in her... attacks," Arkos relied the command from earlier to his Wight, but he had commanded long enough to give credit where credit was due and so thanked her for her effort with a small compliment. Even if a soldier was forced to listen, there was little harm in rewarding good work.

As the abysall flames left her hands, Arkos drew his longsword with one hand and stood by her, his body half turned towards Bellatrix, ready to step before her should any threat arise to her safety.

Bryn Maeve

Bryn dodged the flames with a grunt, rolling to the side and keeping her sword in her hands. "The day I serve you is the day I die, bitch." Bryn snarled. "The day I no longer have free will!" Her voice was loud, steady, and confident. They could torture her, hurt her, anything they wanted. But she wouldn't obey her until the second she was mentally chained, which wasn't easy. She had extreme training in throwing off mental binds.

"You want me dead, kill me. I'm sure your mother told you not to play with your food." She scoffed.

Uesis Borealis

The Capitol and the castle of the dark kingdom was now in sight. Uesis smiled in happiness as he would finally see his friend again.

He landed infront of the door, retracted his wings and then walked inside.

"Somethings Wrong" He Thought To himself

"I feel no presence of her and the wight" He said

Uesis continued to walk towards the throne room. He arrived and fount out that nobody is there.

"I was right.. Nobody is here" He Said

"But... I feel 2 other powerful presence in this castle... 2 light presence in this dark castle" He thought to himself while looking around

He walked towards where he sensed the presence and found out 2 people, a man and woman. Uesis looked at them, he noticed the man is injure.

"They have been on a battle" He thought to himself

Uesis walked towards them

"Greetings, May I ask why the both of you are here?" He asked
