Fantasy The War (Players Needed)

@xEmoBunnehx[/URL] @Airagog
Aermik shook his hand and shrugged, "I have no dreams of grandeur nor do I have ambition. I exist to serve and protect. I am general for pragmatic reasons. The people trust me as I find no work beneath me so long as it serves a purpose. That coupled with the fact that I cannot die, and I am prime candidate to lead the army. As for peace it has been relatively peaceful for the past few weeks. Fighting has been heavy on all sides for newly discovered land, but treaties will soon end said fighting with us coming out on top." He nodded as he let out a sigh. "War fatigue is a very real thing. If troops do not want to fight, they won't. Pragmaticism, always an important ideal to follow."

"W-wait...!", she uttered, panicking a little in her stance as the doors were opened in spite of her protest. Upon hearing the announcer, she began to concede to her current fate. Walking into the throne room with her previous sluggishness in her step, Elsbeth confronted her parents - for the first time in over five years. Keeping her feelings of regret behind her, she finally decided on a small phrase which, at the time, seemed fitting; "...W-well, I'm home. Father. Mother.".
Elsbeth could easily see the tears of her parents from there. She approached them, noticing the darkness that lay underneath their eyes. Had they been sleeping right recently? Surely they hadn't been losing sleep because of her... though, it didn't seem that far-fetched, considering they had been the ones to set up this meeting so suddenly. Unprompted, her mother spoke up, her voice in a noticeable tremble; "...E... Elsbeth...". Notably cut off by her husband, he then continued in her stead. "Look here, Elsbeth... we're really...", he stated, Elsbeth expecting to hear his disappointment, but received a more confusing continuation instead. "...we're really glad, Elsbeth. Glad you came back. Your mother was worried sick... y-you know? You were labelled as a traitor... a bandit... but we knew you had your reasons... we never lost hope. And now that you're here, it seems all the more unreal. T...Thank you to the forge's flames, Emperor Galandor. For all of this.". Almost by reflex as her parents began to succumb to their tears, Elsbeth embraced the two in a home-felt hug, comforting them. A passing thought - she had certainly grown since their last meeting. At least, enough that she now seemed to surpass her mother in height. Her father was another story. But for this single moment, it was just her, and her family.

@Raizel

(Actually mulling over how I should approach this was hard than I thought. Not even sure if I did it right. O.o )
Galandor stood there, watching the scene unfold. He was smiling, after all, he did something that would have made Emperor Lionheart proud. His mentor and friend. He kept silent, giving time to the family. Before the Hearthfire Treason unfolded, Galandor, at the time General of the Blaze Guard, the same position Elsbeth now occupied, the Naman'ic household was loyal to Lionheart, and when he met his fate, backstabbed by one of his closest allies, their destiny was thrown away from the kingdom. Galandor felt that this mended even a tiny part of those horrible events. He simply nodded when her father addressed him, and gave a heartfelt smile at the scene. After a while he sat downin the Magma Throne, it's light glowing slightly more, feeling the presence of its master. After some minutes, he directed to the family. "I have already told Elsbeth, and I think i haven't told you. Elsbeth has proven herself to be a fantastic leader and a proficient soldier in combat. Her deeds in Quaani were proof that she should be the new General of the Blaze Guard, a post that I had before the Hearthfire Treason. This should mend any wrongdoings that the wretched Duke of Hearthfire brought upon you. The nomination will be tomorrow afternoon." Galandor reclined in the throne, finally resting after long days.

Bellatrix was joyed over the two meeting. It was almost perfect. Almost. The rest of her family needed to be here.. At that thought a frown graced her features. "I'd have you meet the rest of my lovely family..but it appears I'm not very fit to have one.." She said softly and looked away from the two. In truth she felt horrible about everything that ensued today. She'd lost two of her family members within a matter of hours. Hell she didn't even remember Zelarous being sent back to hell, but it happened and Tina..poor Tina must be all alone out there somewhere far away..would the girl ever return? The answer was likely no. Bellatrix had treated her family so poorly in so few hours. She did not deserve them. All of these thoughts only made her more depressed and anxious to the point where she was biting her lower lip. Something the two men before her would know as a bad sign.

Thalia looked to him and nodded as they walked out of the throne room and towards the garden which was on the other part of the castle, there were two gardens one inside while the other one was in the courtyard of the castle. Thalia smiled as she walked down the hallway, today seemed like a good day. She could already smell the food being prepared and she was getting hungrier by the minuet but she could wait for a couple of more hours until it was done. "I will take you to the garden that was have inside the building, but from your bedroom you will see it since it overlooks the courtyard." Thalia said to him.
Nodding at Thalia Faolin smiled. He stated, "Then I will have a lovely sight from my bedroom." He grinned then looked at her then bowed to her as he stated, "Ladies first. Besides I don't know the way." His eyes sparkled with joy. Thankful his joy at being with her overpowered the love normally their Faolin looked at Thalia. For a second he wondered if she knew he loved her truly loved her for who she was. He doubted it. She had possibly know when he had taken her hand that first time when she had pulled away because of memories. He had never been brave enough to take her hand again. He had wanted to many times but never had the courage or the guts to take that step so he remained just a friend although he wanted more he sense she wasn't ready for more.

"Let me be clear, life is a constant test, you live or you die, that is the way of the world." He paused. "If the troops are too weak to fight, then they shall die for their weakness, but those who can live on will be deemed strong." He grinned to Aermik. "And those who attempt to cheat the way of this cycle, to escape the test, are the worst kind of thing to be, a coward." The bearded man's eyes shifted, to Bella as she spoke up about being undeserving. His expression remained the same, but a glimmer of pity would take place in his eyes for a second. His tongue licked his lips as he thought of what to say, before he finally spoke. "What stops you from showing me the rest of your family" A frown touched his features, death was not uncommon in this world. "You're very deserving of whatever you want." Uhtred could only sigh as he recalled defeat at her hands, she had earned his servitude, after a few decades he would stop being angry about it and accept his place, for now. Soon he had grown to enjoy his place, but only done realizing that almost two centuries late.

Aermik let out a sigh and shook his head. "One of them I executed for treason. The other has ran off. I am afraid that recent events have taken a toll on my mistress. Please do not press the matter further. As for, in your words, my attempt to 'cheat the cycle' I cheat nothing. My body refuses to give up so long as I have purpose. I have suffered many a fatal injury, even beheading on multiple occaisons, yet here I stand. As for the attitude towards soldiers I wholeheartedly applaud your mentality. It's the same mentality that causes commanders to be executed. If you are strong enough to handle an entire army that is much better equipt than since you left, then I would ask you end the war immediately. However if you are unable to survive several tons of hot metal hitting you at full force, then soldiers are still necessary." He closed his eyes, his hands folded across his lap as he sat. He slowly got up and walked towards Bellatrix, taking her hands in his. "Come on mistress. You should get some rest. Today has been a bit much even for me." He said softly, rubbing her hands and waiting to help her up and to her room.

Bellatrix had completely zoned out from their conversation to mentally degrade herself. When Aermik's hands touched her's she jumped slightly before looking up him with the most sorrow filled eyes she'd ever had in quite the few years. "Yeah..rest.." She mumbled then looked to Uhtred. "Rest. That's what we shall get.." She said. It was very obvious that Bellatrix was not in the right headset at all right now and it was true. She took the loss of her loved one very hard and quite literally blamed herself a lot of the time. Or at least that's what she'd done after loosing Demitri and several other people along her long life. Bellatrix aloud Aermik to help her from the bed, though she couldn't help but wonder..would he leave too?

"Ah, of course, a mob of weaklings can occasionally be troublesome." The swordsman chuckled. There was a good reason for his lack of leadership, he was a warrior, a fighter, not a leader or general. Truth be told he was more prone to killing those close to him while in a battle, making it better to place him at the brunt of things. "You need your rest, as Aermik said." The swordsman would agree that the undead would somehow need sleep, he didn't think too hard about those things. The swordsman would follow the two, stepping within the room and letting Aermik guide their shared queen to the bed. He would stay silent lipped, knowing Aermik perhaps the knew the best way to comfort her in words, as he knew the most about the situation. But Uhtred would stand back, watching with an expression void of emotion. He'd wait his turn to talk to the Queen. Unless of course somehow he'd get caught up in question within their exchange.

Thalia smiled, she loved being around him for some reason. "I believe dinner is done early today," She said to him since she heard a light chime down the hallway that means lunch is done already.

Aermik slowly walked the queen to her room, "I'm going to bring her back, you know." He quietly said. "If you think I've given up, then you're even more of a fool than Zelarous. If death isn't enough to get me to quit, then what is?" He asked as they reached her room, he brought her to the bed and gently laid her down. He gently brushed her hair to the side, "I'm worried for you. Now perhaps more then ever. We both lost a comrade and we are in danger of losing our daughter. But I won't let that happen."

Bellatrix sat up in bed and grabbed his hands and squeezed tightly. "I..am very sorry I worry you..so much has happened..and only in the matter of a day. I did not realize how truly fragile the situation really was.." She swallowed hard before continuing. "When you bring her home..I'm going to have the biggest ball in honor of you all..its the very least I can do for how much you all do for me.." Her grip tightened a bit. "Thank you Aermik. For everything." She said, her eyes unwavering from his as she thanked him, not only for this but for all he had done in the past few years he'd been around. "Bring her home..tell her I'm very sorry and I miss her more than anything. But she'd our daughter and she's tough as nails." She gave a small smile. Tina may not have been blood, but she's all Bellatrix had next to Aermik and Uhtred. Bellatrix tried her best to raise the girl with good morals and be a good mother, but the fact Tina ran off only made her see that she was quite unfit. "And..make sure you come home too. Both of you. Alive and well."

Aermik nodded, embracing Bellatrix and pulling her into his chest, holding her tightly. "I promise I will. I'll leave first thing in the morning and I will bring her back as soon as I can. And I promise that I'll survive. I always do." He smiled. "I think it's funny, the one who's virtually unkillable in the land of the dead is purely human." He held her close to him, his body trying to warm up hers as his heart pounded in his chest. It was steady, slow, but firm and loud. Like the heart of a patient lover. "For tonight, I think I'll stay here, ensure you are in good health before I leave. I promise, I'll be as quick as I can."

Uhtred was silent as the two talked, his gaze would wander about them, so they had shared a daughter? The swordsman hadn't expected Bella to ever bare children, well he had never gave that idea the grace of thought. Finally he was mentioned to some extent, he paused to recall their words, so she expected Uhtred to go with Aermik to find their daughter. He would not object, he had no reason to. His eyes did watch as a small grin formed. "No need to stay Aermik, I've overseen Bella's 'health' for centuries before you, if anything it'd be best for the daughter to be returned as quick as possible. Normally, I'd offer up myself for the task, but she doesn't know me and I know nothing of her, if she's gone to a kingdom I'd probably start a war. So, you, her father should choose your daughter's safety and return. I can watch over Bella, for the night." He paused. "Unless you want me to go and bring back your daughter for you."

@Airagog @xEmoBunnehx

Bellatrix's head laid upon his chest before a soft giggle escaped her. "So I have to share my bed with the two of you?" She joked softly as she looked up at him, the tiniest of smiles of her face as she looked from him to Uhtred. "I hope nether of you snore." She giggled. Her hopes had been raised as well as her spirits. Her family would just maybe..be okay. As for the two of them sleeping in her bed, well it was bound to be an interesting night. She wondered if they'd wind up snuggling together. The thought of that made her giggle even more. Two grisly men just casually snuggling. She was glad to have the both, even if they were to very different people. Though at Uhtred's words Bellatrix frowned. "No. You're both sleeping in here." She demanded leaving no room for arguments. It was true though that Tina needed to be found meditatively but she knew Aermik was only human and he was likely very tired. More so than her.

Vlad walked around the Dark Kingdom after being told to come back to the castle the following day. As he walked around, he admired the splendid architecture. The atmosphere was dark and perfect, the skies were black as night. Everything here was eye candy to Vlad.

He stumbled upon a bench which he then proceeded to take a seat on. He took off his orange tinted glasses and placed it on the bench.

He decided to sit there until it was time to go to the castle.

Carson walked out of his latest target's home in the fire kingdom. He was sent to kill a man that owed alottt of money to someone in the earth kingdom and that's a big no no. As Carson slowly switched back to his human form he sighed looking at the scenery "heh a very......warm place~ I may stay here if things don't work out with the Earth kingdom....." He sighed and walked off to go home and get his reward

Being lifted, Tina awoke. "W-Where... Where am I?", she asked and saw the guy that carried her. "Who.. Who are you? Are you a bandit?", she asked and freed herself, drawing a knife. But she couldnt hold herself up on the ground and fell, dropping her knife. "I... I can defend myself...", she muttered and desperatly tried to get up.

Before Shin realized that the little girl awoke, the Girl freed herself and draw a knife. He sighed as she collapsed again and lifted her up again, continuing his way to the room for her. "I'm not a bandit... And you can't defend yourself in this state..." Shin said and chuckled. "I'm the King of the Light Kingdom, Shisaki Shinja Gouji..." He said and smiled, as they finally reached the room. He entered it and placed her into the bed. He covered her in a Blanket and sat down on a Chair next to the bed. "..."

Ammax

Swipe... Swipe... Swipe...

Ammax ran the rock along the blade of his weapon. He pressed his finger against it, the weapon slicing clean down to the bone. He stood, his hoof hitting the soft sand. He swung the weapon around, a delightfull whoosh noise coming from the space near it. He swiftly swiped at the sand, a straight line forming. He jumped back when a loud noise resonated through the area. He held his weapon by his side, and looked around for the source of the noise. He soon spotted Yer'Sat sleeping ontop of a statue. Ammax chuckled, and slammed his palms together, making a loud clapping noise.

Yer'Sat's head snapped up, causing him to lose balance and fall, landing with a thud. Ammax laughed, and shook his head. Yer'Sat stood up, and glared at Ammax. He soon happily skipped over to Ammax, and rubbed his head against Ammax's chest. Ammax patted his head.

"Good boy." Ammax said. His ears flickered, and he glanced around. Ammax looked around for anthing that might have cought Yer'Sat's attention. As he turned his head to the side, an arrow flew by. Ammax snarled, and look around. He spotted a man near the entrance of the Temple. Ammax took his weapon, Yer'Sat following close by. Ammax pointed at the man. Yer'Sat roared, the man looking shocked. The Lin charged after the robber. The man pulled out a sword, Yer'Sat freezing in place. Yer'Sat stepped back, and reversed untill he reached Ammax. He rubbed his temples. So much for a lion... He thought. "Wimp..." Ammax said, looking at Lion. He shrunk under his gaze, and Ammax looked back at the robber. He was pointing an arrow at Ammax. He attemped to move out of the way, but it scraped alon his shoulder. Ammax snorted, and charged at the Man, weapon out. The man took out his dagger. Ammax swiped his weapon, it colliding with the robbers side. He fell over, grunting. Ammax lifted his weapon, and the robber threw his dagger at his chest. Ammax grunted, and le his weapon fall on accident. He mans head shot up, but soon fell back down. Dead... Ammax looked at the dagger in his chest, and frowned. It had an engraving of a plant on the handle. Why didnt it use its powers? He thought. Shrugging, he ripped the dagger out. He heard a whine behind him. He sighed, and looked at Yer'Sat. He had his head low, and inched closer to Ammax. Ammax smiled, and rubbed his head.

"What would I do without you..." He whispered.

"Surprise... didn't think I'd come home empty-handed, do you..?" Elsbeth muttered, a content smile layering itself upon her lips. The faces of her parents practically lit up right in front of her. The darkness under their eyes seemed to fade in an instant. "That's... that's just wonderful, Elsbeth! That's news from the heavens!" her father sparked, as if in glee from the idea itself. Cutting in like he did, her mother spoke up once more; "I... I'd thought I'd never see a day where our little girl would be in the Blaze Guard, yet alone a General... is there anything else w-we should know about?". Elsbeth responded to this with the only thing she could think of on her mind. "Hmn... I'm taller than you now, if that's any achievement. Not so little anymore.", she mentioned, "...though, I'll always be your little girl in your eyes, it seems."

Loosening herself from their embrace, she turned towards Galandor, the warm smile still emblazoned upon her face. "So... should I thank you now, or later? I feel even an Emperor would be wanting a rest after that trip - I don't blame you. Might've thought of a rest myself if it weren't my first time in the kingdom in years. Speaking of which... anything else I need to do before tomorrow?"

Galandor waved a hand in front of his face. "There's no need to thank me. Be here tomorrow first thing in the morning, with your best armor..."He looked at her, evaluating the armor she still had. "Scratch that, let's go down to the Forges. We'll ask them to forge a new armor for you. There's some advanced armors on the storage, they can reforge them to your fitting, and to whatever you may like. Then you're dismissed to rest, stay with your family." He rose from the throne. "I'll make your weapon myself, overnight." He saluted Elsbeth's parents, and beckoned her to follow him. "So, do you prefer an axe, or perhaps a longsword?" He smiled. The king loved the Lava Forges, after all, it was the place he grew up. His mother, a forgemaster, kept him around, while his father, an elemental, worked in the core, providing heat and fire to the Forges. The children who lived there were called he Forge-Born, and they were taught by the smiths and workers of the Forges, with kindness and resolve. He never knew the story on how his parents met, but it was irrelevant. They taught him everything he knew about smithing, and supported them fully when he decided to join the Blaze Guard. His father returned to the Primordial Fire, and his mother passed away peacefully 5 years ago. He went down, part for making Elsbeth's weapon, part to remember the good times of the childhood.

Locke was on his usual route back from locating the nearest taverns and sampling their strongest brews. He did have to roll out of the way of some bandits on the way, but nothing he couldn't handle. As he neared the Air Kingdom ruins he called home, he heard the sound of stone on metal. He flew lazily to a proper vantage point in the form of a pillar and gazed in horror at what he saw. Whatever that... thing was, he wasn't fighting it. And it had a pet. As the robber approached, missed with the arrow, and drew his sword, he wanted the guy to grow some common sense and run. And then he saw the thing bleed, fight, and kill. He shuddered. "OK, not fighting that guy." He began looking for a way around trying to avoid getting it's attention and having to fight it.
