Fantasy The Underground

Pausing, he tried to remember everything he knew about how the openings worked. The Wraith had found the sanctuary not even two years prior; so it wasn't like he knew every little detail about it. Especially since he spent most of his time spying on the Order, anyways. "They aren't entirely unpredictable." Atlas spoke up. "Close to all of them follow patterns. But, yeah, there are many entrances in many different places. Usually that alone is enough to keep out unwanted visitors..." But, that didn't mean that the openings were completely unguarded. Many fae kept watch over ones near their homes; and then there were the guards inside of the Underground.

@Axel1313

"H-home?" The Prince questioned. Yes, he had actually thought that they would be able to leave right there and then. He stared up at the other with wide, brown eyes. "But, can't we go now?!" Even without the whole 'excitement' factor, Vytas really wanted to leave right at that moment. While it was fairly easy for him to sneak out of the castle at times, it was exceptionally hard to go out two nights in a row. Especially if someone--Buras-- had already spotted him outside of the royal grounds. At best, the boy could sneak out once a week. Unfortunately, that beautiful event has only occurred once in his entire career of temporarily running away.

@Hoki

"Won't your parents worry?" he countered with, rubbing the back of his head, "I know I said I would take you out there, but right now? Are you sure?' Granted, he himself was growing more and more excited about returning to the human society - even for just a moment. Shion had some good memories, and some bad, but he focused more so on the good.

He eventually let out a sigh, offering the raven a soft smile. "I mean.. Sure, I guess. We can go now.."

@Aridis

"Don't worry lad," Buras said as he reached down to gently, I can't stress that enough, pat Austere's shoulder, his hand easily engulfing the oldest prince's shoulder. "Wouldn't make much sense to have royalty walking around without a guard. And I doubt you'd be up to carrying your brother home. That's the only way to make sure he does, apparently." with that, he hefted his halberd and laid it to resting against his shoulder, ready to follow the eldest prince.

(@Axel1313 )

"Perhaps I didn't make myself clear." Gareth said, voice calm. "I said no." He said this with almost deathly calm, making it very clear of what he thought of the matter. He wouldn't let this human, who were the source of their current problem, probe around on his skull with his black magic for a powerful part of any dragon. But still, this was a chance at some breathing room for his Sanctuary, which ot desperatly needed. This inside war was indocated by a small chime, enchanted to make calming noises to try and calm it's wearer. So far, it was just making a racket for him.

Lucas sighed, he didn't know what else he could say to the king to make him understand. He had taken to twirling the totem he had taken out of his pocket in his fingers over and over while he tried to think. The king only wanted best for his people, Lucas knew this and his heritage was possibly one of the things that was hindering his plan at the moment. Lucas couldn't blame the king for that, humans and Fae had always been at each other and probably would always be. Lucas was asking a great deal of trust from a creature who was the sworn enemy of his own race. Finally Lucas's fingers stopped, the totem poised between his ring and middle finger.

"Did you know, that Witch Doctors have to be selected before they are allowed to practice dark magics? Should a human try the dark arts before being selected, they typically are driven mad by demons until they die. We are selected by Gran Boa himself, a magnificent Loa who dwells in the forests of the world. He is the one that all of the other Loa trust to pick out the individuals who are worthy of wielding their strengths."

As Lucas spoke, he reached up and grabbed his hat off the top of his chair. He smoothed his hair back and replaced the hat atop his head, and began to pull at his jacket to straighten it. At the end he leaned against his cane once more and looked back to the king with a smile.

"In a way, the Fae world chooses a human that it believes trust worthy enough to help it. Though, personal trust is much different from that of what the magics at work in this world say. Should you decide that the option I purposed is one we can use, you know where to find me m'lord."

Lucas tipped his hat in a bowing gesture to the king, then turned to the Grand Fairy and smiled while giving her a bit further bow.

"Grand Fairy of the forest, it was an honor to meet you."

Lucas stood up straight with grin, giving the king one last glance as the little chimes continued to sound, before turning back to the entrance he had come through.

@Axel1313 @Beowulf

Garth, for the most part, ignored what Lucas had to say. But one thing did catch his attention. How the Loa chose the human. That he had known, and that he was surprised by. But that is what caused him to make his decision. "Wait." he barked, voice more akin to one you'd expect would come from a dragon then the human form. After a moment of silence, Gareth took a deep breath in, and began to speak. "If what you say is true, then I want a contract, signed in blood," Blood was just traditional. The contract he was proposing could have anything that contains the life essence of the person signing it, blood was just a lot better then the other options. "stating that if what you are doing in some way harms this Sanctuary, the Loa you have created can destroy you. If I don't do it first." That last sentence he added more for himself then anything else. "In return, I will allow you to extract my gem. But I'll be wanting it back once you are done."

(@zCrookedz @Axel1313 )

"Thank you Buras, you are the best guard." He offered a quite shy, yet soft smile as he headed out in search of his brother. Pulling a dark cloak over his head and shoulders to keep his identity somewhat hidden. It was impossible to really hide with a royal guard following him around. "Vytas! Where are you? He called out into the crowd in the language of dragons. He knew that pretty much only his brother would understand it. It was something their father had taught them long ago just for such occasions and for speaking with the dragons of the East if they ever came.

@Beowulf @Aridis

"Ah, I suppose that makes sense...At least that does mean that it will be harder for those crazies to find it...especially since we escaped when we did." He sighed and closed his eyes. The stress from the night full of shock and attacks had really made his age show more. Fine wrinkles under his eyes and near the corners of his mouth. He was really in need of a little rest.

@Aridis

Una sat quietly and listened as they both spoke. She was taking in and processing everything from the conversation. Mainly what the human was speaking of. She had heard of such humans and seen some herself before, but not in a long time. "Are you sure this will work human? It has been a very long time since your kind even attempted such a ritual." He attention turned to Gareth as soon as he spoke up. She was surprised that he would be willing to let go of his Draconite. Normally he was far more stubborn about such things. "Maybe you should grant him access to that one....special part of your library as well Gareth. So he can read up on the matter more and lessen the risk of something terrible happening."

@Beowulf @zCrookedz

And the light returned; along with the adrenaline that had coursed through his veins at the mere thought of finally getting to go. Practically bouncing on the balls of his feet, a large smile once again took over his expression. "Really?! ALRIGHT! Let's--." Vytas' speech was cut short when a voice caught his attention. It took him a moment to make his brain switch to a different language, but he managed to do it in time to hear the repeated message. Even though the words didn't do any physical harm to him, the boy winced anyways.

Pulling the hood of his sweater over his head, he hunched his shoulders a bit. 'Please don't notice me. Not now...' Completely disregarding Shion for a moment, he glanced behind him in the general direction of the voice. His brother was a bit hard to pick out, but Buras definitely wasn't. Panicking a bit, Vytas turned his attention back to the being in front of him. Grabbing the other's sleeve, the Prince began to drag him towards the Underground entrance. "Come on, let's hurry. I wanna see it as soon as possible!" As much as he tried to hide his suspicious behavior...Whoops.

@Hoki @Beowulf @Axel1313

Climbing to his feet, the doctor cracked his neck. "There. You should be alright... More or less." He glanced down at his scaled friend; who had ultimately fallen asleep right next to Altas. It took quite a bit of magic to heal the wounds that the two had sustained. And, because of the dragon's size, she was barely able to manage it. The blonde made a mental note to give her some kind of gift later on. Daniel didn't try to make a habit of doing such things, but he thought that she deserved it this time around.

Sighing softly, the male gently picked up the creature and held her in his arms. "Let me know if any of you need anything before you leave. Oh and.. Atlas... There's a patient at the end of the hall, if you want him." And, after dropping that little bomb, he exited the room.

@Axel1313

Suspicious behavior? What suspicious behavior- Of course he noticed.

Shion's own head turned in direction of the voice, but, unlike Vytas, he had no way of translating and was thrown into a spiral of pure confusion. Shoes scraping against the ground, the demon was dragged along by the Prince, sky eyes wide in surprise. "Wait, wha- Vytas, slow down..!" he tried, "What's the rush; it's not going anywhere." However, he was becoming increasingly aware of the tension in Vytas' voice, whether the younger noticed it or not.

Frowning lightly as he started to walk on his own, his steps bigger than the other's, Shion turned his head to glance back once more, almost as if trying to siphon out some sort of danger - or threat to the boy's adventure - that had Vytas in a minor panic. Finding nothing concerning, he tried to lighten the atmosphere, smiling down at the raven, eyebrows raised in amusement. "Need to hold me hand?" he joked in reference to the iron grip Vytas had on his sleeve.

@Aridis (@Axel1313 @Beowulf)

The moment the kings words left his mouth Lucas stopped. His back turned, his top hat particularly covering his face, the only thing that moved was his smile. It grew ever so slightly towards the sides of his face. Lucas wasn't sure if it was the plan itself, or the empathetic story about trust that finally broke through the kings thick hide. But Lucas was glad that it had.

He stowed the end of his cane in the crook of his arm and spun around on his heels to face the king once more. He listened, and had to give the king credit. the contract in blood was an excellent way to keep Lucas's plan under the kings thumb. He gave the tip of his top hat a bump and smiled to the king.

"Of course my lord."

Lucas grabbed the cane from under neither his arm by the pommel and swung it towards the ground. Where a cane would have been in his hand when it reach back up, a scroll was now which Lucas held out to the king.

"Its blank, all you have to do is speak what you want written and the contract will be made. I'll sign it once your one hundred percent satisfied. Do speak clearly my king. We wouldn't want any more, loop holes."

Lucas looked back to the Grand Fairy who had begun speak of the plan and then something about a library. Lucas was intrigued now.

"Indeed my lady, I have full confidence in this plan. However if the king wishes for me to research something more thoroughly, I would be happy to inspect this library."

Lucas's smile never left his face, either way, his plan would be enacted and he would have what he needed.

Gareth snatched the scroll from the human's hands. Oh, he'd have it air tight and loop hole free. That little jab was a pin prick in comparison to what he had allowed. But a pin prick still hurts. "Lucas Lafleur, if you break this contract, signed in your own blood, you will be sentenced to death and killed immediately." he began, feeling the words appear on the paper. "The conditions of the contract are as follow. You may use my Draconite gem in your ritual, as long as the Loa (Lao?) you creat does not harm me or my family or puts the Underground in danger. If these conditions are broken, the Loa is set free, and ritual is immediately ended along with your immediate death. Once the ritual is complete, you will return the Draconite gem to Gareth Octus Bryne, current king of the Underground. This contract is binding." Finished, he hands the scroll back to Lucas, careful to not say anything more until the scroll left his hands.

But once it was out of his hands, he said in no uncertain terms "I'm already giving him my gem. If I let him into that 13 depository I will either have to kill him or make him the royal mage. Possibly adopt him as part of the roual family. I will do none of those things. However, I will give him a few books from the depository." he said.

(@zCrookedz @Axel1313 )

"Sir." Buras said, pointing Austere in the right direction of the prince, who was tryin his best to hide under his hood. Shame Vytas wore the same jacket a lot, it might have worked otherwise. "Should I go get him?" he asked, leading the way to Vytas at this point.

(@Axel1313 @Hoki @Aridis )

"Patient at the end of the hall if you want him?" Sisceal's eyes cracked open and he turned to look at the boy. "Care to tell me what he means by that? I promise to not be upset either...I know you're not human." He sighed. He was no fool. He knew for quite some time that Alex was some sort of creature from that place, but was simply refusing to truly accept it.

@Aridis

"No no. Let me catch up to him okay? I can move through the crowds a little more...stealthily and easily than you." He pat Buras's forearm as he slipped ahead. "Please keep watch though! If he makes any moves cut him off!" Ducking his head down Austere ducked and weaved through the crowds. Following his brother closely. "Vytas! You know you can't outrun me! You're legs are too short for that."

@Beowulf @Aridis

"As you wish. It is your domain." She replied calmly. She was powerful, but had no rule here. Every choice was up to the king. "I do hope this works for your kingdom though Gareth. It will not only drive the humans back from your citizens, but also serve as a guide to the other leaders. They're territories are beginning to be put in danger as well by encroaching humans. Even my own peaceful little home forest."

@zCrookedz @Beowulf

Lucas watched and listened to the King as he spoke, each word appeared in read ink written on the parchment. The king obviously had his issues with handing this kind of power over to a human, and rightly so. He was making sure there was nothing that Lucas could do to put the underground in any kind of danger. Respectable as any kings duty should be.

The contract stopped scribbling on itself when the king finished speaking and Lucas took the rolled up parchment and unrolled it. He read over the words, nothing was out of place so Lucas began his part.

"I, Lucas Elweard Lefleur, hereby agree to these terms on this document."

The parchment once again began to write out what Lucas was saying. This time however, once it finished with what Lucas had said, a dark read line was drawn on the bottom of the paper. Lucas placed the parchment on the table beside him and placed his thumb up to his mouth. His jaw made a quick motion and he pulled his thumb away as it began to draw blood.

Slowly Lucas wiped his thump across the line in a smooth motion. He lifted his thumb and the blood began to be absorbed into the parchment. The absorbed blood formed the lines of Lucas' signature in full. Lucas smiled and lifted the parchment before the king and the Fairy.

"There you are Lord Gareth. You have my word both vocally and documented."

As Lucas rolled up the parchment and held out the scroll for the King to take, he smiled at the Fairy and gave her a determined look.

"Once the humans see what this power will do to them, they will think twice about entering any of the other Fae areas as well Madame de la Fee. It could be used just as easily in the other kingdoms as well. All we would need is the kings permission."

@Beowulf @Axel1313

"I mean, sure. So we don't get separated and..." His voiced cracked a bit, due to how freaked out he was about the possibility of getting caught. Buras he could easily ignore and just continue on his merry way. He had no reason to listen to that one specific person. However, Austere was a bit of a different case. The boy felt some sort of weird obligation to listen to his older sibling; although he wasn't sure why. Maybe because he was closer the younger? Or maybe because he cared without anyone ordering him too? Whatever the reason, Vytas wanted to get away before his brother said something along the lines of 'stop being an idiot and stop running,' which was an order that the other had yet to say.

And so, he started to speed up a bit. At this point, the only thing that was stopping him from falling into a full-on sprint was the fact that he was holding onto someone. Panic started to settle in his stomach; sending both the butterflies and his heart into a frenzy of movement. "Come on, hurry up!"

@Hoki @Axel1313 @Beowulf

Shrinking into himself a bit, the teenager rubbed the back of his neck. Welp, this was awkward and nerve wracking. Atlas was hungry, but he wasn't to the point of going into a blood frenzy... Which would be extremely bad for anyone around him. Still, it had been his plan to fill up here. He just thought that he could get away with it without Sisceal noticing. But, whoops.

"Well...uh." How to explain that he was a soul sucking freak? How to explain that he was a dangerous weirdo? How to explain in a way that wouldn't completely freak out the Priest? After staying silent for another minute or two, the raven managed to find his voice again. "In a lot of myths, Wraiths are ghosts that show up right before someone is about to die. That's kinda true...although usually when that happens they're the cause of death. They um... feed off of the souls of the dying. Some even use the shadows to catch perfectly healthy people and speed up the process, which is what those Order guys were thinking of. But... many don't, so...." Why was he talking about them like he wasn't even one of them?

@Axel1313

His eyebrow raised, the caution returning to his very core; Vytas was hiding something, and whether or not that something was dangerous, he wouldn't know.

Play along? his brain suggested.

Sure. Play along. Shion's hand would change to hold that of the raven's, giving a light-hearted smile. "Sure, sure!" The smile didn't quite fit his face right, appearing a little forced as he struggled against his internal defenses. As he picked up the pace, his bangs getting caught back, the demon turned his head to look back at the other male - who was so insistent on his trek.

During their sudden run, Shion's free hand dove into his pant pocket and he tossed a dark steel coin upward and ahead, snatching it in his hold only mere moments later. He would keep his ammunition on hand, just in case whoever - hell, whatever it was - that freaked Vytas out so much was dangerous.

How would he be able to know?

@Aridis @Axel1313 (@Beowulf)

"We will have to see how it all goes." She replied sweetly. "Of course we should not make it permanent either or do too much damage. I believe they can change. I've raised a human before and know that no matter what. They always keep this spark of curiosity and believing in the unknown. Even if they never show it." She chuckled and set her cup down to be refilled. "Of course...we will need to find a way to persuade them to peace eventually. They also tend to react quite...violently to things they do not understand that scare them."

@zCrookedz @Beowulf

"Go on." He stared at him patiently. Keeping a calm demeanor as he spoke. "Just spit it out. I'm not gonna get mad, I'm not a complete unchanging stick in the mud fool. I'm sure ya can't help what you do. And that ye certainly can't change who somebody is." He couldn't remember when he'd been taught that exactly, but he did remember that two people had actually told him that. Some old priest who used to care for him and somebody before that too. Maybe his mother? Or a grandparent?

@Aridis

"Vytas!! Don't make me use my magic on you!" Austere spoke in a more authoritative tone. Which was a surprise to hear from him. He rarely used a harsher tone, but when it came to his brother it was necessary at times. Perfect example was this running away nonsense right now. What on earth was going through his head?? He knew better than this! And certainly knew that it was only going to make Austere have to use more drastic means to catch him.

@Aridis @Beowulf

"Welp..." He sighed. "They were right about me being a Wraith... And I occasionally come here to collect a soul. Its only from those who have no chance of making it. And, its not like I want to. But if I go too long without feeding I grow weak and sick and... well, no one is able to get near me without risking dying. But, on top of just making sure that I don't starve, souls also act as a sort of battery. My magic relies on it. The stronger the soul I consume, the longer I can go without feeding, and the more powerful I am until I use it all up." Atlas explained. He was actually kind of surprised that Sisceal was more or less okay with hearing about this. Not that the Priest seemed like a hypocritical jackass or anything. But, most people tended to not take the news too well.

@Axel1313

He didn't directly say "stop." He didn't directly give the order, Vytas could keep going. Even so, the boy slowed down a bit. It wasn't magic that was making him do so; it was just a small, conscious decision. He actually had to fight against the urge to stop, which was a lot more difficult than it sounded. The boy was still determined to go outside. That was the only thing that mattered... or at least should've been. But, now, his brother's words were starting to push the opportunity to the back of his head.

Vytas hated to go against Austere. Getting scolded by his older sibling was a hell of a lot worse than getting a lecture from anyone else; including their father.

Making the possible mistake of glancing backwards, the Prince's eyes landed on an object in Shion's hand. He had no idea what it was. However, just the smallest glimpse of it made him freak out a little bit. Call it animal instinct or whatever; but he could tell that the thing was bad news. Diverting almost all of his attention to the small object, he frowned. "What's that?"

@Hoki @Axel1313 @Beowulf

(Terribly sorry)

"That is if this works." Gareth said. "Go prepare this ritual and get the necessary tools to extract my gem." he told the witch doctor. "As for peace with the humans, that shall be a bridge to cross when we get there. First thing is first, and that is getting a certain amount of breathing room." He also had to figure out exactly where his gem was. He knew it was in his head somewhere, but he was never quite sure where. How was he supposed to know? It's not like he could see it.

((@zCrookedz @Axel1313))

Buras did fall back a little bit, but kept an eye on the man with young prince Vytas. He just barely caught sight of the black coin he had flicked into the air, and didn't like the look the man got after taking it out. But he let the prince Austere continue with what he was doing. He should know what he was doing, and being dragon kin had it's perks. Like rather tough skin.

((@Axel1313, @Aridis, @Hoki))

When Vytas had slowed down, it confused him; everything the Prince seemed to do did that. And at his question, the demon had no choice but to respond, presenting the coin to the other. "It's a coin-" Thank you, Captain Obvious. "-and something in case-" Shion's head turned to look back at the cloaked figure. "-you know, that's something we don't want to...deal with." He shrugged in addition to the comment, hand dropping to swing at his side as they ran.

@Aridis @Axel1313 (@Beowulf)

Even though he still had no idea what the coin could do, he got the general message. And, lets just say, he wasn't too happy about it.

Vytas officially came to a full stop at that. Easily slipping his hand from the demon's grasp, the boy jumped back. Even though he was aware that Shion didn't know who the cloaked figure was, it still scared him. Horribly. Enough for him to temporarily ditch the idea of going outside. Staring up at the redhead with wide eyes, he somewhat mistakenly allowed his panic to show. "YOU CAN'T USE THAT ON HIM!" The Prince protested. "You can't! I won't allow it!"

@Hoki @Axel1313

Startled, Shion came to his own stop, head whirling to look at him. "H-huh? Vytas?" The panic on the other's face greatly confused him, and the response scared him. Turning to face him completely - and "disregarding" the cloaked person - he lifted the coin again with a frown. "Listen, I don't know what's going on," the redhead started, "and if they're a friend, then you should've stopped running a long time ago, but you really must not think highly of me, huh?"

Shion held it flat in his palm as he would continue; "I don't attack without reason, you know, so I wouldn't just attack-" His gaze traveled up. "-whoever that is without reason. Whether you restrict it or not is irrelevant, because I won't." His fist tightened on the coin, a thin electric arc sparking by his eye.

@Aridis @Axel1313

"Ahhh...That explains a lot actually." He shrugged and sighed. "After tonight there is no use in freaking out over it I suppose. Especially when you can't help it. It's your means of living." He shifted again, winching as his joints popped. "Least you didn't take my soul. Then I'd probably have ta hit you over the head."

@Aridis

Austere caught a glimmer of the spark and prepared himself. The words to guard against it right on the tip of his tongue. He couldn't tell exactly what it was, but he was good enough that it would be no issue. "VYTAS! Stop at once!" He shouted more forcefully. "I don't want to hurt you!"

@Aridis @Hoki @Beowulf

"I shall be in the Underground for a while if you need me Gareth. I figured that since I was visiting it would be good to catch up on things here. See how the citizens are doing. Maybe even check out the human world. Some of my little fae told me a son of mine may be here. It would be nice to see how he's grown."

@Beowulf @zCrookedz

He let out a small sigh of relief. It was good that Sisceal wasn't freaking out and screaming over it. Atlas never would've thought of hurting the guy, but such a loud noise in their current situation would've been far from good. It would just take one call to the police or something, and they would both be back in Order hands. With a small grunt, he rose to his feet; only to notice the strong aching in his knee. It wasn't so bad that he couldn't walk, but the pain was still there. The raven would just have to learn how to cope with it.

"Never. Your soul is safe." A small smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. Despite everything that they had gone through, even the smallest of jokes was still enough to raise his spirits. "Welp. I'll be right back, then. Don't get bitten by another vampire while I'm gone." With a small wave, the male slipped out of the room; and down to where Daniel had recommended he go.

@Axel1313

Taking a deep breath, the kid tried to calm himself down a bit. Of course Shion wouldn't actually hurt them. It was just his immediate instinct to freak out. A potentially dangerous object+possible attack on brother=Heart attack for the little sibling. It honestly wasn't the best equation in the book; and was definitely not Vytas' favorite.

"Okay, okay. Sorry... But let's just hurry before he--." His arm had stretched forward in an attempt to grab the demon once again and make a run for it; seeing as though they still had a couple of seconds before Austere caught up with them. However, it quickly dropped back to his side again upon him hearing a specific string of words. He couldn't find any immediate loopholes. And even if he could, the young Prince didn't have it in him to keep disobeying his brother.

He ended up just staying where he was; with his shoulders pulled up to his ears, and his gaze on the ground. Switching into Dragon language stuff, he kept his voice to a quieter volume; but still loud enough for his brother to hear. "Sorry, Austere..."

@Hoki @Axel1313 @Beowulf

Did he ever mention that he hated being unable to understand situations - especially when he somehow got dragged into the middle?

They were about to keep running, they were so close to making it out for exploring; and at the man's call, Vytas had fallen silent and docile, like a sheep to the command of its shepherd.

And when the Prince spoke in a language the demon had no way of understanding, a heavy frown came across Shion's face, yet stuck around this time. His blue eyes lifted to watch Austere, then they dropped back down to the smaller male. "Vytas..." And while he had no intention of using his ammunition in any way against the other, his grip tightened on it, aware of an electric arch that traced his palm.

@Aridis @Axel1313 (@Beowulf)

Lucas bowed once again for to the king and then top the the grand fairy.

"Of course my lord. The ritual will not take long, and I should be ready within a few days. Until then, Au revoir Signeur Gareth, Madame de la Fee."

Lucas tipped his hat to each respectively and turned back towards the door he had entered from. He would not need to use the hole's in the castles protection to leave, so instead he headed straight for the front door.

Once he was back outside Lucas noticed that Buras had left his post, which actually made the witch doctor relax a bit. Though he had powerful spells and trinkets, he didn't wish to tangle with a giant he had mad look foolish.

Finally after a rather long walk from the castle, Lucas returned to his shop and closed the door behind himself. He locked and flipped the sign from open to closed and stood there for a moment. Silence in the shop was only broken by the ever so soft chuckle of Lucas's laughter.

The shrunken head behind the counter twitched a bit and opened its sunken eye sockets. At the sound of Lucas' laughter Jimbo gave a half cocked smile.

"Sooo, I take it da king gave you wht ya wanted eh? Ya gots de Dragonite?"

Lucas' muffled laughter only broke once he had made his war back over to his desk and st himself down in the chair behind it.

"All in good time Jimbo, must prepare the ritual first. But rest assured my rétréci ami, once we have completed this task, the human world will bow before the power we wield."

Lucas was so over come by his success he couldn't stop the laughter that rose from his chest and filled his shop with a dark and sinister air.
