Fantasy The Core of Power

Alright enough messing around, Barry thought. He needed to start gathering some real Intel about these people. He didn't have a whole lot of energy but he doing this would cost almost nothing. Barry let his virus particles start roaming the air. They wouldn't cause any harm but they'll bounce off when they hit a surface so it helped him find out where people were, particularly that invisible girl, and how easy it is to infect them should he feel the need to.

After a while of searching, he found the girl that wouldn't show herself, and found her walking away from them. She didn't have any armor though, just bare skin and clothes. He also found that the government guy was nowhere near them. He didn't know where he was but it was comforting to know that he wasn't in the sewer. Then he turned his attention to Sentinel. Other than his mask, he didn't have any armor on his body but he was smart enough to know that this wouldn't be the case during combat. As for his mask, it offered no leverage to infect. It covered all the best ways to do so. It was a perfect seal too. Not a single opening except for his eyes. However that would take time for him to maneuver his way down his face and find his nose and mouth. The same was the case with the new guy. Except he had armor all over his body. It was also made from different material but he couldn't tell. However, something struck out to him. There were millions of folds in his suit that had sharp edges and formed themselves into...shurikens? That was the shape he was getting. This guy was arming himself. Barry became more alert and weary to him.

He listened to his little speech about the government guy and he remained perfectly calm about it. But if he hadn't said, he probably would have sooner or later. Those words read exactly along the lines of the thoughts he had of him. He didn't feel any sympathy. In fact he almost let out a chuckled but he forced it down and didn't react in any way to what the newcomer has just said. He leaned to Sentinel's ear and wispered softly so that no one else could hear. "This guy's armed with hundreds of shurikens all over his body. I wouldn't let him tag along, the way he's behaving doesn't exactly raise a sign saying 'Hey let's be friends'" He waited for a response, all the while, quietly, studying the armored man further and being discreet about it.

Conner was glad to know that the invitation was still open, and was starting after Erin as he heard someone coming up the steps. He didn't look back, unwilling to see who it was, not ready to face anyone but Erin. He knew that Vittra wasn't a bad person, but words had followed him up, and he wanted to scream at them, the words pretending he had a choice- a chance. Acting as if he hadn't thought about what he had done, as if he wasn't just a pawn in a hopeless game. He just wanted to be warm and sleep- or alone and crying.

He'd settle with sleeping, though, and looked at the police as they passed, face as blank as he could manage, whispering, "Do as you will." He continued to Erin's apartment, grabbing up the sleeping bag from earlier and curling up in a corner, unwrapping the sleeping bag and covering himself with it, finally allowing himself to rest.

A roar of chatter filled the paper's station as multiple calls came in and all sorts of journalists stood around the Editor asking for his approval to cover the currently ongoing story that was happening across the city. Mutants Massacre Police!!!! the headlines would read the next morning on the paper. While the chaos was still prominent, Jay decided this would be his chance to slip away and try to help in whatever way he could over at the other side of the city. He was, after all, just an intern who would surely not be missed. With this though in mind, Jay delivered the cup of coffee that the Editor of the paper had asked him to fetch before sneaking out of the building. He looked both ways down the street and took a deep breath as he tried to decide which route would be best for him to take. Finally, Jay made his choice and sped off towards the scene.

Running at super-human speeds was unlike anything one would imagine. The world around Jay simple melted behind him as he ran as if he was the sun itself melting the buildings as he ran. The vibrant colors of the city blended together as he zipped down the streets. Pedestrians strolled down the streets and as Jay ran by their umbrellas would fly off their hands from the force of the wind he caused. Whispers of a strange blur coming by were shared between the people as they picked up their umbrellas again and continued to go along with their day. Sliding on shattered glass, Jay came to a stop at the scene of the crime. Several police officers laid on the ground either injured or dead. Sadly, it was evident that most were in fact dead. "Mutant! Fire on him!" the remaining police officers screamed and without a second thought, he sped off once more before they could fire at him. However, Jay had forgotten about the broken glass and almost fell as the world around him slowed. He ran past the policemen gunning for him and grabbed the first injured policemen. Still sliding almost uncontrollably on the broken glass, he ran towards the nearest hospital and dropped him off. With a breath, Jay ran back in for the second officers. Saving the same officers who were attempting to kill him was going to make his "rescue mission" a lot harder he realized.

Sentinel looked over and noted that Outbreak war correct. The man up was covered in his own weapons. He really didn't seem to be government, though, and was acting fine for now. He leaned back over and whispered "You don't exactly act like everyone's best friend either, might I add. Until he proves to be a threat it's more effort to get rid of him than just deal with it." He looked back over and tired to guess what his powers were. The most obvious choice was some sort of kinetic ability, but one could never know. "So, how is it that you know of me?"

Barry furrowed his eyebrow. Well...he couldn't really argue anything there... He wasn't friends with everyone. But he still didn't like this guy. What was he arming himself for? You don't make yourself weapons unless you were expecting a fight. Was he planning something? Barry sent his pathogens to continue searching the newcomer's body for anyway he could get leverage against him should the opportunity arises. He hated to thrust himself into preparing for another fight so soon. He was in no condition to do much but he didn't want to be caught unprepared if this guy wanted to attack him. Barry needed to focus for this so he remained quiet for a while. He couldn't help but think how this has turned into some sort of arms race. The masked man stocking up on shurikens, while his virus rushed up and down the man's body, searching for openings. There had to be one somewhere. Any Crack would be enough for him to penetrate the armor. But it would take time and energy, and he didn't have much of the latter.

Ella followed behind Chainsnake slowly. It was not that she was afraid to be near them, no, it was because she was still weary from the alley. The energy she had used back there was like nothing she has ever felt. While she had been connecting with the glass molecules it had felt like the moment of the crash sucked more energy from her then the actual glass molecules. Ella was concerned on what that meant regarding her powers, but when she looked down she was more concerned that where her glass vein bracelet should be was a bandage that had stopped the open wound. With out the open wound, Ella couldn't use her powers properly other then rapidly scabbing close small open wounds. So for the moment, Ella was at the ability of a normal person with weapon experience. Ella hoped that she could get back to the Caverns soon so she could get some clean glass to make a new vein bracelet.

Soon Chainsnake lead Ella around a corner and soon enough Ella heard the slight echo of Sentinel's voice. She also heard a few more voices with him. Ella assumed that whoever they were weren't bad, as it was in her nature and the nature of the senior Sanctuary cavern members. With glee Ella ran ahead of Chainsnake, holding her abdomen in the process. She was still quite weary and in a lot of pain so it didn't take long for Ella to begin coughing and gasping for air again. Afraid that she might not make it, Ella shouted from the top of her lungs, "Sentinel!" and waited for Chainsnake to catch up to her and hopefully help support her as they would continue to move.

"I've heard stories, mainly; mostly among the younger generation of mutants, but on occasion from the police or military. By the way, Outbreak. If you would be so kind as to stop groping around my body, and both of you whispering about my intentions, I'd be more than grateful. You won't find any openings, and I don't intend to turn on you... unless you turn on me," Damion explained, making his cynicism apparent on all accounts, "You're discreet, I'll give you that; I could barely hear you at all. But you shouldn't underestimate my abilities, since they're similar to both of yours, Sentinel and Outbreak."

Damion had been training his mutant abilities for months to the point where he gained control over paper even in microscopic scraps. This particular skill brought forth many uses, such as identifying if anything of equal or greater size moved these scraps by holding them softly in place to the extent of which when something made contact and shifted them slightly, he would know. He could not feel the paper, but could tell if it moved. Damion always made sure to spread such paper scraps around the air and use them accordingly, and its use came in handy, since he was able to discover the nature of Outbreak's ability thanks to it. His power must relate to something at a microscopic level, especially if it only barely alerted him. If he had not manipulated these particles so swiftly, Damion would have never known; the particles were far too small to have been discovered otherwise. Not even the Mist Walker herself, silently following within the sewer air, could evade his detection abilities.

(She did come down there with them, right? That's what I remember reading before. :/ )

Their speech, however, was easily detected by these scraps. Their voices might have been quiet, but were more than enough to push the paper aside. There was no hiding even a breath from Damion. They might not have realized that, but it was better to make precautions than to give yourselves away. It was much more difficult to decipher their discussion after noticing; however, but he managed to listen closely enough to catch a word or two, the most prominent word being "threat" and the second being "armed", most likely referring to himself. Damion always made sure he was properly equipped for battle, especially after offering to help people, only to be betrayed after helping. He cared little if people feared that he was armed to the teeth, considering he literally was, having actually used his mouth to reluctantly maim his captors, escaping several dangerous situations and encounters.

Damion simply kept walking until he identified a pair of persons walking toward them in the tunnel in the opposite direction. It seemed one was male and the other female, who seemed particularly ecstatic to approach Sentinel. "Friends of yours?" He inquired playfully, soon identifying a small multitude of others past them, in a large room not yet in sight in the dirty air, clouded with the visible stench emitting off of the sewage nearby.

''Quite reckless'' thought to himself Chain Snake. He caught up to Ella, then grabbed her, lifted her and carried her. ''Hey, hey don't just run like that with those wounds'' he added. He then continued to walk, with Ella in his arms , towards her friends. After he got close enough he put her down. ''She needs some treatment for her wounds'' he said to the other people which where there.

Since his help wasn't needed anymore, Byron had no more reasons to stay arround. ''I'll be on my way'' he said as he slowly started to walk away from the group.

Barry's eyes widened. What? Impossible! How does he know? Barry thought, utterly perplexed. Then he became suspicious. Was there something he missed? Barry had his virus search the air for unknown molecules. After a while, he finally found it. These molecules drifted in the air and they were all over the place. Barry's expression turned sinister and he gave the newcomer a dark look. Nobody controls the microscopic airspace. Nobody except him. He wasn't just about to be out maneuvered on his home court. He didn't care if he would notice what he was about to do. Barry sent his virus after the unknown pieces in the air and rapidly began to remove them from the airspace. It didn't seem like this was his central power so he certainly wasn't as efficient as he was. Barry planned to make the room void of this material so he would be free to do whatever he felt like and not be pointed out. Where am I supposed to take this stuff so that they don't just drift back? Barry looked around and then saw the sewage. Yeah, he belongs in the dump so that's where I'll put him. Barry knew this guy was going to realize what he was doing but without anything to tell where his pathogens were, he was in the dark. Barry was glad his virus had tiny appendages used normally to grab onto cells to infect them. However, they weren't just limited to that, Barry figured out how to be able to pick up and move things at a microscopic level. He continued to empty the entire area with his virus and moving them to the sewars. Then, suddenly, a splitting headache struck. Barry winced, Whoa, damn, too much energy. I really don't have the juice to do this...I'm almost done, it wouldn't hurt for much longer.

Then Barry heard a voice from behind him yell Sentinel's name. He looked back. It seemed to be girl's voice that spoke up. Barry also noticed someone else with him. Then, the second figure picked up the first and walked over. Barry raised an eyebrow. Who were they? The girl clearly was friends with Sentinel. Ok...then who was the other guy? Barry's headache did not help. So many new people, it made him dizzy. That brought his mind to his wounds. They were nowhere near being fully healed. Was Sentinel planning to take him to this friend of his, or at least he thought they were friends, for proper medical attention? Nonetheless, Barry quickly turned his focus back to removing those foreign particles invading HIS airspace.

Sentinel was about to respond to the mask guy when his name was called from further down the tunnel. He was sure it was Ella, unless the military had a mutant that could mimic voices, but he found it unlikely that was the case. He sped up his pace, forcing Outbreak to move a bit faster as well. "I'm here!" He called back.

Ella had struggled in Chainsnake arms the whole time he was walking. She wanted to get to Sentinel as soon as possible to let him know the supply run went successful and that they were clear to go back to the caverns. As soon as Chainsnake put Ella back down, she grabbed Sentinel into a very weak bear hug. "Sentinel I am so glad you're okay! I thought that I had lost everyone after the glass shattered." Then she whispered into his ear so quiet it was just loud enough for only a person right next to her and paying strict attention could actually hear. "Sentinel, as of until we get to home, I am strictly a human. Before you ask what that means, I'll tell you later."

Ella noticed the people that were behind Sentinel. They all looked like they could use some sleep. Especially the one that Sentinel had been supporting, Ella knew it was no surprise that he needed serious help. Ella knew that if they could get back to the Caverns then Ella could get the right person to help them. Just as she was about to speak up again, Ella heard Chainsnake say that he was probably going to leave. Ella had been so grateful that Chainsnake had helped her out and she didn't want him to leave just yet. So Ella grabbed his arm and said, "Wait a minute Chainsnake. Before you go you wouldn't mind coming with us for dinner would you? I know its extremely late, but where me and Sentinel are staying, we change things up a bit."

@Azure Sky @Shog

Byron wasn't very friendly by nature, or better yet, not many people ever tried to approach him. Still, Ella was a mutant like himself and the other people were mutants as well, it didn't mean that they'd get along, just that they'd have at least a basic understanding of each other. Ella seemed to be the insistent type so he knew that trying to refuse would have been bothersome, plus after thinking about it better, he had no reason to refuse. ''Ok, if it's fine with all of you...'' he said.

He didn't take off his mask yet and only his red eyes with slit-shaped pupils could be distinguished. He was wondering if he should take his mask off. He trusted Ella, but it was a different story regarding the others, so as long as it didn't bother them too much , he prefered to keep his mask on.

As soon as Erin reached her apartment, surprisingly a little behind Conner, she went straight to her closet- searching for anything that could be used as a mask from now on. Not that she'd actually need it in the future... perhaps she would never see those other mutants again. Somehow she had a feeling though... if only because Erin was considering starting her own mission to figure out who the glass shattering mutant was. She wasn't entirely sure what she would do when she found them... but well... she wanted to find them anyway.

Having no luck and realizing she'd just have to go buy one or make one later, Erin went over to the window to check to see if Vittra was around. She was a bit worried about the girl though she had faith the mutant could take care of herself.

Damion immediately noticed Outbreak at work, attempting to drag his valuable paper into the sewer water. He certainly had some trouble, considering Damion's paper was larger and more solid than whatever microbes he was using, but Damion assisted, releasing control of them entirely to at least give him a moment of victory. Besides, there was plenty more where that came from; Damion was literally covered in hundreds of millions of sheets of fully sized paper folded over into intensely condensed clothing and weaponry, strong enough to absorb the impact of .50 Caliber rounds from a high powered rifle from point blank range. He has tested this fact against the military forces in New York, who uncommonly carry these around on skyscrapers.

Paper was also a naturally commonly found material in the air, considering the elements they are formed from are a present in bulk in the atmosphere. Damion could forge more if he so desired, and had an abundance of materials to do it so. Paper was made from cellulose pulp from trees, commonly made from Nitrogen, Hydrogen, and Oxygen, all of which are major elements in the atmosphere, so Damion had a near infinite supply of microbe paper scraps. Forming anything larger would disturb the chemical composition of the air; however, but Damion knew the specifics.

Damion followed as they kept going. The girl who approached them whispered something to Sentinel about being human. He caught little else, but found it generally irrelevant. Damion had little use or care for the personal lives of others and felt that they should be kept private, unless told willingly. He could hear police sirens along with gunshots ringing from the surface, most likely on the hunt, or pursuit of mutants. They needed to hurry to wherever they were going.

"I'd hate to rush you, but I think we should move to wherever you're going; the police must be searching for mutants after whatever stunt you all pulled. I suggest we move to a safe place, and then proceed with our dealings," Damion sternly explained as he started to stroll past, "Oh, and Outbreak. There's plenty more where that came from," he cautioned as he paused beside him for a moment to explain the futility of Outbreak's efforts to ground him. He accompanied them out of the sewers, all six of them together, into a previously abandoned and ruined area of the city.

Barry clenched his jaw and gave a sinister smile. There was a deadly glint in his eyes. "I can't wait," he shot back. Ooh, man, this fucker is gonna get it if he keeps pushing my buttons. Of course, Barry decided he was going to let everything go for now. He wasn't going to challenge him now. But with air empty from the strange particles he noticed earlier, he felt much more relieved and comfortable. It was so stressful knowing that he wasn't in full control at the time. Barry had almost forgotten what it felt like to have it to himself for a moment. He let out a relaxed sigh. Sentinel then brought him over to the others and he was able to get a better look at the others that had arrived. He recognized the girl. She was the one that collapsed after the glass shattered. Ah, so she's the little lady that got this whole thing rolling, he thought, humorously to himself. Barry smiled warmly. "Hello, my name's Outbreak. I can see you and Sentinel know each other rather well. May I ask what your name is?" he greeted the girl and the man politely. These were no cops, or government pigs. These were fellow mutants. They weren't after him, and he wasn't after them. Barry treated other mutants as he would a friend. That is, of course, assuming they didn't get off on the wrong foot. It took a lot to regain Barry's trust after you lost it. But besides that, the guy from before walked past them and began leading them further into the sewers. "Oh so now we're just gonna follow you?" He retorted. Honestly, Barry barely knew him. He stocked enough shurikens to kill an army and he was now suddenly taking the lead ahead of all of them. For all he knew, this could be a trap. Barry quietly hoped that Sentinel was not planning on following him.

"Well, we were moving in that direction anyway, and Sentinel's companions came from here as well, meaning this was our destination. Do you want to go back to where we came from? In case you haven't noticed, it's plagued with those government dogs, just waiting to sink their teeth in all of us," Damion condescendingly explained to Outbreak, not even stopping to explain such elementary advice. Outbreak was unbelievably insolent, and rather illogical, which was displayed in his adamant refusal to accompany Damion, who irrefutably proceeded in the correct direction. It was this utter lack of discipline and, most importantly, his complete distrust of Damion that irked Damion the most about him. Damion had witnessed many atrocious events and people in his life, but someone without respect was someone Damion could never cooperate with successfully. Damion let the more immature side of him take over, and decided to use the air and his clothing to formulate more microbe paper scraps for the sole purpose of spiting Outbreak, then focused the majority around Outbreak, making it more than apparent that he was mocking him. However, he kept a large quantity far behind and ahead of them to detect others. If Damion saw them, they would be swiftly discovered and identified.

"I almost forgot. My name is Damion, by the way. I hope we can all get along," he announced, pausing and turning back, removing his mask and revealing a sincerely warm, kindhearted smile. It was mainly a cosmetic piece either way, no one ever remembered him in the end; he was just another forgettable face in this world, and it was the most hurtful thing possible to forge bonds with others, only to have them dismiss your existence soon after. Damion had grown accustomed to this feeling; however, and accepted that this was his reality.

(I had already finished this by the time you posted, so I don't know how this will work out. This was directed at Barry since his post was last when I started writing.)

Ella started laughing at the boys that were around her. They were all having seperate conversation about the same thing with each other. Glad to have gotten reassurance from Sentinel Ella looked over at Damion and Outbreak. "Hello there I'm Ella and it's nice to meet you too. Oh and yes Sentinel and Damion, the direction the two of you are going is correct. So don't worry Outbreak, Damion isn't leading you in the wrong direction at all."

That is when Ella took the opportunity to move to the front of everyone, pulling Chainsnake along with her for a support. "Now then, if all of you would just kindly follow me please. I have Maddie waiting with Cricket and Dash for you Sentinel, and as soon as we get where were going, I will contact Iris so we can all get some medical help."

With that Ella lead the group to the nearest entrance of the caverns. Because it was so close to the city, the door they came to was barred, chained, taped up with police line tape and had two code locks on it. Quickly un-doing all the things to unlock it, Ella opened the door to a hall that after a short while lead to what was the College's old Cafeteria which was now the Sanctuary's Dining Hall. Inside the Cafeteria, every mutant who had been at the meeting was now sitting at tables with meals set in front of them. With so many people chatting and having conversations with people next to them, no one noticed the group that entered the building. Just as they entered the door Ella saw Maddie, Cricket, and Dash walk up to the group. Maddie pulled Ella into a bear hug and smiled saying, " Welcome back Commander. Everyone is glad to know that you aren't dead. We were afraid that you were going to pull a Perch on us."

Ella laughed, "Ha, you really thought that little trick of mine was going to end me Maddie? Jeez what kind of girl do you think I am."

Maddie just responded to Ella with a pat on the back and another hearty laugh. Ella then watched as Maddie looked at the group behind and rolled her eyes before joining her sister back at the leadership table. Ella then turned to the group behind her. "Okay so um other than Sentinel, welcome to the Sanctuary caverns (insert spiel that I told Sentinel a lot of post back regarding rules and stuff). So um if you guys would like, Iris just sent me a message saying their is dinner for us in the infirmary so ...yeah. If you guys are cool with it we can head there."

Barry soon realized that these annoying particles were back again. This time in an extremely high concentration. Barry suddenly felt claustrophobic. You bastard! he thought. Now Barry was set at getting him back. Soon enough, he had a wide open oppurtunity. When Damion took off his mask to greet everyone, Barry seized the chance to rush his virus into Damion armor. His pathogens then coated the inside of his clothes. Barry smiled, calmly, but there was most definitely a maniacal flash in his eyes. Hahaha, finally! This idiot will learn not to mess with me. he thought to himself, very amused. He wasn't going to hurt him, but he most assuredly will make sure Damion watches his step next time he tries to congestion him with his foreign particles. Barry pondered what annoying I'll he would cause Damion for the next few hours that his virus will last before they die off. After that, he would have to infect him again. Hm...how about...a runny nose...a VERY runny nose, he thought. What Barry thought was even better was the fact that unless you knew what his power was, and Damion certainly knew it would be him, you wouldn't know that he was the cause of it. I am going to enjoy every single second of this. Barry thought to himself. He didn't say a single word.

Ella then proceeded to take them through the sewers and into what she called, the Caverns. When Barry walked in and his jaw dropped. He looked around at the magnificent splendor of the room, the smells of a whole world of food filled his body with comfort. There were so many mutants. Barry has never seen this many. His entire life he has spent alone and this was his first time being with so many people. It was amazing. Barry was ready to meet people. For the first time in his life he could actually meet people as he wished. Before it was always for making deals and trades, or asking for and giving help. There was never a true bond. He was always in the I-Owe-You cycle, the same one he was in with Sentinel, as he had pretty much saved his life. "This is... incredible," he told Ella. "How do you do this? There are so many of you here?" He asked, not quite understanding how they managed to stay under cover from the government the whole time. Or what's more, how do they work together? Barry had always fended for himself. It was never about trust for him. It was always about how he could stay alive. Trust was something Barry didn't give freely to every person he met. He learned that the hard way with some run-in's down in the sewers with rogue mutants. But enough of all that trust talk. Barry just wanted something to eat. He was famished and his mouth was watering from looking at the vast array of food on each mutant plate.

"As long as I can eat something" Nick said. He let his mask go and felt it disintegrate from his face. "I'm not sure the last time a had a real meal." He stopped to look around at the orbs starting to settle in. "So what is it all of you can do?" He was about. To say something else when Cricket walked up to him and whacked him behind his head. "What we're you doing? Do you know how worried we were that something major had happened to you? It's not that we don't think you can take care of yourself, but there were a lot of cops before we heard the sirens. I Mean really." Dash walked up to them and interrupted. "What she means is we're glad you're all right. Now, you need some real food. Lead the way Ella."

(I made this super long, sorry about that. XP (T^T) I did have a lot going on in such a short amount of time though. It might be extremely controversial, though. :/ )

Damion felt a sneeze coming on under his mask, and instantly discovered the nature of Outbreak's power. Removing his mask was far more beneficial than he expected, and he considered himself lucky that he discovered it now. He suspected this was but a ounce of his prowess and took note of it. If these microbes he controlled were all disease, then combating his power was simple, but he needed to be wary of his actions from here on out. In the current situation, Damion needed to do nothing to prevent Outbreak's power from affecting him. He might be influenced by Outbreak's power, but it would fade within a few minutes, considering his immune system was stronger than most others, a remarkable contrast to his late elder sister Rachael, who died of a immune system deficient disease. Besides, as long as he displayed no evidence of being affected, which was easy for Damion considering his mask could be made soundproof with a little more reinforcement, covering the eyes and pressing the hardened mask to his face, Outbreak would only be further vexed by the lack of reaction he was receiving.

"Your name is appropriate of you, Outbreak. And now I have the advantage; thank you for revealing such delicate information to me," Damion impishly agitated. He replaced the mask in his hand to his face, locking it tightly to his face, and continued on with the others. Then he realized that with a weaponized virus like this, he would be able to do more than just a common cold, and it was inside of him and he had no idea how strong or effective it was. He needed to remove it before Outbreak got any funny ideas, especially now that Damion had successfully pissed him off yet again. Damion attempted to use base elements to form microbe paper again, only inside of his body, only for it to soak up his innards and free float, forcing him to disintegrate it.

This gave him an idea, and he formed slightly larger microbe papers rapidly inside his body at select locations in his bloodstream, at the oxygen deprived veins only, leaving the molecules in the arteries to come to these locations, and several places in his small intestines, forming them into wall-like structures to close off these vessels completely. He might be killing himself this way, but considering the nature of the virus he was infected with, he would need to take drastic measures. The paper absorbed assorted fluids quickly, and he recognized the paper being pushed by the excess fluid they blocked. After waiting a few more seconds for the fluids to build for a moment, ensuring that all of the virus microbes were conglomerated in these areas, he formed more paper walls over these locations, forcing the virus into them with the immense fluid pressing against them. He could feel no more solid particles in the circulatory system or digestive system on the paper, but to be safe about it, he released the second paper wall in each position, crumbling them intensely to lock the virus inside them like sacks of potatoes, then let everything making impact with the first wall to identify between solid and fluid. He found that he successfully gather all of the virus together in these soaked paper pouches, then brought down all walls, resuming his bodily functions. The entire feat took a minute, leaving him physically drained from having two body systems shut down for such a long period of time. The fatigue he felt in that moment was indescribable; he felt as thought he might die from his own precautions.

He disintegrated the empty walls to their original element forms, then attempted to collect the entire virus in one location in his body to eject it. He tried moving the paper pouches in vain, as they were far too soaked to move, and were covered by more fluid, slowly wearing away at the surfaces. To combat this, he coated the pouches with more paper at set intervals, preventing the molecules from escaping, but making the pouches larger and more dangerous with each reinforcement. The pouches floated freely with the movement of the systems, and eventually all reached one place, depending on which system they were in. Now there was one near his heart, and one luckily at his rectum. One was easily extracted, the other was in a more delicate position. He sought to move the one near his heart by breaking his blood vessel and extracting it manually, but that would surly kill him, considering how close it was to his vital organ. He needed to move quickly before it moved into his heart. He had completely run out of time and energy, and had few options on hand with little materials to work with. He formulated another plan, starting with him forging a significantly tighter paper wall at the opening to his heart, his right atrium, and blocked it off. He had less than half a minute to work with if he wanted to survive. With his power, he gripped the pouch, pulled down the wall, and put all of his remaining might into shoving the submerged pouch out of the fragile area, struggling intensely to do so, but eventually, succeeding, bringing it to a much safer position above his heart.

He then proceeded to tightly forge paper on the surface of the vein to cut it open, successfully doing so after what seemed like forever, maybe even two forevers, considering his strength was now nonexistent thanks to this entire objective. He deformed the paper used to sever the vein and strained to pull the pouch out before too much oxygen deficient blood escaped with it. After successfully removing the pouch, he created another dense paper sheet over the vein to seal it to ease the clotting process. The paper would not last long, but it would be enough to heal his internal wound for now. The small sac free floated in his body, slowly sinking to his legs, and he continued to layer paper over both sacs to keep the virus contained. Eventually, the stray sac would float down to his loins where he would perform a similar procedure to insert it into the rectum with the other sac. Damion was amazed he had to work this hard to remove the effects of one person's power; he now regarded Outbreak in a new light; however, this hardly changed Damion's opinion of his brazen impudence. It was only now that Damion realized he had missed the tour as he was mindlessly following them to a cafeteria like area. How long had he been working on this? He noticed that someone was speaking to him.

"Oh, I... apologize. I wasn't... paying much attention. Is there... anywhere I can go... to the restroom,... then sleep? I can't remem... remember the... last time I had... a good night's... rest," he kindly requested, making a perfect excuse to be dismissed, even if it was partially a lie. Damion's exhaustion was absolutely adamant with perfectly good reason. It was a shock he was still standing; even under normal circumstances Damion would have passed out by now. Perhaps he improved in his stamina, finally being able to move paper submerged, despite its size was a feat, even if it nearly killed him. He would need to expand on this later in his training. Manipulating microbe and extremely small forms of paper with enough effort always broke some of the rules of the macroscopic forms of paper, especially regarding certain liquids, water being the exception considering its properties. He noticed that everyone had gone to eat a full meal, but Damion needed rest and a bathroom break more than anything. He was not particularly hungry anyway.

(Lord, I really got carried away with this thing. I really apologize. XP)

The air on the streets of New York could just as well have been the fresh morning air on the country, at least that's what Valerie thought as she took a deep breath as she emerged from the sewers. She had heard gunshots in the street as she climbed up the ladder, so she had a quick look around to make sure she wasn't caught in any cross-fire. There were still cops in the street, but they were several meters away from the manhole, and their attention seemed to be directed towards something in the other direction, so she could breathe out. She tried to find Erin or Conner, but luck would have it she was a tad too late as she saw the door leading to Erin's apartment complex shut behind, who she guessed was, Erin and Conner. Typical.

She was still invisible in the steam that rose from below, so she had time to figure something out before anyone could spot her. She counted the windows to find which ones belonged to Erin's apartment. Must be that one, I don recognize the curtains! She thought as she spotted the familiar curtains in one of the broken windows as the lights inside the corresponding apartment was turned back on. Ok, so they just got back inside. It didn't take long before Erin's face appeared in the window, watching over the scene. Instantly, an idea started forming in Valeries mind, the idea wasn't the best, but it simple.

See, she was lucky, in the street just beneath the window was the police car that had been struck by the manhole-cover thrown by Sentinel a couple of minutes earlier. The cover had struck the car's hood and broken several parts inside, the car wasn't going anywhere. A slight trail of smoke rose from it, due to the damage, and this is where Valerie's plan began! She darted from the manhole towards the police car, turning visible only for a slight moment before she made an impressive leap up into the slight pillar of smoke rising from it, turning invisible again. She quickly made her way up the smoke trail till she was at level with Erin and in the window.

"Pretty fucked up night, don't you say? Eh, Erin?" She smirked, knowing that she was invisible to Erin and that she could hear her loud and clear since it was no more than seven or eight feet between her and the window - a nice little prank. "Care if I come inside?"

Barry watched Damion give a sneeze. Then, Barry felt his pathogens getting bottled up. He raised an eyebrow as he felt his virus suddenly dissappear from Damion's body. Took them out huh? No one's been able to do that before, he thought. Barry was more intigued than anything. He now seemed to look at Damion in a different way that wasn't condescending. He was still rather upset that his virus was exterminated from his body but he wasn't dumb. Barry could tell that took way too much energy out of Damion. He wondered if it would've been better to just deal with the sneeze for a little while than to nearly pass out trying to get rid of it. Besides that wasn't the only thing. By outlining the armor and looking at the nature of the folds, Barry was beginning to piece together what his power was. However, he hasn't quite solved the puzzle yet. When Damion thanked him for showing him his power, he shrugged and smiled. Most people knew his power anyway. The military made sure that everyone knew who Barry was so that they could catch him. He had an enormous bounty on his head, alive. Despite this, no one has been able to get him. They'd either been killed by him or he would just stay underground. Mostly the latter, but he didn't mind the killing part.

But he didn't spend much more time on it anyway, as he eyed the food hungrily. Barry looked at Ella and asked, "Is it...ok if I...eat some of the food?" He was starving. He hadn't had any decent food for weeks. He's been deprived because of all those failed supply runs.

After Damion had done his business and disposed of the contamination, he headed to bed, hoping to retake the full tour, on account that he was a mindless drone for the majority of it merely 10 minutes ago. He was escorted to an area to sleep in, and without much observation of his surroundings, immediately layed down and slept, gripping his armor and weapons to his skin in case anyone got any bright ideas. He rested, preparing himself for the next day.

"What's with those two?" Dash asked and gestured towards Outbreak and Damion.

"They disagree on" Nick stopped to think about it for a moment, "everything. Lets get some food."
