"Perhaps it's time for the first trick." Jgraz takes the bag of money and sends it to the pocket dimension. "Gone." He makes it reappear. "Here." He hands it back. "I can keep it for you."
Carson watched all this happen in awe "h-how....? How'd you do that?!?" He said in utter amazement "what kind of magic is this???"

"It's a simple incantation." Jgraz tells him and follows Carson out into an open-air area. "I know hundreds, if not thousands, of spells."

"Huh........funny that......can you show me more?!?" He said bouncing up and down a bit like a kid "blow something up!!"

"I can." He looks at an empty barrel and it explodes. "But that is a rather... noisy... spell." He gestures to the suspicious onlookers.

Em jumped off her bed and hastily straightened her hair, earning a disgruntled puff of steam from her friend Murc as he was disturbed from his nap. She gave the servant a warm smile and a quick curtsy before going to the mirror to freshen herself up. Days of studying and sleeping didn't do a miracle for her hair. Feeling ready and deep grey gown smooth, the mage reached up to touch the bluish pendant hanging around her neck. The cracks on it shone with ethereal light but she didn't replace it. She couldn't go through the so quickly and it was better to save the caps for when they'd truly be needed. Em scooped up Murc onto her shoulder and followed down the hall behind the servant. Upon coming to the dining room, Em gave a sweeping curtsy to the queen and a polite nod to her guest.

Carson threw his hands up in the air and cheered "awesome!!!! Do a bigger one!! I lovvveee seeing things explode~"

Thalia gave off a smile and she lifted her hand in the direction of the seat that was in the middle which was between Thalia and Faolin,"Please do have a seat." Thalia said and she lowered her hand as she took another bite of her salad and when she finished chewing she spoke again,"I apologize if I may have seemed distant from you. It is not my fault, I have been busy with very important matter." She told her and this apology was one that she meant, she hated the feeling of being ignored so she tries not to do it to others but with the responsibilities of a queen it's hard not to since shes always busy.

"No." Jgraz points to the guards. "I have a feeling they wouldn't like it." He takes a look around the pavilion. Many people were staring them down.

Em smiles to her as she takes a seat. "In lieu of your preoccupation, I myself have accomplished several things. I hold nothing against you, your Majesty, and am glad we have a guest." Smoothing her gown slightly, her crystal blue gaze followed Murc's green wings as he lifted from his perch on her shoulder to the high branches of the room. Turning to the guest, she offered the same warm smile. "Emily Crow. A pleasure, sir."

Bel'Naga Bel'Naga chuckled at the threat he had just received. "Well good luck figuring out what that more important thing is, because unless it's Bella I ain't got nothing to lose buddy!" He wasn't lying. So long as Bellatrix was alive he could stay in this realm, plus he was a being made of nothing but blood so there wasn't much the large man would be able to do to him.

Shylu Vaan Shy giggled at the large man. "Actually the barrier threw my phoenix fire back at me, I was curious if it would do that. Anyway I'm actually here for peaceful intentions, I just can't get in because of how that barrier is set up." Shylu stood up and walked over to the man and held a hand up to him, "I'm Jaina, phoenix and demon. I'm simply here for business reasons."

The guards simply squint at jgraz "you can't blow random things up I don't care who's idea it was!"

Carson hid in a random building waiting for the guards to walk by

Damian was taken aback, and stuttered a "I'm s-s-sorry, ma'am!" as he hurried to her side. Gehardt, however stood tall, and simply started walking. "I'm but a humble soldier, ma'am." Gehardt started. "I lived in Orbis my whole life, but only about 5 years ago I realized my dream of serving my kingdom. I was way younger when our dear Emperor Lionheart was murdered in cold blood by that wretched Hearthfire. I thought the kingdom was doomed at the hands of a corrupt man... Then Galandor stood up. We're glad that he managed to take Hearthfire out." An awkward silence stood as they kept walking, and then Damian started talking. "I-I joined last week. My parents are both merchants, and they travel the whole continent selling their wares. I'm not a traveler, or a merchant, so i end up joining the Guard. I'm not that experienced, but Gehardt is teaching me a lot." Damian looks to Gehardt. Gehardt spoke again. "Answering your question ma'am, the ceremony will be held in the main courtyard. All of the Guard will be there, to acknowledge and witness the nomination. It won't be a great party, but it'll have its share of celebration, ma'am."
The classic superior and rookie situation - Their reactions pointed clearly towards it. She first responded to Gehardt's story, "I did not know Emperor Lionheart personally, but I am thankful for his deeds. It is a shame I never got to know such a man; I'm glad to see that Galandor has been an inspiration in spite of his death.", before turning to Damian, whom seemed to flinch even at her glance. "...I'm glad to see you're willing to learn, Damian. It's a virtue long lost in some people, from what I've seen. Maybe I'll have to teach you a few things myself some day. We'll see.". Closing off with a warm smile, she turned back to the path in front of her, as they began to approach the lining of the palace. Without warning, she spoke once more. "It wouldn't have to be grand celebration to make me enjoy it. Just the thought and preparation for the party is enough. Can't say I don't enjoy parties, though!". To her surprise, they had reached the palace's gates before she even had chance to realize it. Upon notice, she gestured the two towards the gates. "Now then. We've arrived at the gates - you both ready to go in? Can't keep the Emperor waiting too long."

Uhtred heard the giggle and already found himself unhappy with the situation. She wasn't the type of person he'd get along well with. His eyes narrowed and he would glare her down, ignoring the outstretched hand. "Peaceful intentions? Contrary to your belief, hurling flame at the barrier isn't the best way to earn trust." Still the swordsman refused to shake. "State your business to me." She was a demon, and phoenix, he had killed her kind in the past, as his weapon was magic after killing so many living beings an creatures, it exists on a ethereal level, enabling damage to those that were mostly intangible, and decided basic weaponry couldn't harm them.

(Sorry went to a movie) Silently Faolin looked at Thalia. He sat and looked at his plate. He began to eat and waved away Thalia's comment about being distant as he stated, "I understand your the Queen. I am a Duke I understand more then most people." He looked at her then at the new warrior and stated, "Nice to meat you Emily. I am Faolin." He said nothing more. He was thinking and eating. He had a lot on his mind especially with Thalia on his mind.

Shylu Vaan "I already told you, business." Shylu let her hand drop and placed it on her hip. "I know you're some sort of guard trying to do you job and all but it's rather tough for me to do my job when I have to deal with grumpy butts like you." Shylu sighed and snapped her fingers, a small wad of cards popping into her hand. "These are my credentials if you MUST see them to let me in." All the cards were of her work with the phoenix's political branch as well as her demon cards of her military services. Shylu waited ever so patiently and knew that this guard could be a rather even match for her so she didn't want to get in by force if she had the choice. Of course all her papers read Jaina Dewfeather, which was her name as a phoenix. She made sure of that.

The mage nodded and looked down to her food, delicately picking up a utensil and beginning to eat. She said nothing to him calling her by her first name so informally and so soon, but kept her opinions to herself to enjoy the decadent meal prepared. The dish itself was simple but a combination combining flavors that wouldn't overpower each other and a few spices added in for a mouth-watering aroma. Her crystal throbbed with a light in tune to her own heartbeat and she cursed herself for not having replaced it before coming to the table. From his new-found perch, Murc looked down at his companion, amber eyes showing a mix of concern and pity, the connection between them causing her slowly leaking magic to alter his senses as well. Em finished her dinner quickly and quietly, carefully aware of the obvious bond between the "Duke Faolin" and Queen Thalia and the glare her lizard friend was giving her. "Your Majesty, if I may be excused?"

"Actually, ma'am, we were instructed to follow you until this point. Our King awaits you further ahead. Farewell." Damian smiled at the kind words. "I'll be sure to work, hard, ma'am! I'll see you at the nomination" They saluted and left Elsbeth alone at the gates. Once they were open, however, she could see the courtyard decorated with ribbons and flags of the kingdom, it's iconic fire waving with the wind. The well-tended grass was occupied by some handmaidens, who adjusted the final decorations to the bushes. Galandor was talking to one of the maidens, making sure some of the nobles are notified. He sees Elsbeth and approaches her. "Elsbeth! You've arrived just in time. It's almost ready, in about an hour the ceremony will begin. Let's go down to the forges, Abzidian has your armor ready. So, how was sleeping in the comfort of your home felt like, after all these years?" He started walking.

The swordsman frowned, anger growing in his eyes. "I'm the Champion of the Dark Kingdom, I'm far above any lowly guard you'll meet here." He took the cards and dropped them without a care, his eyes cruel. "What, kind of business are you here for?" His right hand shifted, she'd notice it would grasp the leather near his shoulder, obviously ready to leap back and grasp the hilt of the massive weapon on his back. "I don't care if it's secretive, personal, private, or for the queen's eyes only, you'll tell me the truth and I'll decide if you're worth the trouble of letting within." The man wasn't budging.

Before Aermik had arrived, Naga beat him and started in on Uhtred. Bellatrix gave a nervous laugh as she turned to him. "Naga. I'd leave him alone. He's not a patient nor joking man." She said and lifted her shirt high, stopping just below her breasts. Along her abdomen and partly her chest there was a long white scar long since healed. "If not, this will happen to you. That blade is a lot more than you think and it can very easily harm you." She warned before pulling her shirt down. That's when Aermik arrived. Before he even said anything, she pulled him to her in a tight hug. She wasn't letting go and that was very evident. Then he spoke, but her face was too far buried in his chest for her to say anything. As for the barrier around the place, the hellfire that surrounded the initial barrier would absorb the fire with no issue then spit a bigger one out at the person.
@Airagog @Skull Knight @Kihara017
Aermik looked up, then back down. He was tempted to use the culmination of their research to kill Naga. Then he decided he was perfectly content where he was, wrapping his arms around Bellatrix. He sighed happily, feeling the blood rush to his cheeks. He was fine with this. This could work.

Shylu Vaan Shy groaned and put her hands on her temples. "I said it three times now. I'm here for god damn business!" She glared at the large man, well aware now that he was definitely someone who could fight her evenly. "You're a really shitty 'champion' if you can't even tell when someone is trying to do their own damn job, you really want to know what the hell my business is!? I'm searching for sulfur to replenish an explosive expert's stock!" Throughout all this yelling her hellhounds appeared and her phoenix mantle cause fire to appear. Taking a deep breath she barked orders at the hellhounds and they disappeared the same way they appeared. "Look. I hate you. I need sulfur. Let's move on with this wretched life." Shy punched the tree she had earlier been sitting against and it fell down, bursting into phoenix fire and becoming ash within moments. "I just need to get this damn job done."
((Damn.)

Bellatrix held him for a very, very long time before looking up at him very sad eyes. "Y-You're gonna come back to me..right?" She asked him, her face showing just how afraid she was of him never coming back after he left. It had been on her mind since last night and worried the hell out of her, and now that it was actually time for him to leave..she didn't want to let him go. Bellatrix normally was not that clingy of a person, unless she loved you. If she truly loved someone, when they left she'd worry about them until she heard of their death or when they finally told her to leave them be. Even still, the second option could send her to..dark places. For many years Bellatrix had been one to hide how much she truly loved a person until they left her, or until she lifted her walls just a bit. In this case, she didn't care at all who was watching or what they thought. She loved Aermik and letting him go, even just for a little while hurt. A lot.
