"Well if I've been given the gift, id be selfish of me not to use it, Its my hours of pain against their days of it" she tilted her head to the side and smiled a bit "My brother and my friend don't like me doing it too much though...Thats why I want to be a nurse, I can care for people and know how to help them with medicine and herbs too"

"Ah, yeah, Its just me and my brother though" she replied twiddling the end of her hair with her finger tips as she occasionally glanced into the bucket.

"Oh..." He mutters, not wanting to upset her. "So!" He says in an upbeat tone. "See how the gold is turning extremely red and liquidy? Means it's almost time to shape it."

Rose hopped off the seat and made her way over, looking into the bucket "Oh, okay!" she said with a smile. "How do you shape it when its all gloopy like that?"

"We cool it, you melt it down to remove sediment and other rock. Now we allow it to cool into a soft solid, and use tools to give it shape." He explains as he pours water onto the fire, extinguishing it.

"Oh, alright" she goes over into the corner, where the tools are kept "So we use these?, I think I've seen people do this part when I was at the market before, but that was a while back....How long have you been doing this for anyways?"

"Roughly... 40 years." He says, as he takes a step back from the smoke from the recently extinguished fire. He wipes his hands on the lap of his pants.

"Wow, you must be super good then" Although Rose was almost in her Twenties her personality was rather childish, mostly because of a sheltered upbringing "Did you ever have an apprentice?" she asks as she examines the tools

"Nope." He says as he brushes his hair back with his hand. "Not many dwarfs make the walk down. Most spend their whole lives up there, but a life like that just wasn't for me." He says, somewhat sentimentally as a small smile forms on his face.

"Ah, so you have the want to travel then?" she said as she put down one of the tools she was holding "Have you been many places?"

"It'd be easier to name the places I haven't been too. I usually take trips like this, use the money I earn selling this gold to enjoy myself, then go back up to the mountains and restart with a new place." He says with a smile. "Warm climates are a nice break from the chilled mountains."

"And you don't get lonely?" she replied, tilting her head to the side

"well, I care about you a lot and after the...uhm..kiss we had I-I thought maybe....but you said those aren't serious and....." his sentences were broken as he spoke in a low nervous, rambling manner as he looked at the ground, twiddling his fingers.
 
"Ah, the forest..." she looked in the direction of it, "It isnt as safe as it used to be... something is a miss there...I cant quite explain it myself..."
