Realistic or Modern The Beginning of the End

( xD alright, I'll have them pass by their group... Or go around it.)

Scarlet currently waiting for her niece as she is currently grabbing and stocking food up into their truck. "Alright I think that's everything Scar!" She said softly as she popped her head out of the trunk and made her way around to the passenger side. Scarlet nodded and got in. "Good, let's get moving then Jenny." She said and started the car. Jenna nodded lightly as she looked ahead and struck a match before lighting up the house they had been staying at before Scarlet started driving away, where they were headed, was unknown for now but her aunt believe it would be safer for them to find a group to join so they would have higher chances of living. Jenna put in the Beatles Cd as they drove, humming lightly as Scarlet grinned a bit while driving.

"..." Ataka was silent, he looked at the ground, his reality was shattered, his whole world had been flipped upside down. Tears began to stream down his face at the sound of his real name. "No..." His face suddenly twisted in anger. "You're dead! You're dead! You're dead." He began to screech this, easily echoing through walls. Finally he stopped. "You died with them." Ataka began to sob. "Y-you're dead." The broken man was trying to convince himself of this.

"No, Mister Griffin... I'm right-fucking-here." He snarled as he teasingly slapped his cheek a couple of times. ".. I bleed, I eat, I drink, I sleep, I walk, I run, I cry, I laugh, I shout, I fear, I love. I. Am. Alive." He added, shaking his head. "Just like those people that're upstairs. Well, they were alive. Until you killed them both - tell me, Mister Griffin, what did they do? A man and his... his daughter, was it? What did they do wrong apart from try to survive? From what I can see, they didn't. They had no guns, no weapons of any kind, and you fucking went in and killed them like a couple of dogs!" He stood up and walked a few feet away, shaking his head. ".. Why, sir? Why would you murder those who do not deserve it? The only person that deserves to die here..." He slowly reached up and dragged the katana from the scabbard that was on his back - the screeching of steel-on-steel resonated through the walls. "Is you." He turned back to him, the katana loosely flailing around in his hand. (@GunzABlazinz)

Alex could hear the screaming from where they were. He didn't know who it was, but it sounded bad enough as it was. ".. Can you hear that?" He whispered as he looked around the three of them. (@Soul OMU, @Vyork Ashfin, @DrCompton)

DrTrollinski said:
Brad slowly reached out and let the dog sniff his hand. He then petted it softly on the head. "Eh, you ain't too bad." He smiled. "Maybe you can keep us company, but before you do that..." He rushed forward and gently unclipped the collar from its neck. It whimpered and even snarled in pain, but Brad got it off and replaced it by tying a dark blue bandana from his pocket and tying it around the dog's neck. He looked at the tag and smiled."Oreo." He chuckled. "His name's Oreo." (@TheHarlequinnCat)

The tears stopped, his fear and anger left his face. The only thing left was an unexplainable calm. "No... you died. You're not the Eric I loved and taught." Adrenaline began to pulse through Ataka's muscles and he pushed against the duct tape."Everybody died that day, even your teacher Mister Griffin. I killed him." He then paused. "Anybody evil enough to survive died that day, and were replaced with shells of who they used to be." His lips became a smile. "I only help them realize they did die." Inhuman strength pulsed through the psychopath, the edges of the duct tape began to fray. "I'm already dead, and the dead are walking right outside the door." He began to laugh. "We're just like those walkers. The dead walking." He stared into Eric's eyes, he was ready to die.

Eric sighed. He saw the quadruple-wrapped duct tape beginning to stretch. He couldn't let this happen - he sliced both of the upper parts of his arms so that he didn't have the power to push against them so harshly. The cuts weren't deep, but they were very fucking painful. The fine blade went through his shirt and skin with ease, so it was like one massive paper cut. "I am, Mister Griffin... I'm Eric Cross, fourteen years of age, student at your middle school. On my first week you were the primary teacher that helped solve a bullying issue that I was having. You don't remember, do you? You were a good man. You weren't this. You weren't a murderer. From what you said in class--.." He slowly sat down opposite him, the katana held in one hand while he kept the pistol aimed directly at the center of his body. ".. I got the impression that you never had family." He completed his sentence. "The only people you had, was us." He looked around for a moment.

"You don't seem to understand what life is right now. You're lost, lost in an abyss that quite a few people fell in to. But it's possible to come out. But I want you to look me in the eyes when I tell you something... because I saw the news reports. Schools, hospitals, police stations - everywhere. There were thousands dead in our first days. And you--.. You saw some of those people. Because you were a teacher. Now... Now you've come to blaming yourself for the deaths of those that you cared for. I did the same thing with my parents - But look at me now. I'm here, and I'm going around murdering murderers. My justice system is nice, I know." He looked him in the eyes. "Mister Griffin, it's not your fault." He said, continuing to stare into his eyes. "It's not your fault what happened. The people you've killed. The children you may or may not have killed - they didn't die. They survived the same way you did - through loss. Everyone lost something they cared for, but you are not dead. You are alive, just like me, Alex, and Carl - You remember little Carl, don't you? I think he came along to some parents' evening that you sat in on. He was younger when he met you, but he's alive... I want to know, would you have the nerve to kill me and another child because they're 'already dead'? What if a kid from your class escaped? Would you go and kill them because they're dead and just don't know it? Or would you be happy that they're alive. They're working on making this world what it was before? Living on... and all of that good stuff?" He added. He gripped the gun and sword tight and made sure they weren't within grabbing range. He just prayed that his words had had some sort of impact on this broken man. There's always the chance for redemption, in Eric's mind, and despite all the pain he's caused this teacher so far, he felt sorry for him - he could see just by looking into his eyes how destroyed and empty he was. How much he'd given up. He hoped that he'd at least be able to restore his faith. (@GunzABlazinz)

"I say we go and check that out. I'm not liking this one bit." He said, sighing. "If you want, I'll go and check by myself if you want to stay and watch Tom." He added. (@Soul OMU, @DrCompton, @Vyork Ashfin)

"Fuck you kid, lets go." Tom got up slowly grunting, and sweating, "Lets go deal with this so we can get home, so I can see Eric and Carl." he sighed, "Do I have a round in my chamber?" He looked at his gun, a little confused.

Delaney had to cover her mouth to stifle the laughter; it was such a childish name. "Oreo? Really.." She shook her head, looking back at the dog, "She doesn't even look like an Oreo. She's a shepherd.." Delaney smiled, reaching her hand down for the dog to sniff; it didn't reject her, looked at her cautiously, before coming a little closer. The dog was filthy, but looked more like a German Shepherd than anything else; a rather large dog that may have already began to outgrow the collar fitted around her neck. She waited only a few seconds before the dog allowed her to pet it, suddenly leaning into the touch. Delaney smiled, looking back to Brad, "So, I guess she can stay if she wants to." With that, she started unloading their things.

@DryPunishment... @DrTrollinski I'm trying not to powerplay the whole Wellington place but like idk ^^ had to put something super creepy in here)

(Wait. I thought the dog was a boy according to Brad, and now it's a girl? Wut? o_o Oreo isn't really a girlish name for a dog. I'm just pointing that out :D )

"Heh, I guess he (#genderconfusion) can." He chuckled gently under his breath and then gently rubbed the dog's chest. It was indeed a German Shepherd, and out here, it was possibly a hunter's dog which would definitely come in handy. It was just in dire need of a wash, that was all. And maybe some food and something to drink - a dog was fine on dirty water, most of the time. That was a thing that Brad never got about dogs - they could eat and drink almost anything that was from the nature, and yet they'd never really appear to get sick or anything like that. It was odd. Brad continued to pet the dog and a warm smile eventually came onto his face. "Oreo, eh? You know how to make people smile, don't you?" He chuckled again and the dog just wagged its tail in a mindless manner. It licked his arm and then turned to Delaney again, sniffing her body up and down - it could only reach as far as her stomach, of course.

Alex helped Tom and then grabbed Hunter's hand, sighing. "We'll go together. We'll head out the back and sneak into the next building - we'll listen for a while, and if we can figure out what's going on there we'll either act on it, or leave." He said. He lead them onward and out of the back of the building so they could safely go around and into the back of the other one. This was their best bet at being quiet. Alex kept Hunter close to his side and then pushed through the back door - they crept into the hallway and carefully listened out for just about anything...

"Stay quiet." Alex whispered to them all. (@Soul OMU, @DrCompton)

Tom nodded and walked with Hunter and Alex, he stayed quiet and let them lead. he was in no condition ot try and take control of what was currently happening, and he trusted the two of them to get the job done.

He fell silent, he blinked. It was obvious upon his face that the man was lost in deep thought. He had never thought of if that way. Blood streamed from his arms, he stopped trying to break free of his constraints. "I...." His voice was faded, the psycho had just reformed his world before it shattered again. Even for someone so young Eric had a perfect understanding of the world around him, something that most forgot or lost in time just as William had. Mr.Griffin looked down and began to cry, tears fell and he howled with regret and guilt. The people he had killed and simply dismissed returned, the expressions of their faces, the howls of pain before death. Within the sobs and moans William spoke. "Kill me...So many people..."

"I'm not going to kill you, Mister Griffin." He said boldly. "You've been caught in a loop of thinking that those around you are at fault for what happened. That they didn't help when they could have, even if they never had the chance in the first place. It's a mistake that you can redeem, but not if you're dead you can't." He explained, placing a hand down on his knee. "I'm still here. It wasn't you killing those people, Mister Griffin. I know that much." He added. (@GunzABlazinz)

---

"That's Eric in there..." Alex gasped in amazement. Who's he talking to? (@Soul OMU, @DrCompton, @Vyork Ashfin
(@TheHarlequinnCat - Shit, forgot to tag. I'm sorry D:)

"We dont have time to wait." Tom frowned, he looked worse. "We need to grab him and get the hell back, I need to take care of this properly." He sighed and coughed into his good arm.

Eric turned around to see Trent. Alex was fuming.

"Trent, for fuck sakes! Stop playing the fucking big military tough-guy act and think before you do something like that! You could get everyone fucking killed!" Alex screamed. He saw an old middle school teacher tied up in a chair and seemed to be quite beaten and cut. Eric looked at him and then looked back to William, sighing.

"I'll explain when we get back." Eric choked under his breath. He cut the teacher free and grabbed him by the sleeve. "Beg me all you want, I'm not leaving you behind. Get your ass moving, man." He said - William's weapons had all been taken by Eric after he knocked him out. "Just move. We've got some asshole trying to kill everyone out there as well, don't need you getting more hurt than you already are. Let's go!" He yelled at the others as he dragged William out of the room and out of the apartment building. He dragged him out of the back and dashed over to one of the cars, hopefully with everyone else following behind him.

Alex stayed back and made sure that Tom was alright - he let him put his arm around his shoulders so he had more support in walking - they went over and went behind the car with Eric. They were pretty much across the street from the mall. It was just a short walk forward and the sniper was probably still quite a distance from any of them, but it was still a necessary precaution.

A question played in Alex's head. Was Eric just torturing someone?

"Fuck--.. We need to make a run up there." Alex said while he pointed up the street. "We'll cut through the back alley and we'll end up right outside the mall if we take a left turn out of it. Regardless, we need to move fast." He added. (@Soul OMU, @GunzABlazinz)

"Who the hell is at the mall?" He looked at everyone, "Who is with Carl?" He looked at the two brothers, "Jesus Christ, you two just left him alone? What the fuck is wrong with you two?" He was Angry at Alex and Eric, "You two are suppose to be responsible! You've got others to look out for! This is why I didn't want any of you coming out after me!" He coughed again, and bent over, resting on his good arm and groaning a bit.
