Fandom The Untold Stories of Hogwarts - 1x1 HP RP

Xavier was certainly confused at the last name. He was a fourth year too. It was odd, but like the others, Xavier cheered the champions from Hogwarts as well as a respectful cheer to their visiting students. Dumbledore had a few more things to add before he dismissed the students for the night. He cleared his throat and the cheering all died down as the students turned their attention to him. "We are all excited for this tournament, a few things. The first task will be given to the champions to prepare, but it will take place on November 24th. And, to keep with festivities, on December 25th there will be a Yule Ball held here. The Great Hall will be cleared out and it will take place there. That is all for now. Thank you and have a good night" Dumbledore said, dismissing everyone. A ball? Xavier had never been to one of those, but he knew it was a dance, and many would have partners. He wanted to ask Aaron, but he didn't think the teen would be interested in going with him instead of some of the more attractive girls.

Aaron hadn’t been paying much attention to what Dumbledore had said until he heard the word “ball.” They were having a ball on Christmas? Aaron wondered who he would take to this Yule Ball. Perhaps it was expected of him to take an attractive young Gryffindor girl. He could probably have any Gryffindor girl and girl in general their year just because of his looks alone and of course, his Quidditch skills. But even if Aaron could ask out a pretty female to this Yule Ball, he didn’t want to. All he wanted was to go to this ball with Xavier. But the boy knew that this was probably a silly thought. Surely Xavier had his eyes set on some Hufflepuff girl. Who could say no to Xavier if he were to ask them? With those adorable little bangs he was practically undeniable.

Xavier had been thinking that while it was probably more commonplace to ask a girl to go with him, he didn't want to. Sure, he could ask a girl, there were several pretty girls in his house. He didn't want any of them though. He wanted to ask Aaron. The Gryffindor boy could probably have several girls that would agree to go with him. The rugged hair and beautiful hazel eyes were sure to draw in anyone, they drew Xaie in, and with his Quidditch skills there was no way he couldn't have any girl he wanted. He stood from his table at the dismissal and looked over to see if he could see Aaron at all.

The date was November 21st, 1994. Today was the day that Hogwarts was allowing all students, third years and above, to take a trip to Hogsmeade. As Aaron was a fourth year, that meant he could go no problem. Of course, he was going with his trusty Hufflepuff buddy Xavier. The weather was a bit chilly so Aaron wore a brown overcoat that his father had owned when he was young. Underneath of course were his Gryffindor robes. The boy took nothing but his wand as he waited for Xavier in the Great Hall, where they would meet before going to Hogsmeade. Aaron couldn’t wait to spend the day with his best friend in the whole wide world. He was also very much looking forward to downing glasses of butterbeer. Xavier would certainly had to limit him.

Xavier had spent more time getting ready than he'd ever done. He adjusted his hair twice now, fixed his robes once and sighed. It was the Hogsmeade trip day and he had a plan. He threw on his black jacket, tightened his golden and black scarf neatly around his neck. "Good luck" Ryan called, he wasn't coming with them today. "Thanks!" He called, running down the stairs, through the common room and out into the hall. He adjusted his jacket again before fixing his bangs again. Xavier walked past the kitchens and headed into the Great Hall. His eyes were scanning the crowd until they fell upon Aaron, who was dressed in a brown overcoat. He felt a blush cross his face as he looked at his friend. Okay, you got this Xaie He thought to himself, taking a deep breath and walking over. "Hey Aaron!" He said, before a stray bang fell in his face. He swiped it to the side before stepping up to the teen.

Aaron kept his hair rather messy. He quite liked the look and he was assuming since Xavier hadn’t said anything about it that it was fine. Really, he thought it made him look cool if he had to admit, but that was an embarrassing little secret. He patted down his coat as he waited for Xavier. His scarlet and gold stripped Gryffindor scarf was stuffed inside of one of the pockets of the coat. Just then, Xavier had came over to him. Instantly, a smile appeared on his face as he greeted his best friend. “Hullo Xaie! Ready for Hogsmeade?” he asked his buddy. Aaron stopped and stared at Xavier for a minute. He looked oh so adorable all bundled up in his yellow and black Hufflepuff scarf.

Xavier looked at his friend with a smile. He found Aaron's messy hair rather attractive and was glad he never decided to change it. He felt his cheeks flush as Aaron smiled at him. "I definitely am!" He said with a grin, though if things didn't go to plan he'd probably have to hide under a rock or change his name. "Between you and me, I can't wait for some butterbeer" He said, sending a playful wink at his friend. Then the nerves hit again, and he ran a hand through his hair subconsciously before fixing his bangs again.

“Well let’s get going then!” Aaron laughed. “To the Three Broomsticks!” he said. “I was just thinking of butterbeer- you read my mind!” Aaron said as he walked out of the Great Hall with Xavier. “I’m thinking I’ll have like six glasses,” he snickered as they left the castle.

Xavier walked beside his friend as he laughed. "I just know you" He said with a grin, nudging the boys shoulder. He then gave his friend a look. "I'm not carrying you back if you have six glasses" He said with a chuckle. He wasn't sure when he'd enact his plan, but he wanted it before Aaron had too many glasses. Maybe he should do before they get to the Three Broomsticks. There was a pretty overhang that looked out over the village, and with the light dusting of snow, it would look perfect. As they approached the village, Xavier changed direction, beckoning for Aaron to follow him up to the overhang.

The November of 1994 was particularly cold and today, it was snowing lightly. Aaron laughed as Xavier gave him a little nudge. “Oh yes you are,” he chuckled as they traversed through the light coating of snow on the ground. The two soon approached and then entered the pleasant village of Hogsmeade. There were a few students out and about and Aaron noticed many couples holding hands. It made him slightly jealous- he didn’t think he’d ever find love like that. He had Xavier sure, but no way the boy liked him like THAT. It wasn’t meant to be, he thought as he took out his Gryffindor scarf from his coat and wrapped it around his neck tightly. There was a chill to the air so the scarf was much needed today. Aaron followed Xavier into the village and he began looking around for the Three Broomsticks pub.

Xavier was walking beside Aaron, he looked around and saw the path he wanted. He had noticed the couples and looked away. "Hey Aaron? Do you think you would want to come see something with me?" He asked, looking at the boy who was looking for the pub. He needed to do this before they had drinks otherwise he'd never get the answer. When Xaie had too many butterbeers, he was very cuddly and said whatever came to mind so he was going to try and get this done now. He waited with baited breath to hear the answer.

Aaron perked his eyebrows up and looked over at Xavier curiously. “Oh uhh, yea! Sure mate!” he replied with a sweet smile. The butterbeers would have to wait. But he was more than content to put the butterbeers on hold if it meant that Xavier needed him and wanted to show him something. His attention was surely captured now. Besides, Aaron got quite tipsy when he had a lot of butterbeers. He’d gotten so drunk off the stuff last year during the Gryffindor Quidditch team’s celebration for winning the Cup in Hogsmeade back in June. Two of Aaron’s teammates had to carry him out of the pub as he mumbled silly nothings the whole time.

Xavier smiled as he led the way down the path. It wound up and came to an over hang that looked out over the entire village. Dusted in snow, it truly was a picturesque sight. He swallowed hard as he waited for Aaron to come over. "It's quite pretty don't you think?" He asked, trying to steel his nerves.

Aaron followed his Hufflepuff companion down a path. He could see the entire village of Hogsmeade from the overpass they had stopped at. Aaron looked to Xavier, wondering why they had stopped here and then looked out down at the village. It was quite a beautiful sight with the snow gently falling. It was quite aside from the two boys’ voices and the distant chatter of students down in the town. “Err, yea, it is quite nice,” chuckled Aaron, “But why did you take me here?” he asked. “Those butterbeers aren’t gonna drink themselves, you know?” Aaron joked with a light chuckle.

Xavier let out a deep breath, turning and looking at Aaron. He took his friends hands in his, even though he felt like he was shaking like a leaf, his hands were steady. "Aaron, we've been through a lot over the last few years and I'm glad that I got to go through it with such an amazing best friend by my side. But, things have changed, in a good way. I-I've been thinking a lot, and I was wondering if you would want to go with me to the Yule Ball as my date?" He finally finished talking, and all he could do was wait now.

Aaron looked down at the village but quickly looked over at Xavier as he felt the Hufflepuff boy take his hands in his. Aaron looked Xavier in his beautiful brown eyes with his own stunning hazel ones as Xavier spoke. Aaron felt his heart flutter as Xavier began to say all of these nice things about him. But his hazel eyes widened and his heart seemed to stop as Xavier did something very unexpected. Aaron felt butterflies floating around in his tummy and his heart began to pound fast now, passionately. Aaron’s mouth hung open in utter shock as thoughts raced through his brains. Xavier Collins had just asked him out to the Yule Ball!

Never in a million years did Aaron think that Xavier harbored any sort of feelings like the ones he felt towards him, back. One did not ask someone to the Yule Ball if they did not think of someone as a potential romantic partner. Boys asked out girls they liked and girls asked out boys they liked. Aaron couldn’t believe that Xavier was asking him out to the Yule Ball now. It took a while for Aaron to process the question as he was in shock, but eventually his emotions overcame him and he suddenly took Xavier and spun him around joyfully.

Aaron was laughing now as he came to a stop, still holding Xavier’s tender hands. “Are you bloody serious? Are you for real?” Aaron asked in disbelief. “Xavier bleedin’ Collins has just asked me out to the Yule Ball? I must be dreaming!” Aaron said, laughing again. “Yes! The answer is yes mate! One thousand times more yes!” Aaron said as he quickly wrapped Xavier into a tight hug. “I cannot believe this! I’m in heaven!” he said, taking in all of Xavier’s scent. “I’d love to go to the Yule Ball with you, I’d be honored to be your date,” he said.

Xavier had stood there for a moment after he'd asked the question, his nerves were on fire. Suddenly, Aaron took Xavier and spun him around, which made Xavier laugh. Aaron stopped them before he started. Xavier heard the disbelief but then he started laughing again, saying that he was dreaming that Xavier had asked him out. Xavier's brain short circuited for a second when Aaron said yes. His brain started reacting again when Aaron wrapped him in a tight hug. Xavier's arms went around Aaron and returned the hug. He was so nervous to ask, afraid that Aaron would've looked at him like he was crazy or run for the hills and never look back. He'd never thought that his feelings would be returned. Xavier smiled, tucking his head into Aaron's neck, the pine scent wrapping around him. "I'm really, really happy to hear that." He said. He didn't want to move, afraid to break the bubble they were in.

“Erm- i- is it weird to admit this right now? Th- that I’ve kinda uhh, had weird feelings and stuff about you- especially since we spent the summer together,” began Aaron awkwardly as they stayed hugging. “I- I’ve liked you, LIKE THAT, for a few months now,” he said, a red hot blush burning at his cheeks. The pretty brown eyes, the amazing personality, those adorable bangs- everything about Xavier was perfect in Aaron’s eyes.

Xavier let out a warm chuckle. "It's not weird, I've been experiencing similar feelings about you for a while myself." He leaned back, maintaining the hug but to look in his eyes. "I've liked you, Like THAT, since um, May I think?" He blushed, his own cheeks burning red. He had realized that between his beautifully expressive hazel eyes, rough styled hair and sweetheart personality, Aaron was everything Xaie could ever hope for in a partner. He rested his head back on Aaron's chest with a small contented sigh.

“May? Bloody hell,” said Aaron, widening his eyes and blushing even more. “Why didn’t I see it?” he asked. Aaron gently ran his fingers through Xavier’s long hair as the boy put his head on his chest. “I uhh, I’ve been wanting to say this for a while but umm, I really like your new hair style,” said Aaron shyly, blushing like a maniac right then and there. “Those bangs they umm- they make you look- they make you look cute…” he admitted, blushing even more as he revealed this to his best friend.

Xavier heard Aaron's words and smiled. "I'm really good at hiding my feelings" He said softly. Xavier let out another contented sigh as he felt fingers run through his hair. That felt nice. He heard the shy words, but didn't pick up his head. "T-Thanks, I-I'm glad you like them. I um, I like your messy hairstyle, it makes you look handsome" He said, blushing profusely himself. He didn't want to stop the fingers running through his hair, which was the only reason he hadn't looked up.

The butterflies sensation in Aaron’s stomach returned again as Xavier had said he liked how he was keeping his hair messier. His cheeks burned bright red and he was glad that Xavier’s head was buried in his chest right now so he couldn’t see it. “Y- you really think so?” he asked shyly. “Thanks mate,” he said, holding Xavier close to him tightly. He couldn’t believe this was happening. Xavier was his, and his alone. Over three years of being the boy’s best friend and now he was something more special it seemed. He had a date to the Yule Ball and perhaps, a partner for beyond. Both boys were blushing messes now. Finally, once the natural color had slowly returned to Aaron face, he broke from the hug. He smiled softly and gently adjusted a lock of Xavier’s hair and put it behind the boy’s ear. “Now come on, let’s go get some butter beers at the Three Broomsticks. I think this is cause for celebration!” Aaron said, grinning widely.

Xavier smiled as he heard him. "I do really think so. You're welcome" He said softly. Xavier didn't move a muscle, just enjoyed the closeness. He couldn't believe that Aaron had said yes. It took over three years, but he finally had Aaron the way he had always felt. Ever since the first train ride, they'd had a connection, it took over three years for it to form past friendship. Aaron was now Xavier's. He was his date, and he hoped a partner past the ball. When Aaron broke the hug, Xavier lifted his head to look at the boy. He blushed as Aaron gently adjusted a stray lock of his hair to behind his ear. "That sounds like fantastic idea! Let's celebrate" Xavier took Aaron's hand and led the way down the path.

Aaron grinned from ear to ear as he held Xavier hand and walked down the path. He practically skipped into the village with Xavier. He looked around at all of the couples. Now, he was one too. He hummed a happy little tune with some pep in his step as he approached the Three Broomsticks pub with his favorite adorable Hufflepuff companion. Aaron quickly let go of Xavier’s hand and opened the door, holding it for him in an attempt to be gentlemanly. “After you, my good sir,” he said in his best high class British English accent. It made him think of the way that Jacob natural spoke. If only Jacob could see him now. Sure the boy didn’t get along with Xavier at all but Aaron would like to think that Jacob would’ve been proud and happy for the two of them.

Xavier smiled at Aaron as they walked through the village. It made his heart soar hearing Aaron humming a happy little tune and seemed happy. When they made it to the pub, Xavier laughed as Aaron opened the door for him. "Why thank you" He faked a courtsy just inside the pub. It didn't take long for the two to find a table to sit at though.
