I had another series of thoughts too - if Snowfall can take some time to recharge his P.P.E., maybe use Terra's P.P.E. batteries, as well as use his Tattoo battery spell, he can go straight back to the Badger and get them out of harm's way? They have no way of knowing our fate and I don't think we have the means to communicate with them.

While there, and because Snowfall can get around at 8 times the speed of sound, he (being a messenger and all) could perform the following:

1. Get Badger and crew to safety.
2. Tell the Rat-kin what happened so they know what's up.
3. Report in with Snazzy Brazzy to tell him that the deed is done and tell him where we'll be hanging out?
4. Anything else you can think of.

Once done tying up these loose ends, he could then Dimension Hop back to Terra's family's home (probably within a day's time) and our characters could have a kind of vacation of sorts, between there and Brazzamal's manor and maybe Dweomer thrown in? I, for one, am interested in what Morrolan wants to do with his life and aid him in the doing.

What do folks think?

Sounds like a plan - might be worth mentioning the ratfolk near Bramazal as well, just in case that something could be done for them. Pretty sure that there are better places for them to hang out than right underneath their former captors.

I am fine with this plan. I can lend Snowfall my PPE to get back to the Badger along with my two PPE Batteries to get there and back, then we can take our vacation. Terra can tap into the resources here to get my Undead Slayer tattoos, since it will take some time for her to get them all added to her. We can rest and recover over the course of the next few weeks/months, depending on what Sherwood has in mind for us.

I can work with this. We can montage some of this, since it will take Terra several months to get her tattoos all added to her body. Once that is done, I can introduce the next story arc to you guys.

I'm all for it, especially if we are welcome in Clan Draco's realm!

Yeah. The first thing Snowy wants to do is see to their welfare and chat with them about what they want to do with their lives. Going to Lord Brazzy about it is an excellent idea! If he doesn't know something that might help, perhaps his Ley Line Walker ("Orson?" It's been awhile since I've used his name) buddy does?

What all do we want to accomplish during this downtime? What all can we do?

1. Collecting reward?
2. Shopping? Snowfall would dearly like to thank Moloch for selling the Rod of Weather Control to him; that bad boy came in useful! Not to mention the other goodies like the cloaks and talismans. Plus... want to buy P.P.E. batteries! =)

Sherwood Sherwood How are you working a second Martial Art in terms of experience? What can Snowy expect when he does level to 9th? Or other folks if they decide to select another system down the line (not that it will be anytime soon - the xp levels are now few and very far between).

It could be possible to convince the ratfolk to leave the caves that they are living in. If you were to use the Badger to move them, most of them can fit inside it or on the observation platform on the rear of the vehicle. It could then be used to take them north to Dweomer and given to Brazamal as a snack. (Just kidding; he wouldn't eat them. Probably. lol) Brazzy's assistant is named Olsen, by the way.

You came up with a system in Broadsword that I like. Do you mind if I implement it here? If not, I'm not sure what I'll be doing with the second or third martial art techniques that a person comes up with.

But is that where they would want to go? With Snowfall assisting, they have a great deal of the entire Megaverse to choose from. Maybe he's been to realms that go by the After The Bomb setting where they might fit right in? As with Morrolan, Snowfall wants to do right by the Rat-kin.

Olsen! That's him. =)

Go for it! And thank you for asking!

Besides shopping, what else might we do in the land of the Atlanteans? Hey Sil! Silanon Silanon Let's get Eron a glow-in-the-dark non-magically-powered tattoo! "Sir Duncan Cooley Rulez!" Or get his robot horse tricked out? What do you say? =)

Could Snowfall get one of his own magical tattoos swapped out if he desired?

To Psychie and Sherwood especially, what precisely is Terra doing? She is remaining an 8th level character but becoming an Undead Slayer? Of what level? Is she multiclassing (which, last I heard, was a pain in the tush in Palladium)?

The ratfolk are going to be a bit hesitant to trust anyone, but you guys have done them a solid with wiping out the vampire that was hunting them, so they are more likely to be open to listening to you. They have been bred to be literal lab rats and slave labor, so anyone treating them with kindness and respect will be a real shocker for them. There are a few places that they may be more at home, like in one of the fantasy settings where they may be able to fit in better. I will have to do some thinking on this.

Thank you for giving me the go-ahead, my friend.

You are talking about replacing an existing tattoo? Sure. I will let you do that.

Terra is keeping her current xp and is dropping the ability to work the Automations and replacing it with the bonuses of the Undead Slayer and its tattoos. Before I gave out the xp bonus, she would have actually gone down a level to 7th, but now she stays up in the middle of 8th level. We already have her list of bonuses and tattoos selected, and Terra will be ready to go through her upgrade to Undead Slayer soon, then Psychie can post the new version of Terra.

The change for Terra does not involve any new skills, just her powers will change.

So she isn't multi-classing but swapping out to become an 8th level Undead Slayer with no former Battle Controller abilities?

Oh! And another thing I wanted to (re)share and be on the lookout for - Rune Shields! I don't know about you guys, but Snowfall is no dual-wielder and loves the idea of added defenses! =)

Correct. If I let her keep the Controller powers with the Automations and let her get the tattoos, it would be far too out of balance for the game for everyone else.

I have something in mind for you in this department for your next story arc, don't worry!

Sherwood Sherwood Heyo! This was the tattoo Snowfall is strongly considering replacing (he has an item that can do it more efficiently):

18. Energized Impervious to Energy -- Temporarily makes tattoo user impervious to all energy-based attacks. 45 P.P.E. for 2 rounds/level of experience. "Red Lightning Bolt"

I might be willing to entertain the option of having new tattoos made up based on existing spells, but that will have to be on a case by case basis.

O.K. My curiosity is still piqued. After looking through World Book 15 three times now, I can't decide on a new tattoo; there are so many that I don't think he'd get to use but once or twice like keeping a Rift open - neat thought! But... I'd like something Snowfall will use more often than once in a blue moon. Know what I mean?

When you offered this, did you have something specific or certain spells in mind? I don't know Palladium's spells half as well as I know D&D/Pathfinder.

Oh and if anyone else has any ideas for a new tattoo, I'm up for it. =)

Don't know if you already have these, but some tattoos that I saw that piqued my interest are:

Fire Projection and Thermal Imaging
Anti-PPE / Anti-ISP weapons
Super Healing and Resurrection
Supernatural Vision
Negate Magic Barriers
and finally, Negate Magic

Nothing specific came to mind, but there are tons of spells that are in the Book of Magic that would be interesting to incorporate. Like the level 10 spell Meteor, or simple spells like Carpet of Adhesion or Magic Net. It just depends on if you wish to try to get a utilitarian spell or a more combat oriented spell.

All good picks.

Purr Purr do you have Invulnerability? The level of MDC protection is second to none in the books, especially at your current level.

(Italics mine below)

Fire Projection and Thermal Imaging - Don't need it/have the Multi-optics helm and shooting fire is kind of O.K.?
Anti-PPE / Anti-ISP weapons - What do you mean by this?
Super Healing and Resurrection - Got it! =)
Supernatural Vision - A Kitsune with a Multi-optics helm and "magic helmet" pretty much has this covered.
Negate Magic Barriers - How many magic barriers do we go up against? I know only one; the one D. Rex's PC encountered.
and finally, Negate Magic - Got it! It's really good!

There is one I'm seriously considering - Air Powers (World Book 15, page 159 in physical copy). That one gives a number of neat abilities, one of which is Wind Rush which really helped in Lone Star!

Hmmm. A spell that might be interesting is Speed Weapon. It basically doubles the number of attacks you get with a melee weapon. Would that be a viable spell to introduce as a tattoo?

Anti-PPE / Anti-ISP weapons - What do you mean by this?
These are two options available to weapon tats. They do their normal damage, but not to MDC/SDC, but instead to your PPE/ISP supply. So if you have a tat longsword, it might look a lot like a psy sword doing its 2d6 damage straight to the PPE or ISP of the target. They can also work against PPE based force fields like Armor of Ithan (in the case of the PPE one) and TK force fields if it is is the ISP one.

Ahh... I seriously think it would be overpowering except for that note at the end - "This spell can not be used on magic weapons..." I don't know about you, but that's pretty much everything Snowfall is carrying.

Oh! The P.P.E./I.S.P. stealers! Yeah. I thought about that and I came up with the conclusion that we could probably sooner kill the opponent than drain its energy?
