Fandom The Untold Stories of Hogwarts - 1x1 HP RP

Aaron quickly followed Xavier into the pub as he closed the door behind them. It wasn’t too crowded and there were a few students from Hogwarts, mostly couples, sitting together. Aaron even saw one couple making out rather passionately in one of the booths. They found an open seat and Aaron went up to order some butterbeers from the bartender. “Oi bar keep! Two butterbeers for me and my best mate please!” Aaron requested. The bartender made quick work and fixed Aaron up two glasses of the sweet delicious beverage. “Thanks a lot lad!” Aaron said as he brought the two glasses over to the table. He set them down and sat, sliding over one of the glasses to Xavier. Aaron grabbed his mug and took a big sip. He didn’t know it but there was a bit of foam on his nose as he did so. “Oi did you see that couple snogging in booth four?” snickered Aaron. “That dude was really going to town, eh?”

Xavier had sat down at the open seat. He'd noticed the couple and had blushed red, looking away. He accepted the glass from Aaron and took a sip. He didn't drink fast, never had and probably never will. He enjoyed the taste over how many he can down before he gets wasted. "Yes I saw them" He said with a laugh. What he didn't say was that he wondered what Aaron's lips would be like if he kissed him. Shaking his head, he took another sip from his drink. "Yea, he was" He finished his words with a laugh.

Aaron the felt the foam on his nose and wiped it away with a napkin. He wondered what it would be like to kiss a guy- and it just any guy- Xavier. He found himself staring at those soft lips of his, wondering what it would feel like to press his own lips against Xavier’s. He went silent for a while as he quickly downed his first butterbeer. He finished his drink and went up for another one.

Xavier had been staring at his drink for a minute after having caught himself looking at Aaron's lips. He too a large swig and sighed. As Xavier watched Aaron finish one and head up to get another. He'd have to carry him back to the castle if he keeps this up. Xavier smiled as he worked on his mug, it was about half way.

As the day went on Aaron drank more and more glasses of butterbeer. He was on about his fifth one and he was starting to feel the effects. He had scooted closer to Xavier and had an arm wrapped around the boy’s shoulders. This fifth glass was almost finished and Aaron proudly raised it high up in the air. “Oi! I’ve got a date to the Yule Ball!” Aaron announced loudly to no one in particular, swaying from side to side and smiling blissfully. “I’ve got myself a cute boyfriend!” he said, hiccuping and giggling to himself. “He’s got these cute little bangs and everything! I love him so much!” he continued on as if the whole pub were listening to him.

Xavier laughed at Aaron's antics, though he could feel the redness in his face. "Alright there lover boy, you're shut down after that glass" Xavier said with a grin. He didn't mind the arm wrapped over his shoulders but he wasn't a fan of other people knowing his business. He drained his third glass and slid the glass away, he wasn't drunk but he did have a nice buzz. He probably had a permanent blush on his cheeks. "Let's get back to castle Aaron" He said with a smile. He wasn't nearly done celebrating but they could do it alone together just as easily, the only difference is that there was no butter beer in the castle.

“Aww, you’re no fun!” Aaron moaned, but still smiling through it all as he finished the last drops that were left in the glass. He of course in his state didn’t notice that his loud drunken rambles were making Xavier uncomfortable. He was just so happy and proud to finally have a date to the Yule Ball and perhaps, a boyfriend in his favorite person in the world- Xavier. Aaron hiccuped as he took his arm off of Xavier. “Oi Xaie! Help your handsome husband out!” he said with a giggle, wanting help up and out of the booth.

Xavier rolled his eyes at Aaron but smiled anyway. “I know, that’s my job” He said. Xavier took Aaron’s hand in his blushing at the husband piece. “Come on you.” He laughed, leading the drunk Gryffindor out of the pub and back towards the castle. He knew when it came to drinking, he’d be the voice of reason. That was what he did best.

Aaron always got a little carried away when it came to butterbeer. And of course, once he started drinking, silly things came out of his mouth, such as the bold husband comment. He smiled through it all though, drunkenly so, as Xavier led him out of the pub. A few people watched on but mostly found it amusing. Anyone could see that the Gryffindor boy was happy and pure. Aaron wrapped an arm around Xavier’s shoulders, this time for support as they walked back to the castle.

December 25th 1994. Yule Ball. It had been a month since Xavier had asked Aaron to the ball. It had also been a month of him struggling to find the right outfit. He had even sent for help from his parents. Ryan stood in front of him adjusting the golden and black tie. His suit was a crisp black and he had a Hufflepuff designed tie with black dress shoes. He left his hair normal because he knew Aaron liked it. “It will all be fine” Ryan tried to assure him. He was nervous but he was as ready as he’d ever be.

Xavier had a small red and golden flower in his hand. The boy made his way out of the common room and towards the Great Hall. The tables had been pushed to the side to create a large dancing floor. Xavier nervously looked around for Aaron. They said they’d meet each other at the entrance to the Great Hall.

Finally the much anticipated day had arrived- it was December 25th, 1994. Today wasn’t just any Christmas. For the fourth years, it meant that today was the annual Yule Ball at Hogwarts. Of course, as of a few weeks ago, Aaron wouldn’t be going to the Ball alone. His closest companion had asked him out as a date to the Yule Ball and Aaron said yes in a heart beat. Now Aaron found himself getting set for the dance in his dorm room, alone. He debated whether or not he should spruce himself up and make his hair look nice and ultimately decided that tonight was a very special occasion. So, Aaron ended up combing his messy hair so that it was more tame. The light brown locks still had a slight wave to them which he had developed as he got older.

Aaron spent at least a good hour in the bathroom in front of the mirror making sure he looked his best. Anything less for Xavier would be seen as a failure in his view. After freshening his breath and tightening his crimson tie, he was ready. Aaron wore a smooth and nicely tailored deep red suit. There was a small marigold flower pinned to the lapel in honor of Hufflepuff, which obviously, was for Xavier and his house. Aaron took one last glance at himself in the mirror and figured he looked handsome enough. “Ok Aaron, show time,” he whispered to himself.

As he stepped out of the bathroom he couldn’t help but glance at the empty bed on the left side of the room. It tugged at his heart. Jacob should’ve been there with him, preparing for the Yule Ball as well. He thought of how dashing the boy would’ve looked in a suit. He hoped that Jacob Cromwell was somewhere looking down upon him and smiling. After taking several deep breaths, he steeled himself and exited his room, heading to the Great Hall where the Yule Ball would be held. Aaron’s nerves were running wild and he felt the butterflies in his tummy as he reached the entrance of the Great Hall. He took one last deep breath before heading inside.

Xavier had been looking around, his eyes searching. He still couldn't believe that Aaron had said yes when he'd asked him to be his date to the Yule Ball. Suddenly, it was all Xavier could think about. The boy was nervous, of course, he'd never been to any kind of dance in his young life. As his eyes searched, they stopped on him. He wore a deep red suit with a crimson tie. The marigold he saw set on his lapel made the teen smile. He had combed his hair, but there was still that wave to it that he found attractive. Overall Aaron looked very handsome in his suit. Xavier made his way over, the red and gold flower had been put into place on his own lapel when he'd gotten there. Xaie made his way over to his date, that felt awesome to him. "Hey Aaron, you look very handsome." Xavier said as he walked up to him. He adjusted his bangs real quick, albeit a little nervously.

Aaron could feel his heart pounding loudly inside of his rib cage, threatening to burst through his chest. All he wanted was to impress and satisfy Xavier. He deserved the world, and damn it, Aaron was determined to give it to him in any way he could. The Gryffindor boy’s heart stopped for a brief moment as he heard Xavier’s voice as the Hufflepuff approached him, and he caught sight of his date for the first time that night. Aaron’s hazel eyes widened and his mouth hung open slightly as he saw Xavier. The boy looked stunning despite not doing much to change his appearance. His hair was neat but as it normally was, yet this was extremely attractive to Aaron. The suit he wore made him look handsome and the red and gold flower on the lapel made the boy smile.

“Blimey,” whispered Aaron as he looked at his best friend and now, date to the dance. “You look dashing mate,” he said softly to Xavier as he gently took his hands in his own soft ones. Xavier’s skin was always smooth to the touch, with Aaron quite liked. Aaron had never truly been to a ballroom dance before. Sure he’d been to a cheesy little dance back in his muggle elementary school, but this was nothing. Aaron remembered having gone with some girl in his class. She was pretty, but Aaron was uninterested. Now he had this handsome boy Xavier before him, and he wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Xavier's own heart had started fluttering when Aaron took his hands. "Thanks" He said with a small grin and a blush. Aaron's hands were just as soft as he always remembered them to be. Xaie couldn't believe how lucky he was to have this with Aaron. He'd never have imagined that it could happen, especially not to him. As he stood there, his chocolate brown eyes looking at Aaron, there was no place he'd rather be. Xavier smiled at his best friend and date, before he gently led them towards the dance floor. "May I have this dance?" He asked as he slowly led them towards the dance floor. He might not have been to dances, but he's seen his parents have small dances in the living room and they'd played along when younger Xaie had tried to copy them several times.

Aaron’s heart continued to pound and it felt so loud that he was worried Xavier could hear it. It not only beat nervously but beat passionately with love for Xavier. For a moment, Aaron stared into the deep chocolate brown eyes of the Hufflepuff, his own two hazel ones peering back at Xavier. He felt himself be slowly guided to the dance floor and followed Xavier. There were already a few couples dancing at a near snail’s pace to the quiet music that was playing in the background. Aaron’s heart fluttered as he heard Xavier ask him for this dance. Of course he should’ve expected this- it was the bloody Yule Ball for crying out loud and that’s what you did- dance! But still, the words left Aaron stunned.

“I’d be honored, Xavier,” he replied in a soft whisper back to the boy, a tenderness to his quiet voice. Nerves then began to set in, and a different kind of nerves. Aaron had never truly been to a ball like this before and had also never danced before. He didn’t know how. It wasn’t something he was ever interested in or taught, nor something he was exposed to at all in the past. Fears about embarrassing himself began to settle in and worse- thoughts about potentially letting his date Xavier down. He gave Xavier a nervous and uncomfortable smile as they stepped onto the dance floor. He did not move, for he did not know how to start a dance. He hoped Xavier would be the one to initiate it.

Xavier could sense that Aaron was uncomfortable and nervous as they'd made it onto the dance floor. Xavier gently moved Aaron's hands so they rested on Xaie's shoulders. He put his hands around Aaron's lower back, and smiled at him gently. "Just follow my lead." Xavier said, he began to sway side to side, his feet began moving, leading the pair into a slow dance. Under his breath, gently just for Aaron, he spoke how he was dancing. "One foot left, feet together, left again feet together and then to the right same way" His voice was quiet so no one else could hear it. It was just for Aaron to help him. Xavier looked up at his date as they moved left and right gently, swaying to the beat. He couldn't tear his eyes away from Aaron's, those hazel eyes had captured him from day one. "You're doing great" He told Aaron, bringing his head closer to press his forehead against Aaron's, hopefully this should help the boy relax, hopefully.

Aaron swallowed and blushed, feeling his heart flutter as Xavier tenderly moved his hands so that they were on his shoulders. He forced a small yet unsure smile as Xavier placed his hands around the lower part of Aaron’s back. He nodded as Xavier in his calm and always comforting voice told him to follow his lead. With Xavier at the helm leading them, Aaron felt confident- like they could do anything and tackle the world together. Initially, Aaron was a bit awkward at first, struggling to keep pace, but Xavier’s soft and gentle verbal guidance helped him to fall into step. The two locked eyes and Aaron felt that funny feeling at the pit of his stomach again. The fluttering butterflies every time he looked into those chocolate brown eyes. Aaron smiled sheepishly and blushed, a bright rosy pink shade tinting his cheeks, as Xavier complimented him. He felt at peace as Xavier touched his smooth forehead against his own. They were so close to each other in that moment, and Aaron honestly hoped it would never end.

As the pair moved along, Xavier was in a state of contented peace. He looked down at Aaron from where their foreheads connected and saw the pink tint. Then his gaze flicked to Aaron's lips, they were so close to each other. His heart began pounding, the love he had for Aaron mixed with the nervousness of messing up, wasn't helping. The music slowed to a stop before a similar song replaced it. Xavier felt on top of the world with Aaron in his arms, them dancing gently, slowly. Xavier took a few deep breaths as he looked at the boy in front of him. Xavier slowed them to a stop as the song was winding down. Xaie moved his head away from their connection, taking one hand from behind Aaron's back and brought it up to gently cup Aaron's chin, bringing his head up to look at Xaie. His heart was still pounding, but as his eyes flicked from Aaron's hazel eyes then to his lips, the decision was made. "Thank you" Those two words didn't just mean tonight, but for being there for him, for being an amazing best friend, and for just being himself. As the song ended, Xavier leaned forward and pressed his lips to Aaron's gently.

Aaron was calm and content as he slow danced with Xavier. Having the Hufflepuff boy in his arms, he felt happy and at a true state of peacefulness. His heart still pounded yet he felt relaxed as the quiet and slow paced song in the background changed to another. Aaron couldn’t tell the difference- it sounded exactly the same as the other song. But his focus was not on the music, it was entirely on Xavier. It was on Xavier and those beautiful chocolate brown eyes, and his cute little bangs he had grown out now more than ever this year. He didn’t know how but everything about Xavier Collins was absolutely perfection.

As the song came to a close, Aaron could hear Xavier quietly whisper a thanks to him. He didn’t have any time to think or process what it meant as what happened next happened so suddenly, taking Aaron’s breath and words away entirely. The song ended and Aaron widened his hazel eyes as he felt Xavier’s lips press against his. The initial shock of the kiss didn’t last long though as Aaron loosened his shoulders and sunk into it. Xavier’s lips were as tender and soft as he had thought they would be. The Gryffindor boy closed his eyes and gently raised one of his hands and placed it on the back of Xavier’s head as they remained locked in a gentle yet passionate kiss.

Xavier felt his heart soar as Aaron gave back to the kiss. His lips were soft and Xavier felt like he'd reached cloud nine. He felt Aaron move one of his hands to the back of Xavier's head. After what felt like forever and releasing all the passion he'd given in the kiss, Xavier had to break away for a moment to breathe. "Bloody hell" He whispered, his head falling forward to press against Aaron. He had a red blushed face as he caught his breath. "That was amazing" He added. He had imagined kissing Aaron for a while now, but the real life experience outshone the expectations his head had come up with. He had felt Aaron give back which made him even happier. Perhaps they were destined to be partners beyond this dance. Xavier stood still, his mind was quiet, but his heart felt like it could burst from his chest.

Aaron probably would’ve stayed locked in that kiss forever if he didn’t need to come up for air. Xavier broke the kiss first, needing to breathe. Aaron took a deep breath and regained his composure. His heart was racing as he looked at Xavier. A shy smile tugged at his lips and he couldn’t help but laugh at Xavier’s reaction to the kiss. “Amazing yes, I wouldn’t expect anything less from you,” he said tenderly, looking at Xavier with passion glimmering in his hazel eyes. A bright red blush was visible on Aaron’s face as he continued to hold onto Xavier after their kiss. Xavier’s lips were as soft as he had imagined in his many embarrassing day dreams this year. As for what this meant for the two best friends, Aaron didn’t know, but a part of him hoped that perhaps going forward, they would be something more than just friends. Aaron couldn’t deny his romantic attractions to Xavier. “I think that was the best moment of my fourteen years of life,” whispered Aaron with a slight chuckle.

Xavier lifted his head to look at Aaron. He felt a smile on his own face as he heard the boys laugh. "You were pretty great yourself" He said blushing. He could see the passion in Aaron's beautiful hazel eyes. How this teen before him was so perfect, Xavier would never know. He held tight onto Aaron as they stood there. Xavier had made another decision standing here, holding Aaron to him. He wasn't going to be able to return to just being best friends, especially not after that kiss. "I definitely have to agree with that one" He said softly. Xavier felt a shy smile cross his face as he saw the blush on his face. Xavier blushed himself as his eyes locked on Aaron's again. "Um, Aaron. I was uh..." Xaie paused, trying to collect his thoughts. "I was wondering if you'd maybe want to be my.. boyfriend?" His voice was soft and shy. His eyes were hyper focused on Aaron's, the chocolate brown depths held passion and love in them as he waited anxiously. He couldn't not ask, especially now. He couldn't imagine anyone else being to him what he wanted Aaron to be.

Aaron blushed and looked away for a brief moment as Xavier had said he was pretty good himself. He’d never kissed someone before- not even a girl in some silly elementary school relationship. This was truly his first kiss, and it was even better than Aaron could’ve possibly imagined. Aaron smiled softly as he looked back into Xavier’s brown eyes. The pair of hazel ones on the Gryffindor boy widened as Xavier asked him a very special question. Aaron’s heart threatened to flutter up out of his chest, into his throat, and through his mouth. Their eyes remained locked and Aaron had a gleam of true passion and love for Xavier in his hazel orbs. Xavier Collins wanted HIM to be his boyfriend. It didn’t take very long for Aaron to come to a decision. “Xavier, that would make me the happiest boy in the whole entire world,” he said tenderly. “Yes Xavier Collins- I do want to be your boyfriend. I want to be yours forever and ever,” he told the Hufflepuff. He was on top of the world now as happy as ever. He finally had a boyfriend and it was the best person he could ever ask for to be his romantic partner. Aaron laughed and smiled as he pulled Xavier in for a quick but tight hug.

Xavier had been anxiously waiting for Aaron to say something. He saw the boy's beautiful hazel eyes widen and Xavier couldn't help the nervous swallow. In the lower light of the Yule Ball's atmosphere, Aaron looked even more handsome. Xavier's eyes, full of love, locked onto Aaron's hazel ones. He felt his own heart pound and his stomach felt like it was full of butterflies when Aaron said he'd be the happiest boy in the world and then he felt a wide grin as he heard the boy say yes. He wanted to be Xaie's forever and ever? Xavier felt the same way. He laughed as Aaron pulled him in for a quick, tight hug. He looked at the teen in front of him, his boyfriend, and felt a wide smile across his face. "Aaron Hoskins, you have no idea how happy you make me" He said, taking the others hand in his. He looked at the Gryffindor boy with the happiest grin on his face. Aaron was his boyfriend now and that had sent his heart rate through the roof. Xavier then leaned forward, his arms going around the boys neck. "I feel like the luckiest teen in the world right now" He said before he couldn't help himself and kissed Aaron again happily.

Aaron couldn’t help but let out a joyous laugh as he smiled through his blushing red cheeks as Xavier’s arms went around his neck. Aaron had to wonder how he had gotten so lucky, but of course, he was certainly not complaining. He closed his eyes as Xavier stole a kiss. Aaron sunk into it, not minding this at all. He was certainly going to be able to easily get used to this. The Yule Ball and just the past few months in general were a huge success, even if the Gryffindor Quidditch team was having a bit of an off year after their championship win. Quidditch didn’t matter right now- Xavier was his main priority, Aaron would take Xavier being his boyfriend over winning Quidditch matches any day.
