Fantasy The Chalice Academy

Rayu got up and walked out of the room, looking for Kanari. Hearing that she could get lost, he knew it'd be bad to leave her to herself, especially when she was weaker after her attempt with the temperature. He walked down the hall, looking for the small girl. She couldn't have gotten lost this early....or so he hoped.

"Kanari!" he called, softly, just in case her headache can worsen with loud noises, but loud enough for it to echo down the hall. "If she fainted, this is going to be a problem."

(You can decide whether my character finds Kanari. I'll wait for your reply)

(Well... Basically, we're all going to get lost now)

Tessa was an idiot and she reminded herself of this now. She'd made a rash decision and now she would probably be lost forever- even after she died, her ghost would probably still wander the corridors looking for Ocatvius/Emily. Great. She'd left the classroom and would probably never be able to go back- she'd tried to go back already but hadn't been able to find the room. So, she had to go forward.

"Octavius!" she yelled, "Emily! Where the hell did you go?"

(Yeah. Best luck. Maybe I should run into you first? And speaking of that, there's been a lot of running into lately)

(Lots of running. If I attended this school, I'd be screwed. I can't run. At all. And yeah, right now there are three people you could bump into. And I'm the only one online, I think.)

Emily ran down the halls and took a sharp right. She slowed to a walk thinking that she wasn't being followed anymore. What's that I can... sense something. She started down the long hall. She tried opening every door but they were... locked. "Hello?" I swear there's something here!

(Sorry for taking so long, I was so caught up in Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. I had to get a cup of coffee and right down notes that show is so, suspenseful."

(I'll just run into you xD )

Rayu couldn't hear a reply from the girl, but heard another familiar voice. "Octavius! Emily! Where the hell did you go?"

It was Tessa. She sounded somewhat distanced, so he picked up his pace, calling back, even if she wasn't looking for him. "Tessa! Where are you?" He turned a corner, but couldn't seem to find the fire-holder. "Tessa!" he tried again. "It's Rayu!"

(Should I watch it? @CharmingCthulhu )

"Rayu?" It was definitely his voice, "Why the hell are you out here?" She looked around but didn't see anyone. Just endless corridors and doors, all of which seemed to be locked. The few that did open had nothing behind them. Tessa was lost- again.

"Octavius! Rayu!"

Emily was slowly walking down the hall now. There's definitely something here. She kept on walking, but sensed more beings. More than one. She started running down the hall looking for a way out. "Anybody!? Hello!?" Her footsteps echoed in the hall.

(Yes, if you like thrillers it's for you. I'll send you think link of episode one, I'm watching it on AnimeWaffles right now.

Rayu opened a door, only to find bricks. "Damn," he hissed under his breath. "Someone needs to fix these hallways. It's more complicated than rocket science!" Rayu closed the door and headed in another direction. "Tessa, can you still hear me?" He had no idea whether he was running farther from her or closer. He'd have to find her by following her voice. It's the only thing he could do at this point. Maybe he'd run into Emily or Kanari.

"I can still hear you!" Tessa called back, "Have you seen Emily anywhere?" She was going to die wandering the halls. She just knew it. This was the end of her worthless teenage life. They'd eventually find her skeleton, which wouldn't be recognisable. Her body would be tossed into a pit alongside other unidentified students... And now, Tessa was just being ridiculous. She smacked her forehead and kept going.

(Your character is so fun! xD And I love Octavius' curse. It's a really cool "problem." )

Rayu turned towards the sound if her voice. It was closer. "I was hoping I'd find her on my way to Kanari." Rayu sped up again. "Tessa, I need you to keep talking! Maybe I can find you using your voice." He wished he had Octavius' "presence-sensing" power. Then this would be hide-and-seek.

A thought hit him, and he skidded to a stop. "Tessa, do you have your phone with you?"

"Yes." Tessa said, "Are you planning to charge it? How much do you cost?" She really should stop making jokes now. It really wasn't funny, it just made her sound stupid. So, Rayu hadn't found Emily either. Damn. Wait, maybe Rayu knew what was going on? Maybe she could ask him! If she ever found him... Or anybody... If she didn't die here.

Emily was now slowing down tremendously. "26 in total." She'd occasionally check behind her shoulder. "32 now." She checked her watch. 26 more minutes. She looked around her paranoid, "So many..." Slowing to a stop she slouches over and sits on the floor. "Will I end up like them?" She opened her book and began to cry, trying to read the pages, but they were blurred by the tears.

(Just like with Sol, my Character(s) has his/her flaws.

They sense dead people! And remember in my character sheet, with the seeing things in there vision. Those are the dead people, they just haven't been able to unlock the full potential of the power!

Rayu smiled at her joke, replying, "Friends don't have to pay for me. And I'll charge it when I get to you, so take you phone out." Good, she had her phone with her. Now I can get to her. Rayu let out a spark from his fingertips. "Tessa, I'm going to use your phone to track you down," he explained. "When you feel yourself getting staticky, you have to step to the side, or I'm going to run into you, possibly destroying your phone as well." He let out a couple more sparks, preparing to change it body. "Are you ready?"

"Ready!" Tessa got her phone out and held it up. She didn't know what he meant by staticky but she wasn't an idiot. She didn't particularly want to get electrocuted today on top of everything else. This school was really weird sometimes.

(Wait, so when Octavius showers he showers as a girl? That must suck. @CharmingCthulhu)

(Oh...yeah...that sucks)

"Your hair will rise," Rayu said. "And I might make you fall over, so be prepared." Then he let electricity consume his body and located Tessa's

phone. At least he knew how to control his powers so he wouldn't shock anyone...yet. He shot himself towards the thin line of electricity that connected him to Tessa's phone, and he was closing in fast. Yep, he's probably knock her over. Her hair should be rising by now.

It was a weird feeling. Sort of like the prickly feeling she got from Serephene earlier but stronger. And it made her tingle all over. She dropped her phone and prayed that she wasn't about to get hit by Rayu. She covered her head with her hands and winced, ready for impact.

Rayu changed his form before he reached her, and good thing he did, because she was locked into place and would have electrocuted her. He ran into her, but he wrapped an arm around her waist and slammed his other against the wall, preventing then both from falling, as well as crushing Tessa. "Sorry," he said softly, letting her go and bending down to pick up her phone. He looked at her, chuckling a bit and put a hand on her head. It was the first time he had seen her without the fiery look in her eyes. "Here," he said, handing her the phone. "Sorry I scared you."

(I'm going to go to the super market for a bit--I need to buy something; I'll be back soon)

Emily got up from her sitting position, "Why did I have to run? Why couldn't I just tell her?" She says asking himself aloud. "I mean it was fine with me telling Karina, and then I was fine with the rest of the 'group' knowing. But why couldn't I let her know?" She asks herself as she turns around and starts walking slowly. "I wonder why?"

"It's okay. I- I wasn't scared. I don't get scared." Tessa said. She took her phone. It seemed to be working properly and there were no signs of damage. That was good. She had been scared- most people are before they're electrocuted, funnily enough- but she was fine now. She was surprised that she wasn't angry actually. Normally, this kind of thing would really annoy her. But she was fine, dazed perhaps.

Rayu ruffled his friend's hair before pulling his hand away. "Do you know if Emily has her phone with her?" Rayu stepped away from Tessa, releasing a shower of sparks. "Sorry. Had to get that out of my system." He pulled out his phone, checking to see if he had damaged it. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, so he tucked it back in this pocket before turning to Tessa. "Let's go find Emily."

"This halls go on forever..." She kept on walking sensing more and more beings. "Why are there so many?" She started seeing things in the corner of her eyes. Black shadow like silhouettes. "What the.." She started running down the hall. "Hello!? Is anybody there!?"

"And ask her some questions." Tessa said, "You ever touch my hair again, I will hurt you. I mean it!" She didn't like being touched in general. It made her feel uncomfortable. She began down the hallway.

"EMILY!" Tessa yelled, "WHERE THE HECK DID YOU GO?!"

Rayu watched Tessa start down the hallway. "Your hair is soft, by the way," he said randomly. "And if you're gonna kill me, I'm going to hide in your phone. But I won't do it again," he added quickly. He walked toward the nearest door and opened it, revealing an empty classroom. "I'll check the doors. Don't walk too far--I'll have to risk an attempt electrocute you again if we get separated." That time was a close call--he hasn't traveled like that in ages, and he was a bit rusty at it. It was a miracle Tessa wasn't harmed.

Looking down the hall and the many doors, Rayu wondered how long it'd take to find Emily. He still couldn't believed Emily didn't have teleporting powers. That girl...or guy...could disappear from sight so easily.

.... What? Tessa touched her hair. It didn't feel that soft. It felt normal, like hair. She followed Rayu as he began to check all the doors. She stayed close to him. If she died, she didn't want to die alone. She should at least get to die with one of her only friends. If she could call him a friend. Was he a friend? She wasn't sure.
