Fantasy The Lost Treasure of Creation

As Geir requested her aid to hold off Auluua, Lani nodded in affirmation, not even flinching when the first arrow was sent her way. Raising a hand Lani didn't blink once as she emitted a small burst of air from her palm that sent the arrow spinning off into a wall, shattering on impact. The obviously possessed elven girl launched herself backwards before notching and firing another pair of arrows, the young hybrid dodging both easily before drawing her own blade.

"Auluua, if you can hear me, know that I don't intend too much harm, but you have to be stopped, okay?"

Her dominant left leg propelling herself forward Lani spun to the left as another arrow came at her, practically landing on all fours before rolling again, hearing fibre tear as a second arrow only just missed her neck. Utilising her unique skill with air and dance Lani began a spectacular and frightful number of flips and spin s as she both dodged arrows and closed the gap between her and Auluua, and once that gap was minimal she slashed out with her dagger and cut the bowstring in twain.

Her next hit would come as a boosted knee to the poor elf's stomach, driving the wind from her before Lani leapt upon her back and held her arm around Auluua's neck until the woman finally passed out. Secretly Lani was pleased it had been Auluua she'd had to fight since it was so much easier to bring down an opponent solely focused on range than it was on close quarters.

Rising up from Auluua and returning Geir and Ila, Lani didn't even notice that for all the adrenaline pumping, and all the arrows dodge, her cowl had been near ruined and hung down between her shoulder blades as her ears stood tall.

"She unconscious for now, so we should be okay. Still, we need to get us all out of here soon, or find and kill what has decided to toy with us."

Ireth raised a brow she wondered what he thought of all of them. She didn't know much about the group either but to assume they were nothing more than thieves and troublemakers angered her. "Perhaps I should begin my search for Lyla early... the thought of her out there..." she said trying to hide the fact that she was annoyed with Pansa's notion. She relaxed slightly seeing that he ran up ahead. She spoke to no one in particular as she continued with the group she made a deal with Arya and wasn't about to break it.

The Puppet Master

Location: Mines?

The laughter from before rang out even louder now, as if whomever was pulling the strings here thought that there was something hilarious going on. Auluua's body started pulling up on its own into a standing position behind where Lani was now. The girl didn't have a working bow any more, but that certainly did not make her useless; she did have some useful powers, after all. A rumbling noise began to sound throughout the cavern, as the voice from before spoke again. "I really must thank you, this little doll is so much easier to play with when she stops resisting my control," the voice laughed again as the rumbling became louder, then the cavern's ceilings began to be broken through by the roots of plants, rapidly growing down into the cavern. Debris started to collapse towards the group again, as plant roots began hurtling towards them, threatening to impale or knock down anything in their paths. To top it off, darkness began to settle around the group, covering even the light from Geir's flames, until the caverns were pitch black and practically impossible to see in.

Geir Brandr Ignatius

Location: Mining Village/Mines

With: Unila, Lani, Auluua, Leh, Irha

Geir had managed to finish bandaging Unila up, thanks to Lani's distraction. The dragon looked over at her, blinking a bit at the sight of her ears. That was unexpected. He supposed it would explain a few things, but there wasn't time to ask her about it just yet. "We should leave, Unila's too injured to continue on--" he started to reply to Lani, getting cut off by the loud laughter and sudden rumbling of the cavern. Oh shit, he thought as his eyes widened, looking up to see tree roots breaking through the ceiling and heading for them, along with rocks and debris now falling towards them once again. Geir grabbed hold of Unila as best as he could and as quickly as he could, carrying her with him as he jumped out of the way of the first few of the deadly roots. The room was darkening now as he spoke, "We need to leave now." Bracing himself for what was surely going to hurt, the man began to change forms, growing bigger and more dragon-like. There was no way that the cavern could hold the full size of his dragon form, but he was partially counting on that. Once he was big enough, he positioned his body over Lani and Unila to help protect them from the falling debris and plants, as well as to protect them from his next move. Beginning to reach the ceiling now, the dragon opened his giant maw and let out several fireballs, each exploding against the ceiling above him, though they were hardly visible in the suffocating darkness. He hoped that the fireballs, along with the roots from the plants above, would weaken the ceiling enough for him to break through.

He was large enough to have to duck his head now, his form already completely dragon-like, except for the sizing. Gently grabbing Unila and Lani (if they would let him) and scooping them up -- he remembered that most hybrids didn't have their own beast form to change into, and figured that Irha would be able to change on her own (he still hadn't realized that she was a hybrid) and take Leh to safety herself -- he held them carefully as his back now pushed against the ceiling, the roots stabbing into him also causing him pain. A loud, pained roar escaped the dragon, shaking the cavern before the ceiling finally began to give way, crumbling down around him. Finally, the dragon was able to push through the last of the earth above him, breaking free into the outside world. Stretching out his wings and shaking to free himself of some of the remaining rubble, the dragon flapped his powerful wings a few times, lifting up into the air and bursting out of the mines, attempting to bring the two girls to safety away from the swirling darkness below them. Laughter flowed up following the dragon's ascent, but whomever had been attacking them in the mines seemed to have no interest in pursuing them out in the open.

Returning to land, the ground shook under the large, teal dragon's feet, as he gently opened his hand to set down anyone he might have saved from the mines.

Mavndrus and Tioni Favehari and Leandor Cyrus

Tioni smiled and graciously shook Eirhodeigbs hand. He was a little proud that the man knew who he was and complemented his ability. He glanced over to Mavndrus who seemed to be getting madder every second they stayed in the mine. "Thanks for the complement, Now Mr. Guardian when i activate my ability its gonna feel like a thousand centipedes are crawling inside of your body but only for the first ten seconds." Leandor and Mavndrus had already been through this a few times. So they prepared themselves and each placed a hand on Tionis shoulder motionibg for Eirho to do the same. Tioni breathed in and slowly a his body began to change, turning black and wavering like a shadow. As it crept up his body it began to do the same to Everyone Mavndrus cringed a bit but made sure not let go. "Everyone ready?" The group passes through the wall into the section where the bats were burbt to crisp and then where the lion like creature had been demolished by leandor. "Your work i preaume" Tioni said playfully towards Leandor. They stepped out of the cave and Tioni realeased the shadows from there bodies. Mavndrus sighed and ran his fingers through his hair smiling towards his brother "Alright Leandor, bring the carriage around please. I dont want to do anymore walking." Leandor bowed and walked away to where the first entered the town.

Kokoro Himura

Location: Desert Tomb

With: Raiquen, Eri, Thomas

Kokoro tilted her head. A reserve? She must have a lot of magic, she thought to herself, again a bit amazed. She wasn't used to being around people with so much magic, it was honestly a little bit intimidating to her. "My sense of smell is starting to come back, I can help you search for traps. Between the two of us, we should be able to catch and disarm any we may come across," she reassured Eri, her ears pointing forward so she could try to hear any movement coming up. It was time to move on.

They continued searching through the tomb for a while, dodging or disarming traps as they went and occasionally having to fight off draugrs. They had searched much of the tomb, and were nearing the king's chamber. Suddenly, Kokoro tensed, smelling something ahead of them in the room. Something alive, unlike the many draugrs they had encountered in the tomb so far. "Eri, there's someone ahead," she warned in her growling voice, hair rising and tiger form tensing for battle.

((skipping ahead a little bit so that we can get Thomas and Raiquen back into the real world! We have the option of having this be a short dungeon with the mage as the main boss (this allows us to basically have everyone in the overworld for a bit, in case anyone wants to get into a particular group or with a particular person, or just wants to mix it up), or continuing on for a while longer and possibly running into a different enemy/boss (allows for more exploration within this particular group). What do you guys think?))

Arya Tinuviel

Location: Bath House

With: Ireth, Keir, Pansa

Arya glanced over at Ireth as she spoke. "Do you think that would help? Searching for her early, I mean," the blue haired girl inquired, pausing before she clarified her concerns. "I won't stop you if that's what you want, but do you think it would be helpful to go after her before you've restocked on supplies and had time to rest? You might get burnt out before you find her, but you also might find her before she's had a chance to recover." With that comment, she returned her gaze to the area ahead of her, navigating her way towards the onsen that Pansa had gone ahead towards. She wasn't sure how she would feel about Ireth leaving the group. She had made a deal with the elf that they would help each other, but that didn't necessarily mean that they had to be in constant contact with each other. Maybe it would be best for them to split up, and each search for both Lyla and the treasure separately, and meeting up to brief each other on any information they could obtain later on. That would almost require even more trust to be extended to the elf, however...if they were looking together, they would both be around to hear any information that was gathered. If they were separate, though, they would have to trust each others' word about what they had heard about what was happening. Honestly, both options scared Arya quite a bit, and she was thankful that the rest of the blood that had followed her was gone by now, dried by the hot desert sun.

"Finally..." Arya muttered as they made it to the onsen. It looked...run down. Abandoned, at the very least, though that actually made Arya more comfortable, since that meant less people who could try to hurt her. Her dark red eyes scanned the area, noting that there were hints of a few traps that had recently been disarmed. She wondered how many she had missed compared to the ones that she could see. Walking towards the building itself, Arya pushed the door open, blinking as she was met with the sight of bladed pendulums swinging dangerously back and forth. Oh for the love of...I just want to take a bath, the girl thought, exasperated. Her expression didn't show her annoyance, however, as she took a deep breath and began to make her way across the pendulum trap, starting and stopping in time with the blades to keep herself from getting hit. Once she was on the other side, she would look for a way to turn the trap off so that the others wouldn't have to deal with it. She was definitely going to smack Pansa for leaving that trap on, however, when he had so obviously disabled all of the other traps around the area. After getting past the last pendulum, Arya looked to the side, seeing a lever on the side that should stop the swinging blades. She grabbed hold of it with one hand, pulling it to the off position, and watched as the blades swung to a stop.

Ireth looked at Arya and nodded at her statements as she thought it over. It was a truthful notion the girl gave regarding Lyla. It was true that they all needed rest, she had a hard night previously and was tired as ever and low on provisions. She remained silent though as she thought over what to do, "Arya..." she began but then grew silent seeing the bladed pendulums "You got to be kidding me." she muttered and watched as Arya moved carefully forwarded. The elf couldn't help but be glad that it wasn't her moving between the blades.

She smiled seeing the blades come to a stop and she moved through nodding to Arya not about to continue what she was saying. "I'm ready for a hot nice bath." she whispered.

Keir Sullivan

Keir listened to the conversation between Arya and Ireth as he walked. To him, it seemed like it would make more sense to wait before seeking Lyla out. After all, she had been badly injured, and would probably be well hidden until she could recover. Once she was back at full strength, she was more likely to move around out in the open, even if that meant it would be harder to fight her. As he waited, curious what Ireth's response would be, he realized that they had reached the onsen. It was somewhat farther from the desert, so trees surrounded it, reaching high into the air and cloaking the area in shade. The ground was covered in their fallen leaves, but it was obvious that traps of some sort had been disabled in places. Keir made sure to watch his step as they approached the building. The onsen itself looked run down and abandoned, with multiple areas in disrepair. Still, it looked like it would serve well enough as a resting place.

The group stepped into the entrance hall, immediately spotting a row of swinging pendulums blocking their path. Keir was more than a little glad when Arya stepped up to deal with the problem, and he could tell that Ireth was, too. He watched as Arya got through, seemingly with relative ease, and switched off the trap. Once the pendulums had come to a halt, he moved to the other side. He was rather interested to see what else this place had to offer.

Eri Zabelan
Following slowly through the tunnels, Eri started to get a small sense of claustraphobia. Many dragons had the sensation, gladly hers was not as strong. Shaking it away, she followed Kokoro. Then she almost froze, she never had clastraphobia before. It must be the black mage. Or whatever kind of dark creature that lurked, and has disabled her friends into a world only they could see.

"Eri, there's someone ahead." Kokoro's voice snapped her out of her little sorrow. Eri quickly narrowed her eyes and listened. Sure enough a fifth breath was heard, slow, and out of sync with the other familiar four. Slowly releasing her hold on Raiquen, he settled to the ground. Eri stepped forward only slightly, so that her toes touched Raiquen's side. She didn't want to lose sight of him or the other two, until she knew what they were fighting. "Might you be brave enough to reveal yourself under true light?" Eri called out to the fifth.

(I realized that Irha's CS says she lacks the ability to fly, so I'm just going to add this on here as a short description of how they got out of the mines...)

--Irha and Leh--

Irha and Leh had grabbed onto the teal dragon's leg as he broke free of the cavern, holding on tightly as the dragon flew out of the mines and landed safely on the outside. Once they were on the ground again, the two let go, backing away from the other three and off to the side. It seemed that the two were discussing amongst themselves what to do next.

Pansa smiled slightly under his mask when he heard the swinging pendulums in the foyer stop suddenly. The fact they could survive those meant they weren't totally incompetent. He hoped they would take that trap seriously and be very careful as the onsen was meant to be a training ground for the most skilled ninjas. He barred off a door near the back to the battle room as to have a place to train. He didnt want his fellow travellers to meet an untimely death.

He chuckled as he laid out towels for his allies as a medical kit he found for Keir. He scribbled a note to the man stating it was a professional kit not one of his own. Hopefully the man would use it. He decided a prank was in order so he climbed into the rafters of the roof suspended over the hot springs and waited there patiently them to come into the hot springs area.

Arya looked back to see Ireth and Keir make it across the now-still pendulum trap. Good. The girl nodded in response to Ireth's comment; a nice, hot bath sounded wonderful right now. The girl stepped forward a bit, unsure of where, exactly, she was supposed to go. She had never been to a bath house before, and wasn't really sure what to expect. Obviously, a bath, but other than that, she had no clue. Hesitantly, she moved onward, looking around for Pansa. Of course, the man wasn't anywhere to be seen in this area. His absence made Arya a bit uncomfortable, actually, as she liked knowing where the people around her were...she was less likely to be stabbed in the back that way. The girl closed her eyes, chastising herself for the thought, before opening them again and forcing herself to continue onward.

She soon found the area where a few towels were laid out, as well as a medical kit for Keir. Arya looked around, trying to discern where it was she was supposed to go now. Certainly she couldn't be expected to change in front of everyone? And the bath part, was it some sort of communal bath? Did people actually do that? The girl struggled to keep her neutral expression, suppressing a blush as she tried to figure out if there was some sort of changing room divided by gender at the very least. Would the bath area itself have something separating the genders as well? But what if... Arya's eyes glanced at Keir briefly, then darted straight forward again. Pansa wasn't in sight, or she would probably have glanced at him, too. She didn't know them that well yet, either one of them could be the type to take advantage of such a situation...the notion was likely ridiculous, it was probably just her being anxious as usual...right?

Anxious and confused thoughts such as these continued to run through the girl's head while she stared at the towels that had been laid out. Though she couldn't see it, and didn't really realize that it was happening, the water in the hot springs had begun to bubble up a bit violently in reaction to the girl's inner anxieties. Maybe I'll just go in with my clothes on...I need to wash the blood off of them, anyways, and I can make them dry again quickly enough just by having the water leave them, she thought, then realized, Oh no, I need cold water for the blood...I guess I could just wash what I can off, and get new clothes once we get to town... Arya brought her hand to her chin as she thought, standing still for quite a while as she thought things through. Well, I guess I could just look into the bath area to see how things are set up...I think that would be okay...right? The girl moved to pull the door between them and the hot springs area open, hoping it would give her some clues as to what she was supposed to do. She stepped through into the area, looking around to figure out what it looked like.

❀❀❀ Unila Crys-Feathri ❀❀❀

Health: Heavily wounded

Position: Standing whilst shyly pulling down her 'dress'

Facing a teal haired man

Appearance: Wearing a blood-stained male's shirt, which acts as a short dress (Geir's)

A bandage wrapped around her head. (Cave-In)

A bandage wrapped around her right calf (Cave-In)

Bruises all over her body (Cave-In)

Bite and claw marks all over her body (Bat-Monsters)

Her once snow-coloured hair now has debris scattered throughout

Looks tired, but relieved
Whilst Unila was peacefully laying against a rock, she was suddenly thrust into a chaotic adventure. Strange blurry tentacles of some-sort began flying towards their group, along with various bits of debris falling from above. It reminded her of the painful incident of the recent past, slightly shocked and confused, she was suddenly and rapidly carried away by Geir. Her mind began to spin at the abrupt motion, but she held her ground, and desperately began thinking of what to do. But no motions came to mind, as Geir acted first.

His transformation was mesmerizing to watch, his scaly figure slowly growing into a magnificent beast. Perhaps she already knew that he was a dragon, with his unique eyes and flaming abilites. But to see it in reality, was another subject all together. Smiling and gazing in awe, she almost forgot about the destruction he was causing. The deep darkness obscured her view, barely able to see where Lani and Geir were anymore. She wasn't even sure what was happening, and felt helpless under the darkness. A shockwave of 4 consecutive explosions rung above her, followed by a howl of pain. It's sounds vibrated the very cavern, causing everything, to collapse. Concerned, she wobbled as she managed to stand up. As she began reaching for Geir, to check if he was alright, she was suddenly scooped up by a scaly hand.

The earth shattered around them, in a shower of rocks and dirt, as Geir pierced through the surface. A distorted maniac laughter, startled her once again, but she immediately felt relief, as the clear, outside sky met her irises.

They were free. Injured yes, but happily, joyfully free.

Unila embraced this moment of peace a little longer, before leaving the warm teal-coloured scales of Geir's hand. But then, a new fear overcame her. Would Geir...leave? After this? No...I don't want him to...But if he wants to go on his own.... As her joy filled expression drooped, she decided to ask him outright, no point wondering over an uncertain answer after all. "Geir, where do you plan on going next?" She looked at him with a tilted head, as she tried to pull her make-shift dress farther down, it was still a little embarrassing to her.

Geir Brandr Ignatius

Location: Mining Village/Mines

With: Unila, Lani, Leh, Irha

After landing outside the mine, the large, teal-and-black dragon looked around, noting his surroundings. He had managed to get both Lani and Unila out of the mines relatively safely. It seemed that Leh and Irha had both grabbed onto him as well in order to escape -- probably more efficient than Irha changing into her dragon form as well, anyway. They were off on their own now, talking, but at least they were safe. The dragon looked back at the dark hole in the ground that they had just come from. With the darkness overtaking the mine, it looked like the ground gave way to a black hole that was swallowing everything around it. Auluua was still in there. He felt bad, but there was nothing that Geir could do for her now. He couldn't see her in the darkness, and with her actions being controlled by whomever was attacking them, taking her was more dangerous to the group, especially with their injuries. It's no wonder the townspeople stay away from these mines now, he thought, then wondered briefly if Eirho had taken the miner with him when he had separated the group. That might have been the mine's foreman...so he had failed to save him, too. The thought really bothered Geir; while he had initially come to the mines under instructions from his patron, he had been hoping that he could help the townsfolk while they were there. That didn't seem to be the case. Still, it was too late now, going back in now would almost certainly mean death.

The dragon's attention shifted to Unila as she spoke, and he lowered his head towards the ground as to be able to hear her better. The piercing, solid blue eyes of his dragon form watched the girl carefully, still wary of any injuries that she might have, despite their best attempts at bandaging them. The dragon's eyes blinked at Unila's question, as if a bit surprised by it. "Next? I'm going to take you to a hospital. You're still badly injured, they should have healers who can help," the dragon spoke in his deep, resounding voice. He left out the fact that he, too, would likely need to see a healer. Though his scales were hard like armor and had mitigated most of the damage, the attack from the tree roots had done some damage to the dragon, the most painful of which had managed to pierce through his side a good amount. Though he had managed to cauterize the wound on his shoulder from the arrow before, this wound was simply too large. Maybe if he had been something other than a fire dragon, but as it was, it was already exceedingly difficult to cauterize a smaller wound with his immunity to heat -- in order to do so, he has to use his own fire, and he has to make it as hot as it can possibly go in a very concentrated area. Even then, the result is more of a very temporary blockage of the blood flow, a larger wound didn't stand a chance at being closed off that way. Even with his injuries, however, his main concern was getting Ila healed up.

Geir stretched out his large wings, briefly checking for damage. They were a bit sore from breaking through the cavern and having debris fall on them, but they were otherwise in good shape. He should be able to fly to a healer quickly enough. The dragon turned his head towards Lani now, the cloak that had fallen from her head again reminding him of the strange rabbit ears. She definitely wasn't a purebred dragon, like Eirho had announced when they first met. Geir was a little annoyed at the attempted deception, but he understood it well enough, and couldn't really blame them. "You're father would likely kill me if I left you alone before he returned, but I won't wait long, Ila needs to be healed soon...Perhaps it would be better to cover your ears while we are above ground. I doubt any passersby would attack with a large dragon around, but if things become dire and I need to leave before he gets out..." the dragon let his last words trail off. The area that they had broken through the ground was a fair distance from the town, and there didn't seem to be many signs of people passing through here, but there was always a chance. Geir knew how hybrids were treated, he had seen it enough on the streets growing up -- though they were rare, hybrids were still more commonly found on the streets, often either abandoned, or orphaned. Most people were raised to hate hybrids, but Geir hadn't had anyone like that to raise him, he had only seen the way they were treated while he grew up on the streets; beaten, abused, murdered, with no one caring at all. Sometimes the same things happened to kids the other kids growing up on the streets, but never as often or as cruelly as when it involved a hybrid. The dragon wasn't about to let that happen now.

Pansa dropped from the rafters just behind the unsuspecting Arya. Not wanting to scare the snot out of her, he grasped her shoulder lightly and slowly spun her around. Raising his hand up so she knew it was him, he pointed her to the female changing rooms where there was a cold water reservoir to soak clothes and the showers where she would douse herself in buckets of water and use various soaps and oils of her choice to clean off the grime before soaking in the hot springs.

He explained in a quiet voice as not to alert the others that it was custom to be clean before entering the hot springs to soak and relief stress and strain. Pansa mentioned to her that the hot springs was only part of a bigger training ground, most of which was underground. He told her where the door was but cautioned her that the grounds weren't designed for magic users and was geared towards improving reflexes and durability of one's body.

"Should you wish to join me in a training session you will find me there after I have informed the others of the onsen and its rules. It is much nicer to soak in a clean hot springs than a dirty one dont you think?"

He vanished as soon as he appeared and moved along the shoadows to find the others and maybe give them a mild scare as well.

Ireth was following Arya wanting to find the baths just as much as she did. She didn't like the feeling of blood on her let alone other people's blood. Hearing Pansa jump from the rafters she nearly pulled her dagger ready to defend Arya when she saw that it was him she let go of the dagger's hilt. She said nothing as she tried to relax and waited for him to leave before she looked at Arya carefully "What did he say?" she asked curiously.

Keir Sullivan

Keir watched Arya walk off, shortly followed by Ireth, and decided that he would try investigating in a different direction. They could probably cover more ground in exploring this place if they split up for a little. Besides, he was hoping that there were multiple baths; it would be incredibly awkward if there weren't. Wandering through the somewhat dark building, Keir couldn't make much sense of it, as it wasn't an architectural style normally used in towns in the area. There were some objects here and there, including towels, weapons, and more disabled traps. He decided that the building might once have been used for training.

Eventually, after walking a ways, Keir turned and began heading back in the direction of the others, not wanting to end up lost. He hadn't found the baths in this direction, so he figured the others must have found them. As he moved, he wondered what these baths were like; he wasn't often in one, as his idea of bathing was generally just jumping into the nearest body of water. Keir was soon back in the entrance hall, where the pendulums remained hanging still. Trying to recall which way the other two had gone, he turned to look around.

Pansa saw a confused Keir wandering the vicinity and a small mischievous smile spread across his face under his mask. He grabbed Keir and pulled him into the shadows as he walked by.

"Boo! Any way the springs are that way. The male section is over there and the showers are right there."

Pansa had produced a map of the site and was pointing Keir to where he should be going.

"Make sure you use the showers first and scrub clean. It would be not polite to those after you if you didnt."

Pansa hopped off to the training room to begin some intensive training. He was lacking in a few places and could use the adrenaline rush.

Arya had gripped her scythe tighter and moved the butt-end backwards quickly but subtly at the sudden presence behind her, but stopped short when the hand lightly touched her shoulder to spin her around. Any surprise she may have felt at Pansa's sudden appearance was void from her expression, as she simply adjusted her scythe in her left hand again, loosening her grip slightly.

Listening to the man's explanation of the hot springs gratefully, Arya nodded her understanding of what she was supposed to do. Thank goodness, there are separate showers, Arya thought with relief. Knowing what it was that she was supposed to do helped calm her immensely, and though she was still anxious at the idea of showering or bathing near the others, it was at least a bit better than she had feared. It was curious that the onsen was some sort of training grounds, but Arya doubted she would be able to train with Pansa today. She still had to actually heal her wounds, which would take a lot of energy, and she would probably be out for a while after that.

Arya watched as Pansa left, disappearing into the shadows, then looked over at Ireth, who had approached. "Let's go, the female showers are over here," Arya pointed, "we're supposed to wash up there first, then relax in the hot springs after. It's divided by gender." The girl turned to walked to the showers, then paused, "Oh, he also mentioned that this was an old training grounds, I think he's going off to train." With the elf's question fully answered, Arya continued to the shower area.

Once in the shower area, Arya sat down in one of the shower sections, beginning to remove her armor. The metal clinked together as she removed each piece and set them carefully aside. She would have to clean and prep these before cleaning herself or anything else -- though the armor was heavily enchanted against rust and erosion due to her constant contact with water, leaving them bloody would still take its toll on the metal. The blue haired girl went to work on cleaning her scythe and her armor, washing away all of the blood and drying them thoroughly, more willing the water away from the metal rather than having to towel dry it. Once the blood had been removed and the metal was dry, Arya brought out some wax from the pouch at her waist and started coating the pieces in the wax. After that was finally done the girl set the pieces safely to the side and took a deep breath. Now was the part that she was most intimidated by.

Come on, Arya, no one's looking. Just take it off and get it over with, she reassured herself. One more deep breath, then the girl removed the rest of her clothes, feeling awkward as she did so. She set the clothes off to the side -- she would wash those after cleaning herself and covering herself with a towel -- then went to clean off the blood and grime from her skin and hair, grimacing a little as she touched the wound on her side. She never did wrap that up, and it had been oozing blood since she got it, hidden by the various other blood stains that had covered her before. She would have to heal as much of that as she could now -- she didn't have the energy to heal all of it at once. The wound would likely scar as a result, but that was of little importance, as the girl already had a plethora of scars along her body, mostly along her back, though there were a few on her chest near her heart and a few others elsewhere along her body. A blue glow started emanating from the wound on her side and from the one on her hand, and the girl grimaced as pain coursed through her body. She continued the healing process until she began to become woozy, stopping it before she passed out from the pain. Both wounds were closed up now, at least, though both would definitely scar. Exhausted, Arya finished washing herself until she was clean, then wrapped herself in a towel and picked up her clothes, bringing those over to wash them in the cold water reservoir and to soak for a while. After scrubbing them for a short while, the girl left those alone to soak, too exhausted to worry about getting all of the blood off right away.

Finally, the girl was ready to go out to the hot springs. Being submerged in nice, warm water sounded absolutely wonderful now, especially with how tired she was. Arya made her way out into the female section of the hot springs and lowered herself into the warm water, leaving the towel wrapped around herself even in the water. She was more comfortable being covered, even if it was odd to have a towel on in the water. Closing her eyes and letting out a tired sigh, the girl sunk down a ways, leaning against the edge of the hot springs and finally, thankfully, relaxing.

((Woo, super long post >.> Sorry haha (this is what happens on slow RP days when I really, really wanna write xP)))

Thomas Nightingale

Thomas explored the ruins with Raiquen. After exploring a bit, the scene shifted once more. Months seemed to pass as he was tortured along with Raiquen. Some days, it seemed as though Raiquen was the only thing keeping him sane, and other days, he felt stronger than the whole world. Thomas knew however, he was getting closer and closer to snapping. He felt closer and closer to insanity with each passing moment in this illusion. He could only hope that the group was getting close to beating the Mage, and freeing him of the illusion. One day, Raiquen disappeared. He couldn't tell if he just couldn't see him, or the Mage broke the illusion in two, but Thomas had never felt more alone. Nocking an arrow, he continued on alone.

@Creekstar

(My bad, hadn't meant to control Raiquen. If I do it again, just tell me and I'll edit it. I kind of skipped ahead to compensate for Kokoro and Eri, and you can decide whether or not Raiquen is along with Thomas, but Thomas just can't see him. I feel as though the Mage wouldn't let Thomas and Raiquen be together, as it would be counterproductive.)

Raiquen Nguyen

Raiquen watched as the world continued to change around him. Days quickly seemed to pass, though he knew that it had only been minutes in reality. He was glad that Thomas chose not to pursue the incident in which the illusionary scientist appeared; it definitely had not been one of Raiquen's finer moments. He hated it when something caused him to act as childish as he looked. Fortunately, the one controlling the illusion didn't target Raiquen often, and seemed to avoid ever showing the exact same scene twice. As such, no other events truly freaked him out as that first one had. Eventually, he tended to zone out for what seemed to be long periods of time in the illusion, since he was getting pretty bored. He hoped that his presence was helping Thomas, though. Whenever the man looked ready to break down, he would drift over and talk to him in his straightforward, curt way. He doubted he was even the slightest bit comforting, but hopefully he could keep Thomas grounded.

After a time, however, he realized that the other man wasn't there anymore. Had the Mage finally realized that Raiquen was a problem and separated them? It seemed likely. As he thought about this, he also noticed that the scenery around him hadn't changed for a while. He silently cursed himself for not noticing earlier, and began reaching out with his mind to find Thomas again. It proved difficult, though, especially since he couldn't tell where he was. Raiquen didn't seem to be in his own dreamscape, but he didn't seem to be in Thomas's, either. It seemed that he was in some sort of limbo. The Mage didn't seem to want to toy with him as they did Thomas, instead simply trying to block him out. They had probably only been showing Raiquen scenes that catered to his fears to chase him away. Raiquen sat down, trying to decide what to do. A voice suddenly rang out through his mind.
Raiquen! Merle called. Can you hear me? I think we've found the Mage. Don't worry, we've got you two sleepyheads with us. How's it going in there?

I hear you, Raiquen replied, glad to hear the raven's familiar voice. I was with Thomas for a while, but I seem to have been kicked out. I'm not entirely sure what to do now. I could probably get back to my dreamscape and help out with the fight, though I'd probably not be helpful. I could also try to look for some sort of loophole back to Thomas. Can you two try to assist Kokoro and Eri against the Mage? Merle and Berhtram both agreed, as helping Kokoro and Eri was part of protecting Raiquen's body. Satisfied, he went to work searching both mentally and physically for a way back to Thomas. He smirked slightly as he realized that what he was doing was like trying to break into a prison. His expression turned more grim when he wondered if time passed more normally here than it did in Thomas's illusion. If that was true, the man may already have gone insane in the short time Raiquen was here.

After a few minutes of walking, Raiquen literally hit a wall. A huge black barrier seemed to stop him from going in one direction. That was probably how he could access the illusion again. He tried flying over or around, but it was pointless. There didn't seem to be any holes. He wasn't particularly proficient in magic, either; the most he could manage was some minor wind magic using his wings. He wondered what's the would happen if he tried to call to Thomas through it. "Hello? Can you hear me?" He asked, sitting down with his back against the barrier.

@PyschoticDreamz

((Wow, this post got pretty long. Also, the wall is kind of like the door when Raiquen entered Thomas's illusion; they're probably not in the same place, but the wall instead acts as a sort of physical symbol that has to be broken to reach where Thomas is))

The Mage

The Mage waited as the group of 4 got closer and closer to him. When they finally reached his location, the Mage smiled. 'Finally, now I can deal with these intruders once and for all.' The Mage frowned. He was surprised that the man hadn't broken. He had gone through the equivalent of three years worth of torture. Even after being separated from his ally, he was still staying strong. The Mage marveled at the man's tenacity, before turning his attention to the group. After hearing their questions, the Mage smirked. Foolish. Using magic, the Mage cast an illusion of himself, complete with his scent and heartbeat to walk out of the shadows. While he did this, the Mage concealed his own heartbeat and scent with a powerful illusion, and spoke to the group through his illusion. "Why have you intruded my home? I thought incapacitating your friend would be enough, but clearly, you lot are even more foolish than I expected." The 'Mage' smirked. "You're looking for the lost artifact, aren't you? Unfortunately for you, it isn't in here. Leave, before I kill you all." The 'Mage' then turned his back on the group and started to walk away.

Eri Zabelan
Eri narrowed her eyes as a strange man, a mage no doubt came out. No way was she to trust that this was his true form. The true mage might not even be a man. He has shown to be a powerful mage already. But still. That meant he was listening.

"Foolish?" Eri spoke softly, a small smile. "Foolishness is knowing where you are going, and knowing you will fail without any gain. But going somewhere where nothing is known and only your curiosity is what leads you, that is most definitely not foolishness." Fonishing her small speech she glanced down at Raiquen. Just like he didn't know what to find in Thomas's mind. The example crossed her mind. Looking up, Eri thought, that if he could trap someone in their own mind, she might want to gaurd her own. Building up her mental strength, Eri repeated a very simple line in her head. 'I will protect. Slowly she adjusted her grip on her staff, making her body fall into a more natural and relaxed stance. Still at the ready. The air was tense, yet it seemed to be missing something. Eri could only hear the normal three sets of slow outakes and intakes of breath. Yet a fourth was very faint.

Kokoro Himura

Location: Desert Tomb

With: Raiquen, Eri, Thomas

The tiger watched as the 'mage' came out of hiding, still tensed and ready to fight. Moving so that Thomas slid off her back and would be slowly lowered to the floor, the tiger stepped forward, growling at the mage's words. "Your home? This is not your home. It is the tomb of my ancestor, and I will not have you tarnish it with your presence," Kokoro snarled. First, this mage traps her allies in some sort of spell -- that there was enough for Kokoro to want to rip him to shreds in order to protect the two -- but now, he also was claiming something that was not rightfully his. Kokoro already lost her tribe, her parents were killed in the battle, and her siblings were being held hostage so that she would be forced to marry the man who destroyed everything for her. She had already lost so much, she was not going to have this mage take away her family's heritage so easily. This tomb was important to her tribe, as well as several others throughout the desert, but also to her family in particular. She herself was descended from this king, this mage had no right to take this place away from her or her siblings, or from what was left of the tribes, who looked at this place as a symbol of hope.

The mage had turned his back on them. Kokoro's instincts began to kick in, and she crouched low to the ground, muscles tensed, then pushed off from the ground in a powerful pounce, claws out as she prepared to knock the mage to the ground. She wasn't going for the kill -- not yet, anyway -- as she planned on forcing this magic user to reverse whatever it was that he had done to Thomas.

Despite the size of Geir as he burst from the tunnels and took her and Ila with him, Lani couldn't help but struggle as the entirety of the cave below them began to crumble. Managing to wrest herself free of his grip, the girls only thoughts were of Auluua, who was still down there. It was her fault after all, that Auluua was in such a situation, so it was only right to save her. The girl had taken a leap to head back down at about the same time a large, teal hand reached out and caught her mid air, closing around her enough to restrict her movements as it brought her, kicking and struggling, back over solid ground. As Geir lowered her down and released her the cave suffered one final breakage and collapsed in on itself fully, blocking access from above ground and sealing any one that was still inside down there, if not outright killing them.

Falling to her knees with a cry of anguish, Lani slammed her hands against the ground twice before settling her crying into her palms as she realised there was no way to get to the archer that had been possessed. All the hybrid could do now was realise that Auluua's last moments had been under the assail of one that wanted to be her friend.

Largely ignoring most of the going ons behind her, the young girl struggled to cope with the sudden loss as tears continued to flow down her face, and ultimately she really just gave up trying to sort out what else she could have done, because she couldn't think of anything. She had been so useless that she'd actually just made the problem worse.

It wasn't until Geir mentioned something about her ears being revealed that the girl's hands shot up to pull the furry appendages down closer to her head, eyes wide as she realised her secret was out. Scrabbling quickly she managed to get her hood back up, despite the damage, and turned to face the pair, resolving that she could always get back in touch with her father later, especially since he would know they'd most likely gone to get Ila help.

"I... I'm sorry," she said, standing up and moving to their side, "I'm ready to go, and can meet up with my dad later."

She kept her words somewhat terse, and her actions subdued. She knew people didn't like hybrids, and wasn't sure why Geir was still being nice, but if it was fear that her dad would kill him, it just meant she was an unwilling associate. It hurt to think about, but she needed to be real with it, and could always find somewhere else to be once they reached civilization.
