Fantasy The Underground

Looking over at Marius, she smiled. "Well then you should have said so earlier. For someone who was so drunk not long ago, you certainly do stand up quickly." She observed with amusement. He was certainly desperate for some attention, it was kind of funny.

@Axel1313

Black smiled as the man began to squirm and finally began to give him the response he was looking for. IT seemed that all they had to do was to know where to point the gun.

Of course his excitement over the situation quickly turned sour as he felt a familiar feeling creep up his arm. The black shadow coming from the Wraith had once again taken hold of Black who quickly shot a look at Connor.

"Sorry Connor, your toys all used up..."

Suddenly his hand pointed up and his finger began to pull the trigger on his own. One...two...three... lights went out each time black causing Black to swear a different word. By the time the gun stopped and he had regained control of his arm, Black was already fishing in his pocket.

"Connor!!! If you have any flash grenades, now would be a GREAT time to use them!!"

@Aridis @Beowulf @Axel1313

"Whatever you do....you had better get us out of here fast. Before they decide to end this all for us quickly." He groaned. Shifting so at least his head was facing Alex. "And don't worry....I'm smarter than I look..I know how to hide things." He coughed, the chair was really starting to crush his rib cage.The worst part was he couldn't do much about it either...that kick was basically all the energy he could muster up right now.

@Aridis @zCrookedz @Beowulf @rosamortelle

((I may not respond too fast tonight...burned my hand pretty bad today.))

"What the hell is going on!?" Connor shouted as Black began shooting out the lights. But what he said next made him realize what was going on. That damn wraith was doing something. But did he have a flash grenade? That was the all mighty question at the moment, he just had to get to his bags and begin the search. Quickly hurrying over, kicking the chair the Wraith was sitting on while he was at it and stubbing a toe, he begins to search his bags. He thought he felt something, it was cylindrical so it would do. Pulling it out, he prepares to pull the pin and throw the grenade.

Okay yeah. They needed to go now.

The door wasn't a very promising option. First, they had to cross the room, then open it, and then run down the hall, maybe down a flight of stairs because elevators wouldn't do shit, and then get outside. Even if Atlas used the shadows, it would take some time to actually escape; especially since the halls were pretty decently lit. So...That wasn't a very promising option. And that only really left one thing left.

The window.

Pushing the chair off of Sisceal, he helped the other to his feet; with quite a bit of difficulty on his end. He still had a good hold on Black and his gun, so it would be able to come in handy once again. With close to no effort compared to what the action had required before, Atlas made the man shoot the glass pane as well; shattering it and its power to contain the Wraith inside of the apartment. Unfortunately, he couldn't exactly get to their exit on his own. Thanks to someone busting his knee.

"Sisceal... We gotta jump." He informed the priest. "Just trust me, okay? I'll catch us."

@zCrookedz @Beowulf @Axel1313 @rosamortelle

"Sure..fine..whatever." He groaned. Bringing his arms under his legs so he could get them in front of himself again. They may be taped together but this was going to help with balance a lot more. "Let's just get out of here before they have a chance to recover again." He wrapped his arms around Alex to help him off of the ground and to the now broken window. There was a lot of doubt in his mind about this, but what other choices did they have?"

@Aridis @zCrookedz @Beowulf @rosamortelle

Threlm scoffed at him being called a civilian he knew many military and government secrets that he has collected over his time of being alive and being the main blacksmith. Though he decided not to make a fuss about it. "And it is always good to have a drink with comrades. It releases the tensity of the situation around them and makes life enjoyable!" He said in his drunken dwarvish voice. He smiled and took a few more drinks before setting it down empty. Swaying on the Stool he had sat down on a bit. "I might have drank a little much lad. So before I pass out I am going to tell you where I live." He burped loudly and explained the directions of where is forge was before finishing his drink.

@zCrookedz

Lucas smiled at his dwarven friend as he took a few last sips of his drink. The bar maid his arm was draped around finished hers off with ease, a sight Lucas thought was quite interesting. As Threlm began to give Lucas direction to his forge, he once again felt something on the breeze as the door was opened and closed. This time it was a tad more alarming and once Threlm had returned to his drink Lucas returned his focus.

"I see this as very profitable endeavor my dwarvish friend. And the consumption of the dwarves is not to be taken lightly at all. You seem to have finished off more drink than I can handle. I concede to your intemperance my friend."

Lucas gave the bar maid a wink and she collected the half empty tankard before Lucas and the one she had in her hand. Lucas rose from his seat and gave the bar one last glance as he placed his hat on his head.

"I will contact you shortly my friend. Until then, Au Revoir"[/i]

With the tilt of his hat Lucas gave the Threlm a smile before turning towards the door and making his way out of the bar. Lucas had not planned on running into a dwarf, but he was sure glad he had. This put his plan ahead of schedule by months, if the dwarf was as good as he said he was. There were other materials that he needed, many more sleepless nights to finish, but this was great leap forward.

With a grin and a chuckle, Lucas stepped back onto the docks outside and paused for a moment. There was a feeling in the air, a bit distant but still there. It made his head slowly turn towards the castle and lock on, a very strong magical presence had arrived in The Underground. The kind that made Lucas very curious.

@Saruwatari Tomohisa @Axel1313

The sound of scuffling feet and furniture was all Black could focus on in the dark. The Wraith obviously had the upper hand in this kind of darkness, but Black wasn't about to give up that easily.

when he heard the shatter of the window, he instantly pegged their escape route. While Connor shuffled through his bag to try and find something that might help, Black reached for his gun and in a flurry his sniper rifle was out. He lifted it to his shoulder and gave the scope a flick in the darkness. There was a small squealing noise as the inside of the scope glowed green. He placed his eye before it and swung it around the room looking for the window.

He found them as they prepared to leap. Though he had the night vision, it was hard to tell apart bodies so he aimed for what he amused was a shoulder and fired.

@Aridis @Axel1313 @Beowulf

"Yes good by lad." Now that this strange man was gone Threlm thought a bit about what had happened and sighed as he knew he was going to have to do extra good on this job. And so the dwarf got up with a half smile and stammered out the door too drunk to really notice anything around him and headed towards his house. He wandered what type of magic could be concealed in a metal container. And what Lucas had in mind for it. But that would all be answered in time.

@Axel1313
"Just to let you know...I am barely standing. Everything is still spinning horribly but I'll be fine." He chuckled shyly. "And I think going to the penthouse is the best idea for me tonight...my boss has more things for a hangover.."

@IceQueen

"GAAAH! SON OF A--" Sisceal felt something burning hot pierce his shoulder. He was lucky to keep his balance at least and not topple out of the window. Although he did come close to it...very close. "Come on Alex! Let's go! Quick!" He gritted his teeth. "Before they aim for our heads next." He shuffled closer to the edge of the window. On the count of three?"

@zCrookedz @Aridis @Beowulf

Silver chuckled as he pointed out the wold was spinning, and she pushed his shoulder lightly. "Well, be careful, because you look really drunk and you might not make it alive." She teased, flushing her long brad back over her shoulder. "Feel free to stop by the cafe tomorrow morning. I might slip a little something to help in your coffe." She offered.

@Axel1313

Screw the count of three. Atlas was going for something along the lines of NOW. Three seconds would hold more than enough time for them to both kick the bucket, if Black moved fast enough.

Not wanting to prolong the situation any longer, the boy acted. Holding onto Sisceal for dear life, he pushed off of the ground with his good leg, and sent them falling towards the cement below. He only had a second or two before they became human -and inhuman- pancakes, so he had to continue acting without hesitation. Thing is, he had to be touching his own shadow in order to manipulate it, so this was a bit of a problem. The Wraith reached his injured hand forward so that it would be the very first thing to hit the ground.

Luckily, he managed to open an entryway to the shadow realm in time for them to survive. However, it wasn't without a price.

His fingers had to come in contact with the ground first. So... They were kind of seriously messed up. Probably beyond repair. Although, on the bright side, they were now in the safety of the shadows. The Order members couldn't touch them. For now.

@zCrookedz @Beowulf @Axel1313 @rosamortelle

Sisceal had no clue what had happened after they jumped. All he could see and feel was darkness all around..choking him out. Or maybe that was only because he was a human in the shadows? He held had taken in a deep breath before they landed, but he could only hold his breath for so long. At least now that was their biggest and only worry..until they left of course.

@Aridis @zCrookedz @Beowulf @rosamortelle

"Thank you, I believe I will take you up on that offer. As long as you make it full of honey and sugar of course." He smiled sweetly. He was going to turn around, but hesitated for the longest time before speaking up again. "Do you...think you can help me get back home? I sense a lot of tension in the air tonight for some reason...and probably shouldn't attempt to walk home on my own...

Una was led down a long corridor to the throne room to wait for the king. Sending her little fairies out to play in the castle. She knew it was definitely safe there for them and they could not get into much trouble. Even if they did it was nothing she couldn't handle.

"Y...you're majesty. Would you like something whilst you wait?"

She smiled ever so gently and nodded. "Why yes, thank you. Some tea would be rather nice." Her voice was mesmerizing and smooth as the finest silk. It dazed the servant for a moment. The had to shake themselves back into reality again and nodded before rushing off to fetch what she had asked for.

@Beowulf @Aridis

Gareth grandly entered the throne room. He couldn't help it, when ever he thought of King and throne room, grand came to mind. Buras had reached him, though it had taken him a while to actually find the king. And it had then taken more time to reach the throne room. But he was here now, and that's all that mattered, right?

"Una! So lovely it is to see you here. What's so urgent that it took you away from your precious woods?" he asked, a broad smile on his face, eyes twinkling with joy at seeing this rare visitor. "Come, come. We're equals, we can't talk like equals when in a throne room. If I remember there's a... Ah, yes." His voice was muffled slightly as he poked his head behind the throne, his antlers comidically sticking out the side as if he were attempting to hide, the chimes attached to his antlers tinkling and sparking as his head moved. But after a soft, practically inaudible click was heard, a hidden door was revealed behind and off to one side of the throne. "I thought I remembered something being there. Come, come."

(@Axel1313)

"Frag out!" Connor reflexively called out as he pulled the pin and threw the grenade through the open window. After a count of five seconds, light was produced, just not how it was needed. Instead of a blinding flash and boom, there was an almost disappointing fizzle before the canister erupted into an almost unnatural amount of flames. "Woops." Connor muttered, grimacing at his mistake. Well, they wanted light, and that's what he gave them. They couldn't blame him for grabbing the wrong one in the dark. They shouldn't, anyway. At least there wasn't any blood on the furniture or carpet, no scorch marks either for that matter.

(@Axel1313 @zCrookedz @rosamortelle @Aridis)

The redhead was soon on his way, shortly after the visit to the bar; he wasn't the bar-type, so it wasn't a surprise that he had cut the adventure short (by casually dying, but we don't talk about that). Lucas had been kind enough to not kick his demon-ass for the fairy incident so he hoped he'd be able to visit the shop again.

Maybe.

If he lived through the remainder of his days as a stupidly human-behaving spirit without causing too much trouble.

Alas, trouble always found its way back to him, even when he was doing the most trivial of things; take now for example, as Shion was simply strolling through the streets of the Underground with his hands in his jean pockets, fingers tapping in habit against his steel coins. He wasn't looking for trouble, nor was he doing anything to get into trouble.

But what can you do, right?

@Aridis

Once he had started running, Vytas refused to stop. Call it paranoia, but he didn't want to be anywhere near his original position when Buras found out that he had never went back to the castle. The boy was pretty sure that no one would care for a good while. However, eventually, actual punishment would be planned. And he kind of wanted to avoid that, while also experiencing the fun and freedom that the Underground city provided.

Thing is, you kind of have to pay attention while you're running the fastest that you possibly can.

The front of his shoe caught on something on the ground. And, just like that, gravity decided to dominate everything. The poor Prince found himself falling forward; eventually catching himself. However, this feat was not accomplished without some scraped palms and a knee. Whoops.

@Hoki

Was he a good Samaritan? Probably not as much as one would assume; if anything he was more of an idiot. But, when some kid who had reached terminal velocity trips on a rock and comes crashing to the ground, how could he not act?

Jolted into present thought, Shion ran forward, shoes skittering against the ground once he reached the fallen boy. "Hey..!" he called, sky eyes wide in concern, "Are you okay??" The male let his gaze wander over the visible scrapes before focusing on the child's face.

Did the boy seem panicked, or was that just his imagination?

He knelt down to the lower level, extending a hand outward. "Are you okay?" he repeated, "Can you stand?"

@Aridis

God freaking damn it. Of all times.... Why did he have to be a mega klutz? Nice job, Vytas. Brilliant performance.

He ignored the stinging sensation in his hands and in his leg, as well as the helpful soul next to him. Climbing to his feet, the boy did his best to hide the burning embarrassment that was making itself obvious through the color in his cheeks. He was far past the point in his life where he broke down crying every time something didn't go his way. However, that was a very tempting option at the current moment. "I'm fine." Vytas muttered.

@Hoki

He followed the actions of the smaller male, climbing to his own feet. "Are you sure?" Shion pressed, tilting his head as he examined the scrapes on Vytas' hands from his set distance. "Don't you need, like.. Like a band aid or something..?" Granted, he didn't have a supply of bandaids on him, but it was thought that counted.

Speaking of thoughts; "Uh.. Where were you headed in such a hurry? Was it important?"

@Aridis

'Oh no. Definitely not important. It isn't like my ability to be entertained and not slowly die of boredom is at stake.' But, he was far from admitting that. One glance at the stranger's fact brought up a very interesting observation; Vytas had never seen this guy before. And he had at least caught a glimpse of just about everyone in the Underground. But, this kid didn't look even slightly familiar.

So many thoughts were running through the Prince's head at that moment, it wasn't even funny.

Sure, his injuries hurt like hell. However, it wasn't anything that couldn't be ignored-ish until he could get some medical help. "No...I'm fine." The raven repeated. "And erm...nowhere?"

@Hoki

Shit, shit, shit. They had to keep moving. Even though they were more or less safe, he could've sworn that he had heard Black say something about a bomb. And, while something like that wouldn't be able to physically destroy them; Atlas was at serious risk. While in the shadow world, light was extremely harmful to him. The brighter that his bit of shadow got, the more he hurt. If it was bright enough, then he could be potentially pushed out of his little pocket world of darkness.

The Wraith didn't hesitate. Here, he didn't necessarily have to walk anywhere; which was an extremely good thing considering how fucked up his knee was. Fixing their positioning a bit, Atlas slung the other's arm over his shoulder. Basically using the shadows like a powerful wave, he quickly pushed them forward and into the nearest alleyway.

@Axel1313

What would be more or less noticeable with Shion was that he looked...innocent; this was even further proven when he tilted his head in question. "Well, you're trying to get nowhere pretty fast, huh?" After the comment, the male smiled, and even went as far as to hold out a hand in a friendly gesture. "Oh, it's Shion, by the way - Shion Lester."

This kid was mildly interesting; who would go in a full sprint to 'nowhere' and be totally cool about falling over? And, unknown to him and unlike Vytas, the redhead didn't know very many people in the Underground, but had seen a few here and there. Shion let it slip his mind, however, as thinking about it now would be pointless.

@Aridis

Sisceal could feel his insides churning and his lungs burning, but at least it didn't last long. Sort of. As soon as they were in the alley way he felt himself heave, from the pain in his shoulder and from leaving that place. "N...nice...thinking." He gasped, rolling over to breath easier. "L...lets not hang around to long though...we've got to get help. " He groaned, looking over to see how his friend was doing.

That light shoulder push threw him off balance more than he expected. He teetered back and forth quite severely before becoming still again. "That sounds great! I'll definitely have to stop by." He hiccuped. "But uh...actually. Wait... Could you...help me get to my boss's house in the overworld? It might be a little too dangerous with me this drunk...If it's not to much to ask of course."

"My my! You are looking fine Gareth! Even after all of these years." Una chuckled as she stood to greet him. They had been friends since as long as she could remember. She glided over to the hidden door with him with a smile that lit up the room. "I believe you know why I am here though...to discuss matters with the humans and tensions between leaders around the world. You rule the biggest area of them all, so it is only fit that I come to you as usual." She spoke so calmly of the matter that it was eerie.

Austere peeked out timidly from behind a finely gilded pillar in the throne room. He knew he had sensed something powerful in the castle, but a grand fairy?! What was she doing here...and who was she? She seemed familiar but he couldn't put his finger on it...

@Beowulf @Aridis

Silver grinned as he teetered back and forth, somehow staying up even though he tilted farther than seemed possible. Raising an eyebrow at his question she chuckled. "Next time, avoid getting hammered before you know you have someone to take you back. Where is this place?" She asked him, heading towards the exit. "Besides just in the overworld."

@Axel1313

"Connor NO!!!'

To late, the grenade was out the window, and Black was back on his feet heading for the window when Connor yelled about the flash grenade.

Unfortunately, the flash grenade turned out to be much bigger than just a flash and as the fire of the incendiary erupted. Black was already diving back from the window when the flames began to reach up to the window sill, his gun sliding across the floor as he dove to safety. The explosion left a ringing in his ear for being so close, but other than that nothing was damaged.

As the smoke wafted into the busted window, Black threw his arm over his face as he peared out of the window and down towards the ground below. Nothing. No splatter mark, no busted up bodies, nothing but smoke from the side of the brick that had been singed.

Pulling himself back into the building Black wiped the soot from his face as he picked up his gun and replaced it on his back. He looked around the apartment then back at Connor.

"Well, that went well."

With a sigh he fell back onto the couch that had only moments ago held the captives. He dug out his box of smokes and lit on up, leaning his head back on as he expelled the breath.

@rosamortelle @Beowulf

Lucas's cane tapped against the concrete underneath him as he walked the long stretch of road on his way towards the castle. On his way he decided to swing by the shop and fill Jimbo in on the nights events and return the items that had been stolen. Now he clacked along the road fiddling with the small bag he had gotten from the fairy. Though it did not seem like no more than a bag with a spell laced into its fibers to most, to Lucas, it held one of the key ingredients he needed for his plan to work.

Though he still needed more for his plan to work, and one part of that was tucked away in the kings castle. He hoped.

As he got closer, he could make out the guards standing outside and tucked the bag back into his pocket. With a smile he approached Buras, who seemed to be a bit flustered

"Bonne soirée Buras. Is the king in tonight? I need to speak with him."

@Beowulf @Axel1313

"Course he's in." Buras said. "He bloody lives here, don't he? But I can't let you in, he has a guest. An important one to. But I don't think I'm allowed to tell you. Or maybe I can? No, better safe then sorry as me mum always said, I can't tell you. But I can tell him that you wanted to see him." What was really irking him was that Vytas had not returned. That meant he'd have to go hunt the young prince down, drag him back to the castle, and set him in front of the king. All that just to make sure he didn't run off again.

(@zCroodez)

"Ah." Gareth said at the sudden news. The humans he half expected, they've been sniffing around his den for ages now. But the other news, how there might be war, and what he understood, between the sanctuaries. "Thank you for coming to me for this. I can certainly try to get their heads set straight, but the younger generation can be so damned determined to do as they want." His once cheery mood had somewhat darkened at the topic. "And the humans cannot be trusted. They fear what they do not know and cannot understand. Why else are all their mages and what not all but extinct? The only human magic user uses his power for darker things, most likely in a vain attempt for power or something else along those lines." Gareth had a very strong opinion about humans, one well deserved. But that is a story for another time.

(@Axel1313)

"But it could have gone better." Connor said, peering out the window at the smoldering bricks. "And that was my last one to." he muttered forlornly to himself. Do you know how hard it is to track down grenades that burst into a ball of holy flames after you pulled the pin? A lot harder then you'd think. "But at least the Wraith won't be to hard to find again. He's got a gimpy leg now, and his hand is all buggered." Ah, he was such a simple person, not realizing that such physical things such as a f**ked up leg wasn't much to a fed Wraith. What he really had to worry about was that Violet lady.
