Luckily for you guys you don't run into magic users as your opponents very often. Same for psychics.

If you want to be able to disable your opponent without killing them, they can come in very handy.
Absolutely! But when have we ever done that?

I love the idea of being able to buff the party though. Unless that would overbalance things? With Eron being a hard melee-hitter and Terra soon to become one, I honestly don't want Snowfall filling that role (hence his desire to get a Rune Shield instead of going all Paired Weapons). I want Snowfall to be a support character more than a big damage dealer.

EDIT: I also don't want to turn him into another Gradicus if you get my meaning. =)

But yeah! I was just thinking - if Terra is becoming an Tattooed Undead Slayer, are you happy with her equipment? Would she benefit from one of the Rune Swords Snowfall is carrying around?

Yeah. Very true! Most of the time, we are the magic-users and psychics that baddies see as opponents! Hah!

The fact that you are concerned about being thought of as greedy speaks well of your character.

Well, Psychie? Maybe you want to take a gander through Snowfall's arsenal? He'll be the first one to point out that he didn't earn those Rune Swords by himself. Terra is welcome to either or both if she wants them. If nothing else, Terra can get a strong idea of what kind of Rune Weapon she would like to use as her main weapon?

We haven't collected our reward from Brazamal yet and Snowfall wants to see Moloch again. I'm convinced everyone in this RP wants the others to be excited about their character and I'm willing to share to make that happen. But in order for that to take place, each of us has to know what it is we're looking for - and like me looking for a new tattoo for Snowfall, only I can find it. So check out what Snowfall's been hauling around all this time and maybe it will get some ideas going in Terra's head?

Sherwood Sherwood Did I sell back the cyberdeck Snowfall is not going to use or did I just think about telling you? I think I sold it back for what I paid for it.

Also, concerning all this talk about Rune weaponry, now I can't help but think about what Lord Brazzy has waiting for us.

Psychie Psychie Also, remember this longsword we won during our escapades in Central America:

Rune Sword - "Demon Slayer"
The second is a traditional longsword. Well balanced, it is designed to be wielded with one or two hands.

The longsword is also a minor rune weapon, one that can only be used by a person of good alignment. It is a demon slayer, doing extra damage to their ilk. Certainly not something that Salnesh would want hanging around.

Despite its rather simple appearance, the second sword has a few nice goodies to it. It will inflict 5d6 MD in melee, but does 10d6 to demons, provides the same +1 to all Saving Throws, and it possess psionic abilities of all Sensitive and Physical abilities, plus these three Super Psi powers: Hydrokinesis, Electrokinesis, and Mind Block Auto Defense. It has a battery of 100 ISP to fuel its powers and is highly intelligent.

I had forgotten about that weapon. That is an impressive sword. I lack psy powers, so that would be a nice addition.

Great! Thank you for confirming. That's one less thing to wonder about. =)

Go for it! =)

The Mind Block Auto Defense and the 100 I.S.P. bank alone are worth it. Since Chi and I.S.P. are interchangeable here, there is a small chance Snowfall might ask for it if his own Chi runs low. Plus all those Psychie powers! And demon-chopping too? What's not to like for a Tattooed Undead Slayer? =)

I'll have Snowfall offer it up to Terra when he learns that she is changing classes? That sound reasonable?

Well, I'm only having fun if everyone here is and that includes you! =)

Yeah! I'm just being me! =)

So, what else will Terra need to bring herself up to speed? Do you want any advice on tattoos? Are you after any particular gear?

Stuff like... did you know that tattooed folks like Terra and Snowfall (or anyone 7th level or above) no longer have to physically touch their tattoos to activate them? =)

I have a nice selection of tattoos picked out for my conversion to Undead Slayer.

I thought it was level 4, but in any case, we are set to be able to wear clothes/armor without having it interfere with the activation of the powers.

For the Undead Slayer, it is level 4 to be able to activate tattoos with just a thought. It may be different for other classes.

Huh. Well, according to Secrets of the Atlanteans (page 143, physical copy), under "Using Magic Tattoos" there is this:

"At seventh level and higher, Tattooed Men are so skilled that they can activate any tattoo by concentration alone, and do not need to touch the skin art in order to activate it. An important ability when your hands are full or bound, or your body is covered in body armor or a spacesuit."

Hmm. Is it 4th level somewhere else? Not that it makes a difference to us, but Palladium is unfortunately notorious for changing its own stories (for example, who invented Techno-Wizardry? Different books say different things). =)

It must be a class-specific thing, because it says this:

9. Advanced Tattoo Training: Undead Slayers rely heavily on their tattoos. In fact, for many, they are the only weapons and means of protection that they employ. This gives them the edge as undisputed masters of Tattoo Magic. At level four, the Undead Slayers are so in tune with their tattoos that they no longer have to touch a tattoo to activate it. With a mere thought (it still counts as one melee action), the warrior can activate any one of his tattoos.

Pg 70 of the Secrets of the Atlanteans pdf, in the description of the Undead Slayer.

Huh! Palladium does it again!

EDIT: Then again, yeah, I agree that it must be a Tattooed Undead Slayer thing to get that benefit at 4th.
