Fantasy The Underground

"Pfft. I think I prefer being a little more well aged. Makes it so I don't make as many stupid mistakes as I used to." He chuckled. Moving his limbs in a little to keep from tripping people up. "Of course knowing mortality again would not be so bad...it would sure make it easier to make friends." His laugh turned a little more somber. He forced himself to not look so glum at the thought of it though. "And come on! I don't smell that bad! Even my boss wasn't this offended by it and he saw me when the blood was fresh! And just to clarify, just because I'm technically dead doesn't mean I am supposed to smell this way either."

@IceQueen

Silver shook her head and let down her braid so that the pins in front would stop squeezing her brain. "Mortality is a scary thought to me. You will probably out live me actually." She chuckled, looking over at him. Something had changed a little bit, he seemed, less chipper. "But you do smell like death, even for a vampire. It's gross. Next time, take a breath mint after." She advised him, rolling her eyes and leaning back against a pole.

@Axel1313

"Mmhmm...and it's a shame too. Mortality would be a gift to me. I thought it was a curse a long time ago, but I wish for it back again nowadays." He sighed sadly. Then forced a smile back on his face. "But hey! I do get to see many many interesting things! And ha ha. You don't smell so good yourself you know! And you'd smell even worse if you had to feed like I did and then run errands almost all night for your boss because he's leaving town for a while."

@IceQueen

Nanami shook her head. "Believe me, mortality isn't as pretty as it looks though. You might be able to get it back in the future, after some time." She said, smiling softly before looking at him. "Well yeah, I know, I smell like dog. And probably lots of coffee ground and alcohol but it's not my fault. I work at the coffee shop every day and sub at the bar sometimes. I am the face of customer service." She chuckled, fiddling with her brain. "That's why I don't take kindly to flirting."

@Axel1313

Connor just heard the whispers of what the wraith said. He couldn't make out the details, but that still didn't change the fact that it spoke. "It kept talking." he dutifully reported. "Can I have it now? Come one, you have to have somewhere for me to have my fun. He's only one Wraith. If he could get away, he would have by now. I can get him to tell me everything, just let me get my things out." he begged, even reaching into one of his bags for something. "Yeah, see? I have it." he said as he pulled out a screw driver. "Put this on his knee, going into his leg, and his bones become Swiss cheese. Not broken, but easily can be. And the pain, apparently having your marrow scrapped out is rather painful."

After a grueling workday moving things from the ship into cargo trucks, Nautilus had a thought. If he were to stop by a couple taverns here, he might be able to learn some things about the organisation he now worked for. Gossip and rumors isn't much to go on, but usually merit listening. Anything he could listen to ease his transition into the human world would be more time fighting and less time explaining why he cant take his suit off. "Speaking of, I might ask around for someone versed in the dark arts, or at least someone of a church, maybe they can tell me why I cant leave the confines of this thing." He thought aloud. The captain had given them all a day of shore leave to unwind before we started on our mission, and Nautilus was going to make sure he didn't waste a second of it.

Vytas

Taking a deep breath, the boy glanced around the corner of his current hiding place; the furthest hedge he could find from any of the gates. There were only a few people lurking around, but they had yet to notice his presence. Which was perfect.

He ducked back down out of sight and squeezed his eyes shut in concentration. Curling his hands into small fists, the Prince puffed out his cheeks a little bit. He could feel the changes start to happen; and they kind of hurt. However, it wasn't so unpleasant that it warded him away from the act entirely. Vytas could feel his bones begin to shift and shrink; as well as a gradual lightness that came with it. His clothes began to melt into his skin, giving off the sensation that a somewhat suffocating blanket was being tightened around his body as feathers coated both the cloth and flesh. Some unknown force pulled on his nose and arms as a beak and wings formed. Soon, where he stood there was a large bird.

He was roughly the size of an eagle; if not a tad larger. The bird's feathers were a sleek shade of dark brown, almost black in color, which lightened up a bit at the tips of his wings and tail. His eyes were a dark charcoal, and held a hint of playful spark that was usually reserved for something like a baby fox or a human child. Spreading out his wings, he eventually managed to take flight. Vytas easily soared over the unguarded part of the wall; and soon found himself heading right for the Underground's city.

After a few minutes of flying, he found a quiet spot to land. Again, it was one without too many witnesses wandering around. He waited a minute or two in order to look around and check to make sure that no guards, or anyone connected to the castle or the royal family, was around to see his next transformation. Once determining that the coast was clear, he changed back into his original form; a 13 year old in a worn out hoodie and some jeans that might've had a hole or two in them. Smiling to himself, Vytas darted away from the spot and went out to explore the area.

(Mwahaha, fancy text)

Lucas continued to view the contents of his vial as the boy spoke. He was to busy thinking of what was going to happen to the little creature when he returned home. Jimbo was going to be incredibly happy, and the amount of Pixie dust he was going to get off this thing would hold him for some time.

When the boy mentioned the vase, Lucas raised an eye brow and glanced back at the boy.

"Vase? hmmmm, oh right, the vase that broke. Son pas était importante. Besides, something tells me our little friend here had more to do with that than you did."

As Lucas tucked the bottle back into his coat pocket, he felt the cool breeze of the harbor waft across his face, carrying a strange dark magic with it.

Lucas made his way to the end of the alley, and looked over the docks trying to see what his senses were trying to tell him was there. But nothing stood out.

What did catch Lafluers eye was a sign swaying back and forth in the breeze a bit down the dock. The sign was in the shape of a bottle, with a little boat sailing a little sea on the inside. Lucas smiled to himself then looked over his shoulder at the young man.

"I believe I could go for a drink after all this excitement. How about you Monsieur Roux?"

@Hoki @SenpaiNoticedMe @TheSadMummy

Black paced back and forth in the room, just catching the wraiths words towards the end. Black began to laugh at the young man.

"I commend your spirit young man. You obviously have the fighting nature. But that is why we have Mr. Connor here."

Black clapped Connor on the shoulder as the man revealed a large drill with a bit and began to describe his methods. Black reached into his pocket and found the folded map in a heart beat. He wasn't sure what Vascile's plan was, but he was here for answers and he intended top get them.

He took the map from his pocket and lay it on the coffee table before the Wraith. He pointed at the spot marked with a star,

"I pulled this map from a Vampire I killed today. He marked the places he was abducting young women to feed on with circles. But this spot here is marked with a star. Now I already plan on checking out this location, and I'm 99% certain I know what I am going to find. But if you cooperate with us, and tell us the truth, we might be able to work out a deal."

Black tapped the map with his finger to drive the point across when he spoke, and when he finished he looked into the young mans eyes before asking his question.

"Is this an entrance to The Underground?"

Threlm was already in the pub that Lucas was talkinf about sitting at the bar beating yet another person in a drinking game. He laughed loudly as the guy fell off his chair. "Whos next?!" He had a wide grin on his face and was a little bit drunk some might say but he didn't care.

@zCrookedz

He didn't respond right away, a light frown on his face.

Something was...different. He was no fool - no matter how much he appeared to be - and turned his head to look back in the direction his slightly more heightened senses had focused on. Deep within his very existence, the Wolf gave a light, cautious growl.

Sky eyes trained themselves onto the dumpster, the weight of steel making its presence known in his pockets.

Instead of acting, Shion returned his attention to the man. He nodded, smiling rather politely. "Yes, please-" He quickly stopped himself, holding a hand out to Lucas. "Ah, I'm sorry," he said instead, a more cheerful touch in his tenor voice, "My name is Shion Lester; Nice to meet you, sir."

@zCrookedz @SenpaiNoticedMe @TheSadMummy

"I would probably get it back if my boss ever let me go, buuut I'm the best and most entertaining little servant he's had so there's a very slim chance of that for a long time." He sighed. "And I was only teasing, I smell coffee on you more than anything. It smells rather nice. Oh, and that's not flirting...I'm just being nice now."

Atlas

Nope, nope, nope. The need to stay away from Conner was extremely strong. He could tolerate pain; but only a certain amount of it and he wasn't sure how long he could actually last until everything came pouring out. Torture was a very scary thing, and he didn't want any part in it. His heart was pounding like crazy; so much that it actually hurt. None of his lies were working. Even if they did for a moment, these guys would probably sniff them out quickly. After all, they had found him and had quickly determined what he was. So, it was time to change his strategy; and start telling lies hidden within truths.

Taking a deep breath, he glanced down at the map. There was a brief moment of relief, but he quickly masked it. "No. It's not."

Lucas looked down at the young man as he extended his hand. He had become so focused on capturing the fairy, he had never even asked the young mans name. He had become perfectly fine with calling him Roux, based on his red hair that he wasn't even sure how he felt about the stranger offering his name to him now. Still Lucas was not one to be just plain rude to people, subtle rudeness was more to his liking. He reached out and grasped the young mans hand and gave it a quick pump with his own.

"Pleasure Shion. Lucas Lafluer at your service. No lets see about those drinks."

Lucas's cane made a soft thump against the wood surface of the docks as he walked. He kept his eyes darting around, he knew he could feel something out there, just not sure what. As he approached the doors to the bar, the sound of your typical drinking establishments could be heard, sprinkled in with the occasional Sea shanty or "yar" from someone who fancied themselves a pirate.

Lucas stepped inside and a few eyes turned, none who were incredibly important. One set of eyes from behind the bar did shift over and lock onto Lucas. Funny thing about this particular bar, it was set up just like many other bars with tables and chairs, but the bar itself was strange.

A giant tank, made out of acrylic glass, stretched the length behind the bar and disappearing into the floor beneath. It was only filled up to a regular mans waist from the floor so that the creatures within it were more comfortable while they worked.

A beautiful woman with moonlight blonde hair and pale blue eyes watched as Lucas entered. But the most unique thing about the woman was the tail that she sported from her waist down. scales that matched her eyes shown in the lights behind the bar as they swayed back and forth.

The other bartender, a tall handsome male with dark black hair and few piercings and a tail of fire red, glanced at Lucas and then went back to pouring the drink he was preparing. Luckily most of the people who came in here were sailors and wanted nothing more than a pint of their favorite ale, so this was more of a manly drinking establishment. Which meant the women who brought the drinks from the bar to the tables were meant more their looks than their skills. Lucas motioned to a table towards the wall and made his way to it. As he sat down, he noticed someone sitting and creating a boisterous noise. The short man was instantly recognized to Lucas as a dwarf, but there was something odd about him that Lucas had never seen in a dwarf.

As Lucas sat himself down, a young woman with curly brown hair and a outfit that made her chest swell as she smiled and looked to Lucas.

"Welcome to Ship in a Bottle, whats your drink for tonight?"

@Hoki @TheSadMummy @SenpaiNoticedMe @Axel1313

Black sighed, as he dipped his head and shook it a bit. It had not mattered what the man had said to him, but he could have put money on the answer he gave and won the bet. Black began to fold the map up and stuffed it back into his pocket. He looked over to the other man and smiled.

"Your friend here is not very smart. Offer him a chance to save himself, and he continues to think we are nothing but fools."

Black stood back up to his full height and reached into his pocket to grab his box of smokes.

After lighting one and taking in a breathe, he looked back at the Wraith and sighed again. He looked down at the box and held it out to the Wraith with a bit of a smile.

"Care for one before Connor turns your knees into swiss cheese?"

He looked back at Connor and gave him a nod.

Sisceal glared at the the two. As soon as they were free he was going to get back at them somehow...or at least get Alex back home safely. He was getting the brunt of all if this. "How are you so sure it's in this city? It could be halfway across the world for all you know or not even exist at all. You could be on one massive goose chase for nothing."

Silver sighed and she shook her head. "Well bar tending isn't as fun when you have to deal with the drunk ones, or the ones breaking your glasses. It happens quite a lot. And thank you, I do smell like coffe and after a while it gets tiring." She added, closing her eyes. "Just be glad you don't have to smell everything and everyone that walks through the door."

@Axel1313

Threlm didn't notice as someone walked into the the pub. Though no one took up his challenge he got another pint and started to drink it as he looked around the bar to see someone looking at him. His one red eye examing the one looking at him. He grinned and got up walking over with a spare pint and stood infront of the table and set the pint infront of him. Ignoring the waitress. "I challenge you to a drinking contest." He had a serious look on his face.

"Don't worry. I know exactly what your talking about, smells and all. I don't visit the bars as much as I used to, but every time it makes me want to gag...my nose is pretty good like yours is. So everything is far worse for me." He scrunched up his nose at the thought of it. "At least your job is fairly easy. You don't have to run errands all day."

@IceQueen

Silence filled the streets as the tall, majestic figure strode through. She seemed to emanate this faint green light aura that filled the air with the scent of trees and flowers and calmed the soul. Little fairies and pixies flitted around her happily, inspecting everything in sight. They had never seen the Underground before seeing as it had been several centuries now since Una had been there. That was also the reason for the stares of everyone she passed. Some had only heard rumors of her and some were completely in awe of seeing her again, but...what was the reason for this visit? It was a rather troubling sign...

Silver chuckled and shook her head, her gaze distance as she watched people pass by. "Well the hearing is horrible too, but it's nice to know I'm not the only one." She chuckled, her eyes slipping closed again. "I feel as though trouble is brewing." She added, her eyes still closed. "Nothing stays docile for long."

@Axel1313

"Oh?" Connor said, visibly perking up. "I can have him now? Finally. Thought you'd never give me the chance." As he spoke, he dropped both his bags, and zipped one of them open revealing a marvelous collection of hammers, knives, nut crackers, and other misc. things, including a bottle opener, you know the ones for fancy drinks. "But I doubt she would like us getting blood everywhere. You have some place I could do it? Or perhaps a couple of tarps." This was his first time trying this, the drill was mostly just a bluff. People think of much worse things then what would actually happen. But he knew that anyone's bones are rather sensative. He just hoped the fae wouldn't pass out from the pain to often or perhals even die. "This is going to be so much fun.

(@zCrookedz @Axel1313 @Aridis @rosamortelle )

Gareth slowly meandered through the halls of his castle. He really didn't want to go to the public hearing he held. They were all grown creatures, which was actually a better thing to say in some circumstances, and they could settle it themselves. But he guessed that the say of a being in power was just looked for just for the hell of it. And hopefully Vytas was behaving himself. He loved the boy, but sometimes he was to clever for his own good.

Altas

'Well, have fun trying to find a non-existant entrance.' The Wraith thought bitterly. He had been more or less telling the truth. The entrances did tend to jump around a lot; and it was often hard to enter the same one twice within a short period of time. That vampire must've just found a spot where a door opened up often. Or maybe he had become familiar with that one opening alone, and had figured out a way to figure out how its timeline worked. Like how long it stayed open at a time, or exactly how long it was non-exsistant. That, or he was just an idiot who thought that it was open 24/7. (AXEL. Correct me if my bullshit is too wrong on this.)

Becoming a bit nervous when Black gave Connor permission to go crazy with the hell, he took a step back. Atlas had enough juice at this point to fade in and out of the shadow realm maybe one or two times before he ran out. The problem now would be grabbing Sisceal too. The poor guy kind of had a psychopath on his lap. "No thanks..." He responded to the cigarette offer. "I have a habit of trying to stay away from anything that can shorten my lifespan."
And anyone...

Vytas

The city never ceased to amaze him. All of the buildings and people seemed to come from an entirely different world from the one he had been raised in; even though it literally sat right outside of his front door. Vytas wore a smile that was so wide that it seemed to take up most of his expression. The first few minutes after escaping the castle were always the best. The rush of adrenaline and freedom was still fresh, and the hopes of what he would do until he was caught ran wild.

Hey, maybe he could actually be successful in wandering out of the Underground for once.

For now, the boy settled for exploration. Where exactly to? No clue. Maybe the harbor, or one of the taverns. Maybe he could mess around in the Witch Doctor's shop. Any of that and more was offered to the Prince; as the Underground was huge and had its fair share of secrets and places for entertainment.

Bloody hell the young pronce was a hand full Buras thought as he silently walked after him. Not to close, mind you. He could be sneaky when he wanted to. And he didn't want the boy to fly off when he saw him, that would not do. But as long as he didn't head for the exit, Buras would allow him his fun. Except when it came to places that served alcohol, then he might also have to interfere. A tavern or pub was no place for the prince, especially at his age.

Penelope grumbled mentally as Alex denied the starred location as the entrance. She knew fae could be stubborn but in moments like this it was quite idiotic. Though Black did impress Penelope for how calm and thorough he was while questioning the fae. Though she was unnerved by gleam she could see in Connor's eyes about harming Alex. Sure she didn't mind them dying you getting brutally injured, but she did mind seeing excitement in people for attacking. Penelope would have taken the chance to question further before any torture occurred, but a sudden ring of her phone refrained her from doing so. "I need to take this call, says its from the base. Connor there's a couple trash bags and a painting tarp in my kitchen. Black if he so much as gets a single drop of that fae my furniture, I will triple the pain of whatever he does to them on him."

Penelope smirked and looked at Sisceal before standing. Pulling away she planted a tracker onto his clothes that him nor the wraith could notice. Penelope removed her eye patch away from Sisceal and Alex's viewing eyes. With her index and middle finger, Penelope scooped her fake eye out of the socket and plopped it in Black's hand. "Use this to come and find me, the retinal scan on the door by my bed will accept the fake too."

@Aridis @Axel1313 @Beowulf @zCrookedz

Black stood there.....his hand held open......and an eyeball sitting there starring at him. HE looked back at Penelope as she walked away, then to Connor, then back to the eye ball.

"What lovely eye's she has..."

Black gave the the eye ball a little toss before pocketing the ocular orb and looking back to the kitchen where Penelope had gestured. HE went in and looked around a bit before finding the tarp that she had mentioned and returning to the living room with it.

Returning to the living he handed over the tarp to Connor and made his way over to the Wraith who was trying to back away from them. He grabbed the man by his bindings and lead him over the room to a single chair that he had pushed into the middle of the room.

As he sat the man down a thought occurred to Black and he began to look around the room.

"Not sure how familiar you are with Wraiths Connor, but here's a little tid-bit I've learned over the last few years. When your dealing with a wraith, make sure you have plenty of light.."

With the last part of Blacks speach he reached over to the wall and flipped a switch, turning on the lights to the room all around them.

The bar maid gave the little dwarf a pout as she turned on her heels and walked over to one of the adjacent tables.

Lucas smiled at the man and his tenacity, very dwarf like. As the man sat his drink down Lucas grabbed hold of the cops handle and pulled it towards him.

"Typically my dwarven friend, I drink wine. But on occasion, I have been known to enjoy the tavern brews."

Lucas held up the drink by its handle and nodded to him, "Cul Sec...

The cold amber liquid was a nice blend of flavors, that mad Lucas's parched throat much happier. Typically he would make the drink last a bit longer, but the man had challenged him to a drinking contest so Lucas continued to let the drink fill his belly until it was drained from the mug.

He placed the mug on the table and released a satisfied sigh as he watched the dwarf from his side view. He held up his fingers to the bar maid who scurried back towards the bar to grab the next round.

While she was busy, Lucas examined the dwarf again. Now in a bit closer proximity, he could make out what made this dwarf ever do different from most. Lucas cleared his throat "Its not often you see one of the dwarven people accept Vampirisim so eagerly. I must say, your a bit of an enigma my friend."

@Saruwatari Tomohisa

Threlm chuckled as the maid pouted at his interruption and watched as the man downed his pint of ale. He could see from the way he drank he had finally found a worthy opponent. And so right before he finished his pint Threlm started on his own lifting it all the way up letting the sweet nector slide down his throat. When he was done he put his drink on the table. "I am one of a very few but it was necessary at the time lad. And it may have kept me lonely but it keeps me doing my work without stop." He responded after a few moments of letting the drink set in. He examined him from up close with his one eye.

"I have absolutely no experience with Wraiths." Connor said, a smile on his face as he wrapped the poor man's legs to the chair with electrical tape that he presumably got from one of his bags. "First time working with one really. Let's call this a trial run, yes?" Finishing that task, he also straps the Wraith's hands to the chair. "Now, don't struggle. It'll only make it worse." he said, slapping his victim's shoulder amiably with on hand and reaching down for the drill with the other. "Let's start out small, shall we?" he stated, placing the drill bit right on the shin before lightly pulling the trigger to get it going.
