Fantasy The War (Players Needed)

Tina, meanwhile all this happened, of course hadn't done as Aermik told her. No. She was on her way to escape, running from the dark kingdom. She would leave it all behind. That family, which she loved so much. It hurt her, but it was the only way. If she could not suppress the feelings, she would not be happy here anymore. SHe would not be able to properly serve her queen. She had to run. They would kill her if they found out, just as they did with Zelarous. But she did not plan on ever coming back. She had packed all her things, having a bag with her, when she reached the barrier. She stopped and looked back at the castle, crying.

Vlad was surrounded by the guards, his smile still there.

"My my, what a lovely greeting."

"State your business stranger"

"I wish to speak to your leader"

The soldiers paused for a moment before continuing.

"Very well, come with us"

Vlad holstered his pistol and followed the guards, while walking he took off his sunglasses and polished them with his coat before putting it back on. He was slowly brought to a castle which he assumed were where the King or Queen of this Kingdom were. Vlad absolutely loved the look and feel of the Dark Kingdom, it gave off a dark atmosphere which made Vlad feel ecstatic. Other Demons could also be seen, in his land there were almost no demons. Vlad and a few other individuals were the only ones.

Before he knew it, he arrived at the castle. The guards brought Vlad into a room that resembled a throne room.

"It appears Queen Bellatrix isn't here at the moment"

The guard pointed to another guard.

"You will find, and inform the Queen of this stranger's arrival."

Vlad nodded as the guard ran off, he could not wait to meet this Queen Bellatrix.

"I have yet to test her," Thalia said to him as she put her hand on her hips. Her warm hand touching her cold armor,"Ha, I see that you are already eager to eat. I must say around her we do not dine on animals, we value our animals but if you would like I will send one of the servants to get a small amount from our neighboring markets." She told him trying to be considerate of what he eats since everyone doesn't eat the same thing. It was a crime to kill an animal in the Plant Kingdom since they care for every forest creature that lives. "...meals are held in the grand room when the first sunset ray hits the castle towel which is at exactly 6p.m." Thalia told him.
Smiling Faolin nodded. He watched her for a second too long then looked away. He was thinking. Softly he whispered, "No I will eat what every one else eats. No need to send your servants for meat. I won't hunt either. I am here I will respect your laws. I understand not wanting to kill nature. It's alive and has magic running through it. When it dies it becomes part of the magic but not the same anymore. Whatever it was loses it identity and well it must hurt to lose what is like family." He looked at Thalia and stated, "Six I will remember that." What time was it? 5:30 Silently Faolin thought for a second then asked, "Would you mind showing me around the castle Thalia? I would like to know the names of all the rooms so that I will be able to find you no matter where you are in the castle." He smiled gently then stated, "Of course I do always like to know where everything is."

"I... I really do want to stay, but I have been far from my home for too long. My soldiers, my general, they're all eager to return to their families."He took her helmet off and placed it on the end table. "You know, right? Families. I can't deny them to see their families for too long. Especially Elsbeth. She suffered so much..." He trailed his fingers in her hair, not breaking eye contact. When she told about the barrier, he looked down. "I know. You must take care of your own family as well. It's hard to leave like this, y'know. But I feel it's necessary." He grabbed one last ruby from his pocket. "This is my parting gift. Use this, and wherever I am, I'll know. And I'll come to aid you." He silently watched as Aermik came, told her of the news, and left. "Your problem is taken care of. Now, my dear, I must go. Goodbye." He gently kissed her again, not wanting it to end. He then broke the kiss, rose from the bed and forced himself to leave the room. The griffons were already there, with the soldiers and Elsbeth. "Everything set? Then let's go." He mounted a griffon, and with his soldiers, protected by his own sigil, shared with Bellatrix's magic, crossed the barrier. Back to Mt. Joelark. Back to Orbis.
And so, began the departure to Orbis. Admittedly, she had only rode on the back of a griffon once before, so she had to cling to the griffon she rode upon almost for dear life. Yet, despite this endeavour, the trip had almost quite literally put her head in the clouds. The view was magnificence incarnate... or at least, quite beautiful considering the scene she had been used to. Soon, Elsbeth would be back home. Whilst seeing her parents again twisted her guts like none other, but the reason she would be coming home relieved her of this pain somewhat in the process. General... the absurdity of her owning the title had yet to strike her fully. She knew little of who Lionheart was, but the way the Emperor spoke of them, they seemed like a great individual. Perhaps there was a connection between the two? She imagined it would be hard to live up to that name in any case, yet alone her own. Maybe it wasn't the point, but it motivated Elsbeth to try her best. Within the hours, they had arrived within the Fire Kingdom's borders, a latent warmth hitting them almost abruptly as they crossed the metaphorical wall. This was the air she was once familiar with - a scent with an aura burning and strong.

Thalia smiled at him,"No, I want you to be well fed while in my kingdom." She told him seeing how he changed his mind on eating meat just to obey her laws which was very nice of him to do but she didn't want him to end up fainting since he wasn't used to eating so many herbs, vegetables, and other really healthy things. "If you prefer not to eat meat just to obey my laws here then I have no right in stopping you from doing that, but on your first day here I suggest you eat something a bit heavy and filling. Perhaps I can have the cook make a thick vegetable stew or any kind of soup that you have in mind with our homemade bread." Thalia said to him.

Orbis. It was refeshing to take a change of scenery, to return to his home. Home. He couldn't shake the feeling he left part of his home with Bellatrix, with Quaani. He forced himself to think it was necessary. The Griffons landed without ceremony, the soldiers eager to return home. Galandor lagged behind, waiting for Elsbeth to come. One priest approached him. "My lord, the soldiers who passed away were already commended to the Primordial Fire and cremated. Their families are in mourning." Galandor grimaced. "Thank you, priest. Tell their families they were true to the kingdom until the end. They'll be marked in history as heroes." The priest bowed and left again. Galandor approached Elsbeth. "So, how was the flight? Pleasant, I believe?" He grinned.

Em had returned to her room some time before, the guise of a cat disappeared like pollen in the wind and the stir-craziness was once again setting in. With a frown as she laid back on the soft bed, the mage realized the room was quiet of her friend's usual scratchy footsteps. It was too quiet now with him having been at her side for so long and she rolled over on the blankets, not caring that her intricately braided hair was coming undone. She felt worn, much more so than usual- that bothered her as well. For goodness sake, she was still a young woman. The pendant was cracking worse, thanks to her venture as a feline and her aura, horribly stifled, was beginning to leak out. Already if she looked carefully shimmers of magic hung in the air. Em sighed and considered getting a new one for her meetings with the queen but held off until it was apparent there'd be an actual meeting.

Landing was like a blessing, despite the view. Climbing off the griffin, Elsbeth hid her face slightly from Galandor as to hide the slight blush that had scorned her. "I've only rode a griffin once before... shut it.", she muttered. The ride had made her a little sick to her stomach. Though, staring at the priest as they went to tend to their duties, she couldn't in good faith complain. Glancing back at the Emperor, she queried about their next move, hastily masking her blush with a reflected grin; "...my experience aside, it looks like me and you have a lot of errands to do around here. One of us is, of course, the Emperor, and the other is a person who went walking for over five years only to return with one of the esteemed titles in all of Orbis! So, what's on the list..?".

Looking at her Faolin smiled. He took her hand then kissed her hand gently. He whispered, "Thank you Thalia. I would appreciate that. Please go ahead and have your Cooks make my stew. Thanks for your kindness Thalia." He removed his hand from hers and smiled. He whispered, "Thanks for your kindness now let's go explore the castle shall we?" He looked at her and smiled charmingly.

Em jumped off the bed, not willing to be lulled into sleep, and began pacing the room. She glanced at her books, to her cloak hanging with her numerous sheathes and her bag, back to her books, and let out a tired sigh before walking over to the desk where the reading material lay. Selecting a few that interested her, the mage muttered a small spell and as she stepped forward, the air beneath her feet hardened and she was able to reach the ceiling on nothing but emptiness. The high bookshelf provided an excellent spot for reading, she thought and bent down to rest the tome open on one end. A bluish light appeared hovering beside her and Em morphed quickly and quietly into her usual cat form, settling down on the other half of the shelf to read. The light stayed suspended, diligently providing an ample glow for her to study by.

"Let us go then," Thalia told him with a smile as she walked out of the room and began walking down the hallway with Faolin. "This first room that we are coming up on is a room that is very dear to my heart, it holds all of the lost souls or parts of souls that wish to stay in the kingdom and the other part of their soul is roaming around in the afterlife." Thalia told him knowing that her mother choice to leave a part of her soul with this kingdom. "...it's where we communicate with the afterlife or obtain past knowledge of what happened." Thalia added as she watched the guards stand straight and tall with their spears in one hand opposite from each other.

Galandor looked at Elsbeth upside down as they walked to the castle, a mock angry expression on his face. "Telling your emperor to shut up, are you? Well, first of all, I gotta address the smaller issues of the kingdom. I'm sure they piled up in the time I was away. As for you..." He looked ahead. "I was meant to keep this a secret, but to hell with it. Before your nomination, I arranged a meeting. Family meeting. They're probably already there, in the throne room, awaiting their daughter." He smiled, then continued looking ahead. "Then, the nomination. What do you think of this plan?"

Silently Faolin followed Thalia. He walked along with her to the first room which was very important to her. The soul room he decided to name it. Looking at her Faolin stated, "That must be very useful to get knowledge from the past." He looked at the guards then stated, "I assume only worthy people are allowed to talk to those souls judging by the guards. It must be a very precious room the heart of the Kingdom." He looked at Thalia and stated the obvious, "So basically if someone wanted to create chaos in the Kingdome they would destroy this room although judging from how I fell in this room it would take a lot to do that. A lot of magic hangs in the air and tingles your spine just being in here." He closed his eyes focusing on the magic. Immediately he snapped his eyes open then asked, "What does it mean when you hear voices?" He looked at her hoping it wasn't bad but when he had closed his eyes he could have swore he had heard voices he added, "It's probably my imagination."

"Yes, and let me just say whoever dares thinks about harming this room I will make them pay." Thalia told him as she warned him as well as others too but the way he said it made Thalia think that he would do something to harm her precious room and her that she values the most in the castle. Thalia had a deep connection to all her plants, trees, and animals and especially this room. If a tree, flower or animal dies she knows and feels it inside. Like when Zelarous burned down a part of her forest which was the trees and plants it really hurt her inside, because the connection is that strong. "I assume you would not do anything to harm me right?" She told him as she raised her eyebrow and turned her head to him, the cool breeze from the window blowing on her gently making her hair dance. "I have heard voices in the castle so you are not alone," Thalia said to him.

Looking at Thalia Faolin listened to the warning. Oh no how had he said that whole bit about the soul room? Probably like one planning to destroy it. He did that when thinking. He chuckled at himself slightly. She had a connection to everything. The roses she had made for him the trees, birds, deer's, plants everything. He wouldn't kill a single thing he didn't wish to hurt her. Softly he took her hand and whispered, "I would never hurt you Thalia. I like you to much to hurt you. I was just pondering on how someone would attack the room so that I could possibly stop it if it happened. Forgive me I know how I sound when I am thinking. Like I am going to do it." He heard her comment on the castle and grinned. He chuckled then whispered, "Yeah maybe we are just special in the ability to hear voices. To the next room. Even though this one captivates me." He almost added much like you but restrained himself.

"It won't happen too often, I promise--", she teased, before hearing the plan at hand. Well... that plan to her was, pretty debatable. Almost immediately, Elsbeth seemed to want to delay the meeting as much as possible. "W-well, surely I need to get changed into, I don't know, a dress or something before I meet them. I can't just meet them like this...". Brushing the outlines of her hair frantically, it seemed even the mention of her family had sparked something inside of her. Last she had saw them, she was still (at least on the outside) a usual, fair young lady of Orbis - a bit of a far cry from what she was now. "I mean, the plan is fine and all... but - this soon? You're looking after my well-being, I can tell, but...", she ranted, before biting her lip in restriction. Elsbeth had been a lot more open about her feelings at this moment, but doing so didn't feel great. If anything, it had only done more to surface memories she had trying to be forgetting. The familiar feeling she had been getting threatened to turn sour. Glancing at the door ahead, Elsbeth continued to walk on, but with a slowness to her step.

"I hope so Duke Faolin," Thalia said to him with a smile as he took her hand. Thalia knew she had nothing to worry about but the way he said it concerned her. Thalia walked him to the next room which was the library, and small bright speck ran around in the air with a few books attached to them,"It is a bit hectic in here, the pixies are rearranging the library." Thalia told him as she looked around seeing how organized the libraries were.

Bellatrix stood from the bed as she'd heard from a shadow that Tina left. Worry consumed her as she bit her lip. "Aermik..she left.. was it because of me? Did I do something wrong?!" She asked him, each question one after another as she paced his room, not worried about the guy who'd come to see her. "Was I a bad mother?!" She nearly shouted as tears threatened to fall from her eyes. Bellatrix was truly worried about the child. She loved the girl very much, and felt absolutely terrible for all the neglect of her today.

He looked at her then looked at the rose in his pocket. Taking it out he asked, "How long does this thing last? I have put it in water every day and so far it's stayed fresh." He looked at Thalia and smiled. He was tempted to take her hand then decided against it. He looked at her in the eyes then stated, "You can awsner the question on the way to the next room." "Well..as long as you treat it with care it will live a long happy life." Thalia said as she saw that he still had the flower. What he didn't know is that when Thalia dies so do her plants and then in a few hours they are born anew. Cleansing the kingdom and forming a new way of life around it, this went for her mother and father as well and the ones before. This was a tradition of the plants, when their leaders had died they give up all they had to start anew. The elves call it 'A new life.' "This next room is the bathing room," Thalia told him. She thought it was the most beautiful place in the castle as well, she walked him to the bathing room. When they reached there she opened the door and walked in, it was a beautiful room that had a waterfall built in it that ran into the bathing tub with vines of flowers all over. "Here is where you will bathe, the servants will either try to bathe you or you can tell them to stop so you can bathe yourself." Thalia told him. It was a tradition here in the royal household to let the servants bathe you. Thalia didn't always like when people touched her so she bathed herself instead but all time when she was tired from a battle she had them do it. @Lighthouse8477

Silently Faolin listened. He would take care of her flower to the best of his ability. He treasured it. It reminded him of when they had met. Smiling he looked around the bathing room and gapped. It was huge and magnificent. The soft roar of the waterfall filled the air and created a soft mist that kissed ones skin ever so softly and made his mettle armor glisten. He would have to dry it later. Smiling he asked, "Is every room in this castle beautiful and filled with wonders?" He looked at her and smiled. It was a wonder if the room had her in it. He blushed at the thought. He was glad he didn't say these things out loud.

Thalia smiled,"I wonder the same thing every day," She told him as she scent of flowers and herbs filled the room relaxing the mind and body. This was her escape when it comes to relaxing since this room is the most peaceful room because she was all alone in the room. Thalia looked at him for a quick second and saw him blushing,"Shall we go to the next room?" She asked him knowing that he probably had some thoughts running through his mind.

Galandor placed a gentle hand at her shoulder, as he gave a fatherly smile. "They asked this themselves. They miss you so much, see, they begged me to arrange this meeting as soon as possible, preferably as soon as you set foot in Orbis." He patted it as they arrived in the antechamber. Some lesser nobles and soldiers strolled and patrolled around, all bowing to their emperor. He nodded back, as they approached the obsidian doors of the throne room. He stopped before opening, though, and stared at Elsbeth. "Are you ready?" Without waiting for an answer, his soldiers opened the doors. The Magma Throne was empty, but right beside it, were familiar figures. Too familiar for Elsbeth. An announcer boomed through the pillars of the hall. "Announcing King Galandor Thurian Maxwell and Elsbeth Naman'ic!"

It was an odd side, the dark kingdom. Once, centuries ago it had never been a place of disappointment, famine, plague, pestilence, just about everything that could have gone wrong with a kingdom did, at least so many years ago. Uhtred did not know much of the events that would lead up to this but it didn't matter, the kingdom had been in ruin the first time he came here, and now his return proved it had grown to such a better place. The swordsman shifted uncomfortably, his weapon was still annoying to carry. It being inhumanly sized and inhumanly weighted, it was still a wonder to him how he originally had learned to use it. In fact on his way to learning it's fighting style, he dislocated his arms a plethora of times, until recently. The large man would grumble to himself, scratching his beard then glancing down at himself, plain wool grey pants, a linen brown shirt with straps of leather to make up an odd carry system for his sword, it couldn't be sheathed so he had installed a small ring near it's handle, which he hung to a series of leather straps on his back and upper torso, distributing the weight so it didn't crush him. He still needed to improve it.

Finally, Uhtred's destination came into sight, the capital of the Dark Kingdom, a place familiar with him. His pace would speed slightly, unconscious spurred on by a hidden excitement. His figure was giant as he approached, a man standing at six feet and then some would definitely be a sight to see in times like these. Not to mention he was built like an ox, some had claimed him to be a giant in the past. Regardless he felt a small shimmer was he passed through the barrier, as it had been years since his last visit, nobody would know him, that of course wouldn't stop him from breaking his way in if need be. Of course he was stopped at the gate, a guard bellowing a halt, followed by question. Uhtred paused, before thinking up an excuse. "I'm a mercenary looking for work! I heard the garrison could use an extra hand." His voice was a deep rumble, any man could tell he was of earth kingdom heritage, such a large stature and husky voice could be found from nowhere else, and so he would be let in. The guard would go to greet him, but find the mercenary to ignore him and simply walk his way, towards the royal hall.

Silently Faolin smiled. He looked at her and stated, "In my Kingdom everything is mettle work. Large elaborate works of metal with swirls and curls galore. Mettle flowers and arches like yours with intricate words carved into the mettle. Yes let's go to the next room Thalia." He looked at her and whispered, "I am blushing because I was thinking that every room would be magnificent if you were in it." He paused then stated, "Sorry I had to tell you about that one for some reason. Let's move on."
