Fantasy The Lost Treasure of Creation

Time Skip!

Time:

It has been two weeks.

What your character has been up to for the past two weeks is up to you, whether it be exploring more dungeons, recuperating physically or mentally from the last dungeon, gathering supplies/intelligence, etc.

Location/Setting:

Now, all characters will find themselves in a large city.

In the center of the city is the stronghold, the lord of the land's castle.

Southwest of that, just inside the city's main gates, is a large building that serves as church, graveyard, and hospital.

There are various inns in different sectors of the city, a few taverns and restaurants, shops, etc. The main marketplace is in the northwest sector of the city.

sarum1-1024x654.jpg

700px-Old_Sarum_Model_from_West.jpg

The city is located much more north than the previous locations. To the south, southeast, it is bordered by thick forests, home to some villages, tribes, and towns, mostly enkidu or elvish in nature, but with the occasional dragon tribe. To the north, northwest is the ocean, with smaller ocean side towns and villages that are mostly human. West is mostly plains, with scattered trees, lakes, and the occasional farm or village, which eventually leads to some mountains, where there are the occasional dragon or enkidu tribes. One of the mountains is actually a volcano, though it has, so far, lay dormant for a long time.

Current Rumors:

There are many rumors circulating the town. Here are a few that your characters can pick up on.

  • There was a fishing village to the northwest of the city, halfway between the city and the mountains, which was mysteriously wiped out a couple years ago. Though this is somewhat old news, it seems the news has not spread very far, and travelers, merchants, traders, etc. who have gone to the town on the premise that it still existed have come back to the city with strange tales. They claim that sirens have been luring people into the ocean and to their deaths, and that the corpses of the drowned have been shambling along the streets at night, attacking those who are dumb enough to be seen by them.

  • Farther to the west, among the mountains, there is a dormant volcano. It is rumored that there is an old temple somewhere in the volcano that houses a great treasure. Some say riches, others say a magical power or great weapon, but they all claim that the temple is guarded by three large golems, and various other aggressive creatures that have made the temple their home.

  • Somewhere deep inside the southeastern forest, an eerie music can be heard. It is unlike natural music, that can sometimes be heard from the various tribes and villages that make the forest their home; instead, the music gives off an unsettling vibe. Apparently, those who have heard the music have lost track of time, getting lost in the forest or just laying down to rest for a while before continuing on their journey. By the time they get out of the forest, they report being gone a few hours, maybe a few days. In reality, they have been gone weeks, sometimes even months. No one has been able to recall anything about that time, except for the strange music, and some pretty blue lights that lead them to a beautiful clearing.

  • To the north, along the coast of the ocean, there is a coastal cavern that is remarkably beautiful. It is said, that if a person were to go to that cavern during a full moon, a pathway is revealed within the cavern that leads to an old temple that was once dedicated to an ancient water goddess. Recently, monsters have taken over the temple, tainting it and making it dangerous to explore. It is said that a beast of the deep, a mysterious kraken, has taken up residence in the deepest part of the temple, and is protecting something there.

  • Within the city, strange figures have been seen coming and going from the church/hospital at night. The grave keeper has been complaining about body parts going missing from the morgue, and graves being dug up with bodies missing.

  • A storm is brewing in the west. It's likely a large thunderstorm will sweep over the land within the next few days. It's likely to be a harsh rain that lasts several days. There is the possibility of certain areas flooding.

  • Screams have been heard throughout the city at night. Every time the screams are heard, however, there is seemingly nothing to be found.

  • Some people have gone missing from town lately. Mostly women in their late teens, early twenties, though there have been some that have gone missing who are older. Investigations have turned up little. Citizens are warned to be alert, and women are urged to stay inside at night, or only venture out in a group or with an escort.

  • Guard activity has been increased, especially at night, to increase security around the city due to recent complaints and missing persons.

  • Apparently, a mining village farther to the south, beyond the forest, has been completely abandoned. Some refugees have found their way to the city and the nearby villages and towns. They say that the mines were haunted, and eventually collapsed. There was a large fortune near the mines that a villager found and spread amongst the remaining villagers to aid in their evacuation. The town has become a ghost town.

  • Still far to the south, even farther than the mining village, word has traveled from a small town near the desert. It seems that, whatever monsters had been plaguing the desert temple near the town has been taken care of. Merchants and travelers are able to take the route near the old temple once more in order to trade and sell their goods to the people of the Seheran desert once more.

((Sorry, I know there's a lot to read in the rumors section ^^'' Not all rumors will necessarily lead anywhere or have to be followed, and not all rumors have to be discovered by your character, they're just there for you to decide what to learn and what not to learn :P further rumors can be added later on, as I'll add this new info into the overview.))

Arya Tinuviel

Location: Ocean City - Easternmost Tavern

With: ??? / Near: ???

The blue haired girl sat in the corner of a tavern, the easternmost tavern within the city. It was almost noon, when Ireth was to meet up with her. The elf girl had not made it to the earlier meeting the week prior, and Arya wondered if she was okay. Her blood-red eyes watched the entrance impatiently, the drink in her mug bubbling uncomfortably. It was likely that the liquids around her -- such as those in other people's mugs -- was also bubbling up with her discomfort. It wasn't just the worry that she felt for her missing companion, though that was a factor; Arya was worried about the others in the tavern surrounding her. So far, none of them had looked closely enough at her to realize that her eyes did not glow as a dragon's should, to realize that she wasn't a dragon as her blue hair and red eyes would suggest. Really, she was lucky in that it was easier for her to hide her hybrid status more than others, but one perceptive glance in her direction, and she could quickly become the object of unwanted attention. Besides, it was more likely that people in this city might have heard of her, due to her past, and the entire time that she had been in the city, she had been on edge.

The girl listened in to the talk around the tavern as she sat at her table in the corner, picking up bits and pieces here and there.

"Did you hear about that village that was mysteriously wiped out two years ago? Well, I heard..."

Arya listened carefully to the information being spoken nearby. It was interesting, and hearing about it seemed to pain her. While her expression and demeanor didn't give the pain away, the liquid in her mug suddenly spiking up and boiling more certainly did. The girl tried to hide it by taking another sip of her drink. She had no intention of going to that place, anyway. Let someone else take care of it, the village was long gone by now.

"I heard that there's a kraken at the ocean temple!"

"What? No way, you're lying!"

"No, I'm serious! My cousin's friend likes to go diving, and he just so happened to be at the cavern during the full moon, and..."

Arya perked up. This was something that she was interested in, too, and didn't have any painful memories associated with it. The girl listened carefully to this rumor, picking up all of the details that she could. She reminded herself that she needed to try to find out more about Lyla for Ireth while she was here, too, but so far she had been unable to find anything out. The girl settled in more, closing her eyes briefly while she listened to more talk around her, hoping that Ireth would arrive soon. If the elf wasn't there by one, Arya would have to assume the worst and leave the tavern to continue on without her.

Geir Brandr Ignatius

Location: Ocean City - Inn Near the Hospital

With: ??? / Near: ???

The teal haired man was sitting at a table in the common area of the inn he was staying at. He had managed to get his shirt back from Unila, as she had to wear hospital clothing until she was fully recovered. He had bought her a dress for when she was released from the hospital, too, to replace the one that had been shredded by the various obstacles in the mines, and it was waiting for her in her hospital room. The doctors had assured him that she would be released soon, but it wasn't soon enough.

The teal haired man looked at the letter that he held in his hands. It bore the mark of his patron. He had sent out two letters after arriving at this city. One, to his patron to update him on what all had happened. The other, to a dragon named Vikishvok, who was the one who had forged Geir's swords. The latter he had written to in order to request a repair. The smaller of his swords had broken at some point during his time in the mines (most likely from the ceiling collapsing on it the wrong way or something), and Geir wanted to get it fixed before moving on to the next place. The teal-haired man hoped that the other dragon would accept his request, and meet him in the town before he had to leave.

The letter from his patron, that was the reason for Geir's impatience. His patron wanted him to investigate the forest nearby, the one that everyone was saying had eerie music and weird things going on with time. Geir knew that his patron would not want him to wait around for long, and had sent the dragon a hefty amount of money to get his sword repaired quickly so he could get a move on, but... Geir hoped that Unila would be released soon. He really didn't want to say goodbye here, though he supposed that, if they did have to separate, she would likely get in less trouble because of him.

Letting out a frustrated sigh, Geir dropped the letter on the table and leaned back in his chair, closing his softly glowing gold eyes. He would have to leave the next day, for sure. Hopefully things would work out by then.

Evaryle Avelis

Location: Ocean City - Easternmost Tavern

With: No One / Near: Arya

Evaryle tossed his bag of money in the air and caught it as he walked towards the tavern. It had been a while since he had done any thieving from the rich. It was too easy, all he had to do was send a strong gust of wind when the fat-purse was paying, then run by and pick up the wallet. Evaryle had seen that man doing a few despicable things, so he just stole the man's money on a whim. Running from the guards was fun too. He had confused them countless times and even surprised them. It wasn't hard to get away, and they hadn't seen his face.

Evaryle walked into the tavern and quickly sat down at the bar. He then looked at the bartender and said,
"Why hello, isn't it a lovely day?"

The bartender grinned slightly and said, "Why yes it is. I heard one of the abusive rich men got robbed of his coin purse. However, if you're talking about the weather, there's a really horrible storm coming. Might have to do some work later before it comes. A risk of flooding is an unpleasant thought, I'll probably have to move stuff from my cellar and lock up business during the storm."

Evaryle pulled out a few coins and asked the bartender for an ale. When he got his beverage he then decided to drink alone for a little bit. He then began to pick up on the conversation about a kraken and the ocean temple. He just continued to drink as he listened in on the conversation in silence. He may not have been a treasure or monster hunter, but it was very intriguing. Maybe he would find something of interest if they kept running their mouths. He was very intrigued. If anything else was brought up, he might ask them directly. If they were talking publicly like this, then they shouldn't be afraid to tell.

Raiquen Nguyen

Many people stopped and stared as a winged boy, very obviously a hybrid, flew through the air just above the rooftops, flanked by two large ravens. Raiquen had been staying in the city for about a week now, mostly trying to avoid crowds, but was heading to a tavern that day to attempt to gather information about possible hiding places for the Lost Treasure. His expedition into the tombs hadn't uncovered anything, but he was mostly just glad that he and his allies had all made it out alive and mostly sane. They had discovered an elf woman outside when they had finally beaten the Mage and escaped, and all had ended up in the city. Raiquen had run into them occasionally since then, but wasn't sure if he would be continuing his adventures with a any of them. It wasn't worth thinking about at the moment, anyway. Hey, Raiquen, I think that's a tavern down there, Berhtram pointed out, bringing the hybrid back to the present. Nodding his head, he began his descent to the ground, landing clumsily in front of the door. Glad that he couldn't see the states of strangers around him, he attempted to open the door, succeeding after three tries.

The tavern quieted as Raiquen stepped inside. Berhtram and Merle hopped in after him, cawing and glancing nervously around. The bartender looked up, narrowed his eyes, and gestured towards them and the door. "We don't serve your kind here," he stated, his deep voice laced with disgust. "Not kids, not birds, and certainly not
hybrids. Get out." It took Raiquen a moment to register what had been said, but the bartender, unfortunately, took it to mean that he was ignoring him. "I said get out! I will not ruin have my reputation ruined by the rumor that I accepted your kind in my establishment!" He yelled. Raiquen flinched slightly, startled by the man's sudden anger. He began to back up towards the door.

"Sir, I... I'm sorry... didn't... want..." Raiquen began, but was unable to get the rest of the sentance out. Tears began to work their ways down his cheeks, so he turned around and pushed the wooden tavern door open, exiting carefully. He then stood outside, unsure what to do. He doubted that any other taverns would easy for him to get into. There were too many factors working against him. He sighed quietly to himself, leaning himself against the wall for a moment.

Arya's attention snapped to the door as it swung open, hoping that it would be Ireth coming to join her. The first time, it was an elf, but definitely not Ireth. This elf was male, and went straight to the bartender. The girl settled down again, continuing her listening in, when her eyes snapped towards the door a second time. This time, it also wasn't Ireth, though the person who had entered was definitely interesting. Black wings, pointed ears, there was absolutely no doubt that he was a hybrid. Arya tensed a little as the people around her grew silent, and the bartender began to yell at the boy to leave. The boy did leave, but it looked like several of the tavern goers were going to follow the boy, likely to beat him up, or try to kill him, or any of the other types of things that people did to hybrids; things that Arya knew all too much about. The girl quickly set down a few coins on the table as payment for her drinks, then stood and walked briskly towards the door, pushing her way out.

There he was. The boy was leaning against the wall of the tavern, and three large men, who had exited the tavern just before Arya had, were beginning to approach the boy.

"Hey you! Yeah, you, ya filthy hybrid!" The largest of the drunkards sneered, approaching the boy. "You think you can jus' show up 'ere an' walk in like ya own the place? Yer a monster, you know that? And you know what happens to monsters in the city? They get disposed of!" the man cracked his knuckles, drawing his fist back to prepare a punch.

Arya stepped into action, approaching behind the three drunkards, unseen due to their focus on the boy. Placing a well-timed kick directly to the back of the largest man's knee, Arya quickly stepped onto the man's shoulder as he fell, using him as a platform to launch herself over the three and land just behind the winged boy. Since she didn't have her scythe with her -- it was in her room at the inn -- Arya decided it would be best to run, rather than fight all three of the men. Grabbing the winged boy by the hand, she began to pull him along with her, hoping to get away from the men before they had a chance to recover.

Evaryle ran to the men and spontaneously punched one in a certain area which rendered him incapitated quickly. Then didn't seem to like him now and said, "Oi! You stinking elf! What the hell are you doing?!"

"Nothing pisses me off more than people like you. It's proof that everyone is discriminate. They just take it out on the mixed children rather than the lovers. You hate me yes?" Evaryle said as he stared them down in a way to show he wasn't joking. They gritted their teeth and began to charge, but Evaryle raised his hand and a powerful gust of wind. Sending them back towards the wall. He then said, "Don't hide it. You hate all of the other races. You hate the dragons, the elves, and the enkidu. You just take it out on the mixed children."

"Don't you dare talk in our place you stupid elf!" One of the men said as they tried to grab Evaryle, but he just jumped up and onto the man's head which sent him face first to the ground. He got up quickly and tried to square punch Evaryle in the face and received a quick jab to the diaphragm. With the wind knocked out of him for a moment Evaryle didn't take time to waste and made three quick hand signs. In an instant, the area was covered in a black mist. He could see clearly, but no one else within the spell could. Evaryle then ran to the fleeing hybrid and girl. Once he was next to them, he said, "Follow me! I'll take you both somewhere safe."

Raiquen Nguyen

Raiquen stiffened as he heard a mocking voice coming from the direction of the door. Berhtram and Merle puffed their feathers out, cawing a warning. The men obviously wanted to pick a fight. Raiquen couldn't help but tremble a little at their harsh words, and was just beginning to back up when he heard the smack of a someone hitting someone else. One of the men cried out and fell, a blue haired girl using him as a springboard. She landed behind Raiquen, the ravens calling out an alarm, and quickly grabbed his hand, pulling him along. "Wh-what?" He cried out in alarm, immediately falling over, as was to be expected. Simultaneously, an elf man exited the tavern and launched himself at the drunkards. Raiquen was a little shocked; no one usually cared about hybrids like him.

Raiquen, the girl holding your hand, Merle realized in surprise, I think she might be a hybrid too! She looks like a dragon, but her eyes don't glow as they should, and I'm not quite getting the normal feeling around her. I'm not really sure why the elf would help, though; his kind never faces discrimination, and generally seems well-liked. Dunno why he'd ruin his reputation. Raiquen shrugged and was just beginning to return to his feet when a stray gust of wind from the elf caught his open wings and pushed him back over. Despite the seriousness of the situation, Berhtram audibly snickered. Grumbling to himself, the winged boy got up, listening to the elf's far fetched taunts.

This elf certainly seems to be a bit of an oddball, he decided. He was about to say something else, too, but the ravens called out in surprise as a black smoke covered the area. Suddenly the elf was next to them, telling them to follow him. Raiquen tried to turn to run, but, of course, couldn't tell which way he was supposed to go, and hesitated. At that moment, one of the drunkards grabbed his ankle, knocking him, once again, to the ground. He struggled desperately, and the ravens tried to attack the man, but he was pulled backwards towards the drunkards, one of which drew his arm back to punch the boy in the face.

The blue-haired girl's attempt at a quick getaway failed, as the boy simply fell instead of running with her. Shit, she thought, leaning down to try to get him on his feet quickly while an elf was distracting the men. The boy was almost to his feet when the gust of wind hit, knocking him over again. The wind even made Arya stumble, though it didn't knock her off her feet. Finally, though, the winged boy was standing again, then there was darkness. The elf called for them to follow him, and Arya moved to grab the hybrid boy's hand again to lead him out of there, but once she had grabbed his hand, it was yanked out of her grasp as the boy was knocked once more to the ground.

Arya cursed under her breath and followed the sound of the struggle, her steps quick on the ground -- she found herself wishing she could see better in the damned mist. As nice of a sentiment as it was, right now it was certainly hindering her ability to see where the drunkards wer--smack. Arya had run right into one of the large men, knocking him off balance. She blinked, trying to make out their forms in the mist. She could see their general outlines, and could see that one was preparing a punch. Quickly moving back into action, Arya tackled the man as he started swinging, his fist connecting with her ribs, but her body knocking him down to the ground. Arya coughed as the wind was knocked out of her, making her unable to react to the man's next move.

"Why you little--" the large man cut off as he grabbed the girl who had tackled him by the throat, rolling over to pin her under him. It was difficult to make out in the dark mist, but having the girl this close to him, he could make out her features more clearly. Blue hair, red eyes with no glow to them... "You! You're the hybrid bitch who broke my nose two years ago! Fucking abomination!" the man snarled, his grip tightening around the girl's throat.

Arya coughed as the hand tightened around her throat, her armored hand moving up to try to pry the man's fingers away from her so she could breathe, though it wasn't much use. Her body moved to try to push the man off of her, but even with her strength, it was to no avail, as she was pinned to the ground.

The other two men were focused on the other hybrid and the elf who had caused the mist. One held the winged boy down, preparing to beat him, while the other stood in front of the two dealing with the hybrids, fists clenched as he called out, "Where are ya, you stinking elf? You wanna fight, do ya?"

Evaryle cursed. Why didn't they just run? He was right there. He then listened to the sound of coughing and choking from the girl and he felt his blood boil. He sneaked around the man easily in the dark and once behind him, poisoned him asleep. He cursed again as he thought of the situation. He silently apologized in his head to the winged boy, but the girl was at risk of death being held down by the throat.

Evaryle ran to the man holding the blue-haired girl down and pulled out his hunting knife. He would hate to kill this man, but he would also hate to use magic unnecessarily. However, this wasn't a situation in anyone's favor. No matter who one this battle, it could end with both sides being punished. Evaryle noticd the spell weakening and the mist around him slowly began to clear to where he could see the man and vice versa,
"Your friend is napping, not permanently, but momentarily. Now, unhand that girl! If you have the intention of killing, I won't hold back either." He had a dead serious look in his eyes. In them, there was a clear determination to defend these people. He also showed no signs of panic and made it clear his threat was not empty. He would kill this man if he had to. He couldn't take a hit and couldn't risk being pinned down, but he shouldn't use more magic after casting this spell.

"Do you know your position? I was defending someone you were attacking. Throughout this whole time I haven't used lethal force until you started choking this girl. If you come at me with lethal force, I will not hesitate to use lethal fore in return. Even if guards come, it isn't unlikely that you will get in trouble. So back off, you and your friends!"

Evaryle stared the man down and waited for his response. His dominant hand was empty and his left hand was holding the knife. Even though he could use the left almost as well. He hated these men. He wanted to kill this man, but he would choose not to. After all, it would be a bad idea to kill a pure blood defending hybrids.

After arriving at the city he was called to he over heard a group of people talking of an ancient weapon in a volcano? Vikishvok decided to make note of which volcano they were talking about and go exploring it later considering volcanoes where his home turf. As he continued about the city he found a inn he could stay at. He goes in and orders a room for a few nights along with a barrel of water to be taken to his room. After got that arranged he paid a guy to find Geir and tell him where he was at and to bring his broken equipment with him. He normally didn't leave his home for repair jobs but he hadn't had much business in forever and thought he should get out and maybe advertise some or at least get his name out again about his excellent forging skills. He sat in a corner of the inn's dinner checking the inventory of his travel pack while he awaited for his customers arrival.

Keir Sullivan

Keir sat in the corner of the common room of the inn he was staying at, observing those passing by. A fireplace burned near him. The room was fairly small, only fitting a few wooden tables and chairs for socializing between the guests. A reception desk sat against one wall, and stairs led up to the floor above, which held additional rooms. The common area was filled with all kinds, some waiting for others, some chatting, and others simply sitting and watching, like him. Keir glanced towards the door occasionally, checking to see if Arya had returned with Ireth, who had, worryingly, been missing. He wondered briefly what everyone else was up to at the moment. Then he shrugged, not finding it to be particularly important. His eyes wandered over to a few people who weren't paying much attention to their purses, and he considered them for a moment before sighing and deciding that he probably shouldn't cause any trouble when there were people depending on him. Eventually, he settled back into his chair to wait.

Raiquen Nguyen

Raiquen continued to struggle against the drunk man, who had pinned him to the ground and was beginning to beat him. He was on his back, and the man's knee was placed on his stomach to keep him down. The man punched him repeatedly in the face, causing his nose to bleed, and then in the stomach, winding him. Fortunately, however, the beating didn't last long, as the mist had cleared enough for the ravens to see. They promptly launched themselves at the drunk man's face, beating him with their wings and pecking at him. This knocked him off balance just enough for Raiquen to scramble away and get to his feet. You okay, kid? Berhtram asked, his voice concerned despite the use of a joke that he knew Raiquen was annoyed by.

Yeah, I'm fine. It only hurts a little, and I doubt it could be life threatening. You said they didn't have weapons, right? He assured the ravens. The hybrid then spread his wings, bringing them together in front of him to create a powerful gust of wind that blew the drunk back a bit. This gave the ravens the perfect opportunity to deal more damage; Berhtram bit at the right hand and Merle, who was furious that the man had attacked Raiquen, flew at his face and plucked out his eye, swallowing it whole.

Ha! That should teach you to mess with our friend! Merle exclaimed savagely, though she knew that the man, who was now screaming and putting one hand over the hole where his eye used to be, could not hear or understand her. Raiquen couldn't help but smirk slightly at this. He was very glad to have Berhtram and Merle around, though; they were the perfect team, and would protect each other no matter what. It didn't take long for the man to run away from them after that. People who had an eye plucked out and eaten generally didn't stick around long, as Merle had discovered in the past. Once they were sure that the man was gone, they turned their attention to the two who had tried to help them.

The man pinning Arya down glared at the elf speaking to him. "Guards? Hah, they'll be happy to be rid of these abominations! Especially this one 'ere!" the man's hand tightened further around the girl's neck. Upon seeing one of his companions passed out on the ground, and the other getting his eye pecked out, the man growled. He just needed a few moments longer, then the hybrid bitch would be taken care of. "You're a purebred, ain't ya? Why're you defending these monsters, eh? You should do the city a service and just be rid of 'em--" the man's words cut off, and his hand loosened around the hybrid girl's neck. Several blood red spikes protruded now from the man's body, sticking out from his neck, chest, side, anywhere that they had a clear shot of. With a small gurgle, the man's body went limp, dead, and the spikes lost their shape, pooling on the ground and on the girl whom the body was laying on top of.

Arya struggled against the hand around her neck, the heavy weight on her body. She couldn't move, she couldn't breath, her vision was getting fuzzy.

Kill him! Let me out, I'll kill him! Don't be stupid, you're going to die! A voice inside Arya's head called desperately.

The girl managed to glance to the side at the faint sound of screaming. It probably wasn't actually faint, but it sounded so far away...There, on the ground, there was blood. Liquid. It boiled up in reaction to her. The girl's hand fell away from her throat, as she reached towards the pool of blood. It rose up at her command, small blobs floating in the air, then formed into sharp spikes and hurtled towards the man on top of Arya, piercing him in several vital areas.

Air. Thankful, wonderful air. The girl shakily gasped in breath, hand moving up to heal her partially-crushed windpipe. The blue light flowed from her hand, and there was a lot of pain for a moment, then her throat was healed. The girl took deeper gasps of air now, allowing it to fill her lungs. A few more deep breaths, and the girl shoved the dead body off of her, slowly sitting up. She was dizzy, and she was bloody again. She really had to stop using blood as a weapon, it was so messy...some of the blood ran off of her clothing at her command, but it left behind a red, sticky residue. Finally getting air back to her brain, the dizziness slowly faded away, and the girl started to realize their situation. They needed to get out of there, quickly, before someone saw the dead body and called the guards. The girl attempted to hurry to her feet, only to have her vision go black and cause her to fall back down until her vision cleared. Apparently, she wasn't ready to stand yet, but she needed to move, to get out of there somehow. The girl, determined, forced herself up again, using the wall beside her for support. She needed to get the hybrid boy out of the street, too, before they were attacked again. Ireth hadn't made it to the tavern, but Arya could no longer wait around for her. It was time to leave. "We need to go," Arya said through gasping breaths, attempting to start walking. She stumbled a little, but caught herself, keeping her hand on the wall to stabilize herself. Her inn wasn't too far away. She just needed to get to it, back to her companions, where she would, hopefully, be safe.

"Hey, hey!" Evaryle said as he ran to the girl and stabilized her. "Don't push yourself! I know it's bad, but I don't see any witnesses, yet." The smoke hadn't completely cleared and no one could see the inside yet. "But you shouldn't go back to the tavern just yet, you're a prime suspect the moment they find these bodies."

Evaryle cursed and looked around. One man's eye was pecked out, but he was still alive. One man was asleep, and not dead. If they were tried for murder, they might execute him and these two hybrids. He needed to think fast. He needed to find a way to be rid of the men as witnesses and leave before his mist cleared. He turned his head to the boy. If only they hadn't drawn blood. This situation, three men, two hybrids, and a pure-blood elf armed to the teeth with poisons and blades. One death, one permanent injury, and one unconscious.

"We need to leave the area entirely or kill these men and leave," Evayle said to the girl and the boy here. He then helped the girl off the ground and supported her. She nearly blacked out. No one, no one was blameless or innocent now, but the men would probably get off scott free while these two hung from the gallows or a cross. "Listen, if you're stuff is still in the tavern, don't go back now. We need to get out before they find us," Evaryle said to Arya. He then began to lead her to a nearby alleyway. He pulled his cloak hood up and pulled up his scarf up to his nose.

Geir looked up as a man approached him. It seemed that Vikishvok had arrived in the city. Good, Geir had been wondering if he would actually come. The dragon stood and made his way to his room at the inn, grabbing the thinner sword from his belongings. It was currently wrapped up in a cloth to keep the broken parts together. His other, broader sword was in its sheath on his back. That one, thankfully, had not broken.

Broken sword in tow, the dragon made his out of the inn near the hospital, and towards an inn around the other side of the city. Why'd he have to pick an inn that was so far away? the dragon sighed to himself, annoyed at the inconvenience. It took him a few minutes, but he made it to the other inn, walking in to the small common room. A few tables were set out, with people sitting around, ordering food, doing regular inn-type things. Geir spotted Vikis sitting at the corner table, and headed over to greet him. Setting the cloth with the broken sword in it on the table in front of him, the dragon spoke, "Thanks for coming out here to meet me. I'd have flown to you, but the doctors told me I wasn't allowed to fly for a few days." The teal-haired dragon grinned at man in front of him, pulling out the chair across from Vikis and sitting down before plopping a bag full of coins on the table. "I'll buy you a nice meal to make up for it. Oh, and sweet rolls! You still like those, right?" the dragon asked, glowing gold eyes watching for the other dragon's reaction. He was also keeping an eye on the room around him, though it didn't really seem like it. To the average onlooker, he seemed perfectly relaxed and non-attentive.

((Made it the inn that Keir's at, because why not? Figured I'd tempt Keir with money
:P Haha))

Lyla who now looked like Ireth thanks to the elf's shadow. It was good thing to because the shadow knew what Ireth and Arya had previously discussed. She made her way into the Ocean city and searched every tavern until finally she headed to the last one. She came inside looking for the blue haired girl but was distracted hearing a commotion going on outside. "I wonder..." she whispered and looked back seeing a fight begin and move away from the tavern. She ran over to try and keep up and managed to catch up with them in time to see Arya healing herself.

Ireth looked at the other elf and then back at Arya "Looks like i'm a little late." she said walking over to her and looked to the elf as he spoke of killing and running. "What happened?" she asked.

Tavern? Why would I go back to the tavern? Arya thought, confused. She was still trying to regain her bearings. The girl felt herself being lifted a bit, and internally started to panic. The pool of blood on the ground began to boil violently as she attempted to pull away.

Kill the other men. They'll come after you. You have to get rid of the witnesses, all of them. The elf will just betray you when it comes down to it, anyway, the voice in Arya's head spoke once more.

Arya's darker side tended to be a lot more vocal when she was in danger of dying, that was for sure. The girl tuned the voice out. No, she wasn't going to kill more. She wasn't a monster, she wasn't going to prove them right. Finally, Arya thought to speak. "Inn," she said quietly, still attempting to distance herself from the elf. She needed to check on the other hybrid, she needed to get him to safety, and she needed to--the girl paused, hearing the words of the companion she had been waiting for. "Ireth! Help," she requested, motioning towards the winged boy with the ravens. Arya was still distracted, still recovering from the attack, she wasn't really paying any attention to the auras around any of the others right now, meaning that she wouldn't pick up on the fact that Ireth's aura was different.

Vikis looked up at the dragon that approached and sat down across from him setting down some cloth covered object (which he assumed was the broken sword) and a bag of coins. He listened as the fellow dragon spoke, vaguely recognizing as a past customer but doesn't remember anything about him. He smiled at his offer "Well you seemed to remember how I do business in a sort, that is good. Though its been so long I almost forgot about you. What was your name again?" He asked picking up the cloth and unraveling it to examine the sword. "And it seems you managed to break one of my swords, what where you fighting with it? Normally when I see my blades again its for minor repairs or maintenance but this the first I ever seen one broken. Hmmmmmm........ ima have to forge a new sword, sadly I make my swords a certain way so they wont break as easily as other common sword makers though sadly this process make the sword impossible to repair properly. Though I never had any worries about it till now. Lucky I brought some forging materials with me, unless you have something specific in mind?" he asked curiously. "Also don't worry about being charged extra, for I do love forging new weapons though I might have to ask a favor of you if that's okay? Oh! and before I forget yes I do still love sweet rolls." He gave a warm smile, happy do business face to face rather than by mail. He had gotten awfully lonely in his cave in the Lava Pits.

Raiquen Nguyen

The ravens observed the bloody scene, describing it to Raiquen with some measure of sadistic pride. They had done their job protecting the boy well, and Merle had even gotten to eat an eye. All in all, the two birds saw it as an excellent encounter. Raiquen, however, knew that it was likely to cause trouble. Oh boy, this is pretty bad, he told them. They were, of course, confused by the statement, so he was forced to continue it. One man is dead, you've eaten the eye of one, which may be delicious but illegal, and the third got beaten up. They could easily say that we started it; who would trust the word of a hybrid over two purebreeds? While I could easily fly away, these two can't get out of trouble in such a simple way.

Hmm, that does sound like a problem, Merle decided. All of these laws are just a pain. Ravens are perfectly fine without them! Raiquen decided against mentioning the fact that ravens didn't have the same moral principles. He was just about to begin his escape with his new allies when another voice startled him. The newcomer, an elf, seemed to know the hybrid girl, which was a relief. Her presence was not, however, relieving to the ravens, who puffed out their feathers and backed away from the elf woman. I don't like her, Merle warned. Something's not right. She looks like an elf, but I'm not getting that feeling from her. I don't want to be near her; the exact opposite is true. I want to be far away right now. She shuddered slightly, her ruffled feathers making the action appear somewhat ridiculous.

Raiquen immediately decided that this couldn't be ignored, not in the the current situation. "Not... right," he tried to tell the hybrid girl and male elf. "Animals... like elves. They," he gestured to Berhtram in Merle, "scared... her." He then pointed towards the she-elf in question. He didn't know if anyone would believe him, but he had to try; the ravens' instincts were almost always right.

Ireth's shadow glared slightly at Raiquen and the ravens before helping Arya up. "It's okay, i'm here." she told her reassuringly. It was weird though... Ireth was so nice and well Lyla wasn't. "I see you found yourself some trouble with..." she began pointing to her new companions with a questioning look. She pulled Arya slightly away from them ready to defend her if need be.

Keir Sullivan

Keir had been trying incredibly hard to resist the temptation of all of the money around him. He really had. He had convinced himself that it was better to just sit and people-watch. This activity, however, inevitably drew his eyes back to the pouches containing money that people carried. Many were worn at the belt and seemed filled to the brim, with a pleasant jingling noise escaping them. The final straw came when a man with teal hair entered the inn and sat down across from another man, placing two things on the table, one of which was a bag so stuffed with gold that it looked like it would explode. It was impossible not to look in that direction; between the man's teal hair and the bag of money, the eye couldn't help but be drawn over. It seemed that some sort of business was being carried out, with the customer apparently being very well-off. It couldn't hurt the man if some of his money was taken off of his hands, could it?

Keir began to work his way as inconspicuously as he could across the room. His bare feet made little to no noise on the stone floor, and he pretended to chat with one person in one place and be interested in some activity at the next. Keir hoped to do his best to blend into the crowd. Multiple times he got close to the teal haired man but would drift away again, attempting to appear uninterested. It seemed to be a fairly common trick for thieves, but only those who had practiced the trade were likely to know it. Eventually, on his third pass, he pretended to trip over a chair that he had moved over on an earlier pass. Keir careened into the table, knocking over a few other things in the process to cause as much chaos as possible. He made sure that the bag of coins also toppled off of the table. "I'm so, so sorry," he told the teal haired man apologetically from his position on the floor. "I really should watch where I'm going. Sorry again, and excuse me." He subtly slid the bag of coins behind him and began to stand up.

( guess I took too long to post...)

Evaryle looked at the elf that just entered and felt some relief. This person had allies they could rely on...for now. But he quickly noticed that the man he had incapacitated was gone. That man must have ran off. He looked at the elf and sighed. He pulled down his scarf and made his presence less erratic. He then said in a calm but serious voice,
"One of the men ran off, I'd suggest we go hide. If we're caught we're in for a lot of trouble. I have a place we can hide out for a little bit. So, if you can follow me, I would appreciate it. If not, I'll provide whatever assistance I can. After all, we might want to get out of here before people find us with this dead body."

Evaryle looked down at the man the hybrid girl had killed not a moment ago. He sighed and took his waterskin from his belt and offered it to the girl who had almost died. He was doing this out of pity and by nature. He decided against killing the other men now. One was gone, not like it would help at this point. He felt a bit like an idiot there, but that couldn't be helped. He then heard the shouting voiced of guards and sighed with frustration. If they didn't leave, he would take the blame. He didn't care anymore. The fortunate part is that they still had a window of escape, if they were willing to take it. What a mess, it was just like that time with the bandits he had not too long back before coming to the city.

The real Ireth had been taken to the hospital and was patched up. She left against the advise of the nurses but she couldn't stay long she had to find Arya before Lyla did. The elf's pace was slow and she had a terrible headache as she searched a few places, she couldn't remember where she was to meet Arya and this made her worry more which increased her head ache. Giving up for the day growing tired she stumbled into the inn taking in all who was there. She saw a teal haired man and sighed not seeing a blue haired girl. "How hard could she be to find." she muttered to herself and sat down at a table. She more like slumped down as she rested on the table her head in her arms. She didn't care what people would think it was definitely an odd sight for an elf look rather pathetic. However, she hurt from the stab wound and from her head. She looked up again and her eyes glanced at every person in the room despite her head ache she was going to try and get in their heads to see if they had at least spotted the blue haired hybrid so that she could get an idea if Arya was even there.

Geir laughed at Vikis's lack of memory of him. It wasn't surprising, Geir had only met the man twice, and the other dragon surely had many more customers that just him. "I guess I must have put it through quite a bit! I mean, a whole mine did kind of collapse on it...twice...and I may have stepped on it in my dragon form on accident...maybe..." the man gave an embarrassed chuckle as he moved his hand up to rub the back of his head. He kept an eye on the man approaching the table, noticing several tricks of the trade that he himself had used when he was a young kid who stole for his meals. He hoped that the man wouldn't be stupid enough to actually try to steal from him, but thieves were rather opportunistic, and there was quite a bit of gold on the table...

"I guess, if you can't fix it, a new one will have to do. Can you make it look about the same, though? I've kind of grown fond of the design," Geir requested as he motioned for the waitress to come over so he could order a sweet roll for the dragon. The waitress walked off with the order, and shortly afterward the man who Geir had been keeping an eye on made his move, faking a trip to knock into their table. The teal-haired dragon simply extended out his leg to block the man's path, drawing his large broadsword and pointing it at the man. "Leave the coins, and anything else you took," he instructed, his face clearly showing his annoyance as his bright eyes stared intensely at the man.
