Fantasy The Academy _Dropped _

Mariel still sat on the ground. "No, I'm stupid. Brother said I act like a child. He asked me if I was 8. Also you always tell me I'm wrong. So I'm stupid.", she stubbornly replied to Abraham @DankDoughnut

Abraham wasn't sure if he was allowed to touch her or not, but he decided it would be best not to right now. "You don't always have to be right to be smart, you can get things wrong sometimes." He sat down with his legs crossed after his legs started to get tired from squatting. "And brothers are meant to tease you, so try not to get too down about what he says to you." After that, he boldly decided to ruffle her hair like he had with Kai.

"I can guarantee that you are not stupid, Mariel." Kai approached and crouched down beside them as to complete the circle. He smiled between the two of them, glad to see they were easing up. "No one is stupid, and your name isn't 'no one'!" He laughed to himself. God, why did he laugh at his own jokes. That was more over a reference to the Odyssey than anything else, just to be funny and lighten the mood. No one liked a heavy mood, especially not Kai.

"Not at all, sweetheart." He shook his head slowly. He wondered if it was okay to call her sweetheart. It wasn't like he was interested in her or anything, so he assumed it would only be a little awkward if anything.

@Ami the breadling

Kai quickly jumped in with a wide grin. "Sweetheart?" His eyes were narrowed, and you could tell that he was teasing as he nudged Abraham's side with his elbow.

He shrugged. "You have a sweet heart, so I thought it suit you." He really had no idea why he called her that, it was jut a spur of the moment thing. He looked up at Kai. "Don't you start with me too, cutie." He wasn't being serious, but he was afraid he'd take him seriously.

@Ami the breadling @kayashirna

Kai laughed and put up his hands in defeat. "Alright, fine. Call your students what you like but leave me out of it, Sir Pointy Bites." It was every man for himself, he would gladly let the names go to someone else.

Abraham stood up, he was much more menacing and taller when he was standing. "Mr. I'm a human with a delicious looking soul." He ruffled his hair again, hoping that would make him a bit calmer about him saying that. He did look delicious, but souls were a bit like cheese. He would wait until Kai had aged a bit more, in hopes that his soul might taste even better than it would now.

@kayashirna

Kai laughed again, but it was a little more forced. "You- is it actually possible to.. Tell how someone's soul would taste..?" That got Kai's attention, alright. He was slightly terrified and somewhat intrigued.

Abraham sat down on the edge of a table. "Souls taste a bit like someones personality..." It was hard to describe to someone what a soul tasted like. "I haven't had a good soul in years, but demons don't often get that hungry." At this moment, his stomach growled. He hated his stomach for that, he even looked down and glared at it. He looked back up and smiled at Kai, "I hope you're not too scared of me." He really wanted to get close to him so maybe one day he could eat him.

@kayashirna

Kai slowly nodded his head. He understood, but didn't feel all that much more comforted. He brushed it off as he normally does and stood up again, offering a hand to help Mariel up too.

Facing Abraham he apologized for his nervousness. "Hopefully I wouldn't seem too.. Erm, too tasty. But I guess I'm glad to know your eating preferences and habits so I can be more aware." He spoke genuinely, always mindful of others and their health. Everyone was his child, everyone is his concern. "When did you last eat?"

Mariel took his hand and got up. "He woudnt eat you. Your under an angels guard.", she self confidently said. She stood beside Kai and took his hand.

Abraham smiled. "No, I'm not interested in eating him." He ignored Kai's question about what he liked to eat, he didn't want him to go find sacrifices or something for him. "I ate lunch a few hours ago, but that was human food." He spoke like how normal people would speak about brussel sprouts. Obviously, human food wasn't that great in his opinion. "Just out of interest, what's your preference for people?" He was actually asking him what his sexuality was but he couldn't think of a better way to word it.

Kai's eyes widened in surprise. Preference for people?! Was that what he was asking? Oh no, he needs to clear that up. With a stutter he waved his hands. "M-me? O-oh no you're mistaken, I- people aren't... I prefer animals. I don't eat people.." Kai laughed a little, completely clueless as to what the question was actually asking.

He felt comfortable. He whispered a thank you to Mariel and flashed a smile.

Mariel got joyed by his smile and thank. She nestled onto him again as she smiled back. "My big brother does not eat humans. And to be around he prefers the ones like his little sister. Right?", she asked Kai

"No, not what you eat or who you like to be around." Abraham leaned over to him. "I mean who you like to eat." He winked at him and nudged him a little. Hoping maybe he'd understand now. He was a little jealous that Mariel got to be so close to him, when he'd probably get fired for even being around this many students when he wasn't teaching. Being a demon really wasn't as cool as it sounds.

"Even if you stress it in many other ways he won't eat humans. My brother won't eat them, eat them, nor eat them in another way!", Mariel exclaimed.

Kaian was happy with Mariel, she was a kind and sweet person. With a small laugh he petted her head, "Yes, but I like all kinds of people."

Then he processed what Abraham had just said. His head shot up from Mariel to the teacher and he wiped his face with his hand, as if trying to wipe off his embarrassed and surprised expression. What a funny thing to ask a student, but he didn't really mind. With his hand over the bottom half of his face he looked down and raised his eyebrows. "I don't have a preference, I think it's called a bansexual.. No.. Wait, pan. It's pan." His muffled voice came through just barely audible.

Kai patted her shoulder reassuringly. He spoke up a little louder, just to pacify Mariel. "I was just talking about pans. It's silly, don't worry about it."

@Ami the breadling

Abraham smirked, he'd heard what he'd said. "Well, pan man, do you have anyone you like?" He was careful not to be too interested in this and he tried to be as normal and casual about it as possible.

Kai laughed, digging deeper, are we? With a smirk he responded, "Depends on if the teacher wants to participate in 'Share my love life' day, too. What, are you looking for some juicy teachers' lounge gossip?"

What a funny guy, Kai liked this teacher, even if he was capable of eating his soul.

"You could say that." Abraham nodded an affirmative but also shrugged. "I don't really have a love life, so I like to live mine through other student's love lives." He found this sort of thing interesting too, teen romances always guaranteed drama. He didn't expect Kai to like anyone, but it'd be cute if he did.
