Vance exhaled heavily as Alister went inside of the guild with Ryder. He was quite happy that Alister didn't take the opportunity to shoot him. As he was gambling with his life, with the odds stacked against him; He'd managed to get the guild to let him take the girl against all odds. Even if they were sending someone with him, if they turned out to be a problem then he could just kill them, as they wouldn't have the numbers advantage that they have now. Though he was still planning on bring back the girl, he didn't want to have to drag her around with them, wherever they decided to go next.

When Julie started to talk to him and tugged on his sleeve once more, Vance turned to face her.
"Well, turns out they weren't too happy with me trying to take the girl. Who would've thought?" When Julie said that they needed to leave and that he was scaring her, he frowned slightly for a moment. "How am I scaring you?" He then lightly shook his head to her idea of leaving right now, without the girl he'd had a gun pointed at himself to get. " But I can't leave yet. I still need to wait for them to sort their crap out and grab the girl. Besides, how would Isabel feel if I failed to do something" Vance flashed a smile at Julie "You can go back to Isabel if you'd prefer, I'll only be a moment finishing up here"

Julie: Once again, Vance was bringing up Isabel this and Isabel that, tossing her to the side. Julie's eyes didn't meet his own, she simply let go and turned around. "Alright, just make sure you come back in one piece. Isabel wouldn't be happy to see you injured." Julie walked away, going back to where she came. Sometimes, Julie swore she hated how much people payed attention to her sister. The only time Julie gets payed attention to is in heaven. That's only because she's more angelic than her sister...currently. Things can change and she could be easily forgotten again. All she wanted was for Vance to take himself out of danger, the girl wasn't worth the struggle. If she were Isabel, Julie could guarantee Vance would back off. Not because it's an order. He'd be willing to do it. Julie believed she was a far better person than her sister deep down in her heart. That didn't matter though, Vance was a man, a grown one at that. In his eyes and the eyes of many, Isabel was a woman. Tempting as sin with her appearance. In comparison, Julie had the appearance and appeal of a simpering dishrag. She's still treated like a child no matter how old she is. All Julie wanted was Vance to look at her the same way he looks at Isabel. That fact that it would never happen is what brings the stinging sensation to her eyes. ( GingerBread GingerBread )

Charlotte

" Why did the first person have to be crazy? Why did Abigail have to go with the first person? Why was this person throwing something at them?! In an instant, Charlotte set down the basket of rolls and ran towards the bear trap and kicked it back towards the person who threw it. She didn't care if the person was just some random lady. She could be here to take out members of the guild. She reached into her bag and pulled out some metal needles, ready to attack if need be.
"Who are you? What are you doing in that bush?" She asked sternly. Now that Charlotte was able to get a better view of the girl who seemed to be afraid of..well everything. The girl stood there awkwardly after throwing the trap and that confusedCharlotte.'If she isn't an attacker then why is she here?' Charlotte quickly looked over at her sister, "Abigail...are you sure we can't find someone else to go with?"

After warning Maria not to fight, Alister decided it was best to walk in and comment on her non existent back issues. She cut her eyes over towards the male and scoffed. The two of them really didn't have a stable friendly relationship, mainly because Alister doesn't like beautiful women with big breast demigods or anything of that matter. She watches as he walks away. But just like clockwork after Alister commented on her breast, her perverted guild master followed. He cat called her then demanded her to come over and drink. Natalia glared as her blood began to boil. She released Jayn and stomped over towards him, in her flip flops. He was in the very middle of ending a meaningful toast. As he drinks the mead, Natalia grabs it from his hands and downs the rest of it before walking Ryder across his head. "NEVER SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT AGAIN! You terrible excuse for a male." She scoffs and sits at the end of the table, crossing her legs. Waving the mug around she looks at Maria and glares. She motions over to an empty seat next to her, basically telling her to come sit or get hit by a mug. Natalia pours herself some mead and looks at both Gurak and Ryder. "So what's this I hear about OUR nonexistent 'glory'?" She said before taking a sip. She looks at them both and waits for one of them to speak. Pandora

"Shit!" Pandroa cursed aloud, watching as Mr. Trap sailed harmlessly away from the girls and both of them turned their attention to her for some needling questions. Well, Pandora, she mused, you sure can land yourself in a pickle, can't you? Telling herself to shut up with a quick blow to her own head, Pandora eventually threw up her hands at an attempt to pacify the atmosphere her previous violent actions had created. "A-alright girls, why don't we calm down here?" She asked, totally oblivious to the hypocrisy of her statement. As the less fearful of the two kicked Mr. Trap back, she could only gulp in fear. Charlotte's motion to grab some needles didn't escape Pandora's watchful eye either, as she bristled in fear and anticipation as the question came.

Weighing her options, Pandora eventually decided that the best course to not end up as a pincushion by the hands of this porcupine girl was to answer these questions truthfully. "I-I'm Pandora Noria! I'm out on a supply run, and, er, under threatening pressure, I used the bush as cover... yea, that sounds right! Not that I'm th-threatened by you guys or anything!" Her voice came out, high-pitched and stuttering, and Pandora wondered if it was too late to just explode on the spot. Abigail's compliment to her stealth elicited a small grateful smile from Pandora, but it was quickly wiped away once another thought crossed her mind.

"Hold on... aren't you guys from The Order?" Pandora gave both girls a good squint now that she was out in the open, and realized she'd definitely seen them before. "O-oh, that's a relief," she muttered, slightly less tense than the Pandora-standard, which wasn't saying much. "L-let me reintroduce myself, alright? I'm Pandora Noria, D-rank member and, er, the guild's (self-proclaimed) trap specialist!" She took a less-tense step back to rest her foot on Mr. Trap. "I've rigged up your rooms - er, seen you in the halls enough times - you're Abigail and Charlotte, right? I... I wouldn't suppose you know little ol' me, would you?" Pandora asked, forcing out what she considered to be a smile - but rather, turned out to be more of a pained grimace. Chances were they wouldn't have - in the past, she liked to stay within the comfort of her room or lodged in the woodworks - but a gamble was a gamble anyhow. If she was going to die, Pandora wanted something with more explosions, and less porcupine girls.

Abigail
After the thrown device past the girls, Abigail stood up still in a panic at her near death experience. After a few quick breaths Abigail felt fine again and she fixed her dress after her dive to the ground. When Pandora suggested the girls might know her, Abigail took a very audible gulp "Pandora? errrrr Pandora? Paaannndorrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaa?" Abigail attempted to figure out who this girl was "Oh yea! I, um, know who you are. Pandora! How could I not remember you?" She had no clue who Pandora was. Abigail awkwardly giggled "Yep, definitely know who you are!" Abigail gave a confident nod, she skipped towards Pandora and grabbed her hand shaking it "It sure is a pleasure to meet you again! Wouldn't it be great to go on a Super Duper amazing quest together!? And become great friends!" Abigail merrily giggled as she continued to shake Pandora's hand.

Charlotte

" "Never heard of you." She stated bluntly. She didn't care if she hurt the girl's feelings, all she cared about was if the girl was a threat or not. But judging by the way she acted right now, she was no threat to them. Well, she was a threat by all the traps she had with her but otherwise, she wasn't going to purposely attack them and if she did...
"Alright, Abigail. If you want her to come with us then we need to get to the guild and tell..." She sneered and rolled her eyes at the thought of "Ryder that we are going on a quest. And we need to look for one. Pandora, If you try anything stupid I will end you." She pointed some needles her way as if they were claws. "Now let's go."

Pandora

Pandora's eyes glimmered with hope as Abigail seemed to play around with the prospect of knowing her name... until it turned out she didn't really seem to, breaking Pandora's heart once again. "Ah, that's okay," she muttered, though with Abi's excitement at the prospect of some "quest," Pandora couldn't stay so gloomy for so long, quickly caught by the more excited girl's energy. Of course, such a statement, while thrilling, still had to run past the usual Pandora fear-filter. I'd give myself a 90% chance of dying if I go on a quest, she thought, making up the statistic on the spot. Who knows what's gonna be there. Dragons? Black-market dealers? Some really creepy, really hard man? Th-that's not something I want to deal with right now.

She didn't have much time to fret, however, as the other girl piped up with a less-than-enthusiastic response at the prospect of adding Pandora to their roster. Pandora's head quickly flitted between the two sisters, totally baffled by their sharp contrast in attitude. On one hand, the nice one might be luring her into a trap to sell her organs, but on the other hand... the porcupine-looking one looked like she would just harvest Pandora's organs right then and there. Is she even a porcupine? She mused, as Charlotte leveled her needle "claws" at her. I need to think about a better comparison...

"Alright, alright," Pandora muttered, mustering up the courage to get a response to these fast-paced sisters. "Let's hold on here for a second." Using the hand no claimed by Abigail to pick up Mr. Trap, Pandora brandished it threateningly, striking up the same pose as Charlotte. "Look here, porcupine gal. As tempting as it is, what am I gonna get from this 'quest'? What's our insurance policy? Will there be monsters? Wh-what's the chance of contracting an illness on this trip, I mean I'vegottaknowit'skindofapersonalthing..." With all her bravado from the previous moments gone, Pandora's speech turned into a nonsensical and frankly, paranoid babble. "I-I mean, why drag me along? I don't like you that much either, you know."

Gurak

Gurak's left eye couldn't help but twitch as Ryder kept getting his name wrong in his drunken state, and the orc was constantly raising Oden's mug of mead to his lips for longs sips to hide his bared fangs. The harder made did have a point, though, when it came to the massively wasted potential in this guild - though he wasn't sure if missions were the best way to start. What if they all went out and got slaughtered by a wyvern or something in that vein of danger? That'd be a real waste of talent, he thought, taking an extra-long, anxious sip to match Ryder's huge gulps.

Speaking of a drunk Ryder, though, the orc figured he'd be in his presence soon enough. Taking the lightest step back as any 6+ foot orc could at Ryder's outburst, Gurak raised a steadying hand before realizing he didn't really care if the guild leader fell or not. "Yea, yea, that's all well and good Ryder," he said softly, trying his best to raise his mug in a more discreet way for Ryder's proposed toast. Well, at least we know he cares, the orc thought, quickly wiping off the point of contact after toasting mugs with the increasingly intoxicated man. But even with this much drive, is a man with this little subtlety gonna get us to his dream? Gurak set down his mead, trying he best to gently push Ryder back into his chair. "Alright bud, looks like you're hitting your limit. Silly drunk humans, I swear..."

That wasn't to say he succeeded in forcing Ryder down, though - another, more Amazonian guild member got to that task faster than he could. Gurak only caught a glimpse of red hair (and a strained back) storming in their direction beofre he redoubled his efforts to get Ryder seated. "Y'know, man, I don't think it was the best course of action to provoke our Amazon..." Feeling a sudden rush of wind, the orc only had a split second to step out of Natalia's way before the red-haired woman snatched up Ryder's drink and gave him a good clout at blazing speeds, eliciting a chuckle from Gurak. "Damn, Ryder," he said, raising his mug to Natalia instead. "So much for your toast, huh?"

Vance noticed that Julie wasn't really looking at him as she let go of his sleeve. Though he brushed it off as nothing. "Of course I'll come back in one piece" He smiled at Julie as she walked away. Vance then turned his attention back towards the guild hall. 'It's been far longer than ten seconds. It's a shame.. Isabel probably isn't gonna be happy..' He shrugged as he reached into his pocket, finding a few matches that he'd pinched from the ship they'd came in on. After checking that he did actually have matches, Vance got to work. He took his dagger out from it's sheath, and he started stabbing at the wooden wall of the guild hall.

He started making a small hole in the side of the wall, nothing too big or noticeable. He then bent down to the ground and ripped out some of the driest grass that he could. he then stuffed the grass into the hole that he'd made; Along with the small bits of wood that broke off when he was making the hole, he figured that it'd be a good place for a fire to start. Vance then took the matches from his pocket, and struck all of the them bar one, against the building, igniting them. He then stuffed the, now lit matches into the small hole that he'd made. He gently blew towards the bottom of the small fire, trying to nurse it into a bigger one. Once the tiny flame got bigger and he was satisfied that it'd last on it's own long enough to at least cause damage to the guild; Vance figured that it'd look like he'd went through with his threat, even if the guild didn't end up burning down.

'Well that should do it; time for me to go' Vance took a few steps back, still watching the flame for a few seconds to make sure it didn't just go out. He then turned around and began to walk away, going the same direction he'd watched Julie walk off in. He wasn't exactly sure how Isabel would take him not having the girl, but he figured he'd just have to deal with it, come what may. Either way he doubted that they'd ever be making a return to the guild anyway, so he figured the girl wouldn't matter too much in the end. 'I wonder what we're gonna do now? Maybe we'll just go back to hell..' Vance thought as he made his way to Julie and Isabel.

  • Just as he was about to open the door, Su'tal let out a yelp as the door was flung open and he fell to the floor, and as soon as he hit the ground, the goblin began to pull at the cloth wrapped rifle on his back in attempts to aim it at the thing that had just knocked him to the ground, but found himself struggling to do so. In fact, by the time he'd managed to aim the damn thing, the old-weird-ice-guy was talking to him or something...

It took him a few seconds to process what the man before him was saying, between the rapid beating of his heart and the scary look the man was giving him, he was less concerned with responding to the man's questions and was more concerned with figuring out if he needed to shoot somebody or something! After a few seconds of tense silence (and the realization that he wasn't dead) Su'tal blinked twice and cleared his throat, "Uh...h-help? I uh...I don't really need help per say- er- I mean I need help! I just uh... well, I'm not sure if I need help from you really? I-is there some kind of customer service or registration center for this guild or something? I'm uh...well I'm looking to do the signing up thing that people do when they enter a guild or any organization for that matter I guess... also, sorry about the whole, 'nervous' thing, t-t-this is kind of a really really tense situation when you think about it from my perspective for just a second y'know? I-it's like, you're going to a guild to join and you're already afraid of going outside because you're a goblin and you're like, 'well what if someone thinks I'm trying to raid them and shoots me?!' So you REALLY want to make a good impression on everyone inside but then this really big-burly-ice-man just flings the door open for a second and you think you're about to die because he looks REALLY scary and you don't know what to do for a moment and you're- O-oh...I'm uh...I've been talking for awhile now...sorry about that, I'll be quiet now...I'm really sorry for how long I talked by the way..."

Arnold

Well, Arnold knew one thing for sure - this soft goblin boy had a mouth on him, and a good set of lungs, too. The old man crossed his arms and stood quietly as Su'tal rambled on. He listened, sure, since there wasn't much else to do, but a faint look crossed his face - disdain? Indifference? Afterwards, his expression remained otherwise cold and icy - probably not helping Su'tal's case at all. As the nervous stuttering went on, more frost crawled up Su'tal's legs, and ice started to build up under his feet, eventually, giving the small goblin a little bit of height to compete with Arnold.

Once the goblin in front of him finished his rambling talk, Arnold remained silent for a few more seconds, letting every moment that he kept up his stone-cold face serve to psyche out Su'tal. Eventually, though, he broke out in laughter, though it was more restrained and distant than a full guffaw. "Ah, so that's the situation, eh?" The old man wiped a tear away from his eye, which quickly froze and hit the frosty ground with a sharp clink. "You flatter me, son, you really do. To think I'm burly in my old age-" he chuckled, tapping the top of Su'tal's head and finishing the freezing process, leaving the goblin's feet now encased in a block of ice. "Well, there's no reason to be nervous now, my boy. I've seen stranger folk at this guild than nervous goblins. You'll fit right in."

Stepping back to admire his handiwork, Arnold gave a satisfied nod to the slightly immobilized goblin, acting like this development was some sort of routine. "Anyways, don't listen to this old man ramble on, too - between the two of us, I'm sure we could talk the day away." Arnold snapped his fingers, and under the block of ice Su'tal was trapped upon, something else snapped too. "Don't just take my word for it - go meet them yourself!" With that, the old man gave the ground a hard stomp and thrust open the doors, spreading a path of frost down the guild hall. "And this time, let's not give you a chance to hesitate, eh?" With a slightly warmer chuckle than usual, Arnold walked behind the frozen goblin - and despite any protests he would have - pushed him and his ice block down the icy path, before closing the doors behind him and following the sliding Su'tal. "Now make an entrance, boy!" Upon arriving, Arnold waved his hands, melting the ice before Su'tal and his block gained too much momentum. The now-freed goblin boy would stumble towards the raucous group of Ryder, Gurak, and Natalia, and as a gunshot rang out in the background, Arnold could only smile at this wild introduction he's just flung the goblin into. Well, let's see how this turns out, shall we?

Loony_Bin Loony_Bin

Maria

Maria gasped, utterly appalled as Natalia disarmed her and stopped the fight, utterly disappointed with this turn of events. "NATALIA!" She shouted at a higher pitch than necessary, still waiting for her ears to adjust back to normal. "You, of all people - I thought you were a truly honorable woman! Do you-" She stopped to try and pull her sword out of the ground, grunting in disappointment as she failed to do so. "Ugh. Do you even care about GLORY? About my HONOR?!" Waving her bullfighter's cloth around like some sort of protestor's sign, Maria tried to viciously stare down the Amazon, while still tugging at her sword. The whole scene was a bit comical, like an angry dog tugging - and failing - to get its chew toy. "I swear on my honor, as soon as I dispatch this backstabber, you're-! Oh." The words caught in her throat as she watched the lightly-clothed Amazon quickly dispatch Ryder and give her a "you're next if you don't sit your ass down" sort of gesture, leading Maria to catch her tongue a bit before her next reply. "O-on second thought, I'll be right over, ma'am."

As she began the short trot to the table, Jayn's words caught her, just reaching her good ear before she'd totally turned around. A bit startled by the other woman's apology, Maria could only awkwardly rub at the back of her neck, losing her usual battle spirit. "Oh no, it's... it's okay, really," she replied, giving Jayn an apologetic smile. "I'm sure everything you did was harmless, and I'm really excited to meet everyone in this glorious guild, you know? It probably just ate away at my nerves a bit. While we're at it, I'm really sorry that I called you a backstabber, too-"

The apology died quickly as the shot rang from Jayn's gun, cracking the very edge of Maria's left kneecap with an ear-shattering pop.

"NEVERMIND, I TAKE THAT BACK!" Eyes glossing over once more in fury, Maria yanked out her sword and swung wildly at Jayn, before the imbalance in her now-injured left leg sent her toppling to the ground. "I can't believe you've done this," she growled, flailing wildly - and ineffectively at the woman in a desperate attempt to return the hit. "My glorious tale cannot end here, Jayn! I will smite you, I swear on my honor!"

However, Jayn's next words had a strangely pacifying effect on the utterly furious swordswoman. What was probably just a weak excuse for shooting her kneecap rang out as true sage advice to Maria, and the swordswoman ceased her screaming for a split second to take it in. She's... she's right. My duty, my principles, my honor... they have blinded me. A tear streaked down her face as she realized (or rather, came to her own conclusion) that only her foolishness was to blame. "You've opened my eyes, Miss Jayn," she muttered, taking the name she'd been screaming a moment prior and using it with respectful whisper. "So you were just trying to teach me a lesson... truly, you are wise beyond your years. Thank you..." Raising her slightly-bloody sword in tribute to Jayn's infinite wisdom, the swordswoman passed out with one last grunt that sounded a bit like "glory".

Alister

  • Tagging: The Elder The Elder Lotusy Lotusy Loony_Bin Loony_Bin TheImmortalDeity TheImmortalDeity

    Mentioned
Ryder, Gurak, Fucking Jayn, Natalia, Maria

    Location

Since the Soulscape cannot happen, before that.
Within the realm of Humanity, and at the Guild's Main Hall.

When most people deal with a normal day, they normally get through without the madness of psychopaths. Alister? No. His meaning of 'normal' involves someone trying to murder someone else, experimentation from mad scientists, and generally someone beating the crap out of him so he got better. But for today, it would involve putting down another fool.

Alister halted on the stairs, before bursting back down them. His body being filled with the energy it possessed before, he would pull out his revolver in a smooth motion. His feet stepping down the stairs as he began to observe the situation, before his eyes locked onto Maria and Jayn. The former was down, seemingly crippled; the latter was having both of her guns out, having critically wounded Maria. And then came the secondary shot. That was when Alister's resolved strengthened.

It wasn't long for his gun to raise towards center of mass, his voice raising to speak loud and clear. "Thou seeks the light with an outstretched hand. So obtain the fate you sow," He fired his first shot halfway through his words, and cocked back the hammer once more. "And on this path be wary friend and foe." With that, each click of his boots came closer to Jayn, as his second shot fired off, this one rocketing towards her right shoulder. It was barely a second afterwards for the hammer to pull back, and the third shot aimed for her left shoulder going on its path- and boldly missing to impact the wall.

Alister's face was akin to stone, matching Ryder's ability. "Descend into the abyss thou see, where the hearts of many be," was his words to her, as a sense of soothing calm was in his voice.

Oddly enough, to those who looked, one could see his eyes become a shade lighter, and some of his hairs lose their onyx hue to become a silver coloration. To him, the world was running at a slower pace than most, as the hue of his soul burnt through him, yet invisibly to all those except the ones who felt energy.

His revolver never lost the aim of Jayn, as there wasn't any trust. To be human was to spite, therefore he would not give her the chance. If either of those revolvers raised to face him, then they would be met by a fourth shot. This one aimed for her chest, as to keep the woman down. He had no intent of letting her grab the last moment of glee.

Ryder
Just as he was finishing up his little toast, he'd see Natalia strolling towards him, giving an 'I'm going to murder you and all of your descendants' look towards him. When he turned to greet her by trying to offer her a drink, she simply snatched his own mug, giving a big wallop to his head with as much force as she could muster. Ryder, who was now writhing on the ground in agony, had no idea as to why she would do that to him. Without hesitation, she then walked off, not giving him the time of day to gain any redemption or brownie points with her. That was when the small goblin skidded directly in front of his face.

Brushing himself off and rubbing the second welt that appeared on his skull, the man sat up, crisscrossing his legs and give the tiny being a good look at. Did this place always have rats? He was sure that the exterminator came in recently, so why were there still rodents crawling around? Giving them no real thought, he shrugged it off as a minor inconvenience, even though the shock of such big creatures existing frightened him to his core. Sadly, Ryder was in too much of a buzz to really comment on it. Let the rats toast. They deserve it.

Now then, how was he going to answer Natalia's question? Or, more importantly, how was he supposed to correct her? "Nonexistent?" he started off, looking up towards her, getting a pleasant view from where he was sitting. "Well, it's more along the lines of creating glory for ourselves, right? Gurak and I were talking about the fantastic idea of getting some of these talented and righteous people off their butts and into the field. They can make some money for the guild and for themselves. Everyone will be happy. That's where you come in, darlin'."

Getting onto his feet and dusting off his swimming trunks, the leader would smile so brightly it seemed that he was in a toothpaste commercial. "All the veterans in this here guild of ours are gonna make a party filled with recruits. It'll be a learning experience for everyone. The recruits will learn who they want to partner with, we get some money, AND it makes me look good. The most important being the last one. I'd say that every group has around three-to-five people in it. Since I'm going to a meeting, I - sadly - won't be here to see our success, but the least I can do-"

Ryder stopped in his tracks. There were a few things wrong with the picture in front of him. Firstly, there was a gunfight going on. Alister had just taken three shots, and a young maiden was sprawled on the ground in front of Jayn, bleeding out ever so lightly. Secondly, and probably much more importantly, the entirety of one of the guild's walls was engulfed in flame, the building creaking and groaning under the pressure as the fire burned away at the supports of the structure. Lastly, and not exactly viewed as a problem, Natalia still was hardly wearing any clothes. Ryder struggled to look away, but his eyes simply couldn't. With a bead of sweat dripping down his brow (most likely from the fire at this point), he'd let out a big gulp. "Is it me, or is it getting hot in here?"

Abigail
"Charlotte! Don't be so mean to our new best friend!" Abigail huffed, but she quickly jumped back to her normal self when Pandora called Charlotte "porcupine gal". Abigail covered her mouth but her giant grin was still visible, she snigged "I-I see it..." Her words muffled out between the fingers that hid her mouth, trying to make sure her sister did not hear her. However her giggling grew in volume, she turned her attention to Pandora "She is clearly a human, I think. Anyway" Abigail's started to calm down from the first comment "We don't know what quest we want to do, hopefully one that doesn't include monsters. However porcu-Charlotte doesn't know the difference between a rabbit and a monster. How silly." Abigail shock her head, finding Charlotte's actions in their recent quest strange, completely undermining what she actually did "Hopefully she won't try to attack any more cute bunnies. And why you?" Abigail put her hands on her hips and spoke with confidence "Because you were the first person we saw. And congratulations on being the first! Why, aren't you lucky!" Abigail gave a boastful laugh. "Now, lets get questing!" Abigail started to skip towards the guild.

Charlotte

""I wasn't being mean Abigail. " Charlotte sighed as she went back to pick up the basket of rolls she had almost forgotten. "I was just telling the truth." She started to walk away again, only to realize that no one was following her because they were to busy having some heart to heart moment or something. She stood there with one hand on her hip as she cradled the basket in her other arm while Pandora called her.. A porcupine? And Abigail just went with it. Thinking that her sister couldn't hear her fits of giggles over the matter. Charlotte would ignore that all to reassure Pandora that she would be just fine.

Actually, just to mess with her, she wanted to tell her that something bad would happen. But then that would upset Abigail so she thought against it.
"You will be fine. We will make sure that we look for the most non-threatening, super safe quest ever. Just for you and Abi. I will make sure that it will be super duper fun and exciting!" She made sure to add some jazz hands at the end of her sentence to show that it would be fun. Even though her face didn't show it and her voice stayed monotoned and uninterested. "Now let's go."

Isabel: Waiting for the two to come back wasn't the easiest task, it was quite nerve wracking. This was a strange area and while Julie couldn't be harmed by much, Vance was a different story. Vance was human, this meant he was squishy and mortal. Julie clearly cares a lot about Vance so if harm were to fall upon him who knows what type of wrath she'd unleash upon this island. As time flew by, Isabella's impatience grew. At this point, the little girl could be damned for all Isabel cared. She just needed the two to come back so they could leave. Eventually Julie arrived, followed by Vance. Julie seemed to be speechless but Isabel didn't question it. If Julie is anything like her then they hold the whole, bottling up emotions thing in common. "Alright, were done with this place. Let's go to the water, I'll summon a ferry demon to take us off this island. They'll make sure not to tell father." Isabel pulled out a piece of chalk from her pocket. She would need to find something to drawn a summoning symbol on beside the ocean. ( GingerBread GingerBread )

Ryan Silverthorne

As Ryan had been leaving, he was suddenly tackled by Sede. "Sede you moron, what are you babbling on about?" Where was his chair? Why would Ryan know, and why would he care for that matter? "I don't know where your chair is. You're the moron who got out of that damned seat, you can find it yourself." Shoving the maniac off of him, he stood up and dusted himself off. "If you really want to know where your chair went, you're better off asking Ryder or anyone else. Oh, and the reason I smell somewhat clean is because I'm the only one who cleans my damn clothes regularly as far as I've noticed. You out of everyone reek especially. Now if you'd so kindly get out of my way I'll be going to kill wyverns." He was more than ready to leave, and then he could smell it. Fire. "What the hell?"

Running past Sede, ignoring anything he had to say, Ryan came to a halt where Ryder, Natalia, Maria, Jayn, Gurak, and Alister were all gathered for various reasons. I haven't even fucking left and they're destroying the place!? The fire though, that couldn't have been the cause of a guild member. It had to have been the hooded man who threatened to burn the guild down. As much as he wanted to go after the man and kill him, now wasn't the time, sadly. Instead, he'd have to help deal with this fire before leaving. "Would you all stop standing around like fucking deer and do something about the fire right in front of your eyes?!" Rushing outside, he ran towards the well several feet from the guild and started tugging the rope to get a bucket of water. It wasn't long before he was rushing back to the guild, water bucket in hand, and started attempts to put out the large fire.
What the hell?

Bell
Bell.jpg
Although the place was in chaos, Bell was pretty much unaffected and decided to see if she could find a less grumpy friend to bond with. Then she remembered Ryan's interactions with the guild leader, Ryder. Their names were similar which was unsettling to her, however he seemed much more fun to be around. It took a few moments to materialize and wander the guild on her own, but she managed, and luckily with Ryan's knowledge of the layout, she used it to navigate. Eventually she saw the man known as Ryder, and scampered forward, leaping up onto his shoulder before speaking to him. Of course she hadn't connected to him yet, so everyone could hear her, and it was obvious they could see her as well as hear her giant bell jingle as she made her way over. Proportionally she was something of a cartoon character with a small body and giant head, and a bell of unreasonable size as well.

"Hello Ryder! I'm Bell." She giggled as she continued, "I see you're kind of in a hot mess, but I was wondering if you'd be okay with me connecting to you. You see, there's a few things that happen when I do, and a few rules I have to follow before doing those things. But once we're connected you'll be able to know if I'm breaking any rules we've made. Anyway, I'll give you the knowledge of how it works by connecting to you for a moment." As she said this, Ryder would feel a quick stab in his head, as well as information on how the connection works. Firstly was that she cannot remain connected unless given permission, secondly was that she is only able to read her host's thoughts from the time she first connects with them, any other knowledge would have to be granted access to her by the host. Third was that she sometimes picks up pieces of the host's personality based on her duration with them. That was pretty much about it, but any other knowledge about it was in his head now, so she didn't have to worry about explaining it in detail. "So... what do you say? Wanna be friends?"

Arnold

As much as he would've liked to revel in the utter chaos taking place in the guild hall, Arnold eventually watched it pass the point where something had to be done. One of the new recruits was shot, for goodness sake, with a pool of blood coming from somewhere in her as a more recognizable member - Jayn - towered over her with a mocking smile. To make matters worse, that wasn't the only source of violece and confusion in the guild hall: Natalia had given Ryder a good clout and stolen his mug while the leader had rambled something crazy about reclaiming glory and the whole two yards. Although Arnold didn't regret sending Su'tal here first, the older man wondered if this was really the best introduction. In fact, the whole guild hall was feeling a bit too chaotic, jumbled, messy, and... stuffy?

Arnold tugged at his coat a bit, chalking this discomfort up to the usual Cuban heat. As the carnage continued to unfold, however, the heat became a bit too unbearable, and... was that smoke? Small wisps of grey smoke crept past him, the heat ramped up a notch, and as the guild's very own aggravated wolf-man hurtled past him, screaming something about deer in the headlights, Arnold caught the gist of the situation. "I'd say I'm getting to old for this - but this isn't a half bad blaze," he muttered, cracking open his ice box and inhaling sharply at the crisp, new air. Stoking the box with a new burst of cold air, the old man slammed the ice box closed with a grim smile.

"Alright, alright, chill out now, bud," he started, freezing over Ryan's water bucket as he walked towards the growing blaze. "Why raise everyone's hackles when you can just talk to one old man, eh?" As he spoke, a thin sheet of ice crept upon the guild's ceiling, melting with small drips as the fire's heat reached it. With a snap of his fingers, the sheet was crushed instantly, making a mist settle over the fire, beginning the process of choking it out. After a few more blasts of cold aimed at the base of each fire, the area ended up as a charred, smoking mess with frost sprinkling the surrounding area. "See? Isn't that much easier? Don't even need to waste our well water - just keep your cool, my boy, and everything turns out ice in the end."

Celica
Once more the young maiden now rested within the confinement of the guild's infirmary. At this point, they should reserve a bed just for her, considering how commonplace ending up there was for Celica. This time, however, the spirited girl was down for the count, no hope of regaining her previous vigor anytime soon. No, now not only was her body exhausted, but her mana reserves were shot, too. Lacking proper nutrition and being tortured both mentally and physically, it was a miracle the girl was still breathing at this point, albeit very slightly. Yes, while this girl has had some bumps and bruises, she was indeed lucky. As to how much is unclear, but surely she won't regret joining the guild in the near future.

With the sheets just above her legs, the girl's tiny frame was curled into a fetal position, her hands tucked away towards her chest and face obscured by her long, silky black hair. Her complexion was much paler compared to even its usual luminous glow, now more of a drained and weary tint. Even under the sheets, she was still wearing her ballerina shoes, having never taken the time or energy to take them off - not that she could, anyway. Finally, the right strap of her dress had fallen to the side of her arm, leaving her white dress somewhat crumpled from all the shifting Celica did in her sleep. To put it simply: she wasn't comfortable.

Every once in a while, Celica's face would squinch up in either frustration or pain, the girl finding herself perplexed even within her dreams. From her constant moving and position, it was questionable whether or not she was sleeping or if she had to use the bathroom, which might have very well been the case. Once easing down, her shaken breath had lulled to a soft rhythmic beat, as if to indicate that whatever plagued her during her sleep was now gone. Of course, this was then followed up by a grumble of her stomach, as any child would. The living light bulb hadn't eaten for quite a while, but only now did her body cry out. With the adrenaline out of her system and her organs taking up their usual positions, it was about time for her to gain some sustenance before truly running out of reserves.

  • The situation that he was once in only got worse as Su'tal soon found himself being frozen slowly, the goblin began to panic as he took the rifle on his back and began to bang it against the ice uselessly against the block that was freezing his legs! It began to become hard to even hear Arnold as a million thoughts ran through his mind! What if he was being dragged to some kind of sacrificial ritual?! What if he had gotten the address to the Order wrong and this was some kidnapping ring?! What if this guy had some REALLY weird Goblin fetish?! The goblin forced a smile and looked up at the older man, "H-h-h-hey, I'm sorry I found this place! I-I promise I won't tell anybody about what's going on here or anything! P-please, I don't want to die- wait why is the ice melting now?"

Su'tal looked down at his legs to see the ice melting as he nearly collapsed once he was back on his own feet. The goblin looked up at Arnold frightfully as he talked about making an entrance, but before he could hope to even say anything, Arnold pushed him into a room with an orc, a pactborn, and a woman with rather large 'assets', and even then, before he could say anything to the room, he was once again interrupted, this time by a gunshot.

    A freaking gunshot.

Su'tal yelped and jumped back as nearly everyone in the room stood up and rushed to the hall, and after a few seconds he decided to as well, just to see what all the commotion was about. Once he reached the hallway he saw two women sprawled out on the floor bleeding out with a rather scary looking man standing above both of them with a revolver, add to all of that the growing heat of the fire that was soon dissipated by Arnold. All of this was to much for the goblin, as he finally broke as he attempted to sprint for the doors, "What kind of weird sex cult is this?!"

Jayn and everyone in the guild hall.

    Location

    Guild's Main Hall.

When shit goes down, life just goes whack. For Alister? That meant that someone, typically Ryder, was interfering with his day. He had planned to meditate, and that wasn't going to be the case today. His revolver was holstered, as he knelt down beside Jayn, gently picking them up in a bridal carry. He didn't plan to agitate their wounds too much, as they screamed their heads off. There was a distinct tired aura radiating off him, even if his senses were still in overdrive.

"Jayn, I'm tired physically, mentally, and spiritually. If you really want to keep screaming, please, just wait until I'm out of earshot, and asleep, so someone can murder me while I'm not even able to defend myself. Okay?"

Anyone who walked up to him got a good look from him of "I'm done with this shit." as he would begin his path towards the infirmary. By this point, he was somewhat dragging his feet, as if something had drawn most of the life out of the poor man. His skin was more pale from his usual tanned features, a sign of illness or something. Most likely something.

Ryder
Ah, perfect. Ryder has gotten drunk enough to the point where he is now able to see talking cats that want to strike deals with him. If he was any more buzzed, perhaps he'd even be down for it, the idea intriguing, if only for just a second. Of course, he was stopped short by the display of Ice Daddy Arnold's ability to dispatch of the fire quickly and easily, along with Jayn's pleas for help and for the man of her dreams someone to come and save her from the vile Alister and his horrible clutches. Turning to the cat that was now resting on his shoulder, Ryder gave them a wink. "Sorry, my little friend. Seems I'll have to take a raincheck on that whole 'connection' thing for another time." Dashing towards Maria at speeds abnormal to any normal human (except a lustrous beast), he'd bend down to the floor, giving her a quick glance as to make sure what he was doing next wouldn't hurt her.

"Hup!" he would suddenly grunt, hoisting her onto his shoulder, holding her in place with an arm around her waist. She was much heavier than he imagined, especially with the armor tagged along with her, but Ryder had to look cool in front of Natalia. So, without breaking a sweat, he'd give both her and the orc a quick wave. "I'll take this one to the infirmary. Once I'm done there, we can pick back up on our oh-so-needed discussion from earlier." Without further explanation, he followed after Alister, wondering if it was a crime to harass Serena while she was working.

"New patients comin' in hot," Ryder would announce, walking in on Serena and her sleeping patient without any thought of courtesy to the 'healing process'. "These two basically got gunshot wounds from downstairs. It was great," he remarked, setting Maria down gently onto the bed right next to Celica's. Of course, being the leader that he was, he had to comment on the medic's outfit. "Y'know," he started, eyeing her up and down a few times, as if to scream that he was interested, "You don't look too bad in that get-up. Hell, maybe even I'll get sick if it means seeing you all day." Ending the sentence with a purr, the leader then turned to Alister and Jayn, raising a brow. "Also, when did we resort to shooting each other, anyway?" He'd ask the both of them, giving an unironically disapproving frown. "For shame."

Pandora

Seeing that sticking to the pocupine's sister, Abigail, offered the best chance of survival, Pandroa quickly attached herself to the other girl and her mentions of the quest, nodding profusely in agreement. "Why, that's sound logic, Abigail," she said, using her name even without a proper introduction. "Of course first is best - the one who gets the drop on her opponents is the winner, is she not?" She asked, puffing out her chest in pride. "And, would you know it, that's my specialty, too!" With her other hand inside Mr. Trap, Pandora made her imaginary friend not his metal head. "Mr. Trap and I promise to defend you two wherever you go. Three cheers for questing!"

Charlotte's less enthusiastic answer, however, quickly killed all of Pandora's hype. "Super duper fun and exciting," she said, mimicking Charlotte while opening and closing Mr. Trap's mouth as if he was some sort of odd ventriloquist's puppet, ending it by mirroring the other girl's own unenthusiastic jazz hands. "Abigail, are you sure she's a human?" She asked quietly, squinting a bit at Charlotte. "Maybe she's a wolf? Like that one pretending to be a grandma? My, Charlotte! What big needle-claws you have!" Adding to that last comment with some more creative Mr. Trap gum-flapping, Pandora turned around to run to the guild, brushing past Charlotte before the girl could make her into a pincushion. "C'mon, let's go talk to the hard guy!"

As she backtracked down the path she'd worked so hard to travel down, Pandora started slowing her pace when she saw the guild's familiar dismal appearance - though something looked a bit different from when she left this morning. Was... that a fire? Catching sight of some of her traps exposed through the burnt building, Pandora quickly snatched up the disarmed ones, nabbing two bear traps, seven sticks of dynamite, and her usual springs and gadgets. "D-do you think something happened?" She asked, looking back to see if the sisters saw the burnt part too. "Maybe the orc went overboard, or..." Pandora trailed off as she thought this could've happened - most of which involved diving punishment and the end of times - breaking out into a cold sweat as she did so. "A-are you girls ready to go in? Ladies f-first..."

Gurak

As the mess hall's chaos continued to unfold, Gurak decided to steal Ryder's seat and act as the vital role of bystander during the whole ordeal - sprinkling in a couple of thoughtful mouthfuls of mead as he watched. The most pressing issue was the rising fire that made the hall feel a bit toasty, but the orc let his older, colder peer take care of that instead. Likewise, he watched the old man drop of a little goblin boy and both of the guilds gun wielder go at it for a bit, almost hoping someone would get killed in the chaos. Gurak was almost about to sneak off with what he thought was a dead Maria before their lustful leader leapt in to lug the laid-out lass to the infirmary where she belonged MY GOD.

Hearing the new goblin boy behind him sprint for the doors while yelling something about a sex cult, Gurak couldn't help but stifle a laugh. "We're 'The Orderly Orgy', man! Never heard of us?" He yelled to Su'tal's retreating form. "Catering to Cuba's needs for thirty years! Hard men, soft boys, we've got them all - ah, there he goes." Turning back to watch Alister run off with Jayn, leaving the room a bit more quiet and a lot less fun, the orc chuckled one last time before deciding what he was supposed to do. Turning back one of the last people left, Natalia, he raised his mug and attempted to break the silence after all the... strange scenes that had just unfolded. "So, how about those missions? Think we're actually gonna succeed like the hard boy thinks?"

As Natalia tried to lower the chaos, it only seem to spread like fire. Natalia was merely sitting down at the table when shit started to hit the fan. First Jayn fired a shot into the new girl Maria, then Alister comes up and fires shots into Jayn. Natalia's grip on her mug tightened as she witness members of the guild inflict major injuries onto one another. Then to top it all off the guild wall caught fire. Too much was going on and the only thing that Natalia had to keep her cool was the alcohol in front of her. She poured her some and took a sip. Her anger slowly subsided as so did the chaos. The fire was gone and Ryder and Alister took the wounded to the infirmary, leaving Gurak and Natalia at the table. "We'll succeed, only if we can stop causing harm to each other and the guild hall." She said with a stern expression. She then takes another swig from her cup and stood up. "Now if you excuse me, Ima put on some clothes and gather my things. I feel a storm is going to come within this building." Natalia left Gurak and went up the stairs towards her room, where she'll change into her usual attire. Lotusy Lotusy

    Jayn, Ryder, Arnold

    Guild's Main Hall.

"Ryder. Keep your eyes to yourself for once, damn it." came the pissed off comment from the man. There was more than a bit of fury in those words, as if Ryder had said it about his mother. Or maybe he was just angry at Ryder in general.

As soon as Ryder spoke the second time, Alister started to set Jayn down on a bed. His footsteps carrying him over to the wall, where he would slide down to the floor. He'd pause. "You're right. I shouldn't have shot her." There was something unsaid there, as his eyes trailed over to Jayn. An almost frustrated look was given to Ryder afterwards, as he finished his sentence "It was a waste of bullets when I have a perfectly good sword." If Ryder paid any sort of attention, there was signs to Alister's condition, from his pale appearance to his twitching hands.

His hands were already full of jitters, seemingly nervous energy. Very few would know better, and it certainly wasn't anyone other than Ryder himself, who currently irritated him. He took in a stabilizing breath, allowing the latent energy to leave his body, causing the twitching to subside, ever so slightly. There was always risks to his mana, and he understood it made him snappy, pissed off, and generally an unhappy camper.

But for now, he would just take in deep breaths, trying to calm down, and sooth his soul. His eyes closed after a moment, as he would tighten his hands into fists, before relaxing them to be free. His hands laid over his chest, looking to the world to be at peace. It was an advantage of his training, at least. And so he lightly delved into the light of his soul, allowing it to comfort him.
