Fantasy The Underground

Silver grinned as he teetered back and forth, somehow staying up even though he tilted farther than seemed possible. Raising an eyebrow at his question she chuckled. "Next time, avoid getting hammered before you know you have someone to take you back. Where is this place?" She asked him, heading towards the exit. "Besides just in the overworld."
@Axel1313
"You know me too well already. But remember that I didn't initially plan on this...it was this priests blood! He was drunk as can be!" He grinned. Shifting his weight to regain his balance again. "It's fairly easy to find, it's that massive apartment complex near the biggest cooperation in town. Impossible to miss."

@IceQueen

"That they are." She laughed softly. Giving the attendant a gentle pat on the head as her tea was delivered. "They believe that they know exactly how the world works and will hardly listen to us elders. Some are not as moving as others, but there are plenty, like you and I, who know how to change with the times." She sighed. "And...as for war. We should not rule the humans out, there may be some magic users left and from what I've been told by my fairies. Their 'false magic' is becoming more powerful. It could be detrimental if we are not prepared for it...a two front war is not favorable at all."

@Beowulf @zCrookedz

Normally, he would have probably ditched the guy and would've gone off to find one of his friends. But, since he seemed to be new to the environment, the kid's curiosity took over. Shion must've come from outside of the Underground. Which meant that he had seen at least a little bit of the human world; something that interested the Prince to no end. As usual, whenever he met someone who could tell him more about it, Vytas experienced a strong urge to pester the other until he knew everything.

Putting on a goofy smile, the boy shook the other's hand; tensing up a little at the pressure that it put on the scrape. "I'm Vytas." He said. "Nice to meet'ya!" He still remembered to have manners, shut up.

@Hoki

Okay. Non-shadow world sucked. Non-shadow world had gravity, and gravity came with pain. Atlas had been more or less in a standing position earlier, when he had been transporting them to their current safe-ish position. Now, he was collapsed on the ground; breathing heavily and doing his best not to burst into tears or scream from the fresh wave of agony. His eyes were squeezed shut, and he was holding his now-shattered hand close to his chest.

"Right..." He murmured. "Yeah... Help.... Um..." Earlier, Camila had mentioned where her apartment was when talking to someone about a delivery -something that he now realized was just another way of saying 'come help me beat some information out of a couple of freaks I've caught.' What kind of location did she say? Upper-west side of the city with a church right next to it? After wracking his brain for a good minute or two, the Wraith did his best to remember where exactly they were. He knew every inch of the city; so it was pretty easy to create a mental map of where the closest means of help was.

Unfortunately, they were pretty far from the nearest Underground entrance; those mainly resided in out-of-the-way locations. Fortunately, there was a hospital that was within reach. If Atlas hurried, and used up a good portion of his remaining magic, then they might be able to get to it in one go. There, they could gather up some supplies to fix up Sisceal. And he could...um.... Refill.

Not that it was the course of action that he preferred. But, this situation was not one for clinging to morals. "Come on..." Grabbing onto Sisceal once again, they dropped back into the shadows; and started heading towards the nearest hospital.

@Axel1313

Silver looked at him and shook her head. "Pick better targets then." She added, continuing to walk towards the exit. "At the least he enjoys gaudy places, or else I would never be able to find where he lived." She said towards him, continuing to walk down the road. It would take her half the time to get home, since walking with a drunk man is always difficult, but it would still be annoying. Passing through the gates was always a challenge

"Nice to meet you, too, Vytas!" The young Prince's energy seemed to spread to the older male, a smile spreading across his face. His shake - or at least the grip of it - was warm and friendly. When Shion released the boy's hand, his head tilted. "Your scrape might get infected, you know.." There he was, worrying about a scrape when the majority of the Underground could probably fend off any bacteria that entered through the broken skin. Oh well, he was just doing what Shions do.

@Aridis

He blinked a few times, and glanced down at his hand. It didn't look too bad; just a little bit of ripped skin. There were only little pinpricks of areas where blood could actually escape. Nothing that he couldn't fix up on his own... Eventually. His grin faded a bit into a more awkward smile, and Vytas rubbed the back of his neck. "Nah... It's not that bad. I'll be okay."

@Hoki

"I do hope there are a few sensible ones left." Gareth said, nodding his head sagely. "But I'll have to take your word on the 'non-magic'." After that, there was a short pause as he took a sip of the fruity beverage. He didn't drink alcohol, it burned his throat. A bit ironic considering he can breath fire. No, he stuck to fruit juice, it was much healthier for him anyway. But after he set it down, he spoke up again. "Come in boy, I know you're there. Let's call this a lesson in politics, you'll need to know it sooner or later. Leaning forward as if he hadn't said a thing to his eldest, he asks. "Who's the one causing the most trouble? I could bet that it's that dwarf in the Americas. He's always been hot headed, full of foolish dwarven pride and honor. Worst of all, every time I met with him he's been staggering around to some extent or another." Some of the Sanctuary leaders he really could have better relations with, but he's only a dragon. They have to try a little as well.

(@Axel1313)

"Oh. Oh, okay!" He smiled sheepishly, hand retreating to rest on his hip. "Sorry," Shion apoligized, "I know it's none of my concern; can't help it, you know?" It was the foolish human-like side of him and he knew it well.

At one point, his own smile faded into a more curious and mildly concerned frown. "You're a little young.." the male commented, "Were you playing? Or were you-"

His gaze lifted, examining the surrounding area.

"-being chased by something?"

That was unlikely since Vytas wasn't in any hurry to keep moving.

"Where are your parents?" he asked at last, sky blue eyes focusing on the boy. If it came as a relief at all, his sporadic train of thought has come to a halt.

@Aridis

Oh right... He was being chased a moment ago. Sneaking a look behind him in order to make sure that Buras wasn't anywhere around, the boy was relieved to find that the giant was nowhere in sight. Turning his attention back to Shion, he shrugged; completely ignoring the whole question thing about why he had been running like a maniac just a little while ago. "They're at work." In the middle of the night... Sure? Why not?

@Hoki

Luckily for Vytas, the redhead wasn't one to question. Smiling softly, Shion tilted his head. "It is late," he commented, "Maybe you should head home, Vytas.."

The demon was the one to start turning away, giving a wave before taking steps in his initial direction. "Maybe I'll see you around."

@Aridis

Ew. Home. Home was not an option. There was nothing but boredom at home; he'd much rather stay out on the streets and cause trouble. Maybe even figure out a way to sneak out of the Underground; that one sounded like fun. However, there was one little thing bugging him. And it kind of contained the fact that he didn't get to pester Shion at all about the humans yet.

"Wait!" The raven protested. Running up to the other, Vytas randomly latched onto his arm. There was no escape; mwahaha. "You're not from the Underground, right?!"

@Hoki

He hadn't even gotten very far before the kid had stopped him. Shion stumbled a bit, looking at the boy with widened eyes. "Not from the..?" He had attempted to repeat Vytas' question, only ending up sounding more confused. "I mean, not exactly- Who wants to know?"

There it was; his cautious side. And no one ran up to someone, suspecting that they were from a place outside of the Underground. Or, they did, and he just didn't get out often enough.

@Aridis

"Gravity is a b**ch eh?" He tried to make light of the situation as they both struggled to get up. His shoulder was beginning to burn like Hellfire, but he paid little attention to that. Right now it was get to safety. "Wh....where are we headed to?" He managed to choke out before being shoved into the shadows once more.

"I want to know!" The boy stressed. "Come on, have you at least been outside of it once? Even for a moment?! What did you see? What kind of people did you meet?" And the curiosity had completely taken over at this point. Ever since first hearing about the fact that there was something beyond the Underground, Vytas had become obsessed with the idea of seeing it for himself. And, until he managed to do that, just hearing anything and everything about it was good enough.

@Hoki

"Hospital." Was all he said.

Propelling them forward, Atlas did his best to get them there as quickly as he could. He had to take a few detours, seeing as though street lights and cars were a thing. However, it didn't take that long for them to get there. But, by the time the duo emerged from the shadows once more, he was completely exhausted. Even without being injured, he wouldn't be able to stand on his own anyways.

The Wraith felt weak and shaky; kind of like he hadn't eaten in a day or two, but without the growling stomachache. He would've, and probably could've, taken them inside of the hospital. However, there were way too many lights in there for him to get them very far.

"Next time I won't even pick a target...I got my paycheck so I'll just go cash it in at the nearest blood bank for supplies." He chuckled. Following her uneasily, he looked like a stumbling fool. "Yeah...least it is easy to find..he loves to be extravagant, just more help for me I suppose or anybody trying to find him."

@IceQueen

Austere turned a deep shade of red as he was found out by this father...without him even looking either! How did he ever do that?? "Y..y..yes sir." He spoke softly from behind the pillar. Slowly but surely he shuffled around the side until he was facing them both in the room. Then with a gulp he approached cautiously and took a seat near his father.

"Surprisingly the dwarf is keeping to himself this time around. He told me that he doesn't want much to do with the humans, but he is quite frustrated that the other leaders are doing nothing about them and with how disorganized things are becoming." She took a quick sip of her tea. "It is all over...the wolves in Russia, the dragons of Japan and China..even the merfolk." She explained calmly.

@zCrookedz

Silver smiled and looked at him, shaking her head. "Well I can tell you I know its close to the butcher shop. The one that gives me whole legs of ham and deer." She said, continuing to walk up the steps. "HMMMM how I would KILL for one of those right now. You are very lucky you aren't a animal, or you would be dead." She pointed out with a large smile.

@Axel1313

Answers were being demanded by the smaller boy, and, mainly because of how noticeably curious he was did Shion decide to give him his answers;

"Well.." he started with, "I've been out more than once."

The male didn't even get very far before a smile formed on his face. "Actually, I lived outside of the Underground for a while. Ever heard of the human schools? I went to one!" Remembering his past years made him giddy about so many things at once - yet the more...unfortunate ones were rising as well.

@Aridis

Eyes widening a bit, Vytas clung to every word. So many questions were starting to pop up in his head that it wasn't even funny.

"What was it like? What do you even do in a human school?" He didn't even know what people did in any form of public school. The Prince had a private tutor, shut up. "What were the people like!?" Yeah, no. Shion wasn't going to have freedom for quite a while. Not as long as Vy still had questions.

@Hoki

Flurries of questions. "It was fun," Shion responded, "At least, I thought it was. There was soooo much stuff to learn-" The male put emphasis on 'so' by waving his free arm over his head. "-and there was just so much to do. It was bright, too, and everything was nice."

He lowered his hand, fingers curling so that only his index finger could point in a sort of lecture-way. "The people were so different from one another; like snowflakes, actually. Some were nice, some were mean. Others were really goofy and some of them were serious."

((@zCrookedz @Beowulf . Wow I am sorry...it is just that kind of night. =_=))

"That butcher shop has the best steaks and burgers." He grinned. "My boss always gets his meat from there and cooks the best meals. It's odd how he's such a high ranking demon and arsehole most of the time, but...not a bad guy." He teetered along as he walked. "And of course the blood from them is great as well."

@IceQueen

"A hospital...perfect." He gasped. Using as much of his strength as he could to keep Alex from having to put too much weight on his now bum leg. Praying that they would be able to get that fixed up good as new again soon.

@Aridis

Silver smiled and she continued to walk, finally reaching the gate to the overworld. "Well I suppose that is a good thing. You probably don't eat much though, considering you are a vampire who drinks blood instead of eating food and all." She mentioned, looking back at him. She placed her hands on his shoulders to steady him. "Stop teetering, you are making me think you are going to pass out before we get there." She grumbled, looking at him.

@Axel1313

"That's surprising." he muttered as he took yet another sip from his cup. He was certain that dwarf had been the root of the trouble. But instead, it was the humans, as if it were anything else. "I do hope he realizes there is nothing we can do about them without possibly uncovering our existance. Unless that is what he wants, which is absolute nonsense. We lay claim to a fair portion of this earth, and have long before they came about, and I doubt they's like to make room for us." Turning his head slightly to his son, chimes tinkling together, he asks "And how do you think we should deal with the rowdiness of the Russian wolves, dragons of the Eastern World, and the merfolk of the oceans?"

(@Axel1313)

"So, they're just like us?" He already knew this bit, but found it fun to hear it from other people's perspectives. "What about the buildings? What are the buildings like?"

@Hoki

The moment that the duo stepped through the front doors, Daniel was there. He had heard the explosion, and had expected injured patients to come pouring in at any second. He hadn't known the cause of any of it, but did have a bit of a fear that people had gotten hurt. And, he had been right; just not in the way he had expected.

The blonde recognized Atlas; as the boy had come in many times in order to...dispose of the the less promising cases. Not that Daniel approved of it at all, but there were things that even Sera couldn't cure. Fortunately, the injuries that the Wraith and the Priest sustained were more simple matters. Without asking any questions, he quickly brought them into one of the empty rooms, and requested that one of the nurses gather all of the needed supplies.

"Set him down right there." Daniel ordered Sisceal; pointing to one of the two beds that occupied the room. "And sit yourself down on the other one."

@Axel1313

"Depends where you go" was the demon's response. "Where I was, some of the buildings were small and close together like... Like sardines! And in other parts, the buildings were like tall, tall towers, and some were like complete squares!" Shion's excitement might've become clear at this point, as he talked about the design and structures of buildings.

@Aridis

"I don't have to eat much, but it is enjoyable. Makes me feel human again and many things today taste so good!" He smiled brightly. "You don't have to worry so much about me tipping over. I'll be fine until I get to the nearest bed."

@IceQueen

"Mmhmm. This is very true. He must remember that we decided our borders long ago to comply with the ever growing humans and their actions cannot be judged too harshly either. They are still a young speices." She turned her head to face the young man as his father asked him a rather difficult question.

"I....uh..uh..." His breathing became more rapid as the color in his face deepened and the grip on his robes tightened. "I do not know. I have never seen or spoken to any of them before father..."

@zCrookedz @Beowulf

"Right....thank you." With a groan Sisceal gently laid Alex on the table. Then hobbled over to where he was directed and flopped down with a heavy sigh. His eyes shutting tightly as he fought off the pain.
