Fantasy The Beginning Of The End(Open)

Chel glanced at Lilly before looking at the intricate roof tiles. She didn't want to answer her. She just wished she left her alone. She picked up a broken tile and examined it more closely. "I'm fine." Chel answered with a dull tone. She focused all her attention on the roof tile in her hands.

"Sweathear, I'm a woman, I know the lie behind that phrase." Lilly sighed, "Come on then, tell me the truth,"

Kaden rolled over in the bed, unable to sleep. He felt pretty dumb for not realizing that he was being over dramatic. He laid on his back and sighed.

Chel kept looking at the tile. She felt herself burning up. "Kaden isn't here right now. I don't know where he is and I'll wait right here until he comes back." Chel wiped her her eyes with her sleeve. She threw her tile on the road, it shattering into a million pieces.

"He's downstairs sleeping, come on kid, tell me what's wrong," Lilly nudged Chel with her shoulder. "It's alright."

He rolled out of bed and onto the floor and laid there for a moment before getting up and putting his shirt back on.

"I dont feel like talking, Lilly. Sorry..." She held her knees up to her chin. What she said was true. She examined the broken pieces on the ground.

Megan walked down the street clutching her knife tight. "Okay this area doesn't seem to have an infected." She mumbled to herself. She scanned the area every 5 seconds. "Okay look for supplies and food then let's get out of here." She said before breaking out into a sprint to the nearest house.

"Alright, that's fine, but at some point your gonna have to, it's no good to keep feelings bottled up."

Kaden sat on the bed again and stared at the wall, thinking. He finally felt in his place again, enough to where he could at least think. He took great advantage of this and rested his head in his hands as he stared at the wall absent minded.

Hachi awoke some time later and pushed off the snow he'd used as a blanket to check the gunshot wound on his foot. It wasn't bad and more importantly not infected so he stood a pretty good chance of not dying due to an infected wound. After climbing down from the tree he'd slept in. Hachi's gaze landed on the abandoned House he had been too tired to search the day before. He doubted there was anything in it, but it was better to look and make sure rather then assuming nothing was left in it.

"I've been holding some things up since I was 16. I'll be fine, don't worry." Chel reassured Lilly as she took a deep breath. The only thing Chel liked about winter was the smell. It brought her old memories and good thoughts. All it could do now was make her internally smile for a few seconds.
