Fantasy The War (Players Needed)

Zelarous walked forward unsure where he was going. It seemed he was still somewhere in the kingdom of darkness as the scenery had not changed. It made him somewhat unwary, as he only intended to come here for one thing, which he had already accomplished. He just kept walking forward, it was really all he could do at this point. An intense pressure suddenly hit Zelarous, sending him to the ground. "What the-?" he started. He noticed in the not so far distance was the actual kingdom, but what had hit him, there was nothing in front of him? He reached his hand out carefully as his hand touched something solid, was this a barrier of some sort?

Another wave of familiar feeling hit her. Two people. "I..Forgive me. It was a wonderful fight, but there's...two people on opposite sides of the barrier. One there." She pointed in Vlad's direction. "And one there." She pointed in Zelarous's direction. It was very clear this troubled Bellatrix. It was also very predominate that she was utter exhausted. How she continued to function was a miracle. "If..you wouldn't mind..will you please go check out that one?" She asked him and pointed back in Vlad's direction. "If it's someone who seeks an audience tell them to give you a letter with their name and reason. Anyone else is to be turned away as precaution." She said, her eyes never leaving his, as her breath finally began to even out.

@Raizel

Galandor looked at both sides, unsure on what to do. Frustration hit him, as he couldn't fulfill his wishes. Why does it have to be now? He nodded. "Sure. I'll go check it out." He summoned his soldiers and told him to arrive at the place where Bellatrix pointed. "You're still owing me a dinner." He smiled then started to go, then slowed down. This might be my only opportunity. Y'know what, fuck this. He returned to Bellatrix, without stopping, held her waist and finally met her lips with his own. He starting emanating more heat than usual, unknowingly, focused on the task at hand, or mouth. When he broke the kiss, he stared at her eyes, smiled again, then rushed to the place where she pointed, a radiant grin on his face.

((Sorry for the late reply, my girlfriend was here. Also, perks of being fiery: Implusiveness.))

Bellatrix's face relaxed a bit as he agreed to help. When he'd said something about dinner, a sly smirk came over her face. "We'll see about that~" She teased him and as she turned to walk her way, he rushed back and held her waist. Before she could ask him what he was doing, or even react, he'd kissed her. Right then, right there and for that brief moment..Galadnor was all she knew. But it was far too brief and when he'd pulled away then walked off, she was left there with a red face and utter shock. D-Did..that just..happen? She pondered as she shook her head and headed for the side she'd assigned herself.

Her face was still a light shade of pink as she arrived at the very edge of the barrier and parted the two rings of flames so she could see who was there. A huge smile on her face or there was until she saw who lay on the other side of the barrier . Zelarous. Her face became a mixture of emotions as she looked at him.
"You've came back." Her voice was icy cold, her eyes the same.

@Raizel @Zelarous

((It's totally fine. I understand c;))

Galandor went to the gates. The stranger was there, looking at him as he approached. Five guards were with him as he approached the stranger, from behind the barrier. "You have reached the Kingdom of Quaani, the Dark Kingdom. State your business." He looked the stranger from upside down, evaluating him. He couldn't feel any heat coming from him, and a strange magic was sealed within him. Not something like Bellatrix, something more... animalistic, more savage. When the stranger smiled, he realized. It was a vampire.

Zelarous watched as the barrier revealed what was beneath it. It was queen Bellatrix, and behind her was the kingdom of Quanni. "Have I traveled back to the heart?" he asked himself aloud. He looked the queen up and down for a moment. She would not be met with they eyes of her former loyal knight, but that of a man of ambition, and hatred in his heart. "Though I did not mean to make my way all the way here, yes I have." he stated plainly. "I have come to cut my ties with this place, and with you." he had already burnt one of the outer villages to the ground as his first step. Though he doubted she knew of it. "I am born anew, with no one to serve but my own desires, just as you or any other king or queen would. I do however, require something from this place." though that seemed problematic.

@xEmoBunnehx

Bellatrix shook her head at him. "You shall not enter this place without being burned alive or worse." She said, her thoughts for a minute moved to whether or not she could apprehend him now. She was alone. Poor decision on her side but she could easily call for Aermik if she so pleased. "You shall not get what you desire and the longer you are away from my kingdom, the more you will start to weaken. Eventually you will crawl your way back, just as you've done now. Such has always happened with summon and bound demons." She shrugged, but her words were true. Zelarous was bound to her and the further he got away from her, the weak he would become. Bellatrix then instantly decided she'd send for Aermik. On the off chance she fainted due to exhaustion. She could feel it sneaking up on her, but she was fighting it. A shadow appeared next to her, and she whispered for it to fetch Aermik.

"So tell me, just how weak have you gotten?"

Elsbeth had witnessed as the spectacle had quickly gone to a close, in a matter of about half a minute. But those 30 seconds had been enough to gather information for what was frankly, quite a surprise. She hadn't quite heard the discussion Galandor and Bellatrix had, but by their rapid departure she had guessed something was trying its' luck with the barrier. However, the true spectacle... was the meeting of lips in-between. Honestly, it had brought a hue of red to Elsbeth's own face, too. The two were lovebirds if she had ever saw any... it looked like they didn't quite know it yet, though. Should she bring this up with the Emperor after his return? He might be sensitive her seeing such a thing, so she'd probably have to reconsider on that decision. Either way, it seemed something burned anew in the Emperor's heart - and for that, Elsbeth was a little happy. At least, as long as it stayed that way.

However, she had been left practically alone near the gates of the castle, to her own awkwardness. Upon this awkwardness, stumbled a thought into her head - where was Tina, anyway? Elsbeth hadn't seen the girl since the cannon was shot at the barrier. Perhaps she had been hanging out somewhere inside the castle? It couldn't hurt to search for her, since she had nothing else to do. And so, she began to return into the workings of the castle, idly curious of everyone's whereabouts.

@Ami the breadling

(Ain't that scene gonna backfire now, Raizel. :P )

"Oh there are some truth to your words my former queen, but how quickly you forget just what it was that you summoned? Think back for your reasons for summoning me, when you were....different." a smile curled on his lips "I in fact am stronger than we last met, you should know why. You limited me from what I needed, and now I can go all out. The souls of your villagers on the outskirts tasted....divine. " he taunted, the souls he devoured made him stronger and increased the distance he could move from her. Perhaps one day he really would have free reign if he reaps enough of them. "Oh Bellatrix, the flames of these mortals cannot harm me, I come from the pits of hell, though, your fire I suppose is a different story." her black flames burnt as hot as his own. He held as much hatred for her as she did himself.

@xEmoBunnehx

Bellatrix's eyes narrowed as did the black wall of fire next to Zelarous. "That time his behind me, child." She said then added, "Though you may eat souls to temporarily boost your power, you shall never truly be the same without behind here next to me. Eventually the souls' power will only last mere seconds." She said her own smirk now forming as she reached for her whip. This was a weapon she had long retired, now only using it for..bedroom purposes though Zelarous would know to fear the weapon. Carefully she drew the whip and infused it with magic. The whip lit up with cursed fire from the handle to the tale, then she cracked it. A loud thunderous whip would come from the weapon, as Bellatrix's eyes never wavered from Zelarous's.

Under normal circumstances, she'd of never drawn such weapon nor touched it after she retired it some time ago, but facing someone who'd been with her since that time and knew what this weapon would do to him..well she couldn't help it. Of course she was only stalling until Aermik, or someone who heard the whip came. Though Bellarix was tired, and the more she fought this off..the worse it was getting. Eventually she was going to tire out and collapse. The spar with Galandor only making it harder for her to stand here. Her legs might soon give out.

@Zelarous @Anyone who can hear the whip if they so choose(?)

"Is that what you think? I am afraid you are very mistaken." he laughed as the souls were a permanent power, though it was true that the more souls he took in, the less effect they had. It was in a sense a type of diminishing return. It also depended on the strength of the person he took it from. Perhaps Bellatrix did not know as much about him as he had previously thought. His laughter stopped when he saw the whip now in her hands. Memories of its pain burrowed in his mind. It was nothing he had not experienced before but he would rather not experience it again, and for her to use such a thing in battle again was....extreme. Zelarous moved from the whip rather easily, which caught him off guard. He may have been fast, but she was much slower than usual. "Perhaps it is you who has weakened without my presence." he said as he clicked his fingers sending hell's fire towards her. "You are not the same woman I was to originally serve!" he shouted, his pain could be felt in his words.

Bellatrix's smirk turned into something more..dark as she saw how he reacted to her whip. Fear. Her mind whispered as her eyes went from lilac to pitch black. "Me? Weakened. Never. Simply tired from having to try and find traitorous scum like you." Her voice rose to a dark tone, a tone from a previous time. A tone he'd know well. She cracked the whip once more, this time sending it through the barrier and toward him. The fire he'd sent only seconds before hitting the barrier that stood between he and her. "Such a loyal little demon you were my child. What happened? Can't embrace change? Can't take that his 'perfect' little image faded? That his Queen was good. That his Queen was falling for someone other than he?" Her words struck out like venom, seeking to harm him. Seeking to see his facade fall. Her tone remained the same and her face only grew darker.

@Zelarous

Galandor heard a faint whisper of something in the wind. "Soldiers, assess the visitor's situation. I need to go." Galandor rushed to the other side. He oddly could feel the barrier oscillations, maybe because of Bellatrix's magic blending with his sigil. There was something going on. As he ran, he found Elsbeth, wandering back to the castle. He stopped, rushed. "Elsbeth, something's going on at the gates. Bellatrix may be in battle with something. Let's go." Galandor then started running again, swords already in hand.

@Zelarous @xEmoBunnehx @Pandorian

Aermik looked at Tina, curious, "Child, now where are you goi-" He looked to the wall, a shadow there as it told him the traitor returned. He sighed and began donning his armor and pulled his sword out. "Tina, stay here." He headed off, riding to where Bellatrix was, dismounting and shaking his head. "I'm not surprised." He sighed shaking his head, walking forward. "Just disappointed." He gave a look to Bellatrix, "Romantic evening with your new toy interrupted?"

Zelarous noticed that Bellatrix change in a way, that made him feel almost blissful for a moment. "That is the queen I knew, that is the queen I served!" he shouted as he sensed her murderous intent with that last strike. It had almost hit him, if it weren't for the fact that she had faced Galandor previously, he might of been in trouble. He took a few steps back from the barrier, far enough to where she would have to come out of the barrier herself to hit Zelarous. The words that struck him were those of her change. His eyes overcome with hatred, and his voice distorting becoming more demonic. "You brought me to this world, you knew what I was! I was never created to serve what you became, only what you once were. I had always been loyal, doing what needed to be done, regardless of it being your wish or not." he reached to his side and drew his black katana. Bellatrix would know that his meant he would become serious in this fight, he rarely used his sword. Though, with the barrier he could not use it. Then he saw Aermik, the man he blamed for Bellatrix' corruption.

Galandor arrived just after Aermik. "I'm not a toy, knight." He looked at Zelarous, right after the barrier. His eyes turned red and his swords started cracking with energy. "I knew you were stupid enough to return, but I didn't think it would be so fast." He cackled, then pointed a sword at him. "Now, assassin, tell me what last wish do you have?"

Aermik looked at Galandor. He looked him up and down. "Yeah, you kind of are. Oh well, at least you're not an idiot outside of a barrier with several tons of hot lead on top of him." He said with a shrug.

Bellatrix looked from Aermik to Galandor then back at Zelarous. "What I was?" She let out a laugh. "I am still the same Queen then I was before." She stated, and that as of current was no lie. Bellatrix's entire demeanor had changed. She was something only people who knew her before would recognize. "Now come Zelarous. Be a good little boy and bow." She demanded and cracked the whip once more. A warning. Inwardly Bellatrix was cursing this barrier. If was by far useful, but when it came to her needing to leave, she could not. She was bound to say on the inside. Never to leave unless she took it down.

@Zelarous @Airagog @Raizel

She began running behind Galandor with all her legs could do to follow. She arrived at the scene quite a few moments after him, observing the scene which was a bit foreign to her. With further ado, she slid slightly behind Galandor, intimidated by Bellatrix's... new demeanor. She drew both her great blades, but stood vigilant, as if on the defensive rather on the offensive. She had actually never met Aermik before, so she had preferred if she could delay the confrontation as much as possible. Under her breath, she whispered to Galandor a question that she had been meaning to ask; "So he's the traitor..? Seems he loves to show his true colours."

Though Galandor and Airagog had arrived, Zelarous' attention was captured by Bellatrix. He was seeing a glimpse of something that he had not seen for so long. It was his queen, the one he had been summoned by. Her presence was intense, her words absolute. "Wha- what is this?" he stammered to himself. His legs felt weak in such a presence, though not of fear. That was the queen he would do anything for, standing before him once more. He slowly forced his legs to walk towards the barrier. He dropped his black bladed katana on the ground. He knew what he was doing wasn't smart but he was compelled as if under a spell of sorts. Perhaps it was because she had summoned him, or perhaps deep inside he had longed for a moment to see her as he had when he first laid eyes on her. His knees dropped before Bellatrix and before the barrier. He pressed his forehead and hands against it. "Why have you left me for so long, I couldn't stand it." he said referring to her older self that had seemed to appear.

@xEmoBunnehx @Airagog @Raizel @Pandorian

Galandor looked skeptically at Zelarous. "He's a fanatic. Nothing less than that." He said to Elsbeth. Ignoring Aermik for now, he directed his gaze to Bellatrix. Somehow he felt that she was different. "Bellatrix. What do you want to do to him? Forgiveness? Execution? I'd love some traitor roast right now." He said, as dry as the barren lands of his hometown. He felt no sympathy for him, and was only waiting for Bellatrix's say on the matter to strike down. He had an alliance with her, sure, but it was her kingdom and problems. As much as he liked her, soon he would depart from this place, back to his hometown. There are too many problems there to fix before worrying about Bellatrix's kingdom.

@Zelarous @Pandorian @xEmoBunnehx @Airagog

Aermik sighed, looking at the mountains. "IHey Zelarous. What do you call a demon that's been hit by several tons of iron and steel?"

Bellatrix felt empowered as Zelarous fell to his knees before her. Her lips curled into a snake like grin as her free hand reached down and through the barrier, cupping the side of his face and tilted it up toward her. "My little Zelarous. You look so lost." She said, her voice almost soft and blissful as she gazed down at him. "Have you truly missed me?" She asked him in the same tone. "Because surely if you did..you'd never of betrayed my kingdom." Her hand slipped under his jaw and gripped it tightly as her eyes looked like they were set blaze with rage, anger, and something else. Something..Dark. "You have committed high treason. You are not loyal. You are not who I thought you were." She voice was tight as her face went serious and her hand gripped the whip hard. "You will pay for this betrayal." She demanded her voice growing harder as she looked to Aermik. "Get the cannon." She said then looked back to Zelarous as she pulled her hand back.

"Bad boys must be punished."

@Zelarous @Raizel @Airagog @Pandorian

Aermik looked at Bellatrix, then turned away from Zelarous as a deafening boom resounded, shaking the mountain as the ground in front of them shook and erupted as the cannon had fired, the shot aiming to where Zelarous stood, the ground erupting in fire and shrapnel as Aermik didn't even turn to look back at his body, the barrier absorbing most of the impact, but still left the question of shrapnel. "That's the thing Bellatrix. I've been five steps ahead this entire time." He said as he smiled wickedly.

A wound had been opened within himself. He had thought that he had truly freed himself from this thing known as loyalty, yet the smallest sight of his master's old ways had bent him to her will like a dog at heel. "Dammit." was all he could mutter to himself. Perhaps he could never obtain what he wished for, perhaps their were things about demonic summoning's that he himself didn't know of. What he was feeling was not of a natural cause, it was not normal. She lifted his head "I...I do, I have missed you how you are now. Bloodthirsty, confident, and terrifying." her hand gripped onto his jaw with a crushing grip. Perhaps in his last moments he would see his master as her true self. A noise took Zelarous off guard as his gaze looked towards the noise. A blast surrounded him in an instant that had sent him flying. He landed on the hard barren ground in which he bounced off a few times. He didn't know how to feel. On one hand Bellatrix was out for blood, which comforted him, however, he feared she had simply tricked him and would only return to her old self when she was through with him. He opened his eyes and tried to get up but he couldn't. He had shrapnel rippled throughout his body. He tried to get up again but as soon as he almost got to a knee he fell again like a wounded animal. "I have been tricked..." he muttered to himself "I know I have been tricked."
