Fantasy The Underground

"Good." He smiled warmly. "Hopefully whatever it is you need to do will help ya heal. As for me? I'm just gonna lie here and sleep...now that I finally can." He let out a heavy sigh and slumped back completely into the chair he was in. It hardly took any time at all for him to fall asleep after he closed his eyes. He was exhausted after all of that! Good thing it was finally over with...

@Aridis ((Possibly @rosamortelle @zCrookedz @Beowulf ))

"Vytas! Stop!" As his voice became more demanding his pupils narrowed into slits. He was no longer paying attention to the crowd around them or where they were going. He was determined to catch up with his little brother. Although he had no clue what he would do next. Scold him? Act as an chaperon for wherever he thought he was headed? He would have to figure that one out soon.

@Aridis @Hoki

"Slán agat human." She replied with a sweet smile. Waving as she watched him disappear once more. "So Gareth. What are your plans now that that is all settled. Do you have anything, or would it be possible to give me a tour of the kingdom?"

@Beowulf @zCrookedz

(Putting off on Atlas for now just in case other peoples wanna try something. --sorry Sisceal--)

Of course he wouldn't be able to make it out. Buras, he could've easily slipped away from if he really wanted to risk an extremely boring lecture and a week or two of continuous supervision; it would just take the transformation into a mouse or a small lizard in order to do the trick. Maybe even a bit of hitchhiking on some random pedestrian's back.

He had never come this close to getting to the outside world before. This time around, Vytas had a willing chaperone and an actual plan to slip past the guards at the cave-like entrance. It had been simple, sure. But sometimes the simplest things are the most effective; there was no need to get overly complicated about it. However, apparently fate, or whatever divine being was out there controlling everything, didn't want him to fulfill that wish just yet. Because of all people, his shy elder brother had come to stop him right in his tracks.

And it sucked.

As much as the younger wanted to hate Austere for it, there was no way that he could when it came to his sibling. So, despite his own desire to experience something new, Vytas didn't move an inch. He just waited for whatever the elder would do upon catching up to them. "Sorry, Shion..." The raven had dragged him into this mess, and was feeling a bit guilty about it at this point

@Hoki @Axel1313 @Beowulf

He gave a small sigh, raising his shoulders in a light shrug. Shion looked towards the fast approaching other with a rather peaceful expression. "It's fine.." the demon stated simply, "There's no helping it, is there?"

The way the Prince responded to the shouts of the other was all the proof he needed; they were close one way or another, and Vytas held a respect for them. It was a respect this accidental accomplice would have to deal with.

Shion's head lowered a bit to examine the coin in his now loose grip, playing with it in between his fingers. "You know.." he started with randomly, "Well, there's always a next time, right? Somehow.."

Frankly, he didn't believe the possibilities all too much himself; especially not when taking Austere's fairly angered calls and sharp commands into consideration. This would be it, it seemed.

Oh well... Maybe he would get a souvenir for Vytas from the surface works.

Er... If he made it out of this with only a lecture and not a life sentence for trying to "abduct" a Prince- whom he didn't know was a prince, so maybe he could get naivety points?

@Aridis @Axel1313 @Beowulf

Austere let out a heavy sigh and slowed his pace down as he caught up with the two. "Guh...finally." He looked down at him with a slight smile, before reeling back and socking him in the shoulder. Not really his preferred method, but he was thoroughly annoyed. "What do you think you're doing? Why didn't you stop when I called your name?" His hands went to his hips as he looked at him with a slight frown. He could never really be angry at his little brother. It just wasn't in his nature.

"The last thing I wanted to do was lecture you...well...maybe the usual do not leave the castle without some guard, but you are old enough now you should know better!" He huffed. Puffing out his cheeks in annoyance. "I really don't care if you wish to see the world, but please, for the love of the Gods at least take some guard with you. The last thing we need to do is make father worry more."

@Aridis @Hoki @Beowulf

Penelope held her head in her hand. "Ele sunt atât de inutile. Aș vrea să fii aici Finnick. Întotdeauna ai știut ce să facă și când să o facă. (They are so useless. I wish you were here Finnick. You always knew what to do and when to do it.)" Penelope brushed her fingers through her hair before looking back at Connor and Black. She caught her fake eye without looking at it's direction and cleaned it off before comfortably adjusting it back into her eye socket. After listening to both of their responses, Penelope was even more pissed at Connor then she had been when she first got a good look of him. Moving to stand infront of Connor, Penelope gave him a forceful kick to the jaw just powerful enough to bruise him but not break the bone. "If I ever hear a answer like that come from your mouth again, you'll get more than just a bruising from me," She suddenly reached down and grabbed Connor's face pressing roughly against the freshly bruised area "In fact if you give me a response like that again, I take away your rights to take from the artillery." Penelope let go of connor and turned to Black. "Your right we do need to find them, but that does not mean your off the hook either. If your Connor's babysitter then you automatically take responsibility as well."

@zCrookedz @Beowulf

Black watched with a raised eyebrow as Penelope began to speak. Though he had learn a few words in different languages to tell him where the bathroom was or where he could buy booze and smoke, this one was new to him. He did however pick up on a name in what he assumed was an insult to Black and Connor for the mess up.

But before he could question who she was referring to, she lunged for Connor which made Black jump up from the couch, draw his snub nose from its holster and watch to make sure she didn't lunge for him next. He kept the gun in his hand at the ready while he watched her punish Connor and when she turned to him his hand tightened ever so slightly on the gun.

"Hey, I never asked to be in charge of him. If you've got a problem with me letting Connor do his thing, take it up with Ronaldson. Old bastard is the one who put me in charge of him."

Black kept his eyes focused on Vasile, flexing his fingers on his pistol. Ever since returning from war he never liked surprise movement, and her lunge for Connor had set off his defensive mode.

@rosamortelle @Beowulf

"Can I help you?" Connor asked before a foot came out of nowhere, sending him sprawling along the floor. What just happened? Did she just kick him? She did, oh she would regret that. But not now, he had to make it look like an accident. And, right now, he had to act like he didn't want to severely hurt her. "Oh, I'd like that." he said, a mischievous twinkle in his eye as she said that next time she'd do more then bruising, getting a quick comment in before she said he wouldn't be allowed into the armory. Yes, she needed to go. An artist could not work if you did not give him his tools.

((@zCrookedz @rosamortelle))

"Take it up to Ronaldson? Oh I would love to do that except for the fact that Ronaldson is dead!" Penelope practically screamed her last sentence hands locked into tight fists. A menacing glare shown on her face, the first kind of emotion she had shown since she was nineteen. Her whole body was shaking with irritation and for a split second everything was silent. It was then Penelope realized how she must look to the others and with a dep breath her body relaxed, returning to its robotic calmness. Penelope left the room for a while and went to her kitchen grabbing the medical kit she kept stored under the sink before re-entering her living room. "Look, I'm sorry for overreacting. It's been a pretty rough evening." Penelope took an instant ice pack out of the medical kit. "Here Connor use this, just crush it in your hand and shake it so it'll get cold. Oh and Black you can put the gun down I'm not going to attack again. Well atleast not either of you."

@zCrookedz @Beowulf

Glancing up to Shion for a moment, he offered the other a somewhat defeated smile. "Yeah, definitely." If there even was a next time. Austere was pretty okay when it came to these kinds of things. However, Vytas never really knew when his next chance would show up. He had gotten lucky when Buras got distracted by an --apparently-- important guest, and had sped off without making sure that the young Prince was actually following him back to the castle. But, after this stunt--even though it definitely wasn't the first time that Vytas had done such a thing-- the raven wasn't certain of when he would be able to slip away again. Out of the castle? Definitely. Away from the literal giant? Debatable and time-consuming.

And then came the pain.

It wasn't too bad. It wasn't like his elder brother had put all of his strength into the punch. However, it did sting a little bit upon impact; and there was a very dull pain that would remain for a minute or two. But, it did surprise the raven. He did deserve it, but it still surprised him.

Upon hearing the minor speech that Austere had given him, the younger could only pout a bit. Yes, such an expression was a bit odd for a kid his age. However, it was oddly fitting for how he currently felt. Besides, he was hundreds of years behind his elder sibling. Compared to him, Vytas was a literal baby. "But, the last time I tried that, I wasn't allowed to take a step even out into the garden for a week! Only like two of the guards let me go outside of the gates; and even then they're really skeptical about it. How am I supposed to convince someone to take me out there?!" He protested.

@Hoki @Axel1313

"You're not supposed to at all." He crossed his arms over his chest. "You know how their world is anymore. It's not safe...They're...they're..." There was a brief flash of pain in his eyes. Making him physically wince as the memory struck him again. "The guards will take you as far as the entrance, but nothing more...You know this already so I should not have to repeat it."

He sighed heavily again. "I....I'm not going to be around forever to save your skin or keep you from trouble like this you know? I have my own obligations and engagement to worry about soon... You're going to have to grow up and stop giving father headaches! You know that's the last time the old man needs...he'd probably throw out his back trying to chase you." A slight smile began to appear on his face. He just couldn't be mean. No matter what he tried.

@Aridis

Black stood there watching for any signs of a joke or some rouse about Ronaldson. He had only met the man once, when he first arrived back from the war Ronaldson had been there personally to offer his invitation into The Order. In truth, he was one of the only reasons he had joined up in the first place. The man new how to use words to his advantage.

But now he was gone, and a million different questions began to fly through Black's head. One such question was weather or not The Order was still operating with its head figure dead. But Black quickly pushed that question aside. He assumed had The Order been given the order to dismantle, they would all be dead now.

He finally snapped out of his own thoughts when he heard Vasile mention his name again. He looked up and his shoulders relaxed a bit as he slid the gun back into its holster. Finally after a long bout of silence Black shot Vasile a sideways look of uncertainty.

"They asked you to be in charge, didn't they? That's what that phone call was about, why your so on edge. Your the new head of the order."

@rosamortelle

'Don't remind me.' The moment that Austere mentioned that he wasn't going to be around for the rest of eternity, those were the words that the raven desperately wanted to say. Things were boring enough without his older sibling. And, while Austere wasn't exactly the most excitable person in the world, unlike Vytas, he was pretty fun to just plain be around. There was a sense of calm whenever he was around his brother. And the young Prince knew that he would miss it terribly when it finally disappeared.

So, instead of allowing that little outburst to become a verbal thing, he tried to stay on the topic of the Outside world. Arguing against Austere wasn't going to change anything. After all, it would be the guards' decision of whether or not the raven would be able to leave the Underground, not necessarily his. But, it was the only topic that Vytas could think about. "Yeah, I don't know what it's like. Everything I know came from someone else's point of view. And it sucks, because I don't know what's real and what they just made up. But even if it's just for an hour, I wanna see what it's like for myself, if I can.

"And as for dad... he has a few good centuries left. He'll be fine."

@Hoki @Axel1313

"I told you there is a good reason for that." Austere's expression hardened and he bit his lip. Letting out a small puff of smoke from the corners of his mouth and from his nose. This was eating him up inside...His fears and anxieties...and care for his baby brother. He hated when he did this, but...he wasn't going to be there to stop him all of the time. Maybe...just maybe his curiosities could be quelled. "One hour Vytas. Would you be fine with that? Would that at least stop you from running of like this for quite some time? T....to see things for yourself up there?"

@Aridis

"DEAL!" Even if it wasn't anything like he had been expecting, it was still worth it. Sure, he would probably die of boredom trying to keep his promise. But for such a big thing, it was a rather small price to pay in comparison. Even though that had been more or less the same deal that he had made with Shion, at least now the demon wouldn't have to get in trouble for taking him to such a place. So, it was a win for everyone... Kinda.

Vytas was too excited to think things all the way through. As long as he got to go outside, then that was easily enough for him. A wide smile split his expression, and his caramel eyes sparkled with a joy that could only be acquired by a child.

@Hoki @Axel1313

He let out another heavy sigh and tapped his foot nervously. "Only ONE hour. And then that's it." He reminded him sternly. "Buras...i...if we're not back in exactly an hour. Come looking for us or send somebody for us...okay?" He gulped as he looked back at the giant. He couldn't just let his brother go alone...or with somebody that he didn't know.

"Come on Vtyas...I...I'll watch you up there..." It went against every fiber of his being, but he had to. He had to make sure his brother came back safe and sound.

@Aridis @Hoki @Beowulf

He had no place here now.. He had no reason to be here anymore; just by standing conveniently off to the side, going fairly unnoticed by either party, Shion had pieced enough together just through context. Well, at least he now knew the relation between the two, and did agree that Vytas could've been better off with someone like family.

However, his own longing for the Outside - which had always been kept down low since returning to the Underground - were just as close to his present thought as anything else.

The male with soft red hair stowed the coin away, back into his pocket before lifting his head and extending a friendly and equally polite hand out to Austere. "Er..." he started with awkwardly, a sheepish smile on his lips, "I know I should probably leave both of you alone, but I'm still set on going out myself; My name's Shion, nice to meet you."

He was always bad with introductions; especially when he had no reason to linger around the two.

@Axel1313 @Aridis @Beowulf

Sisceal was woken up again by the sounds of laughter and fluttering around his head. Several little forest fae buzzed around him. Perched on his cheeks and ears, braiding a few long pieces of his hair together. It was....familiar feeling, but he couldn't exactly pinpoint why.. And didn't really like these things buzzing around his face either.

"Shoo! Shoo! Go way ye little pests!" He grumbled. Trying to wave them away but to no avail. He probably should have been kinder as well, but with a massive hangover making it feel like somebody was taking a jackhammer to his head, he wasn't really up to such nonsense.

It was a bit of a stupid request. After all, he had just met the demon; it wasn't like Vytas really had any legitimate attachment toward the other at this point. However, Shion did agree to take him out of the Underground. Even though the whole responsibility had been passed onto his older brother, the Prince didn't want anyone to get left out. Besides, the redhead had more experience up there than the two beings of royalty. Even a small bit of knowledge would help out a ton.

"Shion, you should come with us! We can all go up there together!" It wasn't like the demon was going to just stay down here just because Vytas never bothered to ask. However, the request just kinda slipped out.

@Hoki @Axel1313 @Beowulf

Okay so. He hadn't been able to sleep. At all.

Upon returning from the whole "feeding" thing, Atlas had noticed that his new acquaintance had fallen asleep. He had tried to do the same, but only managed to slip in maybe an hour or two overall. It wasn't just the fact that he was still in the hospital. There were probably a number of reasons as to why this was so. One of them probably being that he was still paranoid about the Order. So, in a desperate attempt to entertain himself, he had gone for a bit of a long walk around the building.

He wasn't gone forever. The Wraith had returned maybe a minute or two before Sisceal had woken up; only to find a bunch of miniature fae flitting about the other's head. Atlas really didn't see any harm in it, and was actually pretty amused about how the Priest had reacted when he became conscious again. There was a little bit of guilt, seeing as though the guy had been a bit tipsy just a few hours prior. But, it was still a bit of a funny sight. "Welcome back to the Land of the Living~."

The door to the back room of Lafluer's flew open as a rush of dark purple smoke rushed from the room behind it shaking the shop. After a series of coughing and hacking from inside of the room, Lucas stepped from the smoking room gripping the door frame and continued to cough up a lung. Between coughs, a cackle could be heard coming from behind Lucas along with the thick Cajun accent.

"I tol ya boyo, dat waz too much. But naaaaaa, ya gots ta do et da 'ard way."

Lucas looked back into the room with a cross look and reached for the skull unseen. Only seconds later did Jimbo's small head come flying from the back room into the main shop floor. The head bounced off a shelf and landed on the desk starring back at Lucas.

"Ya na, I may be dead. But dat don' mean dat di'n 'urt. Feet pua tan.."(son of a bitch...)

Lucas stepped back out of the room and closed the door and turned back to the desk. He set a small vial full of black liquid down on the table and fell into the chair behind it. He had been working all through the night to try and put the finishing touches on the poultice he would need for Gareth and the Draconite extraction. After a sleepless night, he now starred at the end result with an accomplished expression. He ran his long fingers threw his hair brushing them out of his eyes and craned his neck back with a sigh as he closed them.

"Première étape, complète. Once we get the Draconite it will only be a matter of time before we will have the power."

Jimbos small head shifted slightly, his usually empty eye sockets now glowed ever so slightly blue.

"Ya gonna be ready for dat Boyo? Once ya start, ya not be commin back till its done."

Lucas' eye opened slowly as he leaned his head back forward and looked at Jimbo.

"I've been ready fro years Jim."

@Axel1313 @Beowulf

"Yes, you should...I haven't been...up there in centuries now." He gulped nervously. Pulling the good of his cloak over his head more. "Which means you will most likely know it better. I will make sure you are paid for your troubles of course. So there is no nonsense." His chocolate brown eyes flashed a brilliant shade of amber for a moment. A sort of warning from him. He may be timid, but he was no fool. And was highly protective.

@Aridis @Hoki @Beowulf

"Mmmrph. I kind of wish I wouldn't have rejoined it too soon." He joked. Rubbing his eyes and sitting up in his chair. The little fairies around him giggled and rest themselves on his shoulders and in his hair. They had managed to braid little flowers into it as well. "How did you sleep? Or did ya get any at all? This place isn't the most comfortable..."

@Aridis

Penelope opened her eye lids slowly, the sun blinding her eye. She felt a bumpy wet surface under her face. Groggily lifting her head up Penelope look down at a drool smeared keyboard. When she looked up at the screen she was greeted by a completion sign flashing at her. Gazing at the light for a few minutes, Penelope eventually remembered the events last night. After all the commotion from last night Penelope, Black, and Connor had finally found common ground after a lot of explanations and Penelope reassuring she wouldn't keep Connor away from his 'play things'.

With tension low, Penelope had been able to bring up the tracker she had slipped onto Sisceal. At the same time she still had to go through the promotion process so she said the guys could rest and she'd stay up to watch the tracker. Penelope knew now she had completed the transition but must have fallen asleep as she had no clue where the tablet with the tracker's app had gone. Standing up from her chair Penelope cracked her back before moving to the bathroom. She looked at herself in the mirror and sighed. Her fake eye was missing again and an imprint of half the keyboard shined brightly on her cheek. Wiping her face clean and tying an eyepatch around her head Penelope wrapped a floor length robe around herself before going into the kitchen and brewing some coffee. She knew the boys must be in the apartment somewhere so Penelope didn't see harm in relaxing a moment before finding them.

@zCrookedz @Beowulf

The night had been a pretty quiet one. After the commotion of Penelope rejoining the group and explaining the situation Black was able to relax a little bit and take a breather. After Penelope had bid them good night, Black began going through his bag and pulled out the com-links he had and gave one to Connor. He placed the other on the counter and told Connor he would be back after he got some fresh air.

He found the stairs easy enough and made his way to the roof. Black had never been able to figure out why, but after his tour in the field he never felt comfortable in a bed again. He much preferred propping himself up in a corner and drifting in an out of "sleep". That was when he actually fell asleep. Much like all those other nights, Black found a spot on the edge of the building and propped himself up against an AC unit. He took his rifle out and a small cleaning kit having not cleaned the gun after his mission earlier and began to clean it by the light of his cigarettes.

Before he knew it, morning had arrived and Black looked up to see dawn creeping over the city sky line. He figured Penelope would be looking for him after not being inside so he placed the com-link in his ear and sat there finishing his cigarette.

@rosamortelle @Beowulf

And he himself was misunderstood.

Hand falling back to his side - and introduction appearing to go on empty - his eyes widened at Vytas' exclamation, then further at Austere's statement. "Paid?" he repeated, the smallest of frowns forming on his face, "Why would I need- Trouble?"

Shion laughed gently, smiling first at the elder, then the smaller Prince. "Ah, it's no trouble," the demon said to Austere, "Really! And, if you really haven't been up there in so long, then I'm sure the newest things will surprise you."

He wasn't usually one to let his guard down so easily, especially around strangers, but it seemed fairly simple to do so; blame Vytas' small innocence. Plus, it almost...amused him how nervous Austere's scarce actions seemed to be.

The soft redhead turned partially away from the two brothers, gesturing with his hand. "Either way, we should be quick about it right?-" His attention returned to Vytas, almost hoping to get the child's full-blown excitement back; "Only an hour, right? Gotta make it count."

@Aridis @Axel1313 (@Beowulf)

"Nope." Buras interjected, putting a hand on the youngest of the two princes. "I'm afraid that that won't be possible. To dangerous, especially for the next in line to the throne to be going out Above." He was a Royal Guard first, everything else second. "These are members of the Royal Family, they are targets. It would be much better for them to be making their way to the castle. They shouldn't have the left the castle in the first place. And this one," here he gently taps Vytas' shoulder, "didn't return to the castle when I told him to. His father will want to hear about that, and he will no doubt be punished for it. It simply isn't safe for the Royal family to be out and about."

((@Hoki @Axel1313 @Aridis))

Gareth paced back and forth in his sitting room. Today was the day, the day that his gem was removed. He had heard that the Eastern Dragons practiced this often, but he had found the idea to be rather ridiculous. He still thought so himself, but he would do anything to protect the Underground. And the contract ensured that the witch doctor wouldn't do anything to harm him, his family, or the Underground. But the best part was, he had found exactly where his gem was. Three feet in (His head will grow) and 7 inches to the left of the center. That would limit the rummaging around needed, and damage to the brain.

((@zCrookedz and might as well tag @Axel1313))

Connor was sitting with the tablet on his lap, staring intently at the screen. Something was flashing, and there was a map, but he couldn't make head nor tail of it. To him it was just a bunch of pictures. Did he look like the navigator? No, of course not, he was the guy that shot things when told to. But sometimes he just felt like trying, which usually lead to him getting frustrated and reverting back to what he does best. He briefly saw that woman Penelope, he refused to call her commander, walk past, apparently not seeing him. Oh well, he didn't care, she'd notice him sooner or later.

((@rosamortelle @zCrookedz))

"I'm not exactly a fan of surprises demon...." His expression softened. He was starting to realize that this was one of his brother's friends and not some random creature he'd met on the street. Making him loosen up a little bit, but only a little. He then turned to Buras with a slight frown. "It's uh...it's only to be an hour Buras. Nothing more...and I trust that if we are not back by then you can come searching for us or find help?"

@Hoki @Aridis @Beowulf

Wrapped up in a nice, loose midnight blue sweatshirt that hung rather sloppily from his body Marius made his way into a small coffee shop on the corner. His hair was still a tad damp and curly from hopping into the shower before making this trek for caffeine to help cure his massive hangover. At least he wasn't in a foul mood. Just groggy as he approached the counter.

"I'll um...I'll have a nice creamy latte with a load of honey in it please...maybe a couple of shots of espresso too..."
